  • It's kinda funny how we have a perk that makes you litterally invincible against all damage.

And the op part about it is that it dashes you forward a meter. A meter distance is more powerfull then becoming untouchable at the push of a button.

Like if dead hard didn't have that dash nobody would use it.

  • The point of ds isn't to stop tunnelers in their tracks but to give the survivor a fighting chance.

Ds gives you enough time to reach a safe place where you can loop. That's all it needs to do.

If you really want to stop tunneling alltogether then you need to look to make non-tunneling more rewarding instead of looking to punish players.

  • Yeah not a fan of that map too.

It's bassicly mobility killer or bust on that map

  • I wouldn't really call it that black and white.

There is value in getting your bottles where they need to go faster and in some maps you just aren't lobbing over anything. Lerys for example.

Beside, being a bit more beginner friendly is something clown really needs.

It is good to bring to attention that you lose the ability to lob over things that can be pretty powerfull. I wouldn't really call it a never to be used addon though

  • Legion is way ahead of you.

  • I use it sometimes but i like to mix and match. Especially being stuck with the weapon annoys me.

Also it does take away some mindgame potential on certain loops. Legion short size is one of their biggest bonusses they have in the m1 chase alongside that they are silent.

There are just certain loops were standert legion can mindgame and bunny legion can't. Not to mention being a yellow bunny makes you stick out like a sore thumb.

In general why people don't use it much.

  • You really shouldn't DC when this happens. They will think you dced because you were afraid of them and it will fuel their already inflated ego's that much more.

You know they want to be overaltuiristic so get them with that. If they mass bodyblock drop the survivor and go for as many hits as you can

Omg I thought I was the only person that did that with huntress 😂 glad to see its not just me being weird it's actually my favourite thing in the match as I suck as huntress so lightens my mood lol

    🐷💖

Yeah, it's a fun thing to do after missing every normal hatchet.

It's especially fun if survivors fully embrace duck mode and start crouching from one side to the other side

The GDPR states that a username is pseudo-anonymized information, so I wouldn't be so sure about that "your username is an asset of the game" claim.

Yeah like i said, not 100% correct.

    Thanks for correcting me though

  • LoL apperently had this happen once and the short of it is that they are streaming only assets from the game.

Your username also is an asset of the game. You do not have full ownership of your account as it can get terminated if you violate the rules and thus nothing owned by you is being used in whatever stream.

Not 100% sure this is correct but that seems to be the gist of it

  • Bad/good person is subjective and are just used to shame or put people on a pedestal.

Evil/good are pure concepts from mankind and as a whole are as meaningless as humanity itself.

Do what you want, when the human race inevitably goes extinct no one will remember you playing bubba on dbd

I'm not picking on DbD in particular. I think this is more a critique of streaming itself. If I'm instrumental in someone else making money, it seems only fair that I receive some contribution of it, or my consent is gained before I'm featured in a public video. I think my post is more a question about streaming in general. Behavior doesn't have the power to regulate Youtube or Twitch or people recording their own gaming footage.

Like i said it's probably somewhere in the terms of service of steam or whatever platform your playing on.

Twitch and youtube would have been sued to oblivion if that wasen't the case.

Not 100% sure of it cause I'm not going through multiple pages for this and i'm not a lawyer but it would really surprise me if that wasen't the case.

  • They won't cause it isn't a real problem.

Not long ago they made a challenge where you had to pick up 2 slugs in a game and everyone and their mother complained about how hard this was because killers didn't slug.

They are not going to implent a system to avoid a person having to wait 4 minutes once every 30 games or so.

Just alt tab and watch some youtube. Take a bathroom break. Get something to drink. Do some pushups. 4 minutes is not a big enough deal

  • Speak for yourself, i enjoy a good exit gate shenanigan from time to time.

My favorite is duckshooting with huntress where you stand as far as you can from the exit gate and try to hit the survivors running back and forth

  • Seeing how this is the case with every online game in existance it would very much surprise me if there wouldn't be something about it in the terms of use in either dbd or the platform you play dbd on.

I'm not going through all that text again but it may be possible that you already gave your consent.

  • Pallet vacuum was absolutly horrible. It was bassicly a free dead hard for distance at every single pallet.

In the grand scheme of things it wasen't totally broken but i hated it with a passion.

You can't really point to one thing about it being harder for killer in the past cause it's a lot of changes that influenced it. DS was way more impactfull, there were way more pallets, vault speed of killers used to be slower iirc so main buildings were a nightmare, pallets being litterally next to eachother, etc etc ....

