I can't stress enough how easy it is to ruin a survivor's game by remembering their name and then playing extremely toxic the next time you play against them. The survivor can't even check who they're playing against so why is it fair the killer can see them?
I think killers shouldn’t be able to see you at all 😂 why should they get to see you but you can’t see them? They get to see what items you bring in but we don’t know they’re bringing in an ebony Mori. I deserve the right to know that before I go into a match so if I disagree with that I can play somewhere else before I get locked in to a match with a camping Mori’ing killer. 🤷♂️ That’s not fun for me. I think survivors should get equal treatment pre game
-
What makes this game fun is killer - survivor interactions . I use the word “interactions” in the plural form. That’s because I’m hoping each match I get more than one interaction. I didn’t queue up to see the killer once and die. And this is happening too often. Particularly from hook campers and people that bring in ebony Mori’s. It destroys the game. Just do gens isn’t what I came in the game to do. I want to play 🤷♂️
please consider the things I have mentioned above because they are real feelings towards this game. Campers/baiters and ebony Mori’s need to be addressed.
-
I just want to enjoy the game. It’s hard to enjoy it when killers do that. I just wish they penalized them more for being near a hook 🤦🏽 At least make me feel good about sticking around. You’re lucky I’m teamed up and I like these guys because hook suicide seems like a viable option. It’s not fun.

I already hear survivor mains typing away about how killers are wanting to much. First off, i am a survivor main too. Second off, the nerf would help balance the odds evenly. What if on self-care, it had tokens? Each level of self-care has an extra token, with the final level having 3 tokens. You consume a token every time you heal yourself. Sounds simple to me. Besides, 3 chances to heal yourself can be plenty in some cases.
Nonsense. Self care takes too long as it is. It’s already a disadvantage. There are much better perks like bond that allows you to find teammates and let them heal you. I’d rather run that. But self care does have its usefulness

You can tell Killers to "apply more pressure" or point out their mistakes till the cows come home. Playing as Killers feels like you are trying not to get bullied. You do not feel strong, you feel like a little punk trying not to look foolish. Low rank killers constantly getting paired with red rank teams only exacerbates this problem. No killers, no games. My survivor queues are worse than ever, as is my experience as killer. I sense a connection.
Wow absolutely astonishing people still complain despite all of the recent and upcoming survivor nerfs. While I do understand it can be stressful and you just feel like you can’t do much, you actually can. I think there are a few killers that need help, but for the most part some of these killers like nurse, billy, spirit and ESPECIALLY Freddy are just too good. Freddy is amazing. Who the hell are you playing as when you play killer? You need to work on some things. I don’t think survivor experience feels fair a lot of the time. Vault hitboxes are broken. Hook camping makes me feel like DCing but you can’t or you get banned. But that’s not fun for that guy is it? So we paid for a game where killers are allowed to get away with that and if we don’t want to put up with that we get a penalty? Makes me feel like uninstalling. I’d rather play a game where they’re going to help me feel like this game isn’t a waste of time To queue up for I don’t give a damn if it’s a tactic or not. It shouldn’t be. I want to know that the killer is taking a bigger penalty the longer he stays in my vicinity lol
-
Eh I don’t mind the toolbox nerf as much as the add ons. The add ons suck now :(
but the killer gets to keep the same OP add ons without change? Psssh that’s what’s nonsense.
-
Flip flop + unbreakable lol
-
They don’t call it dead by daylight for no reason. Better recognize your place peasant survivor.
-
You know, when I bought this game I was like damn I’m gonna have space and time to get the feel for how the map changes every time. Now I know, unless I have Houdini teammates or they hide as soon as they spawn in because they’re scared, I can expect to see someone go down within the first 10-15 seconds every game.

