I lowkey need the extension to try and level all my killers. I have 2 at level 30 and one at level 40. And who is to say I will get my perks by 50 anyways? An extra week should suffice, but we shall see... The day queue for killers is oppressive. At night, they are basically instant.

For me the queue times are horrible, even for killers. And I'm in EU, so much players from there.

Hope you get your perks though :D

Thank you just entered the codes...where did you find them?

  • Why not make a whole new charity pack for the ALS research, including skins and some charms?

Maybe put in legacy outfits for everyone (but as an expensive deal).

  • It isn't entitlement to demand a game to be running at least somewhat without real issues. Sure, bugs happen here and there, that's part of the process of development of a game. But you can't put off people their argument as "entitlement" when you yourself (through your hard work, your own words (like other people don't work hard...)) have a almost 5k machine running this game.

Not everyone has the money to buy such a beast of a machine you have. Others just like playing on console. Not everyone has the abilitiy to buy a new console when they're not even in stock.

The game was running somewhat fine BEFORE the RE chapter dropped. After that it's a complete sh*tshow. It's not entitlement for people to ask the devs, who have no problem taking your money for their chapters/skins/rift pass, to have a working game. It's just not.

I dunno, I feel like Claudettes are the most hated even though she is the best, most wonderful Queen. I’ve had killers tunnel and camp me just because I played her even though I never t-bag or play toxic in any way (unless they were toxic first). I would ask why they did so and their answer is because I’m Claudette.

When playing killer, I’ve never really had many toxic Megs to hate, the toxic ones are usually Yui, Yun-Jin Or Fen-poop.

Most of the times the toxic ones (when playing killer) are the nea ones. It makes it worse when they run that ugly skin with some sort of cape and gasmask.

  • Yes, it does feel good. Especially when you got those points off others their cakes 🤑😇😈

  • In the evening they are quite long now too since the event started

Second match ever playing Nemesis, and all I get are survivors flashlight clicking and teabagging, and naturally everyone escapes. What a great learning tool. 😕

Maybe you could level up Hillbilly for lightborn (level 35). You also get Enduring at level 30, which is also a good perk. Then with lightborn you can't be blinded anymore.

I get this very often. It really does wind me up. I might be the most irritated person by it on this forum. It's been affecting me more than i want to admit...

I dont have any really good advice, but if people teabag at exit gates just hit them for the bloodpoints. It makes them look stupid, they are giving you currency to make your character stronger :)

I don't know if you want any tips, but for me (when I started) I just played for the BP to progress further into the bloodwebs. I didn't expect kills or anything. Later I got better and then I started to try more.

You get a good amount of BP with chasing and hitting alone, breaking pallets and so on.

But I have to say, sometimes the teabags that some do while totally unnecessary (when I play fair) got to me too. But I just nod to that survivor and move on.

  • Sometimes you get matches that really suck. Best thing is to take just as much BP you can and then move on.

And what I intend to do, I just ignore most of the flashlight clicky clicky, because they can't stand that you don't chase them when they do that.

  • @Dweet_Unfairfield said:

As Killer i get nothing but toolboxes, keys and bnp. If they don't bring a strode key i still get haddonfield, red forest or rpd.

As survivor i get nothing but tryhards with moris who slug, tunnel, camp etc and get carried by regression perks.

Events bring out the worst in this community and its gross seeing people intentionally bully newer players. Or try to ruin the event for others.

Also the bugs and lag are gross. Especially for our console brothers and sisters.

I agree that some people are being the worst they can be during events. But speaking for myself, I'm not that way. I try to give people their crowns and a lot of points when they burn cakes.

  • Depends on the time of the day I feel. In the early morning I have to wait a long time to get a lobby as killer, and when I do it's with all kind of ranks, even red ranks (Í'm a rank 17 killer...).

For me that stays that way until the evening, then I get some more balanced survivors in my killer games.

But when I play solo q (rank 16), I get normal teammates from my rank width, with the occasionaly green in.

  • A bloodpoint for each crown would be nice, so we got like 3 million now, so 3 milion BP.

Yes, it's wishful thinking. They would never do something like that.

Epicer Idea: You know those 2 sets of 5 charms each rift, pictured below (best picture I could find so just ignore the meme part of it)

    https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/3IH9W30F60UF/image.png

What if, the Empty Gaps were just filled with MORE recolors of the same charm!?!?!? We could have a green one, and a blue one. Trust me, I know this, these are the fan favorite charms so if anything I think I'm being too generous with this idea.

I don't know if I should laugh or cry about those recolor "awards" :/

I will take 5k BP for each dumb recolor of a charm I won't use. This is just sad.

Partially correct. no spouse, but kids, and currently working on Contractual work awaiting my next job/payday. I had a fun week without work, and spending time with the kids before the event started, but I rarely go more than a week without my next contract job. I get paid 500 per day for testing and fixing cell towers, sometimes this takes a week or 2, other times it only takes a few days. Either way, I'm flown around the US to deal with them, and make a pretty damn decent income. Plus, I can bring my laptop and game in DbD when not on the job in my hotel room, so I have lots of time away from the kids... which is honestly rather depressing.

