I wonder if they use skillchecks instead if perks will work on it.
Impossible second hookstage doctor here i come
-
The thing is that the meaning of merciless killer has changed a lot over the years.
At the start it was just maxing out your bloodpoints i believe
Then it was getting a 4k
To now where it's tied to emblems.
Where escaping always stayed the same.
Adept being this painfully hard is just a sad side effect of how they worded it 5 years ago

Then is a bad perk? seems better than the anothers. Detective Hunch can be good but only 10 seconds u can forget the placements o remember only 1 if killer is catching you or doing pressure. Deja vu sometimes don't help much since the 3 pointed motors are far.
Detective hunch is miles better. Mostly because it shows you so much. Gens, totems and chest. Especially the totem part is crucial to deal with killer hexes
What visionary has above Detective Hunch is that it's easier to use. No need to finish a gen or remember where the aura's were.
One mayor weakness of visionary is that it's disabled for a while after a gen is finished which is just when you need to find the next gen the most.
It's honestly a real headscratcher why this is a thing and really sabotages how good this perk can be.
In short, it's good to run if you're new but you should eventually replace it
-
Each proc on surge is takes about 6.5 seconds for a survivor to fix back up. so that's not all that great.
The real benifit is, simular to ruin, that you don't have to waste time kicking the gen and for every 4 seconds that pass another second get's added to the above. And seeing how you are close it will take a while before survivors will touch it probably so it will scale rather fast.
that it works with regressing gens is just a cherry on top. It's pretty good.
The m1 requirement and the relativly short range does reallly hurt it though
-
Depends on the map but i usually do fine without spinechill.
All stealth killers have audible queues that when you pay attention to it you can avoid the gen grab even without having good line of sight.
The only time i got grabbed of a gen recently was against a Legion with tinkerer because that killer just has zero sound queues on everything they do outside of frenzy.
Spine chill is still handy ofcourse because of the extra distance you can make with your head start but it really isn't a nececity
-
Even if he was good this would happen.
His power doesn't give anything to chase. You have to deliberately play worse on a killer that already isn't the best.
Leave it for later. He really needs perks right now to make work
-
If if it works for you go nuts.
Suddenly getting everyone down is the only way you beat a good survivor team with him so you can't really fault that
-
Playing this game in short burst is better anyway.
You don't let all the little frustrations this game has build up
-
Your name is spot on.
-
I think the biggest problem is that people just play this game way to much. They let the frustrations of the game build up and then still keep playing.
I always have another game i play alongside DbD and play mostly like 2-3 matches a day. Killer and survivor. Maybe more on days were i have more time but those are rather rare.
And with that I still enjoy the game. Mc Cote get's meme'd a lot but his advice to play Civ 5 is actually solid gold. If the game starts to frustrate you play something relaxing and come back later
-
I would never notice if bloodlust get removed. If it activates and you're not having a hit or pallet break within the next 5 seconds you're doing something wrong.
But hey they might rework Beast Of Prey to hide your red stain so you might get your wish kinda.
-
Hitboxes are a bit better but still not perfect.
Still a bad community but there is a language filter now. Filters a tad too much but hey it's there.
Balance wise PH recieved a small nerf that delays him slightly longer when he fakes his power so it's not really a complete lose lose situation.
Other then that deathslinger will probably never change. He's not really a problem cause he has counterplay. You might not like it and that's totally valid but it is there. While it all boils down to wether slinger misses or not the survivor can make that shot harder by playing in certain ways
Honestly you really shouldn't be asking this stuff on a forum. 95% of people are here venting about something frustrating that happened while playing. You're not really getting a unbiased answer.
Best thing i advice is just try it. See if you like it and if you don't just leave it be again
-
At first i was wondering why trickster wasn't in this poster but i guess that wouldn't have been the best representation :p
Good for spreading awareness though. There are people harrasing asian people that never even been to china.
-
The easiest fix is to make the hatch just not spawn untill all gens are done or a single survivor is left. Just a number change like the mori was.
But apperently they are reworking keys and mori's completly. It probably won't even be able to be used for escaping when they are done. Maybe it will end up being a reverse breakable wall where survivors can spend time and a key to make certain unsafe loops safer.
And with that change how the hatch works so all people can escape through it without needing a key. Something like when both exit gates are open the hatch opens too
Who knows what they'll do.
-
I really like him. The personalitty just oozes from him.
It's just such a shame his power is situational and that's not something a 110% killers power should be.
I found that tapping m1 works a lot better for me then holding m1 for throwing knives.
Probably confirmation bias but i feel like it significantly reduces the spread while not really lowering the speed by that much.
-
-
Much more usefull the making the laceration meter go down slower when you are out of knives. By the time you reloaded the survivor is long gone anyway.
Honestly his only good addons seem to be movement speed while throwing and ricocheting. Atleast his purples really change his power though
-
Even if he was strong he would be perfect for depipping.
His knives don't give any chaser score. at all.
-
I found that spamming m1 instead of holding it down really helps with accuracy while throwing knives. Could be confirmation bias but i feel that the spread of the knives is a lot less that way. Seriously though it makes a huge difference. My matches are certainly improving with him.
As in i can actually get a few hooks and kills with him now
The biggest problem is he is so slow. If you have a map with a lot of tall loops you're doomed. even worse if you have an indoor map. shack for example is just a lost cause if survivors realise they can run around the outskirts and you can get maybe 1 or 2 blades each corner or chase forever around it as a 110% killer.
All in all though after having some matches with him. I think he will be a fine addition to the roster once he's out of alpha.

