No. It almost ruined Smash, it will do just as much damage here. Tripping is the dumbest thing ever implemented in pvp gaming.
Tripping is a Friday 13th Mechanic.

I think killers shouldn’t be able to just hold down their left stick and move around fast without being challenged. Survivors have to sweat to get those extra seconds gain/momentum on the killer in the chase but the killer gets football field length lunges and crazy fast movement speed without any possibility of making a costly mistake during the chase unless they lose sight of you completely. They miss a hit, oh well, the recovery time is like ... well ... instant. They get pallet stunned or the survivor drops the pallet. Well sometimes it’s actually faster for the killer to just walk around the pallet. Can’t believe they haven’t fixed the pallets that only have a stack of tires or a piece of trash sitting next to them as a “wall” protruding from either side of the pallet.
-
You gotta call out unbalanced requests when you see them. This one of them 🤣🤣🤣 nice try. I’m still confused as to why they haven’t changed struggle phase to a skill check. The game is too laggy for button smashing.

So I'm sure everyone is familiar with the classic horror trope, where someone is being chased and out of nowhere and for no real reason they trip and fall. It's goofy af at this point.
For a while, I've been wondering how a mechanic like that would play out in DBD. It's just a silly thought experiment to see what people would think about this.
I'm thinking it could play out something like this:
When you run around the map you have a small chance to trigger a skill check or QTE which would cause your character to stumble and lose speed if you fail.
When you are in a chase, you have a higher chance to trigger this event, especially when looking back. In order to make it less annoying and so it doesn't conflict with other actions, the chance for these checks to appear can be deactivated or greatly reduced when at certain distances from loops/pallets/windows. It would act more as a check for survivors who just hold W.
Guaranteed chance of a check at the end of SB, Lithe, BL and right after DH unless you reach a pallet or vault, however you'll receive the check after the vault if you keep running. Because you're moving faster or dodging, it makes sense you'd be more likely to trip on something. I think it would add a layer of depth to the use of these perks since you'd be vigilant to hit that check or else lose your speed, and since it's a guarantee, then you won't be caught by surprise if you know what you're doing. It'll create a risk-reward situation where if you reach a safe position you won't be interrupted by the check so you're incentivized to use the perks smartly and not just for distance.
I honestly think it'd be funny seeing a survivor running away with sprint burst and then when they look back they stumble and lose the distance they made because they weren't paying attention.
I can see some instances where this can be annoying but I'd like to hear what you guys have to say about this.
:P
Why isn’t the killers QTE mentioned too? So this would be a debuff for survivors but killers get to move just as fast with ease without the possibility of error. Nope.
-
There is a lot of map pressure that can be applied by killers. Just because you don’t know how to do it, doesn’t mean killers need a buff. Maaaaan I would love to see people stop complaining about gen speed still after the countless hits that’s taken. Any longer staring at a progress bar only to stare at myself on a hook I think I’ll pull all my hair out. It’s not fun waiting to die for you. Nor is it fun if killers are any stronger than a lot of them are now. I’m still blown away at how the huntress’ down speed isn’t being adjusted. It’s too fast. Almost doesn’t allow mind games. There should be some longer recovery time after chucking that thing

The devs love to nerf any halfway-decent killer and killer perks, but it’s okay for survivors to have: Adrenaline, DS, BT, Soul Guard, Unbreakable, and the most op perk of all... SWF. Killers get called toxic for camping and tunneling But there is nothing you can do about getting he gen rushes, or not be able to catch and hook not a single survivor. The devs won’t increase gen time, the won’t touch SWF, they keep nerfing killers that are actually viable, they nerf killer perks. Like old ruin, even if they didn’t nerf it, how that compare to the survivor perks they got now. The killer meta is very weak compared to the survivor meta. What can killers do when they get gen rushed? What can killers do against SWF. What can killers do with very lackluster perks. Devs, Do you truly play your game. Can you say that the Killer is an actual Killer, or is he trying to survive against the 4 killers. I mean look at Pyramid Head’s perks compared to Cheryl’s perks. Devs, PLEASE PLAY YOUR GAME!!!
Fantastic bait. Killers are pretty OP in this game 😂 have you played survivor solo? You lose like 99% of the time. But they swf and then the complaints start rolling in. As if 4 people shouldn’t be able to work together to beat the killer. Killer is supposed to kill all 4 every time huh? That’s a fun game.

