I wouldn't even bother trying to play resistance, that game quickly turned into either mastermind bully simulator or get defeated 1 minute into the match depending on how experienced the mastermind was. The team that worked on resistance clearly didn't balance around statistics, nerfing practically all useful survivor skills into the ground (despite all masterminds having a win rate of over 50% ever since the game launched) and refusing to touch any problematic mastermind abilities. Because of this, survivor players will take any opportunity to win, even if it means that the mastermind's match is miserable, because the devs never bothered nerfing OP mastermind builds.

you got it backwards, mastermind started out with a clear edge, but some weeks in survivors had it figured out and began adding each other to play better while masterminds began getting nerfs. typical patches consisted of either survivor buffs or mastermind nerfs, until the big one with a slew of mastermind nerfs and a truckload of survivor buffs in one patch many of those buffs being things masterminds complained about survivors using cheat engine to get on pc like unlimited ammo. after that it went downhill and a lot of pc masterminds especially left, but another patch or two down the road I heard it even got bad on console in spite of the downies on consoles (I heard they were genuinely handicapped on consoles like bringing bats against nikolai lmfao) and from there it was pretty much dead I heard unless you wanted to either be a punching bag on mastermind or use one of the "if you can't kill em, beat em to death through monotony" builds which was the only way to win any more I heard after some of the crazy ######### they gave survivors in that game later in the year.

I played mostly survivor for the first couple of months or so, every time I tried mastermind I enjoyed nothing but annette until she was nerfed, then spencer as I grew more frustrated with survivors as the pc base dwindled and I got tired of seeing the same premades repeatedly, and then tried nikolai for the lulz before never installing it again one day. That game is trash, and the reason resident evil 3 had a decent chunk of content that should been created for it cut just to make that pile of dung resistance was. It was so easy as survivor I usually won solo unless my team were complete noobs especially when I was jan since they never had a functional cam to do anything with other than jacksh**. it was pretty sad how one-sided that game was. only the biggest scrubs needed cheat engine, and made me sick how pathetic they were to cheat in such a busted game as that one.

I'd avoid resident call of doody resistance as much as the idea of an honest election after 2020.

That's because games like that and call of duty don't matchmake off of ranking I believe , if you get thrown in with a 10th prestige quick scoper the game doesn't care if it's your very first time playing or not

especially not if they're quickscoping you with a cash shop gun and the suits at hactivision hope you're naive enough to think buying that gun will help you suck less

It's very boring, I did not sit in a 40 minute que so the killer can farm.

they didn't queue as killer just to deal with sweat pouring over the ######### matchmaking and get trolled by swf again, the problem with this game is each side can only think about the experience from it's own perspective. maybe that killer is tired of bs. maybe they justw ant some damn bp so they can get some decent perks and are tired of swf bs or the rainbow matchmaking. but either way their queue is only 40 seconds if not less so if you happen to be one of those that likes to troll and abuse the poor matchmaking theyc an always sit in the corner and give no interaction at all on a bad night and quickly jump into their next match afterward

first of all, if you're doing bad you shouldn't deserve a kill in the first place. The mori nerf was a good change.

same can be said about escapes and keys mon ami

The killer should definitely take priority here. However if you find it first and stand on it I believe you can body block the killer. I've had survivors stand on the edge of it nearest to me and try to bait a hit and I still can't move around them fast enough to close it sometimes. The killer still can't push you off (for some reason killers can't ever move a single person 1/5th their size lol).

if you're on the right killers and they're being too cocky you might able to get it from behind them which has happened to me once lol

What do you when no joke, 90% of your games, your teammates just stop playin?

Game after game after game after game, all three teammates stop doing gens with 1-2 to go, and I'm the only person trying while injured. I die constantly because of this.

I can't 1v1 the killer when no one else is doing anything.

This is honestly most of my games and I'm so tired of being in unwinnable situations because my teammates literally will not play the game.

they are on hook 2 or 3 , with fewer gen to patrol, possibly 3 gen themselves and either all want the hatch or are swf using you as bait while they wait to tbag the killer if theyf ound akey

Theres the mori nerf for ya. It'll probably normalize in a couple of month's.

