depends on what killer you meet in real life. Some are lumbering and might be surprised you've disappeared from their lines of sight for a moment, resulting in a miss. Others, you 100% shouldn't be able to 360 (e.g. Tier III Myers. Spinning him just makes everything so much less scary).

You have killers that have no anti loop so when you get the advantage on them chasing them out in the open why are they even able to run circles around you? You’re the killer. He’s not supposed to miss. Idk I usually get the hits off but it just bothered me today in most of my games there has been one or two guys that just are too good at it. Killers don’t have time for that kinda stuff. Tbh if you’re caught in the open with no pallet or anything the game shouldn’t allow you to just spin around 100mph. You deserve to go down or take a hit. Just my opinion.

  • I know this has been a thing for awhile now. I’m not new to this. But it’s something that i think would make it more enjoyable playing killer to lower that sensitivity a little on the survivors. Your time is valuable as killer. You shouldn’t have to put up with that.

  • Also, the hitboxes are currently messed up. I wish there was somewhere I can send video clips of getting hit through windows and pallets when I know for a fact I shouldn’t have. They need to fix the killer hits. It’s kind of unfair at the moment.

  • what is winning really? 4K? Losing is anything less than that? I find it ridiculously easy to play as killer in this game. Tbh I’m fine with

2-3K a game. But this game is too easy for killers tbh. Devs have done nothing but pamper baby killers by keeping Mori’s in the game 😂

  • I’ve cut right or left on huntress so many times and have seen a hatchet flying into my screen still hitting me. I’ve been all the way through vaults and still getting hit on the other side of them. Getting hit through pallets is old news. That’s something they neglect to fix.

  • Hitboxes have been broken in favor of killers where have you been

This pretty much tells me you don't play killer, or don't play at ranks above yellow, as you have literally no idea about anything you just said. 99ing is a no risk strategy for the survivor, you're literally better off with a 99 gate because the end game timer isn't running.

Yeah but you can’t put 99ing gates in the same category as say, a generator which is capable of regressing on their own without the killer interacting with them. Generators are objectives and should be able to regress, gates are not objectives and shouldn’t. End of story. They are two completely different things. Survivors should have control over whether or not they are permitted to leave at the push of a button because they have earned it. They did their objective already. Yours was to kill them which you failed to do. End game is a 2nd chance for killers. Smh 🤦🏽

  • Getting tired of killers being rewarded for abusing their right to camp hooks. You’re over here worried about 99’ing things that YOU are supposed to keep them off of in the first place. However, if they were to make it regress I think the killer should have to interact with it first to start the regression! Just like a generator. But to regress on its own.... no. Absolutely not.

  • @SweetTerror said:

BHVR agreed that it wasn't fair to do that for generators, and it wasn't fair to do it for hooks either, so then why the exit gate?

Being able to take as much time as you want to go back and get a survivor (or whatever else you may deem necessary), seems to defeat the purpose of the endgame challenge if survivors can 99 the gate doesn't it? At the very least I think the exit gate should start regressing if you choose not to open it.

Why would it not be fair if they put in the time to get it to 99 that it should stay there? You forget as a killer the time you spend doing things matters as well. So what the game is supposed to constantly be there to hold your hand and support you in other areas of the map while you camp hooks or dilly dally around

  • people are going to find a way to DC any way that they can. So seriously, quit complaining about it. To be honest the struggle phase needs to be adjusted to Skill Checks anyways. Because it’s not always the survivors fault.

For the window hitboxes, while I agree netcode is messed up and I've done and been given hits that shouldn't have hit, I can confirm being hit on the other side of window is actually intended. A window acts similar to a haddonfield fence where the killer can hit you on the other side of it.

Yeah but I think the range is just excessive. I can see if the killer is standing right next to the window he is granted a hit through it on anyone that runs by or is exactly on the other side. But to lunge at the window and get a hit I don’t think so. The range should be shorter than being exactly next to it. But... that’s just my opinion.

also, while playing as killer the survivor movement is ridiculous. 180/360s shouldn’t be a thing. You’re the killer. That’s not going to happen in real life nor is it really a thing in any video game I’ve ever seen before. Nobody is 360ing Jason in Friday 13th.

  • I only said as a survivor because it’s the topic of the post. He’s talking about teammates hook suiciding. What do you mean key words? I’ve seen Killers quit too. It’s a problem on both sides people giving up. But more often on the survivor side. You can’t blame them. Survivor side might be more laid back, but it’s not enjoyable. You hold one button down on a generator and the killer gets ez hits on you with little penalty for missing. It barely slows him down. Vault hitboxes are very bad. I’ve never seen so many killers swinging wildly at windows THAT confident they will hit you.

