Like i said, i keep playing killer but its mostly ruined because of massive SWF groups, they treat me like a joke and gen-rush me, it makes playing killer unfun sometimes and i feel we should be given the choice to play with SWF groups or not.

I have Aspergers and losing so badly to SWFs groups makes me feel very victimized.

There are times when i win, i don't always lose, but SWFs groups making fun of me still gets to me a bit.

Please, give people the option to cancel out SWF groups or do something to identify who is SWFs in the lobby or not.

I would actually love this to be in the game. This is mostly why I stay away from playing Killer, You get those SWF groups who like to taunt and ruin your fun.

Did we really need to change this? It is incredibly loud, it drowns out hearing and as killer I can 100% tell when a gen is being worked on, seemingly from even further away. I really don’t want to hear a 1978 ford pinto trying to start up all game

I hate the new gen sounds. If I wanted to hear a car stutter, I would go ask my parents to start up their old car. It's really annoying

  • I had this happen to me 2 times already. Once with a spirit and once with a clown. Spirit hooked me but the clown was nice enough to let me finish the gens what a nice person

Is this how it always is for pc players? Boring! The only downside for crossplay is ps4 killers had a lot more variety

Crossplay is fun when survivors don't kill themselves on hook and dc. Had a game where 2 people d/c and me and this other player had a 2v1 with the killer. I don't mind it but getting it constantly is really annoying

I like the idea that every survivor has something unique except their skin. One of the (already existing) perks is a bad idea imo.

Just give them a buff in one specific thing just like this:

    Meg: x% faster run speed

Dwight: getting in a locker is 20% faster

Ace: Luck is increased by 3% all the time

    etc.

Right!! But also have them have some kind of debuff for say if someone is injured Ace now has a 8% chance to pull a brown item from a chest. Definitely would make the game more interesting

Survivors already have a 5th perk slot; it's called SWF 😆

In all seriousness, no that's a terrible idea. We would only ever see meta characters like we do perk loadouts. And we all know that's inevitable if bhvr tries to implement something like this since they have SUCH a great track record with balance changes.

How about those of us who play solo? I'm pretty sure not everyone plays with SWF

  • @Reaver_Raziel said:

I argued something similar but the last perk would be an "information" perk. Like an aura perk or maybe something like spine chill/whispers. Maybe even make so "information perks" are only available in the 5th slot. That last one is only maybe. But I still think the first one is a good one.

My problem with the "locked to the weakest teachable perk for that survivor" is how do you decide which ones the weakest. I mean in the plagues case I think its obvious. Dark devotion is good but it cant compete with Infectious/Corrupt.

But someone like Ace who has got at least 2 bad perks. Which one is the worst one and how is that decided.

Good point. How would they decide on the weakest perk? Probably gather some data to see which perk doesn't get used as often or maybe a unique new perk all together

  • @Folklore said:

I'd love a fifth perk slot haha

It's not just any perk slot. This is the character's locked perk which means you can't change it at all. Would give some diversity to the survivors just like the killers have

  • @HatchIsMyMercy said:

Following my other comments, it would be a big hassle to implement into dbd.

    Definitely. Just a thought though

Take the weak perks, convert them into passives, but for people who would have a teachable passive perk, they would need another 'main' teachable perk.

Definitely would have to reshape the characters teachables a little bit. Can't say it won't be interesting tho!!

It would create a meta between characters but either way i wouldn't care, i would love to have something exciting like that to change the meta a little bit and also would be great to not see a lobby full of claudettes.

    Right!!!!

Thank you for your feedback! I appreciate it

Would be nice if it was like a passive thing, you would unlock it and equip it, for example, vigil, make it a passive that goes in that 5th slot, like a mini perk. But to add passive perks, you would need to change teachable perks as well.

    Definitely something to look at

    Thanks for the feedback!!

By that argument though; what about people like Laurie, Dwight, Nurse, Plague ect.. where every perk is pretty strong?

I guess it would probably means on how you use them. You're not necessarily locked to having every perk of that specific character. I like running a specific build on every survivor I play and I love it. It would be the cherry on top of I could have that one locked perk for that specific character where you have to learn the advantages and the disadvantages of selecting that survivor

  • @Customapple0 said:

Every Survivor and killer would have a 5th locked perk.

Said locked perk would be the weakest perk they have out of their 3 teachables to have some balance.

Example: Meg: Quick & Quiet, Wraith: Bloodhound.

My argument would be that it adds some variety to each survivor, but in some ways it could be unbalanced.

    I can definitely see that.

    Thanks for the feedback!!

  • @aGoodOldRub said:

Having 5 perks would just make the game way more survivor sided and unbalance the game way too much so no it is not gonna happen if we are being realistic.

But it would be a good idea if they implemented it when they designed the game and at the same time very bad because what if someone needed or wanted the survivor locked perk but didn't wanna play the survivor ? it would be very unfair to force people to play a certain survivor just for the perk and if you make the perks bad enough that nobody would care then also nobody would care about the locked unique survivor perk so.

The killer can have locked perk as well. It would definitely make the game more interesting because you would have to find out what perks work best for that survivor or killer.

    I do appreciate the feedback!

Either a fifth locked perk OR a 5th & 6th slot. But with a catch:

You want your 5th or 6th slot? You have to trade out one of your first 4. And you can only do it once per trial. (And not while the perks in cool down or something.)

That could be fun for killer or survivor. Basically add a mini-deckbuilding mechanic to allow some actual instant counterplay.

That actually sounds quite fun! It would take time to figure out what works best with what. But hey I'm willing to spend extra time for some fun builds

I think everyone is missing the big picture on why dbd has such a problem and often people argue that its because of perks and yell out specific perks they hate

The problem with dbd is survivors and before you disagree with me please note that I am a survivor main and you should hear me out.

Survivors have no downside to them you can play any survivor without any penalty where that is different for killer, you can't play any killer and it be the same. Killers have different abilities which leads to different playstyles survivors don't you can play any survivor and run at the same speed etc needs to change

My suggestion: Completely rework survivor and remove teachables.

Survivors needs stats like killers, some survivors should be slower than others leaving them at a disadvantage but could have pros like more strength (by strength I mean throwing down a pallet faster and it stuns the killer for like 0.3 seconds longer)

Exhaustion needs to be base kit, there needs to be exhaustion you shouldn't be able to run across the map without stopping to catch breath and this gives killers like hag a chance in chases where you run a -5% slower if you run for to long

Teachables have always been a problem on the survivor side anyway and have continued to be a problem throughout the years. They honestly make a character less important since all you have to do is get someone to level 40 in the blood web then be done with them this can be done in a day. I propose they remove teachables as a whole and yes I'm aware that this can be argued with but I have an example

Say you wanna use dead hard but you also want to use decisive strike you can't anymore you'd have to play David for dead hard or Laurie for decisive strike.

I know there will be entitled players who won't like this idea but I think every survivor main realizes that killer has harder than survivor and something needs to be done other than reworking powers and perks.

Now this is just my way of thinking but why not add a 5th locked perk to every character in the game so that they're not just reskins. It could be the same for killer so that you still can freely choose 4 perks but you could also have a perk with a benefit and also a consequence. Just my thought tho
