Curse of the death gods, hellblade: sinua's sacrifice and evil genius while i impatiently wait for the sequel
-
If anything this proves that the first gens don't matter. Stop caring about the first 3 gens and you'll see your games will go a loy better
-
I guess a correct definition would be people who try to win regardless of the experience of the other team.
Mostly used by sore losers like 95% of the insults in this game

You do. When you enter a chase there's a pretty massive sound que and once you see them once you can remember who they are. Like if I ge tinto a chase with a Dwight and I hear the que and see it wiggling I just won't chase Dwight till I got like 7 stacks of STBFL, or about 2.
What, you want a large flashing sign going "I'M YOU'RE OBSESSION!! COME HERE AND MAKE OUT WITH ME DADDY TRAPPER" with neon arrows pointing to their exact location able to be seen across the map at all times or something?
I feel really dumb now for never noticibg the sound queue

Ow how the turntables
-
A Billy nerf was warranted true
This one is a tad too much though
-
Also 1 BP if you hit the killer
-
Not going to lie, I didn't think it would be this bad
The cooldown okay, but that coupled with his addons being crushed into the ground makes it that much worse
Yeah I got to admit, I have to swallow my words now
Boy was i wrong
-
Just saw a video of Bubba going chainsaw mode for a full minute and then some.
He'll get tuned down, i'm sure of it
-
Yeah, i was one of the persons that said it wouldn't be that bad and to just wait for the ptb
Boy was i wrong. The addons are so bad
-
Bubba and Billy bassicly switched chainsaws

The thing is I never claimed DBD has a great lore or deep backstory. It has enough to explain certain killer’s powers, which is acceptable to me. I don’t like DBD for the lore, I like it for the gameplay.
You’re right, FNAF has “lore” but it’s poorly put together since it depends massively on fan theories without in-game textual descriptions or cutscenes to help piece it together.
Can't argue with you there. It does feel that Fnaf let their fans write the lore and just went with it

It got popular because of people flocking to Lets Play channels of adults exaggerating the jumpscares in order to seem “funny” and attract viewers.
From what I’ve seen, there is no established/consistent lore. A purple 8-bit man walking around? What a great way to explain a backstory.
I mean you could say the same about DbD. Streamer publicity happens with every game these days.
I'm not an avid fnaf player myself and i would much rather see killers like chucky or jason in the game, you know the actual slasher horror classics.
But what i've heard from other people there is an entire story of a child murderer in there with Scott hiding clue's in the source code of teaser pictures of upcoming games and whatsnot.
I'm sure someone else here that actually played it could explain it better then me but from my understanding there was an entire easteregg hunt to uncover the story behind it.
You don't have to like the games but saying it has no lore is like saying dark souls had no challenge. It's just plain wrong.
No amount of streamer publicity would make what's bassicly the same jumpscare simulator over and over again this popular if there wasen't something more to it
-
@Rey_512 said:
People still claim FNAF has “lore”? 😂
I also have no idea who Baldi is but he has my vote over Springtrap.
Lore is like the only thing that Fnaf has...
It's the whole treasure hunt and lore discussions that made it popular in the first place.
How did you think it got popular? It's stellar gameplay?

well as 1 of the few best players left in this game i disagree with you, but lets see. is not just me who call this a nerf, every good player do. i guess babies cant handle old billy.
Can we be honest here, they could have increased Billy's character model by 5% and people would have been crying nerf

I don't think you understand this, but cruvesawing with billy often requires more than 10 sec of revving. Yes, it will not change anything in the low-mid tier billy gameplay, but this update makes already in my opinion the hardest, most skillful technique even harder, which is just absurd.
I'm not a billy main so i can indeed not vouch for what playing him at high level is like
But i highly doubt good billy's have to consistently rev up for more then 10 seconds to pull this manouvre of.
I could be wrong ofcourse. Would it be possible to show me a video of someone performing this in an actual match multiple times?