Its literally gotton worse and its to the point where I refuse to play this stupid game.....every single killer match (rank 11) I get red ranks and every survivor match (rank 7) I get rank 20-15 teammates......PLEASE FIX THIS GAME
You got half of them. That’s entitled thinking you deserve 4K every game. It’s actually too EASY for the killer. As a survivor you REALLY have to rely on your teammates and more often than not it’s not going to end in a W. It’s not fun for survivors atm they don’t fix things that are problems imo. Vault hitboxes are broken. Clear a vault and take a few steps you still get hit. Ridiculous. Teammates leave you on hook. Tunneled. Camped. It’s not fun. I wish they did more for survivors to make it longer but more enjoyable. As for killer it’s the best you’re out there by yourself! Nobody to rely on. Develop a strategy to be efficient at gen pressure!
-
Killers are granted speed and special abilities. You can’t beat the killer to anything unless he’s a mile behind you. And that’s likely never the scenario with this game. You’re supposed to get caught. But you can’t even defend yourself? That’s not fun.
-
It’s not latency. It happens over and over and over with consistency. If you get hit you shouldn’t be able to drop the pallet. Period. It’s either one or the other. Not both. Even vaulting over like I said with windows the hit doesn’t seem to make sense. There have been times I simply ran by a window and the killer swung at it and hit me before I even got to the window. The hit boxes are broken. Killer attacks always come first, survivor moves are always slow enough to give the killer plenty of time to get a second hit or an undeserving 1st hit. They strip pallets from the game spread them out or put them in terrible locations that do nothing to cut the killer off because it has nothing but a small stack of tires next to it or some kind of debris that doesn’t stretch far enough so he just walks around it while you’re still dropping the pallet. It works more in his favor than it does yours 😂
-
@CosmicParagon said:
Drop it earlier, greed kills.
That’s a terrible solution. Greed has nothing to do with it. In this game the killers attack presides over the survivors vault and pallet drop animations. You could clearly see you beat the killer to either one of those things and it made no difference. Heaven forbid a killer miss an attack right? An attack that recovers almost instantly without much of an impactful penalty for missing. It’s ridiculous.
-
also, you ran 3/4 perks and none of them were even max level. Only 2 out of the 3 you ran were even remotely helpful. Also, Do you have a headset? These things might help. 😂😂😂🤣🤣 killers just go into games without any perks on and blame matchmaking for their inability to kill anything? Awww man...
-
This game is so easy to play as killer 😂 I never really complain about matchmaking when I play killer. I mostly complain about.... well, nothing. Quite frankly I think playing killer is way more fun! So it blows me away when I see people complain about things. Get better hone your skills. You’ll see. Survivor sucks :/ and until they make it more fun solo where it doesn’t feel like 9 times out of 10 the killer mows you down. Killers are OP. But people keep wanting more and more because they don’t know how to play so they patch in more buffs every update 🙂
-
Matchmaking is bad on both sides. 3 out of every 4 games I play solo you get matched up with terrible survivors. This game is increasingly less and less fun when killers complain about things they have to go through and killers get a buff the next update. Killers have to understand one thing - You have nobody to rely on. That is a blessing that I don’t think many of you understand! There are things in this game I wish were fixed for survivors. Like how killers can wack you through vaults, pallets and windows. Hit box seems broken there. Yet it goes unchecked and Uncared for.

You cage a survivor, he's insta saved but you don't even know where he is. You can lose all your momentum because of this lack of information. Thanks BHVR for making the new killer trash. At least give him a buff on another aspect of his power to compensate. It seems like he's just a weaker huntress now
So let me get this straight. You down a guy and don’t have to carry him to a hook but it should still behaves as a hook where you’re given an aura? Definitely not. You didn’t give the survivors a chance to rescue with a flashlight. You’re essentially allowed to skip a key part of what makes the game fun and dynamic.
-
As for the exchange of messages between survivors and the killer that may be hurtful. When you’re talking about in general both sides get harassed. It’s not just the killer. Survivors get messages from other survivors too 😂 they fight amongst each other when you play solo.

