They might be choosing not to because they don't think they need to or to make it scarier for themselves.
-
Doctor has a delay between shock therapies. It's tough, but you can get an unhook. I'd bring him down to A tier.
Hag should be in S tier. Her power basically screams "CAMPER", especially with how slow crouch speed is.
-
Surveillance is a decent tracking perk but relies on synergy to do well against good Survivors. I'd try to have something like BBQ, Ruin, or Pop alongside it. I have BBQ, Pop, and Surveillance on four out of six Killers that I play (Doctor, Freddy, PH, and Plague).
I think Thrilling is only worth it on high mobility Killers or Killers with an AoE ability so you can either get to the gen that isn't blocked or force Survivors off a gen so you can block it with Thrilling. I only really use Thrilling on Freddy because of his teleport. The only reason I don't use it on Doctor is because of Distressing for a bigger Static Blast.
Discordance is more for gen tracking and works best with Killers that can capitalize on that information (high mobility Killers and AoE Killers) so you can quickly get to the gen or use your AoE ability.

Why should a dangerous place mean they have to be defenseless all the time? They might be baiting you so you can either take the stun and then chase them or go after someone else.
Except said place is supposed to be a death sentence if the Killer finds you. Lockers are way too safe right now.

60 seconds passes quickly when you chase someone else.
So just leave them? Even though I’m not actually tunneling and they’re the ones throwing themselves at me by putting themselves into what is intended to be a dangerous place? Do you realize how stupid of an IDEA that is?
-
He’s not. Survivors are upset that they don’t get to control the chase. Honestly his Punishment of the Damned is weak outside of forced interactions and just plain luck, it needs a width buff at least.

Um.... When you swing at the locker, the survivors usually instinctively leave the locker. But it lets them know you know they are in there. And 60 seconds isn't that long to wait while they are in there either.

You know when you play a game and while you look for something you never find it and then when you stop, its everywhere? Yea dude. That's how it is. And I stopped using it when blight released. For some reason after his release the toxicity went through the roof. And your point about me having it? Does that mean killers can see my perks? Cause I would have figured that doesn't apply unless I use Ms. Strode. Considering that means since its release all killers should assume players have it. Come on man. Please think first on that cause it hold absolutely no value if you don't use it... And remember that my whole post is not directed So let at you, bruh. Calm down on my tunneling comment. And it does counter tunneling. You just want it to be less effective... Especially since you think its a free escape. It has a risk. You just want It to have more
What? What kind of Survivors are you going up against? Smart Survivors stay in the locker where the Killer can’t hit them unless they’re trying to use Head On.
Ok... you’re either new or trolling. 60 seconds is a LOOONG time in DBD. You can complete most of a gen in that time. If you sit there at the locker, you will lose so much pressure. See how bad your “strategy” actually is?
-
Three Survivors can’t heal the fourth and you’re saying that you kept going through one of the Megs? Sounds like you ran into some cheaters.

Thats a load of crap. If it was invincibility that wpuld mean you actually have to hit the little box every time. Plus it is only situational as I have it equipped and in the 2 months ive equipped it, ive actually used it only 5 times and missed 4 times. So if its "invincibility" then it would be automatic. Majority of the players you play against use it and I'm sure you wont know cause they miss it every time.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1674515#Comment_1674515
Quit complaining cause you got outsmarted. Like seriously.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1674885#Comment_1674885
You are asking to take away a survivors chance at surviving tunneled I used DS for 2 months and rarely used it and then I took it off. And holy he'll. The tunneling, bruh. Every match ive been in, I get hounded. As soon as I'm off the hook, here's the killer chasing me till I'm down again or hitting me right off the hook. Grow up dude. You aren't entitled to the kill, especially if you tunnel.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1674852#Comment_1674852
Again, nah, bruh. The killers can easily manipulate these kind of debuffs to DS...
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1674304#Comment_1674304
Do you know how to counter locker, DS? Swing your weapon at it. Of that doesn't work, insidious is great as you can go around the corner and hide.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1674281#Comment_1674281
I run into borrowed time in every match, bruh. As both survivors and killers...
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/197298/whats-your-view-on-ds
And dude..... You can't get DS'ed out of nowhere.... Its impossible because you hooked the person..... So you know who has the capability.....
You’re completely ignoring the word “idea”. I’m allowed to call something stupid even if I know how to counter it.
Also swinging your weapon at a locker just hits the locker itself. Maybe you just worded it wrong but hitting the locker doesn’t hit the Survivor.
-
This would hurt his viability a lot. All you have to do to counter it is vault. It would be nearly impossible to hit the Survivor at certain locations.

