  • I love this for survivor. I always hit red ranks and hate rank reset because I get stuck with green ranks hiding all game and wasting pallets left and right without even looping. Now I’ll go back to rank 5 and in a few games be back with the red rank survivors.

  • 80% of my grabs never work. It starts to grab but it just hits them instead.

  • Cool idea, thanks. That’s if I’m able to finish those challenges by next week lol

We should be getting an optimization update for the game on the next chapter update. Not sure how significant it is but at least we're getting something now.

Honestly I don’t care how small it is. Anything is better than what we have now.

  • BBQ and Chili, Hex Ruin, Thanatophobia is a must because it forces them to use fountains. As far as the 4th perk. Dying light would really enhance the slowdown of the game with thanatophobia if you feel like survivors still arnt using fountains.

But if they are using fountains then infectious fright really works with corrupt purge. To really make use of the power. You bring one down and if there is another survivor down shoot that red vomit on the next survivor and slug the first.

Are we just gonna ignore how bad the graphics are right now on top of the poor Performance, Bad Balancing and Frame Drops.

The Character Models used to look decent (at least compared to now) but then with the Plague Chapter the Graphics turned to sh*t. They got a little bit better with the recent update but holy sh*t are the frame drops ever more present.

although the poor balancing is still pissing me off the most.

Honestly at this point I just want smooth frames to get skill checks without frames freezing. Even if it means bad graphics. But at this point it’s bad graphics and even worse frames.

I remember that. Funny how the menus actually used to be smoother back then.

At least Wraith can't destroy the in-game framerate/actually forcefully DC people by just equipping the Seeping Hollow Cosmetic and running Sloppy Butcher anymore though.

Is that why the game freezes for a few seconds when I select wraith.

Whenever I hit someone while in shroud it seems like the frames drop incredibly... this again happens mainly on disturbed ward and badham.

When they were making progress with optimization I hated Badham because it was one of the maps that had bad frames compared to the rest. Now it’s most of the maps that are as bad. The good maps that ran smooth like autohaven, Macmillan, coldwind farms are now worse than before.

A couple of PS4 bugs I have been having for several weeks

1)After every single match I get the error pop up that I have been disconnected from the server and everything locks up. i This always happens before scores are displayed. Usually it doesn't last long. Occasionally it lasts as long as 30 to 45 seconds.

    2) After the scores load and I triangle back to the campfire to start a new match I get "an unknown error has occurred". At that point I get taken back to the screen to choose whether I want to play as a killer or survivor. Both of these happen after every single match.

While neither take much time and the annoyance factor isn't significant I thought I would go ahead and mention it since there is a thread going about PS4 issues.

I have deleted and reinstalled a couple of times just to make sure and it hasn't helped.

Happened to me like 80% of my games yesterday on PS4.

  • Play leatherface and target them first and then face camp.

  • I forgot about the nerfs. I guess tomorrow I’m burning some prayer beads from my stack of 50 since I never played spirit.

  • Geez. I feel really behind. I was 18 earlier today and got up to 23 by doing some tome 2 challenges.

  • Just noticed infectious fright causes severe frame drops when it shows the survivors location bubble.

  • No, play how you want. The only bannable offense is holding the game hostage. Like body blocking someone in a corner forever without them having a choice besides disconnecting. Only exception is if you body block them during end game collapse because the game is going to end regardless.

  • If you hate it so much. Mad Grit. That’s it.

  • I would also like to know.

I am done with you first you say dont save him now you say bait him if I am baiting him i am not doing gens if i am not doing gens we are definitely not escaping. Besides baiting wont do squat because he will go back to camping.

Have a nice day, I hope you continue insidious camping like a pro you are. Thank for listening to my TEDtalk.

Bait him after gens! Geez your logic of thinking! No wonder you’re here complaining about insidious lol

Again read every post. Half of the posts are mine. If you let him insidious camp. And you do all 5 gens and open doors. Do some sabo and destroy some totem. There is no way you can even safety pip... at best you can get 8k by doing gens if you do 2.5 gens with someone. 0 altruism. 5k in survival and let's say 3k in baldness. That's not a safety pip.

Then bait him. Make him chase you.

I too can be afk in one spot for 2 minutes so I guess that makes me good.

No I’m saying that if you were good you should know. Hey it’s a leatherface and someone is in the basement OR hey it’s leatherface I should stay away from the basement. Then you wouldn’t need to worry about anything. Come on dude, you’re complaining about one of the worst killers of the game with a perk that he is known to have. If you’re still getting killed by it, then it’s your fault and no one else’s. Open your eyes. Adapt. Get better. Get Good.

This has nothing to do with insidious camping. So what was the point of saying it?

Well, if you were good you would have to be complaining about insidious.

  • Try getting good first

  • I had a game that lasted less than a minute. Apple addon with plauge and infectious fright. Survivors spawned together. I spawned close to my corrupt fountain. Got one with corrupt purge and it dominoed to the rest

You can't do generators fast enough if the killer has Ruin and NOED.

Upon all of what I mentioned, if you're solo, you have to check to see if the killer is camping before you even begin to start punishing it.

That's basically around 1/4 of their hook state gone from checking, and now you have to cleanse 5 totems as well as complete 5 generators within 1 minute and 30 seconds.

I'm not done yet, you have to do this with 3 survivors too.

