EDIT : and about sparing one and not another. The problem comes when you pick and choose, and you kill one and not the other, and now the person you didn't pick, has to watch you playing favorites and making them feel bad. You are ruining someone's match by killing them and not killing his teammate. It makes people feel bad. Especially when things are going on in Survivor side during a match, and you as Killer, have no idea what went on. Like maybe that "cute" player you allow to escape, refused to unhook someone or was hiding in a corner insetad of doing a gen, or whatever, and then here you come, and kill the guy who played well and tried to help everyone, and you allow the bad player to escape. You're making people feel bad having to watch that. Don't do it for this reason, and for another reason below.
The second reason is it promotes survivors snitching and trying to break ToS and work with killers, because they know there's a chance the killer will work with them and let them go. So, to avoid making anyone feel bad watching someone else be allowed to escape and them dying, and to avoid encouraging people to attempt to break ToS, i say killers should kill everyone.

Farming is not against the rules. The match ended. Dunno what your problem is, especially since it sounds like you weren't doing anything for most of the time the game stalled (if you had ten whole minutes while Wesker gave Adam a piggyback ride and didn't do a single gen. In that case, the stalling is your own fault.) Like, if you were pointing at the hook and Wesker wouldn't kill you, that's one thing, but seeing as Wesker used Adam to find you and then wanted to farm with you instead of using that information to immediately murder you... that sounds kosher to me.
I'm following along half of what you're saying, but when you act like the killer shouldn't have the agency to kill whoever they want whenever they want, you lose me. I'm not advocating trapping people or teaming with survivors to help kill their team, because that's scummy BS, but I can think someone is cute and spare them, prefer to spare Jane because I'm a Jane main, or prefer to spare the Meg because the Claudette has been hiding all match and I respect the player trying to progress the game more. You can't criminalize that, and yet you repeatedly proclaim that killers should be punished for wanting you dead in particular when it may just be that your behavior in game isn't something that most players respect. (Which, if you were hiding for 10 minutes, increasingly sounds like that may be the case.)
Working with survivors is not against the rules?

How is that holding hostage? It just sounds like Wesker was trying to farm the gen kicking challenge. You got some points out of it. It's not a bad trade.
I have total sympathy for the case where a two-man trolled you and the killer got in on it instead of doing what they should have and murdering the little shits, but there's nothing wrong here.
Refusing to hook anyone and end the game because he wanted to hold us hostage and remain in match to unnaturally farm points in a manner breaking ToS.

You're investing 20-24 seconds of two peoples time just to heal one person when people can run medkits and only spend 16 seconds of their own time praying to get value out of a bad perk
Where are you getting 20 seconds from?
I said it's 4 seconds of total extra time. Four.

Are you forgetting that auto didact requires both survivors to invest their time? There are so many better healing options that don't hinder you & don't waste the time of both survivors. Praying to the rng gods in dbd is not worth it if you want to run a bottom tier perk go queue with a friend to heal because I'm keeping my shift pressed down around you.
It's a total time of 4 extra seconds. Four seconds.

Doing 2 gens by yourself is nothing hard in solo. Most games I do 3 to 4 gens by myself. Also he never said he was taking hits, but only unhooking and healing.

It looks like the real victims are your teamates. Especially when you say they can’t loop the killer for too long…after you instant unhook them. Maybe take hits next time instead of blaming them ?
Safe hook rescues, unhook + heal AS I SAID IN THE OP, they were fine.
You're a troll, not replying to you anymore. Actually making up excuses as to why the video is okay. Be gone, lemme find the ignore option.

If they are all on death hook except you who didn’t get hook once (because you use them as meat shields), how do you call that ? Sometimes all the survivors have to take turn so the team can win.
Blaming the victim