"make maps more balanced" more like ruin them and kill the fun part of the game smh
don't get me wrong, nerfing god loops is justified but now they're just making them complete dead zones. and maps in general will be just like shelter woods after the patch so i doubt no one really wants to play survivor. chases are the fun part of the game but after this patch we will only have genrushing and nothing else because that's the only way to win as survivor. as killer you don't even have to mindgame anymore or have fun chases either because it'll be so easy and braindead, so i doubt i'll even play as killer anymore, we'll see.
The entire map is gonna be a dead zone lmao you get seen by the killer at all, you’re dead 🤷♂️ Simple as that. GG go queue up for another game. Good luck getting off the hook after they make the maps smaller and get rid of any chance of guaranteed chase wins. all 8 gens are gonna feel like they’re in the killers terror radius all the time. You get pulled off the hook here comes the killer again because he didn’t have to go far to patrol his generators. Boop, you’re down again and oh... Mori. How lovely. This games fun for survivor. Yeah! Maps smaller and less loops please.
oh less pallets too. It’s not like they’re currently a mile apart or anything on some of these maps 😂

I think what most killers want is the ABILITY to 4k. A chance to demolish a whole squad when the skill is higher than the survivors.
The current problem: at a certain point you can't defeat very skilled survivors anymore, no matter what. U know that it didn't matter what I had done, my loss was already written when the match started.
But ofc entitled crybaby killers exist aswell and they just want to 4k every squad "cuz killer is supposed to be the power role muuuh" but these arent the majority
Ability to 4K? They already can. Unless you’re bad at the game 🤷♂️ Some maps are more difficult than others though. I think certain killers can actually 4K ez every time. Some can’t. Mostly has to do with mobility of the killer or their ability to map pressure. Some don’t have either and it’s messed up. But they DEFINITELY give killers everything they need to slay. In fact some of them need a nerf. Hell they even give killers an ebony Mori to insta kill after one hook? That’s all you have to do? That’s not fun. I think with the DC penalty and how much they make the individual survivor suffer in this game it’s almost gonna be added to anyone’s uninstall list. Killers the one that gets to have all the fun chasing and killing. Survivors get to... Stare at a repair progress bar over and over or themselves on a hook. use two buttons to interact with everything. Fun times.

I agree, distortion needs a buff. I never said it was viable, just a strat. and lockers are almost everywhere, but even if your in a dead-zone, use the other 3 counters I gave, 2 of those require nothing to be around and the other require a gen. and yeah, never said you were upset I said you were biased. and yeah i'm upset, but (at least for the start) I did provide actual ways to counter BBQ, and there are probably more. and sorry folks, betting is off, It was neither. no refunds though.
and yeah I showed a bit too much anger in my post, sorry. I should have used a calmer method.
The other two still allow your aura to be seen though. I’m sorry but I’ll have to disagree on the other two options. You’re just not slick in this game unless you’re a blendette on a map that has bushes and dark corners 😂 which is only swamp, yamaoka and dead dawgs.

And you are saying that bbq is op and discordance, next you will say that every killer is op, the OP is asking if other killers think head on is OP, in other words he uses it but a killer complained that it was op, read first bud before mentioning killer perks, because this post isn't even talking about killer perks
No but every single post is another person whining about a survivor perk that’s already so situational and/or limited on uses that it kind of upsets me because killers have so many perks that stack easily and change the momentum of the game or just get a lot of use. With a lot of Survivor perks it’s just not the same.

bruh what? BBQ OP??? How LMAO
it has so many counters
- lockers
- gen auras
- run in one direction then change directions after
- distortion
- pretend to go afk then move
like are you FR? and Discordance? don't work on gens together once you know they have it. I've seen you pop up so much on posts ranting about how killer is OP and whatever, and jesus christ are you biased. and I know you're gonna respond with either a paragraph about times you had trouble against killer or something we ALL agree needs a nerf, or a short maybe sentance or 2 statement that doesn't debate and just acts as an excuse to ignore the post. place your bets everyone, which one will they choose? betting starts at 5$ a person.
Distortion needs a buff. 3 tokens isn’t enough if you’re looking at it from a viable way of countering aura reading perks. It’s more of an informational perk to give you a hint at what the killers using. Lockers aren’t always convenient. Someone’s clearly upset here. It’s not me.