Getting Springtrap into the game makes too much sense from a business standpoint, if I were Cote I'd definately do it. (The ESRB could kiss my ass lol)
It doesn't make sense from a business standpoint for Scott though. He is a single man company, which means he would have to do all of the legal work and having to pay the lawyer all for something that he won't see revenue from for atleast another 6-9 months
He's better of spending his time and money on his own franchise tbh. Could still happen ofcourse but if i was Scott i probably wouldn't do it untill fnaf popularity had died down a bit to relight it again
-
Why would you charge the chainsaw to almost full to stop, let it decay all the way and then charge it back up again anyway? Don't cancel your chainsaw when it's almost maxed then. Just sprint for a miliseconds.
Also while it's a bit hard to see, i don't think the chainsaw is even overheating if you stop charging. You can tell from how the overheatbar doesn't smoothly go up in the video but rather stops everytime they stop reving
You all seem to just imagining things to make the nerf seem worse then it is. From what it looks like the overheat bar will rather be 10% if you cancel at the last moment rather then 50%
This is why we wait for ptb so we can have actual date instead of all these worst case scenario fantasies
-
You litterally signed a contract that said you are okay with changes made in the game.
Also try the changes before you start whining. There are a ton of addons that aren't revealed yet. He could very well end up being stronger in good players hands
-
Licenced: god i want Chucky to be in this game. Love that little rascal
Unlicenced. Some kind of hybrid human spider creature would be amazing for me. Or a pyromaniac with a makeshift flamethrower

Every time survivors want to work on a gen they have to solve a math puzzle.
Baldi get's faster each time they get it wrong.
Turns out to be op cause most survivor mains have the IQ of a potato

I dont care this isn't school its so funny how there is always the one shallow person who has to nitpick dude just shut up seriously no one else felt the need to comment so you dont need to either
The reason they are "nitpicking" is because each of your post is a headache inducing unreadable mess.
Trust me pressing the enter key a couple of times will let you be taken a lot more seriously.
As for the topic at hand, Items are not a rarity at all. You can gain a new one every match and every bloodpool there are items as well. If you fear about losing them that much then just leave them at the campfire
As a comparison Killers lose their hard worked for addons every match. No matter how well they do. How is that fair in your eyes?
-
They did a Bubba rework, added a mechanic to stop Bubba from reving in the face of a hooked survivor
noticed Billy has the same issue that he can rev in a hooked survivors face, added a simular mechanic that wouldn't hamper his original playstyle to much, that's all the reason there is
It's up for the ptb now to decide if this mechanic really doesn't detter his normal gameplay

From the video it takes around 7 seconds to overheat. WITH ADDONS. And in reality you will start a curve attempt with 0% overheat + you will not curve down a survivor 1st try. But with this change you have to be at 0% overheat when you attempt a curve + need addons + need to hit it first try everytime. Does it not sound ridiculous?
In the video the bar is already halfway full when it starts. You might have missed that
Also even strong addons usually ad only a couple of seconds so even if it's with addons it won't make that huge of a change.
Sounds a lot less rediculous if you have twice the time you originally thought right?

That's totally wrong. The main concern is his curving ability at loops, not his mobility. My threats pointed that out but it seems you fail to understand or look for them.
I'm not a Billy main, but does this curving at loops really need 12+ seconds of reving?
-
@Mookywolf said:
Im not necessarily upset with the changes, i want to see how it actually performs.
What i do find odd though is the devs saying theyre "pretty happy" with where his base kit is, but decided to change it amyway.
My best bet is that they added a anti facecamp mechanic to bubba and they added something simular to Billy while being as minimal a change posible for the rest of his base kit
We will see in a couple of hours how it really is like i guess

