Its NOT a baby! YOU gave it that name. It is an evil monster, not baby Yoda, and it's concerning that some grown adults are angry about killing a monster in a fictional video game.
This. It's an adult man that was born as a deformed conjoined twin, and is now a monster; not a baby.

This is a popular opinion, for those that don't play survivor at a high level.
I play both roles at high rank, and honestly, Killer is the easier role to pick up and do well in because the objective and way to loop is self explanatory; survivor has an insane skill ceiling, but so does killer. Neither is actually easier overall. Killer is easier to pick up, but both have similar skill ceilings. Issue comes when certain killers deny the skill of the other side. I think the problem op has is that he can jump, but he'll end up just bumping into something and get stunned, or not and still have a bit of recovery time. That's when the survivor can often just run up to him, kick him and he's gone. And the only other option Victor has is not jump through the window and just run somewhere around where he can get to the other side, which can be a problem especially when a window is completely safe until the nearby breakeable wall is broken.
But...it takes about 2 or 3 tries to get the timing and positioning right, in order to be able to do this...
-
Yeah, I like the way they're going with the lore, and the premise of this map being a thing would be awesome, imo.
I also love the way the stories of the latest two chapters actually have a connection; previously, it just felt like random characters.
-
He 100% can jump through windows, where the hell did you get your information from? Lol.
I think if someone gets in a locker he should be able to either block him in or make them incapacitated at the very least.
As for holding Victor hostage...just have it on a timer so that if they're not in chase/within TR, they only have 10 seconds to begin crushing him or they'll go into the dying stage. And add a score event for the killer for that event.
-
Chucky wouldn't work by himself; Victor works because he is tied to a full size killer. Maybe in the future they could come up with an idea, but for now, honestly, this is much better than any idea for Chucky ever could be.
-
We should get to keep some. The dev only one should stay that way, but I see no reason why we shouldn't get to have some of the other ones like what's on Dweet. The Twitch shirts could be used as a nice way for people who are twitchies trying to get their name out their without putting Ttv in their name.

Not the literal T-L wall, there are pallets right next to them though. If he's already been in a relatively long chase what's the issue? So he's been chasing the same survivor for like a minute and only needs one more hit to down him, that's game breaking? Giving up a perk slot that situationally helps you down a survivor in 1 minute sometimes? If every single chase took 1 minute you lost the game as killer a few times over already. You're also assuming a worst case scenario. There are many times it could pop and maps you could be on where it gives you nothing.
That isn't game breaking.
If the perk got this change I wouldn't even run it.
Idk how to get you to recognise the issue here, tbh. It's clear as day.
-
@Blueberry said:

And why wouldn't they just drop a pallet in this circumstance? Also, the blocked windows are for a very, very short duration. A lot of the time you can out kite the block duration to a nearby window as well as the distance blocked isn't that far.
This is also just one hit if he fails, that's it. That isn't game breaking.
Because T-L walls don't have pallets...and then you also need to take into consideration if it's been a relatively long chase where the survivor has already been hit or if the killer has an instadown...
That IS gamebreaking.

it wouldnt rank does not and has not ever represented skill, it merely means you do the objectives the game wants you to do, but they are in no way a indication of skill, just that you follow a check list.
and apart from that, like OP said, everyone is ranked with everything anyway, the match making is broken.
rank, does, not, matter, there is nothing to gain or lose from ranking or deranking.
Rank doesn't represent skill linearly, no, but it does actually have some correlation, since it corresponds to time played, and in this game time played really is very important in order to become a skillful player because there is just so much nuance to each individual match.
Issue is, most players in red ranks shouldn't be, so as a result, there are less players in purple/green, etc, meaning matchmaking for lower rank players takes longer, and they usually end up against red rank players for this reason. But the fact is, that a lot of these red rank players probably should be at the same rank as the other side anyway. Reverting rank reset and making pip gain more dynamic in line with ranks of players involved actually would go a long way to making matchmaking more balanced, as a result. And it would make the higher ranks less about gameplay time and more about holding their own against someone of a similar rank.