it’s a post calling a survivor perk op. if you don’t think head on is OP why is he even bringing it up? Why bring attention to it? If used cooperatively it can be good lol how is it not relative to create a counter argument

Self Care is an extremely selfish perk that discourages teamwork. Whenever I see someone with self care, instead of helping out with gens or finding other survivors to heal them, they run off into some corner and heal, preventing progress. Even as a solo queue I've never needed to self care over finding another survivor.
self care is useful when your teammates aren’t there to heal you like they should be. Smart survivor teams will get a heal any way they can. Why run around as a one hit noisy survivor when your team is near impossible to find a lot of the time because they’re hiding in lockers or behind a rock somewhere?
-
Keep nerfing survivors or buffing killers via map size, less loops I think this game is becoming less and less fun. I think CERTAIN killers are too fast. Others need buffs. Clown, plague need help

Killers are OP? Fact. BBQ and Chili op? Fact. Discordance OP? Fact.
-
I think killers DC typically because it’s a map they don’t like. Practically half the maps are maps I don’t like but I play them anyways. That’s the kind of stuff that should boot you from playing . I spent time to queue up and you drop the lobby Over a map you don’t like when you’re the tough guy in the game huh ? 😂 yeah okay
-
I don’t believe in a DC penalty at all 😂 why should a player pay money for a game that 1) has lag issues still making it unfair to play the game giving the opposing side the advantage
2) survivor isn’t fun most of the time, killer is. *Repair progress bars, only two buttons used to interact with everything in the game, slugging and Mori’ing. Killers end chases too fast imo with the exception of a few good places to loop. they’re taking those away though. Face camping. List goes on and on. It’s either stare at yourself on the hook or watch a progress bar. Chases aren’t fun with the vast Easy amount of ways to acquire one hit downs. Eh.
3) oh... bad hitboxes at vaults. Why is it I’m on the other side, taken a few steps and going down still blows my mind 🤷♂️
4) ohhhh. Also, the players that usually DC are the ones that weren’t rewarded enough anyways for playing. We all know killers get rewarded a lot more for playing than survivors do 🤷♂️ I think it’s easier to fulfill killer categories than all 4 survivor ones. That might be why. You gotta make it feel worth all of our time here. Mori’s take away from that. As do face camping and tunneling. It’s not fun. These are all viable reasons why someone would DC. Rather than kick people out of the game they should be encouraging them to play and enjoy it more by implementing more enjoyable survivor stuff :)
-
I say this because I main both and I find it to be too ez for killers :)
it’s already not fun for survivors holding a progress bar down repairing a generator and to hear people complain about getting ran on as killer is absolutely ridiculous. Same happens to survivors. A Single survivor mistake can snowball hard. A single mistake with a Mori and that’s the game for you. Sorry bud here’s a few thousand bloodpoints for your time and effort go queue up somewhere else. Yeah really fun
-
1) ebony Mori’s galore. An “ultra rare” offering that seems to be more like “common” in the sense that it’s in literally every bloodweb level.
2) lack of good loops. The FEW (like 10% of the map) that are On each map seem to be really good but they’re removing those and making maps smaller. Skill is what... good mind game in jungle gyms and TLs? They’re changing those to favor killers. Almost everything they’ve been changing recently is for killers. I don’t think it takes skill to be a killer other than basic common sense and a good headset. It’s too ez.

This is on game to make it more realistic like the player needs to feel that he is fighting for his life, but really someone that plays dbd for hundreds of hours think its boring cause that by itself doesnt add to the experience.
Everyone just make a makro to press f for them or put on the mouse weel cause give less work, in my opinion i dont like this mechanic and i dont want some health issue in my finger joints for a unecessary thing as struggling, make it automatic no one will be bothered.
I am not saying to remove 2 hook phase just let the char struggle by itself, the game should be fun not exaustive. And tbh everyone died at least once for some kind of struggle bug even smashing the button.
"The hero they didnt know they need but they deserved"
It should be converted to skill checks instead!

