Dead hard works 100% of the time if you use it well and for most killers has little to no counterplay.
You are using it wrong.
Protip: pretend the I-frames don't exist

The survivors you go against will be the same, but the emblems will be a lot more forgiving.

The problem is more the artificial increase in difficulty because of the Emblems. Like, I had an Oni-Daily lately, so I decided to try to get my Adept. What did I get? 3 Iridescent and 1 Gold, because the Chaser Emblem was only gold, because I got punished for using my Power 4 times on healthy Survivors (and near the end they did not heal, so I was not able to remove that many Health States either).
Outside of Red Ranks I would have gotten my Adept. So I gladly take on the same Survivors when the Emblem System does not require me to have 4 Iridescents.
You are correct, Forgot emblems are more forgiving at lower ranks
My bad

Killer adepts are going to get a lot easier when we get reset to 20 every month, so there'll be no need for any of this
Ranks will only be reset to 20 each month when MMR arrives which means that adepts are going to be significantly harder with a killer you already played a ton.
There will be no difference in the skill level of survivor based on reset when that happens
-
Not
Change them entirely I say
Stab wound studies could add incapacitated status to frenzy. Stop survivors from doing gens while in deep wounds.
Would be infinitly more usefull then a relic to a killer design that didn't work

Probably to throw the other theories some breadcrumbs

It’s cool that you watched the movie. Did you like it?
From what I remember it drops off in quality after 2. Don’t watch Pinhead in space.
It was allright
Didn't really satisfy my curiosity of who pinhead actually is as he wasen't that much in the movie ^^'
Might watch the second one tomorrow. I guess it's kinda like a Friday the 13th case where Jason also wasen't really present in the first movie

Yes. but it seems odd that one messed up and no others did and that haven't fixed it
Do you really think they will call it hellraiser teaser and then not be it.
There is trying to bamboozle someone and there is straight up lying.
Having watched the movie today since i've never seen it it's very clear the flower in the tv refers to pinhead

Cawthon can justify his political donations any way he wants. It's his right. But it's also my right to criticize him for it. He didn't say "I hate the gays." He just donated to people who tend to espouse those views. He said he supported President Trump. Well, Trump banned trans people from serving in the military. Does that mean Cawthon agrees? Does it matter what Cawthon personally believes if he's still willing to pledge political support to someone anti-LGBT+?
In my view, there is no way to reconcile the two. Even if he himself isn't anti-LGBT+, if he is still willing to support people who are anti-LGBT+, to me that shows how little he cares about me and people like me. Which is really sad, because I liked FNAF as a teen. But now I see the brand as toxic, just like Harry Potter.
Love how the dude has donated 50K to a lgbtq charity and it's all meaningless after he donated to a political program with hunderds of ideas where a couple of them happen to be anti-lgbtq.
Remember kids, never do anything good in your life. It's all wasted the second you do something people don't like.
Hate will always be stronger then love

Honestly sounds funny to me that the hatch person got screwed like that.
Sounds like something you would do among friends to mess with them.
I would totally do things like that just for the giggles. Who takes a game seriously anyway?

Next chapter is most likely original (we've only ever had three licensed chapters in a row, IIRC), but I know that won't stop them.
Honestly looking forward to an original chapter.
BHVR creativity is one of my favorite things about this game

Well it's not fnaf this time but remember

One random tweet from someone that works at BHVR Vs a week of teasing and clue dropping just for it to mean nothing is a huge difference imo.
True i agree.
I'm not trying to argue that it is going to be springtrap. Just appreciating that the clues still somewhat point in both directions

