Just play ghost face, he can stalk through anything. 😏

On a serious note, no thank you. I agree corn is a biatch as a killer, but if you could eliminate the corn, there would be several maps with huge open space, beyond the ridiculousness of usual dead space. Not all maps are meant to be optimal for every killer.

Exactly. Killer players complain about literally everything that doesn’t lead to easy downs. How would that be fair while you still hold on to your ebony Mori’s every game? That’s not fun for the individual playing survivor. 😡😡😡😡

  • @maximizer12 said:

Getting a corn map while playing any short or stalker killer is an immediate bad time. Stalking doesnt work when they run through corn so no marking or evil within . I posted about it before but why not introduce a mechanic where running over tall grass and corn crushes it so its no longer there. At least when in chase the survivor cant stop and hide from the killer.

While this actually sounds Reasonable in the sense that it’s a more realistic approach, It’s purpose is to break line of sight. That’s what survivors are supposed to do. Survivors should be given the opportunity to prevent evil within or ghost faces stalk ability. It already charges super quick unless you have infinite. Idk why you feel you deserve quick easy downs. Besides that’s the trade off running through corn is that survivors don’t have walls or vaults or pallets out there. You’re faster than them so what’s in it for the survivor? Sure farm gives an advantage to survivors unlike the other maps. But there are also some maps that seems more killer sided when it comes to silent killers like meat plant. jump scare Myers in particular. You gotta understand that balance is key. You can’t just have everything be in the killers favor. Survivors have to be able to break lines of sight. L

I hate playing this game now because everyone just crouches around the map and throws pallets down right away which is not how the game is supposed to be played and is often not fun. I usually die on my first hook because my teammates don't save me even after I have saved them over and over again. This sucks.

    Lol this too funny.

For 1) in this game, to make it to red ranks as a survivor, the only requirement is to be committed to playing the game. That’s all it does, it shows commitment not skill.

for 2) depending on the killer, some are OP and you have to throw the pallet down early. Especially since some have add ons that charge up their ability really fast and the game doesn’t give the survivor a chance. Oh... then they gift killers with ebony Mori’s to put in their offering slot too making Your one life, your one opportunity to play with the killer more valuable than the pallet you just wasted. It was worth it. People want to enjoy playing the game, id say survivor is more frustrating looking at it from a solo perspective. Therefore people don’t think about how their actions affect their teammates if it means saving their tail a little longer. Personally I think this game is too killer sided especially with this next update where map size gets smaller, loops get taken away. Who knows if they’re doing anything about Mori’s. More often than not I have fun playing killer more than survivor. That part seems unbalanced to me. Seems consistent that my fellow survivors have no idea what’s going on yet they’re still somehow red and purple ranks. I think it’s rather frustrating that survivors don’t have to actually escape to pip and they don’t make it more possible. I don’t want to die every game because certain killers have more of an advantage and are more commonly used than others. And they show consistency with winning Because they have good anti loop or too much mobility. I can tell you certain killers like Plague and clown need help. I think killers camp or tunnel those hooks too hard as well. Also, playing with randoms you should run Kindred as a lot of people might not know who’s doing the rescuing.

It takes a decent amount of time to set uo a trap. Also he cant carry that many traps so he have to waste ALOT of time with collecting traps and setting them up. If survivors are smart they wont step in traps that easily.

but who’s running an anti trap perk when he hides them in good spots to see that? A good trappers going to use whispers to give him the info someone’s nearby anyways.

  • Whoa definitely not. Trapper is one of the better killers. He’s anti loop. He Trap loops, Traps vaults, he’s fast. Noooooo. Clown and plague need a buff.

Wait wait wait, hear me out for a second here.

Before you scream entitled Survivor main, or call me every word in the urban dictionary, please hear me out.

I have reason to believe playing Killer is easy for the time being, and yes I know how absurd that sounds. But please, like I said, hear me out. (If you don't want to read the text-wall, I added a tl;dr)

I've been gone for a couple week's hiatus from DBD and I finally came back to play with Deathslinger a while ago. A while back I thought that playing Killer would have me sweating every game, since that was my experience prior to today. Which is why I took that break because I couldn't take playing DBD anymore.

But when I came back, obviously I was lower ranked but the survivors I faced just felt... Easier. Playing Killer felt more like a breeze, even in Green and Purple ranks where I feel the survivors there are more brutal than the survivors in Red Ranks. I even got a chance to try out and succeeding with killers I don't normally play as including Legion and Oni.

That is not to say playing Killer itself is easier, it's just that I think the skill level of Survivors are getting worse overtime. I noticed this too whenever I play solo Survivor. My teammates tend to either leave me to die on a hook because they need to self-care, or they do risky saves without Borrowed Time. It's getting rather frustrating to see someone tap a gen knowing full well the killer has Pop Goes the Weasel and is about to hook another person. It's like my teammates cannot preserve pallets and make easy deadzones for killer to down you with.