Nice bait calling this bait :)
or you must be bad at playing killer
Certain killers have too much capability of being too efficient. Especially high mobility. Solo play isn’t playable. Hell if you don’t have 3 other coordinated teammates it’s unplayable. I think the loops can be ridiculous but that only accounts for what.... a small portion of the map? The other 90% of the map is killer sided? I spawn in sometimes and see a pallet every 20-30 steps or so. Maps are shrinking and loops are getting taken away. Yeah I’d rather not play anymore. Killers that don’t need buffs get buffs.

Lol don't try to tie up my post with your low quality bait. The current state of the game is sleep-inducingly boring for survivors because of how easy it is. All this post is about is my concern for SOLO QUEUE(not SWFS) survivors POST PATCH.
Eh, that’s debatable. Killers are actually really efficient in high ranks. Hell I played killer and it was ridiculously easy. Wait till they make maps smaller. Killer buff after killer buff after killer buff
-
Survivors need a buff due to small maps, bad hitboxes (particularly at vaults), bad map design always in killers favor (gens are all squeezed together) vault walls are like 2 feet wide in both directions. 90% of the map doesn’t have good loops, but the 10% that does is godly. Okay....
its not fun when killers find their first victim moments into spawning in. Teams of survivors need to get a feel for the map layout after spawning in since it’s randomly generated. It’s unfair that 15 seconds into the match I see a teammate going down. Why shouldn’t gen speed be fast? Otherwise it wouldn’t be fair. I think killers move too fast for maps to be small. Especially high mobility such as spirit, billy, oni. These guys go from gen to gen at unreasonable speeds. I already don’t have fun repairing a generator staring at a progress bar over and over and over. Why should they make gen speeds slower? They shouldn’t. Solo q is going to become less interesting then. I don’t want to come in and die for you staring at progress bar. That’s not fun for survivors. If anything survivors need a buff :/
In high ranks I see survivors getting ran on too bud. People that complain as killer are the ones that probably just need to get better. But don’t count me as a hypocrite. I’m only pointing out the obvious survivor issues. Lag, hitbox issues at vaults and in general, 3 iridescent hatchets one hit downs? Really? That’s necessary? Ebony Mori? Hahahaha. Don’t complain killers.

Seriously, you hyper-monetize the game and then every patch spits in killer's faces. People can literally just insta-sabotage after 2 seconds so we can never get hooks anymore. Bring back original iron grasp if you're going to let people insta-destroy all of our god damn hooks so we can't do a thing. Every god damn game is just people running ahead of me so no matter what hook I choose, they just take 2s and remove it and even if I hit them they still get to remove it.
We can't hook anyone in End Game Collapse because you allow Decisive Strike to stack (because you seem to think an anti-tunneling perk should stack and work during end game collapse), gens are done in seconds now and you spawn everyone together 'randomly', you spawn people on our hexes, and now people can auto-sabotage our hooks.
There's a reason there's huge wait times, no one wants to play killer anymore. Honestly this patch can go do one, you might as well just tell us to go ######### ourselves for clicking play as killer. You're going out of your way to give us deterrence for playing killer, you're that desperate for us to try and get 3 mates to play the game so we can max out your over-monetized trash whilst you continue to cripple even basic gameplay elements for the killers.
why are there hooks every 2 feet ? Always within arms reach of hooking a survivor? I think that’s a good reason Survivors should be able to do it that fast 🤷♂️

And as if wasn't enough I just got stucked in a window while using my FF, I just wasn't able to jump it and I lost 20 seconds stucked there. I want to ask you guys (mainly killer mains) do you think Devs are ever going to fix this game? Funny how Survivors tell Killers to get good, but refuse to do the same themselves.
I refuse to believe survivors always stand a solid chance. I think certain killers actually have an efficient build to consistently get 3-4K. These people typically have headsets and overall good sense of awareness playing. Hand them one hit downs, Mori’s, lag that works against survivors ability to run the killer, broken hit boxes at vaults, I think you got yourself a ‘W’
-
It’s not bait 😂 I 3-4K with plague against red ranks. I think communicating teams run on me more often than not. But I’m rank 9 killer. I don’t play much but I see red rank survivors in my game almost every game. Usually anywhere between 2-4 per game. Plague is considered one of the worst killers and I think it’s too easy.
-
I play with red rank survivors against red rank killers. Solo you see a difference and it’s ridiculous some of the stuff I’ve seen. The devs want to make maps smaller and get rid of god loops... okay well can survivors get more than a pallet per mile then? Can we get longer walls than 2 feet wide with a vault in the middle that has broken hitbox? 😂🤦🏽

