  • 22 hours also is such a strange random number.

Almost as if the DC penalty hit you multiple times of the 1 DC.

Could also be that every time you DC'd prior to this you didn't actually play to see how high your penalty went.

  • It takes 6-21 seconds to hook a survivor (3 second pick up, between 1-16 seconds carrying time, 2 second hook animation).

In that time 3 other survivors can do 18-63 charges of gens or 4,5-15,75% of their task to complete all gens. Now hooks tend to be generous and if you are moving towards where you need to go it saves some time but it's still a huge time investment and free progress you give to survivors.

If you don't tunnel and hook everyone twice before starting to sacrifice them that's 36- 126% to complete all gens you're just giving away. This ofcourse doesn't include travel time of the survivors so it will probably be closer to 20% but that's still huge just for the hooking process alone

So slugging not only isn't toxic. It's straight up a necessity against optimal survivors.

Forcing people to bleed out is another story ofcourse

  • Run the 5 hex totem build and they won't be notified of Undying's existence

  • Funny, I was just rewatching this.

Been asked and answered in the latest Q&A

    https://youtu.be/civV99mXFXo?t=1225

The question in question starts at 20:25 if the link didn't copy the timeframe

  • Sadly it depends a lot on wheter or not the killer slugs and despite people complaining about slugging it clearly isn't as rampant.

I would suggest empathy (required) unbreakabill, for the people and bond.

Lurk around a chase untill the survivor goes down and then go to quickly for the people them and take the hit. If you are lucky the killer will chase the other survivor giving you the chance to use unbreakabill for a challenge complete.

If you're unlucky and they pick you up you'll just have to hope you get unhooked later and you can try the same trick again

  • Nah people would just use the next strongest perk and we already can barelly keep the meta builds under control.

If you really want more variety introducing half perks would probably be better. Make some of the weaker perks half perks and only half perks can go in the 5th perk slot.

And make some of the stronger perks 1,5 perk slots that disable the 5th slot.

Now you have the choice of running many small benifits or a couple of large ones and you can play with that. People probably don't want to give up dead hard for botony knowledge but will be more tempted if they can trade dead hard for botony and empathy combined

Would take ages to implent though so it will be a fantasy i think

And when Killers are bad, they obviously lose. And some Killers in Red Ranks are horrible.

Yes, but should a player really have 3-4 minute matches just cause they are not that experienced? In those kind of matches you barely are able to learn anything.

Ideally matches should never be shorter then 5 minutes. Doesn't matter how good or bad you are. And that counts for killer and survivor.

I have no clue what the solution is to make this happen if there even is a solution. But the game would be so much better if extremly short matches just didn't exist period.

  • Regression no matter where it comes from will eventually regress the gen back to 0%

  • Press ctrl to switch from stab mode to throw mode.

Every throw knife hit takes away 10% of the deepwound timer.

Would have been a nightmare to balance but pretty funny

  • It's pretty decent but highly inconsistant.

No scratchmarks for 10 seconds can really confuse killers at certain tiles. Especially with poised not being run very often.

Problem is you don't choose when this happens. You just have to hope a generator gets popped at a crucial time.

It's a perk that when it works it works well. But don't expect it to work every match

  • I'll always dodge keys. A match with a key will just never be a good match.

DbD is a game of scales. At the start of the game the scales are completly to the survivor side. But everything that happens in the match slowly makes the scales go to the killer.

Injures require healing. Pallets get used, survivors need to be unhooked when gens get done the patrol area of the killer gets smaller etc etc.

And once the scales are tipping towards the killer it's very hard to tip them back. Especially once a survivor dies the progress of survivors tend to grind to a halt.

The thing with keys is that they come on effect usually right as the scales start tipping.

A match with a key has 3 outcomes

    1) you destroy the survivors before the key comes into play. And yes you've won but stompfest aren't exactly the most enjoyable matches.

    2) the survivors destroy you making the key redundant. Being at the losing side of a stompfest is even less enjoyable.

And 3) you face survivors of your level and right when things start going in your favor the game is over. That's like playing a racing game and the plug being pulled out when there is one more lap left. It's extremly unfun to have a game that could have been good just end in such a anticlimax.

