I'd do a mix of balance changes and bug fixes.
-
Some Survivors are deathly terrified of being injured. Even when you're right there, they'll hightail it halfway across the map. They don't even care about We'll Make It.
-
Clown has Bamboozle and PGTW (PGTW is considered to be meta), but isn’t that great of a Killer.
All of Plague’s teachables (Corrupt Intervention, Infectious Fright, and Dark Devotion) are good, with two of them (Corrupt and Infectious) being considered meta. She is also the strongest Killer out of the three here.
Pig has Surveillance and Make Your Choice, which can be good by themselves, but rely on Killer/perk synergy to really shine. She’s an ok Killer at best though.
For me, it would be down to if you want one of the best perks in the game (Pop Goes The Weasel) but a Killer that struggles in certain areas or if you want three good perks (two of which are meta) and a stronger Killer. If I didn’t list a teachable, it’s because that perk isn’t really that good.
Also, don’t buy just the Killer. Buy the entire chapter. The chapters are normally $8 USD on consoles while the characters are $5 USD each. It’s a better deal because you don’t know if you’ll want to play the Survivor sometime in the future.

It just made him more consistent with other stealth killers. It also made Spine Chill more consistent as its description reads "trumps all killer stealth abilities" however this did not apply to Myers for some reason.
It didn’t apply to Myers because that was supposed to be a special part of his power. He was the only Killer who had the power to overcome Spine Chill. Of course you were slowed down and had a shorter lunge, but it meant that the Survivors would have to always be alert if they didn’t want to risk you appearing out of nowhere and throwing you on a hook.
-
You either played in a boring way (like hard camping, hard tunneling, or trying down all four Survivors first before hooking them) or the Survivors are just salty they couldn’t loop you for five gens.
@OtakuBurrito said:
Because those killers are currently flodding the market and playing against the small killer all the time become monotomous asf. For me personally when I findout it's a deathslinger I just either gen rush him with my friend or let him kill me on hook. It's not so much the killer but more so the playstyle of the people playing and people already knowing what perks the killer is running because every single killer runs those perks.
Freddy: Surveillance
Oni: Infectious Fright
Spirit: Stridor
Doctor: Make Your Choice
Billy: Infectious Fright/Bitter Murmur
Deathslinger: Monitor and Abuse
Ghostface: Make Your Choice
These perks with BBQ and Chili, NoED, Whispers, and Bitter Murmur are so common on all killers it just takes all the fun out of going against a killer because you're forced to play a certain way ALL the time because everyone is pretty much running the same thing with the exception of 1 skill.
The most fun killer I went against recently was a Billy that ran PWYF, Bamboozled, Make Your Choice, and Bitter Murmur. Watching that man NASCAR around the map, getting stacks, and cucking us in chasing and watching him zoom around killer shack to mow us down was the funniest/scariest thing ever. He got the 4K and I was happy he did because we got a good show out of it.
And yeah i get "Survivors are supposed to die. You're not supposed to have fun. It's our job to kill you not entertain you." But remember this is a GAME first and if people aren't having fun they're going to find ways to do so hence why SWF is so popular. And if people aren't having fun due to being tunneled or constantly dealing with a certain play style they're going to run perks to deal with that to attempt to have fun.
Doctors always running MYC? What kind of Killers are you going up against? Most Doctor builds usually consist of gen perks or the PWYF+Nemesis combo.
-
Yeah, Survivors know how ######### the hitboxes are at that range and abuse it.
-
Meh
-
Mew’s Guts and Rat Liver or Deer Lung and Rotten Green Tripe.
The first combo buffs your Shred by making you recover faster on missed Shreds and lets you move faster while charging your Shred. You also get an extra portal.
The second combo increases your speed while teleporting. You’ll get to your destination much faster and can catch Survivors off guard.
@[Deleted User] said:
Mews Guts and the Rat Liver add-ons make his shred overall better. You can take portal add-ons, which are fine, and his base shred is good enough, but making his shred better is overall more beneficial.
Don't bother with the lifeguard whistle or the brass case lighter, they are near useless. I'd only use his red moss add-on with the unknown egg because the red moss makes your teleport recharge much longer.
The Unknown Egg add-on only shaves 2.5 seconds off his power recharge time. You’re still dealing with a 20 second power recharge time and with how easy it is to spot Demo, the longer Undetectable duration isn’t worth it most of the time.
-
Hawkins.
-
Wait a minute, Gearhead works with ONLY good skill checks? I thought it worked with both goods and greats.
With your rework, can I bring Unnerving Presence and have a 90% reduction to good skill check zones for gen repairs? I could that being scary on Doctor. Every gen skill check is small as #########.
-
I ######### love him. Second favorite Killer after Doctor.
-
Anywhere on the map.
-
Surprisingly, I don't have the same experience. I'm at rank 1 and I get more GGs than I do salt. When I started to consistently reach and stay at red ranks, especially rank 1, I expected to be bombarded with salt. I guess I just happen to get most of the nice Survivors somehow.
-
Fun is subjective.
-
Black Incense is one of my favorite add-ons. I think it was the last Ultra Rare for a brand new Killer that actually deserves the rarity.
-
Deathslinger has one good perk in Dead Man’s Switch and two okay perks in Gearhead and Hex: Retribution.