in every thread you make these inane posts full of biased garbage, please get better at the game
That’s aggressive and not very nice. I’ve played both sides and I do know that some killers need a nerf :) ebony Mori’s need a nerf. It’s not about getting good. It’s about fixing lag so I don’t rubberband into one hit downs, fixing vault hitboxes so the killer doesn’t down me after I’m through it already. Why should killers be able to run around with iridescent/infantry with ebony Mori at the same time? Why is infinite exposed even a thing? It’s not that serious 😂 I’ve played both sides. I know there’s loops that make it impossible to get the guy, but the devs literally hand you an excessive amount of ways to get one hit downs and let you insta kill too? I’m just in terms of balance it’s not about getting better if I didn’t have a chance.
-
Ebony Mori’s are, in my opinion, ruining the game that I queued up with my valuable time to play Too. Now, people make the argument, if you have something that lets you escape earlier why cant I have something that lets me kill you earlier? But like I said, I think with the combination of having one hit downs from exposed (Michael goes infinite) huntress has infantry/iridescent giving her 3 ranged one hit downs, Mori.... that’s just excessive and quite frankly I don’t even want to play at that point. Also you gotta factor all of the times you’ve experienced inconsistency in game play. Lag is detrimental when you’re rubber banding into a one hit down, or the vault hit box didn’t quite play out in your favor as you vaulted and the killer gets the down due to lag or... just crappy hit boxes. Which we know this game has both. With how ez it is to go down I don’t think it’s very fair.

The mori idea was more just to stop with the one unhook dead play style that some mori users have, I do feel as though Mori’s are stronger than keys but I didn’t want to make mori’s completely obsolete. I was thinking that they could increase the rarity on ebony’s as well as the two hooks before mori change but then again I’m just spit balling idea’s.
I think this idea is better - EVERY SURVIVOR NEEDS TO BE HOOKED ONCE BEFORE ANYONE CAN BE MORI’D
so if there’s someone on your team that’s avoiding the killer and working on gens like they’re supposed to while someone else is getting hooked from running the killer you’re protecting your team. Maybe it’ll further encourage the killer to find other people and not tunnel.
-
@skynightjourney said:
I see a lot of controversy between both keys and mori’s being in the game, I can understand where both sides are coming from since I play both. However I think some small changes can fix both and make them a bit more balanced. Feel free to air some complaints with my ideas and share some insight!
For Mori’s I think it could be simple, if it’s there last hook you get the option. It could make Mori’s more of an option between final kill to be flashy or hook for information (bbq chili and such). I’ve also heard ideas like it could have a cool down or something but I have no idea how that would work.
For key’s, this is probably more controversial but have keys only work if all the gens are done and or if killer closes hatch. The do 4 gens and then leave thing isn’t the problem to me, it’s the fact that after you close the hatch it instantly goes into end game collapse, so there’s no last generator still going.
Pretty simple changes to me but I’m sure there’s problems to these changes and be happy to hear some other ideas. I’ll probably get some pitchforks and such, but let’s try and all be reasonable if you have a complaint.
Mori’s are way more powerful. It’s too easy for killers to hook and tunnel and Mori once he’s unhooked. Whereas survivors still have to practically do all of their work to even use the key. 12 hooks reduced to 4 with ebony Mori. That’s a 66.666% objective reduction on an Ultra rare OFFERING that survivors don’t have. Keys are typically used when there’s 2/3 survivors left and to use it they have to do 60/80% of the work respectively. Which at most is a 40% objective reduction.
id say Mori’s have the biggest objective reduction percentage, correct? And they’re easier to get once you find someone and inevitably get your first hook. But how is the game supposed be fun if you don’t find anyone the whole game? How is that fun? So why does the game penalize you for getting found? Then you leave with a few thousand blood points to show for it? Nonsense

