Right ya mugs time to get you off your sprint burst drugs and actually use decent exhaustion perks...

So we're gonna break this down into 3 parts: Stats of the perk, comparison and why the dbd community is the worst for picking perks that are OP...

    1st Stats of The Perk

Lithe - When Vaulting a pallet or window you get a boost for 3 seconds and suffer from exhaustion from 40 - 60 seconds

    ( depending the level)

Now to you guys that seems the worst out of the rest of the exhaustion perks, my reply is ######### and that brings us to comparison...

    2nd Comparison

    Balanced Landing:

Lithe is a hell of a lot better then balanced landing and i dont even know why you consider this to be better...

First of all you can't even use balanced landing on every map and lithe you can use and every map, so straight up your opinions are well shi t...

Second of all this perk is hardly ever used when your not attempting to do so, think about it how often do you jump of a high area in a chase 1/10 from what I've seen...

When do you watch another teammate get Chased and there running to a hill to jump off during a chase hardly ever...

Third, balanced landing has a terrible limit of use where as lithe you use pretty much every game...

Last thing, there is no barrier inbetween the sprint boost you get for the perk meaning you gain less distance or less chances of Escaping if that's what your hoping for, lithe on the other hand has an area that you can vault through meaning that when your sprint boost is active you have further to run because the killer has more to get passed...

    Head on:

First of all, ######### is your problem here how is head on better then lithe...

Head on is for stunning the killer and hardly making distance but the one thing I'll give head on is that it's good for saving unlike any other exhaustion perk which I give props for...

There's not much to say against head on since its a very different perk to lithe but the chances of using it are dimmer then lithe's that's all I can say really...

    Adrenaline:

How this is better then lithe I have no idea where you got that from...

First of all, Adrenalines usage is 0 to 1 there is only one usage to it and it hardly ever happens and even more hardly ever pops when your downed which makes the usage of this perk the worst of all...

Lithe has more use throughout the game then just the end even Tho Adrenaline has the advantage of the heal...

That's all I gotta say for adrenaline...

    Dead hard:

This one I can actually understand because of the debate ( that will happen when my opinion is live)...

Dead Hard is an equal one to lithe you get a little boost...

First of all, the advantage with lithe you get far distance and can move to a whole new location but with dead hard your stuck in one place with that perk giving you the hopes of running it longer...

Dead Hard on the other hand easily takes the more usage one but only by about half more then lithe...

Last of all, Lithe isn't a needed perk dead hard is, dead hard can only be used when in bleeding state and lithe doesn't need that risk factor to it...

Infact lithe when getting hit on the window/pallet gives you a hell of a bigger boost...

Thats all I gotta say for dead hard a comparable one...

    Sprint burst ( last one):

Your beloved sprint cra ppy burst let's explain why this overrated perk is worst then lithe...

First of all, lithe and sprint burst have the same usage pretty much but sprint burst is a needed perk which lithe isn't lithe is more of a chilled perk where you like alright let's move here, so stress is what I'm getting at to cause you making terrible decisions...

Second of all, the sprint boost on lithe is better then sprint burst, sprint burst only gets you away from the killer with no barrier to it meaning that the killer can catch up faster...

With lithe the killer has to go around the vault or go and vault the window with an extra sprint boost to catch up with...

That's all I need to say...

Last Part, the dbd community opinions...

Please, please please never listen to the community's opinions they are terrible listen to yourself I'm opening up your eye to lithe here it's your choice how you take it...

Let's look at the recent recommended perks

Iron Will - makes you immersed with noises...

Calm spirit - makes you immersed with certain killers...

Sprint burst ( the most decent one tbh) - get you away from the killer when being immersed...

Like ######### dbd community where have the balls gone on you people can you not chase a kill around anymore, no wonder killer is so easy to play nowadays...

There have fun with my opinions and compare them to yours, hopefully I have at least made lithe somewhat a better exhaustion perk for you, have a good day cuties 😸

immersed is just a weird word to use over and over 😂 survivor perks kinda suck. There are some good synergy builds though. Dance with me, quick and quiet, lithe and lightweight are cool 🤷‍♂️ You can switch lightweight out for spine chill or whatever else you want that you find you need most improvement on.

  • Constantly there’s just too much pressure from things happening too fast on both sides that I don’t think people are happy. I’d love it if the game slowed down a bit. Ebony Mori’s removed from the game. Alternate objectives for survivors such as finding parts to replace on generators to complete Them. If generator regresses a certain amount then the part falls off, survivor simply picks it back up and repairs it again? Idk. Sounds cool. But I shouldn’t spawn in and see teammates going down 15 seconds into the match. I get it, just a bad teammate right? No, the killer spawned on that guy. You can’t always be next to a god-like loop 😂 I mean, killers have so many ways of putting you down quickly and ending chases fast once they find you I just don’t think Ebony Mori’s are necessary. I’ve seen survivor teams work around them without anyone getting Mori’d, but they shouldn’t have to work that hard at being a survivor avoiding a SINGLE hook just because the killer can put an offering on that practically spawns in every single level of the bloodweb tree for killers. That’s unfair.

  • Killers have such an advantage all it takes is a little awareness and a little competence. Get good man. Stuns from missed attacks aren’t even that bad 😂 put on unrelenting then. I do agree on #7 though. We shouldn’t need a vigos shroud to be as far away from killer as possible. Even then it doesn’t feel like enough. Killers can down and kill ppl too easily imo. Teammates get mad at ppl for looting chests or breaking totems when they shouldn’t be. That just tells you the pace of the game is too fast I can’t even do the things that the game puts in there for me? Pssshh.

1.) Head-on delayed effect: The perk itself is great, good for stunning killers while they are in mid-chases or carrying survivors. The problem I have is that when I see a Survivor go into a locker, I know they have head-on 90% of the time. I'll do a fake out to get them out of the locker without getting stunned. They fall for it, I go in for a lunging swing after waiting a second for them to be fully out. And yet I STILL get stunned? That is ridiculous. I can't tell whether it's a latency issue with the server or the perk just has a 2-3 second window of stunning a killer, regardless of the animation.

