This thread is so wholesome
It's a nice change of pace
-
Things like this is why is starts out low with 5 minutes
I'd rather have to wait 5 minutes every 100 matches or so then have every other match ruined because someone DC'd
It is a smal price to pay
-
Make yourself and the unhooked survivor imune to killers aura reading for a short time
That way you can heal them without fear of nurses
-
I do wonder how you would get perfect score as a survivor
That survival category never seems to get to the max
-
You are absolutly right and it does kinda suck the fun out of some perks
I do need to say
"Self Care requires you to be injured" this made me laugh on how technically it is indeed a requirement
-
Yeah not gonna lie, trusted members here are pretty great
Cheers to them!
-
What kind of person hacks into an account of someone and unlocks just 1 achievement?
Handyman out of all of them even.
-
Having a small chance to get a bloodweb with only perks would also be cool

Final Fantasy 8 Remaster on PS4 on the other screen, or Modern Warfare while I'm waiting in a killer queue.
So you game while waiting to game
That's hardcore

Alt tab, youtube
I hover my mouse over the dbd tab so i instantly see if i'm in a lobby
-
It's a shame really as perks like these could do wonders to give killers the pressure they need without increasing the amount of m1 holding for survivors
-
technically not as the survivors can just do the generators in the killers face.
Either the killer downs them and they bleed out in 4 minutes or they are able to finish the generators
-
Expose perks on killer with oneshot work well because they are unexpected and you often catch people offguard
-
Nurse is horribly overrated
This game is not actually that frustrating. People just play it too much
-
DC already can lead to a ban if done too often
The reason of DC is irrelevent
-
Myers with faster stalk addons: Stares more intently
Would be cool though. Coloured clown gas comes to mind
-
Sounds like stake out would fit your playstyle quite well. Seing how it seems you prefer being stealthy. And with that you'll be able to do the gens faster
It also helps with knowing when the killer is near as the times i played with i found i notice the perk filling up way faster then the terror radius. Especially with the newer ones as they tend to start out quiet
You should give it a try and see if you like it ^^
-
1) GG WP
2) compliment them on strong plays they made
3) give advice on things you noticed they did wrong
Toxicity spreads toxicity. Positivity spreads positivity
-
And here i am alt tabbing out the second i checked the ping and readied up
I ain't got time to look at the survivors names
-
@Dolls meant to quote you in my post. Didn't work and i can edit the comment
the first step of being independent is letting go, just try playing without those perks for a while
Inexperience =/= useless
It just means a lot of potential to grow
-
the first step of being independent is letting go
As for the OP spine chill is indeed easilly countered once you know they have it. Just side step to the gen
Still a bit feel bad for stalker killers
-
Quite simple actually, when people make tierlist they assume everyone at the best of their game. But that just doesn't happen in a real match
Most survivors can't deal with being injured all the time against a good killer who mindgames. But you see everywhere how if you don't heal against legion it's an easy win
So all these survivors that can't deal with being injured stay injured and Legions just snowball with one down after another
That's why tierlist, or how i like to call them theorylist, shouldnt be taken seriously. They only matter for the 1% that plays at peak performance
Another example is how everybody puts nurse on s+ but can you remember last time you died to a nurse. Stats wise she's probably the least powerfull killer
-
I feel like we should get a different word
Like hard slugging and soft slugging i don't know
What most killers do is slug one survivor for pressure, which means longer games which translates again to more bp and emblems
What you are describing is a actual hardcore slug build focused on getting everyone down before starting to hook
I really feel there should be different terms for that, it get's kinda confusing when people argue about slugging
-
Honestly i hope they never say how it works
If people know how it works they'll just try to abuse it to get easy matches anyway
See how many swf in the past all had that one rank 20 friend when the matchmaking search for the lowest ranking survivor

No, it's still in the game. All they did was remove the insta down aspect of it. If the person is healthy, they get Deep Wound, but if they're injured they will go down. I did it last night on Azarov's.
Are you sure? I could have sworn last time i tried it it didn't work. And in Otz latest video he tried it too and it failed.
Maybe we are doing something wrong?
-
At the start i would suggest focussing on the chasing and killee power and kind of forget about winning for now
Search "how to run tiles in dbd" and just try to end chases faster. Slowly but surelly wins will start coming more and more.
In general don't go into a match expecting to win. Go into a match expecting to improve your play.
Also try to play survivor too even if just a little. Seeing what other killers do can help you get better.
-
Yes
The projectile has a small hitbox after all
Good luck reeling them in for the hit afterwards though
Fun fact Ghost faces can stalk through the holes as well

