Pyramid head is strong, idk what world you're living in; the ability to down survivors quickly and spam the ability that does so with basically no penalty AND the ability to tunnel someone to death right off the bat?

Trying to start an argument are we?
No sir, not falling for that.
You're...literally the one starting it...????????

The new gen sounds are painful to hear, even if they were to get dialed down. It needs reverting to the previous version; the new sounds added in the 4.2.0 patch were great.

@AbsolutelyAmel said:
Anyone else find the new gen sounds really loud and unpleasant to hear?
It's very obviously the sounds of a car starting which really bothers me since its a gen and not a car. 😂
Yes, it's ######### awful. Idk what they were thinking adding that when the new sounds were already a great addition. Please revert, devs. It makes doing the most painful thing in the game, even more painful. And we're forced to do it for large amounts of time at once.

Not in my experience. I have found, in a rather long life at this point, that there is a direct correlation.
Got to agree. There are exceptions, but not many at all.

Sucks for you if you can't drop pallets earlier and not run in the open where there is nothing you can cover behind from his shots
You realise that most maps spawn with massive deadzones quite often, right?

What horror movie has killers running face first into walls?
Read what I said again, please. :)

RIght now, my main concern is if they were able to break the DLC curse.
I pray they are able to make a map that actually fun and fair for both sides, but if it's another Midwich, again, I won't be surprised.
I don't believe there is a new map

The new killer is.......... Not creative nor interesting. Run fast and can hit people?? We already have legion. The new survivor looks interesting, but the perks are garbage. Same goes for killer. This new chapter is disappointing.
Wdym? His power is clearly inspired by creatures from horror movies that are able to bounce off walls and ceilings, however this game is limited in that regard so they turned it into something that works within the constraints of the game and honestly, it's quite interesting. Idk if it's good or not, but I like the idea.

Nope, this was fixed around a year ago.

I have to agree that I'm scared this will be the case, however Oni is one of the more recent killers and, imo, is probably the best designed killer in the game. He's fun to play both as and against, even when players on both sides are skilled. Executioner and Deathslinger, though, reek of really badly thought out ideas.
(That said, deathslinger is definitely an easy fix: give him ADS and remove quickscope and suddenly he'll feel better to play while also simultaneously better to play against)

So we have a ton of white characters because, obviously. But for POC characters we have Jane, Zarina, and Ace maybe. Three... we only have three POC characters. The same is with black characters... the three black characters are, claud, Tapp and Adam. Which is even worse because we only have ONE black woman which is the most hated group of people for some reason even though they’re the prettiest on the planet. And the Tapp is a licensed character so they didn’t even take the time to design the character and choose the race so practically there’s only two. And then theirs two Asians. Come on bhvr gives us more POC! And if you have a new chapter idea and survivor who is white just change them to black. It costs no effort whatsoever
Jake, Yui and Feng also exist. Ace isn't a POC.
-
Last Tome, I didn't play for a good month, and didn't end up finishing all the challenges. I still got to tier 70...It may require you play a fair bit, but not as much as people here are implying by any stretch.

@Zozzy said:
DG had two releases. the first release was a flop because nobody wanted to play hunter as runners could stun lock the hunter and just bully the ever loving hell out of them.
Second release the hunter was powerful and the game practically required voice chat on the runners side to win so nobody wanted to play runner.
I suspect that this is why they keep survivors to strong and decent killers are being gutted in dbd because they are afraid that this game will go the same way if they actually balance the game.
Killer is being buffed constantly. They aren't gutting the best killers by any stretch.
-
Sloppy butcher is pretty good on the Oni as it means that even if they heal right away, survivors leave more blood orbs.
As above, thrilling plus either pop goes the weasel of Hex:ruin is a great combo! I wouldn't personally rate STBFL on him, though.

I don't understand why they can't just hire more people to optimize the game the way it should be, they're obviously have steady funds coming through with their DLC and cosmetic store so why not invest some of the earnings from those resources to hire more staff to get the game in a healthy state. It's kinda redundant.
Same reason they don't bother to fix game breaking bugs like rank update error, (directly related to dedicated servers, btw, and has exited for a year) of course; there's no money in that.

@Mellow7 said:
Frames have been ######### ever since the new engine update, and slowing been declining in quality over time.
Not just console. PC has been getting issues too. Indoor maps, especially new Lery's, are the worst for this. And my PC is mid-range, but would have been high range when DBD actually came out. xD
-
It's a trash system; it goes up or down based on 'wins' but they haven't stated what qualifies as a win.
One game I'll go against a baby killer with baby teammates, and the next I go against a clearly skilled killer but still have blatantly baby teammates. I win both, but the next game I get a baby killer, you guessed it, with baby teammates. It's random, and not functioning on bit.
The level 1 vs high level thing is 100% a coincidence.
-
Yes. By nature of being RNG, it has happened. With and without the add-ons that make it impossible to get the trap off in time if it's active before you've attempted at one of the boxes.