2.) SWF's can typically be toxic, but not all are bad. Some are potatoes and some provide a challenging match that puts me on the edge of my seat. However the WORST kind of SWF's is the one where there is a Twitch Streamer in the group. They will make sure that they ruin the game for you every chance they get and it just makes playing killer miserable. Couple of matches ago, I went up against such a team who attempted to gen rush me off the bat. All 4 had tool boxes and all 4 started together on a gen. Had I not luckily went to that area first on tour on a medium-sized map (thankfully not Ormond), they would've completed it in under 30 seconds and prob win the game from that. (I still beat them in the end, but the entire match was painful due to their toxic way of aiding each other and taunting me). And that's not including the berating comments in the endgame chat.

3.) How is it that as a killer such as Myers or Ghost Face, you are unable to stalk someone who is hiding in the cornstalks at a certain distance but someone with a flashlight at the same distance can instantly blind you? I understand that those 2 scenarios are completely different. But my point is that the Devs have made it to where the cornstalks act as concealment against killer's powers and chases (up to a certain point) but not give light the same treatment?

4.) I don't know the algorithm of how these maps are selected when the match is preparing to begin on PC. But I've played nonstop everyday for hours at a time and I'm always getting the SAME MAPS. I can't even recall the last time I've played Dead Dawg Saloon, it's been so long. While I was playing on Coldwin Farm (for the 3rd time in the row), an idea popped into my head. Most of the maps I've been playing on constantly are what usually maps that Survivors have the highest % of escaping in. Coldwin Farm, Haddon Field, the map with the barn in it (don't know the name). You have your few that are killer sided like The Game, the Laboratory, and Lery's institute. But those are very uncommon compared to the prior 3. You also have your Preschool, Red Woods, and Nurse's map sometimes but I would argue those are pretty close to survivor sided, depending on the version. If someone who is much smarter and more capable than me could compile some results through their matches and throw up some statistics on map generation for PC, that'd be fantastic. I seriously doubt the Devs play favorites on Survivor/Killer, as much as some people belligerently believe. But it is very odd.

5.) Getting reported constantly due to certain play styles. I main Killer as of right now until I get my Survivor fully maxed out on perks. As a killer, I usually switch it up between Freddy, Nurse, Trapper, Demo, and DeathSlinger. Freddy being my maxed out killer and everyone else having sporadic perks since I leveled them up to get their teachable perks. Obviously with every killer, I have to play a different way with the perks I have. Few games ago, I played Freddy against a pretty potato team. I chased these 3 Survivors who ran into a shack so I began to teleport. Mind you, I was doing a mind game trick because I knew one of them wouldn't go in/hop out. So I see this dude drop a pallet and wait outside. I stop the teleport before it completes and down him. He does a hook suicide on second hook, whatever. Finish the match and move into the results screen.

This same dude I got down, reports me to Steam (not to DBD from the way he described it) and tells me I cheated by "swinging on teleport". I guess he either experienced a severe latency issue or he doesn't know how Freddy's power works. But he is just absolutely ignorant and this isn't the first time people have reported me for essentially beat them in an odd or mind gaming play style.

One more example is that sometimes I like to go on Demo and RP as a monster. I'll get slugging perks and just start hunting. As a monster, Demo doesn't care about hooks, he cares about killing. So I'll just go around and slug any survivors I see. Giving them the chance to escape and get each other back up, whatever. However there have been matches where I've slugged all 4 and they have bled out (usually because they run iron will, crawl away, and then I can't find them) And I've been reported SO many times for "holding the game hostage".

TLDR for 5.): There needs to be a pinned post or something detailed on game rules because no one is on the same page of what is can be reported and what can't be.

6.) Red Rank Survivors and killers will berate you and belittle you if you play anything that makes the game extremely difficult for them. Run a specific Meta perk? You're sweaty and trash. Player a specific killer that they don't know how to defend against? You're trash. Play a killer that has a steep learning curve and the survivors escape? You're a baby killer. Killed someone on their third hook? You somehow camp/tunneled them. Even if they never left the area, or kept running into your sights, it's your fault.

7.) Spawn locations. On PC, I've noticed very frequently that I as a killer am spawning way too close to Survivors. I can look or walk a certain direction and I already see them running to me or across my screen not even 32m away. I've even walked up on them doing a gen that was within my terror radius as soon as the match started. What algorithm would put Survivors right next to me spawning in? That's just unfair for them and shouldn't be a thing.

    TLDR;

1.) Head-on perk has a long window to stun.

2.) Twitch Streamers that play SWF's are very toxic and not fun to play with.

3.) Cornstalks acting as objects for killers powers and sights but not for Survivor's items.

4.) Playing the same maps over and over.

5.) Getting reported for playing the game the way it was supposed to be played.

6.) Red Rank (really all ranks but it's more prevalent in Red) being very rude and toxic, making this game hard to play since they're the face of the community and it's nearly EVERY MATCH. I've played back when you got hate messages through Xbox 360 while playing CoD. But this is ridiculous because it's so consistent.

7.) Spawning too close to killers/survivors.

All of your complaints seem invalid and ridiculous.

i hooked someone as freddy and teleported to the only gen that showed someone with bbq. i downed them and they apparently still had DS.... all momentum was lost because i was TuNneLiNg

I have had countless moments where the ds survivor runs into me in the middle of nowhere, or SWF (cheat with friends) use it offensively to get easy saves.

They need to deactivate this perk when someone else gets hooked. The problem is that survivors are the devs paycheck, so no amount of common sense will make them change it from fear of upsetting the whales.

