Yeah a medal pinned right next to your name color coded according to how many hours you have in increments of 1000 for sure. That way people know how experienced you are. They’ll be saying “Oh no.... a platinum billy with over 5000 hours? I better disconnect”

The skulls represent the skulls from the DbD logo.
No the black goo. There were jars filled with black goo aboard a space ship on planet LV-223. You know, the egg sacs? Remember those?
-
why is there black goo coming out of the skulls eyes if it’s not alien? What other reference would it be? If it’s not a reference or clue to who the killer is well then, Why is it even there?
but to be honest, I want it to be Pennywise. Alien would be satisfactory. Candyman..... NO... just no. He would be boring

You know what TrueTalent said the counter for Oni is? Don’t get hit. Okay, yeah sure. How is that not a counter for every killer though? 😂

I find him unfun to play too, it feels cheap when I can get a free down just because I used my basic attack before hand.
There are a lot of cheap things killers have. Abilities are one, Mori’s are another. Free kills, free downs. Next thing you know killers are going to be granted the Option of purchasing and equipping something similar to the five pieces of exodia (Yu-Gi-Oh reference for those who don’t know) where they simply spawn in and instantly win. Where just because they spent a good chunk of bloodpoints on that particular match they automatically win. It really feels like the more you spend the better your chances of winning are, the same can’t be said for the survivors. Killers have add ons and offerings that last the duration of the match, whereas survivors items and add ons are consumable yet cost the same. Why is that?

Yes, there are well coordinated SWF groups that abuse killers, and makes the game unfun. The game is too easy for them, so they get their amusement by harassing the killer. There are also a lot of red ranked potato survivors, because they rank up much more easily than killers do. Hopefully, this will change when they revamp the MM system. Supposedly that will match people more based on their actual skill.
It’s not too easy for survivors it’s too easy for killers. Insta kills via Mori’s, abilities and perks, insta downs (exposed) how much easier do they have to make it for killers? I main plague with access to none of that and I still do fine. Get yourself a good headset and a TV with high resolution plus some map knowledge and you’ll be alright. I feel like killers that don’t get constant 4Ks are the people that come on here and complain about getting bullied 😂 Killers have such easy ways of ending chases fast, almost too fast. You guys might be lacking competence in this area. That has to be the issue. I’m angry with the lack of playtime I get as survivor due to lack of Being able to defend yourself from tunneling, camping, proxy camping and the constant abuse of Mori’s since there are very little alternatives for killers because of its ridiculous strength in an offering slot - ITS AN OFFERING. Survivors dont have anything that has a similarly strong impact on the game in their offering slot.

All I can say is laugh out loud.

This one sidedness gets really old. Both sides do this. I don’t know what you’re trying to protest here, but it’s uncanny because people need to grow up 😂

As both killer and survivor i find it absolute bullshit. Happens in a good chunk of my games. When someone does it, either because they don't like the killer or they don't like that they were first downed. It completely ruins the game, basically guarantees the killer will win, and also makes the killer lucky to black pip. It's bad for everyone in the game and there is no excuse to not treat it the same as a D/C
You can’t force somebody to stay in a game first of all. DC penalties are already unnecessary because it only benefits the killer simply because hook suicides still ruin it for the survivor side. No reason to stick around and break your controller struggling on the hook anyways. Or just get poorly hook rescued and Mori’d. From my experience, this game is very rarely fun for survivors. If they make it more interesting for survivors I think you’d see different results. Need better ways to keep the killer off your back to prevent tunneling and get rid of those Mori’s. Keys can go too I don’t even care lol it’s not like you see your teammates bring them in that often because I think everyone typically prefers medkits or maps. Killers always get to use their Mori’s, but do survivors always get to use their keys? No. In fact, if I use a key at all it’s because I have a gold token attached to it with prayer beads 😂 the hatch escape with a key is kind of like a bonus, not really the main intent of bringing a key in. But anything that ends the game quick needs to disappear from this game entirely.

'Balance' does not mean 'Affects everyone equally'. This is just a non-argument people make.
'Well, if Survivors stagger, Killer's should, too! It's BALANCE!' Wrong! Killers are strong in the chase, so they don't stagger. Plus, Survivors have perks to mitigate this problem, which is what perks should DO.
No, but they shouldn’t have zero stagger and be able to hit you too! That’s broken and if you don’t see that you might not know what balance is either
-
@Nutty_Professor said:
So I play both sides at red ranks for quite some time so I believe my opinion on balance is unbiased. I have my survivor sided views and my killer sided views.
In my opinion the biggest issue with balance is generators, whether it's the time it takes to complete them or how easy is it for the killer to patrol them.
When this game first came out and until about two years ago, survivors were not as optimal as they are now. Survivors are more focused on completing generators, then they were before.
For example I was playing as Leatherface in a red rank game, the survivors were all below average. The chases were short, I was constantly hooking survivors not long after I hooked the other survivor, I don't know how I could possibly have applied any more pressure. Yet they were able to complete four generators. Granted I was playing as a weak killer, I didn't have any slow down perks, and I still got the 4k.
However, due to the quality of the survivors and how much pressure I was applying believe the win should have been more convincing.
This video by Otzdarva has already been shared on this forum but it's still a great example of how generators can be completed, despite the killer applying a lot of pressure.
The biggest issue with balance is not generators. How much easier do they have to make downing survivors for killers though? How much smaller are the maps going to get? How much worse are loops going to be or the amount of pallets? How come they haven’t done anything about Mori’s? It’s not fun coming in and being a part of your Mori montage or stare at myself on a hook all game. How much more do they need to nerf survivors? To where it’s just unplayable and you get easier 4Ks just handed to you? Are you playing yellow ranks?