These survivors are becoming more and more common, even people who use OoO in SWF teams feel like they're getting easier to deal with. And no I'm not talking out of my butt, I've faced multiple survivors with OoO who suspiciously look like they are in-comms (going for saves the moment I chase someone indoor, or working on generators far away from the obvious spots they would normally look out for, heck even coordinate on where my Hex totems are.)

There are times of course when I feel like my teammates are competent, last game I had as Survivor someone with Unbreakable helped turned a 4k NOED win for the killer to a NoK all escape win for the Survivor. That's brilliant. And that is the kind of plays I would expect in the rank I am usually in (Rank 6). But those times are very few and far between.

Take this game as me as Ghostface for example. I got looped for 4 minutes because the window and pallet spawns were not in my favour and the Feng Min who ran me around knew how to use it effectively. I had the sunk cost fallacy and just said "Screw it, if I am getting a kill it's from this Feng Min."

But this is the end result instead:

    https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/431/CGAMYLKUCRBD.png

4k. I hardly believed it myself. And this wasn't because I was a godly Ghostface, I actually got looped for 4 minutes yet I still got a 4k. Because her teammates didn't do any generators. They followed her around trying to rescue her to get unhooked. They fought with each other in the endgame chat but I didn't censor their names and I'd rather not be banned on the Forums.

With that said, I can see why Killer is still stressful for a lot of people. It does demand you to split your attention between 4 Survivors and be able to keep track of all of them. Not to mention with the added pressure of generators popping left and right which doesn't help with your mentall psyche when playing as Killer.

But. Right now I think Killer is easy purely because the Survivors themselves, or at least Survivors in the Western Australia region are not as good as their rank should be. I mean I literally just got off a game as Legion where I double pipped against a 2-man SWF with OoO (I know it's 2-man because those two simultaneously gave up and let me down them.)

    https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/715/KJ9LSV6ZT7Z7.png

And I suck at Legion. I missed a lot of my Feral Frenzy swings that game.

    TL;DR

I think Survivors are not able to keep up with Killers in rank. Both from my experiences as a Solo Survivor and a Killer. I know rank doesn't mean anything, but the fact this is becoming so common is making me concerned about the kind of players Survivors that are becoming common in high ranks. I'm not asking Survivors to git gud or get better immediately, that would be unreasonable. But I do hope this isn't becoming more common, because the challenge of playing Killer is to juggle 4 Survivors at once. It's a 4v1. Not a 1v1v1v1v1, which is what it feels like.

I'm not making this thread to incite hate or antagonize anyone. But I am mainly concerned the kind of survivors I play with and fight against are making the other side easier than it should be. The challenge is gone when the survivors do suicide hook dives and continually run into you.

I hope you'll understand where I am coming from, I don't think playing Killer itself is easy. As it is hard to pick up on the go, especially when you do meet up with survivors who know what they are doing. But right now, at least in the WA Region, I feel like Killer is not as hard as it should be.

And ppl think survivors need a nerf or killers need a buff 😂😂😂

  • You’re a new killer. Nooooo killers are super OP atm. Maybe some of them need buffs, but not trapper 😂😂😂😂

  • @GoddamnBananas said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1228629#Comment_1228629

And if they immediately suicide on their first hook, report them, since that's almost as bad. More importantly, suicides are far less frequent than DC's used to be. It's a fact that people stick around for the majority of a match far more often than they used to, and that's a good thing.

Report them lmao. That might be the most childish thing I’ve ever heard. First of all, the game shouldn’t be like this to begin with. Rather than taking the easy way out installing DC penalties and As much as you want to blame the person hook suiciding or quitting it can better be resolved by implementing other solutions via in game changes to make people feel like they have more of a chance. I’m not saying hey killers don’t camp those hooks, because by all means go ahead you have every right to do that if you want to. But this game doesn’t need to give them more of a reason to other than their own interest. My big thing is, Mori’s are just insanely feeding into That kind of behavior from killers. It’s kind of ridiculous when you think about something like that being a small component in someone’s load out pre game but having such a big impact in game. It’s not “ultra rare” but rather “common” as it shows up in literally every bloodweb level. I played 10 games straight as survivor just recently and my findings are that 8/10 of those games the killer had an ebony Mori. That’s just ridiculous. I don’t think it’s that serious. That’s all they have to put in that slot to help them gain an advantage but survivors don’t have that same treatment in their offering slot do they? They have add ons, killers have add ons. Except survivor add ons are one time use like the brand new part, killers add ons last the whole game. How is that balanced ?

  • @GoddamnBananas said:

Yeah, I'm gonna call b.s. There is almost no excuse to DC, period. If you chose to go into a game with 4 other people, to essentially ruin the experience of everyone else there because your feeling for hurt, is just plain pathetic, regardless of which side you play. Do you want to go back to the days when Survivors DC'd immediately when they saw Legion and Killers DC's as soon as Ruin got popped? I'd rather play a flawed, semi-toxic, but full match than wait forever to find a game, only to have it be over before it really began because someone was upset.

