Its either a problem on market - developers applying to bhvr, or they have made an bad business decision for giving Patrick a role of lead game designer.
I and many more have the same opinion, that his vision is not inline with dbd.

There are ways to counter Iron Will. For example: Phase in short bursts, they start walking and you'll get a free hit.
Moving at super saiyajin speed while also detecting anyone who is nearby has no counter in my book and it also removes one skillful part of Spirit, which is tracking. It's basically a "turn off your brain" combo.
Add a new chapter to your book then

The only nerf they need are Add-on nerfs.
Spirit's Mother Daughter Ring and Dried Cherry Blossom need changes/nerfs.
Blight's Alchemist Ring, Blighted Crow/Rat and Compound 33 need a nerf.
Nurse's recharge and range Add-ons need changes.
really spirit?
Why was there no argument: Hey, Iron Will and 100% noise reduction is way too OP counter to spirit, now, its suddenly a problem when you have a counter to a counter?

No thanks I don't want to give him views. Guess it's the usual hooks or looping the killer is "skills" even if you never get kills or you and your teammates constantly fail to escape. But then you are still doing something wrong and should not gain MMR anyway even if you are so "skilled".
The only real way to judge if a killer is good at killing is by the number of kills. And the only good way to see if a survivor is good or not is to see how many survivors escapes during that players games. The rest of the things hooks, escaping chases etc should give you smaller bonus MMR points perhaps but they only tell a small part of how well you do anyway.
All I see is either complaints about camping killers that they can't be good, although you need to end chases fast to be a good camper. Or that a survivor can survive by hiding in a locker, but you will never reach high MMR if you hide all games it does not work like that you will get yourself and your team killed by playing that way.
No not really. In so called high mmr and where you go against sweaty teams you will never achieve 4K without tunneling.
Where the map is survivor sided, where BNPs are involved or lets generalize it with sweaty builds, it will be even harder to achieve 4K.
MMR based on escapes and kills is not and will never be representing playerbase skills.
Boosted bubbas and claudettes will be equally punished in high mmr, as somebody, who is doing massive pressure or can loop killer for gens.
Okay, lets hypothetically agree that running around tile in circle before dropping pallet doesnt take much skill, as you need mostly experiance predicting which circle will be last before lunge gets you.
But is something that makes doing gens safe - Distraction

Playing "fair" getting 0 kills is probably not anything a killer should be happy about, or get points for? Should the entity be happy with a killer who can't kill? I think it's fair that a killer should be judged on number of kills, not hooks or how many pallets was kicked etc.
No.
Have a look at scott junds videp
regarding MMR as it clarifies all i was trying to say. No need for me, to create an essay
-
what if… throw flashbang from distance + 2 flashbangs itself. With tactical vest as new item = 4 FB
-
Twins are both fun and boring. Boring is mostly because all the swap between and mechanics.
Viktor is most valuable as sonar. So eg:
Place Viktor next to hex devour hope and protect it all cost. Once they start to cleanse = pounce
Then play her as typical m1 killer.
Also the sonar is amazing to monitor hooks and slugs.
Slugging is quite mostly effective thing to do aswell.
So it comes back to the limbo. You have to play incredibly dirty and boring match

soon

Only problem I see with boons that combines into coh/ss
Beside indoor maps.
Look at MacMillan or Badham.
Either in tower or badham basement you can setup a boon.
It has a pretty much safe spot where it is blessed and it provides amazing healing ground.
From killers perspective, if you go up there, It will take you ages, not to mention even breakable doors at coal tower. Before you snuff everybody will heal, survivor will scatter, and in the next minute boon will be relit.
Yeah, 1 survivor will be blessing it again, but lets be honest, it will not waste any amount of time, since scattered survivors can do gens and one will or might be lucky winner with the chase.
combine badham with shadowstep and IW and it can be really awful scenario. Not to mention that shadowstep hides even auras so information perks/myers vanity/scratched becomes useless.
And what can killer do about it? Tunnel out Mikaela

What the hell did I just read? Hockey has a ton of statistics that track individual performance every game, regardless of if you win or lose. Hockey is also a balanced game with equal players that have the same goals. DBD is an asymmetrical game with two sides that have vastly different goals.
Even the example they used to try to explain it shows how they don't understand skill in their own video game. And they had time to think of an answer to this pre-determined question.. then oof.
I just quoted Patricks words from the stream yday, with addition to bench guy
-
@Pukenplag said:
JRM is an example of a very bad player, right? He basically never escapes, therefore the fact that he can be chased for like 3 minutes isn't an indication of skill.
Right on point. He is just bad at the game - Patrick
-
It is like the hockey.
If killer has a lot of shots (hooks) it doesnt mean that he is skilled. Only goals (kills count).
On the other side, if you as a survivor sit and warm a bench, and your team opens you exit gates and you manage to go out. You are equally skilled as them, just more as a observing ninja
-
Patrick - Lead game designer approved tunneling, slugging. And SBMM works as intended

Old CoH (100% healing speed buff)
8 seconds to heal others and 10 seconds with mangled
16 seconds to heal self and 20 with mangled
New CoH(75% healing speed buff)
9.14 seconds to heal others and 11.43 seconds with mangled
18.28 seconds to heal self and 22.86 seconds with mangled
Self care still is 32 seconds to heal self and 40 seconds mangled
Also add medkit with addons into equation
-
I find patricks mmr explanation quite wrongly.
MMR should be calculated depending on ur effort in the game. Chases, hooks, gens, healing, chase escapes, flashlight/pallet saves, etc…
So you either have to hook a guy 3 times to gain some.
Or you can stay in a locker until exit gates are opened.
A good killer is so called punished for multiple hooks and effort and hiding survivor is rewarded for literally being useless whole match. And someguy sweating all gens and chases to die at the end is punished aswell.
As they said, it would be an endless paradox that way, where everybody would be high mmr at the end. I doubt it. There it would be balanced out.
tldr; Patrick clearly said, if you play the game for mmr. As killer try to tunnel out and play dirty. As survivor sweat gens asap and escape.