As Legion? None. Blind me at a pallet. I dare you!
Not to burst your bubble but i think they patched out that little ryuga technique
-
In general way to much effort to implement these. The phrase more is less comes to mind
Second being a killer main does not mean anything in term of sense of balance so adding that after every killer nerf suggestion just makes people not take you seriously
Doctor and myers are fine. I would even say Myers is a tad on the weak side
-
I think it's more of a case that dbd and this movie are both inspirred by the old slasher movies
-
Nurse is in a weird place right now
In theory she's the strongest killer in the game. A nurse that hits every blink is a nurse that is impossible to escape from
In practise however you need to engage with an abusive relationship with her to reach that level and very few people will go through that effort
People who still call the nurse the best killer in the game are kinda delusional. If she was you would see her more.
In theory nurse is ss+
In practise she's B- at best
A god nurse is unbeatable
Anything less then a great nurse is a joke
Imo she needs QoL changes that make her easier to play. And after that we can look if she needs nerfs or buffs
-
I think the biggest reason of this is because when it came out obsesion shuffling wasen't really a thing
I could be mistaken but i think even DS didn't switch obsessions at that time
-
Yeah try to reach out to him again if you can. If you get a response back you could try befriending him and playing some swf with him. Losing together is way less stress inducing then losing alone after all
If he doesn't reply back, don't pressure him. I know i would be hesitant to reply back after sending an outburst like that
You also might want to suggest to take a break from this game. As someone dealing with depression myself i know i had to take my fair share of breaks. A nice singleplayer game you can play at your own pace works a lot better at stress relief then competing against other human beings after all
-
It should have a shorter duration but able to activate multiple times in a match
Something like when your hit you won't leave blood trails for 30/45/60 sec and the perk reactivates when you're healed to full
And if i have to be honest Iron Will should get the same treatment, it kinda flies under the radar with some of the other bonker survivor perks but permanently disabelling sound is a tad too strong
It would be nice that being injured would actually be a treat to experienced survivors
Just my 2cents though
-
I translated 10-20 days playtime to 240- 480 hours and now i have an existential crisis about how much time i have put into this game
Thanks for that
-
For deathslinger his UR expose addon even just a small reduction to 12 meter would make it so much better
For his detection ultra rare i would rather have survivors within 30m scream everytime you fire your gun, that way you atleast will know when someone is behind you seing how your camera gets fixed when reeling
I like the idea of having 2 shots although it does amuse me how much a headscratcher it would be if you look at how that harpoon gun actually works

The best suggestion of monstrous shrine that i ever saw was that survivors are under effect of a status condition while in the basement
Exposed or exhausted would probably be a bit too strong but something like oblivious and blinded or something
-
Billy is adviced to use his chainsaw out of chase for mobility. So he gets points for that.
Bubba doesn't, so he doesn't

Lot's of nostalgie here, i like it
And also lot's of bug reports. What if all the bugs in this game are there just to bring us to the forums and bring us closer together as a community

Congrats you've HIGHLY missed the point. And no this isn't quarantine boredom this is something I've wanted to do for a while and its not just that they lied. Its that they STRESSED to us the entire thing that only 20% would be purchase only when in reality its 30% and that 30% isn't a low number its literally 42 separate outfits which is over $400 worth of cosmetics more than needed. It kinda is a big deal when the entire center point of the store was "It would only be 20%" so that way we wouldn't be worried especially cause almost ALL characters are well over the 20% mark especially Meg who has the most cosmetics.
"When Chapter 8 releases, we are creating 4 different “tiers” of outfits (common, uncommon, rare, very rare). All the outfits are accessible with Auric Cells and about 80% of them are unlockable with Iridescent Shards. And you always get to buy exactly what you want."
Thank you for sharing the information @Fibijean
So from the direct quote we see they never said 80% will be free and 20% will be paid, they said about 80% and as Fijejean already mentioned, it was present tense so ir only aplies to when the store was released. They didn't as you so nicely put in all caps STRESS anything
Either you inderstood this and you just manipulating and twisting someone's words to make them look bad.
Or you didn't and the only person who lied here was your teacher when she said you passed second grade reading class.
Either way, congrats you've highly wasted your time
-
If i had to start over i think i would just give up
-
Killers just love you Doll...s
(☞ ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)☞

Sweet, i want to play deathslinger more
Going to give it a read
Thanks

Unrellenting always outperforms my expectations when i put it one
Although it's not really that hard as my expectations for it are quite low

I wonder how manny people will recognise the op in the lobby and switch to spirit for an easy win

To be honest if you get found downed hooked unhooked and downed again in 60 seconds then you probably weren't going to escape regardless of mori

Saying one thing and doing another is lying. It's just cosmetics: it's not that big of an issue - but that doesn't mean I have to like it.
And if something is subject to change they shouldn't say anything. It's a mistake they've made multiple times because they're an indie dev team and it does tend to get people really riled up.
Friendly piece of advise: that kind of black/white thinking has the potential to chase many people away from you.
If you make people afraid to talk to you because of how their statement might change in the future then you'll suddenly find yourself being left out of everything. Speaking from personal experience
Rationalizing is important. There is a big difference between outright lying and making a statement that is not 100% accurate 2 years into the future

Idk, a little bit of common sense is al it needs to realise that a statement that was made 2 years ago might not completly be relevent now
Just to reiterate, someone took the time to completly calculate the ratio of free/paid cosmetics to compare to, once a again, a statement made 2 years ago only to find out that *gasp* after all that time the numbers aren't 100% accurate with that statement anymore to then proceed to make a post over how they and i quote "hardcore lied to us"
This feels like it could be space coconut's newest video with how far reaching it goes to bash the devs for no real reason
I'm not sure what you are expecting them to do then? do they need to everytime a new cosmetic is revealed make a post about the new and updated ratio between free/paid? If they make a paid cosmetic do they have to wait to release it till they have 4 free ones to not scew up the ratio?
You would have a point if it was about something more serious or if the numbers were drasticly different but as it stands this feels like a case of quarantine boredom rather then an actual complaint