@LordGlint said:
You cant really tell much by the video since they failed to show the most important part when adding a cooldown...which is the cooldown itself. Depending on how fast the bar drops when the saw isnt in use will determine how much this'll effect things.
After the chainsaw overheated the clip lasted for ~3 more seconds and it was about a quarter down so 12-15 seconds i would say.
It does seem to be a significant cooldown if you overheat it
Edit: just realised you meant the cooldown if you don't overheat it. They indeed don't show that in the video
-
Wait they are planning to ad an anime killer? Since when?
-
They reworked Bubba and added a anti facecamp penalty to his power. And they just did the same with Billy. Only the ptb will determine how it plays like but honestly from what it looks like people are crying over nothing.
It seems to take longer then 10 seconds of reving before the chainsaw overheats. If you have to rev that long to mindgame a survivor your not doing a good job at it
Depending on how the addons will have changed, Billy may very well be getting a buff
-
People are so overexaggerating this.
9/10 the nerf will mean absolutly nothing for good Billy players except for the fact that you can't rev the chainsaw forever in front of a hooked person.
No way to know untill the ptb, but for a nerf that everyone knew was coming so far it seems really minimal
-
Aaaw what a adorable little thing
No word about mori's and keys but Franklin's is getting a nice buff that should make keys easier to deal with atleast
Franklin’s Demise
Your vicious attacks make the Survivors drop their item on impact.
The lost item will be consumed by the Entity after 120/100/90 seconds if it is not picked up before the timer runs out.
Reveal the aura of items on the ground within 32/32/32 meters in a white aura. The aura of items fade to red until they are consumed by the Entity.
-
Just always assume they have it, same with noed.
Being able to tell which perks the opposing team is using and adjusting your playstyle for it is one of the skillfull interactions you have in this game.
Without those it would be a dull game
-
The fun part of multiplayer games is that you get to play with other people.
The downside of multiplayer is that you have to play with other people.
Humans just love being jerks when anonymousity protects them

Did you really compare FNAF to iconic slashers? L m f a o.
FNAF is something that will (likely) disappear years down the road. Something that’s popular for a while & then fades into the background. Halloween, Friday the 13th, A Nightmare on Elm Street; they’re always talked about, whether you realize it or not. I’m not trying to diss your beloved game, but I think you’re exaggerating.
Completly missed the point what i was saying like everyone here apperently
I'm not saying Fnaf is bigger then any of the iconic horror characters. Ofcourse it's not and it doesn't have any hope to be
All i'm saying is that because fnaf is still making revenue, them partnering up for publicity is less likely. at the time the myers update happened it was 6 years since these horror icon franchises had a movie which was a not well recieved reboot of nightmare on elmstreet. At that point in time the iconic horror movies, while iconic and beloved weren't making anything new which means that if then someone came for a partnership for publicity and revenue is a great deal.
Fnaf at this moment in time with all it's books and games is making more revenue then those icons where in that moment in time. Not because Fnaf is better, not because the horror icons are bad. Just because Fnaf is popular at the moment. That it will be completly forgotten in a year is completly irrelevent to what i'm saying. This is not me defending Fnaf, i don't care at all about Fnaf. Just pointing out that these licences issues aren't always as simple as they seem
How everyone twisted that into me saying that Fnaf is bigger then the iconic horror characters is beyond me tbh
-
And for all you know there could be lower rarity addons now that make the curving possible in half the time it takes now.
Not only are you basing this on one video you saw and some text without playing anything. You are also basing this without knowing the full extend of the changes

DbD got the licenses for Stranger Things a huge TV show and a Netflix original. Its not at all impossible that we will see fnaf in DbD.
I'm not saying it's impossible, just saying that it's mostly in Scot's hand and a petition to the devs won't change that
These kind of licence transactions have a entire legal process of contracts to be signed with lawyers who don't work for free. And Scot being a single person working on those games might not want to invest the time and effort and money for something that he will probably only get revenue out of in more then half a year seeing how the devs said making a killer takes 5 months. He would be better investing his money in his own games and books.
Ofcourse for all i know Scott could be a massive dbd fan and go through the process just to see his creation in the game. Just saying that from a bussiness standpoint I'm not seeing it
-
There are also a lot of loops where huntresses will cry cause her hatches explode if they fly an inch too close to debree while deathslinger just get's free hits if you attemps those loops
If you only look at optimal situations for huntress then it isn't hard to make her seem better

Myers being forgotten has to be one of the most ridiculous statements I've ever heard. 😂
How many movies do you think the Haloween franchise sold in 2016 before he got released on dbd? Spoiler not a lot
Forgotten might have been a poor choice of words but he definitivly wasen't on anyone's mind at the time. Hell dbd could very well be the sole reason movies about him are being made again
-
Idk, Plague excisting didn't stop people from bringing medkits.
Hell i would probably equip a flashlight just to bait the killer into using a perk that doesn't really do much