There’s no excuse to DC sure, but they can still hook suicide. It literally doesn’t matter when it comes to your teammates. You can still make an early departure by hook suiciding. Better than getting Mori’d :)

  • @LALYTHIA said:

    Survivors, just suicide.

    On to the next.

Yeah but the game shouldn’t be like that. That’s not fun for your team. The point of DC ban is to Prevent people from giving up right? Well it’s not doing a good job of that if people can still find a way out. Therefore they should not be there. Because it’s only making people want to play the game less. It actually has a more negative impact on the game than it does positive. Don’t you see this? What killer gets to have his kill? That’s the benefit from no DCs? Eh...

Not only did I have to deal with the god loop in Rancid Abattor AND a SWF, but then I had the dcing for the hatch. Black pipped, though I would have pipped with one more hook. Didn't the devs say something about husks or something when somebody dc's? I know the dc timers were put in place for this, but it doesn't seem to have done anything.

Can we please do something about ebony Mori’s ?

  • The fact that people DC in your game should tell you something’s not working where people are actually enjoying the game enough to stay. It’s unfortunate. They need to rework some of the stuff to prevent DCing rather than enforce penalties. It’s just the overall lack of keeping people interested is my issue.

  • @tippy2k2 said:

I'll say basically the same thing here as I did in there...

DCing is bad. You shouldn't DC. That being said, I can understand someone DCing without condoning it.

If a killer is just being an ######### at the end and making you lie there to bleed out, I understand why someone would get frustrated and leave. If a group of survivors clearly outmatch a killer and do everything in their power to flaunt and taunt them, I understand why they would get frustrated and leave.

I can both be against DCing but understand that someone doesn't want to throw away their precious free time going up against opponents hellbent on making the time as miserable as humanly possible.

I don’t think DC Penalty’s are a solution though. People can just hook suicide. It’s not fun playing survivor getting Mori’d or slugged. I get the competitiveness to win, but I think they need to give survivors a better way to defend themselves. I’d DC or hook suicide if I knew killer Had Mori. This isn’t fun.

  • I think green ones can be necessary and give you that slight advantage, but ebonys are just excessive. It’s an offering. I don’t think that anything that makes up a small portion of your load out should have that much of an impact on the game.

  • This game just isn’t fun for either side. When I play killer it’s always body blocking flashlights in my face constantly with ridiculous survivor movement 180s 😂 its frustrating

As for survivor. The ebony Mori’s. It’s just not necessary. There’s gotta be another way to give survivors more playing time without impeding on the killers chance to win. So you’re telling me I queued up for a match to get thrown on a hook, pulled off and fast mobility killers or invisible wraiths just wait for the unhook and down and Mori without me being able to defend myself with DS or whatever? How is that fun? How is that even fair? I don’t see keys in my games as often as Mori’s. Are you sure they’re ultra rare?

  • I think certain killers are just too difficult to play against for solo play that people do their builds around solo play leaving out much needed team efficiency perks. but they don’t need to nerf Swf. I envy those people. Killers in high ranks just ransack smaller maps and those that are medium size still prove difficult due to high mobility killers. Gens just don’t get done in solo tbh. And it’s starting to get frustrating. Nerf survivor this, nerf survivor that... eh. I think it’s time to move on to another game. You hand ez downs to killers and their ebony Mori’s just further depress people trying to enjoy playing survivor. I didn’t realize I paid money and keep paying money for a game where killer just gets to have his way with his opponent. However, there are certain killers that I think need help. Clown, plague are two of them.

  • @gatsby said:

Make a 21m Bond effect part of the base kit. SWFs don't get this benefit.

Bond, the perk, would be slightly reworked to this:

Unlocks potential in one's aura-reading ability.

While playing solo, the range you can detect allies' auras is boosted by 5/10/15 metres.

While playing with friends, allies are revealed to you when they are within a range of 20/28/36 metres.

    Nonsense.

  • @ClickyClicky said:

Massively. Can’t play survivor anymore as its always the same #########. Killer gets hook, sits around hook and wins. No effort required.

Blame it on the survivors if you want but either way its the same result.

Meanwhile if you’re the first one chased thats it. You’ll never get away from the hook. You’ll be tunneled the moment you’re unhooked in almost every single game.

Killers constanty running their most oppressive builds too and moris in like a third of all games vs team of random solos with no items. Why so tryhard?

It was just depressing. Having to sweat your ass off every game and never managing to escape as people just dived at the Deathslinger camping the hook. If by some miracle you did get the gens done then hears NOED to screw you over because apparently nobody else could do a single totem.

Maybe once the update hits killer might be worth a try but before that it was just survivors running to the same god loops over and over and over again every game then having a massive ego about how good they are because they could vault ironworks, run around and vault it again. So skilful..

