Probably because it has an easy counter.

If your rig is so bad that you cannot run a 6 year old game unless it's at like 480p, then you just shouldn't be playing and I don't at all feel bad about saying that. I'd prefer you upgrade over me having to put up with cheating for the 5 people out there who need to run the game on a TI Graphics calculator to still play.
-
It's not fun and the devs have indicated they have no plans in the foreseeable future to make it fun. So I took Cotes advice and I play other games instead. I'll hop on for survivor every now and then but 10 minute queues keep me from doing that more than like twice every couple of days.
-
Extremely minor buff in one aspect, sizable nerf in the other.

It's not the losing that bothers me, it's a killer essentially ruining the game for a player(s) by taking them out of the game at the start and essentially wasting that persons time. Game are supposed to be fun aren't they?
It ruins your game when you have to do chases? I thought survivors said gen repairing was boring and they enjoyed chases? If someone is getting caught then downed so fast that their games are being ruined, it's a skill issue. Also Fortnite is way way way way way more popular than DBD and you can die at the very start of that. Someones gotta be the first to get eliminated. Yet no one goes around crying that their game was ruined and everyone else was a big meanie for daring to eliminate them first. They just go on to their next game and also improve so they don't end up dead the second they drop. DBD is the only game I know of where people have the gall to say their game was ruined because they messed up and died early due to skill issues.
-
You're never going to get your free "let me DC because I got downed early" card so it's best to stop suggesting it. I don't get why every single thread about the DC penalty has some suggestion, no matter how minor, that revolves around removing the penalty. If hackers are so common that you need daily free DC's then go play a different game.

And a killer camping ruins 4 people's games, including their own for ######### BP. Tunneling someone out ruins 4 people's game aswell , and you're also taking into account behaviors current DC system which is ass, in other games they actually protect other team members
"My game is ruined because the opponent tried to win" Yeah I reiterate PVP games may not be your bag

Okay but having the DC penalty allows ppl to actively ruin others games without consequences which is partly behaviors fault
If your game is ruined by you not winning and having fun 100% of the time with everyone pleasing you, then you should not play PVP games. Try L4D2 Co-op mode. PVP games means sometimes you lose and not in the most fair and fun ways. Your issues seem to be toward the idea of PVP games entirely.
-
"Please let me ruin others games without consequence."
Have you considered DBD isn't your type of game and you may prefer Civ 6?
-
Multiple reasons. 1. They are hesitant to give killers anything extremely strong. They prefer to err on the side of caution and make things weak and then buff them later. This was pretty much what happened with blood favor, where they said they made it bad because they were worried it would be strong. Instead it was garbage and still isn't used much at all. 2. This has a strong chance of creating a design failure of a character that they are now stuck with in the game, but everyone despises and wants gone, or a character that just doesn't function right. Twins was a unique killer. They're also a mess who gets screwed over worse and worse with each patch, and is despised by the survivor main playerbase.
-
But that would make the game worse for everyone?
-
It's a worse BBQ without the double BP (The primary reason anyone runs BBQ.) As the first post says, when it activates you are really only getting info on half the team. You already know the other half is at the hook.
-
Because behavior said it's an integral part of the gaming experience.
-
None.
-
Because then they'd do the same thing they do with those perks: Demand they become basekit and primarily using them offensively instead of defensively.
-
I firmly believe a large amount of survivors do not want a PVP game but a co-op PVE game, and they get angry when people play in a way that removes their PVE Co-op experience. They feel they should win because that's how it works in a co-op game. They feel they are supposed to win. The fact they expect the killer to play "just for the chase" and not try to win is further evidence they view the killer as an NPC, and not another player.
-
I have never in my life played Hag and don't have plans to change that.
-
Same reason why "heal tech" is some how not an exploit despite being unintended. Bias.
-
The game is losing players at a concerning rate. It's not close to dead, but losing like half your steam playerbase in half a year isn't really the sign of a thriving healthy game, to me. Some claims of the game being dead also come from new players who only try to play survivor and find out survivor queue can be up to 10 minutes or more.
-
It is for kids and it's a poorly made flash-tier game that makes games on newgrounds look well done. Simon says that plays jumpscare.mp4 while you stare at a still background.
-
The fact you can counter all killers by yourself in a 4 v 1 might be why killer kinda sucks and people don't want to play it and the games numbers are dropping like a rock.
-
She's really bad. I don't see her getting fixed because she needs more than a couple of really tiny buffs, which is the most of what she'll get from PTB to live. See you in 3 years when they take another look at her.