The title. As a player who plays 70% survivor and 30% killer, it's really annoying when an entitled survivor kills himself on hook the moment he gets outplayed by the killer in first 40 seconds. This is basically a death sentence for a survivor team and an easy game for the killer. Obviously the ranking doesn't matter because it doesn't have any inherent value and it is not hard to get back to a higher rank because the game rewards even the mediocre players for their poor performance. I am really not sure what devs could do to prevent this because at the moment, every second game has this one guy who just straight up kills himself and the game quality suffers dramatically from that.

as a survivor you can still just leave the game as well. People aren’t bound to a game you know. People have real life stuff going on that have influence over peoples decision to stay or leave.

We also need a punishment for killers who camp hooks. I’m sorry but this game isn’t fun for survivors that get hooked once and can’t ever get back into the game. Such a one sided comment 🤦🏽

Punishing the killer due to proximity to the hook was tried and objectively proven to be a failure. No amount of "ifs" can change that.

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1501676#Comment_1501676

Survivors are the ones losing, though, because they feed the campers. The worst feeling is being camped with Kindred and having your teammates rush the hook anyway. Campers cannot get more points than non-campers unless survivors feed, it's mathematically impossible.

Yeah but survivors that get camped on and poorly rescued shouldn’t depip for that.

  • Get those loser campers out of the game. There’s no worse feeling as a killer that actually gives it his or her best effort to kill something in the game only to get out scored by a camper. There should be zero reward for that. You can certainly camp all you want. By all means go ahead. But it shouldn’t punish the survivor. I think that guy should at least black pip.

  • It’s a simple If then code with a else if code attached to it 🤦🏽 Just put it in there.

discourage that kind of behavior. Remember your game isn’t all that complicated of a procedure for both sides. so at least make it fun for everyone. That is the point of playing it, aside from the competitive nature of it.

  • @Orion said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1501579#Comment_1501579

Because survivors can force the killer to defend the hook. Seriously, just look up what happened during the very first PTB, which is when the punishment for camping was tried and objectively proven to be a failure.

Camping is a survivor-side problem and has a survivor-side solution, but survivors are unwilling to bite the bullet.

for one I don’t know where to /could not find by googling, a video that proclaims any kind of camping penalty implemented for killers.

even if one were to be installed it can’t be the survivors abusing it if it was the right kind of penalty. That doesn’t make any sense. It’s a simple as - if the killer is within the radius of the hooked survivor for X amount of time, the killer receives the penalty UNLESS there is another survivor within the same radius. There. Done.

How does that get abused by survivors when it’s the killer that does the camping?

  • @Azarath said:

Title says it all. Why is it allowed? Why is it even a strategy? (albeit not a good one). If the killer hooks you and proceeds to just stand there waiting for all eternity until you die, you're both just stuck there not playing the game at all. Sure the survivors can just rush the gens and get a free escape, but I really doubt the guy on the hook and the killer are both having fun with this play style. People bought the game to play an actual game and not sit there looking at their phones for 2 minutes

Edit: This post is calling out EARLY GAME CAMPING, not late game. It's understandable to everyone that the killer too needs his kills and punishes those that try to be brave and rescue. The hooked survivor earned their points, the killer has earned his points, everyone walks away with something gained. But when the killer hooks you early game and just sit there, it's a guaranteed depip. No chances to get chased, no chances to get creative, nothing.

I think the killer should just get disconnected or penalized for face camping. Timer counts down once the survivor has been hooked, killer needs to leave the radius of the hooked survivor ( unless another survivor is within the radius as well ) within a set amount of time otherwise the killer receives a penalty of some kind

  • @Mikeasaurus said:

Honestly, if it's good for one side, it's good for the other. Why should Killers be exclusivly locked to matchmaking with no ability to change, but survivors can insta-switch at the last second to bring in a key or meta build?

Why should killers be allowed to see the survivors? It makes sense why survivors shouldn’t be able to see the killer. Because that’s the fun part about spawning in each game is that you don’t know. But why do killers get to see the survivors? You should just feel fortunate you get to see what they’re bringing in and be able to change to Franklins or Mori or keep your current load out. That part is unfair to the survivors already.

  • Survivors 360ing you is quite ridiculous. I’m sorry but I don’t feel like breaking my analog stick trying to hit a survivor. The ebony Mori’s and keys I would be perfectly okay with eliminating both entirely.