Just out of curiosity do you survivors feel bad when the killer gets destroyed, and he's trying their hardest to at least not depip, but never seem to be able to? Like they are just given can't seem to make a difference and get t bagged by a fellow survivor? I'm asking these because today I watched as a survivors watching a clown who just is trying to try the new killer getting t bagged flash lighted like crazy and mocked at by end game chat, I tried to cheer the guy up but didn't fully work. He tells me has had games very similar to this and that he is actually hurt by this. And I wonder do other survivors pity the killer or do they not care at all, so I'm asking do you pity a Killer, when he or she tries his ahrdest to get a good game but falls behind and is ridiculed by it, do you feel pity?
Why would anyone feel bad for the new guy 😂 if he’s learning the ropes still who cares he probably isn’t going to win the match anyways. Let him train. No I don’t feel bad for anyone that plays this except for survivors. I don’t feel bad for killers because YOU ARE OUT THERE BY YOURSELF. You have nobody to rely on so it’s totally on YOU not to make mistakes. As for survivors I have experienced countless times where I get hooked, unhooked immediately after and re-hooked. The game lags and my character dies on struggle phase because for some reason they would rather have us smash A or Space bar than do skill checks. There are way more frustrating things about playing survivor. Proxy hook camping, tunneling. It’s just not fun a lot of the time. But wait... we should feel bad for the killer who is learning how to play? Feel bad for people playing killer that’s getting bullied with in game items and momentum changing stun plays? No. Thats ridiculous.
-
When I say hitting survivors through walls I mean I’ve been hit by lunging killers striking the walls next to windows and going down. Even at windows if I’m not a mile away from the window I get hit. I noticed a difference between now and before the recent patches. Seems broken.

The generators get repaired way too quickly. Byt time you catch your first survivor 2 gens are popped. This is pointless for killer, they might as well just sit in the corner for the entire match. Fix generator speeds devs or bring old ruin back. Toolboxes may have been nerfed but it still doesn't stop the speed of the generators. Fix the gens. Because I think I speak for a lot of the killers when I say playing killer isn't fun it's boring. I know you won't listen but I hope you do. As a lot of killers think the same.
No gens are fine. So make gens slower to give you more time to Mori tunneled survivors and camp? Nahh. That’s not fun. You know what they need to fix instead? They need to fix Killers hitting survivors through walls. Does the killers lunge attack cover more distance now? Because it feels like it. Too easy for killers. I’ve played them so don’t even try me with the you are a “survivor main” nonsense.

Use a different killer. Up your skills. It sucks just as much on non swf teams. Keep nerfing survivors because they’re “op” and they won’t be playable or fun to play. Gg ez every time playing as killer.
-
Killers come in with their ebony Mori’s that almost guarantee them free kills while playing as a survivor I barely see a key to give my team any kind of shortcut. About Half of the time of those rare “my team has a key” situations there’s an even smaller chance we even get to use the key. Killers are granted add ons that give them ez downs, ez kills. As a dev, if I saw people complaining about wanting more out of being the killer that would be an insult. A slap in the face because they have already made it too easy. Although I must admit there are a few killers who seem more stressful to play as than others simply because they either don’t have the mobility other killers have or they just flat out don’t have enough anti loop potential.

I am a solo que player. In most of my matches I get 3 or 4 kills, but I have to be in try hard mode and play a strong killer.
So it’s hard to enjoy the game because you have to work for your wins? I’m not understanding 😂 It’s 1v4 where the team of 4 can’t fight back, they run slower than you, killers have melee lunge attack range that exceed what’s necessary, vault hit boxes are broken for survivors because killers still get the hit when the survivor has already fast vaulted through the window and has taken a few steps, half the pallets are seemingly poorly placed throughout the map where killers can walk around them because there’s no wall to cut the killer off, maps have shrunk which benefit the killer, coop gen speed has been nerfed, killers have been buffed in recent patches (except my favorite Plague but she’s still fun to play). I don’t like seeing people complain about being killer because in reality.... it’s just too easy lol