I can't speak to the quality of the mobile version.
Though, aren't they different teams? My understanding is that the mobile version doesn't have any actively new content, they just translate killers, survivors, etc from the full game. So, that team probably has the time to develop a basic practice mode, and the regular team doesn't.
Yes. Knowledge transfer. I think nobody needs Team Oracle SWF bots a like. You cannot predict that bot will loop you somewhere around where you would try to slap nemesis.
I think 4 babies as from tutorial would be sufficient and people are creative enough to find the way to learn m2 the way they want
-
@jesterkind said:
The explanation given in the QnA was fairly reasonable- it'd be a constantly ongoing effort, since the survivor bots would have to know how to react to every killer power + perk + addon, and would have to know how to use every survivor item + potentially perk. The killer bot would have to know how to use every killer power in the game, and would have to know how to react to certain survivor perks too.
I would like to see it, but I understand why it'd take some time and would be shelved as low priority for a bit.
but. Mobile version has it

You mean by changing resolution in settings?

@dugman said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2761184#Comment_2761184
Keep in mind, the devs have mentioned in the past they consider Stretch Res to see over obstacles be cheating, so it's quite possible they're reluctant to talk about it one way or another as they mentioned in the stream when answering a question about cheating in general. They specifically avoid talking about particular cheats one way or another because, if they ever do implement something to mitigate it, they don't want to give cheaters additional ammunition.
true. But its not via injecting code/editing memory. Its more of a dbd setting which is obvious :D

@GentlemanFridge said:
The whole comparison he made with sports falls apart the moment a facecamping leatherface is considered. He has to do literally nothing but win 1 chase to confirm a kill. Imagine a football player kicking the ball once and being guaranteed a goal, and then being told he's good, while the opposing team gets told they lost the entire game when they lost control of the ball for a second.
I agree.
His hockey should be more:
Killer:
Takedown = shot on goal
Hook/Mori = Scoring a goal
Survivor:
Healing / Looping / Gens + escape = gaining some mmr
It is honestly a double standard.
Perhaps the SBMM does work. But then again, mmr fluctuates in spikes.
mmr is not skill.
Skillwise I dont think matches are actually balanced
-
@Peanits Im suprised that even regarding high upvotes, you did not pick the hot topic. Stretched res
-
Stretch res despite upvotes was not mentioned.
DH is going to be reworked (soon tm)
Apperantly they will have a look at AR aswell
Boons unchanged. CoH down to 75%
Patrick confirmed that playing ugly and tunneling is kinda “secured” way to gain MMR. So playing fair and getting 8hooks 0K = negative mmr
Not sure either regarding BT becoming base kit

I started playing killer again recently and the amount of times I won just due to Ruin, Undying, and Devour is disgusting. Using Dead Hard as a survivor doesn't automatically win games for you but those hex perks can completely win a game for a killer.
It is in that particular MMR, where survivors dont know what hex totems are. Quite bizarre that they are up for more then a minute.

Nerf dead hard (which I agree with) and you will see sprint burst and lithe be used more. They will get asked to be nerfed to if this happened
Definetly, just look at forums. Everybody finds something to nerf.
But it is still going to easier to counter SB/Lithe then DH itself :)

I get what you're saying but it still doesn't change the fact that it's a broken perk that requires no skill to use and tilts the balance even more in favour of survivors.
bhvr knows that…see any changes? values of coh, multi level boons, dh ds iw more or less 90% of games…
if they would care they would nerf. But they dont, its obvious
-
nerfed DH will most likely favor in increase of kill rate, while some are warning that be aware how sprint burst will be meta, even worse them DH. But okay.
Nerfes DH = even more killer nerfs
so most likely never

Reporting in game is mandatory for any kind of offense, as it flags the match, however for hacking you need also video evidence and you need to open a ticket on the Support website: https://support.deadbydaylight.com/hc/en-us/requests/new
Exploits:
Report this player for exploiting bugs, errors in design, or cheats to obtain a competative advantage.
Regarding “cheats” what is then this ingame functionality.
By reporting you get players and lobby id. No server logs that provide data - transmitted JSONs of where the data can be visibly seen.
So this functionality you can confirm that does not work as intended. That I need to record a cheater in action so somebody can see and decide before doing a ban?

Regarding flicks. If you mean shoulder flick - rush on top of survivor and attack in the direction they face.
If you mean flick for 90 degree around corner, stick to side and m1 and hold stick for drag.
The secret is to have attack straight away instead going into lunge

My guess is b/c they were on a timetable to release a different MMR system. The devs couldn't make a real SBMM work in time and just said ######### it, kills/escapes only plus time in game. As a side note, I won't call it SBMM b/c it isn't skill based.
they said somewhere.
mmr is what sbmm is comparing. No matches = extend mmr range.
Somebody dodges aka backfiller = ignores mmr
in game hours are not taken into the account anyhow

@The_C12H15NO2 said:
It could be b/c of survivor que times. The longer they wait, the MMR range gets larger to try to get them into a game.

dodges the lobby, then it will just pick the first killer in queue.
So yes. In the state as the sbmm is, I have no idea why it left ptb
