  • I think i would like this purelly based on how more excitting it would be. Timer has to be adjusted obviously but still

I know current EGC isn't meant to pressure survivors. But maybe it should

I would prefer that then a "egc" at the early game tbh

Give the early game to the survivors and the late game to the killers

  • The thing about legion is dispite being on the weaker side ( i personally don't think it's that bad) they are very popular and they are quite the noobstomper

Overal Legion is probably doing pretty well as if you are up against newer survivors who can't chase well it's usually an easy win because of either being able to down everyone left and right or by getting massive momentum by all the healing being done.

So if you look at Legion who is picked often and is doing well on the grand scale of things and then look at other weaker killers who are doing worse and are picked less. The priority is obvious

We might get some small changes across the line but i wouldn't hold my breath for a rework/huge buff anytime soon

This Is Bullshit: Every time you are in a chase there is a 75% chance you slip on a banana peel and land in the dying state. Survivor perk.

What The ######### Is This: Every time you are in a chase there is a 75% chance you step on a rake and it swings up into your face and stuns you for 60 seconds. Killer perk.

Lol, it’s called The Third Seal because it blinds the survivors “third eye”

but i kinda like the idea. 9 hits on each survivor is a lot of work. Totem would be cleansed long before then.

That makes so much more sense then what i was thinking

I mean the numbers can change, just the concept that each hit get's worse then the last

Probably won't be possible cause i think consoles will have a heartattack once you add to many status effects

  • Adding a scalling effect would be nice

For example first hit aplies blindness

    Third hit mangled

    6th hit oblivious

    9th hit broken

In multiple or three's because the perk is called third seal

  • My ancestors shake their head in shame dispite the fact they don't even know what a video game is

  • I'm alt tabbed watching youtube

I won't notice the name of the survivors

  • I feel you severly underestimate hindered

Someone told me it aplies a 15% slowdown. That means that as a 115% killer you catch up twice as fast.

That for 60s would be bonkers.

I meant in DbD. We're on a DbD forum discussing DbD.

However, I heard about that and it was a handful of people complaining. Barely worth mentioning and not representative of any group. My gay boyfriend and I found the scene accurately portrayed what it's like to be LGBT in certain parts of the world.

Accuratly portrayed how people treat lbgt or accuratly portrayed being eaten by a evil clown?

  • I am extremly dissapointed you didn't all have haddonfield or ormont offerings. Also the medkits weren't all the same

And if you really wanted to impress your bp gathered should be the same as well

  • Getting undetactable and seeing the survivor spasm when they jumpscare

    A succesfull bloodwarden

  • What if the entity was real? But instead of feeding of survivors hope it feeds of other intense emotions. Frustration for example

What if the devs found this unspeakable mystic horror in a weak state. And in return for prosperety promised to nurture it back to health

Create a mind altering game that allows this creature to feed of our intense frustrations. It would explain why people play a game that is reletivly repetitive for 1000ths of hours. Why it's so addicting

And now after 4 years this monstrious being regained enough power to enter sensitive peoples dreams where it can start feeding on the more intense emotion of fear.

Now that it is no longer depended on the game. It is but a matter of time before it awakens from it's slumber and reclaims our world as it's own. Serving as mere snacks for this cosmic horror.

That or you had a latenight snack to many before going to bed

  • I find it to be quite good against flashlighters cause they stand still for ao long.

But under normal circumstances i find it will not make the difference of them making it to the next loop

  • True, but even less for killers i feel.

For survivors knowing what kind of person they are is fun

For killers I'd rather it focused how they became what they are now

Just my 2cents on it though

  • The only relation Huntress cares about is mother-daughter relationships

I'm not even sure if she knows what sex is. She's trying to get a daughter by stealing children. So i'll go asexual for her

I doubt that the killers will have their oriontation revealed though as with a killer that doesn't really matter

For their lore i only care how their descent into madness happened

  • "I don’t understand why people are getting so mad over this fact. It’s a fictional character. They wouldn’t love you before."

Way to crush a persons dreams like that

Spider-man aka Peter Parker the one from the classic comics, is a character that people from countless different races can relate to, men and women alike. Why do so many care for Peter Parker? Why do so many like this character and can relate to them? Simple. Due to going through struggles and challenges that are very relatable. Like being poor and down on your luck. Peter has had money issues countless times. Having to balance his personal life and his life as a super hero [or to put it another way, think of it as trying to balance your work life and personal life]. Dealing with lost of friends and family. Peter goes through struggles that are very common and relatable to many people, no matter who or what they are. Which allows people from all different backgrounds and walks of life to relate to him, due to his struggles being very common and relatable to many people. People don't relate to Peter, due to him being male, due to him being white or straight. No it's due to what he has gone through as a character, who he is as a person that people relate to. Which is why Peter is such a relatable character to many different folks. He is not some hollow empty shell, people can only relate to due to looking the same or wish fulfillment. Which is why i think, the best way to get people to rally behind a character or relate to them, is to well treat them like any other character and employ some good writing.