You're doing negative healing until you get 3 stacks and even then only 5% bonus progression + skillcheck rng means you're losing time. DBD is a very time sensitive game and the faster you do things the more likely you are to escape. Autodidact is only useful against coulrophobia doctor/wesker.
You're totally exaggerating. Autodidact is good.
Only the first two stacks give you negative healing, and the TOTAL negative healing is -4 seconds-...... That's it. Four seconds is the TOTAL time penalty, and then the 3rd and 4th stack give you bonus healing, and the 5th stack can heal you from injured to full in 2 skill checks.
Also consider that this works for downed players too. 5 stacks skill check when picking up a downed player in the late game when the Killer tries to slug? You can pick someone up if the Killer leaves a slug for only a few seconds. Four seconds in the early game, which you can afford.... for really fast healing in the mid to late game. And You're not taking into account that It ends up being a net positive healing by end of match, by a lot.
Sacrificing 4 seconds in early game, to have really fast healing in the mid-late game is powerful. Especially in the latter game when killer has more pressure on team after someone dies. And to get these stacks, you don't have to do anything weird. Just go out of your way to heal people, so essentially you're helping the team by unhooking/healing everyone constantly.
The only problem is the RNG. Some games you have incredible RNG and you become a healing god. Other games, you don't get much use out of it. But that's high risk high reward RNG. Most of the time, it works well for me in Solo Q.

Yes,run the meme perk that favors the killer 99% of the time 😈 So strong
Autodidact with 5 stacks is very strong. Idk what you're on about. It heals people really really fast.

You can (and should) report those players to BHVR. You have video evidence, although that doesn't guarantee a response. To your intent to illuminate griefing issues within solo queue, nothing is going to change. BHVR isn't going to do a single thing about this. As someone else suggested, it may just be worth your while to find a SWF group you could play with.
Why wont BHVR do anything?
at least Killers should stop working with survivors and just kill everyone. The more I think about it, the Killer has a lot of blame here for allowing these 2 trolls to do what they did. He should have showed up and massacred everyone and forced them to play or die.
This is why I want the Killer community to STOP playing Dungeon master and letting certain people go, working with survivor.. etc. Just kill everyone. Don't work with survivors, and kill everyone. Problem solved.

I was thinking for the bodyblock/sandbagging issue (because I have definitely run into this issue myself), perhaps they could do something like make so that if you're pushing up against another player's model for ~3 seconds, it will let you clip/push through. That way you still have the collision, but it prevents a lot of the more egregious sandbagging that can happen.
Yep, thats a good suggestion. Someone else posted that maybe if you get AFK crow (not afk but you are stuck and cant move so you will get crows), it triggers a 5 second no survivor collision
-
Another troll game just now.
A Wesker held us hostage. He killed two survivors, and then carried the third survivor, who refused to Wiggle, allowing Wesker to roam the map trying to see my aura. This went on for 10 minutes until Wesker gave up and then tried to pick up and drop the third survivor, to have him snitch. And yes, the Adam snitched on me by using the downed aura.
Then, the Wesker finds me, via snitching Adam (third survivor), and the Wesker wants me to give him generator hits and pallet breaks, because he was running around map with Adam doing this #########. I went off to do generators while Adam and Wesker exchanged hits on generator regression. Then Wesker is done, and kills Adam, his little minion and kills me.

But what do you expect them to do against players that behave like jerks and a-holes?
Make each solo survivor strong enough to battle the killer on their own?
Give out free DC passes?
What's the endgame here in this thread?
I don't get paid a yearly salary to figure it out. Pay me and I'll figure it out for you. But these things can be fixed.
Here is my first suggestion :
1) Downed survivors should NOT be able to see aura of teammates. Crawl around to safe spot, wait for someone to come get you. But this aura reading is being abused by troll snitches and also Killers who want to slug and recruit survivor to help them. This helps stop the snitch problem that both Killers and Survivors are doing.
2) Add option to disable spectating for my character. I've been victim of troll SWF's far too many times by one of them being dead, and telling the other one what to do. I have a recording of a small Twitch streamer who was in an SWF, and I was solo Q matched up with them, and I saw the vod. One of the dead survivors on our team was her friend in a Discord with her, and he was telling her where to run to sandbag me over and over. "He's behind that wall, no no, go that way" etc... and she would ask "Where is claudette!" whenever the Killer was on her.
3) We need to remove the incentive for survivors to try and work with killers... so.... start punishing Killers who are breaking rules by playing Dungeon Master and trolling certain players, or favoring certain players over others. Killers job is to kill everyone. The end.
I mean, I'm not being paid a salary to figure this out, but it CAN be figured out. Many other games have fixed their issues.