9/10 when survivors escape with a key they really still had a chance to win normally

So yeah it's just not worth it to play against keys. And as long as survivors can escape without doing all the gens it will never be worth it to play against a key. Cause it robs you of what could have been enjoyable matches

  • Legion in this mode: sure i can't kill you but you sure as hell aren't making it out

  • Probably not going to mean much from a random internet person but it's good to see you actually found some friends here.

I also really suffered from social anxiety and was stupid enough to isolate myself from everyone.

It's good to see that you are actually looking for new people to meet

I've thought about it but I'm not looking to make my mental heath worse just for trying to make people's days better, at least not for now. I might do it again when I feel able to but the last one almost pushed me to tears so for my own sake I've stopped

Nobody can force you to put your mental health at risk for making other people day better with cute cow pictures.

But you can't stop us making you feel better with cute cow pictures

    Keep your heart strong

  • Feral Frenzy is bassicly a guaranty hit so from healthy to injured you don't need to chase for it.

Having zero terror radius means that you can catch survivors offguard and get a hit without a chase. Seeing how they are usually going to be injured that's a down without a chase.

When i say without a chase i do mean interactive chase. As in the survivor can make plays too.

Like I'm a Legion main. I wouldn't mind to see buffs. But if i have the choice between Legion how he is now vs a Legion where survivors will insta DC against again I'd prefer it to stay how it is now

Yes it's a uphill battle if you face good survivors but atleast your still playing the game.

Imma hijack this thought scott did a legion rework Concept and i love it.

    blendette with a knife.

    Cool concept bad rework.

Kinda surprises me that Scott came up with this. Giving a killer that can very effectivelly keep people injured stealth doesn't seem like the smartest idea unless survivors would really want to play vs a killer that gets downs with zero chases

I don't use it as a build focused around bodyblocking. I use it as a build focused around actually being able to chase and maybe even hit Survivors while carrying someone else. That's why I called it a taxi build and not an "anti-bodyblocking" build.

But that's the thing. There will be no more survivors to chase and maybe hit. They will all just run away the second they see the exposed effect.

You can run this with agitation and iron grasp to run to gens while carrying a survivor to force them of the gen but Mad Grit and this perk really fight eachother.

You can play what you want ofcourse. Just saying it probably won't have the effect you want it to have

Distressing and double calm add ons makes your TR huge. Or you can have fun with Thrilling Tremors to shock right before picking to block gens, hook and then find exposed survivor. It may be trying to do too much though lol

    Distressing/Star Struck/Corrupt Intervention/Thrilling Tremors

You could drop Distressing for BBQ or Whispers, or drop one Calm Add On for Restraint to see auras as madness tier goes up.

I think Doctor could see a good buff just from this perk as he is essentially an M1 killer with locating powers.

I don't think it will be too usefull on doctor as he really can't close the distance fast enough.

Assuming that the timer starts when you hook the survivor then if other survivors are 18m+ away from you you won't reach them in time.

That's only with running away. No looping or anything. Just running in a straight line.

That said there is some vallue in forcing survivors to run away from a hook and delaying the unhook. So it's not bad

But as far for getting actual exposed downs i wouldn't count on it, this is very much a perk that works in the background. Unless you play mobility heavy killers it's more about scaring survivors away from the hook then to actually get downs with it

There was no delay if the release date wasn't confirmed yet, all the information you seem to have was related to speculations, taken from non official sources.

Quoting what has been said about it:

    https://twitter.com/DeadByBHVR/status/1374098592256958467

Note that they still haven't announced a release date.

I've seen many people ( including myself derp) assume it's just going to be next week.

Just throwing that out there so we don't set ourself up for dissapointment twice now

  • He doesn't need a rework. He needs some QoL changes and an addon pass. That's it

Survivors want a rework because they hate a killer that can stall the game. They are used to 5-10 minute matches and something that turns it into 15-20 minute matches is horrible in their eyes.