For me it's the fact the tv literally shows a scene from the movie, and they spelt hellraise, like how could it be anything else, and the pin too? Seriously reaching imo.
Remember this quote at the 4th anniversary where most people thought it was candyman
"this anniversary is going to bee pretty sweet 🍬"
You know who wasen't the killer that released? Candyman, the killer that released had absolutelly nothing to do with this quote.
You say people are reaching but bhvr already showed that you have to reach for their clues. P heads big sign was the letter 4 .
Frankly i would be dissapointed if it was Hellraiser and people figured it out like 4 days before the ptb.
That said the scene in the tv is pretty much a giveaway so i personally still believe it's hellraiser.
I just wouldn't be surprised if they pulled a bamboozle on us again
-
It is pretty amazing how they keep showing teasers that apply to both fnaf and hellraiser despite them having almost nothing in common
1987 being both the release date of hellraiser and the bite of 87
Bell icon can be both the instrument that plays when hellraisers appear and the sound of when you finish a night in fnaf.
Personally i'm pretty sure it's hellraiser but you have to have a pretty biased mind to think fnaf is already ruled out
-
I'm hoping it's springtrap for the sole reason that so many forum dwellers don't want him
-
Because it's a pretty vague concept.
Killer has a challenge to kick x pallets and needs one more, is able to slug the last 2 survivors and then look around for a pallet he can kick. Is that bannable?
Or more extreme case I'm able to slug the 2 last survivors and before i can pick them up my kid falls on the floor. If i drop everything to go help my kid should i get banned? Cause from the survivors point of view it certainly looks like i'm bming.
-
Note for people who don't know that he left of good terms.
No drama here just a man spreading his wings to fly into his own sunset
-
I mean by that logic we shouldn't be getting either of them.
There are far bigger horror icons left then these two.
Also licising isn't really a pick and choose your favorite you know.
Also also unless something drastic has changed in the last couple of hours i was asleep nothing is set in stone yet.
Personally i would really surprise me that the letter scramble is the titel of the character getting released. Seems to easy to find. These are the devs who hid pyramid heads teaser in the number 4.
I think it's a quote the scrambling letters are forming and then the table is really open for anything
-
Hooking a survivor takes 6-22 ish seconds
That's 7,5-27,5% of a generator a survivor can do. Times 3 if all survivors are on gens.
Torment and cages reduces that to a couple of seconds. It's actually a pretty big deal. All the benifits of hooking and slugging at the same time

Before getting a bad match was a matter of luck: sometimes you get good teammates, sometimes you get potatoes, sometimes you get tryhard killers, sometimes you get potato killer. Now I seem to only get potato teammates and sweat lords of killers. So yeah, one could say it's become even worse than it was before.
Have you conciddert the posibility that you are a potato survivor getting matched with other potato survivors and the killers seem like sweat lords cause there is nobody carying you right now.
And the more games you lose the more it will give you potato killers to better match you.
Not trying to be accusing just throwing that possibility out there

-
I'm hoping it's Springtrap just so this pointless debate wheter he fits or not can finally come to an end
-
Nothing alike.
Old Legion folowed you in a straight line but faster. There was nothing you could do against it
We will have to see how the new 15 seconds before decay is but there is counterplay now in avoiding to be hit.
Problem is survivor players who know he can throw over low loops but still insist on trying to loop it.
When playing against trickster recognize the loops he struggles with and beeline it for them while keeping los in mind. Taking the injure state you will get on the way.
He now either has to catch up to you speedboost as a 110% killer and then deal with a loop his power isn't effective or leave you be.
And if you have a good way of healing yourself. Trickster is kinda screwed at this point
-
God i hope they change bps to become ultra rare.
You'll see them much more often then
-
Known Issues
- The Executioner's rear may still be too flat
Ok that one cracked me up
-
Mass slugging is a better counter to keys imo.
Play normal at the beginning without killing people and then when there is 1-2 gens left look for the 4 man slug
-
You know how when you blow a skillcheck you can't progress for 3ish seconds.
I think that would be a good thing to add to a kicked gen. 3 seconds of working on it before it can progress again. The gen regresses untill this happens.
That equals about 3.75%
-
I can't remember last time i was in bl 3
BL outside of the first tier becomes largely irrelevant after you reach green ranks. Even the first tier is debatable
-
In general
Survivor working at 1 charge per second is white
Survivor working at less then 1 charge a second is red
And more is yellow
A survivor working with another survivor gets a 15% penalty so theh work at 0.85 charges a second. That means that together they have 1.7 charges a second and do the gen faster then 1 person would but you are individually slower.
I agree it is a bit confusing
-
Yeah outside of meme'ing they are horrendous.
Even with meme'ing they are bad tbh
-
People seem to be discussing the new chapter quite a lot suddenly.
Is it to be revealed soon?
Also chase perk pls. No more slowdown i wan't a fanshy smashy chase tool.
-
I hope chucky
He would have to have a interresting pallet breaking mechanic.
-
BT: 3 seconds of 150% movement speed while the killer is wiping their weapon means 18m of distance
Standart killers take 30 seconds to catch up to that if you keep running.
DS: 5 seconds of 100% movement speed while killer is stunned means 20m of distance. Which takes 33 seconds to catch up.
Even when taking killers abilities into acount it should be enough to find a tile to play if resources aren't depleted.
DS and BT are there to give you a fighting chance. Not give you the win just by equiping a perk.
It's a 4v1 game. To really stop tunneling you need teammates to bodyblock for you. If they don't and you die without them even taking damage then you need to redirect your frustration to your teammates.
Survivors have every tool to seriously hamper tunneling. They just prefer to wave their fist in anger to the killer while staying a safe distance away
-
Second wind is amazing but it suffers what most survivor perk suffer from and that's being completly overshadowed by the meta perks.
Why take Second Wind and have a chance of not being able to use it cause you couldn't heal anyone when you can use DS that always activates.
Why take something that requires you to jump through a hoop when you can get it effortlessly
-
Concistant counterplay is bad. If there was a counter to a killer that worked 100% of the time then there would be no point to playing said killer.
That said. No counterplay at all makes it no point in playing against that killer either
-
Most people come to forums to vent.
That's why you see a lot of negativity here. It is a minority though.
The mayority enjoys the game obviously. People wouldn't play it if they didn't
-
New Trickster is nothing like old Legion.
Old Legion had an autohit ability that downed you after 4 or so hits. No matter what the survivor does Old Legion could follow in a straight line after them
If you vault against trickster he has to slowly vault the window or walk around it. Same for pallets.
Legions progress never went away cause they were constantly on your tail so you couldn't do mending actions.
10 seconds of not getting hit is all it takes to start taking progress away for Trickster.
And if he runs out of knives the chase ends right there. Legion never ran out of power. He didn't need to stop chasing go recharge it.
Not only is the comparison wrong. It's laughably wrong.