  • @Reinami said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/176942/so-devs-can-you-rework-moris

I agree, fix both moris and keys, neither have good counters. Both of them have a few problems

    Problems with keys:

    • Survivors can get one through RNG, which is completely unpredictable, and the killer can't possibly patrol the chests too. It's unfair because it is entirely RNG based, you might be dominating a whole game and then the survivors just get a key and now your win is barely a draw.
    • One key can allow multiple people to escape, especially when down to the last 2.
    • Even if you know they are bringing a key, it's hard to prepare for them, when survivors typically can finish 2-3 gens in the first couple of minutes, it is very difficult to deal with a key, especially in a SWF scenario.

    Problems with moris:

    • Shortens the time to kill way too much, killers can just tunnel someone straight off the hook for a mori, can't even use DS to get out of it.
    • Removing even 1 survivor from the game early generally means a loss for the whole team.
    • There is no realistic way for survivors to counter a mori. They can't predict them before the match to prepare in some way, and the only way to not get mori'd is to "play better"

    How to fix keys:

    • Make it so keys are no longer able to be found in the trial
    • Make it so when a key is used on the hatch it only allows 1 survivor through, and the hatch is put on cooldown and will not open for 60 seconds.
    • Make it so the key has a short charge/animation for opening the hatch (something small, like 5 seconds)
    • Make it so if a survivor is sacrificed (specifically sacrificed, so moris don't count) while holding a key, the key is removed from the trial
    • Make it so if a survivor uses a key they get more bloodpoints when escaping through the hatch. (max out survival, give em 8k)

    How to fix moris:

    • Make the yellow mori basekit, because its fun why not? You already killed everyone anyway, outside of having DS as the last survivor which is pretty rare it shouldn't be a problem.
    • Make green and ebony moris now work on a token system. Every time a survivor is hooked, gain 1 token. Everytime a generator is completed, lose 1 token. When you are at 3 tokens, you can mori a survivor you down.
    • Green mori allows 1 kill
    • Ebony mori allows 2 kills, but survivors only have to repair 4 generators to escape. The generator that is furthest away from the killer is automatically completed when the trial starts.
    • When a killer mori's someone, they should get significantly more bloodpoints (think like pyramid head where you get like 1000)

This means that keys can now be countered in the game, by focusing on the person with the key. It also leads to some moments where a survivor with a key who is on death hook, might give their key to someone else so that they can still keep the key in the trial. It also means that keys can no longer randomly be found in chests to give survivors a free win they don't deserve.

This gives moris a counter so that survivors now have a way to prevent a mori from occurring by powering through a generator together, it also makes ebony mori much less powerful by only allowing 2 kills and giving survivors a head start on the match to compensate for the fact that the killer gets to shorten their kills. It also gives both sides a fun way for the match to end by making yellow basekit so that it's not always the same. Many killers who don't like using moris will now get to actually see the animation play out sometimes.

Nah I think green Mori - being able to kill one survivor by your own hand is perfectly fine to equal a key. Ebony is kind of excessive. There is already enough of the kill all survivors by your own hand built into perks and abilities. Survivors need a movement nerf. That’s one thing they do need. As far as moris. Just remove the ebony. The key isn’t even as big of deal because most of the time you don’t even get to use it. Ebony Mori’s get used every time you bring one. It’s almost impossible not to get 3 Mori’s at least with ebony Mori’s.

  • I think it’s honestly survivor movement that pisses me off the most about playing killer. Gens aren’t as bad if you come equipped with the right perks. You can feed off constant information from your hooks and downs and speed. But the survivor movement being able to 180 or 360 you is bs

  • @Oicimau said:

At least 4 out of 5 in the match are having fun and a chance.

it feels the exact same way playing the game solo survivor too. Death after death after death after death. Only thing is, survivors have to rely on others you don’t. Maybe it’s not the games fault it’s your fault.

  • @LuffyBlack said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/173414/about-swf

There aren't any easy solutions, but the main issue is Discord and the developers' mindset. At the start they made this game that was supposed to be unpredictable with strangers who aren't communicate with each other; Discord screws this up. Rather than maybe make changes to accommodate the survivors' desire to communicate and plan while throwing a bone at the solo survivors, they choose to do nothing. Hell, I can't even think of a way to bring the solos up to SWF level without ######### the killer who relies on information the most. Killers repeated this over and over only to be met by the same responses "git gud!", "you need to apply pressure" or my favorite, "if you remove swf, you get no players!" nevermind the fact that outside communication is out of the killer's control. It's like playing basket ball with people who has telepathic powers, it adds an unfun disadvantage all the while people bully((let's be real here)) killers into playing with rules that often see them having their hands behind their backs. The developers need to step in here and make some changes. I don't know if it's in game chat, making certain perks basekit, or what.

