I never even realized it but there is a thing going around that Leatherface being able to put claudettes face on is a problem for obvious reasons.
I never looked at it that way. It surprised me but it makes sense I guess. What are the thoughts on this?
I don't see the problem with Bubba wearing Claudette's face. If they haven't seen the movie, I would recommend that they go watch it because Bubba doesn't care who you are and what your race is because he's WEARS THE FACES of his victims. It's just in his character so why wouldn't he wear Claudette's face? Race hasn't nothing to do with this

I was going for adept Felix against a Freddy. I wasn't spotted the entire game (I did 2 gens but was being stealthy).
I find an exit gate which is being opened by a Kate. Might as well hide in this locker til it's open. Bad idea. Freddy approaches, kate b lines for my locker, half opens it (ugh), and flees. I try to exit to take 1 hit but get carried to a hook.
Kate then swoops in to save without BT and im downed again. This Freddy felt so bad for me, the guy he hadn't seen all match getting 2 hooked in 30 seconds, that he carries me to the exit.
Adept felix! Except my screenshot of glory is just me crawling for my life while Fred hangs out and nods approvingly. I couldn't really tell if kate sandbagged me on purpose, because this was solo queue. But eh let's assume YES!
I give props to this Freddy. I would've done the same thing

I am asking this because I see how hard it is for the devs to come up with new ideas for perks each chapter. The perks just get worse and worse each chapter. Perks gets more difficult to balance and more perks mean a bigger mess. I've been noticing that it gets more difficult to fix the mess each new chapter when the perks come out.
What if the devs would stop making more perks for a temporary time to test and see if it would be good for the health of the game?
THINK ABOUT THESE THINGS BEFORE YOU GIVE YOUR THOUGHTS!
Do you think that this may be a better and more efficient way to fix the clutter? How would this affect the health of the game?
You need new content to keep the game interesting. I'm all down for them taking a chapter and completely making an overhaul to perks/killers to balance it out but they need new content so that DBD will stay interesting for those who bought it. I'm looking forward to using the new perks because I've got some perk builds I want to try out

Yes, there are for older maps. But after a patch they stopped showing up on the bloodweb and new maps after that don't get them anymore.
Ahhh I see

Wait there are brown and yellow map offerings? Since when?! I only ever see the green offerings but I understand what you're saying.

One of the things that piss me off the most in this game is the survivors that take the game hostage to ignore the main objective (generators) to hide out for the hatch. Literally the game I just had -
I was Legion and stomping this team (probably solo's). I actually let them finish 1 gen when the Meg suicided on hook, after I got 5 hooks without them even finishing 1 gen. I took out the Dwight. Then it was just Jeff and David left. They had 2 gens on the map nearly complete. I pop'd one, and then started to roam for where the Jeff and David were. I found David on the third gen over from the 2 nearly complete gens (I guess he just didn't know he was directly next to two nearly complete gens - solo's). However I havn't seen the Jeff in a hot minute, so instead of downing David. I used my power and ran for the center of the map. That's when I started to see that Jeff was in the basement, so I went down, downed Jeff, and hooked him. Then gave hatch to David for actually trying to do the objective.
I get a good laugh out of players that fail at hiding out for hatch, and it makes me feel good that with some characters I can at least punish survivors for trying to take the game hostage - at the same time rewarding players for actually playing the game right. They were all console players too, so I didn't get to tell the David thanks, but I'm sure he is at least content that he was at least able to get the Hatch.
Immersed Solo players are the worse. I mean don't get me wrong I can see your trying to up your stealth to stay alive but the least they could do is at least try to get the objective done. Another game, I had 3 Claudettes (Blendettes) and a Dwight. So I killed 2 of the Claudettes and the other Claudette was literally doing nothing but crouching around the outside of the map because I've only ever seen the Dwight running off gens when he saw me coming so I decided to slug him and everytime the Claudette would pick him up and then go right back into hiding. So I decided to let the Dwight work on gens (Mind you that they were still 4 gens left) and went looking for the Claudette. I finally found her when she crouched in the basement for the chest so I downed her and hooked her. I gave the Dwight the hatch since he was the only one doing the objective