Still had DS because it’s a one time use with a small skill check. You gotta think it does have its cons too despite the duration of its use. I think it needs every time off the hook though :/

it’s not fair to me I didn’t get to play longer than seeing myself on a hook because I can’t get off it once I go on it. Killers want ez hooks well, I want ez gens then. It’s only fair. Yet speed and perks is all I ever hear complained about. It’s entirely possible to control the map. Just get good lmao stop complaining. This is a killer sided game imo. Just take someone with awareness and map knowledge you’ll be OP in no time. Ebony Mori’s need a rework imo. As do survivor perks to ensure they can still play the game they spent their own quality time queueing up for :) just sayin.

i can't tell if this is serious or sarcasm and both of them scare me...

It’s serious. Unbreakable keeps you from slugging anyways do killers are taking the risk of that guy getting picked up. It shouldn’t be that serious complaining about taking the risk on someone that JUST got off the hook having a 5s stun. It’s stupid. The guy deserves it. He deserves a right to play the damn game too. It grows old and tiresome people complain about it. Or want it reworked. The ONLY rework they need to do to it is make it so EVERY time you get off the hook it activates. Not just once with a tiny skill check. It takes up a perk slot. Why do killers get abilities that constantly reward them with auras of survivors? Ebony Mori’s? Exposed? Ez downs ez hooks but you want to get upset because DS is giving you a 5s Killer stun ? What about the 7 seconds of scratch marks that survivor leaves behind so you can just get back on him again? How was that fair for the survivor? For how easy killers can end chases and get their hooks, this game needs to put in better ways to stun killers and keeping them off their backs. Tunneling is bs. Camping is bs. It needs to be countered in a way where I don’t have to work hard for a tiny stun that barely gives me any wiggle room. I’m done.

  • @Bunnie said:

If a killer is slugging for a 4k and there's two of us and the killer is using you as bait I'll try my hardest to get to you up but I'm no longer going to sacrifice myself to do it. You'll just have to bleed out. Sorry but it's gotten out of hand. It's like every game. The skills of the killers have significantly fallen to ######### (not all) and I won't be practicing altruism as much if they're using you to get to me. At least one of us can win. Shout out to the survivors who refuse to let themselves be used as bait.

I think I see that it’s EZ 4Ks quite frequently people still think this games survivor sided 🤔 all they gotta do is capitalize on survivor mistakes which don’t require much other than spawning in next to the killer. Survivors fault right? Right. Blame it on him for not having a Vigo’s Shroud. Blame it on survivors for poor hit detection that it’s possible to go through vaults, get both feet on the other side, take a few steps and get smacked only to turn around and see the killer behind the vault you went through 🤷‍♂️ Why should the killer need to vault or go around to get that down? He shouldn’t right? Right. Of course not. But Blame your survivors buddies for going down because lag rubberbanded him into his death, blame survivors for going down when there’s an extreme lack of hiding Bc of knee high crates and paper thin walls and trees on some of these maps as well as just blatantly obvious locker locations. I think there should be multiple adjacent hiding spots everywhere.

  • @Salty_Pearl said:

I'm ok with the perk but the only problem I have with it is that it almost forces you to either be slugged or to slug. For Survivors and Killers slugging is really boring and it ruins gameplay. Don't get me wrong, it's a good tactic but doing it against DS is a pain.

How do you feel about DS?

It doesn’t ruin gameplay. Mori’s ruin gameplay. This is a killer sided comment for sure. This is sickening. More often than not I have bad experiences playing solo than you do as killer. Unless swf I can’t get into a game without killers ruining my experience. Ebony moris, hook camping, tunneling. I’d rather not play until I see more perks that will MAKE you stop doing that. No DS doesn’t need to be nerfed. It needs a buff. It’s a small skill check and one time use. It should be every time you get off the hook.

Is this a killer sided comment? I think it needs a buff! It needs to be available every time you get off the hook! The one minute can easily be waited out. it’s an ANTI tunnel perk Though. It does it’s job in letting people play the game. Why do you feel like you deserve that kill? I’m getting sick of people complaining about survivor perks when they help them survive. I think killers get people too easily. It’s kinda unfair if you really think about how easy it is to find people and how easy it can be to down them or catch people off guard.

And still the Ruin-Change did not affect the gameplay that much. Because Ruin is not as needed as it was a few years ago.

    @Topic:

Most Killer complaints are simply not reasonable.

Ruin used to be unbearable. It still is a pain kinda especially if you combine it with surveillance. Dying light. Thanataphobia. There are a lot of regression perks that help you manage gens. Just try to make everyone bleed and you’ll be fine 😂 I don’t find a lot of the killers to be that hard to play. Insta kills, insta downs, insta chase ending abilities, insta ..... well... I think more often than not I’d rather DC if you want to hear what I have to go through as a survivor. These killers are handed literally such a wide variety of powerhouse perks, ad ons and offerings yet they still throw in the occasional “this is just bait” post because a survivor player posts an issue he’s experiencing playing against killers. I think after playing many games, I’d have to say Mori’s aren’t really keeping me playing anymore. I’d much love to give anything up playing survivor if it meant I wasn’t able to be taken out the game before the first gen can pop. I’d rather just uninstall. I think they need to change the requirements on that tbh. All survivors hooked before anyone morid.

  • I just don’t think killers need one hit downs and moris. It’s a short cut to get ez 12 hooks. They want people to play killer, trust me. That’s why they make it so ez. If you’re having trouble, and you’re complaining because survivors are complaining or you feel they’re entitled or get away too much, then that’s because you’re bad! Lmao. I don’t really know how else to put it.