To this day, I am amazed no one has never stopped and asked themselves "Man, I have never played a game where communication ######### everything up"

survivors are way underpowered in solo.

swf matches killer. That’s about it. Killers def have the upper hand. Communication is what levels the playing field.

  • @Robotman200 said:

I see a lot of people on this forum often complain about swf but no one actually talks about what they would do to change it. Personally, as someone who plays soloQ survivor and killer I don't think anything needs to be done to limit people playing with their friends. Not trying to start a war here, just want to see some peoples thoughts on why swf is disliked among the killer side and what they would do to change it.

well solo queue is just as bad as a killer going up against swf. Its actually worse. As a solo queue I can count with my fingers how often I win as opposed to playing killer. And by winning as killer I mean 4K. I actually 4K too frequently. More than what seems fair. It’s not hard. People don’t have good headset or they have poor map knowledge Or both. That’s all there is to it.

  • @Predated said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/172623/harsh-truths-for-survivors-that-complain

Objective timers have the potential to be done in 3 minutes, if killer does nothing to prevent it and survivors have prepared for a genrush.

"You see in 3rd person, you have a 32m head start on the killer" You see in 3rd person because its the best way we can create the feeling of being the prey, killers look in 1st person, because predators all have a first person look. The 3rd person view isnt neccesarily better, you can see more, but you focus on less. The 1st person view has a lot more focus, but sees less. Let alone that as killer, you know where all the gens are at all times. Survivors dont. Which might not seem like a big deal. But it is. You can decide from the moment the game starts, which generators you give up and which ones you dont. You can easily give up 3 gens on the opposite side of the map, if you have 4 generators huddled together. That is information you get before survivors even know where their teammates are.

"you know which way the killer is facing at a loop." Yeah, considering killer is the only character that can actually do harm where survivors rely on their surroundings. That's neccesary. Let alone that killers can moonwalk and remove that information at any given time, if they are good enough.

"You also know when you're hexed." So? Thats the point of hex totems: forcing survivors to clean totems instead of working on generators, of face the consequences of the hex. Considering the power hex totems have, that's more than fair. Sure, it can lead to a very early cleanse, essentially removing a perk, but that is RNG. It can be found the first second of the match, or never be found at all.

"Add in swf and you get even more info." This is the only legitimate point you got, but, it has a defect: thats assuming the swf work perfectly together. Teamwork is what makes SWF strong. But lets take a very short example: Teamwork of 4 people can finish a house within a few days. Solo building a house can take up to weeks if not months. Its why co-op times on generators have been nerfed, but not solo times. But the average SWF, even with additional information on if someone is in chase or not, only gets you so far if your teammate is bad at giving you information. I've had a friend of mine say "I found a burning totem, its behind me where I was hooked", only for it to be on the opposite side of the map, because he was too focussed on the chase. Losing us a lot of time than if I were playing solo and just continued to work on my gen. SWF can shoot itself in the foot real fast. Killers often ignore this because 1% of SWF is so efficient that it lasts in their memory, yet 99% of SWF tends to be like 4 randoms playing very altruistically. And too much altruism is the biggest weakness on survivors. I rather face 100 rounds against the average SWF than 1 round against 4 random solo survivors.

"Meanwhile killer is crippled by awful fov and deafening chase music." Its far from awful FOV, its just regular 1st person. And you do realize that music settings can be changed? If you cant hear someone speedvaulting because of the music, then your settings are not proper.

"Perk strength is heavily slanted to survivors. Look at prove thyself vs thanataphobia, one grants 40% faster gen speeds, the other gives 16% slowdown. Don't get me started on object, ds, dh, unbreakable, spine chill, and soul guard." You're looking at it wrong. Stackable positive and stackable negative works differently. Let alone, that for prove thyself to apply the full efficiency, it requires at least 2 other survivors being nearby the survivor running the perk, while Thanatophobia works regardless of their location. As for the other perks. Object of Obsession is the only legitimate complaint you could have. Soul guard is perfectly fine. Spine chill is perfectly fine, Unbreakable and DS are only slightly powerful when applied together, but even then are still fine. Deadhard is more than fine, and extremely easy to bait.

