Huntress ones were how you'd normally play her except for the get 15 hits in one match. You either had to primarily use hatchets and screw around or farm for that one.
5 FF hits was pretty much, get the entire team, then hit the last guy again. Easier in practice. I did the safe way and hit the 5th person when they bandaged themselves out of deep wounds. There are add-ons that extend FF duration, so it's just a matter of tagging them at that point.
Against semi competent survivors, the FF one isn't going to happen, tbh. And this was the issue. There are maps that are gigantic and thus it is very difficult for legion to hit every survivor once with FF in the first place.

Yea that was redic. I really dont understand why that was a thing. Or six trapper traps in one match.
It's as if they forget what red rank gameplay is like for killers, honestly lmao. As if people won't split vs Legion or be wary of the locations where the Trapper has been. xD

They've gotten worse for each and every new Rift. And I imagine that BHVR will put Halloween stuff in a Rift and force us to complete it if we want any goodies. They did so last year. It sucks. Rift is the sole reason why I am barely playing the game anymore.
I'd argue the worst was tome 3, tbh. Sniping so many times in a single game as huntress for only 3 fragments? Get 5 FF hits in one use of FF? Wat?
But that tome made up for it by not being as grindy overall to complete the rift. Tome IV was ass for that.

Blight's rush is so easy to counter and dodge that people calling him A tier is ridiculous, in my opinion. Mobility alone doesn't make a killer good; take Demogorgon, for example. Blight's power takes lots of skill and prediction to use, I'm sure, but the fact of the matter is his rush can be dodged by simply moving two inches to the left or right, or going behind a wall. I don't play Blight too often ever since his collision got bugged about a week or two ago, but I've gone against him multiple times as survivor, and I think I've died to him, like, two or three times. Out of about 15-20 games. I can understand that some of them aren't good Blights, but it's been the better part of a month since his release and I've went against a few prestiged Blights, and they didn't really perform any better either. This is just my experience but any potential for skillful play seems hampered, like PH if going for creative shots, by the fact the effort on the survivors' side to avoid the attack is a fraction of the effort on the killer's side to land the attack.
To be honest, I think this is another Wraith scenario where the killer is said to be amazing and god tier as long as you run a very specific perk build, obviously ruin-undying-tinkerer. Just giving him a little bit more turning on his actual attack would be great; not enough for flicks or real corner turns like Oni, because that would obviously be making him too strong and maybe uncounterable, but just like a 15-20 degree increase or something similar, because right now even if I get out-positioned I can just turn slightly and he can't hit me in almost all cases. It's ridiculous and makes going against him often a breath of relief, like when you get Demogorgon or Wraith or something and you know it's going to be an easy game. I genuinely feel bad for him. I understand it needs to be capped to stop him from being overwhelming, but man, this feels like Oni's turning nerf all over again.
*Edit: Just to clarify, I'm not looking for tips on how to play Blight, I can do that fine enough although he's not my favourite. I'm just asking for why people consider his lethal rush to be so powerful despite the fact it can be easily dodged/predicted with little effort.
Because you clearly haven't gone up against a Blight that knows how to use his power properly, clearly.

Insulting, condescending, whatever, don't know what to tell you if you don't see it.
The console part isn't true in the slightest. There's both good and bad players regardless of platform.
And a free advice for you and op: turn crossplay off if console players ruin your precious experience.
Right, I'm going to point out something you don't understand I'm saying: this is the average experience of the common player. That said, some of the best survivors I've come across were sweat squads from crossplay, and I've seen a couple of insane console killers, but for the most part this isn't the case.
I don't care to remove them from my games; I honestly don't personally care - this is just observation that will likely change as time goes by and more people on different platforms have more time to learn the game. Fact is, I shouldn't be seeing people I perceive as a 'baby' in my games at rank 1, in either role, but I do on the regular. My experience is more an issue with matchmaking / ranking than it is with the platform, I'm well aware.
But ok, go be offended by observation of a demographic. :)

It isn't true, people don't seem to realise with console players that it's the player, not the platform.
In a casual game of dbd, PC gives barely any advantages.
Right, but on average, common experience is that people from those platforms tend not to act very experienced, which is the point. I didn't at all point toward the issue being the platform itself.