I’m not being rude or mean but I don’t think it’s a good change cause honestly that’s like the 1 most used killer perk and I don’t want that nerfed just like what happened to ruin, I to use it and I absolutely love it cause I can level up my killer or survivors faster which is the whole point of it as well but if it’s only just aura reading I would stop using it because it’s practically useless, and btw it’s called a nerf not a buff, a buff if where they make it stronger a nerf is where they make it weaker.
It’s not a nerf. You’ll be able to always get the BP bonus, even without BBQ. The aura reading would be unchanged. If you’re only using BBQ for the BP bonus, then you’ll be able to use a different perk because the BP bonus would be baseline.

I love how people are saying Legion is the worst Killer... You obviously dont know how to play him if you think his power is useless. His power is meant to keep everyone injured and track people without the need of perks like BBQ. The problem I see with most legions is that they commit to a chase and most of the time rarely use their Feral Frenzy. Use Sloppy/Thana/Nurses/Pop or Surge and you can easily 4K a team and put up decent gen pressure.
You know you replied to a comment from six weeks ago, right?
-
Oni is the strongest out of those four. Get him.
-
What?
-
I think the two community outfits (Mr. Puddles Clown and Demon Slayer Feng) are getting added to the store sooner than the rest. The other Rift skins are supposed to be added six months after their respective Rift closes. IIRC only event cosmetics and charms are staying exclusive. So only things like the Hallowed Blight Nurse, Putrid Serum charm, and Moonrise Lantern charm should be staying exclusive. Everything else should thankfully be going to the store.
-
######### that window.

Has anyone ran into a Myers running tombstone piece that ######### is stupid that something like that exists in this game. No hook, no hit just fully stalked and i can get insta killed 🙃 wow thanks dave ive ignored alot of bullshit in this game but that is where i draw the line!
You can jump in a locker and force him to hook you. Tombstone doesn’t work on slugged Survivors. He’s also really slow when using it. Seems like your teammates are just utter garbage and are feeding him his tier 3.
-
Dwight, Nea, Clown, and Wraith hopefully.
-
I don't understand why the Rfit can't stay open until the next one begins. That way we'll always have a Rift going for players to earn rewards. There was an issue towards the very end of the Rift that prevented a decent amount of people from playing, so hopefully the devs will decide to bring back the Rfit for a couple of days to compensate for that.
I think the Mr. Puddles Clown and Demon Slayer Feng skins are coming sooner than most Rift cosmetics and charms because they were created by community members. They'll be available to purchase with Cells and Iridescent Shards.
-
- Both Iridescent add-ons with Doctor.
- Red Paint Brush and Swing Chains/Paint Thinner with Freddy
- Mew's Guts and Rat Liver with Demogorgon
- Black Incense and Vile Emetic with Plague
-
It's because either you or the Killer are too far from the nearest server. To the game, the hit connected perfectly but on your screen it didn't because of the connection. It'll probably take a long time to fix unfortunately.
-
The last two Rifts released with a mid-chapter patch, so it's safe to assume that the third one will follow suit. The patch should come out around late April/early May.
-
It needs a lot of fixes before launch. Otherwise, it's a very fun game. Only played Predator though.