But why. He already hinders and it only increases it by 5%. I never really see much of an affect from this when I play it. I'd say some of his other add on are more worth it
Because that extra penalty can be the difference between catching up to a Survivor at a loop or not. Not catching that Survivor just once can change the course of the entire game.

Well, about the ds locker strat, you're only partially right. Because moris exist. If I run ds and someones tunneling me with a mori, I have to go in a locker.
I forgot about tunnel Moris. That’s the only situation I’ll condone locker DS.

@Sluzzy said:
Doctor is bad but Freddy is worse. It's why the devs should stop listening to killers when it comes to buffing killers.
So they should listen to Survivors instead?
-
It’s an anti-momentum perk that needs nerfs. The fact that you can make a billion bad plays and have this perk save you is BS. The whole idea of locker DS is insanely stupid (you’re not tunneling anybody, instead a Survivor is jumping into what’s supposed to be a dangerous place to use a defensive perk offensively). If you down Survivors too quick, you can get hit with DS and it’s basically a reminder that you’re doing too good and need to give the Survivors a chance. The strike shouldn’t happen at all in that situation. However, some Survivors are obsessed with it even if it does nothing and refuse to let it go.
-
By any chance are you on PS4 and play in a 4 man SWF? I got out of a match about 15 minutes ago where a green bunny Feng with a map ran straight towards me while tormented, failed to bait me with BT, got caged and called me a “homophobic fuckface” and a “tunneling #########” afterwards. If not, then this thread had some interesting timing (you’re also complaining about the cages).
-
She’s more annoying than overpowered to me. I wouldn’t mind if they buffed her but also made her more fun to play against.
-
Bloodpoints
Also helps with finding people, the gens don’t even regress while blocked with Thrilling.
-
I just hate the fact that kobes activate DS and the unhooking i-frames. You can just kobe in front of the Killer and they’ll be forced to “tunnel”. It’s stupid, especially when kobes are supposed to be some super rare last ditch attempt to escape the hook, not another way Survivors can mess with Killers.
As Killer I rarely get Survivors that kobe but I’ve been kobeing slightly more as a Survivor.
-
He does though. Any decent Survivor would know that he has to aim his shock therapy and that there’s multiple counters to his power.
-
The problem with Soul Guard is its synergy with DS and Unbreakable. Most Hex perks aren’t good enough for its second effect (always being able to pick yourself up) to be overpowered.
-
I really don’t see what’s the problem with letting us know the progress of our status effects. Deep Wound doesn’t go down while running so you can’t cheese it as Killer. Maybe they’re worried about Pig being able to tunnel trap users easier while crouched?

Well I had a thread before where I said I attempted to deliberately not camp or tunnel and still lost to this combination, and probably had 20-30+ people just telling me I needed to play better. I didn't see an absolutely perfect example of how it happened until now (at least not on record).
If that meg had BT/Unbreakable instead kindred and head-on, she could have mindlessly rushed the unhook after finishing the gen as well. That's what happened to me.
Ironically, the nicest killer I have found to play is Pyramid head since you can deliver survivors to the team to be saved for free but don't have to deal with these perks.
That's just another example of a lose-lose situation for Killers. You don't camp and tunnel, people tell you to get good. You camp and tunnel and they'll say the same thing. They won't admit to it though and will act like everything's okay.
Pyramid Head denying BS and DT is one of the reasons why I love playing as him. Of course Survivors complain that they don't get to use those perks as crutches to help them out of any situation.
-
Lose-lose situations apparently don’t exist for Killers. People on this forum can be crazy, don’t listen to them.