Restricting options in a game where you have to spend literally hundreds of hours in order to gain those options will never be a good idea.

You need to stop thinking of the game as a 1v1 and realize it's a 1v4
Tunneling is not viable because you lose. Sure you probably kill that 1 survivor. But now you lose and depip.
Dodging is a terrible argument and you know it is. Again. I bring up what I said before. If something is balanced because it can be dodged why not have an item that just instantly completes all 5 gens. I mean. If you see it just dodge right?
Lastly. I wasn't comparing them. Stop straw manning. I'm saying that prevalence is not a good argument for balance. Because what if there was an item that existed that instantly won the survivor team the game and gave them 32k bloodpoints but it was so rare it only shows up on 1% of games. Is that fair? Is that balanced? Is it healthy? No. It's not.
While I don't think it's the best 'strat,' tunneling regularly nets bad killers easy wins, even in red rank games.
keys are an issue, and I hope that when they and moris finally get changed, they still give a glimmer of this 'hope' mentioned by the OP while not being so gross to go against.
-
@Stinde said:
You lost all credibility by insulting both console and killer playerbases, good job, if this even had any.
Another dynamic into the game.. Yes, a negative one just like moris.
He...didn't attack the killer playerbase whatsoever, and as for the console part: it rings true, tbh. Unless it's a toxic 4 man or the odd actual good console killer, almost every time I've had console players in my game, they've been a big hinderance to the role they're playing.
-
@Hoodied said:
I really don’t feel like repeating myself but I will
Devs are looking into moris at the moment, they are harder to balance than you think as the “2 hook then mori” will make them useless
It would literally allow them to circumvent sabo, DS, pallet saves, flashlight saves. Far from useless.

If he seems slower, it's a bug or just how it feels, because the only change they made to his base kit was adding the overheat mechanic...

As a killer why are there so many ways that playing against a SWF forces you to de-pip. Healing loses you points and SWF always bring perk combos like botany and we're gonna make it for instaheals. You are punished for losing someone in a chase but you SWF always bunch up together on a generator so you always enter a chase with multiple survivors meaning each time you "stop them" from working on a gen you lose a bunch of points. Not to mention they often have designated loopers so once you figure out that they're going to waste your time, leaving them and finding someone else punishes you again. Hook states BARELY reward you, only sacrifices so the game WANTS you to tunnel but it's hard to tunnel when everyone is running second chance perks and they have altruistic team mates to instaheal them and body block and take protection hits for them.
I really don't mind going up against them all that much. If I bring a meme build in the rank I'm at and get a SWF I don't get mad I lost. What does piss me off is that you don't just outright get points at the end for facing them to provent you from de-piping because you had a team on comms. Come on, 1 point for a two man swf, 2 points for a three man swf and 3 points for a 4 man swf. It's not unreasonable by any stretch of the imagination and it's only fare seeing as they have an advantage that the game flat out wasn't designed around accounting for. It doesn't nerf them and piss off people who play Dbd to have fun with their friends (even if I am entirely unsympathetic to those people) , it just takes away the sting of being punished for not being able to get two hooks against a perfectly organized and optimized swf.
I'll post the story that made me think of this.
I'm sorry, but if a SWF bringing We'll Make It and Botany Knowledge is what's getting you down, you won't enjoy DS, UB, DH OoO SWFs one bit...SWFs that run non-meta perks are fun to go against.
Sabo squads are also pretty fun to go against because they're predictable and memey. But they're few and far between.

I gave actual counterpoints, you just make hogwash exaggerations and no real points.
Do you really want to argue that you missed an attack on a survivor go into fatigue and are not busy to find the survivor again, land the next blink attack? The old days of "BBQ -> aura read -> travel map" are long gone for nurse. Either you missed the changes or you have no clue what you talk about but it is one of the reasons why you have to apply pressure in diffrent ways as nurse, slugging for example and be careful as to where you hook survivors.
Yes it gives 6 seconds but chances are you already focused on something else, probably blinking and landing the blinks correctly with either prediction or reaction, in any case, maybe feel free to show me your sick nurse skills? I mean props to you that you can blink, chain blink and keep an eye in 360° on potential aura reveals, down the survivor and defend the totem but I can't and prefer to have 4 perks instead of 2 since the build can be countered just by doing bones. But you can also show me the amount of your blink attacks just to have a better understanding.
Honestly the only time it's an issue on Nurse is when she combos undying with retribution, haunted and thrill or something to that effect; infinite aura reading. Seen it work wonders and it's incredibly obnoxious.