I don't think that would be unfair/broken evenly remotely. When I say potential I mean at least a consideration, it still probably wouldn't even be great, much less broken. All it does is force an earlier pallet drop, that's it.
Imagine they're on suffocation pit, in the middle with 3 back to back T-L walls. Suddenly every window is blocked. Survivor dies because they were in chase when a generator got popped.
It would reward survivors doing their jobs by letting them be easily downed with minimal effort in plenty of cases. That is unfair.
-
@BioX said:
oh for christ's sake, RANK DOES NOT MATTER, it does NOTHING for you, who the hell cares if you Derank or Rank up, ITS MEANINGLESS!!!!
It would actually help to even out the ranking a bit more, since right now, people who shouldn't be in the top ranks are. Of course, a better fix would be to simply revert the change to rank reset from earlier this year. Both together would be awesome, too.
-
@carnage4u said:
The matchmaking is the worst and it hates you. People will say ranks don't matter (but anyone that is newer/been around for a couple months can tell the difference between a Red rank player and green player very clearly in game) There are a lot of annoying scenarios, where I wish you would not lose a pip, but I doubt it will happen. Leveling/deleveling don't really matter other then ego/morale reasons (which is a valid reason). the company doesn't really care about bad matchmaking or if it upsets people or not.
I've been hoovering around Rank 2, and i'm having less fun as its my first time this high. I care more about ranking up now then normal as I want to hit 1, for the achievement, but I know it doesn't matter, but it still bugs me when I get hard tunneled and get deranked.
Honestly, if it's a good player I can tell, and they'll be rank 1/2, but so often, with killers and survivors, I see questionable things that make me think they're rank 20, to find out they're somehow rank 4.
Yes, there is still a difference between red ranks and below, but a large portion of the people in red rank aren't of the same skill level as the rest.
-
@Blueberry said:
It's just windows and still an extremely bad perk even after its changes. Would've had some potential if it blocked around the killer instead of the completed gen.
It would, but then it would be very unfair/broken. It's a dilemma. I want it to have a meaningful use, but the only good buff to it would punish players for successfully evading the killer while others are doing gens.
-
If I don't want to run it, I won't. If I'm having a day of tunneling/scummy killers, I'll run it, but otherwise I'll avoid running it so I can actually run fun perks.

I rarely see people playing as Adam so I’ve been using him as my main recently lol. I absolutely love his P3 cosmetic because it reminds me of Castiel from Supernatural and that’s my favourite show.

I definitely agree that he could do with more diversity when it comes to his cosmetics though. I love his denim jacket / jeans and his ugly Christmas sweater but not much else.
He's one of my mains. I long for more cosmetics for him that aren't memey, but we're not quite there yet. Soon.(TM)

Now I know I'm gonna sound like someone who complains about everything. But my only complaints with the new autohaven is th fact the the mist looks a little out of place, and the breakable walls.
If they make the mist the same green as the level then it'll look amazing
It's not a complaint; it's a suggestion/feedback that if the devs see and deem fit, may even make a difference to how it releases after the PTB.
-
Franklin's needs to be partially changed, tbh. It shouldn't be that it disappears - just that it is depleted after the timer. Right now, I consider it an incredibly unfair perk.
Also whenever I encounter it, it's usually an insecure killer that will proceed to facecamp me...always so fun!

Cringing heck, what a post lmao.
For what it's worth I queue solo red almost all day and constantly get survivors above rank 10, I don't get the point in this post, the whole queueing with low rank friends to get low ranked killers hasn't worked for a year yet people keep clinging to it for some reason.
Ikr, I ran into a duo where one was rank 1 with 7k hours and the other was clearly of the exact same skill level and yet were rank 20 and clearly didn't have any teachables. They clearly intended to bully baby killers, but unlucky for them it didn't work.
-
Yep. Unfortunately, this was intended, for whatever reason. I don't see why they went this way, since while cages aren't technically hooks, they do serve as hook stages just the same.
Only reason I can think of is that they didn't want BBQ to take effect on use of cages because maybe they thought the aura reading would be unfair in that case, but that doesn't make much sense when there's an add-on that literally has a better effect than BBQ, albeit with the caveat that the survivors shown must be tormented.
-
Honestly, I love them all so much that I just mix and match at random!