For average player Artist is better than Nurse and Pinhead is S tier. He was obviously not talking about exceptional Nurse players who have 5k hours playing just her. For most players Artist would be better than Nurse. Look at official stats from devs. Notice that Cenobite is at the very top?
Hey many if you want to argue he totally meant Artist wasn't actually better than Nurse, go ahead. He said she had more potential. which would imply someone who spent 5k hours on her should be better than Nurse. Kill rates mean nothing unless you think Nurse needs buffs. Cenobite is at the top because he stomps newbies who can't figure out the box and are at 1200 MMR. If you actually believe Pinhead is among the top 5 best killers, then we are so far apart that any arguing is pointless.
He has bad opinions and basically tries to state every killer released is extremely good. Then they turn out to suck or be really mediocre. People don't need to take his opinions as law. Otz says she's bottom 7. Scott says she's weak. Why don't we listen to them but we listen to the guy who has repeatedly been wrong and has a history of saying mediocre killers are godly?
-
saying it's AFK is just an attempt to try and make it bannable via assumption. Every pig I have seen doing this is not AFK. They are actively sitting there, watching. Many start spamming roars if you get close, or move around to look at you. I have also seen Pigs who immediately go on the offensive once all the traps are off or the gens done, which they wouldn't be able to do if actually afk.
You'd need actual proof of the person afking, which you straight up cannot provide or prove. No one is removing paying customers off of an assumption.
It should be changed, but people should stop trying to pretend it's bannable or anything. It's extremely toxic but not bannable, and will almost certainly get fixed down the line.
-
Behavior isn't good enough to program that and not cause half the game to malfunction.

Actually Dowsey thinks she is a tier and will bring back hit and run, rofl... I am not even kidding. Oh, and I guess Coconut thinks she is not weak. No idea what that means, but you know, some killer mains believe she is pretty dank, apparently.
Dowsey also said that Artist was possibly better than Nurse and Pinhead was S tier.

Some streamers survivors are questionable. Its like bhvr lower their mmr without them knowing because they are an advertisement and don't want to show what the game is like.
I don't have faith behavior could do that without breaking half of the game.

Do what now?

@Triforcer said:
Right now, I get the feeling that people who say she is UP merely use her power to get the first hit, chase the survivor through a few pallets without dematerializing, and then use teleport to go to the other end of the map.
Hint: use teleport offensively during a chase. You start with someone with 3 or 4 passive stacks and teleport in front of them when they are running near a TV? You might turn the game into a 3 on 1 real quick. Played right, it is an RBT you can advance during chases.
I am not saying that makes her a super S tier killer (I think she needs a few mild buffs to condemnation generation), but there is no way we’ve completely learned her yet.
There's a very noticable directional audio queue when she teleports, so you really aren't going to be catching anyone off guard. They can hear the sound and just go the other way. Inserting the tape is so fast you can do it mid chase, so it's not even a threat during chase.

Everyone knows it... Or at least I thought so... You don't need Otz to say that, do you? Anyway, how is it relevant?
Because it appears someone is trying to use otz as some example of skill mattering, so it is relevant that he plays against weaker players that make a lot of mistakes. I think you'd be better off using tru3talent as an example as he plays at the hours shown to have harder survivors.
-
I feel it's relevant to mention Otz has said before that survivors at some of the hours he plays at are notably worse than average.
-
Hard to say. She's bad and the DLC doesn't offer any must have perks. Playing her will just be frustration and getting tbagged.
-
The issue with releasing bad characters is that you want my money for it. Why would I spend money on a character that is essentially a joke character? What motivation do I have to spend my money on a DLC that gives me a weak killer and 6 perks ranging from bad to "ok"? If you're going to make the killer bad, then you need to toss in a meta changing perk to get anyone but diehard players to buy the DLC. Especially when it's cells only. I believe this will be the worst selling licensed DLC and that Sadako will not do anything to reverse the trend of the game consistently losing players every month for about half a year now. Nor will it do anything to reverse the issue of survivor to killer ratio being bad. Basically, the DLC doesn't offer much of anything at all and if you left the game, you have no reason to come back for this DLC.
If you want to sell a product, make it worth the money. If you want to release bad characters, make them free. I genuinely don't consider Sadako C tier. I consider her D tier. I'd have to ponder on if I think she's bottom 5 material. She's a weak mix of a worse Wraith power, worse Freddy power, and old Freddy's handicap. He condem basically doesn't do anything at all unless you intentionally let it. Her power is an easily shut off teleport that might only let you go to places survivors aren't going to be, and a weak stealth for a hit and run in the age of COH. She's bad. She's not "ok C tier." She's bad. Like Trickster was.
-
Because they want easy to beat killers that are not a threat. So they can bully them with ease.
-
She's not very good from my experience, but she's fun to play and play against. But if she doesn't get buffs (and let's be honest, if she does they'll be minimal) you won't see her much at all on live besides the first week of her release. I also feel sales of the DLC will be low because the killer isn't good and there isn't any game breaking must have perk.
-
That's a future Stanley cup winner right there.
-
People really cling to this "anti camp" thing mentioned off hand once multiple Q&A's ago and not mentioned yet, and that has been tried before and never works (which they even mentioned in that Q&A) but people who really hate camping are clinging to this like it's100% a done deal and going to make it in. If it's coming, I wouldn't expect it until the end of the year.