I was a killer main, but I switched to survivor. Playing as killer is so stressful. Most of the times you just have to wait until survivor makes a mistake. And if you make one or two mistakes you are probably going to lose. Almost before every game I wonder if I really want to go into the match. What if I go again vs a very good SWF and will have to sweat my ass off.
Not so long ago I switched to survivor. Playing as one is so less stressful and easier. But often times I play against killers, which only want to make the match for survivors as bad as possible. Today I played one match vs spirit, which camped Claudette on her first hook, and later every next survivor. ("Tunnel of love" included.) No one t-bagged her or anything. When 2 survs left (me and Claudette), spirit slugged her for 4k. She found me, hooked me and hit me like 5 times. Entity saw ######### was going on and gave me 4%. I went into the locker, she waited 50 seconds and later slugged me. She hooked us when we nearly bleed out and after nodding her head like 15 times. In the endgame chat we only saw "Ez".
I played many toxic games, but Dbd is the worst one. People just want to unload their negative emotions and make the match as ######### as possible for the other side.
It goes the same for when you’re not part of an SWF. It’s fair. Try playing survivor solo and you’ll feel the same frustration. Killer can be stressful, but it’s also too easy sometimes. You don’t deserve to win every single time because you’re the killer. An organized team should be able to stand a chance at kicking your butt too! Clearly you need to revise some of your tactics playing killer. Maybe that will assist you.

Devs said that the nurse was broken and that her stats were busted because of insanely high kill rates and pick rates, but her base kit was not the problem, it was omega blink nurse and 5 blink nurse and all the broken builds many players used constantly to skew the stats, but they nerfed her base kit as well with no actual reasoning and now she is the one of the lowest picked killers, she just needed an addon reowrk
Granted nurses addons now are some of the most useless ######### ever, with the most bullshit sideffects but she didn’t need the stupid recharge timer
You’re wrong she needed a nerf. She’s still good though, a good nurse player still gets ez downs. I see it happen on console all the time. She definitely didn’t need 5 blinks that’s excessive. Psssh. Entitled killer mains wanting ez 4Ks every game.

FFS this has been a huge and apparent problem that has been given bandaid fixes that fixed NOTHING. Will they ever actually fix it? I mean, unless losing a gen for every chase is still fine and 'We need to snowball'. Spoiler, it isnt and it's about the same level of fun as getting facecamped by bubba
Gen speed isn’t a problem. It’s already been nerfed please stop complaining. Killers have access to quick easy downs and kills via abilities, Mori’s, tunneling, camping, slugging, exposed, traps, high mobility. Why would anyone want to stare at a progress bar longer? How is that fun for them? Think of these things. Work on improving your skills as killer. In red ranks against good killers even without Mori’s (sometimes even perks) have done exceptionally well keeping survivors off gens. Why can’t you?

@Fibijean said:
Yes, crashes and anything else that causes you to leave the match is treated as a disconnect and punished accordingly. This is to prevent the system from being bypassed, since it's impossible to tell the difference on the server side between a crash or a network outage and someone killing their game or disconnecting their internet deliberately.
It’s still a system that does more harm than good. My reasoning for this is because this isn’t the game you can rejoin like rainbow 6 siege and survivors can still hook suicide. Installing a DC penalty for survivors that leave is only half the problem. Might as well not have it in there at all. Also, Mori’s, tunneling and camping are All deflating factors in the game causing DC rates to climb as well. I see teammates back out even still just because they see people getting tunneled AND Mori’d as soon as they get off the hook and then the other survivors just can’t get their objectives done losing teammates too fast. The game ends too fast. It’s just not fun for them. Maybe swf teams stand a better chance, but playing solo it’s consistent. I don’t mean to take one side here but I really feel like I’m stating the obvious yet I feel like a lot of people choose to ignore the reasons why people disconnect. Also, I too have experienced internet or server crashes that have netted me a DC penalty. If this penalty is to ensure Killers don’t DC well, who are they harming if they do? They’re out there by themselves. Survivors can just move on. As a killer I’d be upset, but people still do it anyways regardless of the penalty. Rather than inflict punishments On people that can’t rejoin the game they left either willingly or unwillingly, the focus should be on making the game more enjoyable. I think people would disconnect less often that way.
-
I believe there is a decent counter to spirit and it’s a perk called Fixated. Allows you to walk faster. Walking is always a good thing as it doesn’t leave scratch marks lol. With spirit and nurse you have to be good at predicting movement otherwise it’s going to end badly for the killer. If they’re really good at it, it’s a wrap you lose.