Tired of seeing posts saying killers are cry babies, when in reality killers never get what they ask for, survivors complains are less since they allways go through with fixing survivors complains

I am just waiting for the nerf to noed and moris since that's what survivors been complaining about recently

Stop going against killers complains when you should be seeing it from their side, and trying to support their complains

    rant over

You’re tired of seeing posts saying killers are crybabies? That’s because they don’t need anything else but they keep asking for more. Killers are the ones that ruin experiences on survivor end. Sure gen speed goes a little fast, but game after game I see my teammates get Mori’d 1 minute into the game is deflating and quite frankly I don’t want to keep playing at that point. I don’t care if it’s used to keep up with survivors or whatever. It’s UNFAIR because you’re literally taking someone out of the game and giving them no points for playing. Whereas generators can be regressed. Brand new parts can be wasted or all for naught. A survivor gets Mori’d. You can’t regress that or get that back. Plus that person didn’t really have fun and got next to nothing for points. But oh what killer soaks in 30K? Bs... that’s not fun for that guy. Wasn’t worth his time. I don’t care what they do if they have to make gens take an hour each, but don’t let me come into a game, killer spawns next to me, slams into the ground because I’m out of position, hooks me, “pretends” to go away, hook rescue made, back down I go and get Mori’d. Ummm, no? That’s not gonna fly. A gen hasn’t even been done yet 🤦🏽

  • @LordTohes said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1180706#Comment_1180706

twitch or youtube you can find millions of cases. Even skilled killers like Ralph (the main Anna) often can't kill anyone

I think it goes both ways. Killers have the advantage of making it 4 hooks instead of 12 via Mori. Michael Myers can insta kill on sight. Infinite evil within (exposed). 3 iridescent hatchets (One hit downs) at a time. Camp hooks. So you’re telling me they’re either getting looped or not finding anyone? I think it’s bs. For a game that relies on survivor-killer interactions I’d say the interactions typically don’t last long. Whether it’s lag or hits I don’t think should have registered. Quite frankly I think killers need harsher recovery times from missed attacks and these one hit down things defeat the purpose of the fun of the game which derives from the chases. More often than not I also see red and purple rank survivors (I’m rank 6) and I see them go down with ease. Then I get hate mail from my teammates bc they’re made we got 4Kd. I don’t think it’s survivor sided at all. And if they’re running gens on you that bad, you might need to improve your map control and awareness? Bc killers are op out the wazoo man.

  • huntress running around with iridescent and infantry belt that gives her 3 one hit hatchet downs before restocking. That’s excessive. The fact that killers just mow people down in one hit is excessive. MISSED Melee attacks don’t have Long enough recovery Times imo. If you miss an attack as a killer - especially a one hit down attack. it should be more like nurseS missed phase attack where she slows down temporarily. I think this game is complete nonsense at times due to killer speed and lag and whatever else. I just don’t think you realize that killers can kill just as fast if not faster than gens flying by in the 5 minute timeframe you guys say it does. I’m sorry I don’t want to stare at a progress bar longer . Increasing gen time is going to make me uninstall the game . Simple as that.

  • @AddictedToMosh said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/140145/5-engines-vs-12-hangs

Arguing with survivor mains is useless. I know it for a fact, I used to be one myself. I thought killers were overpowered even though the fault was almost always mine. Then I started playing killer, and realized how unbalanced this game truly is.

Dbd is in a disgusting place as of now. Survivors can end the game in 5 minutes or so. The ONLY thing you will be told is "apply pressure and git gud", a pathetic excuse which seeks to hide the game's flaws.

I disagree. Killers can make it almost impossible to do generators and you especially don’t want to 3 gen yourself. Lucky there’s keys available but those aren’t guaranteed. Most often chases are cut really short because let’s be honest killers really do have the upper hand in mowing people down within 5 minutes too. It really all depends on if someone can run the killer or not. But more often than not nobody does 😂 it shouldn’t be like that, I rarely have fun on chases because laggy hits ruin the game, or hits they don’t deserve where I’m clearly through a vault and they still hit me. Nah... bs! How is that fun for survivors? Please tell me and show me an example where killers aren’t getting 3-4K consistently? You whine because you might be learning still. That’s okay.

  • @LordTohes said:

If we consider that each survivor needs 3 hangs to die (12 in total) and the survivors only need to make 5 engines, isn't the game a bit unfair? not to mention how easy and fast it is to repair an engine (in less than 4 minutes all 5 engines can be completed) they would not have to do more engines to be able to escape?. Not to mention that there are 4 people who only need to do 5 engines, against a single person who needs to do 12 hangs ... am I the only one (not main survivor) who thinks it is very unfair?

    https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/744/8939AOM5FA61.jpg

I disagree. You’re very wrong in the sense that someone hanging pulls survivors off to rescue and heal allowing killers to get easy trade offs. It’s actually unfair on survivor side. Gens take a lot longer than you think especially when combined with thanat, dying light, ruin. As Long as killers patrol gens it’s actually not very fun for survivors if one of them can’t run the killer around for more than 5 seconds. This is why you probably think it’s unfair for 12 hooks. A lot of the time 12 hooks doesn’t seem like a lot. Killers have ebony Mori’s that short survivors of 8 of the hooks anyways. It’s super killer sided atm. Unless you get those sweaty SWFs but even then that’s only a contender. Solo doesn’t really have a solid consistent chance. I see teammates go down before a gen even pops. It’s deflating

  • after my own experience with both sides I really have a hard time believing this game isn’t killer sided. Some just abuse their right to bait people on hooks and just tunnel the next survivor, some just don’t really give you a chase that seemed fair on your end. Lack of pallets and poor map design can make it really hard to play survivor. Also, from a solo standpoint, Certain killers have a lot that’s it’s quite deflating just continuing to play 🤷‍♂️ I’ve never seen DC rates so high on survivor side. Yeah SWF teams can get kinda sweaty but solo experience is the worst. Killers just run on my teammates constantly. That’s not balance especially if these devs keep hitting gen speed it might lead to an uninstall. They give killers A LOT more than they need 🤷‍♂️ I’ll stand by that until I see Change.