@Lumionesty said:
I like the idea but personally I think it’s fine as it is. It doesn’t play huge parts in chases. Points of elevation are supposed to be a bit more risky for survivors. At the moment with the removal of god loops in my opinion the actual chase part of the game is very balanced. If you’re a good survivor you’ll be able to loop a killer whose worse then you. If you’re a good killer you’ll be able to catch a survivor whose worse then you. I just don’t see the point of adding more mechanics like this when elevation is supposed to be a bit risky. And it’s not like the stagger is that big. We don’t want to head in the direction of Infinite Haddonfield again.
It’s definitely not fine. It’s only fair both have stagger. You can’t make one without the other When the killer already has a speed advantage. Besides most of these killers are humans too!
-
@Predated said:
Like, not even that much and perhaps triggering from a larger height, but it just doesnt make sense to me that a survivor needs 2-3 seconds to recover from a massive height before they can start moving again while a killer can be charging at 110-115% from with 0 punishment.
For example: jumping from thompsons house(I do love the new window tho, thanks for finally making that upstairs hook a tiny bit less strong), I get a 3 second stagger. This in itself is not a problem, I am not running BL and if I use Lithe, I lose about 60% of my speedboost, this all, mechanically, is fine. However, the killer being able to vault, drop down, charge a hit/ability while falling and not recieve any penalty from falling to the ground always felt a bit odd(especially while carrying a survivor, you'd expect a killer who drops down from Hawkin's second floor to the first floor to have some impact).
Even if the killer had like 5-10% of what a survivor experienced, that still would be a massive advantage while still being a tiny bit of a punishment and would make so many structures accessible for a chase rather than only being viable when you run BL. Aka, iron works rafters, hawkins drop(which was super OP because of old BL, but nowadays is pretty much guaranteed death), dropping from a second story window in pretty much any building, carrying a survivor while dropping from a height etc.
Basically, you have structures in game right now that are 100% guaranteed hits for killers unless a survivor is running BL. Since the BL nerf, most survivors no longer run BL unless they use a map offering in the first place. So a lot of in-game structures are avoided by survivors because its a guaranteed hit for killers. Now by adding a tiny bit of stagger in massive heights(which also cancels/reduces charge time when still charging), you add a reason for survivors to try pulling a high risk high reward play, which would give the killer a 95% chance on getting a hit, but add a reason for survivors to actually use killer-sided structures without BL.
Yeah not only do they have zero stagger but they can do some kind of leaping smash attack it’s ridiculous. Chases are supposed to be fun?

I don’t get the people that complain about survivors doing gens too fast. That’s their job, that’s your job to keep them off of the gens. They both have the same strength to them. The issue is one comes into play typically far quicker than the other unless the killer snowballs extremely well at the start.
I don’t agree with you at all. If this game was balanced in terms of the strength of those two then looking at the math it doesn’t add up. Keys offer an objective reduction of, at most 40% (3/5 gens done - 2 gens you don’t have to do with half your team dead already) whereas Mori’s reduce 12 hooks down to 4. Which is a 66.7% objective reduction. Now, if they altered the Mori to require everyone (in the game still - players that have disconnected don’t count) being hooked first before mori’ing someone I think it would be a lot more reasonable. But only once all survivors in game have been hooked once. I mean, it’s an offering it’s not supposed to be game changing 😂 survivor offerings aren’t game changing. Killers have add ons too so I’m really baffled at why killers need that much strength in their offering tab? Yet people Sit here and whine about being the killer. Or come up with reasons why they bring in a Mori when, quite frankly I think the real reason is because they’re bad at being the killer. After all of the updates map shrinking, pallets seemingly spread out every couple miles or so, loops getting weaker, killers being good at cutting chases short, why do you need them? What because you’re mad you got flashlight stunned? It’s for those sweaty 50 year old moms basement nerds that get upset when the survivors come at you with slightest bit of resistance to dying or being an easy down for you? Sounds privileged to me. Those people that expect 4K every game so they force feed themselves. When I play killer I hardly ever use those things. What’s most disturbing about them is the fact that they are an “ultra rare” offering yet I see one in almost every bloodweb level. I have double digits worth of them currently.