@GuyFawx said:
Ya that sometimes happens when you prevent teammates from completing their challenges which is what im guessing happned to them all you can do is report and move on unfortunately
No, the point of this thread is to show BHVR how absolutely crappy the Solo Queue experience is. This sort of trolling happens ALL THE TIME.
And while I'm here, I want to say a lot of SWF's are toxic. A few games ago, an SWF trolled me again and was SUPER toxic in end game chat because of course, I'm not in their SWF, I'm the Solo Q player, so their bad gameplay is always blamed on the outsider.

I've been the unfortunate survivor who was hunted down by a killer and another survivor on 2 occassions. Both reported, with one being actioned and the other I have no idea. So it is infuriating.
However, this is out of literally 100s or 1,000s of games I've played. I'm not sure where on the scale of players this happens at the regularity you say, but it's way away from mine, and I barely even hear of this happening. Either you're incredibly unlucky, or perhaps the few times this has happened has made you feel it's happened way more than it has.
Either way, absolutely no way is hiding your aura from other survivors when dying a good idea. Being able to know where other people are has saved me and many others many more times than not.
It happens to me a lot in Solo Q. Happened to me several times today. I recorded it

I don't believe I follow. The game design may allow this to happen, but that is unavoidable. The real factor that decides if this will happen is the player who decides to be the rat. You are seeing the game design as guilty by association or by enabling when in reality its just an issue with a group of players and their choices.
It's not unavoidable. Game design should take things into account.
In this case, to greatly discourage survivor's working with killers.... simply don't allow Survivor's to see aura's when downed, and allow option to disable spectating my gameplay (had a discord SWF troll me this way the other day). It won't eliminate it, but it would remove the temptation tremendously. Right now, Killer knows that Survivor can see aura and snitch immediately. It would be different if they both had to spend 20 minutes searching the entire map.
problem solved.

Unfortunately, its just up to people's morals. When playing an online game, people aren't seeing other players as people too, but rather as characters in a game. So more likely than not, you look less like a human being and more like a sacrificial pawn to your teammates. As messed up as it is, there's not really a way to prevent this besides filing a report and hoping something happens. They won't nerf auras due to the usefulness they provide, like the one dev said earlier. Hopefully you get luckier with not having to deal with these situations though. Also I noticed you made another post about the same topic. The eagerness for change is present, but too much repeating your view will only devalue your argument.
no, it's up to game design

Okay, and? Who cares about the reason I want a specific survivor? It is usually because they didn't participate, by the way. What does it matter if that is petty? I can go for them if I want. If you are that serious about escaping a game that you did not contribute in, I would say you need to get better at hiding from your teammates too.
You are toxic and breaking ToS by doing that though. Play the game the right way and stop ruining gameplay for others.

@Sluzzy said:
I've been saying for a long time survivors need alternate ways to escape so matches are not hopeless.
The key nerf and endgame collapse was some of the worst changes ever to the game. Gens taking longer too. BHVR forgot that killers have a million ways to come back from their bad starts. But what about survivors? If a couple starts dying out fairly soon then the other two only option is to walk up to the killer and say kill me. That is not fun and neither is it fair.
The Entity should remove all aura reading abilities, tracking abilities, gen slowdowns when a single survivor has died. Allow the hatch to spawn like it used to so a key can be used, but make it so only one person can leave. The last dude can find a key too.
The game shouldn't be determined so early. Killers are too confident and survivors are hopeless.
Finally someone who plays Solo Q and knows the terrible experience it is. Good post.

Just played a game. Guess what.
2 players left, the Dwight got downed. Instead of hooking Dwight and giving me a shot at hatch, Killer refused to hook Dwight and decided to slug to get 4K. I waited for Killer to stop camping downed Dwight, and then I picked up Dwight. Then... Dwight snitched on me and Killer worked with him and let him go after I was killed. I recorded it.
This is how Solo Q goes. It ######### needs attention.