Still, the time I do have with them is cherished and not spent playing games. There's a good reason why I've owned this game since 2016 and yet only just broke over 2k hours in it. This summer has been a different story, lots of work, not much time at home. On Avg, since the event Started I've been playing maybe 5-6 hours a night, as I don't have much else to do while waiting for parts or technicians to arrive to help me fix the problems.

Just know that if I ever kick your ass in a trial, you're facing a man fixing your cell phones signal, but sacrificing time he has with his kids, while 100's of miles away from them... Basically, if I kill you, do me a favor and don't ######### about it!

But you provide your kids with good money for their study and stuff, so that's worth much too imo. It sucks you are away from your kids often, but I don't see that as a huge problem, since you can provide them with a good future.

Hey, I kinda thought this would be a fun idea, so here we are! I'll go first.

I think I went on Haddonfield 3 times today, two times as Blight and once as survivor. Might've lost count.

Yesterday I got 2 (with no offering).

The day before I got 3 Haddonfield in a row, really fun... (not).

  • @AetherBytes said:

Survivor cakes are surprisingly rare, could be that.

That too. I wish they would up the chances of event items or offerings in bloodwebs for survivors too, since its a chance of 1 to 4 to get a cake. On killer it's just cakes.

  • I don't burn mine because the performance on ps4 is just trash at the moment. I don't want to risk my game end quickly because I get a freeze that gives the killer free hits (as survivor).

As killer I don't burn them too since I get genrushed like 45% in my games or the game just decides to freeze at the most unwelcomed moments.

However, as killer I just let people get their points while I leech off others their cakes. I don't care if they live or not. I play normally but will be relaxed when people are on death hook so they can get their 5k escape points (and possibly their crowns, since I know how it sucks for survivors to get them sometimes).

  • @EntitySpawn said:

I done this into Escaping, I had a very unpleasant message afterwards lol

Some people send you unpleasant messages regardless in this game

  • Why you bring the faces up then, since they are different teams?

  • @Wavy said:

Its way too weak right now. There are a lot of tunneler killers right now thanks to DS nerf. Especially DS cant do anything against top tier killers and stealth killers. If you DS a Nurse, Blight or Spirit they will just catch up to you and there is nothing you can do about it.

DS's Stun duration needs a buff I think. It should be increased to 6-7 seconds

I don't agree with the hardcore tunneling that some killers do (although they can play the game how they see fit, since they paid for it). But you have to agree that 90% of the people that run DS, abused the sh*t out of it with the 60 seconds you-can't-touch-me card. Since the nerf, I don't see DS not that often anymore. Maybe one per game/two games. Before it was almost on every survivor.

I can see them maybe buff it slightly to make it maybe a 2 time use, before the EGC is activated. That way you can punish tunnel killers, but not punish people who play fair and square.

  • No. As long as most people are stuck on PS4 or the Xbox variant of the ps4 because you can't upgrade because of the stock issues, they should do everything in their power to make the game playable on ps4.

If like 90% of the people are on next gen consoles, then maybe. But only with a notice WAY before they stop supporting the ps4 and xbox.

  • I think it's in a good place now. You can't abuse it anymore like you used to, so that change is really good.

Maybe they can make it a two time use perk now, but maybe that would be too strong. Then it would be a true anti-tunnel perk. But maybe that would be too strong during EGC, since people tend to camp more because the game is over anyway. I don't know about a two time use yet.

  • Get well soon, panic attacks suck :/

  • Performance wise the chapter is complete trash. But having played Nemesis on my friend her account, the killer itself is quite fun imo.

Huh? I got free shards today myself. But yeah, I feel like the stream implied the shrine thing was only for a week, I might have misunderstood, though.

We only get a total of 9000 shards this event. So as of today, we don't get anything anymore.

  • I couldn't find where they said the whole event, so I was bit surprised I saw 4 new perks for 1500 shards.

And because yesterday was the last day we got free shards, I assumed 1+1=2 😅

Imagine the chaos it would be if Warzone froze constantly at consoles for 1 month and a half. But considering how people are delusional on this forum someone will probably say we need to upgrade to a PS5/Series to run a 5 player game with mediocre graphics. Embarrassing.

BuT BhVr Is A sMaLl InDiE DeV TeAm.

  • I just want a playable game on console. Couldn't care less with a new killer as long as the game is trash on console with all the freezes.

  • I'm not using them because the game is running like trash on ps4. But when I play killer, I will get survivors their 5k escape bonus.

I really need to make test on My Brother laptop with R5 4600H with GTX 1650 with 16 GB of ram

I think you might be able to play the game, but with low settings. My household PC is an i5 with the same graphics card and RAM, and higher than low I can't play on it before I see that the PC has trouble running the game.

But your brother has a laptop, don't know if that makes a great difference?

  • 75 pages of a thread and still no reply from an official dev. Yeah, let that sink in.

They don't care about console, they made that clear to me.

Personally, i don't see that it will get much better with the next mid-chapter patch and/or the new killer patch. Sad, I truly love this game but I don't think I can put up with it anymore after the event ends.