It's been nice playing as a low rank killer where I could afford being a nice and good sport killer, but the moment you reach higher ranks it's over.
Everything is momento mori, mori, more mori and slugging camping and what not.
That’s just sad lol
i don’t even know why Mori’s are still in the game. I can understand the green one but the ebony? It’s existence is Inexcusable and unjustified. Keys aren’t a good answer. Out of all my games playing survivor, about 1 out of every 50 somebody on my team has a key. Let alone the fact it’s not a guaranteed use because you might not even get 80% of the gens done to get some or most of your teammates out through it if the killer has Mori because killers that use it love to tunnel and camp. It’s just not fun. I hope the devs are trying to establish a more enjoyable multiplayer for the survivors. When I play killer I don’t have a problem. The stress playing killer is fun enough 😂😂😂 but never do I consider using a Mori unless they’re all running keys and flashlights. But even then I think ebonys are overkill and unnecessary considering the fact that killers have good add ons
the strength of a key < Mori. But they need to take both out

He's meant to follow behaviours rules but he's not meant to follow your rule set.

How can someone be this entitled. Dear killer mains. If you decide to get a 4k you're thirsty for bloodpoints. No debate. You're not supposed to kill last survivor apparently.
You know it’s a competitive game mode, right? This isn’t like that cheesy F13 game where you’re literally meant to die and the odds of winning or escaping are meant to be poor. It’s not designed like that. Sure they’re not entitled to escaping but neither is the killer entitled to his kills. Nor is it fun to die for someone every game because you feel you’re entitled to simply because “the killer is supposed to kill you” that’s not a good reason. In my opinion it’s not about the killer doing his job, it’s the lack of being able to defend yourself when the killer isn’t effectively doing his job protecting gens and chasing other survivors because he’s tunneling you. Why the hell are Mori’s in the game still I DONT KNOW. They don’t belong there. However, The devs nerf gen coop speed, they nerf loops, they nerf pallet numbers, they nerf everything but don’t touch killers, like ever. and it’s suprising people still sit here and complain about survivors feeling entitled 😂 it goes both ways.

Well... what do you know... A second friggin key was in the match as well, so that survivor went through the hatch too while I’m patrolling the gates.
Look, they escape, they escape, whoopee. But it infuriates me if I depip from that.

@OutcastEric said:
Seriously all you need to do is make it almost useless to solo a gen in a reasonable amount of time. Survivors should need to work as a team through co op actions to outsmart the killer. This would allow killers to actually play the game. To balance this increase the speed at which gens are completed after someone dies.
The gens are done in a reasonable amount of time. I’m sick of getting tunneled and Mori’d just because I was the first one to inevitably get caught. How about that? How long was that game for me? Was that fun? No.
this game is meant for fast solo work too in the sense that you should be creating pressure from multiple gens rather than one.! They nerfed coop repairs a bit.
-
To be honest if a killer is good in terms of awareness and map knowledge, it’s almost too easy. Especially with a high mobility killer. It’s almost unfair because it is possible gens just don’t get done. You throw in an ebony Mori or op add ons and it’s kinda frustrating to play. They just nerf survivors and force you to use a perk to regain that nerf. Whereas killers don’t suffer the same fate with each passing update. Yeah early on you get rushed a little playing killer, you might feel some pressure early game, but killers have the upper hand towards the end of the match and most often in red ranks I don’t escape. Which is fine, you can still pip. But what makes me mad is the fact that killers still have ebony Mori’s and tunnel and camp like they don’t give a damn about gens. Meanwhile that survivor that got Mori’d tunneled and camped loses rank. That’s not fun for people. I don’t understand why they don’t acknowledge that better. But Then killers....they complain when the plan backfires and all gens are done.

Trying to do the dumb challenge, but I can't hit the broad side of a barn and its frustrating the heck out of me. And of course the survivors have to teabag on their way out after an easy match with 0 hooks. I cannot play Huntress. I just want to complete this stupid rift challenge.
I feel like huntress is one of the best killers in the game (and Freddy and nurse). Iri heads are OP (you shouldn’t be able to combine them with infantry belt - that seems broken to me). But as far as aiming goes whenever I go up against a huntress and she’s throwing a hatchet at me they are almost impossible to dodge. My question to you is, how do you miss? 😂😂😂 The hitbox seems frustratingly large. Am I wrong? One hit down ranged attacks shouldn’t be this ridiculousY easy to get. I don’t find it very fun that a killer has the capability of ending chases and... quite possibly the game that fast. Hit with hatchet up close then swing (hatchet first means you don’t take a stun and keep moving). Fastest chase ending strategy I know. And you’re giving them up to 3 iris per locker reload? With no limit? Why are survivor add ons consumable but not killer ones? Makes no sense.