Why is this outfit split between the two tracks? Head piece is earned for free at Tier 70, while the shirt is given at Tier 1 of the paid track and the pants are also somewhere in the paid track.
Same thing happened for the last two rifts at least, so it's not surprising.
-
I mean, I've P3'd half the survivors and killers, and began playing around early 2018, but got into the game late that year, not too long after spirit came out. I wish I had the ability to earn these skins...or that they'd bring out new versions for the non-licensed killers and survivors that have since coming out. Legacy Oni would be sick.

Forcing us to rely on teammates to do a goddamn challenge for us is absolutely ridiculous.
Just had a match where in the pregame I said what challenge I was doing, asked them to leave me on hook if I'm hooked in the end game. What do I get? 3 ######### crouch in a circle around the shack while I'm camped in the basement until I die then leave, and write in the post-game "lol like we care what you say."
This is categorically not a challenge that you can possibly obtain by your own merit, it is entirely based on other peoples decisions and it SUCKS.
I think the worst part is that thise piece of ######### challenge is only worth 3 rift shards and 15k BP, as if.

1. It's not possible to hide behind generator auras anymore with the new aura system. Even prior to this I was always able to see auras through gens. The intensity fades slightly when BBQ runs out which you can use to know where survivors are.
2. Thrilling has a cooldown. So you get less use off of it than from BBQ.
3. Even though you don't care about other survivors, it's always good to know where they are. Information is key and you can always ignore them and go for the people on gens.
4. Thrilling activates when you pick survivor up. You need to hook the survivor which takes some time. After you finish hooking, the information you have is not fresh. It's on average 8-12s old than what you get with BBQ and they could be anywhere at that point.
You mean the impossible to see auras? Nice try. :)
I run thrilling a lot, with or without a slowdown perk, and that information has served me to maintain rank 1 on multiple killers, even ones considered weak, vs plenty of toxic squads.
-
Gives more info on generators; bbq doesn't always show survivors properly if they're on a generator, and you don't care about survivors that are running around the map doing nothing productive as a rule unless it's the last survivor; you want to pressure the generators that are being worked, and if you know a gen has been worked on and is nearly done, for example, you can scare them off it and pick a survivor up to buy you time to pop it since they can't work on it.
BBQ is good for points, nothing more. The aura is useful rarely, imo.

Unfortunately its not a bug, but I suspect they didnt test and they didnt expect it to be so bad. And thats the issue, not testing.
I dont understand the point of having a ptb if you arent going to use it. If i were emporer of bhvr thered be something/somethings being tested in ptb by players every couple of weeks
There is literally a job that involves testing for every possibilty so that this many bugs can't get through. Sure, even with very rigorous testing there might be some, but barely a handful. Yet somehow they completely skipped aura reading, one of the most important parts of the game...QA is a thing, Bhvr. Please hire people to actually do it.
-
Weirdly I very rarely run any of the above perks (sometimes I'll put on PGTW or BT if I've been having tougher games) and I win most of the time with fun/memey builds. But when I see the same perks over and over again, including the smol pp builds for both sides, it exhausts me.

She appears to phase in and out of existence whilst walking around; basically these add-ons make it so that she does so more often. They're add-ons that basically do the mindgames for her in loops.

Then they should also ban combining second chance perks on survivors.
Most survivors wouldn't have an issue with this since it doesn't affect them; it mostly affects the insecure 4 man SWF players.

Oh no they do. I've seen it. After staring for 16 seconds at a YouTube video I could zoom in as close as I needed to.
My eyesight is #########, though, and if you expect me to stand staring at a spirit for 16 seconds trying to make out with my monitor then idk what to tell you. I'd rather dc than screw my eyes even more.
They don't when her power is activated, however. It's random animation, as are all of her animations.

Again, nobody plays nurse anymore. If you can't loop an Oni i'm not sure what you're doing. Huntress and especially freddy are complained about pretty regularly. Not so much huntress anymore as shes been out long enough that I think most have just accepted it. Clown...I don't know what to say if someone were to complain about going against clown lol. Spirit is not hard to go against. I'd much rather face a spirit than a good billy, than anyone with 2 hands playing freddy, an annoying legion, a camping hag, etc.
As an Oni/Legion main, I assure you, the Oni has plenty of ways around loops, including interesting forms of mindgame that come as a result of his power's strength. There's a reason he doesn't have it 24/7.
-
@GoodBoyKaru said:

And yet they break the cycle of loop loop pallet repeat. Nurse blinks and Oni with his power can curve you from so far away and hit you. Huntress and freddy also make looping a lot more dangerous to try, and clown requires you to play stealthy because if you're in a chase you're going to die soon or use up every resource you have.
The thing is, nobody complains about these killers, or of they do they're not aware of the way around them. Spirit has nothing like this. You shouldn't need to run a perk or two to deal with her, I've never seen shards glow and my eyesight is awful so I never will be able to, she moves no grass or corn, makes no footsteps because sounds are bugged, and has no consistent tell as to when she's phasing (since from what I've seen before the shards don't even light up on several skins). Bearing in mind trying to see the shards took a solid 16 seconds. If you're standing that close for even 4 you're being hit.
You've enver seen her shards glow because they don't; people who claim this are those that refuse to let her be balanced because they want easy games.

There is no logic or reasoning to what they are doing with "Add on reworks" (Code name for gutting the killer) so anything goes at this point.
Yes, there is. They said all along that they wanted all add-ons for every killer to have a certain number of each rarity, and that while doing the pass on each killer, they would also look at tuning them if they felt they were problematically strong or weak. That is why they changed the nurse, and that is why they are changing Bubba and Billy.
-
Hate to break it to you, but she already has the correct add-on combination, in terms of rarity. She ain't getting one until they decide they want to change how killer add-ons work.

Survivor is playable without SWF, you go to the main menu then choose play as survivor and hit "Ready".
I didn't say it's not? Read again what I said. Although it really is a horrific experience solo queue.
-
The devs aren't biased towards SWF, they just don't know how to nerf it without making survivor unplayable, so they're trying to buff perks like kindred into being very useful. In doing this, they can appropriately nerf all survivorsif necessary if the gap gets closed enough. But for now, that isn't the case.

If you're far away, you hear the phasing noise.
If you're close, you don't hear anything at all.
If you see her, she shimmers white which is hard to miss.
If she's phasing, you can still hear her footsteps and bushes move.
There are a lot of ways to tell that she is phasing, a lot of people just don't pay attention.
No, nothing changes when she phases if you see her.
You're supposed to be able to hear her footsteps, but majority of the time you can;'t because of the same soundbugs people that abuse her complain aboutl
-
Unique effects. I find they actually shake up the gameplay and it makes it feel like you're going up against or playing as an entirely different killer; an example is hag. She has like 3 different playstyles depending on add-ons and body blocking hag is incredibly fun to play. Basically, it adds some depth and makes it even more mysterious when you see a killer who has these types of add-ons. That said I find add-ons and perks that make survivors scream incredibly obnoxious. And nurse's add-on I always find makes me (and a bunch of friends) lag massively when she blinks through me, meaning she gets a guaranteed hit afterward.
I find some of the raw number add-ons can break killers, like how ghostface has driver's license that makes him impossible to break out of his power unless you're literally inside him already.
-
If a killer wasn't scummy and I see another survivor teabag at the exit gate after they got saved by someone else, I always wish the killer could get them tbh. I empathise with the other side whenever I play either role since I play both, tbh.
-
I may not be much of a fan, but he is good at the game.
I agree about his view on Ghostface. He's definitely one of the strongest, and Bubba is definitely underrated although definitely not top tier.

The hits are really weird, the amount of spins I've got but they hit me while facing the opposite direction is so odd. Plus, my friend was playing Lerys earlier with me in a KYF, and he told me the FPS drops like mad as a survivor.
Yeah, ever since Lery's got reworked, I've been unable to play on that map properly as either killer or survivor because of the constant frame drops.

@Poweas I've only played the new map like twice, but yes, the hits are back and the servers feel awful tbh; game health seems even worse than ever.

We should also fix his broken and bad add-ons. That would be referencing Frank's Mix Tape, Stab Wound Study and all the Killer Instinct Range add-ons.
Remove power drain on basic attack and lessen the darkening of the screen. Maybe have FF drain 50% of the power gauge if you miss once, then cancel if you miss again. It can be really hard to hit, especially on console.
I've noticed recently that I get sucked back towards pallets and some vaults whenever I vault over them, not sure if that is intended or a bug.
That's just some stuff of the top of my head, I made a full rework thread a while back, but I believe the Devs said Legion will not be getting a rework so :(
All these changes would be great on PC, too. Especially the power drain and deep wounds darkness. Both are really frustrating.
-
Yes. As someone who plays both roles at rank 1, she is incredibly easy to do well with. It's boring, so I don't play her much, but when I do for a daily or challenge, it's just...easy. Even 4 man SWF deathsquads aren't that bad when you play as her.
-
@Peanits said:

You have to record footage to prove this, as well as use the ingame report and then go to DBD support (if you google it'll come up) to add extra details to an existing report. If you don't have footage, they'll refuse do even look at what they have.
