Erm the only nerf she have now its that her traps wont work on the end game

"tHe OnLy NeRf ShE hAvE nOw" was her only hope for viability.

I'd say moris + infinite loading screens + random crashes + Survivors disconnects

Don't forget the farm games 🙄

  • @LCGaster

All of the questions were so vague there's no way you can say no so definitively. We don't know what a crafting system, clans, or battle pass mean in the context of this game.

  • @Ihatelife

That's not even close to the truth and hasn't been for a long time. Whiny Killer mains led to nonstop Survivor nerfs for all of the recent updates.

    @Sairek

That... goes both ways you know? Don't post on public forums if you don't want to hear alternative opinions. 🤷‍♂️

  • I don't particularly care if we get actual cross-play but one thing I would absolutely love is if our account data was synced across platforms so I could play DBD on the Switch without having two separate progressions.

In addition, DBD needs to reach its targeted 60 FPS on console and PC (minimum specs) before they add actual cross-play as that would largely close the skill gap between console and PC players.

  • You people will whine about quite literally anything.

  • Very underused and much better than Self-Care.

4man SWF is insane and needs to be removed

    Nope!

    1. Increase the hitbox size.
    2. Remove Exhaustion from the perk and instead make it a perk cooldown.
    3. Light the perk up when it will successfully stun the Killer and/or change the exit locker prompt to say "Head On".
    4. When the Killer searches the locker, if Head On is ready, automatically jump out and stun the Killer.

I believe these QoL changes would put the perk in a much, much better place.

  • Perk should brighten maps like it used to (maybe an additional tracking effect?)

    Definitely implement the FOV slider.

  • I don't particularly care either way if they add cross-play or not but if they want the Switch version to sell, one great way to do that would be to at least allow us to use one Dead by Daylight account that holds all of our progression so us PC players could also play on the go.

@Sairek This is why I am constantly trashtalking the store, calling cosmetics "fodder" and calling people who get excited for new cosmetics "cattle".

The game's in shambles and currently (and since a long while back) it has been a game I'd NEVER recommend to anyone. I rather see Behavior lay off some cosmetics people and get their hands on more developers or QA personnel so they can fix their game.

Them, without a care in the world, adding even more cosmetics (that's also so ######### overpriced its ridiculous) to the store.. it gives me a bad taste in my mouth.

If the game was really in shambles and you don't recommend it to anyone you wouldn't have over a thousand posts on the forums much less play it.

Oh yes, how dare BHVR add EVEN MORE cosmetics that people want to the game "without a care in the world".

I get the impression that they aren't making as much money from the store and DLC's as they had hoped seeing as both can be acquired for the most part through play time. It seems they are trying to find a way to make more money.

I personally think a big reason they aren't making as much is because a lot of people (myself included) don't want to financially support them until they actually start balancing the game properly. Nothing else seems to work, so maybe speaking with our wallets will. Money isn't an issue for me at all and I like to financially support the games I play even when I could use in game currency, but I and many others just don't want to do that until we see actual good changes for the games health.

TLDR: They need more money coming in and those changes you mentioned are just one way they are looking to do that. Based on the survey it seems they're looking at a couple others as well.

    (bunny feng, yes please)

The developers ARE trying to balance the game. Maybe you're new or something? This game is far, far more balanced than it has been in the past. That said, it is the nature of an asynchronous game that it isn't going to be "balanced." What is balance in a game like this? Where you win every time? Or where every situation is the exact same so you never have to switch up your methods? In my games there is a fair distribution of wins and losses and even those are never cut and dry and I believe that's balance.

Instead of whining about balance we should focus on actual issues, namely the rates of DCs and three man lobbies, things that actually can mess up the experience.

  • These are awesome dude! I wish I was artistically talented so bad 😂

    What about Meg?

  • Luck definitely needs to play a bigger role in this game. IIRC, the offerings don't even do much in the way of Luck (I believe Salty Lips only nets you 4% increased Luck.)

  • @LordziPL I'm so down for a Battle Pass-type thing for this game if they make it so you can purchase it once and earn enough playing the game throughout the season to purchase the next. That way for the us dedicated players it's a one-time thing that grants rewards in the way of boosted leveling, BP and XP boosters, exclusive skins, all that.

  • Pay attention to the Survivors in your lobby and use your context clues (scratch marks, generator progress, etc.) There's a limited amount of places they can hide and if you play a lot of Survivor you've just got to be a bit more observant and know the spots to find an immersed Claudette.

  • Iron Will because Self-Care is trash.

  • What everyone else is saying, only if others are cleansing.