My general stance, which covers all forms of tunnelling and camping, is as long as it's within the rules of the game, no one should expect you not to do it, or give you crap for doing it. That doesn't mean it's not nice to play against someone who chooses not to do those things out of kindness, or that you shouldn't have an anti-camping or anti-tunneling rule for yourself if that's how you prefer to play (as I myself generally do), but your rules aren't everyone's rules, and no one has the right to tell anyone else how they should or should not play (actual breaches of the official rules being the obvious exception).
As for flashlights, I'll admit I hate them as killer and find them really demoralising to play against, and I don't use them as survivor (not for that reason, but because I'm not aggressive or chase-oriented so I think there are other, more worthwhile items to bring). From an objective point of view, though, I'm fine with them as long as they're being used strategically and not solely as a taunting device.
you don’t acknowledge the importance of defending yourself though. Sure as a killer you might get mad at the use of flashlights. But when there are pallets every mile or so, dead ends and bad loops, you’ll be wishing you had more than once chance every match playing survivor. It grows tiresome coming into games and getting Mori’d or tunneled or camped on because I got caught once giving me almost no playtime. It’s the

Hello, I play both Survivor and Killer a lot, i enjoy both and i think it is good that the game is getting balanced, however i think it would be an idea to reward the killer if the survivor has to use a key to escape.
I just had a doctor match on Lery's memorial institute, there was 1 gen left and 1 survivor was dead. I think i had a great chance of winning as the 3 gens weren't that far from each other and at least 2 of them had been hooked twice already, then one guy gets rescued and him and his friend jump into the hatch, i close it and then the doors were quite far from each other so the last survivor could escape.
Keys are a part of the game and a way to counter mori in my opinion, however i think it should somehow reward the killer when the survivors have to use the hatch to escape as they can't finish the last gen(s)
I remember Tru3ta1ent talking about this in the past, you can play a decent game as a killer where you are likely to win and then the survivors just use a key and escape which quite frequently gives the survivors a +pip and the killer has to settle with barely a 0 pip.
I think Killers should get more from the games when the survivors use a key to escape and the survivors shouldn't get rewarded with 5000 points (7500 if they don't have max objective points) and quite frequently get a +pip (depends on what else they did that match, but escaping gives good)
The doctor game i just played ended with the 3 survivors escaping easily and i just exactly got 0 pip even though i played well and got 27k bloodpoints.
I'm curious to hear what others have to say about this, if you agree or not, just please provide an explanation as to why you may agree or disagree.
Here are some screenshots for proof.
I think survivors should get more for being Mori’d. It’s not their fault they only got one chance to play with the killer. How is that fun for them? With Keys they still have to do most of the work. Killers get a short cut Too ya know. Keys aren’t guaranteed either. How many times do I have to explain that.

So I'm having a great game, not tunneling, not camping, not slugging, running a damned marathon across the map to let these guys unhook, hitting my axe throws, its a ton of fun.
I hook the third survivor for the third time. Great, still 5 Gens left, I'm going for the perfect game.
And then..... the last one escapes. For free.
No key, nothing, just.... gone.
You used to have to get 2 gens done to open the hatch.
What the heck is this god awful survivor pity party that we've got now?
So let me get this straight, they didn’t repair a single generator and you killed 3/4 and you’re wondering why the last guy isn’t stuck in the match to repair 5 generators by himself without an alternate means of escape? How would that be fair? What he’s just supposed to lay down And die for you because his 3 teammates didn’t do their part? Most of the time they get a few gens done and since you patrol the map more than survivors do you’ll have a better chance at finding the hatch before that 4th guy does. That allows you to hook the last guy near it or get to it and stomp on it before the 4th guy gets out. There is a bit of a delay after the 3rd guy dies allowing you time to get there.

You can abuse it. For example taking advantage of what amounts to be 1min of immunity to work on a gen without healing, and when the killer comes, jump in a locker.
As far as I'm concerned, if you feel safe enough to work on a gen without healing, I'm not tunneling. I'm just doing my objective.
i don’t think that’s abusing it at all . First of all it’s a perk and It’s supposed to benefit the survivor long enough to actually be useful. So what if he hops In a locker, just eat the stun 5s isn’t a lot of time to some of these killers that can catch up quickly or have good anti loop. Second of all, it’s a one time use even if they miss it. Third of all, you as a killer could be spending that minute keeping the other 3 survivors off a generator instead which is just as productive. One of which should be exposed for getting the hook rescue. Chase that guy. Also, that one minute is just enough time to get back on their feet. You could still be “doing your objective” By chasing other people. There have been plenty of times where I didn’t feel like that minute was long enough. It’s easy to wait out especially if you got the guy slugged. You’re just doing you’re objective tunneling, well, that’s the price you should pay for keeping someone pinned down to where they can’t do anything to help their team. 1 min gives People a chance to get back on their feet if that’s what they choose to do. Spend it wisely.