It wasn't just nerfed, it was murdered. Effectively removed from the game. Replaced with a 7k bp burn here and there depending on where you want to progress on a web once in a while. It's more of a waste of bp now than yellow ironically since yellow doesn't waste as many bp lmao

I think I have seen that hole and when I tried to go through it, I couldn't. It also effects survivors.

there's a couple of spots in the generated swamp (one sometimes spawns around the big boat) where sometimes you might make it through a small gap, but other times you run into it and get smacked by thin air and feel like an idgit when you go down for it. happened to me a lot on the swmap, but my favorite spot on the swamp was when i could go around a piece on the side of the boardwalk that used to be there that made it impossible to hit me from on top, they could hit me from down on the ground though but by then I would have went around back on top and go back and forth lol. one guy was dumb enough tp spend what felt like about an entire minute doing it going upa nd down before he finally gave up after a couple of gens were finished while he was there LUL

Ive had some games recently where it’s a PC 4 man SWF, all high red ranks except one obvious new smurf account rank 17 - 20.

Seems to be obvious that they are doing it to get a lower ranked killer, anyone else experience this?

Is it against terms of service or just bad sportsmanship / poor etiquette?

why still play killer if that happens too often to you, the only thing you can do is stop playing killer untilt he queue length gets so bad for survivor devs are forced to put out bots with bad AI to be the killers or actually deal with swf

  • @Father_Dark said:

I had 2 matches recently where at the last moment in the lobby all the survivors switched to a single character. The first match was Claudettes and the second match was Bills. I try not to tunnel, but this was coordinated and they wore the same exact outfits too, and it was very difficult. I got a 4K with the Clauds and one Bill escaped through the hatch.

I'm just wondering why do it? To reduce tunneling? But now you might get accidently tunneled? I don't know. Just curious to wonder why it was done.

    Thanks.

when that happens immediately open task manager and killt he game process or hold your xbox guide or ps button and kill the app or you're in for a really bad time with troll with friends where you might as well sit staring in a corner hoping they get it over with and don't waste your time dancing around and not escaping and getting it over with. general rule of thumb as killer is when somebodyd oesn't ready up, expect this to happen and dodge it for another lobby while only readying up yourself once ALL FOUR survivors already have readied up themselves.

And if for some reaosn you let it get to the point they can pull the 'switcharooonyoo' again, kill the game as quickly as possible and if you did it too late just ea the dc penalty until the second time that happens with the timer if you don't learn to do it fast enough and call it a night and play or do something else. once swf plays "let's find a lobby" all night frequent enough, and has to wait through match loads just to go straight back into queue enough times, they'll learnt o stop pulling that kind of bs on killers or will get used to most of their dbd time being spent in queue.

  • in teh current state off for the good of both killers and solo survivors to be able to not feel trapped in matches they're absolutely miserable within especially the solos since survivor queue time is ######### already at night where I play

  • if there is a delay in the dc being handled, then that can happen mainly if you've already loaded into the match before the server finally acknowledges their dc. and I lol'd thinking if they actually stopped the offerings dc dodge without the timer. because then they are gonna lose even more killers in the current state of that side roflmao especially when survivors used to do that to killers every time they saw a mori yet killers would after gettin btchslapped by the devs be expected to stay in a switcharoo swf lobby? na, they'd just uninstall by this point I bet and check a few months later if it was worth installing again later if they decided to come back.

I left for almost 3 full years, so, people do leave. I intended to genuinely never touch this again after late 2016 but the bamboozle effect on vault spammers got me tot ry it again around when ph came out. that was the only thing that got me tot ry the game again. people do leave, it happens.