  • No it’s not anti NOED bait . I think people don’t mention survivor issues often in this forum . Lag has a lot to do with it when you’re playing a game where despite the amount of chances this game gives survivors it still doesn’t feel like enough 😰

  • She looks like one. I think Nancy wheelers cosmetics are old lady style for sure. Tell me that curly hair bush on her head doesn’t make her look like a grandma lmao

  • @ProfoundEnding said:

We have Plague, Huntress, Oni, Deathslinger, and the Hag I know are from many many years ago (I'm sure there's more I'm missing), as the Entity can take anyone from any time period.

I find it odd that we don't have some survivors that are from the 1800s or before. I'm all for diversity in this game and I really want a unique cast of characters on both sides. What do you think?

(BTW I still want my old lady survivor!)

Laurie strode - shes an old lady

  • still, That’s really quite game changing. Especially for a game that’s still popular by 2020 we gotta have this figured out by now 😂 the fact that we can’t get dedicated servers on Xbox and every other game is a complete lag fest. 🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️🤨

  • @NoShinyPony said:

Noed often causes a lag, like other insta-down effects, or Sloppy Butcher (Mangled status) or Franklin's (lose item) - there are so many perk effects that cause lags.

And yes, this lag can kill you on the hook while struggling.

It's not a Noed glitch, it's the usual lag problem which has been in the game for years.

Right, I meant NOED lag spike, not glitch.

  • Lag and glitches affect survivor experience way more than killer. Killers recover from missed attacks way too easy. Unless you’re deathslinger and you took a shot at somebody and missed 🤷‍♂️ Or you’re nurse and tried to use your ability at that exact moment and missed.

  • @Kwikwitted said:

Um, how is NOED responsible for this exactly?

NOED has no capacity to insta-kill anyone, in any circumstance, it doesn't have Mori capability.

As far as people dying on second hook as a glitch, that may be something for the devs to look into. Haven't seen it personally, but glitches aren't exactly foreign to this game.

Kwikwitted you’re coming off as rather aggressive in the nature of your post. I’m simply stating what happened and it seemed a little odd that as soon as NOED activated I was insta killed during 2nd stage. I hadn’t been lagging the whole game so it was oddly suspicious and easy to blame NOED. Look, My point is that struggle phases have not allowed me to actually struggle quite often. Whether it’s lag, the exact moments where hex totems were enabled, whatever. I am simply saying that the button mashing should be changed to pushing it once or holding it down. I’d much rather do that. It just has way more of a downside to it than an upside. I Can understand making you work harder to stay live being caught twice and all but I don’t think breaking your A button or space bar is the answer.

  • Really? That kinda sucks. I was in the situation where a teammate went down while I was struggling. A 3rd teammate came to rescue me and was only a few feet away when I got insta killed on hook because the teammate went down and activated NOED. I was kind of upset because we put up a fight and I felt I was so close to escaping the exit gate was just right behind me 😭😭😭

    Three words. “YOU’RE WRONG”

  • High mobility killers are a bit too much. Especially once one of your aura reading perks trigger or loud noise notification. Billy or spirit will show up before you can even leave the area and hide 😂

Only healthy survivors can repair gens. Not sure how this would play out but thought it was an idea of sorts.

Let me know what you guys think. I'm sure the Plague would need to be looked at, but it would force survivors to cleanse.

Gen speed is just fine in my opinion. There’s already a perk that makes it more difficult to repair gens the more survivors that are injured or hooked or dying. It’s called thanataphobia. Use it. Or dying light. Use it. As a killer you gain these benefits from doing your job as a killer. Now you’re just being lazy and want stuff handed to you when they’re already handing these killers plenty! I struggle playing solo most of the time seeing red and purple rank survivors get slammed into the ground and hooked before gens start flying. and gens don’t go fast by yourself. Thanat makes solo gen repairs unbearable. Combined with dying light.... ruin... come on.... you have to think about survivors and what they want too. I don’t want to stare at a progress bar all game long either. They should slow the rate at which you can down and hook somebody then and maybe we can talk about gen speed. It’s not fair to see half my team go down either before the first gen pops. Goes both ways.

Actually I've read it since luckily, there was no one to read it out out otherwise my ears would start bleeding. You've stated that DS skillcheck is hard and Doc makes it much harder. I've told you to gid gud which you obviously don't plan on doing since you're here whining insted of doing skill checks simulators.

DS skillcheck isn't hard and if you miss it you deserve to not get the reward of your low risk high reward perk. God forbid that killer that is designed to make skillchecks harder makes hitting skillchecks actually harder, who would have though, better nerf him just in case.

I am not saying DS skill check is too hard to hit, I’m saying it’s too hard for it’s one time use ability. I think it should be guaranteed. It takes up a perk slot and it’s a one time use. That would be the game telling you as a killer to go find somebody else. That’s what you should be doing 😂

*by the way - I didn’t mean for this to be an argument. I’m simply pointing it out that I don’t think that’s necessary for doctor to tamper with DS skill checks. DS is a one time use separate skill check just like Brand New Parts.

  • then there’s NOED. The list goes on and on. Do I really have to list off the 100 million reasons why killer players don’t need to be complaining? Pssshh... I was talking about a tiny one time use skill check . It should be guaranteed. You shouldn’t be tunneling . End of story.

Would this be large enough for you to hit or would you still miss ?

It’s sad that killer players ask for constant buffs but don’t want to get good either. They’re given so many short cuts such as ebony Mori’s and almost literally every ability known to man and still complain about can’t kill people Bc of gen speed. Always gen speed. Gen speed has to be fast Bc you can kill ppl so fast. Keys still require survivors to do all gens. Mori’s are crutches. All of your abilities are crutches 😂 I think killer players whine more than anything

You’re funny lmao did you even listen to what I said? It’s the DS skill checks that I said are small. but YOU also missed the fact that I said against DOCTOR

  • @myersismydaddy said:

Doctor adds another layer of difficulty when it comes to skillchecks, nothing wrong with that.