It has been already too tedious to unlock all the Survivor or Killer perks on a single character, while at the same time trying to get P3 which is nothing but some bloody cosmetics not even worth the 800'000+ Bloodpoints a prestiege level - a year ago, but now with new chapters coming out so quickly. It has become even more tedious, and even more of a waste of bloodpoints to level characters. The Archives has been a nice pick up, and so has the events that we more often have now - as well as rewards for contribution/matience/social media . Though even with those we are still finding that getting bloodpoints to level the characters we want to be too strenuous.
I think it's time, or in the near future - for another Bloodweb rework.
I think it could be easily solved with a simple solution. Just remove Prestiege Levels. You get the bloody outfit for a character when you level them to level 50 the first time. Though that doesn't solve the problem of how fast you can unlock all the perks on a character. I also advise that you stop the entity from taking other perks from the bloodweb when you consume a perk. So you have at least a chance to consume 3-4 perks on a single page. Another good idea is reduce the amount of nodes on a single page, so you can complete a page faster and get to consume more perk nodes faster.
Any other ideas?
I would love to see some kind of rework to the bloodweb. Literally spent over 200,000 bloodpoints just to find Tier 1 of the perk that I wanted, I was really disappointed. Sometimes I feel the grind takes the fun out of the game
-
Don't see the point for it. At least with broken keys we're still able to use it for aura readings. You want a flashlight that doesn't blind but still clicks? Are you trying to seem like you want more BM in the game? To me it seems like that's what this post is about

I honestly think they should make it where the highest rank be where they should start in search for a killer. So that Rank 4 can't invite other people who are Rank 20 and face baby killers just so they can have an easy win. It should start the search at Red Rank killers and the longer they wait the more it expands but that's just my opinion

These are already in the rift though
Not really the type of challenges I was explaining. These types of daily challenges would give you a chance to try some other perks as well as giving you bloodpoints. In the archives you have to do certain things with the perk equipped but these daily challenges all you have to do equip the perk and I'm pretty sure situations will occur and you'll be able to use the perk and have a feel for the perk before adding it to your perk build
That's what I was trying to explain

why add new killers when you havent even nerfed them ive seen people play doctor and blight and they can just constantly spam their ability with no cooldown other than the syringe injection and then infinitely run at me and break pallets with their ability and im getting really irritated because people say the game is survivor sided when stuff like this is added
no attention before a new killer is added its just new killer no nerf new killer no nerf
Their stronger secondary powers have cool downs (refresh tokens for the Blighted Rush)
You got to get in to the mind of the killer, Play some Blight or Doctor and you'll see that they don't need nerfs because they're not that overpowered to begin with

Every game has it's toxic side of the community. It's up to you whether to ignore it or give in to it, seems like you gave in to it after putting 4000 hard earned hours into the game. What finally did you in if I may ask?

People run what they want to run. Disabling perks would make that unenjoyable for those people. Maybe make daily challenges to try out certain perk combos? Would love to see that and they would get free bloodpoints for just trying it out, I feel like that would be the only way for them to change the meta. Probably

Not all SWF are toxic. Me and my friends when we play together love to meme each other especially when we're getting chased. We love making it our goals to get the other ones caught, I'm not sure if the killer found that toxic but we usually have fun

So I just had the pleasure of playing with a sandbagging nea who literally sat and tbagged a person on the hook until he died for no reason. Then when I did the same to her, but the dwight who was playing thought I was the person who was being toxic like that and did the same thing to me (although I could kind of understand why). Now that nea is going to ruin everyone's fun and she will get away with this. Also, everyone else was console so I couldn't even ask her why or explain to the others what happened.
I really hope this is a one time occurrence because that is really sucky dude.
Best part is that I will report her for this and nothing will happen.
Tell me if this has happened to you, or if I was just really unlucky. On average at any point in the day, a survivor will spend about 4 minutes to queue for a lobby, longer if in a SWF. This was just really lame and I am upset that this will just go unnoticed.
I got a game where this Laurie would come to me while I was looping and throw pallets in front of me and then would act like she was taking me off the hook but would let go last second. The worst part is when I got to struggle she kept spamming the rescue button so my Survivor would scream and she kept doing that until someone else finally rescued me. No need to worry I did the same thing to her and the killer nodded his head while I was doing this. You get what you deserve

Be cool to tie Devotion Rank to unlocking cosmetics/earning even more BPs. Be something else we can be excited to progress towards.