DbD is bassicly completly different from when it started

  • Yeah in the right situations it's actually really powerfull.

The fact that those right situations need to happen in the 15 second timeframe you get it isn't ideal ofcourse

  • Make the pig skins out of paper mache maybe?

  • Give all the killers pig skins and save Alex.

    Everybody happy

  • Maybe reduce the increased stearing at the start of the rush. So you trade flicks for faster charge

  • 1/4 I can't control what my teammates bring while playing solo. Swf isn't the only game mode you know

Eventually killers would start taking the risk again to see if ds is really in this game so it's not a case of a free perk. The only reason killers respect ds now when there is an obsession is because the other obsession perks are either bad or obvious so you know for sure it's there.

Beside with the new changes you can just wait untill they do a action anyway so you don't need to play around ds as much anymore.

If you get hit by ds now you can comfort yourself they didn't do anything usefull for a while or you deserved it

That said it would be cool if obsession did something minor unrelated to perks for killers. Even if it's just extra bloodpoints

  • Like others have said. Of they only hit you once and then leave it was probably just to silince the scream.

If they hit you multiple times it's just bm

  • And just like that the game became horror again

  • On the one hand it would be tragic losing all my cosmetics and progress.

On the other i could be a bit smarter about which teachable perks to unlock and which ones you leave for after every killer has the important ones

  • PlagueDoctor.gif
    • Body is 1 character too swag.

  • I never noticed how much Ji-Woon looks like the babysitter perk untill now

  • First of all, it's impossible to defend all 7 gens against even average survivors so don't try. You want to pick 4 gens that are close together and focus on that area. A pallet broken around a finished gen is wasted time, a pallet broken around a unfinished gen is a potential hit every time you go to that gen. That's also why currupt is so good. Not because of the easier early game but because it ensures you have a defendable late game.

Second. You want to get into the habbit of constantly thinking how many survivors can be on gens. At the start of the match you are in the worst position cause all 4 survivors are on gens. When you are in a chase that's 3 survivors that can be on gens.

When one survivor is hooked and you are in chase with another and the other two are injured that means that the hooked survivor and the chased survivor can't do gens. The injured survivor is potentially healing and 1 has to save. Which translates to 0.5 survivors on gens.

It's ofcourse not full science but it helps to think this way.

Third. Slug, slug slug slug. It takes 6-22 seconds to hook a survivor plus whatever amount of traveling you have to do after the hook. That's a huge amount of time you are giving the other survivors to do stuff.

There is ofcourse the risk that if you got nothing done before the slug gets picked up you wasted a hookstate but thag risk is vital to take. In terms of pressure a slugged survivor is equal to a hooked one as it's still the slug and the person that has to pick them up that are not on gens.

It's less effective against a 4 man swf with unbreakabill but even if 1 solo runs to a slug that picked itself up with unbreakabill that's pressure you get.

Fourth: slug, seriously it's important. When 1 or 2 gens remain and all survivors are alive you really shouldn't be hooking unless you get 2 slugs or there really isn't anything around you

  • Yeah but the other changes make him a lot more playable.

With them there is actually a point in collecting data now.

  • If you don't get 13 hooks each game you're just bad

    To quote @burt0r

"You make several claims how survivors "ruin" it for killer and on the other hand just because of some buffs among some nerfs they should stop crying. Of course you would get called out for it. It would be similar to an individual whose name is quite famous for their one sided bias posts and they started pleading for the other side."

    Fair enough, missed that post

Ignore me, i'll just save that one cow that's sticking out it's tongue picture and take a nap.

  • Probably my sleep deprivation talking here. But i also don't really see how those previous post correlate with this one.

In his previous post the op complained about how he felt killers were weak.

In this post they complain about how killers aren't gratefull after they recieve buffs.

I don't really see how you can't both find killers weak and find that people aren't gratefull for buffs. Probably just some fellow who was struggling with killer, saw a lot of positive changes coming and get confused that people weren't happy yet while op was excited for the changes. The provocative tittle didn't help but still.

Now i don't agree with them and people should be able to voice if they think the changes aren't good enough but i really don't see how those previous post contradict what they said here. Or has this forum really just become a place where you have to pick one side and when you do you can't complain about the other anymore? And even if it was contradicting aren't people allowed to change their mind?

Most people instantly aplauded you for pointing this out so i'm probably missing something here but i'm really not seeing it. This feels very cancel cultury where you dug up some old post to silence whatever the topic at hand was.

  • Sweet, can't wait for this to drop.