The skill check for DS is not difficult at all. You should have seen it back in its old form. And I personally think that it should be reworked back to that level of difficulty. So only the really skilled people can actually hit it.

I disagree because it’s only a one time use anyways. I personally think it should be usable every time you get off the hook because it’s job is to prevent tunneling 🤷‍♂️ That’s what it should do, allow me to keep playing the game when clearly you’re not doing your job as a killer to find other people. That’s the point. It’s 5 gens vs 12 hooks but you just want easy hooks. Nah. Nobody likes to get off the hook and just go right back on it. that person should be able to heal and get back in the game. Using perks like dying light or thanataphobia can do a good job of keeping them all distracted anyways. There’s plenty of ways to encourage you to go for other people so that’s why I believe killers need to be penalized for going after the same guy OVER and OVER and OVER if the survivor brings in a perk to defend himself. Why should killers get ez downs and ez hooks. Just go Chase somebody else? Ya know? The game rewards you for that. So I think DS should be active every time you get off the hook, not just once.

  • Yeah you can reverse skill check the DS with doc 😂 I’m sitting there expecting it to go one way and not only did it go backwards it was in a completely different area on my screen and the circle was shaking like it does for normal skill checks. That might be excessive 😂😂😂😂

  • It’s incredibly frustrating as survivor almost every match. Someone has to go down eventually. Nobody’s running the killer around for all 5 gens without a down and hook. So why is it that guy never gets off the hook? So what you found me? 🤷‍♂️ Big deal. Why make it so punishing though to play the game as survivor? I agree. Harsher penalties for hook camping or tunneling needs to be in place. It’s a cheap way to get Mori’s and A Free hook running somebody through sacrificial stages. Then killers just rub it in your face at the end of the match with these “gg ez” messages as if these mf are entitled to their 4Ks lol and I have red/purple rank survivors on my team. Here’s the killer sitting at green rank with 2 perks equipped and he don’t even need the other two apparently. And here people complain about gen speed nahhhhh. I’d rather do anything else than stare at a progress bar longer on a generator and a teammate bleeding out faster on the hook. That’s killer having the advantage.

  • It almost renders DS unusable 😂

  • I’m being honest Not trying to bait anyone. But I don’t think it’s going to solve the problem. However I’m sure they’ll keep nerfing gen speed somehow. They’ve already hit toolboxes. But I just don’t really see myself playing anymore if that’s the case. It’d be different if I could instead find parts for the generator and then stare at a progress bar. But to simply make me stand in one spot longer where killers are obviously going to come protect then it kinda brings the game to a stalemate doesn’t it? Idk. Regardless it should only affect team repair. I don’t think solo repair is all that bad. Killers can patrol gens pretty swiftly. They have moris. Somebody’s gonna get caught 😂 I mean don’t tell me they’re repairing 5 gens without you knowing where the hell anyone is. I can’t do this 😂😂😂

  • I just think it’s not fair to play survivor if they make gen speed slower and slower. As a solo repair I’m just not going to want to sit there and stare at a progress bar and see my team get knocked down before I can even finish it. Combine a gen speed nerf with thanataphobia, dying light and ruin, I think I’d rather play another game that’s going to value my time more than that. It just burns my eyes and numbs my mind doing gens. I think I’m losing brain cells Doing it the more I think about it.

Just go take a look at the Facebook Post made by the Dead by Daylight page. All you will see is entitled survivor mains blaming Killers for ruining their 1.5x BP experience. At least 90% of the comments will be extremely biased meanwhile this issue is happening both sides.

Played 4 games today just messing around with BP Perks and Addons and still survivors are rushing gens in less than 4 mins with strong toolboxes and meta perks. The hypocrisy is insane and when you even try to have a civilised debate with these people calling them out on their hypocrisy you just get attacked for it.

Survivor Mains you honestly need to be extremely careful i have said this so many times. If you keep treating Killer mains as absolute garbage you will have no game i am sorry to say or your queue times (which people already complain about) will be much much longer.

Please ask yourself why would anyone want to play a role where no matter what they do you will just abuse and harass them? They are individuals just like you and you are not nor will you ever be above them especially when you resort to petty insults or abuse. You don't know anything on their life outside of this game so please just think about the way you are treating people.

If you ever go against a Killer that brings in full tryhard + Mori etc just think why? Maybe they have played so many games that they just want to dominate for once but no you just see them as a sweaty tryhard who are ruining the game. No they are not they just want to attempt to have fun.

Guys there are bigger things happening the world right now that we should all know about. Let's get off our ego stool and start treating people how you would want to be treated, we should all know this from school years. If you play fair then others will to.

I disagree with you. Good killers don’t need Mori’s. I’ve seen entitled killer mains too. It goes both ways. Optimal gen speed can Go about as fast as survivors can be downed hooked and Mori’d I think it’s fair. How is it you feel gen speed should be slowed down when you only have to hook and Mori someone you found almost instantly at the start of the match? What fun did that player have? None. Why should it take more time of staring at a progress bar for you repairing a gen? Who wants to do that? That’s not fun either. Repairing gens for you to kill me can be more like a chore.

  • Hey I believe as long as I see my team doing gens while I’m sitting there on a hook the whole game I’m okay with it. It’s kinda like a POP (gen) “look whos laughing now” - I say to the killer as I’m in struggle phase. POP (gen) POP(another gen) POP (another gen). “You better go do something about that ‘killer’!” - i say as the darkness surrounds me reaching the end of struggle phase. POP (gen) BEEP (gates powered) “uh oh, you’re in trouble they’re getting away, You gonna do something about that? Oh no? Okay...”

my team gets out unscathed. Cool.

If your survivor queue times are 1 hour long than nerfing more killers is not the smart move to make.

Both killers are balanced around their one shot potential, and aren't op. Myers in particular has to waste time stalking survivors, during which survivors can do gens.