Yep. Hook one guy, circle around maybe pretend you left until someone unhooks, Go back down the guy again, Mori. Next. Pssshh... why do people complain about keys if we don’t even get to use them as much as Mori’s? I feel so bad for the people that came in and ran the killer and fought hard to stay alive and then they don’t get another encounter with the killer other than a Mori animation. Nobody got to heal that guy. Nobody got to potentially unhook him again to get more points. That’s just not fun. Then they ban you for leaving when you can just hook suicide anyways.

  • It’s not fun playing survivor. I think the issues on survivor side with being able to enjoy the game is seeing a damn Mori in every single game. How come they are so common? How come they are even in the game? I don’t think killers need them. I’ve counted 6 games in a row today killers brought in an ebony Mori. Now that every version of the game is running DC penalty’s I think killers are just unloading ebonys. But why do they have so many? 😡 how are they ultra rare offerings? Why do I struggle to find keys in my bloodweb? Not only that but it’s not even guaranteed I get to use it like the killers ebony Mori’s picking people off one by one tunneling.

  • @matchmakingworksfine said:

For the past 2 days I've had some of the most unfair matches I've ever played as killer. Between the "immersed survivors" hiding and holding the game hostage for 30 minutes and the 4 man swf with flashlights tbagging this game is in an incredibly toxic state on ps4. The worst part is. Because of the terrible matchmaking on ps4 these are fought at almost every rank. I'm sorry for any killers on ps4 that are going to have to deal with the toxic players that I otherwise would otherwise have to deal with. Until the next patch I'm taking a break from this game. I do appreciate the devs for trying to restore this game to the glory it originally was. I love this game and have loved it for the past 2 years but now its just too much.

unfair? What about the people that do what they’re supposed to do on these maps that have zero hiding and just get Mori’d? Where are these survivors that hold the game hostage? Imo it’s probably a protest to make you quit. Killers are safe to use their ebony Mori’s now that people can’t quit without a dc penalty. It’s hard to have fun as survivor when you get your game cut short by something that shouldn’t be there in the first place so why not hide. Why not make the killer suffer?

  • @Zagrid said:

Going away from all the problems DbD has right now I wanted to create a sort of fan made update that adds 1 more mori to every killer so far. Just an idea I had and I doubt many of these will be any good but we will see.

Trapper: He sets down a trap infront of the downed survivor, then drags their head over it. The survivor resists but the trapper puts his foot on there head inching it closer to the trap until, SNAP.

Wraith: Wraith takes his weapon and reaps a slice down the survivors back, reaches in and pulls out their spine, then replaces it with his weapon (This one could only work for weapons with the spine as the handle)

Hill Billy: Takes his chainsaw and slices the survivors feet, as they try to crawl away using their hands he does the same to them. Writhing in pain the survivor goes limp as Billy takes his weapon and delivers a bone shattering smack to their skull.

Nurse: Nurse grabs the survivor's shoulders, begins to scream in their face as you see her blink upward. She holds the survivor then drops them to their death, as she gracefully floats back down (This mori can only work in an open area)

Huntress: Huntress flips the survivor over onto their back and takes a chop at their leg to prevent them from moving, Then she backs up and throws her hatchets at them laying on the ground. One lands on their chest, the other their arm. They scream in pain, as they look back at the huntress the 3rd is a head shot.

Doctor: The doctor laughs maniacally as the survivor begins to look around they see 2, 4, 10, an ever increasing amount of doctors all laughing, then they each taking their... punishment sticks... idk. And stab, smack, and beat the survivor until they stop moving. However, in fact the real doctor was just standing, watching as the survivors own madness consumed them.

Hag: The hag draws a strange symbol around the survivor. Once it is completely hands resembling the hags come out of the ground and drag the survivor downward, the last thing you see is there arm sticking out as this portal closes.

Myers: Taking inspiration from the 2018 movie. The survivor looks around on the ground unaware of where the shape went, they roll over onto their back and look behind them... no sign of him. In relief they lay back down. Only to see him staring down at them. And in one strong stomp crushes their head.

Leatherface: He picks the survivor up getting uncomfortably close to their face. Looks at it a bit, then tosses them on the ground. Then all you can see is him revving the chain saw, slicing at the ground unassumingly at the survivors face, then he picks up some bits of skin, puts it in his pocket, and kicks the survivor onto their front. (Unfortunately, because of the no decapitation or changing of player models you have to hide the survivors face)

Pig: The survivor crawls along the ground trying to escape. The pig leans down next to their head, reaches for the timer on their reverse bear trap and rips it off. Then you hear the beeping go from slow to fast then SNAP. Then the signature puppet laugh plays. (Requirement that the survivor already has a helmet on their head, active or not)

Freddy: Walks up to the survivor looking menacingly the survivor turns over trying to crawl away. Then the camera leaves the dream world So all you can see is the survivor crawling away, then 4 distinct cuts cross their chest as they scream, and go limp as Freddy laughs.

Thats all for now. The rest of the killers are fairly up to date, but when I have some more time to think about it I might do a part 2 so every killer can have a second mori. I also wanted a few to be conditional so if you are in the right condition that one will play instead of the base one to spice it up a bit.