what a lazy noob , you start with 1 corrupted fountain by default and if they dont cleanse they're 1 hit down you cant catch for 1 hit and complain ? lol just git gut . ofcourse u can mindgame with plague she is so tall u can see with her over a lot of loops unlike for short killers and they dont complain about it
Her camera isn’t at her eye level though. Look at any recent Plague video that shows the match intro. Her camera’s around her chest level. You see the same thing that pretty much every other Killer (minus Hag and Blight) do.
-
This thread shows just how overrated the Exposed effect is and that too many people consider bringing perks or add-ons to be a good argument. A Killer should not need perks or add-ons to even be decent. Being injured doesn’t matter if you can’t catch that Survivor. There’s a reason some players will stay injured for the entire game.
The free corrupted fountain can easily spawn in a dead zone for you, meaning you have to leave the chase and gens just to get it. When you come back, you’ve already lost some time for your power and given the Survivors a chance to finish the gens uninterrupted. To fix this, I think the free corrupted fountain should be forced to spawn near multiple gens or the player only needs to press a button to activate Corrupt Purge after a Survivor cleanses or from the free purge instead of having to waste time going to a fountain. Of course we’d have to test each idea on the PTB first.
-
Based on the Instagram polls they do to see if people have unlocked a Tome-exclusive outfit (not the recolors) or Tome level completion rewards, less than half of the people are completing it. The most recent poll (the Meg outfit which is completed at tier 70) currently has 34% of people voting yes and 66% voting no. Maybe it’s just Instagram and that this will change when including other platforms, but people aren’t completing the Rifts. If they are, then they’re taking a long time. I wouldn’t mind adding fragments to the Rift paid track.
-
Only if it was a very onesided match.
-
Play as:
- Doctor
- Freddy
- Pyramid Head
Play against:
Pretty much anyone not named Hag, Trapper, Ghostface, or Spirit.
-
Survivors just don't like having to run anything other than a full second chance build. Ruin and Undying is strong but struggles with bad totem RNG (also the main reason I don't like to use it, I like being able to use all four perks without having to worry about losing two of them) or if you're a low mobility Killer on a large map. It doesn't make Thrill useless because it's easier to catch the notification for Thrill (look in the wrong direction for six seconds and say bye to your totem) and it slows down the cleansing speed. The most common suggestion seems to involve killing Undying to buff Thrill, which is not good at all.
We can buff solo Survivors with something like a totem counter (which would also help against NOED).
-
The thing is, those Survivors make the most money. If those Survivors quit, then who will eat up all their overpriced cosmetics?
-
The other Killers don't have global cues for everything they're doing though, only for specific actions that don't even give away that much information. All Demo has to do is breathe and the Survivors get a mapwide notification. Its footsteps are also way too loud (especially for a Killer who uses the Undetectable effect in its power). Four solos can have information on the level of an SWF. People would be fine if Demo only had the roar after teleporting as mapwide audio cue.
-
It happens to me on PS4 sometimes. I've been playing Doc, Freddy, PH, and Wraith the most lately. I did play Myers twice recently but didn't have any problems.
-
- I think the devs wanted to go for a "monster" vibe (which unfortunately doesn't work in this game, at least not the way they're trying) and that Demo was the result of the devs trying to shorten the gap between solos and SWF (which unsurprisingly is hurting poor Demo a lot, not sure why they haven't removed most of his mapwide audio cues and brought his footstep sounds to the level of the other Killers).
- Demo can place his portals just about anywhere and can be used for mobility.
- The devs had a habit of making terrible Ultra Rares around the time Demo was released (which unfortunately spread to 95% of his other add-ons). It looks like they might have broken that with Blight though. Also I don't think the devs were thinking straight when they made its Undetectable effect. Demo's supposed to be quiet, yet all you hear is BOOM BOOM BOOM.
- Licensing. That's pretty much it.
- Probably so you can't jump onto obstacles or get outside the map.
-
Hag. It’s boring having to crouch around all the time. If you unhook when she’s gone, crouch speed is so slow that she’ll likely be back before you can get away from the hook.
-
- Hag
- Ghostface
- Trapper
-
Her vomit can either go through the Survivor or hit them but the Survivor doesn’t take any damage or get sick. Dedicated servers can very easily destroy Plague.
Her Emblem scoring has been crap ever since her release and the devs have neglected it. It’s very easy to get a safety pip off a 4K if you use her power effectively.
-
Sometimes I dread playing DBD because of this. It's pretty much play Nurse or Spirit or you're going to have sweat your ass off, even for Killers like Doc, Freddy, and Blight. Sometimes I'll even look at their profiles and dodge based on how skilled they seem if I'm fed up with having to sweat 24/7. I know that I shouldn't judge a book by its cover, but sometimes I just go "screw it lol".