Agreed. But he is a superhero characters that has movies, comics all sort of stuff. And first appeared in the 60's (i think) and has been evolving since. Superhero's are bassicly our version of gods so i don't think anyone was expecting a survivor having a lore or personallity as deep as Peter Parker.

To me orientation is like what the colour of your eyes is. From my experience it makes no difference on personality. I agree that if they make a new surviver and the only core attribute that they have is being a LBGT would be just as dissapointing as having a character who's only core attribute is that the colour of their eyes is green. That said i know i have picked video game characters over others on the notion that they had the same colour of eyes as me. It can be that little bit of extra connection that makes you like characters.

In short as long as they do it right i see absolutly no negatives. Being an LBGT won't stop me from playing a character who i like. And it might be that little extra connectivity that draws someone else to the character

  • I personally don't care about characters or people's sexual orientation

But if it makes people able to connect with a character better and able to enjoy the game better i don't see a problem with it

All the more power too them

  • You went down, killer standing treatingly above you. Expecting to be moried at any second

And then the killer does a goofy little dance and the entity escorts you back to the campfire

  • I generally never use mories unless i have a dailly

But after seeing your comparrison to throwhing a grenade into the match i might try them more. Sounds like fun

  • Getting absolutly demolished by the killer only to find out he had no build

  • Mixed feelings tbh

Sometimes it allows for amazing plays, other times it doesn't do anything at all

I 100% think people should be free to DC whenever they want for whatever reason.

Well then you should stick to single player games. Where you can't ruin others playing experience

Playing with other people online has some rules. Rules that you signed when you purchased the game btw

its a casual L4D style party game, so i odnt care if people DC

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1344895#Comment_1344895

there are countless videos showing people getting stuck in-game indefinitely, unable to heal, being held hostage etc where the only option is to DC, saying "well the timer starts low" is laughable

There were about 39,600 players playing on steam a couple of minutes back

That's 7,920 matches give or take. At one point in time not including the consoles. You may say "countless" videos. But even if you showed me 100 of them it would still be a laughable number

  • If we are looking on a personal level i think even Susie would kick my behind

  • Yeah, i think people who do that are venting their frustration about a previous match

Very few people seem to have the mindset of when a game is frustrating them to stop playing that game for a while

  • I love Dark Devotion

I see the flaws in it but jumpscaring survivors is just too much fun

I don't think that's how percentages work, but ok

Edit: Figured I'd add to my comment instead of just saying 'nope', each attempt has a 13% success rate, so for each time you try, you have that percent of a chance to unhook yourself. It does not stack up each time, it just doesn't. Sorry

I'm not calculating the individual attemps i'm calculating the chance of all of it together

I'm just terrible at explaining stuff

    @Zraith said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1344901#Comment_1344901

but that is what he said, the probability of failure is 87% per attempt, the chance of all of 6 of them failing is 0.87^6 ~= 0.43. So the probability of at least one of them succeeding is 1-0.87^6 = 0.57.

This person gets it and actually explains it properly too

No, it’s simply 6 opportunities with a 13% chance of unhooking. That doesn’t mean it’s additive across all attempts.

No this is actually how it works. With 6 attempts your total change to escape from the hook is 56.6%

I can understand the confusion though math is hard. Took me forever untill i understood these calculations

simping for a system that clearly is too buggy to be justified

also DCers just suicide now lmao

Better then being a drama queen who feels the need to cry on a forum cause they had to wait 5 minutes

Ever since the system was implented the number of rage quiters, hook suicides included drasticly decreased for me

And that easilly frustrated people stop playing the game is only an added bonus. Those are the ones who end up toxic anyway

880 hours so far and i've never had a gamebreaking bug. Plenty of bugs but never so severe that i had to quit the game over it. I know i'm probably very lucky. But people are grossly overstating how much this game bugs out

  • Up to ante 9% luck + 4% base = 13%

    6 attemps

    So 13% on first try, ~24.3% second try, ~34.1% third try, ~42.6% 4th try, ~50% 5th and ~56.5% on the 6th

Not going to do the rest but seems accurate to me, very gimmicky build but looks fun if you can convince your entire team to do it. Not having to bother resqueing the first hook on the entire team for 2 perk slots per survivor and the offerings is not too shabby tbh

  • This is why the penallty only starts at 5 minutes

Better to once have to wait 5 minutes for a bug that occurs once every 100 or so of games instead of everygame being ruined by DCers

    Yup, like I said KYF.

You have no idea how many people would be playing KYF.

It's the MOST REQUESTED GAME MODE for a reason, they've said it themselves. People would be FLOODING to KYF and that's the reason why don't implement it. It'll split the player base.