If I'm in a full SWF I make sure everyone knows not to cleanse because it turns The Plague into a Huntress with a flamethrower. 💀

  • I wouldn't go so far as to say that it was broken but it was by far the most powerful perk in the game in the hands of capable Survivors who could run the Killer for a long time only to get a free escape and run them again.

Personally, I think DS is in the best place it could be at the moment and it makes for some fun tank builds with Deliverance in addition to working very well as an anti-tunneling perk. I honestly think it could stand a couple of small buffs.

    1. Make it able to be used more than once. This would remove incentive to continue tunneling the Survivor and go after other people.
    2. Don't make Enduring affect the stun.
  • I'd really like this! +1

  • In the survey the developers asked what we would think about a "crafting system" which I'm assuming is referring to item/offering combining.

    For example: Brown med-kit + brown med-kit = Yellow med-kit

I don't believe that there's, A) enough items or B) addons that are functionally similar enough to warrant a system like this. How does a green med-kit combine with a yellow mid-kit versus a brown med-kit? How do you combine a styptic agent with a rubber glove when they are functionally completely different? It gets complicated!

I'd much rather have something along the lines of what you're proposing in that I could sell my 60 rubber gloves for maybe 50% of their original price (1,500 BP) for a total of 90K BP that I could put to better use.

  • @SmokePotion Calling something pay to win is inherently calling it overpowered, no? Like I said, nothing is a staple build in this game because it all depends on how competent your teammates and your opponents are with a lot of luck mixed in.

  • No, this would be quite simple to add and a great QoL for players who want to mix it up. The random perk websites are fine but can't account for the perks you don't have on certain characters! +1

  • Yes please! Devotion serves no actual purpose at this point and I'd love to see some rank rewards. +1

  • @Milo Oh my gosh please! I can't double pip as Plague with her less than amazing perks but I can 4K with some sweatiness.

  • Are you listening to anything that has been said? This is not the place for bug reports and a report has already been made. @LastShoe was just giving you a heads up and you turned rude about it. The developers read the forums but they don't have time to give everyone a personal response otherwise they wouldn't be working on the game.

  • I don't see why not! From the survey we know that the devs are eyeing more graphic options so this is definitely a possibility. +1

  • I'd like to see some sort of SWF tracking implemented so long as it isn't cut and dry that the Killer will dodge you. This will be a more feasible and likely feature once dedicated servers are implemented live because something like this isn't possible with the current P2P system.

  • A Paragraph DLC with the RPD + Leon and Claire as Survivors would be amazing!

Not sure about adding a Killer though since Mr. X and Birkin are less human than the Killers we have now and it would seem weird that they would be stopped by pallets and the like.

  • @SmokePotion

That specific combo isn't overpowered though. The killer spent time building stacks towards Spirit Fury, let you get points off of stuns, etc. for something that any Survivor worth their salt can negate by throwing down the pallet early. Even if SF/Enduring was the reason you went down the Killer still committed 2 or 3 perks of their 4 slots towards that down and they deserve it.

    @Bravo0413

    I can't help you but you're wrong. 😂

    @TheAntiSanta

"Predatory business practices" is a harsh way of putting what any business does.

"...and it would be a pretty massive buff to an already very good Killer."

High Rank Killer = Billy,Nurse,Hag,Spirit(without sound bug)

I would like to see another killer in high rank.

And it would be a good buff, because you need much skill for headshots.

    @Peanits

Not a good buff considering how inconsistent hatchets are.

  • @Chaotic_Riddle said:

They'd have to get the rights in order to do so. They can't outright make cosmetics for the licensed killers without having the legal ability to do so, but since they managed to create content for Ash, it shouldn't be too hard to get the process done, it just...Might take a long time in order to do so.

All licensed survivors have alternative cosmetics it's just that Ash was the first licensed character since they added the cosmetics store. I'd love to see them get the rights to put more licensed cosmetics into the game though!

  • I don't think you understand how much 5% speed is in this game. I'd be okay with an action de-buff in addition to sound fixes so being injured is something Killers can hear better but nerfing actual movement speed is another unnecessary nerf to Survivors as whole that might be the killing blow.

@T0xicTyler Definitely. But there are games out there that monetize their game BETTER than DbD's developers do. Like Warframe. Everything in their store can be unlocked via gameplay and not too extreme of a grind, either.

GREED made sure that Behavior locked high value skins behind Auric cells.

GREED made sure that Behavior locked the cosmetics available to us "for free" behind a grindwall that requires WEEKS of contast gameplay in order to get passed.. at least the cosmetics that aren't color swaps.

So yes, Behavior is a business and that seek to make money but they're walking in the shoes of companies like EA and Activision instead of trying to become a shining example within the gaming industry when it comes to monetization.

