If anything, he feels most similar to Freddy in terms if in-match mechanics.

When it comes down to the exit gates, his strategy plays like Trapper.

I agree but since I’m not finding any good use for portals I’m personally not feeling it too much. Portals to me feel like well let’s teleport here to see if someone’s around. And if no one is there I’m now searching for people wasting time when I know I could have walked to areas where I know there is a big possibility that they would be there but dont have a portal in.

at least with Freddy I can fake teleport people off gens or chase someone into a gen then teleport to it and if they see it I can always cancel. Once you go into the portal for the demo that’s that. Can’t go back or anything.

I think you are still a fledgling Demogorgon. There is more nuance to this killer than I initially expected. Learning to use the portals correctly is a big part to playing this killer. You really shouldn't run around dropping all your portals at the start of the match.

I would however, strongly encourage you to put a portal near an exit gate immediately. You don't want to find yourself in a position at the end of the match where all your portals are used up and you can't place one near the exit gate or alternatively just don't have time to get to both exit gates before they are opened. Placing portals near exit gates at the start of the match has always paid dividends for me.

Another aspect of the portals is using them for information. You can get the killer instinct information if survivors are near portals. But you need to charge your shred attack to do so. So placing portals near key locations such as hex totems or hooked survivors and periodically charging your attack can give lots of good intel. Also, just good killer intuition and timing when to go back to a portal near a hooked survivor can really get good results.

The point is that you don't want to use up all your portals at the start of the match since the battlefield changes as the game progresses. Drop one at an exit gate and another near your hex ruin and then get to hooking survivors. Then drop a portal near the hooked survivor and let the farming begin. If you are playing Demo like Trapper then you are doing it wrong my friend.

The main issue I have is if I don’t put portals at the start of the game I never will because once I’m in a chase it will non stop chases until the game ends. I like to apply alot of pressure when playing killer. Constantly on top of people which is why even though I love ghostface as a classic killer, his playstyle doesn’t fit me. I hate having to sneak around for his power to work effectively. I just want to go and hit everyone and everything. Anyways since I’m in constant back to back chases there really isn’t a point for me even placing portals because id be wasting time instead ending the chase quicker.

  • Why would anyone NOT have it on? I’m currently not even using Demogorgon when I have 52 out of 63 perks on him because I don’t have BBQ not even tier 1! It just feels like a grind only being able to buy half a blood web per game without bbq. So I’m using other killers with BBQ to unlock more demo blood webs in hopes that I get bbq. Thank god for this new bloodweb or else I might not be using Demogorgon for another month!

Borrowed Time won’t work if you’re asleep. Also, once you hit the unhooked survivor and BT procs, you can just follow them and the timer will go down. Why? Because you’re not in the terror radius. How is this a nerf? Nobody used Unnerving Presence or Infectious Fright on Freddy anyways.

Easy Fix DS, Flashlight save, pallet save, unbreakable if slugged. There is counters to everything. Question is if you want to run them or not.

Except for the fact he nullifies the most OP survivor perk in the game: Pebble. Also Borrowed Time if you like punishing unsafe hook saves.

Easy fixes, Clocks, Miss a healing, Sabo, Gen skill check or have someone else wake you up before performing a save with BT

  • Lol what? All oblivious does is make it so he can’t use perks that are required to have a terror radius while survivors are asleep. If anything it’s a slight nerf to Freddy using terror radius builds.

A lullaby is not a terror radius. Nothing has changed freddy in this patch to make him better.

  • His lungs is too easy to dodge and not long enough, and portals they honestly feel like a liability to use. Such a waste to time to activate them. It really makes you lose pressure I honestly think portals hurt me more than help me.

I personally run Thrilling Tremors, PGTW, Ruin and Nurses Calling

I seem to have a lot of success with it so it works

i run same build but replace thrilling tremors with. BBQ and chili. Id rather see the aura than know they they’re on the gen because if they stay in the gen I should be able to see them either way at least this way I can know if they run a certain direction

  • Agree with the other 2. I play red rank survivor and killer.

As survivor I see a ghostface every now and then and he gets maybe 1 or 2 kills.

As killer I can 4K with ghostface but a majority of the time I’m just M1ing because my power is recovering. I like applying pressure constantly or else gens get done quick. If I get a quick stalk and down I have to wait soooo long in order to use my night shroud again to stalk someone else. So instead what ends up happening is I just go and M1. For every 2 chases of M1 usage I get 1 stalk down if I’m not kicked out of it too early. Once red ranks know it’s ghostface they’re constantly looking for you and alot of times as I peek over something they’re already running away. Easy fix for this is double up on recovery time for night shroud which i think are his best addons. Which I did for like 40-50 games until I ran out. Every other addon for him I have minimum of 60. So it’s not really a permanent solution.