  • @Jed said:

Yeah they could encourage people to play both sides more often by offering extra bloodpoints. Or just make it mandatory to switch every....lets say four games. So after four games of survivor you have to switch and play at least one game as the killer or vice versa. I think this would be reasonable for most IF it improved the lobby time.

witht he queue times the wayt hey sound you probably only get around 4 matches at most in anight before you wanna switch it off and play anything else lmao, so, sounds about right so that people could play something else after those 4 matches rather thanc log up the queue or have to sit in it all night whent hey be playing somehting else. I guarantee people that don't wanna be killer are just gonna shut it off after that lol. it would still help loosen up the queues though, but, if after trying it most people did not want to be killer ironically it could wind up becoming ten minute killer queues if theyw eren't on for prime time while most of the survivors were getting their 4 matches a day in. so still a bad idea in the end. personally, I'd justa fk wraith every killer match in this game. only partially because of the current state of the game for killers, mostly just because I don't like my arm being twisted and it would be my way of giving the finger and saying, "not gonna make me do something i decided I'm not gonna do" and I'd watch a quick 5 minute yt video while afk. if their 'solution' to constantly making killers miserable and feel as if they are completely ignored and just there as cannon fodder for the survivors is to 'force' you to take that rather than make it actually fun and enticing again then they'd deserve a game full of afk killers. some people are just not in a mood to take unnecessary bs at this point

  • @Zeb89 said:

    Ok, this is getting ridiculous.

10 minute lobbies as survivor during the evening (18:00 - 2:00) vs 3 second Killer lobbies.

The issue is reversed during the morning and early afternoon. Killer takes 4-5 minutes to find a match.

Why aren't there bonuses for playing underplayed roles?

All normal games have this system in place so the game doesn't die. In MOBA games you get an exp boost at least. This is common sense, people. Just do it.

The game is in a horrible state because of this.

I don't know why devs are so detached from reality to seemingly not notice.

no amount of extra bloodpoints make it worth playing killer for me after having all useful teachable and getting them on a new killer worth using every dlc

One time I was being a douche against a freddy and sat on the hatch on top of a hill thinking I had a grand view of the map watching him move around looking for it for a couple or few minutes (one of the old yamaoka variants iirc) when out of the blue as I was crouched waiting to spam tbag and escape it suddenly closed and ole iron willie and I were smacked down like WWE. needless to say I immediately alt+f4. It's really lame bringing them all the time, brought in like 5 a day and those matches just felt boring. But you know, and it can't be just me, but keys cause a problem too so I don't think the devs were right in only updating one at a time. But solo survivors with keys tend to get way less altruistic, and may even hide letting others to die while not doing objectives. Saying moris were worse because of quick kills I think is wrong, when keys cause terrible teammates or bullshit escapes. So endgame with a key is a key is fair right? Especially when that survivor got there when just hiding? Yea, moris were the bigger problem, sure.

You're right about those tendencies ins olo survivors, at least in my case. That was how I had many keys saved, since I rarely used them except to get escape rifts done faster regard;ess of how douchey I had to be. It is pretty boring bringing them too much which was why I stopped using them, i I got chased even once not even hooked I'd suddenly become the biggest poon in the match or even out of my whole night's worth of matches waiting just to use that key lol. Which was the main reason I stopped using them, it changed the game too much for me each time I brought them too much especially with addons to preserve them after death and use. It didn't feel as fun for me, and became either stressful or led to me playing in ways that was probably stressful for others and was for certain boring for me.

but you know they cant do swf only in unranked? if all swf's would go there:

    A) there would be too little survs in ranked

    B) and no killers would be go to gamemode where only 3-4men swf would go

so on both ques, que times would get much much longer xd

also imo tryhard nurse/spirit cannot be beaten by soloQ, and majority of SWFs can be beaten if you tryhard enough (and ranked would be for those type of ppl) beaten even by normal killers (like demo, bubba)

it doesn't need to be called "unranked", it can be called casual mode versus ranked mode where ranked puts you into the game as truly intended and not the troll with friends fest and the constant anticipation and frantic detective work involved with avoiding them when possible. that's too much stress for some people who just wanna sit down and play a video game. especially after the year some areas had. I don't blame people for not wanting to play killer any more, that's the devs' responsibility to make it fun enough for them to want to play it again.

They won't separate the queues they have consistently only made changes that will neither split the player base or hurt queue times. Putting SWF groups somewhere over there would do both.