Killers want a rework cause they suck at Legion. They are often the killer that will frenzy, run half a map to fatigue in front of a healthy survivor to then chase that healthy survivor normally. For how "easy" the legion is, I sure see a lot of people completly misplaying them

If this was in response to Scott's video then i suggest to ignore it. I like Scott but he has proven time in time again he is absolutly clueless when it comes to Legion

Picking them up and dropping them makes no sense if you are using the taxi meme build.

Using starstruck in the taxi meme build makes no sense in the first place.

Why would you make an entire build resolving around bodyblocking and then add a perk that shouts don't body block me.

That's like using Overcharge, PGTW, Oppression and Trail of Torment to then never kick a gen

Thirst is everywhere. There is no escaping it. Plus, some of the cosmetics and character models, side boobs, jiggle physics, just beg for the thirst.

Yeah you can really see BHVR has caught on what players really want.

    Even Clowns jiggle is back.

Gotta think big. It’s not about the perks but what makes you perk.

The complete and absolute thirstiness of players of this game will never cease to amaze me.

Straight up adult or hentai games don't have such horny players. It's a question science will never answer.

Not because they can't, but because they realise they shouldn't

  • @Mysterynovus said:

If I remember correctly, I think Otz tested it on perks and abilities that generate the TR remotely and the expose still takes effect. If that's the case, I'm curious how it'll go along with something like Dark Devotion.

Probably the same way like it does with all terror radius related perks.

The person affected by dark devotion will have been in the terror radius the whole time so will be exposed for 30+however long you carried the survivor.

The usefullness of this is questionable seeing how you have to, you know injure them to put the dark devotion on them in the first place. Big laughs if they just finished healing though

Also if you down the obession and then down and pick up someone else while dark devotion is active any survivor trying to pick the obsession up will be exposed so that would maybe scare some people from picking others up

  • I was expecting something more of every single one of her perks is good.

But yes. Side boob is a thing too i suppose.

I also find the whispers in corrupt form quite relaxing. The barf sounds not so much

  • @TAG said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2039953#Comment_2039953

Here's the thing to consider: If you pick someone up and start chasing another Survivor while carrying them, they are perpetually Exposed for as long as you are carrying them. In that case, it wouldn't just be 30 seconds. It would actually be 30 seconds + the amount of time you spend chasing that Survivor while carrying another. And then you factor in the occasional opportunity of someone grazing your TR and being tagged with Exposed as well (which is very possible with a 44-meter Terror Radius thanks to Agitation).

For normal m1 killers they won't be able to catch the survivor if they are smart.

For the speedy ones like nurse, spirit or blight it could indeed work pretty well if you know where the survivor is.

Also you don't need to hook the survivor. Pick them up and dropping them instantly will reduce how much distance the survivor can make. Do this and even m1 killer can use it

  • Mostly because the necro'd thread is most likely pointless now. And it just adds a confussing element to the front page.

It happens and it's sometimes funny to watch the chaos rise afterwards. If you don't do it like constantly it's not that big a deal.

Btw bonus points on the name lol

  • Ok guys clearly a meme.

2020 Legion is hanging out with friends

2021 Legion alone indoors and exhausted

Please don't read more into this and then be cranky your interpretation didn't end up true

  • Thanks for getting our hopes up for nothing >:(

    You Clown

  • Aah that blows.

But if it means a better product I'm all for it. Just going to awkwardly dance around max bloodpoints a week longer.

Still a bummer. Was going to use trickster to spend my time untill evil genius 2 releases next week

  • Imo yellow medkits are better then green ones.

Only a single addon or Botany to get 2 heals out of it

  • @AhoyWolf said:

This perk will be most likely used with Agitation, Mad Grit and Iron Grasp for memes, I cannot see it in an actuall game tbh.

It's actually bad in that meme build. You want people to bodyblock you with mad grit.

The only use i can think of for this is to make bbq better. People who run inside your terror radius to avoid the aura reading will have to play safe for a while.

30 seconds really isn't a long time though

  • We'll see.

I think it will be very strong. But not as strong as the meta we have now.

Smash hit allows you to make the most distance out of any perk and if you pull it off practically instantly ends the chase. If the killer still follows you after having sprinted 20+m away while they were standing still they are dooming themself.

That said survivors generally don't want to end chases they want to make them last as long as possible and dead hard for distance will still be the best way to do it.