Just had 2 survivors hold the game hostage for around 40 minutes, i finally found them and one escaped by the skin of their teeth.
They proceed to say gg wp <3, it obviously was not a good game, they know what they were doing
I call them pathetic for holding the game hostage especially on ptb and their excuse was me "tunneling" them early.
Really? that's really the best you can come up with? And if I tunneled them then how come I killed two people before them? I guess Tunneling is a sin but holding the game hostage is something you're allowed to do in a survivor's eyes.
I have played dbd before nurse came out and stopped playing dbd a little bit before deathslinger came out, i'm back again, and it's amazing to see how long people keep up this act. Four years of toxicity. Don't call me a salty killer main because yes, i'm salty, but being a killer main has nothing to do with it, and whenever I play survivor I never see killers doing terrible things, because they literally don't have the power to do the things survivors can, and neither side should be able to break the game.
I know literally no one here cares but I just felt like typing it out of my system, I like this game but the people in it, just ugh.
Wow a game lasting 40 minutes? I’d say you should feel fortunate. I’m tired of quick games. You didn’t even mention if they had 3 genned themselves that could be a reason why. Why should they give you a chase and die for you? They’re supposed to avoid dying last I checked. So technically they’re not holding the game hostage. Sometimes it can be too hard to do the last gen even if you avoided the 3 gen because some killers have too high of mobility They can go from gen to gen regardless of 3 genning yourself. Even if you tunneled them that sounds like a legit reason to “hold the game hostage”
id do it too. It’s not fun getting caught once and dying for it. I am sure You’d value your one opportunity at life too had you been in their shoes.

The only thing I don’t like is that us console players have to wait 3 more weeks to get this content. I want it now!

As both killer and survivor i find it absolute bullshit. Happens in a good chunk of my games. When someone does it, either because they don't like the killer or they don't like that they were first downed. It completely ruins the game, basically guarantees the killer will win, and also makes the killer lucky to black pip. It's bad for everyone in the game and there is no excuse to not treat it the same as a D/C
there is no way to force someone to stay in the game. People don’t enjoy getting tunneled, Mori’d, camped on. To be honest I’d probably stop playing if they banned for that type of thing. It’s still a “chance” you can escape off the hook so they’re technically not doing anything wrong. Especially if you consider the fact that they could get Mori’d as soon as they get off all you’re doing is losing faster and wasting time getting that guy off the hook. Same applies if he’s camping the hook. This game gets really irritating sometimes because of the lack of chances survivors have sometimes despite all the whining and crying about second chance perks. These second chance perks don’t do anything for the camped tunneled Mori’d survivor. That guy is getting de ranked anyways for something that’s not his fault. How about that guy? You’re over here worried about something that affects you well what about him? That’s selfish. Just because you’re the one comfortably doing generators while he’s bleeding out on a hook getting camped on or Mori’d when he gets off that makes him the bad guy for finding an easy way out? Yeah okay.