What I know
PS4 to PS5 if you currently own the game. With the same PSN account you get to keep your progress, DLC, Auric Cells, etc. Same with Xbox.
60 FPS 4K
3D Audio and Haptic Feedback we don't know anything about yet.
It'll most likely release close to the launch of the consoles, but probably not day one.
PS4 and Xbox One will still get supported, for how long we don't know yet, but probably another year or two.
Crossplay with PS4 and Xbox One from PS5 and Series X/S will be possible.
The crossplay between next gen and current gen consoles worries because of the devs’ track record when it comes to consoles. We never got the PS4 Pro and XB1X enhancements. What if the game is so poorly optimized that even the PS5 and XSX, the two strongest consoles, struggle to run it? I don’t want to (and shouldn’t) have to opt out of crossplay again for the PS5 just to have a somewhat fair match.
-
I think our progress is supposed to transfer to the next gen console (PS4 to PS5 and XB1 to XSX/S).
-
Ruin, Undying, BBQ/Surveillance, Pop, and Tinkerer. Put this on a strong high mobility Killer like Nurse or Spirit and you might just be unbeatable. Maybe add an Ebony Mori for insurance.
-
I thought this was fixed years ago, but something brought it back a few months ago. Somehow people are defending this saying it takes skill and to just look at a wall. Do they want us to merge with the wall or something? Lol
-
You could become overly reliant on his tracking ability and not use things such as crows, scratch marks, and blood. All three of things can have problems (crow RNG not favoring you, scratch marks vanishing out of nowhere before their timer is up and leaving a gap in between sets of marks, and the map being so dark in some areas that it’s hard to see the blood), so don’t worry if you rely on it in some matches (just not all or most)
-
Nope. This is what I’m expecting for all future Tomes unfortunately. Watch Tomes V and VI have the most fragments out of all of them only for Tome VIII to have the least.
-
It doesn’t. Sometimes you get revealed when behind a wall and sometimes you can be staring straight at him and it won’t work. You just have to pray it works when you want it to.

Maybe it wasn´t possible to resolve the issue on schedule due to unforseen circumstances/ more urgent issues that had risen?
Your question has merit but I highly doubt there´s malicious intent behind it.
I'd agree with you if multiple Tomes didn't have grab challenges (including a challenge that required two gen grabs in a single game). Do the devs just not care that they're creating so many challenges relying on a broken mechanic? Are the Tomes some kind of testing ground for broken mechanics like grabs?
-
I thought Lullaby appearing on the first skill check hit was a bug that the devs neglected for years. So they fixed a bug and nerfed the perk (which happens to be one of the worst Hexes in the game unless used on Doc) at the same time.
-
What changes do you think they should get?
-
I'm always wearing the Hallowed Blight outfits for Doc and Plague. Billy only has the torso and Spirit only has the sword. I've never taken them off since I unlocked them.
-
It looks cool, but they don't need to take priority over gameplay. I'll take lower graphics if it means the map is better balanced.
-
This Tome is actually giving less fragments than the others so you have to grind more to reach tier 70 in the Rift. It worries me a bit because I’m scared that BHVR will continue this for future Tomes/Rifts until it’s so grindy that buying tiers is almost required. The next Rift the last one that I’m planning on buying because it’s connected to Hallowed Blight (some of the leaked cosmetics sound BADASS). Everything after that is up to how BHVR handles the fragments.