"Map strength is in your favor. Killer has like two maps that are strong, survivors have the rest." Someone else already mentioned it, but "survivor sided" maps where the killrate was 55%(even though a 50% killrate is BALANCED), were nerfed, yet a 70-ish% killrate map has been left untouched(practically 3k standard). Do killers really think a 3k average is balanced? Because its not. A 3k is essentially a 4k with RNG. Yet there is no map that has lower than 50% killrate. So technically speaking, there are no survivor sided maps. They are all killersided.

"Rng is in your favor. Kobe's, trap escapes, map offerings, hook spawns all trend toward survivors." Really? You think a Kobe is in survivor favor? It's literally 4%. You literally need to use a perk slot or 4 offerings and a perk slot to start having reliable Kobe's, and even then, the odds are stacked against you. Trap escapes can last 5 seconds to eternity, map offerings are rarely worth talking about at all especially considering Ebony Mori is more common than any other thing in the game. Hook spawns are ALWAYS within 20 meters on any spot of the map without hook alterations, including other hooks. You can walk 50 meters as a killer, meaning that there are at least 5 hooks within your carry distance at any given time(counting the basement as 1 hook too). Let alone that killer offerings in general have a heavier weight than survivor offerings. Meaning, that most of your complaints here, are actually killer favor RNG. Seriously, how is any of this survivor RNG?

"Finally, matchmaking is in your favor, there's far more yellow rank killers facing red rank survivors than the reverse." It used to be flipped. More red rank killers than there were Red, Purple and Green survivors combined. Meaning you had Yellow survivors facing Red killers. That is a match made in hell. At least Yellow rank killers tend to be able to handle themselves, it would be an extremely hard match(even though the lowest I've seen was a green rank 9 killer, so I am claiming your yellow rank killer claim is BS). Let alone that I as a red rank survivor have been put up against a red rank killer and have my teammates be brown ranks before. Matchmaking is in no-ones favor at the moment.

"So basically what I'm saying is that no killer or killer perk is overpowered." Spirit is extremely overpowered. No way to counter her other than guessing. I mean, thats like walking into corona affected hospital wings without any facial protection and hoping you dodge all the corona droplets.

Let alone that Pop is extremely punishing.

Basically, what I am saying, is that survivors are not overpowered. They have greater potential than the killer because of teamwork, but they cant make any mistakes if they do so. If you are facing a team and you cant even get 2 kills, that's 100% on you not being skilled enough to defeat the team you were facing against. Doesnt have anything to do with perks, doesnt have anything to do with SWF. Even the sweatiest SWF can be beaten by any killer in the game.

Hell no survivors are not overpowered. After playing both sides It’s safe to say it’s too ez to get kills. I find the hit boxes slanted in killers favor heavily!

  • @Dwinchester said:

Every day I see someone complaining that this killer or that killer perk is overpowered and needs to go. Let me lay down the harsh truth for you as someone that plays both sides.

Survivors have the advantage in this game, not killers.

Objective times are heavily slanted in survivor favor, they're capable of being done in under 4 minutes. The numbers favor you, 4 survivors to a single killer.

Information is also survivor sided. You see in 3rd person, you have a 32m head start on the killer, you know which way the killer is facing at a loop. You also know when you're hexed. Add in swf and you get even more info. Meanwhile killer is crippled by awful fov and deafening chase music.

Perk strength is heavily slanted to survivors. Look at prove thyself vs thanataphobia, one grants 40% faster gen speeds, the other gives 16% slowdown. Don't get me started on object, ds, dh, unbreakable, spine chill, and soul guard.

Map strength is in your favor. Killer has like two maps that are strong, survivors have the rest.

Rng is in your favor. Kobe's, trap escapes, map offerings, hook spawns all trend toward survivors.

Finally, matchmaking is in your favor, there's far more yellow rank killers facing red rank survivors than the reverse.

So basically what I'm saying is that no killer or killer perk is overpowered. If you're losing, you only have yourself to blame. You have every advantage handed to you and can win 95% of your matches if you're a top team. It's ok to be less than a top team, but when you ask for killer nerfs, you're widening the gap at the top.

You think you know what you’re talking about, but you don’t 😂 survivors don’t have the advantage. Slugging and proxy camping 3 gens is OP and not really fair either. I can tell you right now I main plague Lvl50 prestige 3 red rank killer and it’s ezzzzzz. If plague can do it anyone can do it. Okay okay maybe I use 4th gen Astro A50s and have an elite controller. But still, you use the right perk combination on the right killer with awareness you’ll be 3-4K every game. Killers are A little privileged

  • I get tired of going down when I had no chance in the first place and that being my last opportunity to play that match. I get it go play swf then. But that’s not always a viable option for people. So at least don’t make it more frustrating on me to go through a struggle phase that doesn’t even require you to pay attention to the game Like skill checks do. There was a time Where I actually left and went to the kitchen for food with the controller in my hand mashing the A button still. Came back and I was rescued and healed. So there are other reasons. Keep your player base engaged and immersed into each match. Repetitive button mashing is terrible.