Here's the thing with Deathslinger.
Strengths: -
Strong chaser due to quick ads fake outs.
Good anti-loop (sometimes, depends on the loop/map, and requires great timing and good aim)
Range.
Weakness: -
No map pressure,
Not a single good add on, even irrid ones.(only decent one is the one which increase speargun reload, a green add on).
A spear hit is not a guaranteed kill. Other survivors can break the chain, they get stuck on an object etc.
Map dependent (a la Huntress).
Hits that should definately hit don't. Lag, desync? who knows, if you play him enough you'll see.
Skill dependent as hit box isn't huntress size.
In summary he's an average killer at best. If you put a timer on his ads, you would never land a hit at range. He needs improving in my opinion, his add-ons need a complete overhaul, not a single killer i've played has such poor add ons.
End of the day though, any killer who can't pressure the map will always be lower tier as the speed at which gens can be done combined with unbreakable, ds, dh, borrowed time etc means it is impossible when facing half decent teams to hook each player 3 times each.
I feel the people who complain about certain killers are from lower ranks.
Make him 115 in exchange for removing the quickscoping and scope spamming and increasing ADS sensitivity. Sorted.
Also while we're at it; FIX HIS DAMN TERROR RADIUS. Seriously; it's cheap.

I've been thinking of farming the 3 blink grab right now, like put a cake, let the survivors know that I just want to farm, grab them and let them take the ez w.
Are russian servers that bad? Or they just have bad internet?
And yeah from what I've heard EU servers are more chill, less toxic and mostly play for fun without sweating for the W, don't get me wrong, I know that there are players like that anf EU have amazing competitive teams but most just seem to play for fun.
There are no Russian servers; they connect to the EU server, meaning they have ~110+ ping, which means they get a LOT of hits they shouldn't. I also find this happens with console killers, which I think is related to their frames/hardware limitations.
Honestly, the devs confirmed a while back they have no plans to make a server closer to Russia despite the number of players there being similar to that in Australia, so it's not going to get any better. Just boosts bad killers.
Yep, don't get me wrong, when you get the sweat squad you'll hate your life just as much as any other killer but man it's just so more chill. Toxicity is still rife, though.

This achievement and the 3 blink grab need a rework, and yeah I have it on ps4, I just wanted to 100% on pc.
And that is weird, I usually see it 3-4 per match but I'm in US servers, good to know EU players don't have to rely on a perk to play great.
Also, this achievement is turning into my bane of existance again, I don't remember having issues when I did it on ps4.
I agree; 3 blink grab should just be blink grab in general, imo.
More people know about it now, especially on PC. I'd guess that's why. Idk, though, at the point where I'm last person I'd just let the poor guy going for it to get it.
When I played on Oce servers, there were a lot of sweat squads running it, but I find EU is definitely a bit more laid back on the survivor side, for the most part. There are factors such as countries. For example, I find Russians are awful to have in my games for either role; always so toxic. And it doesn't help that the killers from there are being boosted by the fact they play on high latency. :)

Good thing DS is less used and less popular than Lithe, said a Dev.
2 hours and still trying this achievement.
That achievement needs a rework, tbh. I tried for it and 3 times didn't get it because the last person would DC just to spite me and end the game before the mori finished or I'd get Ormond with lockers every few meters so that I couldn't do it to the last person who again was trying to spite me. That I've earned it fair and square multiple times and have still been unable to get it, because the other people wanted to annoy me is incredibly bad design.
As for the DS thing...their stats don't lie. I don't see any more than 1 DS per game in EU, except in very rare occasions. Hell, often when I play survivor, there is literally no obsession. DS won't stop you getting this achievement, though. Just spiteful survivors.

This is usually the time it takes to aim with him due to the small hitbox. Make the hatchet's hitbox the same size as the spear's and we can talk.
That doesn't add up: your camera doesn't change position when you press the scope button; all you have to do is have a survivor in the middle of your screen and quickscope.