The entitlement in this post. The sheer, sheer entitlement. You don't want to get punished for getting in my face, making bad plays and relying on second-chance perks? You think it's okay to bodyblock with BT/DS/DH/Unbreakable? You want an easy game?
If you want to play like an arsehole, so will I. It's that simple. Get in my face because your effectively immortal and I will make sure you and your team dies. I don't care, if it's the right play I will make it. If a team comes at me with an OoO and 4 SB's, expect no mercy. You clearly have none.
I understand what you’re going through. After playing both sides there should be a pretty clear understanding that, as killer, you have to be mindful of everything you do too. Not just survivors. That’s what makes the game dynamic. Otherwise it would be a stale experience. Without survivor intervention during chases, the game just feels like you’re going through the motion. Surely you understand the game doesn’t revolve around you right? That there are four other people that want to do more than repair a generator all game. The killer can only chase one guy. What else are they gonna do, stop and stare while they’re waiting their turn to get chased? That’s not going to get you pip. If you think about it, denying a hook or prolonging the chases in any way give you more encounters/interactions with the killer which yields a better score for everyone, including the killer. But I mean, how HARD is it really to get a down? Is it really slim pickings out there for you guys? Why should it be paved out for you to down, pick up and hook without the possibility of any interruption? Just smooth sailing on over to that hook that happened to already be next to the down you just got. Would you look at that? Don’t even have to bring in putrid oak did you? They’re already around every corner for you.

Playing dirty. If someone wants to force a DS or BT, fine. They can't complain when I tunnel the now-weak link. Oh, what's that? You have 4 perks protecting your arse so you can make arrogant plays? Well, too bad I didn't respect them and casually tore them away bit by bit whilst juggling 3 people.
Bonus points if we all GG in the post game. We know what we did. We're bad people. All of us. Collectively.
I think you people are forgetting the fact that survivors get points / emblem rating for everything they do. Rather than be upset just understand they need to make those arrogant plays and irritating stuns to rank up. Idk why people expect zero resistance from survivors. What you’re demanding from the game sounds quite stale. that everyone spawns in and just holds down a button on a gen or runs in a straight line, misuses pallets. just lay down and die for you every game huh? No disrupting moves that make that particular match unique right? Nope.

Abusing DS - that’s hilarious. You can’t abuse a perk that’s a one time use even if you miss it 😂 it has its purpose and it’s to prevent you from preventing me from playing the game. You clearly have the entitled idea that you deserve quick easy downs and re-downs without repercussion. The game is trying to teach you to find new targets. That’s what separates good players from bad players 😂

For example: if I get blinded at a pallet, I will always tunnel them to death because there's no reason for it in my opinion.
There is a reason to have a flashlight ready to use at a dropped pallet. It’s to penalize or prevent (protect) the killer from breaking it. The additional stun from the blind after the pallet break animation also gives the survivor a chance to quite literally - break line of sight allowing for an easier escape from the chase. Though, I must agree it is rather infuriating from the killers perspective. But there is a purpose/reason for it. Also required for challenges.

Being stunned, blinded, unhooked unsafely, having teammates who draw the killer to you, having teammates who miss skill checks, having teammates who run so-called "meme builds", etc. are also not fun. But guess what? None of those things are bannable.
Killers are not there to make sure you have a good time. They're your opponent in this PvP game, just like the survivors are their opponents. Learn to take the losses as they come and look to your own gameplay to see what you did wrong.
I disagree with you when you say “learn to take the losses” for getting camped on because, It’s not about what he or she did wrong and learning from it if that guy only made one mistake and it cost him or her the match. Survivor-Killer interactions are what make the game fun/necessary to Pip. So getting caught once should NOT mean the end of the line for that person. Survivors can’t run the killer all game in one encounter! Loops aren’t that good in this game, not anymore.
so, Losing points don’t matter as a lot of these killers just don’t care. it really does ruin the game in the sense that not only is it sucking the fun out of the game but it also affects rank. So I believe face camping shouldn’t affect that survivors rank. Safety black pip should occur at the least. I am not saying killers can’t use camping as a tactic, but there need to be better methods to counter this type of behavior Whether it’s through a survivor perk or loss of bloodpoints AND Rank (as of now I think it’s only loss of one of those things)
p.s - by the way, I don’t mean counter using borrowed time. the killer is just going to be in position to grab animation you off the hook. I don’t know why people refuse to look at the fact that people are meant to get caught in this game, so why are people okay with things that shorten the number of interactions between the two sides? Mori’s and camping are the two biggest culprits coming from the killer side. Oh what, people will argue that keys shorten the killers experience? Oh you Poor killer...a key that he or she might not even be able to use even though he or she spent the same amount of money on it? That doesn’t sound right.

as long as it doesn’t apply to Mori’s or keys (green ones at least) lol

What image did they release? Where can I find it? I was always under the impression based on the tweet “bee pretty sweet” that it’s Candyman.