  • @10grapples said:

you can set it to scroll wheel to make it a bit easier, but it would be nice if they actually changed it

No it needs to be changed entirely. Don’t need a survey for it.

  • @Mikeasaurus said:

Hopefully the survey is a huge hint they'll change it to skill checks like the cages. Though I do hope if they do change it, they add an option to give up because it's bad enough being stuck in the cage even missing skill checks when it's clear nobody is coming for you.

I agree. Getting caught is inevitable in this game. You’re not really that sneaky. And there are plenty of occurrences where you’re either left to die on the hook or poorly hook rescued. And these are red rank teammates? How? Is that how you got to rank 1 leaving teammates on hooks? Interesting. But even then it’s like I don’t want to break my damn space bar or A button struggling when it doesnt feel worth it where you go down so easily because killers have practically no recovery time between hits and apparently have extended range on their hits now. It happens once a game at least but at killer shack killers are starting to lunge at the windows and I get hit as I’m running by the window a couple feet away from it. ARE you kidding me? Yeah whatever. But that’s just it though if nobody is coming for you I usually wait and give them until the struggle phase to where I’m like okay I guess this is time to move on to another game lol

so.... you gonna stream some gameplay on twitch for us to watch? or is this just bs?....

I mean, you act like it’s totally OUT-OF-THIS-WORLD to find someone who actually 3-4Ks playing killer. I don’t need to stream it to prove it.

I don't verse a huge amount of Infectious Fright, and it is how some people use DS. I personally don't and find it to be an excellent way to get targeted by the killer.

Main thing was that people feel confident enough with both DS and Unbreakable to blatantly do stuff in the killer's face because they either stun them with DS, or ignore the slug with Unbreakable.

If someone tries it with me, I'll eat their DS and put them on hook. If they calm me a tunneller, I'll let them know that they asked me to by abusing DS.

Thats the thing, DS is a one time use and a minute is not that long. It comes in handy sure, but I don’t get use out of it every single game. I find myself left on the hook more than tunneled off the hook. I still don’t understand how someone can abuse a one time use perk? I feel like people come up with any excuse they can to hate on something that YOU shouldn’t hate on. That’s literally the ONLY perk that allows you to defend yourself and give you a chance at escaping. Otherwise it’s easy kills and easy abuse from the killer. Think about it, you have a killer who wants to kill you and only you, then you have a survivor that unhooks you unsafely, how is that YOUR fault? It’s not. Bad luck right? Bad teammates? Yeah. But No it shouldnt be out of your control unless YOU let it get that way. Things that can be avoided had you used this perk instead of this perk, you know? That’s why DS doesn’t make me mad as killer. BT doesn’t either. I could care less, I’ll go find someone else or play gen defense. Tbh you shouldn’t be feeding off the hook rescues anyways unless it’s to go after the guy doing the rescue! Best move you can make! But yeah, it should be totally fine for you to fend the killer off ONE time for 5 seconds if the killer chooses to tunnel. So as a killer I don’t get mad at that. Hell I don’t remember the last time I was even DS’d. I catch someone in my infectious fright 50% of the time. Most people try to counter BBQ by staying close or do quick hook rescues. Also... I think distressing helps infectious fright does it not? I don’t use it but I used to. It’s just such a game changer when you need to play catch up 😆

I wanna see some footage of you playing killer, care to stream ?

Im on Xbox. I main plague. She’s prestige 3 level 50. I have every single outfit on her. Sad thing is, she’s not even the best killer out there😎

  • Yeah survivors are easy with the right perks that lock gens, slow repair speed, give you visual notifications all while wearing a good headset... yeah killers win most of the time. They have to keep buffing killers to keep the whining down because people are so bad at it 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

I usually play solo survivor and it’s way less fun than killer. Because you lose so much more. And I see red rank survivors on my team. Communication has a lot to do with it. But I think killers are simply just too efficient by now. But like I said it’s sad when you play a game and can’t do anything but sit on a hook the whole game. I’m angry that they haven’t implemented anything to give survivors a chance to fight back against that kind of behavior. And I’m not talking about second chance perks. Even Deliverance isn’t good enough because like I said before WHAT good is a perk if you have to WORK for it first? Meaning.... you may not even get any use out of it. USELESS. Lmao. It’s a perk i Don’t mind limited uses but when you add on a requirement before you use up its limited charges that’s just ridiculous. That’s why deliverance gets an average rating on most sites. Survivors need perks that will allow them to defend themselves in versatile situations. Just my 2 cents.