Well,if this combo just "might" appear then it seems like it isn't used every single game like some people pretend it does, because i can say that i've seen this combo only a handful of times on high rank.
Also, you aren't really forced to use perks like detectives hunch or small game.If the map isn't an indoor map then it's rather easy to learn the different totem spots
I am seeing it very often (like almost every game) at high rank in EU, but I ain't complaining.

i included distortion because you can avoid then aura reading with it and imo it is bad but with it you can easily figure out if the killer is running certain aura reading perks or addons.
You can, but should never run it for that; there are normally easier ways to tell that don't cause you to have an entirely empty perk slot.
At least we agree it's bad. ;)
-
@AChaoticKiller said:
hey how about bringing something to counter it like detectives hunch or distortion a perk that literally shows you at least half if not all totem locations from one gen or a perk that will prevent your aura from being read.
you can also just learn the totem spawns. honestly the second killers get something good and not broken just good survivors complain. the meta hasn't shifted since clown released with pop and the only thing that survivors have changed with their meta is inner strength/head on and build to run it
Distortion is a pointless perk that doesn't fulfill its function.(Seriously, it needs a hefty buff to even be viable) I've given multiple counters earlier in this thread, only one involving potentially running a perk to counter it.

This game was absolutely not balanced around 4 perk slots. Or rather, it may have been at the beginning, but the game is not actively being balanced around 4 perk slots, because perk synergy is consistently absurd.
That is because the devs are trying to make new perks that create new synergies.

This is highly incorrect. This might work out against some Tournament Squads (but I know, every Forum-Killer goes against them all of the time), but not in regular DBD-Games, even with SWF-included. Dropping Pallets immediatly and not killing the team by doing so would work at max on Ormond.
Most Maps dont have many Pallets, even tho they are safe, which creates some bad situations (and honestly, there should be way more Pallets, but less safe ones) where god Survivors can run around Killers who need to break the Pallets and bad Survivors throw the few Pallets on the Map so that their team does not have any ressources left.
Like, I regularly have games where Shack Pallet is gone at 5 Gens. Like, just thrown, who needs it anyway. So saying that Survivors can just play safe and win is not correct at all. This only works if your team is actually doing stuff AND you have the right Map for that, but I can assure you that at least the first point is not given that often.
But a solution for that would be that instead of having 8-12 safe Pallets, every Map has like 20+ Pallets where like 2 or 3 are safe and the rest is quite unsafe. But sadly something like that would not work out since Bloodlust exists.
It also works on Blood Lodge and Hawkins.

@SoulKey said:
My idea is to make it consistent, instead of the complete map rng/totem spawns. Some maps where totems are a pain to find (especially indoor ones), it's a pain to cleanse all 5 totems.
As a remedy, we remove the aura reading and limit the number of times it can spawn to one dull totem. It will still be powerful, a little oppressive but not like when you have to cleanse 5 totems to just get rid of ruin.
And before someone propose to run detective's hunch, not everyone has it and also it does not make sense to HAVE TO equip a perk to counter a broken build otherwise you are screwed.
I suggested actual counters by means of playstyle, and did mention Detective's as an alternative, because let's be real, most players at high level have all the DLC's, and it's not the only counter by far.
-
I...literally have had games where in the first 90 seconds, 4 hexes were broken, the third being undying and the fourth being ruin for the third time.
As a player that plays both sides, the only nerf needed is to Undying's Aura Reading aspect.
Counters:
-If the killer has tinkerer, stack on gens in at least groups of 2. This will make it almost impossible for them to get to you in time after the tinkerer proc.
-If the killer has Discordance, split up around the map on gens; sure, one gen will eventually get pressured, but they can't all be stopped.
-Run a soul guard build so that you get something out of it; if people are doing gens and tinkerer procs as you're downed, you'll likely be slugged. Use that knowledge and apply it to your playstyle.
-Run a totem hunting build. Detective's Hunch + Inner Strength are great against it. You don't need a map that tracks killer's belongings, but it would also come in handy.
@ClickyClicky I have to agree. That said, there are maps where survivors will only find totems by sheer luck, such as Dead Dawg Saloon, where they seem to be able to spawn almost anywhere as compared to any Macmillan map where it's pretty obvious where they can spawn and it's just a case of looking around the limited spawnpoints.
As for the comparison to Corrupt and Pop:
Undying Ruin meta feels much more interactive as it forces the killer to interact with survivors that are sitting bored out of their minds holding M1, and it adds an extra layer of challenge to the survivor side that at times isn't there.
I actually can't stand seeing corrupt in my games, since 9 times out of 10 it seems to result in a 4k because survivors are literally forced to do gens in an incredibly inefficient manner/order.