Hi question for everyone do you play solo survivor or with friends ? If so how many? I’m curious, from the forums it looks like people think eveyone plays swf but I simply don’t think that’s the case,
I played this game since it was released on ps4 I have played solo for majority of the game i have one friend who sometimes play and I found another while playing recently:)
I usually duo with a friend, and we just chill and chat while ingame.
I recently met some people who I swf with in between a 2-4, depending who's on, but we don't play with comms at all. Killers still complain about swf though lol
Solo is unplayable majority of the time. That isn't to say that when I do go solo, I don't pip most games, because I do since I can loop and know how to hold M1, but more often than not the game is lost due to randoms literally sitting in the corner of the map with self-care.

Disagree.
The problem is not the controller's, but rather the FPS.
People have ZERO problem being amazing at CoD or Battlefield on Console. The issue is that they are simply given less time to react to new information.
When my game literally freezes when someone uses Dead Hard, even if I predict the Dead Hard, I cannot capitalize on what was a good read because the game is poorly optimized on Console.
I am sympathetic to the Devs plight, many things to do and not enough time to do them, but it is really discouraging and disheartening to see that Console's haven't really gotten that much love, even though it was promised years ago.
Trust me, Dead hard and status effects like Sloppy lag out PC players too.
-
I think I'm devotion 8, under level 50? Unsure exactly but somewhere around that; I had the game before devotion but only played a handful of games and only actually picked it up After the Spirit came out.

By balanced, I mean neither feels OP nor weak. They are perfect the way they are (minus some potential minor add-on or QoL changes)
My personal vote? I vote Bleet. Once his camera is fixed, I think he's perfect just the way he is provided he doesn't face corn but quite frankly, every killer hates corn.
Oni, Demo, Blight? Somewhere in that region, imo.
-
This is controversial, for sure. Wraith is fine. GF is BS to go against, though, and needs to be fundamentally changed tbh.
-
Be efficient and learn to be a bit less predictable in loops. One of the most important things to learn to do is to fake vaults - a lot of killers in red ranks are boosted there, (that should be rank 20 in all honesty) so it'll work 9 times out of 10 (at least that's how is is in EU; hell we have a lot of killers boosted by VPN)
If a killer is camping, just leave the person on hook. Otherwise you're gifting a scummy killer a 4k and validation to continue playing that way.
If you want more specific tips, I'm more than happy to help.
I can also point toward some pretty good content creators with tip videos.

That it's down nearly 5k since August is kind of depressing, but it doesn't mean much, tbh. I do think the game has some big issues that need addressing, though, otherwise there is a pretty big risk. Also it's hilarious that the game is at its lowest in terms of playerbase during the month that they marketed nothing happening as an 'event.'

Three gen with hag isn't viable because playing hag u are gonna lose gens regardless of what u do just to make up time setting up traps a three gen isn't something that u should be doing unless it coincidentally happens.
That is literally how the Hag is played at red ranks and it works every time.
-
Ngl, I'm having issues with By Any Means Necessary. I've legit dropped no pallets across about 10 games and survived every single one lmao
-
Hag, Freddy and Huntress.
I'm not good at her, but even I'm able to decimate in red ranks with the Huntress.
Hag is literally just set up, (while in a 3 gen) teleport, hit, set up. Rinse and repeat.
Freddy is legit baby's first killer; he does everything for the player, including the mindgames.
Nurse also isn't actually that hard to play and become unplayable vs, tbh.

I'd say it's at a good point, it's not totally useless on 110 killers, and it's not a wasted perk slot on the regular killers.
Plus tinkerer can be (somewhat) countered by working on a gen in an open area to see the killer coming. And having two people work on a gen to finish it before the killer arrives.
Indoor maps say hello. ;)

I have a p3 claudette literally for the meme. I got all perks on her, so if I feel like a laugh, I'll go into a game with the intention of immersing for memes. But it would get boring reallly fast.

They won't get lore, if they were going to get lore it would of been released on release day. But remember the tome challenges were always subject to change. We haven't see 3 and 4 yet. My best guess is both Adam and Clown's challenges were removed and switched with Hillbilly and Nea challenges.
If they did that, it would be a pretty big middle finger, imo. I was looking forward to actually getting something on Adam.
-
His Shred is legit so incredibly baitable. How could you possible have issue vs Demogorgon in chase unless he already has 8 stacks of STBFL?
-
Is it actually confirmed that the Clown and Adam won't get lore this tome? In chapters 3 and 4, they have challenges, so I always assumed they had to have some.

