Numerous killers have killer specific bugs that will likely never be fixed. Clown has his bottles randomly give out the wrong bottle type when thrown sometimes. And the house of pain basements can disable his antidote. Both bugs remain.
-
The time to bless should go up with each reblessing. First time, standard length. Second time maybe it goes up 4 to 8 seconds, and then another 4 to 8 and so on until the bless time is so long that a survivor would be blessing for a minute plus to activate it again. I don't see why this would be unfair for the perks user, and I don't even know if this would stop the perks from being OP. It would also make the boon user think more about their placement since reblessing isn't as easy.

This sounds like a case of Just do bones lol
survivors cant destroy ruin in 2 seconds
So, tunnel the survivors? Isn't that super bad and mean though?
-
Dracula, Frankenstein, Pennywise. Yes they have films, but they are inherently literary characters.
-
Pretty much the only people who don't feel that way are content creators that exclusively play survivor, and low MMR players. Playing killer at high MMR, it's basically impossible to feel otherwise. Survivors always have the advantage.
-
Not going to stop me from tunneling every boon user viciously.

Nah. But if I see that said Content Creator was already lying in a Tweet OR did not understand basic mechanics of the game, I will not waste my time watching a video of said content creator.
You would not do that either.
And another large content creator suggested bringing small game against trapper months after the trap aspect was removed. Doesn't make his observations, data, or tests invalid just because he was wrong about one other thing. You can literally SEE the tentacle hit in the video get eaten when the survivor dead hards at the pallet. This never happened before. You would hit the survivor or the pallet. That is the intent of the killers power. You can't just go "He's wrong because he said this wrong thing before" when we can SEE IT HAPPENING.
-
@Johnny_XMan said:
Yes it’s fine.
I’ve gathered that pretty much only players who get annoyed by it think otherwise.
Annoyance is not a valid reason to think something is unbalanced.
I don't see why my tentacle hit shouldn't break a pallet if I hit you at a downed pallet and it "missed" you due to dead hard. Doesn't the pallet normally break if I miss you there? Oddly, it doesn't if you dead hard and I get validated. Very fair.

The perk is beyond busted in power. There is no actual good reason to not run it since it's just a third health state and better than any other perk by many magnitudes.
-
People use it because it is the only free mask that you can tell is different. Jake and Dwight's faces are hard to tell from the survivor POV and Meg's is only obvious if he's face camping you. Your other options are to spend 5 dollars in the store. Some people just want a mask that other players can tell is unique. And they don't want to spend 5 dollars on it. I used the Claudette mask years back for this exact reason. People could tell I had a special cosmetic on. IMO if you're going to remove the Claudette one you need to remove all of them.
It's also up to the license holder to agree to the removal, which they have no reason to.
-
So, nothing is changing?
-
Yes, it is broken. Just in an intentional way.

What competitive game? DBD? Hell na, not even close to being a competitive game. Also i didn't say noed is op or something, i just see a lot of bad killer that can't run a tile properly as killer and can easily tunnel 1 person for 3-4 gens only to lose the game for no reason.
Yes, noed inflates elo and guess what if you run it because the survivors destroy you, you probably shoudn't use it in order to gain elo because you will have less fun being destroyed by even better survivors.
You don't need to consider it competitive but I will because words have meanings.

Stay competitive for what reason? To then come on forum and cry about how broken survivors are at high elo? Literally 1/2 of ppl at high elo use noed and have inflated elo because of that; also most of them tunnel 1 person for a few gens and then lose the game if the survivors arent dumb and just do the gens when the killer has 0 preassure.
Why would you play if you don't intend to win?
-
If you have a boon, I am going to tunnel you out. No other way to permanently remove them. Blame Behavior for such short sighted design. The fact you were playing the Boon Witch only further indicates that's the reason.
-
Yes.
-
Get rid of boons and I'll stop tunneling you and making sure you die on your first hook. If I know you have a boon perk because I saw you blessing or saw you running from that area right after a bless, then you're getting focused out of the game. Why? Because that is the only way to permanently rid the match of these absurdly strong perks.
-
I wonder if behavior will notice that every single "I'm taking a break" "I'm quitting" etc posts are made by people who play killer, and their posts always talk about how unfun killer is now. Just seems like a pattern, you know? All the people claiming to have no fun play killer, and those who think things are fine seem to mainly play survivor. Might suggest something is unfun for one side.
-
Legion.
-
If you have circle of healing, tunneling you is probably a good idea since the killer is forced to commit to every chase with it up, and getting the boon user out of the game is the only way to permanently disable it. So that's probably part of it.
-
Overpowered, unfair, unfun, and poorly designed and rushed.
-
The devs design intent seems to be that you should be a survivor main and only play killer every now and then, maybe for a challenge or points. I do not at all believe they intended for or want people to be "killer mains"
-
Never happening.
-
I agree. Bring back OG Mettle of Man, too, since that also was a new perk that was good and would change the meta. Don't get why it was changed. Devs must just love the meta.
-
Unequip DH and circle of healing then.
-
There are 3 viable high level killers. Nurse, Spirit, Blight. No one else can compete at high level.
-
@TheArbiter said:
And people tried to tell me this wasnt a buff to dead hard
Anyone who says otherwise is lying to themselves. We've now had both DH and BT buffed this year. Should we predict the inevitable DS and Unbreakable buffs?
-
No, but it makes it a free win for survivors so here it is.