We all need to experience easy mode every once in a while. It's why I disagree with moris being nerfed.

well killers can't enjoy blowing off some steam and drying some sweat any more so don't be surprised when it has an even lower retention than it already does as more get burnt out and tire of it. taking a break on a long night through a mori at least kept a killer in queue and provided a match with a killer, and assured they wouldn't be afk unless it was not something they'd expected to need to do. Now some of those killers will remove a killer from the queue and play something else instead the rest of those evenings and some in time will remove the game entirely from their systems if it's frustrating enough on a regular basis for them. Not everybody is leet streams, and I've watched some of them struggle against the higher ranked twf groups using even the better killers sometimes while calling things out play by play. Imagine how people not nearly as sweaty feel dealing with that bs. And not everybody wants to become a human calculator when they're probably playing the game to just blow off some steam or have a little fun. If they don't make killer fun, they're gonna start bleeding them out over time at this point and keeping very few new to that side that try it out and are turned off from it. I understand whys treamers continue to put up with it but not everybody gets paid to entertain survivors all night. goatsie can insult killer players all he wants but that's not gonna stop them from giving him the same finger back he's been giving them the past 4 years. They'll just maybe take that 'advice' and check civilization out instead and never come back.

I don't get to keep the skeleton key that I picked up from a chest (That's really rare btw), I don't get to complete my weekly (Escape 4 times with a new item) and I don't get the escape. Next time I'm getting out of there regardless of my team. No hard feelings towards the hag, I have nothing against them but I did scream in agony and frustration as she hooked me. Hi this is my first post so I'm not sure if I'm doing this right (sorry) Anyway I just played a match where two Claudettes picked Lampkin Lane and brought a key (I wasn't paying attention in lobby) the match goes on till 2 gens and the claudettes are left. Hatch spawned between a 3 gen so I figured I won. They hid for a good 5 to 10 minutes then when I finally found them they jumped in hatch. They claimed I was babysitting hatch but I left the area multiple times to check on a gen at the end of the street. I have a lot of gripes with this games mechanics, but I can work with keys, moris, map offerings, toxicity, etc. But this is just a waste of time and boring. This reminds me of old DBD without the end game collapse where survivors would just tbag and wait at gates to waste the killers time instead of ending the game. Anybody else have to deal with this?

    TL;DR

Had survivors hide by hatch with key just to waste my time.

not sure how you seem to find this surprising right now, it's gonna happen a lot more frequently for a while and I'm gonna do it myself sometimes just for the lulz if I decide to play again soon. head on, urban evasion, spine chill and ds maybe and I'll just do literally nothing but worm around hiding until the hatch spawns lmao

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1822661#Comment_1822661

Because that’s all they needed. Keys and Moris have to completely different requirements. Keys you have to work for. Moris you hook someone once you find them again and you can remove them from the game. Keys you have either be the last survivor or have to get all gens done. Keys need a lot more work which devs and mods have stated several times and people just outright refuse to wrap their heads around it. It wasn’t a lazy change it was the only change they needed plain and simple.

you cans it around and hide like a coward with a key the whole f***ing game too while everybody else takes the risks to get the generators done enough and die enough to get the hatch to spawn for you to use thats tupid key. That's a whole lot of work 'required' by it. Well I guess if you count the rest of that team's work.

  • do most of a generator and get chased for a decent amount of time, do a whole generator and tap another or twoa little and get chased at all and heal another player once or unhook one on top of those two and you're almost guaranteed to not depip

  • That's either not possible in order to achieve the desired effects , or it would be an abused clusterfrak of a game afterwards once it got figured out and exploited by one side or the other. it's not a practical goal, a separate queue that swf of a size of 3 or 4 can only use while killers, duos and solo survivors can pick either queue is a lot easier to do. We would also need a way to block their dbd player # from being matched with us so that we could block each of them that start the lobby hopping bs all over again in the solo/duo mode. That way solos and duo survivors and the killers would just be unable to be matched with by them which would eventually make that inconsequential and allow you to not play with anybody that sandbags you or is the worsts ort of toxic end game chat (everybody talks ######### in dbd, but once in a while one comes along that would inspire the devil itself probably). If that wittles downt he matchmaking for an individual player that blocks too much, then maybe they should look at themselves as the problem in their particular situation if they're blocking people left and right over every little thing or bad game.