Maybe you should stream some red rank killer gameplay so we learn from you. EZ 4Ks. 😂

This is the problem when people play one side, and have like thousands of hours on it, while never touching the other side.

Also yes second chase perks (DS/Borrowed Time) are necessary, but they get abused way too much.

How many times did a survivor with BT come to me to take a protective hit, protecting other survivor? How many times they did the same with DS, or they abuse DS by healing/fixing a generator right in front of your eyes knowing they are invincible?

You clearly misunderstood what I was saying about that. You slug them with infectious fright and you’re essentially using that guy as a way of giving you another target to chase. As long as you stay on someone constantly, survivors never win. They will never win. That’s why I say second chance perks absolutely have a place in the game. And good killers work around them too easily to where they are almost useless. Survivors need better perks that protect THEMSELVES. Most are all coop perks which is great! But usually the game becomes very sad to play when you’re constantly getting pummeled and left behind and there’s nothing you can do about it. It happens on solo and it happens when the killer camps you. Killers don’t deserve to get rewarded by camping. That’s not what you’re supposed to do! By all means go ahead, but NEVER would I reward anyone in a game I create for camping. Not ever. I’m not talking about points. Survivors should be able to defend themselves better without having to WORK for it first. THATS the whole point of a PERK! Killers have unlimited uses on their add ons and perks. Survivors have limited uses. Yet people still complain about survivors even having limited use perks? That’s really sad.

  • Pallets are unsafe in so many areas. There’s too many of them imo

  • @Dwinchester said:

In 4 matches today, dead hard for distance cost me 12 downs. Unsurprisingly all from rank 1 survivors. This isn't a "bait it out" type deal, this is a nothing you can do about it, they make the pallet either way type deal. There is not a single perk in this game that has that kind of value, it's absolutely broken.

hahahahahaha that’s the biggest load of nonsense I’ve ever heard. The killer has so many more advantages. DH didn’t cost you the down, YOU costed you the down. LmaoZzzzzzz

  • DS time sucks imo. It’s too easy to wait out

  • @PigMainClaudette said:

I guess it all depends on HOW you use them, especially wiyh perks like DS.

There is the INTENDED use, which is what I used it for, to literally just give tunnellers the middle finger or there is the "Hurhur 60 Seconds Invincibility" use which killers complain about. This is where you act freely because the "difficult skill check" really isn't. Combine it with Unbreakable and there's no punishing this sort of reckless behaviour.

The perks themselves are FINE. But it's how people are using them.

It’s not a minute of invincibility if you get slugged. You put on infectious fright and it now works to your advantage to simply use that person to down him in order to find another target. Time doesn’t matter that much because the killer should be going after the one that did the rescue anyways if the killer refused to go back out and defend generators .

So you're saying second chance perks are so powerful they compensate acceptably for survivors' teammates being utterly boosted, and displaying a complete lack of teamwork, in a team game. You say this is why they're okay.

That sounds to me like an argument for why they're absolutely not okay in the hands of good players. Good survivors who can loop, who typically do not care about being found at all. This analysis does not relate to playing vs these kinds of survivors, and complaints about second chance perks usually do.

Good survivors who can loop lmaooo please

it’s funny that people will still defend killers by blaming the survivor for not looping good enough when :

    1) the total number of pallets have been minimized and the ones that are on the map, some of them don’t do anything to stop the killer because he just walks around the pallet Because there is no wall on either side 😂 just a stack of tires or debris

    2) maps have been shrunk

    3) most of the map is a dead zone where you are caught out of position. 🤣 enough said

its just not hard to get downs as a killer. I’ll stand by that 100%. Ez 4Ks. Especially if you got infectious fright. It’s just filthy.

so I think yes, second chance perks are very necessary. It’s too easy to get caught and too easy to go down. I swear they had to have done something recently to break hit boxes as well. Because now I’ve seen killers swinging at windows and actually downing people running by them. The hitbox seems a bit wide there.