However, in lower ranks he’s really good. Survivors don’t look out for him as much and sometimes when you exposed them they end up running straight to you because they don’t know where you are. After rank reset I was able to get stalk downs only for fun. I would hook someone and just slowly walk to the next gen so my terror radius wouldn’t show up to them and when my shroud was ready I go after them. There was times where I even would stand still waiting for my shroud to come back and I still had enough time to get all 4K with like 2 or 3 gens left.

  • @indieeden7 said:

Luck only applies to hooks, nothing else. But I agree it should work with more things. However I disagree that it should reduce skillchecks, skillchecks can grant faster progression on gens.

Does it not apply to chests? Or beartraps?

  • 1 guy tbagged me after every pallet. So I decided to facecamp. He sent salty messages with spamming insults. The next 3 out of 5 games I got matched up against him so I switched to the almighty Leatherface, Ignored everyone else and went straight for him and face camped him with chainsaw reving in every game we had. A couple days later I get back to back games with him again and proceed to do the same lol. After every game he always sent more salt in my PS4 messages and I would respond with some back after facecamping until he blocked me from all the facecamping. Lol I’m sure he learned his lesson.

Edit: Forgot to mention all this happened during double bloodpoints event lol.

As survivor... I think flashlight blinding rank 20 killers a minimum of 5 times a game as I was introducing the game to my friends who were low ranks.

  • Easy fix. Git Gud.

  • When I play SWF my friends sometimes forget to press ready because it takes a while to find games so in the meantime we are watching videos or doing stuff on our phones and they always seem to forget to ready or even notice that we joined a match until I tell them.

  • If they’re making a separate thread about it I can only assume it’s either not going to be ready or it will be ready but they are letting us know to bare with them while they fix out all the problems with it.

I hope it’s neither and that it will just be a “Dedicated Servers are here” announcement

  • In a perfect world yes, two survivors on their own gen is better. However in the situations you get in. Sometimes it’s better for 2 or more people to be on a gen because it might be in a bad stop and you just want to get that one done ASAP without risking being in that spot longer.

The nurses I've seen stay on the side they are on when they blinked, idk how they do it but it seems like a weird bug for some of the nurses

They must not be holding their blink long enough. They think because the object is small they don’t need to blink long enough. You can blink through anything but if you don’t charge your blink enough to pass the object fully you’ll stay where you are.

  • @Xboned said:

People seem to regard this as a very bad pairing and I think I see why. Some consoles struggle with frame rates, apparently, and controllers might not be adequate for the split-second timing she requires.

Does anyone play her on console anyway? Is it worth it to try learning her? Are there any special tips or tricks to be aware of that make the experience less painful? Can console Nurse generate as much survivor salt as PC Nurse?

My console is Xbox One X, for the record, though I'm eager to hear from anyone who plays on PS4 or uses a controller on PC.

I recently Mained nurse on console out of bordem from the rest of the killers. It will take time. You will be staring at the floor while they tbag and point at your face and there is nothing you can do. But you’ll get better eventually.

Maps like the new Badham is my worse because the FPS is crappy on there on PS4. But other maps with decent FPS will be a lot easier. If you seem to lose survivors a lot after vaulting try using ghostfaces I’m All Ears on her to help you find out where to blink.

i use Nurses calling and man it helps build up pressure. I like to injure multiple survivors and slug a lot to constantly pressure them and hook as I have extra time.

A very common counter to nurse is to run backwards as they see you blink. An easy way to combat that is when you see them do it now you know that they’re going to do it again so next time just blink long enough to land behind where they currently are and you’ll usually run into them as they run back.

Another trick if you didn’t already know is when you fully charge your blink and the survivor is only about 5 meters from you they think you’re going to blink far away because they saw you fully charge it. You can just aim at the floor( the lower the closer you’ll end up) and you’ll just have a short blink. Just be sure that there isn’t another floor below you like basement because you’ll just end up going down a level

If you want the maximum range blink make sure you aim a little above the middle of the screen to make sure you don’t accidentally lose range.

  • @Micheal_Myers said:

I counter her blinks by looping her since shes the slowest killer in the game XD

Must be a bad nurse. I just blink through the object and hit them through loops and once they see that they throw looping out the window.

  • It could still work though if you had never been hooked but you’re the last survivor alive and the gate is open next to you and you use deliverance to unhook and have MoM activated you could take a hit while you escape

  • I was there man. After about 2 months I invested in leatherface. BBQ cuts the time in half. I also began to love playing bubba as he is my favorite horror movie killer. Anyways I played bubba with BBQ and used the points to level up other killers until I got BBQ t3 on that killer and then I would switch and earn more points to get better perks on that killer. I did that for all 16 killers some prestiged too. I’ve only been playing since a year but took about 3-4 months off. I also have most survivors at 50 and every perk max on my main survivor.