When is the next mid-chapter? Ta.
Probably end of April or early May.
-
Next mid-chapter. The last two Tomes have come out with them, so the third will most likely follow suit.

What about the other 68 days?
Different people have different lives. Some people may have been busy earlier in the Rift and had more free time towards end only to lose out on some of that because of how much of a mess this game is. Do you think it's fair that players lose out on cool new items because the game ######### up? A couple of extra days won't hurt your precious exclusivity at all. It's just fairly compensating players who were robbed of their chance to get Rift items. You can't even buy 100 Auric Cells to only get the tiers you want because the cheapest option is 500 for $5. People don't want to have 400 cells just laying around because they only wanted a specific tier in the Rift and nothing else.

Not sure if someone answered your question and honestly I'm not sure if this is the stream they said it, but somewhere here I believe a dev said that finishing the Archives/challenges from Tome II should mean you'll have the Rift completed by then.
I didn't even look through the stream again to confirm if that's what they specifically said, but I do remember hearing this.
When the devs lowered the difficulty of some of the challenges back in Tome I, they also made it to where you had to play extra matches if you completed all the challenges to get to tier 70. I've completed all of the Killer challenges and a good portion of the Survivor challenges (around 70%) and I'm only at tier 50.
-
It's not though. I ######### love it. I remember hearing it when I first played the new Doctor and going "holy ######### that's badass!"
-
Plague and Oni because of the Emblem system being ######### and punishing them for using their power.

wait what.. if i don't remember wrong, after the first rift the next one started almost immediately? if the new rift doesn't release soon i'll be disappointed lol
The Rifts and Tomes come out with each new mid-chapter. Last year around this time, the mid-chapter patch (2.7.0) came out in May, which would a month away from today. Now Ash did come out around this time, so that might have pushed the mid-chapter patch into May. Even if I'm wrong and the new mid-chapter (3.7.0) releases earlier, it'll still be at the end of April, meaning that we'll have gone at least three weeks without a Rift. Like ZoneDymo said, why not give us more time? There's nothing else happening, so keeping the Rift going until the new one arrives would be a great idea.
-
@toxicmegg said:
NO, I want the new rift already
The next Rift won't start for at least a month. Extending this one a couple days wouldn't affect it at all and give you something else to do in the game.
-
That would be a really good idea to keep the Rift open until the next one begins. That way there's more to do in the game.
-
I was wondering what happened to the forums lol.
-
Hey, wasn't there an issue that prevented a decent amount of people from playing yesterday or the day before? Why not extend the Rift by a day or two to help them out? It's not fair that they miss out on their tiers because the game decided to ######### up again.
-
Gold Gatekeeper is easy to get after they changed it. It was just a boring challenge. If you’re having trouble just bring a slowdown build on a slowdown Killer.
The really BS challenges (and the ones we should really be talking about) are the Hatch ones/EGC sacrifice ones because they are just about completely out of your control.