  • I did notice the potential in what opie did after the new dlc, but as a solo it wasn't so bad for me to try for an in match key a few times just to see how well the perks would work together. a twf doing it is a whole other story. they already can through voip negate some powers and perks, already remove their own need to use certain perks while having 4 slots free for others, no need to add this sort of behavior on top of it. pun intended

  • with the recent changes this is one of those times where they oughtta give a three dc per 24 hour period leeway for a while

  • please don't cry when queues become long, it's necessary and you won't change their minds

not seeing him outside of 24 meters not being able to see him would not singlehandedly bring back spinechill, him being more popular for a few days will then it will die back out unless people get addicted to spinechill (because thats how it starts)

spine chill is good anyways because of the vault boost, while unlike resilience you don't need to be injured to be able to get the boost in a chase since while being chased they're usually looking at you lol. resilience combined sometimes felt like it helped me avoid some of the less bad 'bs laggy' hits after vaulting too. It also made survivor very chillaxle so i wound up using spine chill most of the time, even preferred over ds since I didn't get to use ds much unless I was trying deliberately with spine chill most of the time.

  • @danielmaster87 said:

My SWF have been doing this lately and I'd like to share it because it's kind of genius. You equip Plunderer's and Appraisal (Ace in the whole is optional), put up a coin and/or blueprint offering to create more chests and determine the hatch spawn point, do the gens, find the hatch, and you're out. It's tough to give up the 2 perk slots, but your other 2 can just be the classic DS/Dead Hard. It's way easier to do with SWF, but SWF is not necessary for it to work.

But you're probably wondering, "Why do this when you can just bring a key in?" That is because right now, unless you quick switch to a key in the lobby, the killer is going to notice your key and play extra dirty to stop you from using it (camping, tunneling, using Franklin's, etc). With this strategy you can play around that whole thing, because the killer will only see you with a key mid-match and not before.

If this strategy becomes popular, you can expect to see killers actually using scratched coins and Hoarder to counter it. I think it's viable, especially in SWF. What do y'all think? You can try it out if you'd like first.

Not gonna lie if you wind up with 30 minute queues reset every time killers doge it'll definitely be deserved, the game would be better off without this kind of bs, including for the bait or pallet punching bag solo that has the misfortune to land in the filler spot in some 3 man lobbies too. this game needs to segregate anything above a solo or maybe duo in a queue that both solo survivors and killers can choose to never play in. god I hope the evil dead coming next year isn't trash

  • hmm maybe I'll burn the rest of my keys and wrap this up if the queues don't take too long for me, guess I'll have to play during the day sometimes to finish it where I live

  • small game, everybody should be able to get that perk, or detective's hunch which iirc was more recently on the shrine or maybe it was one of tapp's other perks. those perks are good for any player but especially beginners. once you have the feel for the spawns you don't need it, but small game with such a short cooldown still can help you save alittle bit of time and get to the gens faster if the killer is all over them. still smarter to top off a gen or two and just grab the bones in between if they look like they're cmaping somebody or somebody is able to run them on along chase of course since a gen done while you can is better since the bones will always be there afterward. That was how I dealt with ruin before undying, I just had to get more bones was all after undying. as a bonus by some off chance somebody is running noed or another hex (like hg) with them you've taken care of them too. just for the love of god if it's a spirit assume there's a good chance it's hg and don't do while somebody is being chased who isn't injured already lol. and if there's no ruin just leave the bones be until you know another annoying hex is in play, let them waste that slot in that situation rather than risk constantly getting people hooked for nothing.

  • @Galklife said:

i could same about soloQ surv on red ranks (ruin/undying, before rank reset 6 of 8 games vs spirit)

but tbh i dont find red ranks too pleasant place to be in on both sides. On both killer and surv im trying to be in green/low purple rank (so mm wont take me too often to red ranks) and my playstyle helps me in keeping my killer on green/low purple i have troubles with keeping surv there (its too easy to pip as surv, and there is no way to play a game and depip) on killer i just have to not run slowdown and dont kill until i get 7 hooks (and unless survs are pepega you will safety pip).

