  • There's not much to it, really. The "special spawning hook/gen" is done in almost every single event. The "Pumpkin smash" is just recycled from kicking the gnome, and there's not a big benefit from hunting down and kicking pumpkins at all. The tome is just an extra tome, there's nothing super special about it besides the unlockables. I don't dislike the event but I feel there could be a lot more to it. I wish there was more point to the pumpkins.

  • Felt I should leave this here instead of making a new thread since it's the same issue, different killer. I played Nemesis with the add on, and it let me use it at the start and also after my first hook. After that, it no longer triggered. The add on was still equipped.

There could be an issue with most of them being Public Domain. I'm not sure how such laws work in other countries. And technicalky, a few of the ones you listed are owned by Universal. The Creature from the Black Lagoon and Wolfman.

And in general, I think BHVR would prefer to make their own original concepts based On Vampire, werewolves, stuff like that.

Technically, BHVR already have mentioned Dracula. Just the 'actual' Dracula, Vlad the Impaler.

Why would them being public domain be an issue? Anyone can legally make stuff involving Dracula and Frankenstein. Mary Shelly has been dead for centuries and Bram stoker for over a century now. They just need to make the characters look unique/like their novel versions, and not borrow anything from established copyrighted works like universal. Many famous IP's use Dracula, such as Marvel Comics and Castlevania. A werewolf could be done, as that's just a mythological creature. The Wolfman as portrayed in the film from the 40's, wouldn't be allowed, though. Same with the Creature.

  • It's behaviors design philosophy. If a character is too much of a problem, they don't try to fix or rebalance them. They just gut the character to the point they're so bad that no one really plays them and thus, no one really complains about them anymore. If they legally could just delete a killer, they'd do so. Billy and Slinger aren't the only ones to suffer at the "We consider you a failed design, so we're murdering you." design philosophy.

  • Survivors disliking Pinhead really makes me believe most survivors really find "Hold M1 on a gen" is the most fun aspect of DBD. I find Pinhead very fun because he forces the rest of the team and I to do something different. He makes the game feel fresher and adds a mini-objective so it's not the same exact thing like with most other killers. Also hoarder was considered the worst perk in the game before Pinhead, and nothing was changed about the perk, so why nerf hoarder? Honestly if it's that big of a problem, delete the perk, replace it with a new one (been done before: see tinkerer) and accept that hoarder was a failed design.