And these animations activate after hooking every survivor once right? Mori’s need to be removed or nerfed. Also, why do killers get more points after they’ve morid someone after hooking just once? They shouldn’t reward killers for using Mori’s.

  • @Respectfulnancymain said:

When a killers toxic its because "they had a few bad games" i have seen that excuse thrown around on the fourms and it just dosent make sense. Why try to justify killers toxicity by blaming it on survivors?

By toxic i mean nodding your head while facecamping or playing insidous bubba with a mori

If your gonna reply please dont call me a survivor main (i play both sides equally) or mention my username (my names just a meme

You know what’s toxic is Mori animation spamming. Why can’t they just force killers to follow through once they started it?

  • Oooh a plague 😃 that’s my boo though. I love playing that killer she’s so much fun. Not the greatest - not top tier, but she’s fun.

  • It’s one escape. I mean.... talk about survivors being privileged this sounds pretty privileged thinking you deserve all 4K. I just Got into an argument with my friend over this and we want to enjoy the game together but we have opposing views on this game. I don’t think anyone has a right to anything in this game. You gotta think about it from a solo perspective too. I can’t be responsible for my other 3 teammates so I don’t know why there wouldn’t be an alternate escape if I did really well but my teammates got their butts kicked leaving the last guy to do 2/3/4/5 gens. That’s not fun nor is it possible. Ppl don’t like the idea of slugging the 3rd guy so 4th guy doesn’t escape well... Maybe rework the key so it spawns in a random chest every game but can only be used if your last alive or once all gens are done? And keep the hatch closed the whole game? They need to get rid of Mori’s. I don’t understand why survivors aren’t allowed to enjoy the game too. By enjoy the game I mean do more than hold down one button the entire game to escape. And here killers get to stay in the entire game racking up 20-30K bloodpoints every game going on chases, sweating balls, I don’t think the games slow enough tbh. And you can blame that on Mori’s and gen speed. Keys not really. Survivors still have to do all the work. Also killers walk around the map a lot so they can find hatch easily. Possibly before the last survivor does and just hook the 3rd guy near it. I’m pretty sure killers can stomp on the hatch before survivors get the prompt to exit through it (happens every time I’m standing on hatch with the killer he gets to stomp on it but I never get to hop in)

  • @AnnoyedAtTheGame said:

I've to write this down because this has to be the worst match I've ever been in on this game. I've had some bad matches but this was disgusting behaviour.

I've just had 2 survivors take the game hostage for 15 minutes because they refuse to do any object or anything other than creep around and avoid me on the PS4.

Just wow! I can't believe 2 players would intentionally take the game hostage refusing to do anything at all other than to troll me.

I've used the in game button to report both players.

I looked behind every rock, every locker and every corner of the game and it took me 15 minutes just to find one of the survivors hiding in a corner. As soon as I hit him he ran away so he was playing (wasn't afk),I chased, downed him and hooked him, he did straight away.

I then went looking for the hatch and closed it. I then went to both gates and put traps on both gates and went backwards and forwards until the other survivors set my trap off. I gave chase and hooked him.

I sent both players a message on the ps4 telling them I would be reporting them.

How can DBD allow players to take the game hostage for this long? I mean cmon.

How about they put a timer on you to find the survivors and if you don’t you lose? How are you going to blame the survivors? To be honest I think they need to slow down some of the killers ability to patrol gens so fast. If nobody wants to get caught because you’re running a Mori how are they to blame? How are survivors supposed to have fun with this game when they have such little opportunities to keep playing with tunneling, hook camping and moris? Maybe they’re not teamed up. Report them 😂 that’s childish.

  • But I agree with you on the hitbox issues. If I’m through the vault already I don’t see why the killer should be able to hit me but for some reason he still can. I’ve been one hit downed on the other side of the vault and that infuriates me 😡😡😡😡 it’s like I took the time during the chase to go through that and the killer doesn’t? Why put something in the game that one side has a disadvantage in during the chase and the other doesn’t?

my thing is, if I’m through the vault on the other side of it both feet on the ground and you can’t do the grab animation on me then why are you allowed to get the hit?

  • @McFisty_ said:

We have enough issues with the hit boxes in this game allowing killers to strike survs while on the other side of a window vault but allowing Gunslinger to reel in and strike survs through solid objects like walls is a joke. These are simple solid object mechanics we shouldn't have to deal with from a game over 4 years into development.

Death slinger actually has a glitch right now where upon being hooked a survivors camera switches to deathslingers in 3rd person and then you can’t be rescued. Your character looks as if he or she is in the fetal position on a hook and the option to unhook that person is disabled. the bleed out timer is disabled as well. So you just sit there until the end game timer finishes and you don’t die. But it also doesn’t show you escaped either. It just shows your survivor status icon at the end as the healthy status icon.