Interesting. For some reason, you heard me say there's a number of entitled survivors who believe escaping should be easy for themselves and immediately assumed I was talking about you even though my post would suggest I was talking about people who claim that gates should be on opposite sides of the map. I wonder why that is.
I didn’t assume you were talking about me. You’re talking about entitled survivors and I made the correction for you. survivors (other people who play survivor) don’t make it out as often as you think they do. there have been so many nerfs to loops, map size, nothing being done to Mori’s It takes a bad bad baaaaaad killer to let people escape.

Let’s face it, the once amazing Metal of Man, is now a meme perk 😂 The nerf was warranted, the perk was insanely good, but rn even with protection changes yah have to go out of your way to get the value. My proposed change, two ones actually
1- if you take a protection hit while already injured, then go into dying state, you get two stacks.
Or 2- Revert the old nerf, make it normal hits and increase it to 5 total hits.
my idea behind change 1 is since your going out of your way to get it, you should be rewarded for an extra stack
And for change two, perks where you have to go out of your way to get value make them non viable and forever niech. Changing it back would make it so players would have a slightly easier time using it.
overall rn using the perk is very fun and extremely rewarding when you get it to work, but it’s really not every game that you get the value. I would prefer Change 1 over Change Two, as it would be more fun IMO putting yourself at risk for being dead hook sooner.

Honestly, as killer I don't really mind the hatch that much. I consider it to be somewhat balanced. However, the problem that comes with it is a massive sense of entitlement amongst some survivors. The existence of the hatch seems to make them think they deserve an escape if all their teammates have died. I'm glad I haven't seen one of those "gates should spawn on opposite ends of the map to make it easier to escape after hatch is closed" threads in a while, but they were always ridiculous when they popped up.
Nah you’re wrong. Idk where you get this “entitlement” feeling when it comes to the hatch. In all my games playing red ranks I don’t see the hatch as a viable option a lot of the time. Good killers won’t let you go through it 😂 I usually head for an exit gate because the killer typically finds it first ( killers have a lot better of a chance to find it since they chase people all over the map)
this sense of entitlement is nonsense at this point. In the red ranks I don’t see myself escaping most of the time it simply doesn’t happen. Besides, it not even an essential part of Pipping. What angers me most is why killers get to run around tunneling with Mori’s ruining my Rank while people sit around and complain about dumb things like the hatch or keys which aren’t even guaranteed uses 😂 you might not even get enough gens done or get away from a hook long enough to use the Key you spent your 7000 bloodpoints on but here the killer is spending 7000 and getting consistent use out of it. Why is my money spent not being valued? Can they make Mori’s cost more or make them more rare? Survivors keep getting nerfed and those nerfs just get tucked away in a perk somewhere and it’s getting quite annoying. while killers get pure buffs with no takeaways.

Moris are literally offerings that you pay for with BP and need to hook survivors at least once to use it on them. The hatch will spawn and open for the last survivor 100% of the time, no matter what they did during the trial. I agree that the hatch is needed, but don't pretend Moris are "free" like people are too stupid to know the difference.
They are free kills because it’s not hard to Mori someone when you can just hook the guy, walk away or hide somewhere and come back for an ez down and Mori 😂 this game already isn’t fun getting tunneled for 3 hooks and Mori’s just make it so much more of a desirable tactic to tunnel someone instead of hunt new targets. Healing, hook rescues, having another chance to survive instead of staring at yourself on a hook all game are just blatantly obvious desirable parts of the game for everyone to get their share of the experience. If ONE person (the killer) has the ability to just knock someone out without them being able to do anything about it to defend themself doesn’t seem right. DS doesn’t matter it doesn’t counter Mori 😂 BT isn’t always effective especially high mobility that can zoom across the map to pick off the freshly unhooked survivor. It’s just not really designed to be an enjoyable experience
technically the hatch is not a free escape then because the survivor evaded the killer long enough to get out. I don’t like people whining about being killer because it’s already easy enough as it is. In the high ranks rarely do you see bad killers. And when I do see one I swear it has to be someone that’s brand new to the game or just has no awareness due to no headset or maybe perks. P
-
You view this as a FREE survive when killers are getting FREE kills via Mori’s? Wow. Why do people insist on nerfing survivors into the oblivion? This game is becoming very unfun.

Huntess: Look behind you, learn to juke
Doctor: Don't be greedy, drop/vault early. His shock in chases is literally identical to his old version
Nurse is so difficult to properly learn to the point of shutting down all the loops, that they frankly deserve the hit. Dead Hard also completely ######### her
huntress: no the hitbox is too big. I can record the times I’ve seen a hatchet fly into the top left corner of the screen and my guy goes down. But my point was, they don’t need 3 iri heads when they don’t have to earn them. Oooh you paid for them. Psssh. Yeah but survivors can’t reload their ultra rare items somewhere? Yeah okay.
doctor: a good doctors not gonna let you drop the pallet at all in time to cut him off 🤣 The stun lasts too long. He’s got really good anti loop no matter the excuses you try come up with.
nurse: but it’s still possible to be An unavoidable hit. That’s my point. Is that there’s not a lot you can do sometimes.