What a loaded comment. Anyone commenting on this is automagically contrarian now.
tbh though they shouldn't remove the grind. They should base the price of just buying perks outright after you unlock them on how long the grind should be, imo, but I can see the complaint of a new player coming into it and noping out, and definitely shouldn't make it buy to play.
Yes I think anyone defending the grind is absolutely contrarian or very very uninformed of things, as there is no actual good reason to have a grind system worse than F2P Gacha games.
-
Good. Remove the entire thing. It's worthless.
-
Why would you add in the villain of the third game and not the character in the games title?
-
It's amusing to me to see anyone defend the grind. Makes me think some people will defend anything just to be contrarian.

You hit the nail on the head. For some reason, Survivors have decided that THEY get to decide when they win, and anything that goes against this is somehow not balanced, unfun, toxic, or whatever new buzzword they will invent tomorrow.
This is the only game where I've seen players decide THEY can invent a new win/loss condition, and expect it to be enforced in the game's balance.
I actually made that post before reading this thread at all and was amused to go back and read it and see the exact "game ends when gens done" talking point used seriously.
-
People feel they have won once the generators are done. If the killer wins after the gens are done, they feel like their win was stolen from them and the killer doesn't deserve it because he lost all the gens. They also feel the killer didn't do anything to get it despite playing with 3 perks for 90% of the game.
NOED exists in this weird state where people insist that killers don't deserve kills with it and are bad, but also that they can't do bones to stop it because the killer is too good and pressuring gens.
-
At least disabling her indicates it will be fixed very soon.
-
@FFirebrandd said:
No.
Here's the deal. Perks like NOED, Fire Up, Coup De Grace, and Spirit Fury that turn on when you're struggling are NOT a bad thing. If one prefers trials that are longer, less snowbally, and more of a back and forth... perks that help slow down or stop a snowball is exactly what you want.
Does anybody like one sided stomps anyway? I know I don't. I am GLAD that perks like those exist... even if NOED can be annoying with the way it comes out of nowhere and can wreck you.
It's this feeling that if you are doing well for so long or for most of the game, a sudden comeback is "robbing you" of your "rightful win." It's this entitled view that you are owed a win because you had been doing well, and if it suddenly turns around, then your win was stolen when you deserved it. In this game that seems to happen most often when people die post-gate being powered. I feel a lot of survivors think the game ends when the gens are all done and all the time after that is fun play time until they want to leave.

I think its freddy dont get me wrong he is my favorite killer but he is really weak.
First his power have no effect if survivor are awake and if they took an alarm clock they cant go to sleep for another 30 sec even if you hit them.
Blood pool you slow the survivor by 15% that nice and all but you slow yourself by 15% too that kinda bad.
Blood pallet depending of the map you will need to break pallet before you can use them.
The tp you can use the tp only 1 time per minute but you cant use it at the start of the game. You cant tp on a complete gen or a block gen when the gen so even if the tp is the best part of his power the thing is so restrictive its not worth the long cd.
We enter the addon department now most of his addon are worthless the only decent addon for now are the one that reduce the cd on his tp. The catch survivor need to be asleep for that addon to activate. Before the last nerf most freddy user use the chain addon that was not because the addon were op but mostly because he had nothing better with the change to those addon some player realise this.
So yeah for those reason i believe freddy is the worst killer in the game. If they dont want to bring old freddy back that fine even if i will hate them for that but they should at least rework all is addon to make them more appealing to the freddy player and not a waste of bp.
Yeah, it's impossible for a character with map wide teleportation to "be the worst"
-
Because it's a hex. Are you suggesting to no longer have it as a removable hex, so that it is always guaranteed to go off and always guaranteed to last a certain amount of time?
Also why shouldn't the survivors have to work toward removing NOED?
-
I leave. I have no responsibility to die with my teammates. Same thing I'm gonna do if the killer has NOED and is just camping around the hook. I'm outta there.
Did they have any chance to get the trap off before it activated, and simply didn't?