Im just sick from meta gaming: survs will do gens on your face because they have DS, ignore surv on hook just to do gens, or just camp safest windows in the game. Killers will slug for 4k in almost every single game, play spirit, nurse use ruin/undying, iri add ons

and between those sweats i am... with my bond, small game, inner, plunder or whispers, bbq, enduring (and 1 perk depending on killer) wraith/pig main

casual gamemode when? so ppl that think this game is competitive or rank means sth will go .... themselfes in their own sh..show called ranked que (limit casual gamemode to yellow items)

actually casual could be like the blinds in league were before premades could also fill up a lobby in ranked, which was the last time I touched league. let the troll with friends fill up casual. and keep the ranked mode for solo and maybe duo... sure ranked in higher ranks on league got sweaty too but generally if you didn't play enough to worry about it then ranked was basically a way to take a break from the chaos of blinds. current dbd queue is essentially the chaos that blinds in league were.

introducing a solo, Maybe solo/duo restriction to ranked in dbd and shoving the swf bs into unranked mode would do the game some favors since eventually most people would settle into their elo and even killers would have a better time especially if they knew how to intentionally play down a little sometimes to not rise up too easily in neither hidden elo nor displayed ranks. the unranked mode being the only to allow twf could also run based off of a hidden elo only, no ranks, like the blinds in league. to avoid either side blatantly shitting on noobs constantly once they've done it too many times in a period of time. Let it slowly decay over time so that returning to the game after long breaks will be easier also.

  • It was the same with Valhalla for me too, although one of the more recent times I played valhalla it seems they decided to merge them as suddenly out of nowhere while playing a ton of achievements popped up back to back and I recognized some of them being from the early game when I played it on pro the launch week before my ps5 got here.

The problem is undying the perk is too good. The perk need a nerf, limit the detection to hex totem when is cleaing by a survivor. For survivor ds is to ez to abuse. But the real problem is the lvl of skill of players. Both survivor and killer 80% are complete trash and need perk to do decent. Dev Don't wanna touch the game to make more different into low and high skill players. In this states if the game perk make more similar the skill if play. If ds and undying rework low skill players will get stomped

you really wanna go for record survivor queue times don't you lol, like guinness record queue lengths

Man what a night. I'd say its been one star game experience after one star game tonight.

It's like some kind of toxic survivor quagmire this evening, this is not about win/loss its about just obnoxious behaviour and abusive post game chat.

The last game was really the icing on the cake 3x nea swf that kept sandbagging the fourth player, while trying to constantly circle and taunt me. They weren't doing gens they were just hanging around circling and trying to block the David with pallets.

Now its free pressure for me so who cares just kill em and move on but I thought I don't even really want to play with these people. So I'm not gonna lie I ignored the Neas chased the david around a bit to let him stun me and escape a few times for the blood points and then just DC'd.

I'm not condoning the DC, its against game rules, but just I really didn't want to interact with these people. Nor should I have to.

But I was happy to see the David got at least a reasonable amount of bloodpoints while the Neas got jack ######### outside of the DC bonus. That feels like a bigger win than having actually gamed with them.

Man I wish this game had bots because as it stands right now a large section of the community are people you would just ever game with.

lett he swf killt heir game lol, it'll leave people thirsty by the time the evil dead game rolls around next year.

I don't think full invisibility means that all the way up close, I think it just means at a range you can't even see him when cloaked, probably like 24 meters or less with addons which they might change 1-2 to be full cloaked from a closer range

it would need to be an addon to not even get the predator effect and the flickering and NOT a constant default thing, or else spine chill would be an absolute requirement if too many people decided to play him on top of other stealth killers suddenly especially once freddy gets made trash

  • @SilentHillOnDvD said:

When he is fully invisible he'll be like spirit where you can't tell what he's doing making his hit and run strategy very strong

On top of that if they make a windstorm addon basekit i honestly believe he'll have a decent chance against a good swf

wraith already is with the right addons, hell he even has one to see auras while cloaked, and he can get around the map at a decent pace too while also silencing the bell completely or the red stain and terror radius briefly too for ambushes he's far from useless especially for an og killer in 2020's state. I'd rather use him than trapper or hillbilly. or also nurse, but only because I'm bad at nurse and not gonna spend the time getting a phd with her just to play a video game.