So mr. smart guy, Explain to me how if someone hook farms you and you get downed before you can even move, how are you supposed to combat that? Hell sometimes its not even the teammates fault, because trashy killers can use pig, Ghostface, wraith, demo, insidious etc to have be right next to the hook and noone knows it. Ds will buy you 60 seconds of being slugged. I'm a great looper and if a killer plays like a camping tunneling douche you won't be able to keep it up for 5 gens unless they're the worst killer ever
Yeah I agree. There are a lot of times you can’t really do anything to defend yourself in this game as survivor. DS doesn’t always really do anything to keep you in the game 🤣 a one time 5s stun isn’t much at all if someone’s tunneling you. BT? Nah, that’s not gonna do anything if it’s a silent killer. Even then, you’ll get slugged. Fun fun fun! Yet killers complain they need more 🤦🏽

@KingFrost said:
Hey, Killers who complain about Gen Rush. How are you still getting gen rushed. Surely if you're getting gen rushed every game you should be learning to apply pressure the majority of the time. So whya re you so bad at applying pressure that you still end up losing all five gens?
They’re hiding in the basement with an insidious Bubba waiting for someone to loot a chest. Or maybe just straight up face camping because they didn’t like getting denied a hook from a flashlight save or body block. No pressure, no problem lol
-
A good Huntress, Doctor and Nurse won’t let you loop them at all. There’s no mindgaming. It’s all in the killers control with those guys if you’re good. People go down. Killers aren’t that difficult to play yet people whine 😂 then they buff. There’s the Unjustified doctor buff. Huge Disregard for the fact that huntress doesn’t need 3 iri heads lol Still no word on those darn Ebony Mori’s.
listen, I main Plague, one of the lower tier killers and still do fine against red rank survivors. and this is on console. If any side needs help it’s survivor in terms of making it more enjoyable. What better way to fix DC problems than adding a DC penalty rather than making it more fun by .... well... idk maybe not making RIGHT BUMPER literally used for every interaction in the game 😂

@CosmicParagon said:
How are you still getting caught? Surely if you're being tunneled every other game you should be in chases the majority of the time. So why are you so bad at looping that you still end up dying?
Is this a serious question? You do realize that in this game certain killers have really good anti loop. Almost nothing you can do about it. Regular Loops are a lot weaker now. God loops are gone. Maps are smaller. All of this benefits the killer 🤣 it always benefits the killer with each passing update. Survivor nerfs just get tucked away in a perk somewhere. You know it’s true. Also, DS working as an anti tunnel perk doesn’t always give you enough time either imo even if you manage to get it off on a bad killer who clearly isn’t taking it into consideration. Ppl have typically resorted to slugging anyways. Sucks because this game is more fun to be killer than survivor. Games go by too fast and there typically feels like there’s not enough fun moments.

Well I saw a tweet that said “it will bee sweet”
that implies it could be candyman. Since candy is sweet and he’s full of bees.

Anyone that says campers lose their emblem or BP by face camping, and that's punishment enough for this behavior, you are mistaken. Obviously the people doing this don't care those points or that emblem. Why would they? They will still net just as many points as the survivors, because Killers have an easier time racking up BP, and may even safety pip, depending on how quickly they caught that first survivor into the match or if someone tries to save. There needs to be a much more significant deterrent. And the survivor being victimized should automatically safety pip.
Yeah if you’re camped on it should safety pip. That’s unfair to the survivor. Why are There so many people defending face camping to the tee 😂 it’s nuts. For 1) how is that fun for you? You’re worried about 1 kill? Really? It works a lot better when you down and hook multiple people. You’re not going to do that just standing there. If you’re aware someone’s nearby why are you standing there doing nothing 😂 why is that 1 hook so important to defend? I don’t understand this mindset. Nor the disposition that these people don’t deserve harsher losses in BOTH bloodpoints and EMBLEMS. Not just emblems. A lot of people don’t care about emblems. I’ve noticed that a lot. Even for high ranks. People are content with purple and it affects red rank survivors. Besides there no reward system for rank so DONT tell me emblem penalties are sufficient. They’re not. It’s just deflating as a survivor knowing killers get paid more for doing nothing 😂
i play killer too, it’s not that serious, I might patrol the are but never am I gonna stand guard. I think especially since maps have gotten a little smaller, plenty of killers have mobility. So what’s the point? Why are they not being punished enough for being useless and not doing their job? Why didn’t you queue up as a survivor if you didn’t intend on preventing everyone from escaping? That’s what you signed up to do. So do it.