A windup doesn't make it dodgeable, it makes it more predictable. Plus even if it does have a windup - according to people who say you cant dodge a slinger - she will get the hit anyway because it travels just as fast as slinger.
Predictability is necessary in order to dodge in a game like this...

He made fun of them for playing awfully and playing as predictably as possible. He barely had to do any work for the game, the survivors just did the basic identical plays, eg. Hook one survivor, down another one. When you pick up that second survivor, someone is going to rush for that first hook. At this point you know 99% of the time a survivor is already heading to that hook, why ignore it? Just put your survivor down and take the free kill because it's predictable.

If your games look like this. I'm gonna be 99 and round up with you. You should probably uninstall. Most issues that killers have with survivors can be pointed out in these three survivors.
Also I think it goes without saying but if you do see survivors play like this in your games. Show them that they reap what they sow.
But don't send hate to these specific ones, im sure they are definitely wonderful people at parties.
Don't use the examples where the survivors throw the game for the first generator; it's not helping your cause.
That said, this particular video was definitely amusing to watch on stream. On top of this, he was literally running meta so complaining that survivors ran meta too is a moot argument in this context.
I don't run meta as survivor, because I want the game to be fun for all. But some sessions leave me wishing I was selfish enough to do so, because both sides are capable of making the other's time playing the game miserable.
As for soul guard, I actually love seeing that perk as killer; it adds variety and means they gave up a perk slot to combo with unbreakable (the majority of the time) so I don't really mind it. I do agree DS as it is does have issues, however again, I maybe get hit by 1 DS every 10 or so games, and yet I consistently 3-4k at rank 1. If I, a mediocre player, can do that, then good killers can adapt far better.
-
He's not being nerfed, though. the PTB version of him is a hard buff; fun.

I mean my experience is that Kobes happen way less than 4% of the time; I don't think I've ever had someone kobe as killer, for example.
That said, I have had a session where 4 games in a row I was attempting it because the killer had our team basically decimated (all down) so I decided to give up, and kobed each time. Didn't win off it, nor did it allow me to create the much needed pressure for my team. It rarely does anything but give the killer more devout emblem points.

Had a Myers who decided not to pressure gens for an entire game while one person got to do the first 2 gens uncontested on the Game map, no less. And in the end he got a kill through the standard panicking post-gen camp into 1 for 1 hook swaps, but lost his rank 1 anyway so when I said GG, he raged about genrushing even though my friend and I actually waited a good few minutes to even touch a gen...we were super inefficient and yet he didn't punish us for it, and got mad about it.

Remove quickscoping, increasing ADS sensitivity so that you actually get rewarded for good aim. Make his TR actually exist. If he feels weak like this, maybe give him 115, but 110 during ADS.

Because there are people on this forum who still consider them strictly anti-camping and anti-tunneling perks in the hands of good players. All it needed was unbreakable added into the mix.
I mean this is the killer being gifted free downs and survivor pressure that he had no business having.

First of 3 things:
- This is why I play swf. Unreliable teammates.
- When you do play swf don't run that DS + Unbreakable combo unless you want to lose everyone's respect. Treat others the way you want to be treated.. except for hag players.
- Never bring any good point offering unless in swf. Just a waste otherwise.
Hopefully you and your future swf team have fun 👍
Wrt 3: even then, it's not worth it. Those are the games where killers will deny points through Moris and hard tunnels. I learnt my lesson well. Only ever have one of you use a BP offering if you want to use them, so that they're not all wasted on a trash game.

People in this forum still thinking a good Oni or Nurse have counterplay in chase, yikes.
A good Oni does, but a good Nurse for sure doesn't.

No. These killers are unhealthy AF for the game.
More killers and great perks like we got with Blight though, please!