I feel this will make him a lot more playable. Still not top tier but way more fluid.

Being more accurate and able to atleast somewhat keep up with survivors will help a ton

  • A 110% killer should be able to use their power almost at every tile. A 115% killer can have a circumstantial power.

So it's either change his power somehow that he can somewhat reliably use it at almost every tile. Or bumb up his speed.

Honestly i think just making him not slow down while holding out and throwing daggers would be a world of difference

  • Yeah too bad it has that weird bug where it gives you a terror radius.

I don't know how else to explain how every survivor starts running away from you when it activates

  • Well obviously, forums are the place people go to vent after frustrating matches. Reddit is a meme of itself.

  • Zero so far but i didn't get hit with it a ton before the change too.

Very happy those 55 seconds ds are gone

  • I think you don't know how shotguns work

Tbh I feel you're overstimating how hard these things are with Clown. His bottles are an AoE so it's not like bottle placement is something hard to get the hang of. The fact he doesn't slow himself down when throwing bottles anymore also makes it waaaay easier.

Mechanicly he's easier then nurse yes.

Knowing where they should go is the hard part.

And tbh i see a lot of clown players mess the bottle tossing up. Myself included some days. I really wish the bottles traveled faster. That would make a huge difference

  • Honestly i would have prefered it so much more if the transition time between charlotte and Victor was a lot faster but victor has to stay relativally close to charlotte.

So it's more about tagteaming in chase and less about being able to be in 2 places at once.

  • No

What I'm saying is that clown needs to know more about tiles.

As a nurse you need to know how tiles are run so you can make predictions

As clown you need to know how tiles are run and what places your gasclouds are places best that they'll aid you/hamper the survivor the most plus you need to be able to recognise them before hand so you can get your yellow gas bottle in the right place before you get there so that you don't have to awkwardly wait 2,5 seconds there.

Kinda like how blight needs to not only know how tiles are run but also where they need to bumb to intercept the survivors running said tile

That doesn't mean nurse doesn't need to learn anything. With nurse it's all about where you are, where the survivor is and if you can mechanicly land the blink.

With blight it's where you are where the survivor is where the bumb spots are that allow you to get to the survivor and if you can mechanicly do the rush.

With Clown it's where you are, where the survivor is, how many bottles you need, where they need to go and mechanicly getting the bottles in the right place all preferably before you even reach the tile.

There are just more variables when it comes to clown compared to nurse

  • After playing a bit with trickblades I've come to the conclusion they are not the answer. The terrain is just too inconcistant to make it worthwhile and increasing the damage per bounce just goes back to throwing knives at the survivors feet to increase your damage with little to no effort.

Maybe if the ricochet blades had a small homing effect to them so you can easilly hit a non-moving survivor crouching behind terrain but that doesn't sound promising too

He just needs to be faster. Either zero slowdown while throwing knives or 115% by standert. And either the spread of the knives or the recoil needs to go. Preferably the spread for me but for console probably the recoil.

Also main event needs to be activatable whenever you filled the bar.

I don't think he needs more damage or even less laceration decay. He just needs to be able to hit knives more reliably. That will solve the damage and decay too

  • "because he is not hard to play"

That's the mistake you make. He needs blights level of dedication. I would argue Clowns harder then nurse.

With nurse once you get the basic mechanics and muscle memory down you're good to go. For Clown for each tile you need to know where best to place your bottles and make sure 1 of them is already is in place before you get there

  • I've been getting hit with the swamp maps a rediculous amount.

    So yeah pure rng madness

  • There really should be a wildcard perk every 10 bloodwebs or something where you can choose which perk you want.

  • After numerous times of sticking around and ending being the one left behind I've learned my lesson.

I won't automatticly leave ofcourse but when the risk outweighs the benifits I'm out.

You can yell all you want that this is a teamgame but it isn't. Outside of the odd challenge you have zero benefit when other survivors make it out.

They are a recource to be used to escape. That's a playstyle this game offers.

Ofcourse if it seems doable to save i will because of the bloodpoints. But you escaping is mostly in your hands. If you want a bunch of mindless minnions that gladly sacrifice themself so you can live you need to find a swf that wants to do that

  • Changes are on their way.

Even when he becones decent to play he'll still be a depip machine. As long as laceration doesn't count towards emblems pipping is a long distant dream

  • Demopuppy is dissapointed by your not-goodboy behaviour.

She isn't uncounterable. She's just one of the few killer that you actually need to play differently against.

Facing a nurse is a breath of fresh air in this game

  • Sweet, can't wait to hear what they'll do