The Killer loses points and, frequently, lets Survivors escape by camping.
What more punishment do you want? Do you want them to lose BP out of their BP bank? De-level? Uninstall the game?
The flat out truth, no sarcasm, no instuls, is thus:
There WAS a stronger punishment in matches for camping, and Survivors abused it for an unfair edge. Devs realized that any proxcimity-based bonus, or punishment, would be likewise abused in the same way; by keeping the Killer as close to the hook as possible, or forcing a free unhook.
So they added a loss to the Emblems and called it a day. There was not much more they CAN do. Killer's lose points if they camp.
Now, the tooltips COULD point this out, if someone happens to be camp-heavy 'Camping the hook may get you a kill, but it could cost you the game!' or 'When you stay near a hooked Survivor, you loose BP'.
But they can't really implement anything stronger. There is just noting TO implement. The Killer already:
- Loses BP. As in, it drains a bit as the 'chaser' emblem goes down.
- Can cost himself the match
- And can depip
What else is there to do that would not be bloody overkill?
Bloodpoints aren’t affected only emblems. They are two separate things.

And Survivors feel the game is 'meant' to be played in so many ways that it's not worth thinking about.
If the Killer does not confirm a kill, he loses in under 5 minutes. But sure, the Killer losing fast is how the game's 'meant to be played' because it's Survivors winning.
If the Killer hooks you, and someone comes to save you; that's one less person doing gens. And one more person walking into his arms to be hooked. That is, 100% how the game is meant to be played.
All this 'meant to be played' and 'it's not fair' arguments are bullshit. It all boils down to 'Play the game the way I demand.' It's that stupid Survivor's Rulebook For Killers:
Don't camp. Don't slug. Don't tunnel. Stay 50 yards away from all hooks at all times. Walk into pallets to be stunned. Etc. Etc.
YOU don't get to decide 'how the game's meant to be played'.
And as long as 2-3 generators pop in my first chase; I'm staying near that hook, because some whiny Survivor will try for an unhook, and that reduces gen pressure by half, if not more.
It's called 'playing the game as it was meant to be played'.
Of course, it's usually Survivors running D. Strike, B. Time, D. Hard, And Adren who screech like parrots that I'm 'playing bad' or 'unfair'. Because only SURVIVORS are allowed to play hard. If a Killer tries to get more than 2 kills, it's 'Why so tryhard?' and '2 kills is enough!' 'Tunneler', 'Camper!' and 'Sweaty Killer main'.
I am not 'Chaser' I am 'Killer'.
And this ain't freaking 'Boo! Haunted House' where you get a ticket after leaving and told to come back soon.
The bottom line is camping is a valid strat.
Camping also punishes itself and needs no more punishment unless you're freaking salty and feel entitled to 'not lose unfairly' because someone did not play by your 'rules'.
And I am GD sick of Fully-kitted Survivors screeching like insane banshees that I'm not 'playing fair' while they run every second chance perk and think that's not a problem.
Grow TF up, accept that sometimes you lose and there's nothing you can do about it. Screaming that it's an 'unfair loss' when the devs themselves have said it's valid, is something small children and insane sports parents do.
You still have not yet grasped the entirety of my standpoint here. I keep saying “DO WHATEVER YOU WANT” as killer. I have no problem you camping. You have that right. But what I am saying is that you should be penalized more for that. How is that saying it’s an unfair loss or trying to get any of you to pity me lol I’m not... It’s not how it’s meant to be played though therefore harsh penalties need to be present in the case that it is being played that way. I don’t understand how people get rewarded with 27K for playing so poorly is what I am saying. What I am complaining about. Your reward does not match your work or effort. That is a problem. killers that work harder Are gettting rewarded the same. Killers that are lazy should get significantly less. It’s about fairness.

This. I'm not even against camping in a sense that you're in the same area. Even if I can still see you, fine, but when you are trying to morph your body into the hooked survivor you're still close, there needs to be a much harsher penalty. These people shouldn't be in red/purple ranks, *at the very least.*
Exactly. Like I said DO whatever you want as killer. But there’s not enough reason to discourage this type of behavior. The current points lost, whatever system they have in place for it isn’t enough. Hell, why in my picture that I uploaded does the killer have 27K BP with only 2 kills that he camped on the whole match?

If the game isn't fun, you can stop playing. Nobody's forcing you to stick around.
Look, I came in to agree with the post that harsher penalties need to be installed. That’s it. You can do whatever you want as killer. But if I see you’re getting rewarded more than me at the end of the match, especially if I’ve done a good share of the work on the survivor end of things, that’s an issue imo.

Gens to protect from whom? Your teammates were right there, is the killer supposed to pretend he doesn't see them?
well don’t just stand there 😂 look all I’m saying is, within a certain proximity of a hooked survivor harsher penalties should be inflicted upon the killer post match. Not only emblems but bloodpoints. If you just stand there and do nothing even though you blatantly see another survivor, well then chase them! Is it that serious you feel the need to ensure the hooked guy stays there? You have another target right in front of you 🤣 look I don’t care. All I’m saying is harsher penalties please :) I’m not getting any points sitting here on a hook with you nearby and my experience is getting affected so therefore yours should too. It’s only fair.
