As a killer, if I smack a generator or a hex totem it's clearly an indication that these things are up for grabs and I'm wanting us to farm blood points. It's even worse when survivors pretend to go along with it, only to teabag and exit gate or hatch. Not dropping their item at the end is just icing on the cake, no matter if it's a brown or purple item with addons. As the killer, I gave up hooks/sacrifices. The least you survivors could do is drop an item as a sign of respect.
I always drop my item for the killer no matter what rarity it is. Sometimes I even give the killer the sacrifice once everyone escapes

The PTB has been out for like 4 hours, you can not say for sure whether this killer or any of the perks need a buff or nerf.
Now let me make this clear, you can absolutely think the killer might be strong or might be weak. First impressions are big and can absolutely be right. But come on now, the load of pish some of you spew is disheartening.
But I've seen too many people say something like "WHAT WERE THE DEVS THINKING? THIS IS DUMB!"
I've seen some people even say that the devs shouldn't even release the chapter because of how broken The Twins are, which is dumb.
So please, don't jump to any conclusions will ya?
That's what I'm saying. It's only been a couple of hours and I'm already seeing post like "KILLER NEEDS A BUFF" Give a few days

DS + Flip Flop + Power Struggle + Unbreakable....
This is going to be hell to face. Hell, you don't even need DS—just 1 in the lobby is enough that the killer has to plan around it. So make that DH + Flip Flop + Power Struggle
Unless you're Pyramid Head, hell is coming.
Unless the killer completely avoids pallets

As a survivor main im excited about it. Changing the meta is not only good for one side but good for the opposing side as well as it leads to more exciting gameplay.
Perks like Oppression and coup de grace could be really good for M1 killers like Wraith and trapper.
Overall good perks so far.
Definitely seeing oppression/surveillance/overcharge/PGTW builds coming in the future and I can honestly can't wait. Been waiting for new killer metas

I won't even lie here, it's the same with the movies they've made about Dahmer and Bundy with famous people that are considered good looking, docudramas are great when done right.
That's what their supposed to be documentaries about bad people who did bad stuff and I would rather it stay that way

If I can remember right, there's been a few internet flash games with serial killers in them and they were not taken well. I think this is one thing in the video that people will agree with more than the other characters I'll be mentioning.
I personally don't think there should be any real life serial killers in Dbd because that would just make the Murderer more popular and thus giving what them what they wanted in the first place. To be remembered (ironically Freddy's perk could be a great pun here) I don't think they want these said killers any more fame and think about the families who were victim of those murderers come across this game and be absolutely disgusted that the Devs would bring their nightmare back

As a Killer Main, I've been having some fun running this perk on Freddy and other killers NOT named Bubba. It seems like no one expects it and I'm getting some interesting and, imo, fun game play out of it. When I'm on survivor, however, I'm not seeing it too often (again, on anyone not named Bubba) so I can't really relate to what I'm seeing as a killer.
Recently, I have played a number of matches where Franklin's played a huge role in me getting a 3 or 4k. The most poignant example was this poor Yui who just HAD to have that lunchbox. She abandoned trying to get away from me in order to go back and make a play for it after the first hit, so getting that second hit and a hook was super easy. I found someone else and was just plopping them on the hook when she got rescued. I went down there (we were on The Game) to see about finding her savior when, lo and behold, there was Yui trying to get to her lunch box. She points at me, tea bags, and points again before picking up her lunch box, which she promptly loses when I hit her again. Long story short, she gets hooked again, I chase someone who was down there, hook them, and get a notification of the Yui being saved. I figure, there's no way she goes back for the med kit but decided, hey, why not check any way? Sure enough, there she is, making a run for it again. Easy sacrifice.
In other matches, I've literally seen things like a Dwight immediately doubling back in the middle of a chase to try for the flashlight he just dropped. Or the Meg who stunned me with a pallet, took a hit and dropped her Key, then proceeded to climb back over the pallet in order to try to snatch the key. Slap, down, hook. Less dramatic are the cases where people hesitate and look for a second before continuing to run away and more toxic are the 14 players so far who either suicide on hooks or DC because of Franklin's and message me about it. Here's a quote: "Franklin? Really? You are trash, your family is trash, plz uninstall."
What do you guys think? Where does the community stand on this perk?
I've been enjoying creating a little bit of a wrinkle in certain games that changes up how some of the chases go once people realize I am running it. I also like seeing those maps, keys, and flashlights hit the turf. Are any other killers out there running it? As a survivor, how do you feel about the perk?
I will leave my item where it was dropped and completely forget about it because I know the killer might just be around the corner camping my dropped item. So instead I let them waste their time waiting for me to come pick up my item while me and my team worked on gens. I hate Franklin's and wish white wards actually prevented us from dropping said items