Babysitter isn’t supposed to be a BT substitute. It’s to know whether or not it’s safe to heal at the hook or see if the killer is immediately coming back. If the killer IS coming back, the Babysitter user is supposed to use their aura to draw aggro away from the unhooked survivor, and hope whoever that is isn’t a total idiot that starts following you.
"and hope whoever that is isn’t a total idiot that starts following you."
And that's where the plan fall appart. In solo the only thing this does is that the killer can see the aura of your dissapointed face when the unhooked survivor runs straight into his arms
-
Trilling tremors is pretty nice cause you can see if there is a gen that's being worked near you can go to with your backpack
-
Normally i would agree but trickster as is is just a lost cause.
Between the spread, the recoil and the insane slowdown of throwing knifes there is no getting good at it.
The knives are so random that every knife you throw is just rolling the dice.
Sometimes you get lucky and the knives go relativilly where you want them to go. Other times it's like the survivors have a magnetic field that repels the blades.
-
You can stop asking us now
Lol
-
You can't even talk about him in chat any more. He's slowly fading away
-
I always play dbd as a side game.
I always have a game i can fall back on when i need a small break from dbd
-
I wish he wasen't so amazing easthetically.
All the little audio snipplets are just amazing and something about his eyes just gives me the creeps.
I never liked the twins but it was easy for me to put them aside. This guy isn't. I really want to play with him but the mechanical side of it is just so frustrating
-
A day where every character has googly eyes pls
-
Well one tip i can certainly give is that flashlights don't work when you look down or up. This doesn't work when you are in an animation like kicking pallets but other then that you can't be blinded
The reason the flashlight blind lasted that long is probably because they kept blinding you over and over while you kept looking forward.
Other then that look up some video's on "How to run tiles as killer" those will help a ton with knowing how chasing works in this game
-
5 second stun. Of those 5 seconds you can move about 4 seconds because it takes a moment before you can move.
4s × 4m/s= 16 meters of distance
The difference between a killer and survivor movement speed is 0.6m/s for standert killers so it would take 16/0.6= 26.66 seconds before the killer can catch you. About 25 seconds if you count the lunge.
That is more then enough time to find a tile to defend yourself. Ofcourse if you run into a corner and trap yourself you're doomed but that's on you having poor map awareness and not on DS being bad.

I like how you mention Nurse and not Spirit. But yeah, I do, its better than slowdown IMO.
Make a macro that reverses your controls with the push of a button.
Bam entire rework turned obsolete. And there would be a lot of people that would do this cause reverse controls are just annoying
-
It's homestly a shame. He looks and sounds so amazing but he is a nightmare to play
-
Don't know about meta but it's really good.
Even if you don't get a single down with it. Forcing survivors to hide or run away from you can be a huge time waster
-
Look about 5 degrees down
-
I like Scott, he's a smart fellow. But he really shouldn't be on a balance team. He suffers a lot from the "player makes a bad developer" clause.
His rework series so far really isn't that good.
His Legion change would make Legion a killer that can easilly injure and then can down using stealth which means survivors litterally would never get chased.
His Clown rework makes bottles useless and just slaps a teleport and calls it a day. It would be weaker then current clown and even more unfun to vs.
His trapper one was pretty good though bar some numbers that would need changing.
I'm pretty sure he isn't being serious with it and just throwing out fun idea's without thinking about how well it would work