Hopefully the new content from RDR2 is out by then, so I can give that a try and see how optimized that game is running on ps4 without risking my console to die from overheat.

  • Farming is not against the rules, as long as you don't force people into farming.

If you want to let everyone go for their crowns, that's totally fine imo. They also contribute towards the community goal of 500k crowns (and then we get 2 charms).

  • Ikr... I hold on my cakes for now. Not risking my cakes when the game could hard freeze or just simply crash...

  • @Razorbeam said:

The current state of issues on console can no longer be minimized by labeling them as "fps drops". These are game breaking issues that makes attempting to enjoy your product or even participate competitively a massive waste of time rendering it officially broken.

What really bothers me is consoles are one uniform spec of hardware, there is no way you had no idea this was going to happen with the release of the RE chapter patch unless you did not at any point play test the product on console before rolling out the update and then accepting money for the chapter from your entire console community knowing full well you was breaking the product which was only just hanging in there at 45fps, but workable.

When updates break on PC you have a million untested hardware configurations that could create problems, issues are expected, consoles do not have that problem, you had 5/6 preset uniform machines to test it on, all of which are suffering the exact same issue, did you not test it or did you just release it anyway to cash in at our expense ?.

To not have had the issue acknowledged for how game breaking it is and be given a proper apology/compensation is genuinely awful on your part. Coming back to the game from playing for the first year of PC launch I was very happy to see BHV as a company had blown up with success from the game and I'm very sad to see the weekly base touching indie dev team appears to be choosing the path of EA/Actiblizzard.

The BHV I remember would never have drowned the biggest thread in the history of your forums regarding performance in total radio silence, a real shame.

Here's just a few clips from this evening testing out post patch:

Playstation share smooths out the stutter a bit and makes it look more like lag than it stuttering, I guess it's from the hard drive choking when it happens, needless to say the game is no longer about skill but simply coin flips. For the record the footage was taken on a ps pro set to 1080p on a tv set to gaming mode.

Glad I bought all the killers in anticipation for the event...

    Rant over, peace.

I want to compliment you with this post. Well said!

  • I will 100% test the stuff out if they made PTB for consoles.

Maybe combine it with PC PTB too, make a few changes, test them out in an ongoing PTB.

I believe Rust and H1Z1 in the past had 2 different games: an test branch and an real game branch. And so what that it costs them money. I want a good game to play, that's my right as a paying costumer. I think it's possible they make more money in the long run when they test changes to perks more often than in a mid-chapter ptb.

  • I don't blame you.

I wish you all the best in the future :)

  • Where is my 300k BP compensation for the next week I can't play the new map?!?

  • And they still don't want to dedicate a chapter to game health, lol.

If it's time to do something, it really is now. The game runs as hot garbage on my console (hot in the sense it turns up the fans real bad).

  • @APoipleTurtle said:

I really hope we'll get literally any form of game performance improvement within the next week or so. I just want to finish the dang Rift before it ends for that Bill outfit, but it feels generous to even pretend that DbD is playable right now (20 tiers to go, but it feels more like 20 tears with how awful it is).

I'm already planning to just skip the 5th Anniversary Event if things are still this bad by the end of June.

They talked about their "4 Pillars" during the 5th year livestream, but I don't think they actually have 4 of them.

Game Health is not a pillar; it's the foundation upon which the other pillars stand.

Or take a break AFTER the event, so you can stock up on cakes for when you return. But I can see why you want to skip the event.

Personally I just gave up that there is any sort of optimisation. I just play for the rift xp and the BP and then just move on to the next round. We'll see when and if they ever make this game better on console.

  • No, not for me. WAY to overpriced imo. But to each their own, of course :)

  • I feel it's really map depending on wheter there are flashes almost every second or not.

On the dark maps I get them a lot, on the bright maps I don't get them as much as the dark ones (they're still there, but maybe they're less noticable?)

  • Didn't they had that in the past already?

  • Or why not both, info and double BP.

  • @bm33 said:

I feel like it happens around freezes. Before the hotfix they were nearly at same time so not as noticeable but now seems like the flashes are happening more while you aren't freezing so they stand out more. For me they are more frequent when playing against Nemesis.

I played against a nurse on groaning storehouse. Every other second there was a flash :/

  • Tbh, they should just release the event for now and make it a month as compensation for the trash they released with the chapter and now the hotfix. The hotfix made the game even worse to play for me personally.

  • Yeah, the hotfix made it for me (personally) even more unplayable. How can this stuff even happen?

At this point, I will gladly test their game on my ps4 FOR FREE before an update releases. I don't want anything for it, I want a game that is good to play.

  • Okay, played a match as survivor and as killer. I didn't notice that much stuttering, but then the killer didn't have any perks and I was on a hook when the last gen popped.

As killer I didn't get much stuttering.

BUT MY GOD! STOP THE DAMN FLASHING!!!

The game is now worse then before with all the flashing of rendering and unrendering stuff. That was made 100x worse then before. I'm gonna fear to even play now, since I get really bad headaches from too much flashing lights (that's why I don't like to face a doctor and will just play for points and nothing more, sorry team).

I think I now have to put away the game for the next hotfix, because this is costing me my health :/