Out of curiosity how do you manage to get illusionary pallets when using Calm and Restraint, when pallets fall under Order?
Iridescent King lets you use all four afflictions at once.
-
I don’t think a simple numbers buff will fix Unnerving. I think it needs to also have a 70/60/50% chance to trigger counterclockwise skill checks and remove the great skill check zone. My numbers are backwards on purpose so the Survivor cannot guess the skill check’s direction as they’ll have a 50/50 chance of getting an counterclockwise one at tier 3.
Dying Light really needs to affect the Obsession or not deactivate when they are killed. On any Killer not named Plague or Legion, it gives you a super-powered Obsession that you don’t want to kill. Slug them and that means the Obsession will not be having a lot of fun.
Your Overcharge idea sounds interesting. I have a different idea that basically makes the gen go nuts and is dangerous to stay around:
You are fuelled by your hate for progress.
Overcharge a Generator by performing the Damage Generator action.
The next Survivor interacting with that Generator is faced with a tremendously difficult Skill Check.
Failing the skill check results in an additional 3/4/5% Regression penalty and overloads the Generator, causing it to spark wildly for 3/4/5 seconds and will regress by an additional 5/10/15% throughout this period. It will also lock Survivors who attempt to repair it out of all interactions for 2.5 seconds. Succeeding the Skill Check grants no progress, but prevents the Generator Explosion and overload.
Note: the additional regression is not 5/10/15% per second. That would make it nearly impossible to complete a generator as it’d regress by 75%. It’s 5/10/15% over the 3/4/5 seconds. Meaning that if a gen at 85% is overloaded, it will regress to 65% by the time Overcharge’s effect wears off.
-
Based on your description of your playstyle, it just seems like the Survivors are salty that they couldn’t escape or because they don’t like Doctor. Remember, the Killer is not there to make sure the Survivors have fun. If your playstyle is working for you (and obviously not utilizing any exploits/cheats), then keep it up.
-
It’s because you’re giving up other afflictions. I haven’t tried this out yet because I love using both his Ultra Rares too much. I have a feeling that the Discipline add-on only seems OP because of how new it is. It’s going to take some time to get used to the new shock timing and decide when you should drop the pallet.
The electrodes were buffed because the common one was the best one out of the three and the rare one was the worst when it should be the other way around.
-
You want to nerf Unnerving Presence, a perk which only works on one Killer and can still be countered by being a good Survivor? I run Distressing, Unnerving, and Overcharge on Doctor and against good Survivors, I only hear a failed skill check that's not from a gen or me interrupting a Survivor maybe once or twice per game. I am using up THREE perk slots for something and having it not work because Survivors can hit skill checks. I could be using much stronger perks like PGTW and Thrilling.
-
Demogorgon. It’s strong, but not strong enough to compete against red ranked Survivors.

They said playing an hour a day would be enough to finish the rift, jokes on them...
An hour?! Is that including queue and loading times?
@YokaiPhaseshift said:
I played for nearly 4 hours yesterday, and I completed ONE challenge: Safely save 12 people from hooks. Matchmaking on PS4 has been very poor lately, and I kept getting matched with low rank, incredibly campy and tunneling killers that actively prevented me from getting more than one save per match. The number of rift fragments for completing a challenge that took me 4 hours?
3. 3 rift fragments.
I'm barely scraping level 25 in the rift even though I'm nearly at the end of tome 3. And while I did skip some challenges (that I don't have the DLC to do) it feels like it is way too difficult to progress through the rift.
I feel you there. I would have to throw games just to get these challenges done and it sucked. Did you have BT for that challenge? Makes it a whole lot easier as it guarantees a safe unhook. I'm almost done with the entire Tome and I'm only at 48.
-
I think it's to encourage people to buy tiers unfortunately. Where did they say that completing the Tome would be enough to finish the Rift? It's not that I don't agree, but I just want to know where that came from.
-
The devs honestly did a great job with Doctor, much better than I expected. He went from being an ok Killer that can perform well in specific situations to a Killer that can do good in any situation. Unlike Killers such as Oni, Billy, Hag, and Spirit, he's strong because of his Madness to slow the game down. Looping is his weakness because of you having to time your shock correctly and Survivors being able to drop pallets early.
-
The game is poorly optimized on consoles unfortunately. It's even sadder once you realize this is a full game. At least Predator: Hunting Grounds can use the "it's a beta" excuse for its horrible optimization.