Almost every single time I watch the last survivor in the game and the killer does this, they either A) pull them off the gate, B) down them right before it opens or C) down them right after it opens. The killer then hooks or moris the survivor. Sometimes they go so far as to let them crawl until just before they can escape before hooking or killing them.
Yes there are occasions when the killer is genuinely being friendly but they're so rare that I gave up long ago. I don't struggle, recover, try to open the gate, or move. I'm not giving anyone the satisfaction of pulling one over on me and the potential reward is 5k bloodpoints.. I'll pass.
If they drop me ON TOP OF the hatch of course I'll take it. No way I'm crawling to it though 😅
Keep your blood points, Entity, you're not getting an ounce of hope from me!
Most of the time, the killer is just being friendly tbh.

Usage of 3rd party applications is cheating and people get permanently BANNED for it
The ingame filters are parts of the graphics cards or instead or just after effects to make gameplay more visible to viewers
Stretched res isn't cheating even though it totally is so until the devs decide its cheating everyone has to deal with it
wait a second on hits you don't always need to swing as soon as possible, just treat it as every survivor has dead hard
I don't know that audio modification exists in this game I just assume they turn the volume up to the point where they can decern it
also if you don't like the disadvantages of console just get a pc and play on there or disable crossplay
There are actually programs whitelisted by EAC that can be used to finetune it a bit more, but the graphics card settings usually are enough. Heck, monitor settings are probably enough if you wanted to go there.

@Speshul_Kitten said:
Where do I begin?
•Better FPS. No big lag spikes or frame drops when a gen gets completed, Sloppy Butcher connects, bloodlust kicks in, fog-even fog drops the fps bad for console players. Also have you played on PC, the skillchecks are as smooth as butter. You can hit them when they actually get the skill check, no need to time it like on console and where it’s a flimsy stuttering stick.
•The ability for PC survivors to see who the killer is in pre-game lobby through a 3rd party app. This was supposedly fixed, but it has been seen on Twitch streams again and again.
•Ability to brighten/lighten up maps to make it easier to find survivors or detect stealth killers. *If you’re not sure what I’m talking about, watch any popular streamer and see how much lighter in color their maps are than yours.
•Stretch resolution. Literally can see the killer from the other side of a “mindgameable” loop so that the mind game only exist for the killer.
•Higher sensitivity still for PC players only. Why? The devs have yet to explain. Also, this is a big deal, the extrapolation of a survivor or killer with higher sensitivity makes it more difficult for console players to dodge/connect a hit.
•Audio modifications. This is mostly rampant with people who main Spirit on PC, but they’re able to use audio mods to lower the bass/overall chase music and better pinpoint survivor breathing through this.
If I’m missing anything let me know. I’m sure I am. I just want console players to know ho much of a disadvantage you REALLY are at and that I don’t believe this was addressed before the implementation of crossplay and this was all at the console players expense.
If you think we don't get lag spikes whenever anything happens, you're sorely mistaken.
We haven't been able to see who the killer player in our lobby is (and sorry, this just wouldn't be an advantage even if it were the case) since before dedicated servers; this would have been possible for console players too if it were still P2P.
I have literally never come across someone who claims to have audio modification in order to make certain sounds ingame quieter/louder. There is no way to change the volumes of different things; this game is a cluttered mess of audio notifications, and noone can change that except the devs.
Stretched resolution is not game breaking at all, and hardly anyone even does it anymore.
Literally any TV has the ability to change saturation levels and brightness; you can do it too.
There is one issue, though; latency. Hardware limitations mean that console players naturally play at a slightly higher ping. Killers get hits they have no business getting because of this, but it does probably ######### over a bunch of survivors, too.
-

Honestly, from the images we see, I don't really feel it. That said, Gas heaven is looking mighty fine.
Hopefully these graphical updates mean that Ormond will get a mini rework in order to tweak it balance-wise. Bored of it being a safe loop into a safe loop into another 5 safe loops and then being a gigantic deadzone after that.