In case you're wondering what it does, when healed or picked up from dying state you get 8 seconds of endurance. You also get unlimited unbreakables if you are cursed by a hex (ruin, noed etc).
Doesn't take a genius to see why this perk is busted AF.
When in a 4v1 situation that's busted as hell. Especially when combo'd with the already BS Unbreakable DS combo. This is just adding fuel to the fire of absolutely busted combo'd second chance perks on the survivor side. There's just so many situations where this would easily screw over the killer because the survivors messed up.
I don't really know how they would fix this perk other that a complete rework or butchering, but hopefully they can figure a way out to make this perk much healthier for the game.
Also why on earth screw over people who use hexes like that? I know some of the dev team doesn't like ruin that much but jeez. It's also kinda ruining the little perk variety we have as ruin and other hex perks are kinda ok on some killers. This is just pointless and needs to be removed.
The other one looks like it's meant to be a counter to pop. Of which I ask why? It doesn't need a counter when the cause of it is the survivors messing up.
When working on a gen for 60 seconds it activates, you can now entity block a gen for 30 seconds.
I mean, it's not overpowered at all. But I don't like how it seemed so directed it was at pop. As its probably shown on the devs radar that pop is basically the new ruin due to its pressure, but this perk is completely fair. It doesn't deserve this perk to exist to counter it. It's not like it's "plaguing" gameplay like old ruin did.
I just wanna ask why this was even invented.
As for the rest of the chapter though, absolutely amazing. Killers strong, map is cool (albeit a bit surv sided from first glance), survivor is pretty good. And a clown buff. yay.
Thoughts?
why would they leave a hex perk active? Hex perks are meant to be really strong so why wouldn’t it make sense for the survivors to have something strong too? But then lose that strength upon you losing your strength in that hex perk? Survivors need more protection from tunneling. This is much needed but it’s not Infinite unbreakables lol you don’t get the same recovery speed boost unbreakable gives you and it’s temporary dependent on if there’s an active curse - so don’t use one
-
moris, well, they are an offering. Survivors don’t have a powerful offering that impacts the game like Mori’s do. Both sides have shrouds to keep survivors together or separate them. Both sides have BP offerings. Both sides have these stick offerings that alter hook distance. Why does the killer have Mori, but Survivors have nothing to at least counter that or give them some kind of survival or altruistic assistance?
-
How would Blood On Your Face be unobtainable? I have it. I didn’t Mori all 4 survivors. You just kill them by any means necessary.
Ivory/Ebony Memento Mori’s should be removed or reworked to be an after 2 hooks kinda thing or after all survivors have been hooked once. They are a really cool part of the game but they discourage people from playing. If they want to truly cut down on DC problems they should get rid of them. It’s just not fun when you’re trying to play competitively to continue playing when you have teammates getting tunneled out of the game before the other survivors can do much to make a good impact on their objectives to make up for that lost teammate. You are also losing rank when you get Mori’d as they had little opportunity to play. I don’t think there is really any viable reason Mori’s should be in the game. If your justifying the need for them as well it helps me keep up with gen speed then.... you need to work on your tactics as killer then. I see people do just fine 4King by being good. Not tunneling off hooks and Mori’ing people. It’s cheap. And its deflating as a survivor. It makes me want to go play something else. I’ll eat the penalty. It’s just not fun for me. I mostly stick it out, or at least try to, but someone always DCs when they see a fellow teammate get Mori’d. Then it makes me not want to play even more. It’s just a snowballing effect of losing interest.

I mean, to be fair, the survivor got caught. If you're a decent survivor who can loop worth a damn, it's completely possible to avoid getting caught.
I believe you’re referring to the old infinite loop system. No it’s not possible to avoid getting caught. You can’t loop the killer forever. Maybe in the green and yellow ranks. But red rank killers aren’t new to your mind games lmao. Cmon be realistic. but even running the killer isn’t enough to get you a pip. You lose rank because that’s all you did. That’s not your fault. You could run flawlessly the killer will get you eventually. The game is not built like that. So when he does, you’re not allowed to play anymore? Okay. Well, I lose rank too? That’s complete nonsense. There should be something in place to protect peoples rank who are bound to the hook until the die. Black pip at least.

Well, sadly it is intended that White Ward works like that. So I guess the goal should be that you ######### when you have a White Ward so that you can keep your Add Ons.
And well, ti is considered "fair" that Survivors lose their Add Ons, because Killers lose them as well. Of course we ignore the fact that the Killer gets way more BPs. :>
it’s just unfortunate that add ons for both sides are treated the same because they aren’t. One side has consumable Items and add ons the other doesn’t. So why are they both requiring Wards to keep them? Killer add ons are way more powerful. They should lose those every game 😂 You got plenty of use out of them I’m sure. The brand new part I brought into the game well, I might have missed one or both. Even if I got both there is also ruin or pop that might regress it making it useless. Survivor add ons that aren’t consumable are also very weak. The best non consumables were the charges but those were nerfed really hard! It’s getting pretty bad. Constantly I go into games as a survivor where I feel my items just go to waste and they’re being treated the same as the killer add ons that get use every game? The offering Mori sees plenty of use every game but my key isn’t always guaranteed? That’s the problem with survivors is that nothing you bring in is always guaranteed and you don’t even get to keep the items once you escape with them. That’s part of the reward in my opinion. That’s why they should keep them.

Killers should take less points but get 4k more often.
No. They already get too many points and 4K quite often.

