They gave him an add on pass. They passed by and nerfed his most necessary add ons for no reason.

What was your Evil Incarnate match like?

She used to be brain dead easy. Now she takes a bit of effort. Add to that I don't think very many people enjoy playing as her, they just liked winning.
I mean she still takes infinitely less effort than Blight or Nurse. Sorry, but as much as survivors hate those two characters, they really aren't very pick up and play and master in a game or two.
-
Because she isn't S tier anymore even if a handfull of streamer/youtubers say she is. It doesn't translate into reality and wins like Blight/Nurse so she isn't common now.

Perks like boil over shouldn't exist, even in its current form. Just remove the effect and make a different perk just like what was done with tinkerer. Perks like boil over do not work. Too much, and it's broken. Too little, it's useless. There is no happy medium for perks like that. I feel similar with boon dark theory. Another perk that isn't very good at all, but if you EVER buff it at all, it's going to become a serious problem.

This isn't so much of a rant but a observation I've since my time playing dead by daylight.
Whenever a new survivor/killer comes out they make some pretty interesting perks that change up game play. I loved that and it made it pretty fun refreshing than using the same 4 perks for years just to win . Then they go and nerf the perk to be mediocre or less viable then you're forced to go back to the same old meta build. I'm no longer interested in getting new survivors or killers it just feels like a waste of time
Rip Boon circle of healing 🙏 💔 😢
Boil over nerf came out of left field though
Only way to change the meta is to nerf all the meta perks to near uselessness. The idea of "Lets powercreep instead" isn't going to fly with anyone who can grasp why power creep is bad.

Speaking purely for myself, I will go into more of a farming mode if someone disconnects right away or proves to be a one-down wuss. This is as much for myself as others. It makes me feel I'm punishing the leaver by making sure the rest of the team walks away with a many points as can be managed.
I'm sure a lot of survivors appreciate that but, for me, I'd rather just die/escape and move on to a real game instead of sitting around farming. If the killer starts farming with my other two teammates, I'll usually just sneak off and finish the gens and leave, if able. I appreciate the thought and all, but it's boring to me and I'd just rather move on to my next match. If I'm playing killer, I'll kill everyone asap for the same reason. The match has been ruined and I want to get to the next one.
I don't even get the "Don't tunnel or anything if there's a DC" Like...why? Do people want the now ruined match to last as long as possible? If it was up to me I'd just end the match.
-
Because there are 3 other survivors so their fun matters more.
-
Don't fix what isn't broke.
-
Because FOV is tied to balance in this game. A slider couldn't exist because who would willingly gimp themselves? Because that's what a slider would be.
-
I don't think they will ever ban someone for the crime of not losing to make you happy.

Pretty sure it's still faster to heal with CoH than with Self-Care.
This nerf didn't solve the main issue with CoH which is that it can be placed INFINITELY. I'd rather see this nerf reverted and have a cooldown on how quickly you can place Boons.
The problem is that such a move is a nerf to all boons, and CoH is the only actual strong one currently. So, you could do it, but you'd likely need to buff the other boons to compensate. I'm not sure something like dark theory is worth bringing at all if it gets permanently removed after one use or something.

Increase loudness of survivor footsteps when they are in deep wound.
I kid. I really don't know.

She doesn't need changes so that she becomes unusable.

I'm afraid that he will become the new nurse for SoloQ = as soon as they see him, people will kill themselves on hook or quit.
That is genuinely like half the cast they do that against.

I think Fred's are far far worse. But they were intentionally made garbage.

Because they think they know far far better than the players.

The game is not dying and is around the same amount of players as march of 2021. Nobody in March 2021 said that the game is dying in fact it was a really good month per the time of year. What happened is that a ton of people played last summer for the Resident Evil chapter and then more came in for October cuz it's a horror game and then it dropped back down to what it was last year. This is totally normal and in fact it's good, the game was never dying nor was it in a bad state last year. It's like the 24th most played Steam game right now. Top 24 games of all of Steam is fantastic.
0% retention rate doesn't sound like a good thing.

It is. We are 1 out of 5. From a business stand point, no sane business would try to please the minority of their customers. They would ideally want to please the most they can.
Then your business fails because you made a business where you cannot serve those 4 people if that 1 person doesn't show up. This line of thinking falls flat because the game flat out cannot be played if that 1 stops playing. You cannot play the game without a killer, hence 10+ minute waits.

Dbd is BHVR'S cash cow. If it's dying, they'll do what they need to to improve game health. Dbd isn't going away anytime soon.
This implies they know what to do.

Because it's hip to be square.

I honestly think it will be non-licensed.

Blinding the killer might be an issue. 🤣
I mean demo has no eyes, Nurse has her eyes covered, and Pyramid head has a giant pyramid on his head. I think we can just ignore it lol

Dead by Daylight Secret Lair for Magic the Gathering. They've already done Walking dead, Stranger things, and Street Fighter. DBD wouldn't be any stretch.

I don't put BP into survivor so I don't really have anything to burn
This. I put BP into my survivor main when I run out of items, which can take a long time. I mean, I can bring offerings to put the basement in a building or whatever, but I don't that;s really all that worth bringing. If I have BP offerings, I bring them. Most other offerings aren't worth using. I also have no desire to send people to awful maps.
-
Absolutely not. They clearly want this because they keep making new glyph challenges that increasingly take more time.
-
Well if they would rather quit, then they should do so, and decrease the surplus survivor population!
In seriouness....
They have the third lowest killrate in the game (and lowest pickrate). I personally enjoy playing against them. A rare treat. People also complain about every tome killer, because no one really enjoys facing the same killer over and over, and tomes encourage that. Also, DCing against Twins during the tome just ensures you see them more as players are then forced to keep playing them to finish their challenges.
-
Because if you don't get a kill by the time they're at about 3 gens, then you've probably lost. And 2 gens can get done before a chase is over.
-
The funniest thing is I've played games from 04 that could manage to reconnect you to the server if your internet only went out for a short time. It's a DBD thing that the game feels you should be fully kicked and get a penalty because your internet hiccuped for even 0.5 seconds.