No I think more killers tend to get on during certain time periods of every day. Most often it’s between like midnight and 4/5 in the morning is the heaviest increase in killers because I’ve noticed I start landing in lobby’s by myself with them as soon as I queue up it just instantly connects. Makes sense They like to kill when everyone’s asleep 😰 When they know people most vulnerable 😈

ok lets look at the 2

    Mori (specifically an ebony)

    1. require one hook, which can cost a gen or 2 if you're not really good
    2. you must find and down the person again

by this time, well over 3 gens have probably been completed, even if you tunneled off first hook (which makes the others most likely unable to be moried)

Key (specifically a dull or skeleton)

    1. requires you to hold m1/r1/whatever for 80 seconds normally, but is prob faster thanks to toolboxes, co-op interactions, and perks a total of 5 times among 4 of you (not even because if one dies it takes one less)
    2. get lucky and find hatch

so you need to complete one of the easiest actions in the game and get lucky. the killer has to find, down, and hook somebody, which can certainly be difficult if they're good at looping or abuse an infinite, basically twice.

    some additional notes

    1. a key lets EVERYONE escape from what one person brought even if they didn't do anything, while a mori requires the process for every survivor
    2. keys can just be found in chests, resulting in the killer having no idea if a key is in play or not, while moris are pretty obvious on the offering screen and can't be found mid-game
    3. keys are instant, moris spend precious time
    4. even if the killer closes hatch after a key, all remaining gens are auto completed
    5. the survivors know where the killer is during the mori thanks to the downed survivors aura. killers just get told "hatch opened, someone left" with no indication where
    6. keys can negate the killer shutting hatch, meaning that after the killer closes hatch, you can still use hatch.

so yeah, keys are pretty powerful, and need a look at along with moris.

A key doesn’t let everyone escape without doing the work first. So you’re wrong 😂 doing all gens allows you to get all 4 through hatch. If you want to avoid doing 1 of 3 gens that are probably getting patrolled to the point you can’t do them then at least one person has to die lol so really key is For end game. Ebony Mori’s aren’t end game. That’s An early game KO and Most likely that player didn’t get much play time. It’s just not that serious . I’ve seen people do map control without Mori just fine. So imo it’s not necessary. It’s for lazy killers 😂 🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️ Or people that haven’t quite gotten good like they want survivors to be.

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/139635/why-i-camp-tunnel-and-run-noed

Dont feel bad for the way you play all strat are good use any perk, any addon, any offering to your advantage ignore the survivor rule book and play how you really want to play

there shouldn’t even be a survivor rule book. The “rules” contained within this rule book should just become part of the game in the form of discouragement for these killers to camp and tunnel. Or a buff for the survivors to stave off the killer for a penalizing amount of time for doing so. I don’t believe DS is long enough. You have to understand it’s not fun to come in and just die for you anyways. Why should anyone do that if the odds are once you get hooked or caught you won’t be able to play the game after that? Why should I continue playing? Why shouldn’t I be mad at that? These are things that should be addressed/countered hard through survivor perks or items. Neither of which are really effective enough in my opinion. If it’s a one time use DS then I want more than 5 seconds because you actually lose a second dropping back to the ground so 4 seconds. Well, track marks last 7. So he’s right back on you again. Then you got Mori’s. I understand people think they need them to keep up, but that’s not true. Why should killers be given short cuts because they aren’t controlling the map like they should?ive seen it done hooking everyone without camping (12 hooks) So why are they in the game if it’s possible? They tell survivors to get good, but the way killer players come on here and complain and whine, it sounds like you need to get good 😂 they hand killers so many crutches.

Every time I play this game, I get burnt out and frustrated and stop playing for several months...the reason? Matchmaking, or lack of anything of substance to it. Yeah, you've made claims that fixes are in the works...but I have so little faith that anything is going to come of it. Last I saw it was simply going to hide Ranks from the end of the match screen amd attempt to have a performance base on how Ranking up would be....

Time and time however, since playing this game, the matchmaking has gotten worse with patches & being tinkered with. Every time I leave the game and come back, I'm deranked pretty heavily and yet at Grey & Yellow Ranks...I often get paired with what Id face at Green Ranks.... Once I hit Green...its almost majority of the time Red Ranks with occasional Purple & Green Ranked, sprinkled in. Once in a blue moon I get Grey Ranks...at Green.

Y'all really need to seriously make any future working on MM to actually have a positive impact..... :/

I think swf is the only way to play. I’m assuming that’s what that is. Killers are too OP to play solo I see teammates get ran on all the time playing survivor 🤷‍♂️

  • @Nikkiwhat said:

I just kinda give up on the Survivor side of this game's playerbase....just consistently garbage....

Had a wonderful match where all 3 seemingly SWF teammates just ran from Gen to Gen all together and made zero attempt to get me off the Hook.

Had another where a Survivor prioritized breaking a totem instead of healing me... and another in a semi joke/farm game where the Killer was messing around....2 others left immediately, zero attempts to unhook. The list goes on and it only gets worse as time goes on. If it wasn't for Survivor Challenges from the Rodt, I'd never play Survivor ever again...

For all the good matches & fun I have, 1 or 2 bad games just undos any fun previously had and it just sours this game experience.

    https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/753/24N5PI3SSICX.png

It’s not really fun regardless. They need to help survivors out a little. Show them some love. It’s always Killer this and killer that. Constantly as a solo survivor I just see teammates get ran on too fast. I think it’s too easy for killer to do his job because it’s too easy to find people. There’s just not enough hiding sometimes map design seems kinda bad in terms of being able to hide efficiently. Knee high crates/debris. Bushes where my head still pops out. Walls with a vault or pallet that the killer can just walk around. Even when you’re not getting chased generators are just a progress bar you just sit there and stare at 😒 and these killers want longer repair times? 😂 hell no. I won’t do it. One less customer I’ll be calling my bank for a dispute on charges. Thank you.