I know vaulting isn't the safest method of surviving especially when killer's distance is in question but why is it that from yesterday up to now I'm getting hit through the window even after I finished the fast vault animation and already running away? I don't understand. The best part is that sometimes the killer swings early and the weapon doesn't hit the window opening o_O. U may say it's lag but I played with two friends last night and they had the same experience. Presently, I'm playing with another friend and we're both having the same problem. Anyone else going through this? It's just discouraging to even continue play survivor. I use an Ethernet cable and I restarted my router multiple times. :(((((
It’s not your internet the hit boxes are broken. It’s unfair to survivors right now, super killer sided game in terms of surviving chases via vaults and sometimes pallets because the game doesn’t let you drop it while the killer is in the lunge animation - the game literally ignores your button input for the pallet. So many times I’ve been through the vault, taken a few steps and get slammed and when I look back the killer is behind the vault. It’s messed up. The vaults should require killers to walk around the 2 foot wall that I vaulted through. You’re faster than me, it’s not a big deal unless I have lithe, but that’s my benefit/advantage over you in the chase and I should be able to use it. If you can’t Do the grab me animation you shouldn’t be able to get a hit. It should give you the animation that you hit a wall or an object instead. That’s not fair I have to go through an animation but you don’t and can just swing and down someone.
-
@fckal0 said:
You won't need a pallet if you have good juke-game, which you dont considering you need a pallet to do the trick.
Good juke game? That’s not the kind of game I bought. That’s not what makes games fun. It’s about using your environment that the devs are supposed to supply you with. Killers have abilities, ez one hit downs, speed, they have to give survivors a way to successfully survive if they’re good at using THE ENVIRONMENT. Includes pallets, vaults, hugging walls, running efficiently. Not “juking” a killer. They need to design maps more around environmental interactions to boost survivors chances of survival. Taking away pallets and vaults altering loops in any way to favor killer isn’t helping the other 90% of the map that feels as though for survivors you’re just too out in the open and caught out of position. It’s killer sided.
-
Ebony Mori’s just ruin the game and you’re talking about 3 toolboxes that were nerfed in the recent patch 😂 I thought the key was the issue

There's just too much power variability on the survivor side for killers not to have this ability. If I see 3 toolboxes in the lobby, I'm bringing a mori. But then at the end results screen, I see it was just brown toolboxes with no add-ons, instead of what I thought which was green toolboxes with BNP and stuff. Same with yellow flashlights compared to purple instablind ones with Odd Bulb and everything.
The reason we need to see the perks is because of 1 or 2 powerful survivor perks: DS, and Adrenaline imo. DS is just so punishing to get hit by, especially when multiple survivors have it. You have to assume everyone has it, and slug instead of pick them up again. It also works from grabs like from lockers, which I think is unfair and is abuse of the perk. But then there's matches where 1 survivor or nobody had DS, and I played around it for every survivor, causing me to waste time and lose. With Adrenaline, the survivors get a free health state AND a sprint burst, even off of hook. You need to know whether survivors have that or not, because if everyone is pushing gens while injured and then they all get healed to full, that's an unwinnable situation for the killer, even if he was winning.
Should survivors also be able to see what the killer has? No. The killer should be the power role, and this being a 1-sided mechanic gives them a small edge, especially over SWF.
Again, the thing that inspired this idea is the crazy power variation survivors can have. One match I'll play Spirit and get a 4k, but the next match I'll get a 0k. This happens because in the first match the survivors were suboptimal and didn't bring OP stuff and run full meta perks, and the second match they were all good survivors, SWF, 4 DS and Borrowed, and BNP. It's not fair that the killer has absolutely no idea what he's up against until he's losing and it's too late to adjust his playstyle to compensate.
Survivors should be able to see who the killer is then.