When is the last time they actually shadownerfed?? Like remember everyone crying they shadownerfed Badham but what a surprise it's a bug !!
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/categories/bugs
Report it there, wait for official confirmation ^
Also know that it likely won't be fixed before the Midchapter patch due to update schedules.
Trickster mid chapter when they changed Charlotte to become intangible after a bit so she couldn't block doorways anymore. It was absolutely not in the notes back then (No clue if they went back and added it) and people on the steam forums had to figure out for themselves it was intended and just not put in the notes.
-
Badham is England. I tend to wonder if that's a coincidence, or a slight reference to Robert Englund, the original Freddy.
-
No. I think the devs just want killers to be weak.
-
That's a mechanic, not a perk. No perk does anything like bloodlust.
-
No perk should become basekit. Radical changes like this aren't helpful or good for the games health.
-
Outdated relic. You get stuff like that when your game is 6 years old and hasn't had any real overhaul ever.

Get rid of SWFs, get rid of ingame chat both pre and post. And get rid of the basement.
I will explain my reasoning. First, SWFs, they were never suppose to be in this game. Look at the game itself, it's designed to be 4 solo Q survivors against 1 killer. And we know this because first 50% of the abilities are based around information where everyone is, and second notice how none of the survivors come with a headset, or a radio? Yea that's by design. SWF has a always been a really bad option in this game, because with SWF the survivors can literally tailor their builds around just telling each other where the killer is, and that's a huge advantage.
Next is chat, chat has never served in any positive light EVER. In pregame it's designed to once again circumvent the ability to play solo Q blindly, and in post game it's designed for trolling, because what else does anyone ever say? If you want people to be able to say GG endgame, just make it a clickable button and remove chat entirely.
And finally the basement. Killers exploit that way WAYYY too much, there are killers like trapper and hag that are designed around that place being inescapable. So yea, it needs to be removed heavily.
You can't remove SWF because if you do then all the SWF people will be sad and they'll quit and the game will die.
Please ignore the game bleeding players caused by bad balance such as allowing SWF.
-
I honestly feel like it's going to be a non-licensed chapter. But who knows.
-
Always was
-
There's a reason I never see hexes in my games anymore when I play survivor.
-
I don't even see ruin/undying much anymore. Pain resonance has largely replaced it in most games I play. I mean I see it, but not even half as often as I did a year ago.
-
In order for the grind to return to where it is now, if you removed perk tiers, it would take a full decade for the grind to return to where it currently is.
A decade
3650 days
87,600 hours
Ten years.
This game is NOT gonna be here in ten years or at least not remotely active.

Nurse is bad at low mmr so they don't care
I mean so is Twins but they nerfed them. Twins only has like a 2% higher killrate than Nurse, and a smaller pick rate. Was good enough to nerf them.
-
You should just be able to interact with the box from multiple angles. Similar was done to hooks long long ago.
This may require changing the look of the boxes and possibly their placement, though.
-
The worst ones are the ones who DC because they went down early. "I'm bad and lost a chase immediately so I am gonna quit!"

Not true. You don't die on the hook any faster when the killer is no chiller and hits you repeatedly; it ain't pretty and is usually a show of bad character, but you could suicide on hook if you chose so, even though most people would hang in there as long as possible in order to spite that spiteful killer.
But waiting at the exit gates for the sole reason that you can do one glorious t-bagging to rub it in that you won, just in case the killer failed to realize it, just wastes massive amounts of everyone's time.
Now that I also play survivors regularly I see so many survivors, mostly with flashlights, that rapid-fire clickety click in the sky outside the exit gate and, of the killer doesn't show up, even run out and go looking for them... But never too far out, because its not about bravely, its all about being a douche.
I know that some players wait to see if someone gets caught by the killer, in order to go for a late save, which is valid, but once all four are save its just childish behavior.
Well, I counter it by being a bit childish myself, ie I walk close enough that they can probably hear their heartbeat and just afk and watch some YouTube on my second screen. Its insaaaaane how many survivors stubbornly insist on their stupid, little victory dance and will wait till the last second.
You forgot that sometimes they'll even toss a pallet that's really close to the exit and then rapidly vault it over and over in an attempt to force the killer to come over to get the notifications to stop. I feel like there should just be some sort of mechanic to block rapid vaults like that. I can't think of any actual situation where you'd need to vault the same pallet like 10 times in five seconds.
-
It's fun when it goes poorly for them. Had a Claudette tbagging and clicking at the gate in one of the last matches I did. I hit her from the side and she fell far enough away from the exit that I could pick her up and take her to a hook. Shame.
I don't really know what you can do to solve the issue, really. Tbagging can have some legitimate tactic during a match. It doesn't at the gate, but if you did something that forced the survivors to leave after too much time in the gate, then you'd be taking away survivors ability to wait at the gate not to taunt, but if other teammates are still out trying to get to the gate, and the survivor wants to not leave until they're sure their teammate is going to make it out.
It would help if tbagging wasn't borderline encouraged.
-
She's rather frustrating to play against a competent team and isn't very good. If she was better, you'd see more of her.
-
I win the next chase instead of losing it.