Also conciddering there are many killers like all the ranged ones and powerheavy ones like nurse or spirit that you very rarely pallet stun so it's not usefull in every match up.

It will be good for solo's who can't rely on their teammates to do gens and would rather look to outlive their team then to escape together. Which is kinda a theme for Yun's perks

It's kinda sad to see another perk that the high tier of killers can ignore or laugh at but the low tier of killers will struggle against

  • Yes. It honestly should be meta even.

Ruindying has proven that being down a perkslot but ruin being up all game is powerfull.

So if you never got to use pop because ruin stayed up then you really should have won anyway.

Ruin also encourages people to stick to their gens so 3 genning is a lot easier and once you have a 3 gen both pop and ruin really start to shine

    @Sonzaishinai

You say that now, but after a few days survivors will know exactly how to counter him. Meaning you will basically never be able to use your power, since you are always slower than survivors while using your ability or ultimate.

Getting bullied with a 110% M1 killer and futilely trying to make it work doesnt sound fun to me.

Lets hope he gets some good buffs since he has some potential i guess.

We'll see. I would like some buffs too but i do feel that people are looking a bit too much at his weak side and not at his strong side.

Yes when you reach a long wall loop you can't do much. But vica versa if you have a low wall loop survivors are powerless.

Honestly the community really isn't that good at seeing how good or bad killers are so i would rather see for myself how good or not he is

I do hope that the ricochet basekit buff is still coming. I hate how they hide such a fun aspect of his power behind a purple addon. Hell i would take even a brown addon that adds one ricochet

  • I will play him, he's fun.

Will i "lose" a lot? Maybe but a fun game beats a won game.

  • Most likely they got full on objective points because of prove thyself and realised running you around untill you killed them would be worth more points then escaping asap.

    • Bamboozle
    • Brutal Strength
    • Fire Up

the 4th perk is a flex perk.

    • BBQ for Info and BPS
    • Pop / Ruin / Surge for gen regression
    • Enduring - Because screw those pallets, nothing can stop you. Legion is designed and has a faith of eating pallets for breakfast, noon and dinner.
    • Spirit fury - it's not as great without Enduring but it works. Brutal Strength also helps this perk.
    • Any other of your choice

I very much prefer Enduring since it synergies with Fire Up & especially Brutal Strength. However, I do choose Pop from time to time.

The whole Idea of Mr. X is every time fight him he becomes more powerful in the series. At one point he's human, then a monster, then an abomination. This applies to Legion as well. Every time you fight him, respectively, every time a gen is done, he grows in power.

Fire up can also mess up flashlight saving which is a very nice. I've had a few people rage at me for that. It was funny. It increases the speed at which you pick up survivors.

Bamboozle & Fire up make vaulting pallets / windows insanely fast. Bamboozle also blocks the window if you're vaulting in Feral Frenzy. Few know this. On top of this, once you have some stacks of fire up, 2+ you can vault very fast and make some impossible plays you wouldn't otherwise.

It's not by all means the best build but it can pull some absolutely insane plays.

This however requires an experienced legion player.

EDIT: as shi-.... Forgot to cover the addons.

For addons I would recommend the ones that increase feral frenzy duration

Then the ones that decreases his cooldown when getting out of Feral Frenzy.

If you're feeling extra spicy, use iridescent button.

That actually sounds amazing, not gonna lie

Ok then. Lets use that same logic the other way around. Lets say that the survivor team are great and do all of the gens with no one dying. Suddenly the entity pops out of the ground kills one random survivor.

This is essentially the same thing. The superior team being deprived of a full win despite clearly dominating and deserving it.

By your logic they should just accept that 3 escapes is a win and move on.

I mean as long as the killer has to do something to activate this simular to how the survivor has to find the hatch while moving slower and having to avoid detection from something and survivors have a way to stop it from happening like how killers can shut the hatch then i wouldn't have a problem with it.