I understand the sentiment - I play a lot of solo queue survivor and moris and face-campers are pretty frustrating to deal with... however, I'm really looking for data.
I'm moving under the assumption that the devs pay attention to win/loss statistics and balance accordingly: I don't think they'd just change half the maps involving a ton of dev time if they didn't see an issue... And I believe we're scheduled for a mori/key rework soon, which would be fantastic!
Mori and Key REMOVAL would be great yeah. Although I think that hurts the killer more than survivor. Mori’s are stronger than keys. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve brought in a key and haven’t been able to use it outside of being able to see my own teammates with a gold token. Otherwise, you better safe guard it with a White Ward. But when killers bring Mori’s in, they always get use out of it. Yet it costs the same. In fact, killers might get to Mori all 4 survivors and that one survivor with a Key won’t even get to see the hatch because a minimum of 3 gens has to be done. By then, your whole team is dead lmao. It’s too easy to hook, tunnel Mori.

Can you spot the salty survivor main? If you look at how the game was previously, it was very, very survivor sided. It's more even now IMO. But what do I know, I'm in red ranks and don't do either of those. Only bring a mori if I have a daily
Which of the following that was in the previous updates has made this game more “survivor sided” : the removing of god loops, unaddressed obvious dead zones and the making of maps even smaller? Coop gen speed slowed down and tucked away in a perk. Yep, survivors are getting stronger! Yep!
-
i definitely can’t say it’s survivor sided. In the red ranks killer wins most of the time. It’s a cesspool of Ebony Mori’s and tunneling campers 😂 EZ 4Ks. Every passing patch it gets easier and easier for them. Yet somehow.... we hear the same complaints. Gens are too fast, Whine about this loop where the survivor ran him for more than 5 seconds because if they don’t get their ez downs or ez kills complaints start rolling in.
-
I bet if they tallied up the percentage of people who are red rank vs those who aren’t like 90% of them are. It’s too easy to get there. You don’t have to escape to Pip. You’re not meant to live. Based on your guys’ score it seems you put up a fight.
-
rank doesn’t mean anything for survivors. Everyone’s red rank.
-
I went against red ranks as a Yellow and green rank killer too. And I played plague. Still 3-4K every game.
-
how Many times do the survivors have to get nerfed before you people will stop complaining? 😂
-
I think everyone is red rank by now. It doesn’t take long to get there. How are you people even complaining about this still?

Regardless if it's a SWF group or not, this is just unacceptable. Yes the rank 16 may be closer to my level, but once the matchmaking system detected that the other three survivors weren't, it should have saw to it that I did not get matched against them.
The moment I became a rank 13 killer, all I've gotten is matched up against red rank survivors. This is no longer fun.
this is getting really old. The reason why is because it’s too easy to rank up as A survivor. Red ranks are common. I bet The majority of the survivor player base is red or purple. By the looks of the scoreboard you did okay enough to get more than just one kill. Are you really blaming match making? I go against red rank survivors as a yellow or green rank killer and I do fine. It honestly doesn’t matter. Maybe they’ll teach you a thing or two. Most of the time I don’t realize it’s a 4 man red rank Swf until I get back to the ez 4K post game lobby and see it for myself. This game isn’t That hard to play as killer . There’s always an excuse . It’s Matchmaking, it’s gen speed, it’s this, it’s that. Just get better at the game please 😂

this game's community tends to call every thing toxic. clicking flashlights, crouching, pointing, nodding your head (for both the killers and survivors), tea bagging, or just other things that make the game fun, at least for me.
I played a match were the killer was on shack sort of patrolling it with a hooked survivor in the basement, I was hidden under the basement and started pointing at the hooked survivor and crouching at him, waiting for the killer to leave so I can safely unhook him. Later on the match he was the first survivor to die, waited for the entire match to end, so he could talk smack to me. I was just having fun.
An other time I got a killer that was kicking my ass, (one of those matches with 2 dead survivors and 5 gens remaining) and I got a pallet stun on him and pointed at him, in the endgame chat he was really salty.
My cousin was playing against a killer would've gotten a 4k but he let him escape. Then my cousin started pointing and nodding at the exit gate to play with the killer and show gratefulness. In the endgame chat the man was PISSED off.
And survivors are also toxic with this. Once I faked giving the last survivor the hatch, and then closed it in his front, I was just playing with him. Then the man snapped and said he was going to report me for being toxic and ruining the game experience for him.
This type of stuff is really common in this game, especially in this forum. Stop calling everything toxic, learn to have fun in the game without being a gross sweat
Yeah just hook him. Why are you toying with people’s time? I’d get mad too. You’re lucky he didn’t DC 😂 that’s what I would have done. If you’re not going to hook me because you want to milk some extra points well, I’m out. That’s not fun for me. People want their time to be respected. Just do your job as killer and kill them. Toying around with them or milking points is only going to backfire. Just get in and get out.

