I agree with you to a degree.
The stress that comes from facing an opponent of same skill level In a even playing field is really good. Though I don't think is always the case here.
I've played all souls game (put almost 200 hours on the first one), and I've never felt so street as I do in DbD. Mostly due to the fact that in a souls game, everytime I died, it was mostly because I had mae a mistake, while in DbD, facing OoO in a giant ######### map full of safe pallets, you can't help but to fell you're facing terrible designer choices, instead of really skillfully player
Freddy spaghetti nails, Huntress watermelon hatchets. Getting a ghost skillchecks as soon as you stop an action, really, after 4 years?
Just things I wish they would sit down, take the time and iron it out.
Yeah i can agree with that. Stress induced by things out of your control is bad

It could use a nerf, maybe we can make the deep wound effect harsher

But that's my point.
It shouldn't be THIS stressful, in which you have to manage you stress in order to play. It's a video game fro cry out loud.
I know the forums represent a small percentage of the player base, but these are the people who care enough about the game to be part of the discussion. These are the players who watch the streams, follow the patch notes, etc.
If we are here discussing something about the game, despite difference in opinion or not, we care about the game.
Why shouldn't it be stressfull? Most people like getting challenged and you can't be challenged without tension. And tension leads to stress.
The dark souls games were stressfull and they are conciddert amazing to most people. Fighting games can get amazingly stressfull yet you can't deny people love them. And i'm fairly certain more people had breakdowns on fighting or souls games then dbd will ever have
Hell the reason dbd is so popular is because it's so full of tension. People wouldn't invest 1000-3000 hours in a game if it didn't have that. They'd get bored.
In short tension is a good thing. And you can't have tension without stress
-
Important to keep in perspective that the forums are a very very very small amount of the playerbase.
I think if you put all these "meltdown" post together i believe you still wouldn't reach like 0,1% of the playerbase
That and most of the time they start playing again a bit later. Mostly they are vent post letting out frustration of a series of unfortunate matches
It is a stressfull game. I won't deny that but as long as you don't start a game while already under stress it's managable
-
While i like this suggestion (i love bloodwarden) the numbers need to be waaay higher.
As it stand after hitting them by the time you as a killer reach the exit gates and down the survivor and finishes the bladewhipe animation the 7 seconds have already passed and they can crawl out before you can pick them up
Also Noed doesn't reward failure. The killer objective isn't to guard the generators it's to sacrifice survivors. And wether you plan to do that mid game or at the very end of the game doesn't change that
-
The quotes during the loading screen alone make this the best event in the history of gaming
-
People 99% almost purelly for evading the EGC. People say it's for bloodwarden but i'm sure over half of the survivors don't even know that perk excist.
It just conviently happens to be that survivors have a tactic that counters all the killers options.
And they still mess it up. What's suppose to happen is that they 99% the gate AND have one survivor stay there to open it when the others arrive

This is a really cool idea, and often something I think a lot of people forget about the game - the trial belongs to the entity, not the Killer. And pleasing the entity (as Killer) is the ultimate goal. It does stand to reason that effectively killing more people vs. focusing on killing one person is more pleasing to the entity - so this seems like a cool way to create something that might entice better game play. :) Good idea.
It's a cool idea and we did see the entity taking survivors side with that new perk
Forget about stunning killers who camp though. That will be exploited beyond belief
-
Spider/bug lady hybrid next pls
-
There's one in every bloodweb. It's not that big of deal
-
If you can live without tracking. Agitation might give you a couple of cheeky protection hits while carrying someone to a hook
You'll probably end up putting all your eggs in the "get a protection hit" basket but hey it's a build for fun right?
-
Legion is a lot better then people think he is. Probably close to the middle of power between all killers
S tier god nurses don't exist anymore. She's not as strong as people think she is. More like low A to high B
Thanos was right and the universum would be better off if we went with his plan
-
Give survivors more bp for the save if it was closer to the next phase. If survivors learn to unhook as late as possible then the killers might think twice of just sitting there doing nothing. Reward survivors more for doing the right play
The reason camping works is because killers know survivors are greedy for the points and will all come running to the hook faster then the killer does carrying the survivor
-
I mean a 5th perk slot would just mean they pick the next perk on the meta list.
You'd still see the same perks over and over again. Just more in a single match
Just making the other perks a little stronger is all it needs tbh. The problem isn't really that meta perks are too strong
The problem is that the contrast between good perks and mediocre perks is huge
-
Being weird is a good thing. Normal is boring
-
I love how they are meant to be halo's but from a direct point of view they look like devil horns
-
I want this outfit for Dwight pls
Or David. Do both yeah both is good

Not all of us want to get a 1.5k dollar pc just for more optimisation and a few more pixels on our screens.
Well yeah we can't all be master race
What would be the point if you can't brag about it to inferior races?
-
Deadscaped
-
That sounds like a huge waste of time.
On the priority list between making new chapters, fixing bugs, changing up unused perk, etc... this is non existent
-
Well obviously it exist. Genrushing if prioritising gens above all else.
The question you want to ask is if it's a problem or not
-
If the humming bothers you that much then mute the game. You don't need audio queues in a farming match
-
There's a reason no-one is talking about it. Almost nobody cares
-