If the survivor team doesn't complete a few generators or totems before the killer begins to camp, that's a game over. 😕

    To clarify:

I have nothing against camping when the killer has a valid reason to camp such as a survivor leaving scratch marks in the area. However, when camping is being used incorrectly, that's when I think there should be a harsher camping punishment. 🤗😁

There is perks like kindred which is rumored to now be based off of your teammates in the coming ptb. What I mean by this is currently if you have kindred when you are on the hook then it shows your teammates the auras. New version will now show you the auras if you’re not on the hook. So it only works when others are hooked. Anyways there is other killer detection perks to help with that but most of the time they’re close enough for you to find out if they’re camping or not. And hex ruin isn’t that big of a deal to just hit great skill checks. It just takes practice the more you play with it the better you’ll get. Better than wasting time looking for it. Everytime hex Ruin is on I go find a gen and look for a common totem spot next to the gen if it’s not a hex then onto the gen and I repeat from gen to gen until I either find the hex or we get all 5 gens done.

  • Valid strategy. If the killer knows they’re close enough and he could get another easy down why on earth would the killer leave!? The longer the survivors wait and not do gens the worse it is for them. That’s why as survivor if I see camping I go straight for a gen to take control. Once they see gens popping they start to realized they need to do something

  • People are still figuring out his alternative play style and survivors have not adapted to it yet. Just give them more time and they’ll see how unviable he’ll become. Survivors have full control of his power so if they’re struggling then there is no one to blame besides themselves.

  • In my opinion I don’t really see a big issue for this right now. The only killers that really benefit from it are not in a good place right now. The only one I’d say would be decent with it is ghostface. However the killer does not have control over when the last gen is going to be finished, the survivors do. Ghostface could still be in recovery or is in shroud but gets spotted and kicked out of his power. There are perks like premonition and spine chill that completely destroy a stealth killers power. Using rancor is taking up 25% of a killers load out and most of the time the game doesn’t go into the endgame to make rancor useful. As I said stealth killers aren’t as great and having 1 Perk that would be more useful to them than others fits their play style and power. It makes them unique so taking that away from them defeats their purpose of this role.

  • @Kaelum said:

@HatCreature if it’s a stealth killer, Oblivious is now blocking the survivor’s aura reading, which is supposed to be it’s downside. So with stealth killers, there is no downside.

Oblivious does not block the survivors aura reading. It stops survivors from hearing terror radius. Undetectable however does stop the killer’s aura from being shown. The pig would have to be crouched, ghostface would have to be in shroud, and wraith would have to be cloaked.

  • It is the same as a pallet stun. If you drop the pallet too early on the killer while the animation of picking up the survivor is still happening then nothing will happen. You have to time it so the split second the animation is over is when you complete the blind or throw the pallet down

  • No one else agrees!? Think of how satisfying it would feel to be sacrificed to the bigger entity.

I will say what I said in the other thread here...

They should have given her a tell, for when she activates her power.

It’s obvious to tell when she phases. If you still struggle you’re not experienced enough so don’t expect everything to go your way. I recommend using iron will as it is the easiest escape for a spirit. I’ve had multiple games where the spirit could not use her power on me because she kept losing me with iron will. At the end she ended up becoming an M1 killer with 110% movement speed, loops for days.

  • I never played spirit but have all perks on her. I have a stockpile of prayer beads because I told myself one day I’ll use them for fun but never did. Now is the time! I’m ready to unleash!

  • I would turn off ranks and set the blood point gains 5x

  • New Killers are going to get gen rushed with bots hitting all great skill checks and repairing in the killers face.

  • I was excited for the pass but man this is so not meant for casuals. Even people who play this game for hours a day are barely making it through

  • The most popular asymmetrical multiplayer (4vs1) horror game is now officially on mobile for free. Dead by Daylight Mobile comes this 2019. Pre-register now!

Pre-Register there and it’s only only in certain countries for BETA. I’m not sure about release date.

  • I became good after someone told me to git gud.

  • I usually only have these errors when I’m playing survivor and looking for a game and it will say connecting on the bottom right and instead of going into a lobby it gives me like 3 errors back to back

  • @Rydog said:

Look at how close that XP bar is, quit being so lazy and hit level 59632 already!

Right!? He only needs about 65,000 XP

  • I still remember thinking we would have 60fps on console last December. Man was I excited.

  • Lobbies is probably because the Halloween orange fog that shows in the menus and in game I don’t know. But I’ve experienced both on PS4 pro as well

  • @Desolate_Sands said:

Of all games, I think DBD is probably one of the least impacted by a mouse+keyboard vs. controller.

I already use a controller on PC when I play survivor. It would probably only be a significant difference for killers like huntress or nurse, and that's not enough of an issue to stop crossplay imo.

It’s not just mouse and controller differences. The sensitivity on consoles is extremely limited and mainly the frames for consoles can sometimes be extremely horrid. Sometimes there is frames that freeze up for a second or they get extremely bad for a while and are very inconsistent.

Surely even on controller there's a button assigned for just backing out instead of having to move the cursor to the back button in the bottom right?

Well the back button is O but that is on the bottom right so they’re the same thing. You can’t scroll to the bottom right to click anything.

  • @[Deleted User] said:

Sometimes instead of using the back button, press Esc to back out and it doesn't kick me out sometimes, but it doesn't always work.

It seems like kicking people out is a bug, to be honest.

I play ps4 so no ESC for me :(

  • Killer sided game.... where!? I’d love one!

  • Mind games to make the chases and loops end quicker.

  • Fear is temporary. They can add something new. And in a month or so you’ll get used to it and the fear will wear off. This game is still scary to new players and players with extreme phobias of whatever is in the game for example clowns. It doesn’t matter what they add or do the game will never have anything that stays scary permanently for everyone.