I'm currently writing a script for my next dbd video on my channel, I've seen some people mention the likes of Ted Bundy, Charles Manson etc. I'm doing different sections for this video on things people want in the game, but I can't find the reasons that people want serial killers in this game, what powers would they have? What's the reason you want these guys in the game? Is it just out of being interested in true crime or is it something else? I'm not here to judge and I will be respectful of people's opinions in said video, I would just like to have some information on this before speaking about it.
They said it themselves that they don't want to put the spotlight on REAL killers. I would imagine that it would be bad for their rep to be seen as putting real killers into their game

It honestly sucks that the funniest killers to go against are the least picked (Demo Blight and PH) Hopefully the devs will show these killers some love soon. They're so much fun to go against

You do realize for Legion to keep their power going they have to smack every survivor. For infinite Tier 3 Mikey he literally has to stalk every survivor so they have no more Evil Within. I don't see a problem with Oni and Executioner but they're fine where they are. Don't be crying for a nerf to these killer when you can learn counterplay.

Also what about the rift outfits.
Just curious how everyone feels cause some of the cosmetics I mentioned I want such as the megmask. I just feel I should of got the opportunity.
Thanks to whoever reads this and have a great day :) ❤️
I don't mind them but I'm not uptight about them being taking away. I personally feel wrong wearing something I didn't earn. Something about that just feels wrong to me

@AnnoyingNarrator said:
I personally think that Keys are worse for the game than moris, but they are both terrible. Why? It has to do with both sides objectives and the way you complete them. Lets start with Moris
Moris
The Ebony Mori allows you to personally kill anyone who has already been hooked. Now, this is very powerful, but when you actually think about, all it really does it make it so that your first hook into your struggle hook, as the next time you get downed, you will be killed. So that is very strong, but there is a catch. You should not be getting downed in the first place! Moris are very powerful, don't get me wrong, but a good survivor can negate its effects by not getting downed. Which I know kind of sounds dumb, but at the very least it means that if you are doing your role properly, you can negate its effects. That being said, face camping with a Mori is absolutely horrible and is a crime against humanity, but I think we all know about that by now.
Keys
Keys, on the other hand, are complete BS. This is because it allows Survivors to say "I don't want to that objective" and escape. This is a huge problem, as there are many killers whose powers are based around the idea of forcing survivors into bad positions via the objective, for example The Trapper. So when the trapper spends his time setting up his traps, preparing a nasty three gen, and killing a survivor, the key lets all three of the other survivors escape via hatch, completely negating the killer's power. To make matters worse, the key punishes killers for, well, killing people. The more people you kill, the less gens the survivors have to do to escape. So if you are doing your job, you get punished. That is incredibly stupid. But the worse part of it is that as Killer you get denied the hooks that the survivors have, meaning that you are incredibly likely to lose some rank. You can counter it by bring Franklin's Demise, but you are giving up a perk slot for that.
Conclusion
While both of these items have the effect of negating an objective for their side, Keys are worse because there is no way to easily counter without giving some up. Keys also completely counter territorial killers on certain maps.
So your counter to Moris is don't go down? You know how ignorant you sound? People make mistakes and that go down and get hooked. You can't be serious when you say that we "shouldn't go down" This is a game everyone is going to make mistakes but I don't believe that they should be punished by getting killed by a Mori. I agree that keys are bad but they're not worse than Moris. You have to get a specific number of gens done before you can use said key. Besides the killer and just remember who has a key and tunnel them to death. So I don't see how that's worse then Moris