Being the most requested doesn't change that it completely wouldn't work in a satisfying way with the current system.

I also want to add i didn't mean to insult you in my first post, I was trying to point out that these things are not as easy as they seem but after reading it again it did come out a lot harsher then intended.

    My apologies for that.

lol did you read what I posted? It's adding a cosmetic on top of cosmetic. Why press the QUOTE button when I've already addressed how to add the Blood situation to every cosmetic. You'll be overlapping 2 cosmetics to make it look like every cosmetic has a P3.

And no, 2v10 isn't hard and neither is 2v8 since there are already videos on 2v3 and 3v1, or have you been under a rock the past year. It's already been done on KYF, and it's been done fine. Want me to post a vid? And who the hell balances around KYF? KYF doesn't affect rank or bloodpoints because it's more of a testing ground it wouldn't affect Live play.

I'm assuming you've living under a rock, so here's a 4 Killers vs 1 survivor and it looks perfectly fine.

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CeASjhRovF8

No offense, but it sounds like YOU don't know you're even awake at the moment.

... I said it's not just adding a add blood button, they have to make an other cosmetic for that to work. unless you're fine with bloodsplatters floating or clipping through things in half the cosmetics

Also i love the video you posted. Survivors dying instantly to pig trap. perfectly fine indeed. People getting insta-downed cause killers timed their swings. Such flawless and compelling gameplay if that was implented. Definitivly worth the time and effort to make that available for the very few that would play KYF.

My point stands that adding these things and actually make it polished atleast a little would take time and money that wouldn't be worth it. Not to mention that 2 v anything would be a horrible game mode. they would just gang up on a single survivor one by one and then you have a impossible to escape from tunnel simulation for one half of the survivors and a gen repairing simulation for the other half

You can tell you were really tired earlier, you seem to get really cranky if you don't get your sleep.

  • @BigBrainMegMain said:

Coding and Programming is a Career Path.

    I don't understand why...like....

    1. You can't add blood to clothes why? It's just pasting the same paint splatter on your current cosmetics. You're just pasting it on the current ones, literally just wearing a cosmetic on top of a cosmetic.
    2. 2 vs 8 game mode? 2 vs 10 game mode on KYF? Why? This isn't hard...like, what?
    3. Adding more gens on KYF, adjusting the gens or the totems, or how many survivors or killer on KYF, what?
    4. Why can't you start a KYF alone? Killer or survivor, I don't understand.

So many more to think about but I'm really tired.

They have said that it's not just clicking the add blood button. It's an entire sepperate cosmetic they make

2v8 or 10 isn't hard? 1v4 has already been an uphill battle to balance. Not to mention all the different killer powers how they would work together and avoiding bugs and stuff. You don't want the game to crash if billy runs into another killer with his chainsaw cause the game doesn't know what to do in that situation. What to do with 2 overlapping terror radiusses. Etc. Etc.

All the KYF stuff is also unnececarry. Let's be generous here and say it take a day to implent (being very generous here). Would you as boss really let your programmar work for an entire day for something bassicly meaningless while he could be spending that time working on the actual game. That's not how bussiness works. Why take the time to implent something like 2v10 on kyf wich is something only friend groups of 12 can play if you can work to make the game better for the individual

No offence but it really shows you don't actually know what your talking about

It's a bit like saying Medicine is a career path, why are people still getting sick so often? Just let a doktor write something incomprehensible and have them swallow some pills. It's not that hard

  • The new MMR rank system will be complaint about. No matter how perfect it might actually work.

A lot of less experienced players are unknowing /refuse to acknowledge that they are less experienced players.

So they will end up complaining about their equally less experienced teammates without realising they are right where they should be

I remember once this stuff went on for 20+ minutes. It's like just close hatch and start EGC, dude. I even went and gave my chickens some fresh food and water..ready to join a new match when I got back...I was still being carried. It was unbelievably funny!! Guy was so thirsty to deny me. I wasn't mad..it was so silly!

Huh? How did it go for 20 minutes? After dropping you three times you instantly break free.

  • Jumpscaring survivors never gets old

  • I missed the exam, this is college all over again!!!

  • Those are bold words for a mortal within smiting distance

  • It depents really, if you are in a good strong spot you can kinda force the Legion on you giving your teammates breathing room.

Also i feel not everybody knows how Legion works. The amount of time i saw someone dead harding while already under the effects of deep wound, or people hiding in lockers without head on

  • Legion doesn't need a rework. They are actually in a pretty good spot now. A few tweaks here and there is all they need.

Sometimes i feel people are really underestimating how much time and effort goes into a rework

  • You can say what you want about DS but it did teach me the power and pressure of slugging

Tbh the only times DS ticks me off is if i get hit by it when the timer is almost done. Just shaving 15 sec of that timer would do wonders
