trickster still can't save his main event after update
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/240987
So the main event still only has a 15 second activation window, you can't save it when you want.

Yeah but the other changes make him a lot more playable.
With them there is actually a point in collecting data now.
I'm interested in seeing how he is after these changes. Removing the recoil instead of toning it down does make me worry that this'll be a "if the killer can aim you're absolutely ######### in any situation" cough slinger.
But at least he might be playable now. I still think letting the killer store Main Event to use as a punisher for goruping teams would be cool.
his main event is too situational if you can't save it.
9 times out of 10 I don't want to use main event when it activates
I'd like to see where he is after the buffs before we buff anything else.
These changes are significant, and we don't want to overbuff him.
And what's wrong with killers having good aim being successful with their powers?
I'm pretty sure the only reason why mentioned slinger and not huntress is bcs with slinger your ads windup time is next to nothing. Survivors will just have to constantly zigzag/unpredictably move to avoid a potential spear hit and be slowed down in the chase bcs of that OR they could just run in a straight line and get hit by spear and then get hit by basic attack :/
I'm very disappointed you still can't save his main event for when you want
Its not that thats a bad thing. It's just that when you make a killers power have zero counterplay if the killer is skilled with it (i.e removing all survivor skill no matter how good or bad they are in comparison) it makes for extremely unenjoyable gamplay.
Theres a reason Slinger and Spirit are as hated as they are, while killers like Blight and (old) Billy are loved.
That's why you keep objects between you and the deathslinger so he has a harder time getting a shot. Also the chain can be broken so it's not like being shoot is the end of the world against deathslinger.
Saying Deathslinger and even Spirit have no counterplay is just a lie. They do have counterplay, just not a lot.
Deathslinger can't shoot through walls. He can't downs at safe pallets. His chain can be broken.
Spirit is harder to counterplay than Deathslinger, but crouching does make you quieter which can be useful for juking a phasing spirit. She can't phase through walls so safe windows/pallets are still an issue for her and her phase duration is 5 seconds at base so enough distance and she can't realistically catch up to you while phasiing.
Deathslinger can literally spam M2 in any situation and you have to respect it or get shot. Spirit is Spirit.
I still think deathslinger should pull survivors through pallets to break them
this action of course works like his broken chain effect. Deathslinger gets stunned but survivor walks away with mending
That would be a great ultra rare add on, compared to the bad ones he currently has
yeah, it basically just works well only in two scenarios:
every second "blades only" chase finisher
get it charged when multiple survivors (f/e when unhooking) are nearby to get ONE down
With the spread being eliminated, you might actually be able to get more than just 1 down since with good aim you won't lose daggers to rng.
Maybe its planned but they want to fix his base power before testing idea's on ptb
I can't help but feel like people are a little ungrateful. We didn't get every change we wanted, so what?
We getting it in a bug fix and not ptb with it also being actually decent changes that aren't 6 months delayed.
We got something good but most people are complaining about what they wanted and didn't get
I suspect they'll buff main event further after they get him to a playable state but yeah, you need to be able to activate it manually because it's way to situational currently.
yeah BHVR is really afraid to make main event usable instead of a less effective then just using an m1 or even just his normal blades
If people can't 4k every game with no effort, then clearly the game isn't balanced.
That said, all I said he needed as a buff was making it easier to aim and taking longer to charge his power, but let him store it.
As long as they don't make him a 115%, it's fine.