Nurse does not need a nerf. The state she is in is fine.
If the most powerful killer needs no nerfs then zero killers in the game need nerfs.
-
There's no reason to not use the most powerful perk in the game by many magnitudes.

Did people forget how Dead Hard worked just because it actually functions properly now???
So we'd have no issue removing the I-frames right, since it's not supposed to be used that way anyways, right?

Im a good survivor and killers still can easily get kills with it even eith a good survivor team. The perk isnt OP.
That's cool you're a good survivor but your killer MMR if you do not play killer is nothing, and you are being matched with low skill survivors. The people complaining are likely at high MMR, which you are not. So it's very skewed to present your experience as the norm when we could easily just assume you 4king over and over at bottom MMR is because you aren't brand new to the game like the survivors you are probably being matched with. I'm not even trying to say you are bad or something. I'm saying the MMR system is matching you against brand new people (if working right) and not the 4 man SWF squads you generally see people complain about. Your anecdote is flawed because one can safely assume you aren't facing the same type of players as high MMR killers are.
-
If you don't play killer at all then that means your MMR is like 1200 or whatever the starting is and you're going against literal babies.
-
Like they're going to have to bring in the friday the 13th game match making where it would just decide you were playing Jason that round. Since no one is willingly going to want to play killer in the future besides the content creators who get paid to.
-
@Leachy_Jr said:
Last time we got a sole survivor it was Ash, and for those who weren't around to experience old Mettle of Man it basically gave you a free health state.
On it's own it was already incredibly strong, when all 4 survivors had it however it became one of if not the most broken stacked perk in the games history besides maybe release SB or We'll make it.
(and yes, some people on this forum unironically defended it)
I know from a business standpoint it's the right thing to do, as survivors aren't that much different from each other in a technical sense so the only reason to buy the chapter is for the perks.
Just for the love of god please don't turn the game into a Totem defence game with overpowered boon totems, or turn it into a month (or months depending on how long it takes to get changed) of stomp every killer at high mmr with the new shiny perk, as if killers don't already get stomped.
Thanks.
But....then no one would buy the DLC. Behavior needs to line their pockets, bro.

Just because you had a bigger latency doesnt mean your hit was true, lol. Hit validation is here to fix those bs hits you were abusing.
Why should people be punished for not living close enough to one of the 4 or 5 servers behavior employs for the 9 and a half million square mile continent of North America?
-
Yeah, it's either going to need to be reverted or have the perk nerfed. I don't expect it to get fixed any time in the next 6 months though.
-
No. Game is unplayable as survivor with penalty off.
-
Yeah, pretty close to just finding something else to play. It seems heavily like the design philosophy of the devs is that players should main survivor and only switch to killer every now and then.

It's so funny I just resubbed to elder scrolls online and bought 4 expansions!
I'm glad they made sure to time these changes with the Phasmophobia update so I had something else to play!
-
At this point dead hard is so powerful that you are actively hurting your team by not equipping it.
-
I'm a very big supporter of Thana, Surge, Corrupt, Deadlock on Legion. The idea is to slow the gens down without needing to rely on removable hexes, or constantly kicking gens. The gens will either slow down due to thana, slow down due to getting blocked by deadlock, or get surged. This lets me focus on downing survivors rather than on popping gens or defending ruin. I had used Thrilling tremors, but deadlock and thrilling tremors have negative synergy and can negate each other.
I tried blood favor and it just gets cleansed before I even get use out of it. Hexes are so fragile that they need to basically be game winners to be worth running.

@nikodemo said:
The person who hurt you and ruined your fun wasn't the killer, it was another survivor.
Why don't you try to tell the surv community to stop DCing and leaving their party in the lurch?
Because a lot of the types who complain the killer didn't throw the match when someone DC'd, are the same who will DC when they get downed early, or if the map/killer isn't to their liking. If people admitted it was survivors hurting each other by doing DC's, they'd likely have to admit that means they are hurting others when they themselves DC. By just blaming the killer for not picking up the slack, the survivor can avoid any guilt from leaving their teammates. It's not THEIR fault, it's the KILLERS fault.
-
This game can crash PC's with bluescreens, crash or corrupt drivers, and uninstall itself after crashes. I'm not shocked it can brick entire consoles. I don't know if behavior is legally responsible for it, though.
-
Shake up the meta by nerfing the current meta to make it obsolete. Introducing stuff even more broken than the meta perks people already complain about, is pretty silly. I'm not sure why you'd think when people said they are sick of OP meta perks, it means they want new perks way stronger than the ones they already hate facing. Power creep like that is the sign of a game that has past its prime.
-
The one at 12 seconds seems to be bad desync, with how the guy just disappears. I haven't had bad desync recently but it was a problem on Lery's and Temple of purgation months back.

How can they lose the gens if the survivors aren't able to do them because of never ending chains?
If someone is looping pinhead with the box, then the 3 other survivors aren't having chains. The hunt stops for the other survivors if one just holds onto the box. So if you are a god tier looper you can just grab the box, loop Pinhead for the whole game, and he doesn't ever get a chain hunt on the others. He is effectively denied his power unless he can catch you. Sure, that one survivor has to deal with chains, but the chains are really only an issue when doing gens/healing/doing totems. They're easily avoidable while being chased. So you just occupy his time looping him, easily avoid the chains, and let your 3 teammates hammer out the gens.