Edit: Changed the title cuz it sounded entitled :P
Sorry very important note, I did not make it clear at all that I'm talking about the context of survivor killer interaction within chase. Not stealthing, not winning, but rather the fundamental aspects of a chase that make the chase fun.
Also I haven't played since the update sorry I don't know how much PH has changed.
God I ######### hate it when people cannot understand what a boring killer is. A boring killer is a killer that can feel oppressive, have incredibly repetitive counter-play, or not having any information to counter-play the killer which leads to guessing. Clown, spirit, deathslinger, and pyramid head all fall under this category regardless of their strength. Clown is debatably the worst killer, and spirit is the second best killer, they are both very boring to go against imo. The counter-play for clown is to run up to a pallet and pre drop it every ######### time. Pyramid head is oppressive because at a loop, if the Pyramid head is average, or even a bad player, but knows that as long as he puts his sword in the ground once he reaches the pallet, there is absolutely nothing you can do, and you are going to get hit or go down. For spirit and deathslinger, you have to constantly guess as to what they're going to do, but it's not an equal guessing game, it's tipped towards the killers side. An example of a fair guessing game is a 50/50 on a t-and l wall. An imbalanced guessing game is when deathslinger keeps ads(aiming down sights) at you and you have to guess (notice I say guess, not react) when he will shoot and when he will not. When someone makes the point "oh your just bad because these killer counter loops haha trash survivor main," it means ######### all. I adore playing against Oni, Huntress, Hillbilly, Nurse, and Blight, and they are all good within chase. Also if you want to play dbd for the intimidating and scary aspect of the chase, this is not the game for that. It simply isn't. This game in its current state is not meant to be scary. Maybe it was intended to be at launch, but at it's current state it is an extremely unique asymmetrical HORROR THEMED multiplayer, not a horror multiplayer. Anyways I don't know why you read this all but this is my opinion and I would love to have some friendly arguments below :)
P.S. Sorry if I come out as aggressive I'm just really annoyed of people just completely ignoring my points on this topic by just saying "mAyBe yOU jUsT neED tO gEt beTTeR haHA!" it adds nothing to the conversation and it annoys me.
I will try to reach all the comments, I'm just one guy :(
Sorry very important note, I did not make it clear at all that I'm talking about the context of survivor killer interaction within chase. Not stealthing, not winning, but rather the fundamental aspects of a chase that make the chase fun.
Also, I'm trying to tell people what people mean what boring killers are. I'm trying to justify why people think this way, and why people find certain killers boring. Idrc if you think these killers are fun to play against, and as a matter of fact I envy you, but I just want people to understand what I mean by a boring killer.
I've been trying this point across for months. Thank you for going detail by detail why each of these killers are boring to go against. I agree 100% with what you're saying

I made it to red ranks finally and I'm seeing a lot more campers. Its either a really good killer that strategically knows where to apply gen pressure, gets quick downs and knows how to end loops fast or its players that just get one person, proxy, then when they're dead get another kill. You get a guaranteed 2k almost using this and then a possible 3k when the last two are opening the exit doors. I might just be bad so don't take me too seriously because I haven't played as long as a lot of you had but camping seems to be the winning strat in red ranks.
It's definitely a strategy that works. Especially if survivors are too altruistic, had games go from one person down to nearly everyone down because the killer decides to camp and instead of doing gens and getting the heck out of there they want to bomb the hook. Definitely effective

Anywho, I look forward to her rift cause I feel her lore will be the day to celebrate. ❤️
I don't mind if some are part of the LGBTQ+ community (I'm also a part of this community) but to keep the game from getting criticism based on certain survivors sexual preference. They've decided to just keep sexuality out of the game so problems don't arise.

dear survivors,
yes i know Hags are rare. And most Hags are just doing their daylie... Hag mains are really rare.
Its okay that you are not too familiar with her... i understand.
But please keep in mind. Just because a Hag doesnt use addons and does teleport and hit you faster than you can press E ...doesnt mean she is cheating.
There are no addons which effect the teleporting speed.
A Hag with quick reactions can teleport and hit you nearly instantly when you trigger her trap.
I already spamm ctrl when i expect someone to trigger a trap. some players bind the teleport key to their mousewheel, which is also very quick. Macro is also possible but could heavily backfire in my opinion.
Otzdarva or Michi have some good Hag videos with fast teleports.
Please accept, that some Hags press faster ctrl + M1 faster than you can press E for Dead Hard or Space for dropping a pallet
They are not cheating. You dont need to insult them in chat, or report them to bhvr or write nasty comments on their steampage.
And if your a streamer... you dont need to show the killers name and claim in public that she is definitly using cheats.
Worry not, dear survivors.
you`re still the better players. All hags are boosted and play a way to easy and op killer with absolutly no counterplay.
And they only win because the play unfair...and cheat apparently. And of course, all hags are camper!
A filthy Hag main.. and yes i play both roles at red ranks...
if you dont believe me, grab a friend an test it on kyf.
I get why they put traps at the hook but they need to disappear once that survivor is saved because it's basically time wasting having to crouch to the hook then crouching away from the hook because of traps. Same goes for traps by gens and once the gen is done, they'll disappear.
Easy Fix

In my opinion the worst designed perk is Hex: Blood Favor, it's completely useless if Survivors have a brain, they can just run to next tile, not to mention that it is a hex perk that does have a cooldown, only works on basic attacks and on top of that has a range limit, but that's just my opinion, what do you think is the worst designed perk?
I feel like Leader is the worst perk. After it's nerf I don't think anyone will run it because it only works on anything else than gens. It only lasts a little while after the person has left the area. To me Leader is the worst perk