  • @johnmwarner said:

Seriously, stop with this nonsense that I wouldn't get hit with it if I didn't tunnel. Someone got unhooked I chased their HEALTHY savior, downed them with two hits, headed back to Pop a gen and see the person on the way so I down them, silly me I should have realized that it's literally easy enough to down survivors so quick that you still eat a DS.

Leave the timer at a minute, heck make the timer two minutes if you want, make it FIVE minutes but it automatically deactivates once someone else is hooked and I would support that change from both sides.

I think you proved a point here that doesn’t have anything to do with DS. The fact that killers can down people as fast as you’ve mentioned should be enough to realize there’s an issue with this game. They give killers way too potential to end games way too fast and when a survivor is trying to defend themselves the complaints start rolling in. You do realize it’s a perk meant to benefit that ONE survivor right? Why would it come with a downside of deactivating once someone else gets themselves hooked? That’s not his or her fault. Killers get hooks too ez they need to nerf these guys. Game after game it’s nothing but a DC penalty-locked in Mori and slug fest. That’s not fun.

  • What you can blame is what’s in the game and how it impacts people’s ability to have fun and stand a chance without wanting to give up or stop playing.

That's why I don't use moris, most good killers don't. I'm just fed up with survivor behavior. MY ENTIRE POINT REVOLVES AROUND THAT. I just want them to get it in their heads that this game, up until this upcoming patch, has been skewed too heavily to survivors.

what survivor behavior 😂 I don’t think you can blame them

  • Hits, hooks, downs, you need those. Mori’s give you too much of a short cut imo that people don’t get much out of the match. It needs to be removed 🤷‍♂️ Everyone loses out . Plus it’s just deflating to play Both sides. Keys aren’t as bad as Mori’s . 3 iri heads are unnecessary too

I can tell you're a survivor main who has never touched killer. Moris are a guaranteed safety pip or depip game. There's no point in using them other than to see what the kill animation looks like or if you've had a series of bad games and can manage to get at least two downs.

Nah, I play the worst killers to challenge myself and it’s still easy enough with some of the top tier killers. Mori’s aren’t balanced though. Nobody benefits from that. You don’t get pip for Mori’s lol you’re not filling all categories wth do you mean?

I'm getting tired of getting stuck in games where survivors do the most BORING possible things to win. It's literally hold M1, hold W, throw down all the pallets, god loop us, rinse and repeat. It's unfun, it's a survivor sided game, it's time for everyone to acknowledge this. The ONLY time it's killer sided is early ranks. Stop saying otherwise. If a killer gets to red ranks, it's because they're good. If a survivor gets there, it's mostly because they are good at mundane tasks. Be objective before you say it's killer sided. Play killer long enough to realize it's really not...please.

You literally contradicted yourself. You say it’s survivor sided game yet they have to do the most boring things possible to win. How is that survivor sided? Killers have ebony Mori’s, one hit downs, its Not fun for survivors to come in and be a part of your Mori montage. Nice bait.

  • remove Mori’s, Nerf keys (they can still open black locks though)

I think once a survivor is down to 3 gens an alternate escape route should always be made available granted they have the key for it. 3 gens is too ez for killers to patrol.

I do understand how they don't benefit, that's why I don't use them. I had a game yesterday that ended with a 3 man escape because I played fair (against a 4man swf mind you) and had them all on death hook.

As fair as I care keys shouldn't be allowed to open locks and the pink Mori should be removed.

I just don’t find this game very fun on both sides. I think they need to slow it down a bit. Keys should definitely be allowed to open locks but maybe Reworked so that they can open them after certain limitations have been met so the killer has a better chance at defending it. But the Mori’s are worse than keys. Way worse. It just rewards bad killers. I’ve seen ppl do really well without them. Depends on the killer type and player skill level. But keys are very necessary in the sense that they’re needed for when one way of escaping becomes impossible. There’s no match timer so why would you confine survivors to escape via repairing generators when due to killer mobility or proximity of gens they can’t get their job done. Where’s the pressure on the killer to do something other than patrol gens like a foot soldier? There is none. That’s why I think keys are necessary. Mori’s aren’t!

We all know that "how good" perks are is relative, but hot damn.

    They’re the worst 😂

Can someone explain this to me, why do survivors instandly lose any exhaustion they had after being hooked?

Yea that sounds okay to me. It gives survivors a chance of getting away with they’re exhaustion perk to prevent tunneling. I don’t think you realize how unfun this game is as survivor if you don’t have a chance to defend yourself against tunnelers and campers. This whole DC system is broken too in the sense that rather than make the game more enjoyable they force you to endure suffering. 😰

The debate about keys has never been to compare their power to Moris. It's better to look at keys as a game-ruiner rather than something powerful. It's like being downed next to the exit gate with DS, them getting mori'd.

Sure you got to play the full game, but you had a win right there and it was taken from you. At least if you get mori'd it's fairly early in the game.