They didn't say it was strong just unfun to play against and they acknowledged that and as a legion player who does abuse this sometimes with some broken addons when i just want a chill ez game i agree, are there more pressing issues yes should a change be made, not at the expense of other things but people are actually in the right to complain about it tbh

Fun is subjective though and things really shouldn't be changed for that unless it's something absolutly dreadfull to go against. Kinda reminds me of Forever Freddy. Difference is that against thanaruin you still can do something about it and Legion has to do something to actually make it work. Unlike Forever Freddy who just had all his slowdown by default

Longer games with more chases doesn't sound so bad. I would take a 20 minute Legion game vs a 5 minute game where i didn't interract with the killer at all or where i stepped in a trap and then got ignored in the basement any day.

Less time spend in lobbies, very likely to get all your bloodpoints in that match.

Now again fun is subjective and OP has every right to find it unfun and to voice their opinion on it. I'm just voicing mine that it's not something problematic and thus not likely to be changed. I use this combo too from time to time and i've never had games going 20+ minutes outside of survivors just hiding when there are 2 left.

  • How dare they use perks that actually synergize with their powers.

Thana adds 20 seconds to a gen if at full power if you work on it alone. 11.8 seconds with 2 persons.

Ruin can be cleansed and even if not only works if the Legion is actually not being lazy and going around defending gens

It's a strong combo yes. Nowhere near problematic.

By saying that things only possible on PC but not on console are exploits you're kind of implying that things possible on PC AND console are not exploits.

An armed robbery is a crime. But by saying that I'm kinda implying that a robbery where you are unarmed isn't a crime.

That's the twisted logic you are using. Don't see what people are implying see what they are actually saying

Things only possible on PC can be called exploits because if it was intended then they would have made it possible on all platforms.

That doesn't magically mean that if it works on all platforms it always is something intended. You're just twisting words at that point

  • Losing the first 3 gens is not the end of the world. Even if you only got a single hook by the time it happened you get your pressure ball rolling and you can make some plays.

I'm sorry but this is a mentality problem you are having. If you gave up in fighting everytime the opponent was able to bring you below half health you then you would have a bad time too. Same for racing games if you ever end up in last place. Or strategy games if the opponent rushes you and set's you back a bit.

The genrush is a problem when done correctly but it's not that much of a problem that you need to concede the second 3 gens get done

Never give up. This game can snowball insanly fast. Always play to the end. If you give up you always lose. If you keep playing at the very least you can atleast learn some things.

I don't mean this insulting but if you don't want to take some losing matches for experience then single player games with adjustable difficulty might be more suited for you. I know i had to give up on a couple of games because they went way above my head.

Starcraft 2 to this day is still the biggest waste of money I've ever had on videogames. Not because the game had problems or was bad but because i didn't want to bother with the high learning curve.

  • Sounds to me you desperately needs some changes to your sleeping schedule.

As someone who works in shifts i can feel this but this isn't a boring game problem

  • People really don't unddrstand how big of a deal movement speed is in this game.

Look at all the things that give hindered and you'll see that the duration of it is really short. There is a reason for that.

Most hindered effects slow the survivor 15%. If normal survivors run at 100% and standert killers at 115% then that means when hindered the difference would go from 15% to 30%.

That's twice as fast . Doing that for 30 seconds on any perk would be too strong unless you have to jump through 15 hoops to get there.

Edit: didn't see the 5% at first but that's still 33% faster chases.

Remove the cooldown of Zanshin and it would be fine. Knowing the survivor is running to a death zone or a safe pallet can save some time by allowing you to drop the chases earlier.

  • I don't have that much of a problem with it. If they do it I'll just wait bt out and put them down.

If it should be fixed then losing collision is better i think. That would also prevent the killer from bodyblocking the unhooked survivor untill bt runs out so it would be a slight buff if you use the perk like it's suppose to.

Problem is the addon of the medkit giving you the same effect. You'll be getting a lot more "window techs" if this change would happen

  • They really should make it that after 10 seconds of pushing collision is turned of for a couple of seconds.

That would prevent stuff like this and still allow killers to do what they want to do if they manage to block a survivor

  • Whatever you want it to be.

I would suggest not seeing 4 man escapes or 4 man kills as the only wins.

This is bassicly a flawless victory in fighting games and your view on balance will be really screwed if you only count that as a win

1 … 83 84 85 86 87 … 142