I’ve nodded at the last survivor or 2 before to indicate I’m going to show mercy and let them go, but not in exchange for anything. I’ll then track down the other(s) and nod at them too (if they stop running long enough to notice I’m not trying to catch them)
I don’t think I’ve run into anyone trying to sell out hidden survivors. I have had some survivors presumably indicate I should attack someone standing right beside us which results in a complex dance of trying to figure out what specific challenge they’re trying to knock out. Hook save, heal a health state, trigger some perk, flashlight/pallet save, desire to be a jerk and t-bag their downed compatriot, etc.
When I play survivor I find the information useful. Among other things, I can plot out where they can intercept me while minimizing how much they have to break cover to do so. I never crawl right at anyone unless they’re right there anyway but in solo queue I could see that as someone not thinking through their actions being the more likely motivation than intentional sandbagging.
You're in the minority. I should start recording all my games to make a compilation in a short amount of time. There are MANY scummy killers out there, that have no issues not hooking the 2nd to last survivor, and using them to find the last one.. ESPECIALLY if you looped the killer well during the match or were hard to catch.

or, you didn't get dominated, but you're a Solo Q player and this is routine experience.

No. This would remove so much ability to coordinate and set up for saves, or close the gap towards a player who's coming to heal you. This is especially useful when the killer is trying to camp two slugs at once and you need to know which direction to crawl.

Or maybe not using that toolbox at the start but saving it for that situation
You're not completing a gen when there's only 2 survivors left, unless it was already almost finished, or if the other survivor is really good at looping and there's a bunch of pallets to use.
The killer will patrol the few remaining gens and will know if you touched it. No time.

Before the hatch nerf, teammates could tell me where hatch is.
Even now, it gives you information, for example, if someone is chased.
If you had bad experience about this, doesnt mean it needs to be removed. It has it advantages.
Sadly nearly everything can be abused in a negative way. Sandbagging both killer and survivors can do that. etc
Any benefit of you knowing someone is chased is irrelevant. You are downed and dying, and have to wait for someone to save you anyway. It doesn't make sense lore wise, and it would help TREMENDOUSLY towards the rampant cheating going on with Killers and Survivors working together at the end in Solo Q.

Or they nod their head up and down, etc.... and then survivors who are snitches and people working with killer at the end.

This is a semi cooperative game for survivors. Sometimes your teammates will turn on you at the end in hopes of the killer giving them mercy. IMO that's part of the fun.
Now, a survivor working with the killer the whole time is unacceptable and reportable. But end of game betrayals? They're fine.
This mindset is completely toxic and only makes me hate my teammates. If you think end game betrayals is fun, then I won't ever save anyone towards end game and let you all die because "they might betray me anyway"

"Dont play on this part of the map or its RIP" is what you are saying.

I have high survivor MMR. I am playing against good bubba's.
don't talk to me about the bad bubba's in your low MMR games.
a good bubba shows how broken the killer is. he can use swinging to chase you down even if you have an exhaustion perk, and turn any tight corner to insta down you. it's beyond stupid how they designed this killer and still havent nerfed it.
-
I used Lithe to get away from Bubba.
He started swinging his chainsaw and damn near caught up with me within 5 seconds.
I am forced to pre-drop pallet.
He insta-breaks pallet.
I am holding W to gain as much ground as possible.
Doesn't matter. Bubba immediately goes into another chainsaw swinging chasedown.
Immediately catches up to me within 4 seconds.
and this time I try to turn REALLY tight corners, walls, doesn't matter, he turns right with me and boom insta downs.
From healthy to downed with no counter play. No windows were nearby on this part of the map.
What a joke of a killer.

I wonder why. What possible reason could exist? I mean, what is it about having people literally making a living by very publicly coming out saying you are evil, weak, doomed to hell, etc may end up giving someone the desire to have their identity validated.
What insecurity could possibly be created by entire "treatment" programs existing for decades all over the world, countries where kissing the one you love is punishable by prison or even execution, politicians literally debating whether or not you can be allowed near children before going on to receive over 50% of their constituents vote.
Just boggles the mind.
Ever think that maybe the reason hetero people don't tend to need validation is because it's literally already provided by all of society being built around hetero relationships?
All of society is built around it because evolutionary design made heterosexuality the standard, for the survival of the species. 97% of people are born this way.
This is what you wanted though, you welcome this silly pandering by BHVR because you want external validation and to argue with people on internet forums. Can we get back to gameplay issues