I'd like that too but they want to keep it from being boring I guess but variations are annoying as hell on some maps especially
Definitely see them trying to avoid that. To me it would make for more fair gameplay on both sides since most killers play both sides they can memorize where pallets are and which windows are open rather than great that God window is open and having no counterplay towards loops
-
@Ramxenoc445 said:
Think we should just have like 3 variations of the same map for each map and they be set in stone and not be RNG based on how things spawn. I think the game's balance could go way further and the game be more fun for both sides when you know for sure what tiles and objects have spawned versus having to guess or hope certain things have or have not spawned.
I assume it'd help with perk balance to some degree as well but not too sure. Though I can say not running meta perks while playing solo is nightmarish. As fun as this game is if you're not SWF you can give up using anything that isn't DS Adrenaline DH and whatever your last perk is because you can be unfortunate to get a camping or tunneling killer and if you don't have those few perks you die for free and you can also just get other survivors that do nothing out of fear or stupidity and play immersed and still get caught and die in the end because they probably can't loop either.
As for playing killer its about the same you can't ever just have fun with some niche perks because you get gen rushed depending on the killer because you naturally can't create the pressure needed. You can't win games without either potato survivors or using some form of generator slow perk, maybe something for healing speed and then a perk for chasing or a perk for finding them. Typically we all just use ruin plus corrupt or undying these days. The game's balance shouldn't be focused on these select perks for either side. The map balance needs to be better or the perk balance needs to get better its honestly a bit pathetic that so few perks in this game are actually viable. All of these new perks we get for synergy are usually average at best and still are nowhere near as useful as the survivors ones listed not including the builds around Soul guard which still only help the top survivors and then the killer builds that use either BBQ or Thrilling tremors to find survivors and then ruin with undying and whatever your last perk be. These things need to change as great as this game is its extremely nerve wrecking to always have to use meta if you wanna get anywhere without playing with some friends
They shouldn't make maps based on RNG. Just make one default map and leave it at that, so that it'll be easier to memorize where everything and not be confused saying "it was there last time" but that's just me
-

All those people saying “I play solo red ranks and I survive 70% of the time! 80% of the time!”
Yeah no. About a 20% of the time sounds legit. They’re basically lying.
I’d say just go with the meta, but the main points are learn the map and how to properly loop each different spot.
But the meta is boring. I rather run a fun meme build and die rather than use a meta build and survive but that's just me
-
@nina1121 said:

So quick catch up on me. Long time killer main, started SWFing to learn survivor, climbed to rank 4 as survivor, but knew I was boosted.
So I started my solo career. I have been hard stuck at rank 6 but all I face are red rank killers and my fellow survivors also tend to be red ranks.
My question, how often do you all survive? I went from probably a 70% survival rate as a swfmate to maybe 15% as a solo.
I noticed as solo, I don't even play to survive anymore, I play to hopefully pip.
So please tell me friends are you surviving often? And if so, how?
Kindred has earned it's place in my build and usually helps me in terms of escaping. It gives so much information when someone's on the hook and I have to say it's saved my butt more than I could count. For my other 3 slots I run Balanced Landing, Iron Will and Inner Strength. Since I know where totems spawn most of the time and it's a free fast heal

@sulaiman said:
If a killer plays differend, he is considered to have no counterplay by survivor mains, thus get nerfed till he plays like all the others.
They don't really gut all the killers. They make them more balanced to play against. Take the pyramid head for example, They made it where he can't instantly attack once coming out of POTD. That didn't gut his character all it did was make it so people playing him can't take advantage and get free hits