Halloween defenitly isn't desperate, do you know how old it Is? I think that apsolutely everybody know who Myers Is, he Is much bigger than Fnaf. Not everyone knows Fnaf. If you were to ask anoyone on the street between those two everyone will say Myers, only gamers will know what Fnaf Is, and most of them will say its bad and childish (from my experience). I have nothing against Fnaf, but Fnaf defenitly can't compare with legends from the movies.
The last movie before he was introduced in dbd was in 2009. That it was old is the entire point. It doesn't matter that he is tons bigger and popular then fnaf. At the time Myers was not making revenue. He was not making money. Ofcourse the licence owners instantly jumped to an agreement to make money of their old and forgotten product
Fnaf doesn't have that problem right now so it's a lot less likely to happen.

Just because he's licensed doesn't mean he's expensive, I mean yeah the franchise keeps making games and books but they aren't so popular as to give his license more value than any of the past licensed killers, I mean we are talking about horror icons... well except for demo..., also the movie is mostly rumor, yes it was confirmed at some point that there was a movie in the works but since then there hasn't been much talk about it in fact it was rumored a few times that it was cancelled because of the very fact that there hasn't been any information on it. The games are all indie games, except for help wanted since that was a massive project in comparison to the rest, the books are just strories to keep people interested in the franchise and it's creepy lore. Honestly it's not something that would be out of reach for bhvr if they got 2 of what are easily the top 3 horror icons, and they definitely didn't need the publicity.
I don't think it's fair either to compare a possible 10-15 dollar dlc that would bring in something diferent to the game gameplaywise to a 15 dollar skin that brings nothing but a cosmetic change, I mean we are talking about 15 dollars... it's obvious that most people wouldn't pay that for something as simple as a skin when they could use the same amount for a dlc killer, this isnt like smite where people literally waste hundreds of dollars for a tier 5 skin just because they got many other goodies just to have access to one skin. I'm all for springstrap joining the dbd lineup (as long as he's actually worth it) but I don't think he'd be worth nearly as much as the rest of the licensed killers... except for demo I guess.
The difference between Fnaf and the other horror movie icons is that Fnaf is still making revenue, while the horror icons weren't at the time. When Myers was released there were no movies being made with him anymore. He was tbh forgotten and then the publicity of bringing him to a popular game is a good thing. And it may be coincidence but 2 years later we had another Haloween movie.
Fnaf isn't that desperate. Almost everybody knows Fnaf so they don't need the publicity that putting him in the game would get. I wouldn't mind Springtrap into DbD but that isn't up to the devs alone. So even if you convince them it still is possible that it won't happen
-
Did people watch a different video then me or something. He did quite a long sprint and that cooldown didn't even reach halfway.
Do Billy mains do 2 laps around the map before they chainsaw survivors or something?
We all know the Billy nerf were coming and i for one am glad that it's as minimal as this and we get better addons. He might very well be buffed all things conciddert

Well it seems a bit of stretch to torture robots but you have to remember that the robots are inhabited but vengeful spirits of the children that William Afton killed in the story, so technically these robots are very conscious but the best option they have is springtrap as he fits the whole vibe of dbd much better than all of the other brighter colored animatronics like the fun time ones, springtrap has William Aftons body inside and his spirit controls springtrap and the general look of springtrap actually works, but then again it would be weird to see that a game has gone from crazy hatchet ladies and cannibals with chainsaws to a possessed animatronic bunny, the only thing that stops this chapter from working is the survivor cause like, WHO TF COULD THEY CHOOSE all they could do is guess what the night guard looks like.
Springtrap would be the best bet yeah. There have been killer only chapters so that won't really stop it
-
I'm not sure if you are making fun of the devs for adding charges to everything, making fun of billy mains that are way to much overreacting on a nerf that will barelly matter or both
-
-
The new Franklins also seems to be pretty good, seems like a really good counter to keys now
-
It depents, if the survivors flashlight doesn't narrow they will quickly catch on and never attempt it again
-
Dc penalties are gone?