Maps are clearly not balanced. Some favor survivors, some favor killers. Maybe not have it so that players can choose which maps they get sent to and prepare accordingly. The maps can be frustrating for both sides. At least if it's random you can't prepare for it and balance it even more in your favor, and less for the other side.
At least until they can get the maps balanced a bit better.
Maybe get rid of Mori Offerings. Anything survivor sided gets complained about but nobody addresses the strength of Killer items. Survivors have map offering strength (odds are better at 4-1) which is still useless. Survivors don’t have good offerings that impact the game like killers can. They can only gain additional bloodpoints. They have a tree branch that can be countered with Putrid tree branch. What do they have that killers can’t counter? Map percentage chance? But killers get Mori’s? Where’s the survivor counter for that? There is none.
map offerings 😂 yeah okay. Everyone deserves to have an impact on where to go. Maps that aren’t being played as much due to vast number of maps available. I think it’s necessary.

I wanted to wait a while before I made this post to fully test out the reworked maps (because I needed to see how much these changes impacted the game). And after playing on the reworked maps over and over, the devs basically have two options that will make the game more fair for killers.
1. They can reduce the number of safe pallets (which will vary from map to map).
2. They can give survivors more objectives to compensate for the longer chases against competent survivors.
Or, they can do a little of both.
I'm not sure what strategy the devs are using here. Do they like survivors having an abundance of safe pallets or is their plan to further update the maps?
Personally, I think it would be easier and more proper to simply remove some of the safe pallets and replace them with unsafe pallets. But of course, removing safe pallets would vary from map to map. Some maps might only need to have one or two safe pallets removed, but other maps will need more pallets removed (especially the heavily survivor-sided maps).
Doing a little of both is also reasonable I think. The devs have said they are open to the idea of giving survivors more objective(s).
Going the extra objective time route is probably the worst choice.
And before some of you jump all over me, I realize the implications of my suggestions. Making the maps more killer friendly does potentially open up a can of worms when you consider the higher tier killers (namely Billy or Oni).
Not to mention, Nurse or Spirit could very well become too strong if the devs added several extra objectives for survivors (considering these killers aren't bounded by map design as much).
If I had to guess, I don't think the map changes would make Billy or Oni overpowered. But if that happens, these killers can be toned down if need be (I doubt they would need much tweaking anyway).
Adding several extra objectives does seem like it would be too extreme (because of Nurse and Spirit).
Making the maps more killer friendly I think would be better than what we have now: Killers at high ranks using either a top tier killer or a lower tier killer (and risk getting a really bad map).
Point is, it does appear that map design is the bane of this game. Anyone who has played killer at rank 1 has probably noticed how relatively common it is for survivors to use map offerings. That's because they know certain maps give them a big advantage. And to be frank, having to deal with map offerings as killer can be irksome.
My hope is the devs will keep in mind the resources they give survivors to work with (and make necessary adjustments).
What do you guys think? I think the map design still needs needs improvement.
The survivors need more entertaining ways to do their objective, but as far as increasing the time it takes to do their work absolutely not. It’s already too much the killer has such an easy way of killing people fast why should they make it harder to do gens?
Idk what safe pallets you’re talking about but most pallets suck lmao why do pallets have a small piece of debris on either side of them so the killer can just walk around? It defeats the purpose of using a pallet to cut the killer off? There’s already a lack of them on every map.

The good news is that they said that they're looking at the dead zones. So they are looking at that.
The entire map on every map is a dead zone 😂 they keep destroying loops. Few are even solid loops now. There’s a strong side and a weak side to every loop but why is it that these pallets are useless 😂 why do they put walls a foot wide on either side so the killer can just walk around? Is it not intended to cut the killer off while you’re running from him?