I enjoy her play style and perks but I feel it’s time for a new challenge. Though I’m not sure who to tackle next. I’d say I enjoy a fairly stealth playstyle and am still somewhat of a beginner so nobody with too steep a learning curve please. Who’s got the best perks I can master? Who should I try out next?
Jake for Iron Will
Meg for Quick and Quiet
I love combining these 2 perks and getting away every time before they think you'd stay at loop when you quicky (and quietly) jumped a window and vanished from sight

Favorite perk has to be Kindred. This perk gives so information and definitely saved me from situations that would've sacrificed me if I didn't have this perk so it's a must for my build

@Moundshroud said:
I want to start out by saying that this is not bait. This is an assessment. Both as Killer and Survivor, I've noticed an annoying tendency for people to kill themselves on their very first Hook. While I consider this a vast improvement over disconnecting, it is still the path of the coward. I wish there was a nicer way to say it. When I'm playing Killer it isn't too troubling. I know it will cut down on my Emblem potential but beyond that, some idiot has just taken the game from a 4v1 to a 3v1. What is worse, they don't even let their fellow Survivors milk that Hook for a Generator. These are the people you are hurting:
- Yourself. Every time you take yourself out early from a game that has angered you or seems too hard you have robbed yourself of a golden opportunity to learn and get better. If you think that game is lost, you can play it without stress. Try new things out, play it without anything hanging over your head. Why give up a free tutorial. Some lessons are hard, but those are generally the ones you get the most out of. And believe it or not, what you have already decided is a lost or "not fun" game might turn out to be a win and a blast. To put it simply, "you are leaving money on the table."
- You are screwing over the other Survivors in a horrible way. One less person, even someone who was on the hook, takes tremendous pressure off the Killer and puts it squarely on the backs of the others. When you do it early, you might as well be kicking them in the groin on our way out the door. Why would you do this? What kind of low life do you have to be to look at three other people on your team and say, "screw them" with a shrug? You aren't punishing the Killer in any meaningful way if that is your intent. You are hurting them.
- You are hurting the community. The more often this happens, the more it affects the Meta itself. How hard are your teammates going to work to try and get to someone they don't know is even going to wait for them. I just played a game where I watched an OUTRAGED David tea-bag at the Jake who literally sacrificed himself out just as the David fought through hell to get there. It wasn't that the David didn't get there in time. The Jake just shrugged and said, "see ya" and took himself out. There are going to be games where you want that rescue but people just aren't that into risking it all when they don't trust that you are going to do the right thing and wait. I expect, although I have not tested the theory yet, that the rise in people being left to hit the second stage on the Hook is probably in correlation to the people who sacrifice them on themselves on the Hook. Why is Self Care coming back like a Storm? Survivors, who are not in a SWF, have no trust in each other.
There are only three rules that I follow, and think all of you should too:
- Don't cheat either with hacks or lag spikes.
- Don't disconnect; if you start a game, finish it.
- Be humble in victory, and gracious in defeat.
I will defer the point that sacrificing yourself on the Hook "is" finishing the game to the letter of the law. It is a valid choice. However, it is a violation of rule #2 in spirit. You are taking the coward's way out. And if you walk the path of the coward, it can only mean one thing right?
The only reason I kill myself on hook is when I see my other teammates crouching in the corner hiding from a non existent terror radius and if I go into struggle on my first hook you bet your ass I'm going to let go because why would I struggle when my while team is crouching in corners?

Pretty self explanatory title. We talk alot about how dbd should add a casual mode. Entirely agree with the idea. But do you guys think survivors will stop playing sweaty builds. Cause from all ranks there are sweaty/ trying too hard survivors that run the usual suspects, ya know, ds, dh, adrenaline etc, in ranks that they would have no reason to run those builds in. I wanna believe survs will run something like detectives hunch or healing builds but from my experience I lack faith in survivors creativity.
I wouldn't mind a casual mode. Would give a lot more breathing room to try out new builds and not having to worry about the sweat that comes from both sides