These are just cosmetics though which are not necessary in the slightest. This game is a steal at the price point of $20 in terms of how much value you get out of it. This isn't even to speak of the extra gameplay you can get out of DLCs. And yes, I know console players pay $30 for the base game but let's not forget that many of those console players also got it for free.

  • @fcc2014 said:

@T0xicTyler The game for most wasn't $20. when you factor in the dlc chapters and potential cosmetics and i think at console launch the game was $30. The description wasn't really clear of a price point, time frame for the pass or rewards.

I'm referring to the base PC game which is where I assume most players are since the console situation isn't great as I understand it. Even with solely the base game you can get A LOT of value out of it.

    @SmokePotion said:

    @T0xicTyler

    I can see your point.

But on the other hand, this game has a pretty heavy pay to win situation as it is. Pretty much every killer perk that's used, is paid for.

Survivors have a little better pool, but better perks can be bought with actual money.

And since that happens every 3 months.... You can see where i'm going here.

If it included the newest DLC for less, I guess I could see the community kinda turning a blind eye to it. Some of us would still be genuinely upset, a slice would leave. But the majority would probably accept it, since it would be a cheaper form of the current p2w cycle, and gives us more.

In fact, that thought might deserve it's own topic.

It still isn't pay to win though. Your match results are contingent on your skills and the skills of your teammates/the survivors with a little RNG thrown in there. There isn't a perk in this game that is actually broken or so powerful that would guarantee you winning.

Basing what the devs should do for their game on the what the community is whining about today is dangerous. People are going to be "genuinely upset" and threaten to leave no matter what the developers do.

  • Everyone is so whiny in this game. People are accusing the devs of being greedy and now suddenly have a problem with the skin and game prices so let's be clear: You got this game for a steal! $20 and 2,500 hours in and counting is a very, very good deal.

I'm all for some sort of season pass under two conditions:

    1. We can get exclusive skins, Bloodpoint and XP boosters, and Auric Cells out of it.
    2. We can either purchase this pass on a seasonal basis (every 3 months, preferably not every in-game season) or purchase it once and earn enough Auric Cells from it every season to re-purchase it and still profit.
  • @se05239 said:

I genuinely believe that the only thing the devs were interested in, is how many are interested in the addition of a Battle Pass.

When have the devs ever been greedy? They are a business, you know?

  • @not_Queen said:

It's a feedback survey and a poll of opinions, we want to learn more about our Community's interests.

In this case, the ''purchasable pass'' is a system that is already present in many games, the question is: is DBD Community interested in something like that? That's all there is to it.

I think this is definitely something to explore!

  • This is a very interesting idea! +1

  • @tt_ivi_99 said:

Sure, as soon as gen rush is gone :)

Gen rushing doesn't exist. Git gud.

  • I'd be fine with a sort of paid Battle Pass (Blood Pass) that you could buy through multiple seasons or buy it once and earn enough to purchase it again like how Fortnite does it. I'd LOVE to see exclusive cosmetics, Bloodpoint and XP boosters, and Auric Cells be incentives for leveling up this Blood Pass.

  • Everyone saying "iTs MeAnT tO bE dAnGeRoUs" is delusional. It's just bad design that a Killer can block Survivors in the basement completely. Widen the stairs a little bit, why the hell not?

  • @MistressChara said:

She's statistically the most likely to be toxic. Somebody did a survey of 500 games and Feng Min accounted for like (rough numbers based on what I remember) 9% of the played survivors but like 22% of the total toxicity. (defined as teabagging, flashlight clicking, or insulting in post-game.)

That being said she's my favorite survivor and I love her <3

Toxicity is so subjective that data isn't real data.

  • It's a cool idea! Probably not at the top of the dev's list though LOL

  • @m1_hero said:

I know the devs are survivor favored but 80% of the player base is survivors, i am trying to give good constructive criticism in hopes that they might listen like they did partially with the backlash from the pig nerfs, personally i think pig should move at 105 like myers T1 when crouched but that's a topic for another time.

Also the vault speed just looks so silly, and unnecessary seeing as it's only really viable for his first hit.

I'm posting hoping that other like minded people show support and to make our voices herd, because not posting might give the devs the impression that this is acceptable to the community or for people to disagree with the cold hard numbers that have been posted and to hear their side of the story.

Game hasn't been survivor sided in a long time dude.

  • I suggest you play it yourself and then give your own feedback. I haven't been participating in this PTB beyond one round to see the endgame collapse because it's not interesting enough to me. I saw No0b3's video as well and the hitboxes and chainsaw collision did look worse off, but I'm going to give the devs the benefit of the doubt and attribute it to the servers still being tested.

  • I wouldn't mind but it probably wouldn't happen.
