The thing i hate most about tombstone piece (and to a extent myers himself)

This is partially in response to the thread being bumped. But also it made me remember a match yesterday and i think like 2 weeks ago. It's a myers so pretty normal and im on a gen and little did i know (i had heard the tier 2 sound but he was chasing another survivor at the time) the myers comes around with a 99d tier 3 and proceeds to instantly kill me. No chase no slow stalk to prevent it and little input from me myself. This happens a lot with myers in general. He gets all the stalk from the teammate who can't seem to know how los blocking works. And i get the short end of the stick when it comes around to it, At least ghostface i have say in the matter. This happen commonly to anyone else? (Myers getting 99 stalk coming around with like dead rabbit+M and A and oneshotting you before you even move two feet). I am by no means saying myers is op (i know hes not he's in my opinion the weakest killer) it just feels so annoying when it happens. Tombstone piece just shows it further with a myers with 99d tier 3 from like 2 teammates instantly killing you.

  • I guess we should nerf it

  • This is why you need to only play with a 4 man swf

Why do you guys always want to nerf everything that is slightly different or out of the norm? If this continues in the end every killer would just be M1 with some slight flavor thrown in on the side. Killers SHOULD be different and sometimes surprise you.

No, this is just a sarcasm

Man, you just know that if Myers had been introduced nowadays, that feature would have stayed. "More information on what the killer is doing" has definitely become a dominant design philosophy.

That said, I can't fault anyone for having an issue with Tombstone Piece. Judith's is fair, the effective combo requires 3 survivors to be stalked fully and if the other three survivors were derpy enough to feed him, you weren't winning that game anyway, but Tombstone Piece lets Myers delete the second player he finds (or the third instantly if the first two fed him), and that isn't remotely interactive gameplay. I've got no issue with 99ing in and of itself, though - Myers struggles terribly without that feature, because he's an M1 killer and can easily be looped out of the entire duration of his power if there's enough map resources. And it's no different from Oni getting Blood Fury off another teammate and running over to bonk you, or Plague getting Corrupt Purge in the middle of your chase because some doofus touched a sick gen and immediately cleansed.

I realize the comment was a jest but that reply is spot on.

The scenario given by the OP is a failure of team mates to deny Myers stalk. Another team mate may get the short end of the stick with this but its still the fault of the survivor team.

It can also hurt Myers in the long run because when you kill someone you haven't stalked with tombstone piece it eats a lot of available stalk for future Tier3. Without the Tier 3 he is just an M1 killer. Yes 3 on 1 is far better than 4 on 1 but if you can deny his power its still winnable.

So the argument always goes people don't know how to play around this particular power/addon/perk and someone else gets eliminated because of it, I'm annoyed by this so nerf it that way we don't have to ever change up how we play.

Because needing to do anything different, having to be cautious, observant or react to killer powers is somehow frustrating and unfun, but running around the same rock 4 times and dropping a pallet then running to the next rock/pallet to repeat the process is somehow the pinnacle of survivor fun, and in no way repetitive or dull gameplay, and should work for every killer no matter what powers perks or addons they have.

Tombstone piece is fine it makes the game thrilling and requires survivors to be mindful of LOS and observant of their surroundings.

They should at least bring it back for the Tombstone add-ons IMO.