"Use your eyes" and "never step in tall grass". What if half of the nearest loop is in tall grass? Oh, right, "take a hit", sounds like a great advise. And then what? Just take the second one too, since the other loop is also in tall grass? And then "just take a hook", "just take a death", "just take an uninstall". Seems like trapper has quite a lot of counter play for soloQ survivors!
Have some general awareness? Trappers can't trap the whole map. They are a territorial killer, running towards completed gens for instance is a good way to know there won't be traps there. Something you should be doing anyway after getting hit
If you do the above it stops at take the hook, cause all gens will be done. If they aren't then it wasen't trapper that beat you but your teammates.
I'm sorry but complaining trapper of all killers having no counterplay just shows a real lack of experience.
There is a reason people concidder him the worst killer
-
@Junylar said:
One simple question for you: how do you, as a survivor, counter a trap you have not seen yet, while being chased by the trapper? Think about it.
Use your eyes and never step in tall grass. Just tank the m1 hit and force the trapper to either abandon you allowing you to heal or be forced to chase you to a non trap zone after 20 seconds of slowly catching up.
-
Trickster is a killer who has amazing strengths and crippling weaknesses.
Too bad the survivors choose for the most part where chases happen.
Against avarage survivors or those who refuse to adept and still try to loop low walls against this guy he's pretty good.
Face survivors that run in a zigzag motion straight to the high wall loops/buildings using any speedboost you will give them when you injure them l and ignore everything inbetween and Trickster breaks apart.
-
Mario almost getting stabbed by sephiroth is the greatest thing i've seen in a trailer ever so i agree with this
-
The game is build around tension. A lot of it is build around hairsplitting moments.
The moments where you physically move foreward when you lunge to get a survivor right before he drops the pallet. Or when you are able to vault in the nick of time before getting hit and your whole body tenses up. Or when you face ghostface and have to look around frastically to avoid getting grabbed.
It's what makes the game so good and addicting. Sadly tension can lead to frustration when there is to much of it.
People who get frustrated are usually the ones with tons of hours and who play long 2-3 hour sessions. Especially if those people don't learn to quit and take a break after a bad match but jump straight into another.
DbD isn't actually that rage inducing on it's own. People just let tension and adrenelline build up to much untill they become stressed and frustrated

So he's fun to verse ? I don't care if they make him stronger just make him less ######### to play against
Fun to verse is subjective.
I find him fun to verse. I like that you have to play different then normal.
Just because a couple of people are loud about not finding him fun doesn't mean he needs to change
-
Going afk and watch some youtube.
Despite what some people say here going afk isn't bannable unless in excessive amounts. Especially if you played at the start
If you get frustrated so often that afking results in a ban then you shouldn't be playing it in the first place
-
Smash hit when it procs is the best distance gaining perk in the game.
Not only do you get 4 seconds of sprint burst (3.5 realisticly) but unlike other perks the killer is also stunned for the mayority of the time and on top of that has to break the pallet or walk around it.
Getting it to proc reliably is the catch though. If you can, then yes smash hit is amazing. Face nurse or any of the several ranged killers and you'll cry

Like I already said to someone else, if they are getting in your face, ignore them. They aren't doing gens, so if you go pressure someone else, you are technically pressuring and occupying multiple survivors. That unhooked survivor can either stay around you and bother you, which is just being useless to the team, or they can go do gens and their ds is disabled
and how are you going to ignore them if they stand in a doorway after the other survivor you were chasing walked through it?
good luck downing somebody if someone who you can't pick up is bodyblocking for them constantly