What you don’t understand is that Mori’s don’t benefit anyone. Survivors need those hook rescues and heals and that negates all of that. How is that fun for their teammates? You wonder why ppl dc or hook suicide. And I don’t think DC penalties make sense in that regard. Ppl can just hook suicide. If they aren’t wanting to play anymore why do that to them? Why reinforce it by implementing DC penalties? I love the game but that’s not fun for anyone either

  • I’m sorry but I want my chance at playing the game and Mori’s impede on that more than a key. Especially when you consider the fact that killers have ez one hit downs. I think iri / infantry seems to be broken how strong that is.

The guy said “survivor brings a key, killer brings a mori” so yes I believe my response was relevant. But no I’m gonna have to disagree with you. Keys are not game ruiners at all 😂 if you look at it from a mathematical perspective 2/3 people escaping is realistically what they’re for. Which requires 3/4 gens to be done respectively. At most that’s a 40% objective reduction (2 gens) as opposed to Mori’s that’s a 67% objective reduction. (Two thirds or minus 8 hooks from 12 = 4 hooks total)

I play killer and survivor but over the past few days have seen more survivors DCing, have the

Survivors bring a key, killer brings a mori, survivor DC's.

Also noticed survivors being focused on or immediately downed are DCing again.

    Have DC penalties been reduced?

Mori’s are too strong 🤷‍♂️ don’t even compare them to keys. Keys offer an alternate escape route after doing nearly of your objectives still. Mori’s give killers too much of an advantage on their objectives by reducing 12 hooks down to 4. I don’t think the game is that broken for them without one. You know? I’ve seen killers put in the work just fine without them. Mori’s are overkill. And they should be addressed but they’re not.

i don’t understand the DC system. I don’t think it’s necessary. It only benefits the killer. My reason is because survivors can still hook suicide. Which is likely what I’m gonna do if he’s got one it’s just not fun only giving me one encounter with the killer and then he gets to have his way with me. The game for survivors isn’t very fun. Especially solo. Everything they’ve done recently is to benefit the killer. look at all of the recent patches.... 😡😡😡😡

75% of my matches are like this. It's frustrating, and discouraging. The +/-6 thing is a joke. I'm going to quote what someone else has said recently. Red should be paired with red and purple. Purple with purple and green. Green with green and yellow. Yellow with yellow and brown.

Or you can learn better tactics and win. Hag is middle tier anyways which is what I think you used? She’s good at cutting off hook rescueS and loops. But There are killers that need to be nerfed like the huntress and her 3 iri heads every locker reload. or just the ebony Mori’s :)

  • I don’t know why they haven’t done anything to help out survivors particularly solo play. It’s infuriating that they implement ban systems for a game that we can still just hook suicide. Which tells me the ban system is a killer buff 🤷‍♂️ It’s all I’ve seen recently. Iridescent hatchets/infantry belt. Mori. It sucks because I haven’t really had fun with this game as much as I have had games that are fun while playing survivor. The ratio is off to me. I don’t know why they hand bad killers ez victories 😂 oh wait.. they complain.

  • @EvilJoshy said:

On PC there is a lack of killers but no lack of survivors. Often it's the same thing but in reverse. A yellow killer against red ranks. oNly survivors have no remorse when it comes to bullying a killer.

bullying a killer... you need help. You’re given Mori’s, speed, ez one hit down abilities and you’re talking about getting bullied 😂 just improve your skill please.

  • @cipherbay_ said:

For the most part nearly everyone knows the game has been survivor sided, only ones i can say that disagree are the ones that only play survivor or play Iri Huntress every match to try and prove a point. Needless to say, killers have had the short end of stick since day one with how fast gens could be done, im not even sure how killers were able to get a 4k with the amount of god and infinite loops that were in the game, not to mention default fast vaults, non cooldown exhaustion, vacuum pallets, the list could go on. Now we are at a stage where the Devs are balancing the game by resizing maps and reworking items. How will this fair for veteran players and new players. Well.... Veteran players will dominate massively and 4k nearly every match because of their experience, its like giving someone who rides a Unicycle a bicycle. They have already seen the bad and the ugly, any further changes is just good or fair.

As for newer killers, they wont know the struggles it use to be, as for new survivors, they wont know what god loops or infinites are so they will learn with what they have. Veteran survivors who depended on such windows are going to be hurting because they have to adjust the most, those are the ones who you will most likely see in the threads posting "THIS GAME HAS GONE COMPLETELY KILLER SIDED REEEEE!!! I QUIT!! GIVE ME REFUND!"

    Cheers to the changes.

    #ClownBuff2020

the iri huntress needs a nerf . Not because she’s got a one shot hatchets, but because she’s got 3. the infantry belt makes it excessive. Especially combined with a Mori.

the game isn’t entirely survivor sided So please stop the protesting. I think some killers just need a buff. Others don’t. I think spirit, billy, nurse and even oni and definitely Freddy can apply good map pressure. pig and hag too but they’re like medium tier killers. Clown and plague need some love. Plague needs better add ons in my opinion. The incense is nice but that ultra rare seal is .... almost astonishing that it’s of ultra rare quality. It has more negative effects than it does positive. And even then the only positive effect from it I can gain more often from getting them myself or from forced pool of devotion cleanses.