Thoughts on killer hook/face campers? I personally don't do it as it's a di#k move imo but I thought what if the killers had some form of slowed affect when near a hook with they sit on a survivor hooked? Because killers do have it way to easy in the game right now
I don't mind it, it definitely sucks getting face camped but other survivors could just do gens while the killer is face camping the survivor. Either way it sucks for both the person being camped and the person camping so it's no big deal to me
-

Right now all survivors are interchangeable with teachable perks, any survivor can use any build. How about balancing the game a bit and give survivors ultra rare add-ons like killers have? So Claudette could have something like ultra fast heals or Nea could have no exhaustion balance landing. Give the survivor add-ons which are specific to their unique Perks. It could make the game more interesting and challenging. Most of the junk you get on the bloodweb is useless or has minor impact on the game.
Seriously some of the stuff killers get is insane in making the game unbalanced. Mike gets unlimited tier 3? Yeah try countering that. But with a little balance the killers could be forced to work instead of just using endless clutch add-ons.
Would definitely love to see something to make survivors unique. So that they're not just skins but actual survivors. Just like every killer is unique in their own way

why hes just a worse huntress with much more cooldown and punishment of missed shots and range and hitbox size and you survivors can get themselves stuck on nearby objects and you can't down people behind the wall like huntress unless you pull them to a window.
Not really. As a survivor is running to a loop all you have to do is spam your ADS and they'll curve if they look back while looping and all he has to do is keep spamming until he's close enough to hit you with his basic attack yeah definitely worse then huntress when she gets slowed down for pulling out a hatchet but he can keep spamming his ADS with no consequences
-
@Crypticghoul said:
He's probably my most or second most hated killer to play against.
The instant ADS -> shoot is my main gripe as it really shouldn't be a thing imo. I'd like if his accuracy is bad if he doesn't aim for like 0.3 or 0.5 seconds (I'll admit, this change would probably make him near unplayable).
Or they can give him the Pyramid Head/Huntress treatment where pressing ADS slows him for a second after he lets go so spamming it makes him lose a lot of distance but still allows him to bait out dead hards/jukes.
I also wouldn't mind monitor & abuse changed from -8 meters off your terror radius to -25% so that way all the 32 meter killers are unaffected but Deathslinger gets an 18 meter instead of 16. This would probably nerf a few edge cases that don't need nerfing though like maybe vanity mirror Myers if he normally runs it.
I've never been so happy to read a comment. This is perfect, would love if they at least took this into consideration

And? Killer is the power role, a skilled killer should have little to no counterplay, while a bad killer should be easily beaten. Deathslinger does that to a T.
No killer should be that easy. They all should at least have some kind of counterplay otherwise it's just unfun to go against

This isn't really feasible TBH. Killers can't switch characters in the lobby anymore in preparation for the upcoming MMR matchmaking system. Because players will have a different MMR for each killer they will be matched to survivors with similar MMR for that character. Don't get me wrong, I'd love to still be able to swap killers in the lobby; if I see 4 medkits I could switch to Plague or a killer who can make good use out of Franklins. If I see a lobby with 4 toolboxes I can switch to Blight with Ruin/Undying and hard counter the inevitable gen rush.
I'd rather see a system for banning maps/realms. The new Sacrificial Ward (the offering that negates other map offerings) is really rare and hard to find, otherwise I'd be using it every match.
Which is why they should remove it. Since MMR isn't in play anymore why lock the killers choice? Doesn't make sense to me
-
@Mandy said:
Problem I see with this, is that many players would pick Spirit (for example) not to go against and then that Spirit player wouldn't be able to get a match again.
People have paid/unlocked their characters & perks and have the right to use them - I really don't agree with blocking that out of the game. It's not up to a survivor to say what killer they should play against, anymore than it's up to a killer to say what perks/players they are up against.
Just a thought. Kinda why I liked Identity V more than DbD tbh

Why should we get a ban for playing charackters we like and paid for??
Also i guess surivor perks dont get banned?
I figured since 1 killer ban is enough why not list 4 survivor perks you want to ban so it's pretty much equivalent to a killer getting banned

I didn't know this was a feature in Identity V. I would absolutely not want to see something like that implemented in DBD. People should be free to use whatever they want.
Yeah the highest ranks in Identity V. Player are allowed to ban certain characters and they are unavailable to the opposite side

I saw recently that he has a lower killrate than most killers but i feel like hes basically just like nurse, not playable on console really difficult to play but also extremely strong.
I wouldnt say hes as strong as nurse but def high A tier for me.
My person favorite build on him is enduring, spirit fury, bbq(duh), and infectous fright. Just keep downing and downing people getting hooks really quick while exerting so so much pressure ending the game with barely any gens done.
I think it's really fun to play against wish there were more blight mains in my lobbies