  • @Dahliasdollie said:

As stated, a lot of people including the devs stated that the goal is 2 kills and 2 escapes. But according to the emblem system, 2 kills does not equal a pip. Its either a depip or a black pip. And also how come the emblem system is so biased? For survivors, you don't even need to escape, just do the generators and basically "chase the killer". You will pip, but for killers i can kill everyone really fast and still depip. So what exactly is the objective for killer? Is it to be looped like a dummy and then kill? Or should i just open the gates for the survivors? Because the only way im pipping is if the survivors mess around and not do generators

Surviving is part of having fun. I don’t think this game gives survivors a good enough opportunity of playing the game when they can spawn in and get downed hooked and Mori’d for getting caught out of position once. Or that they give SOME killers a lot of speed when they got these insane melee lunges. Not everyone can loop the killer for 10 minutes like everyone would like to, but that doesn’t mean survivors Should deserve to lose. I don’t find staring at progress bars repairing fun either, but for some reason killer players want gens slower. I think they’re too slow as is. Unless you work together like you’re supposed to. But you’re not getting that playing solo ever. So it’s practically unplayable from a solo standpoint. I’m sorry but I don’t want to come in and die for you every game. Killers just want more and more that’s all I see. They have so much already

  • @Mister_xD said:

i will make it as short as possible:

all of your above mentioned problems can be solved by you getting better at the game.

you will have to put some time into it, but once you understand how maps are structured, how the different tiles work, how far a killer can attack you from, how different killer powers work, how you properly loop, etc. this game will become infinitely more easy for you.

also, maps are generated randomly. you cant memorize all locations of all pallets, windows, totems, gens, etc, as they will be different every time you play on it. the layout of the tiles however does not change. a L T wall will always look the same, the question is just where it spawns.

now, i'd like to say something regarding your idea:

    adding weaponry to survivors.

DbD, as a game, is not build around survivors fighting back to the killer. its not ment to be played like that, you eigther avoid the killer or you die - you have no chance of standing up to them.

if your idea would just get implemented in DbDs current state, it would literally break the game. Survivors would become untouchable for killers and i can imagine a major part of the killer community quitting this game for good. DbD would turn into a bully simulator - dont believe me? go look at some footage from "Friday the 13th the game", this game had exactly that - but it was also centered around that mechanic. if in F13 the killer cought a survivor, they were dead. there was nothingn the could do, once their weapons were used up the killer instantly executed them on the spot. DbD doesnt have that, in DbD the killer places you on a meathook with different sacrificial stages. this gives survivors a total of 3 lives.

now imagine a DbD killer going through all the struggle Jason has to go through just to down one person and then not even being able to kill them, just hook them and take down one of three lives they have. that would be very unsatisfying for the killer and very very VERY much broken for the survivors, as it would stall the killer by so much longer - and give the game a 1v1 potential, which shouldnt exist in a 4v1 game.

cause what are the other 3 survivors gonna do while that one dude stalls the killer? gens. with your idea of fighting back, a single down could easily mean all 5 gens popping and the game ending with a 0k for the killer - majority of the time.

killers in this game already struggle against good survivors, giving them even more chances to fight back would require you to give killers massive buffs - and probaply kill the game in the process, just like F13 died.

    TL;DR:

if you want to be able to fight back against the killer, play a different game - such as Friday the 13th: The Game. DbD was not designed to give Survivors the ability to fight back, you are ment to avoid the killer and not 1v1 them.

you gotta understand that the killer is also a player that wants to have fun and not a bot you can bully all you want without any reaction from their side whatsoever. making the game miserable for them is gonna drive them away from it, killing DbD.

and most importantly: please - and im saying this nicely now. there will be people however that are not gonna be as nice as me - dont talk about balancing of this game when you are clearly lacking the experience to understand the most basic mechanics. survivors have all the tools they need to win a game against the killer, if you cant use them that doesnt mean survivors gotta be buffed, but rather that you need to learn how to use them efficiently.

instead you could ask others for advise.

also, there are a lot of great guides out there on how to efficiently play both roles - if you want to you can give them a read.

I disagree. I have experience on both sides too prestige 3 lvl 50 character and the rest are lvl 40. Killer is lvl 50 haven’t prestiged, I main Plague. I Also see red and purple survivors in my games while I’m at rank 10 killer. But I can tell you I 3-4K almost every game. Like 4 out of every 5 games. I think this game relies too much on someone running the killer because it’s TOO easy to be found. So I can understand why people get frustrated. Getting good shouldn’t mean one person running the killer for 10 minutes. Because killers are actually getting better at cutting chases too short. One hit downs, iridescent head for huntress, speed of some of the killers, lunge attacks hitting you through vaults that seem a bit unfair, lagginess affecting survivors quite often (every hit matters for survivors a lot more than killers Bc killers recover so fast). I just think you spend all this time loading and queuing up for a game that seems short lived as a survivor most of the time. You wonder why people DC often playing survivor because you’re not giving them a fun time once they easily get caught feeling like they don’t get another chance. Hooks get camped, unhooked survivors get tunneled and slugged until DS wears off, unbreakable makes up for it but most likely killers just always chase you down again. I’m sorry but the game needs to give survivors more than just a progress bar to stare at until they get transferred to a hooked survivor to stare at the entire game. I enjoy the thrill of the chase but killers are given too much to cut chases short. What is supposed to be 12 hooks a game in most cases turns out to be 4-8. That’s way easier to do than 5 long generators. Especially after the toolbox nerf + thanatophobia + ruin + dying light. It’s just not very probably most of the time you’re going to survive. Which is okay to the extent you’re making the game worth it to people that play. Killers are given too much to prevent people from playing making it not worth it. Swf might be the only chance at consistent survival. But it’s honestly too easy for killer once you get some map knowledge and strategy. I just think survivors should have a better chance at survival than they have now.