wraith was my favorite killer to goof off and troll with actually. I spent some times using the brown for the cloaked terror radius with distressing sometimes, just to see how people reacted to it and a few times they wondered in end chat if the killer was bugged in the match which was hilarious, that worked perfectly standing in the middle of the courtyard in middlewich. Other times I would use insidious, distressing, and monitor and then turn around and camp cloaked with him to see if anybody would notice it in the end game that I was using stupid perks like that for it. I also liked pretending to be an afk wraith and then scoring a couple of kills or more with a sudden bloodwarden at the end especially if they were too lazy to find all the bones and noed was active. So he's even fun and funny to dick around with too

Worrying about the killer bringing a Mori to counter was the biggest reason I didn't use keys.

Now I got a huge stockpile to use up before they change too :D

(They shoulda waited and did them both imo)

If I still bothered to touch killer, which I don't plan to even for rifts, I'd simply dodge a lobby where somebody didn't ready up or had a key especially with a flashlight combined and when on steam them all also being clearly on pc or when on console them all having the crossplay icon on their group. Killer would get another lobby in seconds at least the time of day I played where I live. And if I did let one pull the old switcheroo I'd just task manager kill the process byt he offering screen or hold the ps button and kill the app on the homescreen on ps5 so they'd go right back into a long queue and I wouldn't burn an offering lmao. Once killers get tired enough of the bs they'll start doing that on a larger scale for those that still play as killers. So burn those keys while you still have a chance given by them. I'd honestly started doing the same myself on my survivor characters thats till had keys before uninstalling to make room for other games lmfao

I love imagining the look on their faces when they can’t quickswitch to their key in the last 6 seconds (I can still leave the lobby during the last 16 seconds) and actually use it because I close out the game too fast. Sorry, but I’m not letting you use your busted item. Maybe another Killer will.

It'll give you more satisfaction quickly closing the app on console or having task manager open and tabbed to so you can let the offerings show up a split second first just to really let them think they made it before closing their dreams down lol. both sides get their offerings back with no dc so it's harmless. But real satisfying, plus beats afking 5 minutes. That's what they did to killers every time they saw amori anyways, I would roll my eyes wondering if I would have to not be the first found by the killer or wondering if I was gonna be going straight back into queue from survivors doing that ont he offering screen every time the other 3 guys in a lobby looked suspicious or were all 3 pc players lol. So survivors dished it out long enough, it's time for killers to let them sit through along loading screen to see that somebody dropped during load and that they gotta start their queue over again. The end of 2020 should be full of examples of that which goes around comes around.

Surprisingly, I’ve actually seen less keys than usual. Doesn’t mean they aren’t a problem though, hope the nerf comes soon for everyone that’s being swamped with them. I just dodge them when I see them.

if the times they're playing the queue length is 10 to 20 minutes in their area that's the best way to deter bad behavior or undesired gameplay, by dodging the lobbies you don't like, and also crashing or closing the game by/on the offerings screen to counter those that hold off till 16 seconds to suddenly swap out their sooperdooper trolly swf setup and think they're gonna finally get a chance to use it

  • since they can no longer be killed early from the killer's pink offering, their own pink offering should no longer allow them to escape early. what it could be useful for, is a way to open the hatch once the exit gates are powered whether or not there are other survivors alive and not yet escaped. Also when a killer closes a hatch spawned and opened fairly it should be able to open that hatch again and that should be the extent of it. It would still have more function than 'moris' that way, while not being able to allow them to escape before the gens are complete or they are the last man alive in a hatch match.

If the gates are too close for survivor to camp one while the kilelr finds the hatch, and you found a purple or pink key in a chest say with plunderer... you could sneak over to open the hatch if the killer is closely guarding those poorly spaced gates unless you knew the hatch was far enough away that you had time to fully open one before that killer could make it to them. So still useful. Unlike moris. But also a fair change, since in a hatch match with poorly spaced gates on smaller maps if the killer shuts the hatch they pretty much have it in the bag with the egc timer and that's the situation the key should still be useful like how mori was helpful against swf running a nintendo ds launch party.