  • I don’t even go in expecting to win anymore as a survivor because it doesn’t happen that often. Perks for survivors kinda suck 🤣 they don’t do enough. What little that they do people complain about. For instance you guys be like “why is DS one minute? That’s one minute of invincibility”

well... that minute isn’t actually a lot of time if you consider other killer perks that slow down the amount of things that survivor can do while he or she is in injured one hit yet “invincible” mode 😂😂. Also slugging with infectious fright or other informational perks/auditory cues (with a good headset) to find another target. Don’t be afraid to go after someone else after you down this 1 minute invincible survivor . It’s never a bad decision as you are pulling other survivors off of gens to pick up/heal. Stalling their objective while you’re completing yours.

  • im telling you guys it’s not difficult to be a killer 🤣🤣🤣 more often than not playing survivor I lose than if I were to play as a killer. Killer is meant for solo people. I get that. But then why are you complaining about survivors having second chance perks? Not everyone is swf. So there needs to be ways you can take care of yourself when your teammates can’t do it for you. Personally I enjoy going in solo survivor not to win but for the thrill of it. But this game doesn’t offer much in terms of assisting the solo survivor player other than DS and self care which are almost useless in high rank play. It’s sad. The amount of times you win as survivor are so much lower than the amount of times you win as killer. At least for me!

  • @Valor188917 said:

Because when stacked they're up to 12 extra lives which is ridiculous in a game where killers are pressed for time.

It’s not 12 extra lives. Think about how many times someone goes on the hook the first time around and it’s their last because killers proxy camp or don’t get rescued by their teammates. Sometimes you need second chance perks to TAKE CARE OF YOURSELF! That’s what they are there for. I’m sorry if I went into every single game as a survivor relying on 3 randoms to take care of me I’d never win a game. It’s just not fun for the people playing survivor. Swf is the only thing that stands a chance. You can’t be mad at second chance perks because it’s too easy to get a down as a killer. You act like it’s hard to find people 😂 so what you get caught once you’re done for? Nooooooo. Absolutely not. I would uninstall the game immediately. Mostly because it’s too easy for killers to find people and go from one person to the next because of the perks killers have especially while using a good headset to listen for moaning survivors in pain. It’s not hard. How much more do they need to spoon feed killers to do their job?

i have played quite a bit in the past few weeks and it is horrendous. I'm usually around rank 7-9 and constantly getting red ranks typically 1-3 every game. It doesn't bother me a whole ton because they're somewhat easy to deal with unless i get the ones who flawlessly loop which is very frustrating.

Flawlessly loop? And you’re mad at them for not wanting to die? 🤣 why shouldn’t that be an option in this game permitted someone were good at it? Privileged killers demand ez downs. Sheesh.

  • @SweetTerror said:

... and God knows I'm tired of saying it, but the developers need to seriously focus on getting the new MMR out the door and put any sort of new characters or reworks on the back burner.

When you look at the ranks, I don't think it's hard to see why these players disconnected. Me, nor that rank 2 should ever have been matched with these newer players.

    https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/FGYNVMK3SFQD/img-20200708-231921.jpg

What’s sad is playing this game solo survivor thinking you will ever win. It’s not balanced at all. Even swf get smacked and I main plague 🤣 it’s too ez to be a killer when they shrink map sizes and buff killers in every update because bad players load the forums up with “devs fix your game” posts that go on to say that survivors are OP. They’re not.

  • i Think killers are the privileged ones. If they don’t get all 4 every game they straight up complain. “It’s affecting my pip omggggg my life is a wreck. The forums need to know about this” 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

  • They don’t need to fix anything. It’s actually quite opposite of what you say. You’re only having a bad experience because you need good perks and a good headset I presume? That would help a lot. I get 4Ks every game with plague. Killers actually have the upper hand in most games as I’ve experienced playing solo survivor. As for swf it might prove to be more challenging for killers. But I’ve went against that as killer where they made god like plays and I still beat them. I’m telling you you need to work on things. Killers are really OP and the complaints just make it worse. Have you tried solo surviving? It’s disgusting how sad the win rate is for survivors on that. And I look at scoreboards after the game I play with rank 1-3 survivors. How are they red rank max rank and still dying and giving killers constant 4Ks? It’s EASY I’m telling you you’re doing it wrong! 🤣 there are good strategies that are almost unbeatable. Killers abilities to hit survivors through windows with a reach that extends the length of a football field (exaggerating - but it really is ridiculous) constantly I go into games as survivor where killers are now swinging at windows because they know they will get a hit through it. I noticed it right away there’s something wrong with the reach. I don’t think they should be able to hit you unless you’re in the vaulting animation. But whatever. So long story short more often than not killers are coming out with more victories than losses when you go in there having some experience and map knowledge. Get good!