  • I play ps4 and just recently started mastering Nurse so probably Nurse with Ruin, bbq, nurses calling, and shadowborn. Addons probably a range and less fatigue or double range

  • Leatherface because I like how he just shakes it to clean off the blood since his other hand is holding the chainsaw and can’t wipe like other killers(except Freddy and hag)

Idk I main the salad from outer space and Freddy. Both of which I prefer clean.

I prestige plague to 3 because I thought she looked cool. I’ve probably played a total max games of 10 with her since her release lol

and let’s not forget bloody Myers mask is nice. Not like ghostfaces blood, it’s so small you can’t even tell it’s there.

  • @TheBean get flicked.

  • Blood looks cool on some killers for example Bubba. But it’s really only for that and for a slight minuscule chance of rarer items showing up in blood web. But it’s such a small chance it’s not even noticeable.

  • I already have all certain perks I want on all my killers and survivors I use so this new blood web would only come in handy for me on Nancy and Steve which ever I decide to main. (Maybe both) So I have that to look forward to.

  • Probably with the stranger things DLC. I’ve been at 900,000 for weeks i just spend 100,000 at a time and get back to 900,000+ so I can max out day before release. Sometimes when I have extra time I just spend it all because I can get 1,000,000 in about 10-15 games

I would like help on this as well. I've tried making Stridor work, and it's not as helpful as another perk slot. I keep my headphones reasonably loud.

The problem with noise tracking is often the chase music that BLARES itself over the sequence, thus, rendering your eyes incapable of deciphering those important sounds.

Stridor has worked best for me as The Pig when slugging people.

    • Stridor
    • Hex: The Third Seal/or Knockout
    • Monitor and Abuse
    • Deerstalker (yes, I think Deerstalker is underrated)

A fun build if you know how to use correctly with Pig if your looking to use your hearing as a good tool.

I was just thinking what kind of build I could use for pig.

I can mostly hear survivors okay but I can’t pinpoint where exactly they are. Is this game not meant to pin point or am I just not using good enough headphones.

  • Just learn nurse. I play ps4 and got bored of all killers so I decided to do the unthinkable. Play nurse on PS4 and I did and man did the frustration get even worse. All the inaccurate blinks. All the swing and misses, all that time staring down in fatigue. All the 0Ks.... until I started getting better and better and now I’m on a 28 game 4k streak with nurse. No looping necessary.

  • In bubbas defense, he prestiged twice already and you havent prestiged at all.

  • I play on PS4 and all I really want is a different button to heal and throw a pallet down. Sometimes survivors are under pallets recovering and I’m in a chase but just want to run to the survivor on the floor and pick them up and keep running but I have to make sure I stop and it says heal not throw pallet first

  • Would like to know if there is optimization update included with next chapter.

  • @Bravo0413 said:

Do SSD'S help as much as I heard with performance for ps4?

I thought that mainly helped for copying updates faster and maybe slightly faster load times.

  • I’m on ps4 pro and the frames were going up until recently. Especially on maps like Coldwind, MacMillan Estate, and autohaven and other maps were ok. But on survivors I always had really smooth FPS and smooth skill checks and now they’re back to being somewhat choppy. Now I feel only autohaven is somewhat smooth as killer the rest are a little smooth and a little choppy

  • Just write get good after every response they give. Drives them nuts lol

  • When I get salt messages at the end

  • I agree, when I was new I would see exposed a bunch of times and had no idea what it meant. Eventually I put it together that it was 1 hit down.

  • I don’t see the issue. Ranks are close enough.

  • I think they’re more focused on colors than tiers.

  • Could be they want 3 different colors. And since meg was one of the original characters they could add UR on it.

also explains why David has tier 1 DH

  • Yes it is. But it also has tier 1 and tier 2.

My assumption is they wanted all 3 different perks of David in 3 different tiers. Which could explain why it goes from tier 1-3 colors from bottom to top.

  • If she was able to use corrupt purge more often I’d say she was good but people don’t use fountains so maybe lower mid tier. Same problem as legion, no one heals, power becomes useless and just becomes m1 killer.

My most fun match was when I used an Apple addon to start with a corrupt fountain and I immediately went to the fountain and also had infectious fright and found the first survivor. Quick down, someone screamed near by, another down and repeat until I got to the last one. Game lasted about 1 minute.

  • The only way to enjoy it more is to be in red ranks where survivors actually do something. But my god.... before red ranks it’s nothing but rage. I’m a killer main 60/40 but I’m mainly waiting till dedicated servers to try to make it 50/50 killer/survivor.

  • Stop being selfish because you’re missing out. Id rather have a smoother experience with bug fixes on release than a ######### experience. If you really want to play the PTB that bad then buy a PC.

    In accurate.

    We Got Ash.

    Then we Got Ghostface.

Essentially two stand alones one for each instead of a chapter.

Leather face did not have a survivor