As killer I don't have a big problem about about keys. It's hard to find the hatch and I always make sure where the hatch is. About morris they need a nerf. If you see mori in the match you know you are dead. Except you are Monto, No0b3, Ayrun or someone else. My opion is to make this able to use after 2 hooks

I don’t think it would be useful after two hooks. At that point you might be spending more time Mori animation than finding the final hook for that guy. You’re going to want to do it after the first hook, but after everyone’s been hooked once. That seems more reasonable. Killers don’t need to eat that DS stun anyways or take the BT stun. Just find another guy! It’s not hard but killers just want to throw someone out ASAP and that’s just not fun for the one guy. If your defense is “oh well that’s the killer just wanting to kill someone For a change. He’s tired of getting ran on. That’s the only way he has a chance” I don’t believe it for one moment 😂 I’ve seen high rank killers cut down on chase time because they’re good. Granted some of the loops are strong and gen speed can be atrociously fast, but that’s because either 1) certain killers need buffs like clown and plague.

    2) you just need to practice more. Some of the killers are really OP. High mobility killers create good map pressure. Also Get some map knowledge. You don’t need a damn Mori.

    I get this 100%

I absolutely hate it when a killer comes back for me or my team after they were just unhooked, and then they ignore me even when I go for the body block. Many killers also camp like you said making it that as soon as you're unhooked you're still dead.

I usually dont like saying they've got x amount of their objective done, because this changes as the game goes on. Early game it's harder for killer to complete their objective while it's easier for survivor. When there are less pallets, more people are injured because they don't heal or there are less gens to patrol, it becomes harder for survivors and easier for killers.

Regardless this is a poll based on your opinion, as well as others, so if you think Moris need to be removed that's fine by me.

Yeah it’s all good. It’s just how I feel you and everyone else probably won’t agree. I just don’t think keys and Mori’s should be treated the same . That’s why I say remove Mori but nerf keys. I think a second escape option should always remain an option. That’s how it is in F13. There are more “counselors” than survivors in that game and 5 ways to escape. Why should survivors be confined to one way of escaping? Why should 3 gen even be a thing when there’s no pressure on killer at that point other than to patrol 3 generators just a few feet apart each? That sounds broken. I remember in F13 there’s two cars, the cops, a TIMER that works against the killer Jason, and that you can just kill him 😂 so why would a second way of escaping come with a cost of bringing in an ebony Mori ? Why does he need that buff? The key is already set to only be usable once almost all the gens are done anyways. It’s not like they can just come in and take off. Nobody pips that way So keys already make sure you play the game first. Ebony Mori’s don’t. Nobody pips if you just kill the guy after one hook because they can’t heal that guy or unhook him again. We need those points. We need more chances than that. Now... if they slow down gens or give alternative objectives to slow the pace then I quite frankly don’t care if that is what it takes to remove Mori’s. I just think they speed the game up too much soetimes. Keys don’t. They still have to do the work 😂

AT LEAST MAKE MORIS USABLE AFTER EVERY SURVIVOR HAS BEEN HOOKED ONCE THEN ANY SURVIVOR CAN BE MORI’d. It would encourage Killers to go after other people

is there any way to change my vote? I think my vote falls more along the lines of “nerf Mori’s and keep keys the same” or rather, I don’t know if it’s actually much of a nerf. But making the killer hook everyone first seems more fair. Another effective method of Discouraging tunneling.

  • I think multiple options should exist for a survivor to get out. Otherwise it wouldn’t be fair as a killer can easily patrol and camp the exit and there’s no match timer so it’s not fair for the survivor. Also you gotta think, Mori’s don’t require much other than a down, hook and another down. Which is easy to get. All you have to do is act like you’re leaving and come back. If they’re high mobility like spirit, billy, a charged oni.. or just a undetectable hook camper like wraith or ghost face looking at a wall pretending to not pay attention being careful not to trigger spine chill listening for the audio cue, it’s just too easy for killers to get the down again. BT doesn’t work. You’re dead. It’s just not fun to cut people’s lives short in a game where they need more than one interaction with the killer.

now from the killers perspective I can understand the frustration with keys. But they’re only realistically usable when there’s 2/3 people alive. Even then they still have to do most of the generators anyways before even using the key. 4/5 gens have to be done. That’s 80% of your objectives done. Killer needs what.... one hook? So 12 hooks has been reduced to 4. That sounds like a 67% objective reduction. Survivors get at most 40% objective reduction with 3/5 gens to be done while still having 2 people left. Enough said. Killers have to do less to use their ultra rare and it’s just an offering. With Survivors it’s an item. And that’s all they have. Where are the survivors ultra rare offerings? Killers got both.

1 … 3 4 5 6 7 … 13