Green ranger was my favorite.
That flute dagger was badass

Nope, as they aren't m1.
But you also need to stack them whilst m1'ing so it is kinda a give and take.
You're thinking of Save The Best For Last
Play With Your Food is the perk that gives movement speed when you drop a chase with your obsession
-
Never punish people, encourage them.
Don't ban a perk every week but have a day each week where one lesser used perk is buffed.
-
I was excited too.
Too bad evil genius 2 releases today too and that tickles my nostalgia bone just to much to ignore.
I'll still buy trickster. Just won't be playing as much for the next couple of weeks. Just too many good games

Kinda hard not to get stuck in that mentality when literally everyone is and is there any wonder why when killers use the fact that we can see bully as an excuse to be toxic to just any survivor
You're doing it again.
People do the exact same thing when they play survivor. You're just choosing to only see one side of the negativity.
Also not all killers do this. Just like not all survivors "bully". Just because you had bad experience with one doesn't mean you can generalize the entire group.
Look how you say that every killer is toxic because you saw 3-5 people making a demeaning thread about the nerf of a perk.
Not to mention that this happens every time something that was used a lot gets nerfed regardless of "side"
-
You must be pretty new. People did the exact same thing when mori's were nerfed. And old ruin. And balanced landing. Etc etc.
There is no side that is more toxic. Both of them have people that act like children. And with how you are stuck in the "us vs them" mentality you're not much better
-
You've really opened pandora's box with this one lol.
Dead hard as intended is fine. On the weaker side even. Dead hard for distance is busted. It's kinda funny how we have a i-frame move and the op thing about it is the 1m dash it does
Remove the "for distance" part of it by adding a 2 second unable to interact with objects like docs shock and it will be fine.
Can still be used for distance but them atleast you have to do it earlier giving the killer the chance to drop the chase and you won't be able to do it when the killer outplays you with a mindgame unless you actually avoid a swing
-
Good, if you don't enjoy it you move on.
Better then all the people that force themself to play a game they clearly don't enjoy to then just complain about it.
If you ever decide to come back i recommend to play dnd as a side game. DbD imo is best enjoyed in short burst so you don't let the frustrating parts of the game build up.
-
It's good but not really that powerfull. It stops survivors that only know how to run the one busted loop in every map but that's about it.
It's a healthy perk in that it makes chases more dynamic while still leaving options for the survivor. They still are at the other side of a vault so they can still look to chain loops or use the pallet.
Sadly for a perk to be really good it needs to be stronger then that. It's not a perk you would be ashamed of of running but it's nothing really to write home about.
-
High C low B i would say.
Very high chase power but that's all he has. All your pressure needs to come from your ability to down people fast and against effecient survivors who split up that just isn't enough.
The biggest problem with Clown right now isn't really that he's weak but that he is punishing as hell to play. Messing a chase up even once can completly cripple your pressure.
This can make learning him really frustrating cause if you mess a chase up twice in a row you bassicly lost.
What he needs is faster bottle velocity so you don't need to plan 5 seconds ahead of everything or enlarging the area of his clouds to reduce the chance of having the gas just out of the loop you are trying to influence.
Bassicly very hard killer to learn. Will get dominated by a tournament squad every time. But if you are dedicated enough to learn him you will crush any non tournament squad with ease
-
I'm really excited for him. I'm not expecting any more buffs coming though. I suspect they want to wait untill people actually played with him and they have some data.
Not going to win as much as him but fun is more important anyway.
-
I wouldn't really compare him to huntress but more to Myers. It's not about getting that one accurate shot like with huntress but more about keeping the survivor in your los for a certain amount of time. The gameplay that i found of the ptb reminded me a lot of people avoiding feeding Myers.
It takes a long time to down a survivor that knows how to avoid los so against really good survivor he will probably struggle. But if you can handle losing a game once in a while without throwing a tantrum it doesn't really matter.
I would suggest to wait a week if you are unsure. Watch the gameplay of some streamers and make up your mind then.
I'm still hoping that atleast 1 ricochet becomes basekit. It is the most fun and unique aspect of him and it blows it's hidden behind a rare addon
-
"There's no feeling more intens then starting over"
Atleast this game doesn't play jazz music when you mess up