Honestly I think it shouldn't even be possible to search for a match unless the connection meets a certain minimum requirement. Even if you think your connection "has a good day" you can be laggy as hell from a survivor's point of view when you play killer as hits are still killer-sided so everything looks A LOT different on your screen than on the survivor's end. That's most likely the reason why players disconnect against you.
The thing is during matchmaking their connection might be fine but in match starts to spike at random intervals
To the op. I have the same problem after having internet problems. And out of respect for other players I've quit this game untill i can get more stable connection

You don't know who's who according to "Players Met" generally. I've never used it before in any game, personally. I think people are saying the other option "who you're playing with" or whatever it's called was removed a long time ago.

Still haven't gotten addresses. Btw, I have paper.
Lol, i think the person meant to write down the name of the person you wanted to contact not write them a postmail
Not going to lie. It would be pretty funny to recieve thrash talk through letter
-
One of the million of "techs" survivors have that can completly outplay an unexperienced killer and utterly falls flat against those who know about it.
As a killer watching survivor tutorials is almost more important then watching killer tutorials

There's set areas where the hatch can spawn. If it was completely random there might be some issues where it's not accessible or something
Too bad, a hatch spawning on the ceiling sounds hilarious to me
-
We should have one week each year where every single perk is basekit
-
Maybe for april fools
-
Map offerings are a thing
-
They play happy as they are completly oblivious to the sound bugs
On a serious note i think these killers would use perks like deerstalker and bloodhound more to give them more visual queues
-
There are 1000th of matches being played at every moment
Even if you did this 24/7 you would 't even change the procentile of number of hook suicides
You are but one human and like the rest of us cursed with insignificance

I want a dog survivor danged

Does Doom count as horror? I want DoomGuy in either Smash or DBD!!!!!!!
Doomguy as killer and cacodemon as survivor
-
Works pretty good with ToT
Other then that a slug build i guess
-
Superman is a boring superhero
-
Lol the smash bros of horror
Now i want to see an animation of that
-
But then blindness wouldn't work with it anymore
Stop nerfing blindness
-
This is more something you show to killers that following a survivor in a straight line is a bad idea

I do find it funny how many people rate nurse as god tier despite never actually playing her themselves. Has anyone actually seen a good nurse in their last 400 hours of play? Unlikely.
People who place her at s tier all suffer from pre nerf nurse ptsd
They always see the perfect form of nurse that never misses a blink, reads all mindgames and always knows where you are.
Tierlist are meant for high level of play okay, but not if that level of play can't be reached.
A deathslinger that never misses his shots, knows all the trickshots to counter loops will also end chases insanly fast and is faster and has a lower terror radius. So why isn't he S tier then?
-
Do you happen to play on wifi? This game reaaallly doesn't like unstable connections.
For the slightest bumb it can throw you out it seems
-
Bottom tier is overexagerrated but i agree that nurse is severly overrated
Even at her best she's not the best killer in the game, a perfect spirit beats a perfect nurse at nearly every aspect
She's more realisticly low A to high B
-
I like the new map tbh. It's different. I'm sure it won't be that bad once people actually took the time to learn it.
Also i want more scary ambiance effects in the older maps. The jumpscare locker dude is amazing
-
Recently played with? That should still work right?
-
I would love for Chucky to be in the game. And it is perfectly do able with a smidge of creativity. I think it's just a matter of getting the licencense and hiw high of a priority he is for the devs

True, you can moonwalk or even crabwalk to try to get the drop on people if you think they're running it. But this only proves my point that the perk is way too strong.
If the killer is forced to adapt their movement just to counter a single perk, (at the cost of potentially missing survivors they don't see), then the perk should be nerfed or at the very least changed.
What no? That's what good perks are suppose to do. Give you an interresting benifit that forces the opposing side to change their playstyle to work around it.
Noticing someone has spine chill and being able to catch them ofguard by crabwalking makes you feel like a 378IQ player
There should be more perks like spinechill that give the player a benifit but can be outplayed if the opposing player catches on to it.
If you could play the exact same way regardless of perks then the game becomes a snooze fest really quickly
-
I honestly wish that bloody party streamers became ultra rare so i could use them more
-
Every bloodweb guarantees atleast one ultra rare
Most killers only have 2 ultra rare addons so you see a mori about every third bloodweb
Billy has no ultra rare addons so he gets a mori every bloodweb
As long as you don't end matches too quickly it is very possible to always have a mori with billy

idk if they will ever release a dbd 2 , but if that was true i would get it . how do you feel about another dbd game?
I feel right now it would be a waste cause there are quite a few more things they can explore in this game i think.
For a game that's let's be honest pretty repetitive they do a good job at keeping it fresh
-
Had a brainfart and first read the titel as
I just started playing dbd 2 , weeks ago
Was already wondering how in the world i missed a sequel releasing
