Umm.. Where's Kindred? Literally, the most necessary perk for every single Solo Queue survivor?..
Lightweight is clearly underated, I'll give you that.. But you'll kinda need Iron Will for that to be effective, as you can't always rely on getting healed by your team mates. And, because of that, I'd suggest Boon: Circle of Healing, so you can heal yourself and have survivors heal themselves when necessary instead of relying on you or other survivors, which becomes problematic the moment you're down to three survivors in the trial instead of the starting four.
That shall leave one perk for you.. If Calm Spirit wouldn't have been reducing the blessing and cleansing speed, I'd have suggested that one, but I can't do that with its current state. Yeah, drop Iron Will and get something else, I guess.
I've run Kindred before. Solo Q is full of bad players or selfish players. I've been left to rot on hook to death hook many a time. It's not that people don't know. It's that people don't care. Solo Q is full of mini-killers in the form of survivors, who will let you die, backstab you, sandbag you, snitch on you, body block you, refuse to take chase for you. After 1,500 hours of purely Survivor main.... you learn this. No matter how good you are, you cannot save a team from themselves. The other day I played a game or two in the evening, and I took first chase and ran the killer for a LONG time.. no gens got done. The killer gave up on chasing me and refused to chase me any more for rest of game until he got everyone out. Killer broke chase off of me, and within 20 seconds of breaking chase, my teammate lost 2 health states, in 2 separate melee swings somehow, and got hooked. 0 gens done, gets hooked from full health --> hook after I ran the kller for like 2 minutes. I sat there mystified how that is possible.
Solo Q is a hilarious experience.
This build seeks to maximize the fun for me as a Solo player, so you don't quit DBD

I thought you were the person that made a few threads complaining about salty teammates that would tell the killer where you were, because you were hiding so much that your teammates would risk breaking ToS so you can be punished?
You are well aware that your play style makes a lot of survivors upset, and that you aren’t even trying to be a team player. Your fun shouldn’t be at the expense of your teammates.
It’s so laughable that we have so many forum complaints of killers doing strategies that are unfun for survivors, but we make so little effort to call out survivors doing strategies that are unfun for other survivors.
Exactly what is unfun about it? I have the right to run any perks I want, as long as in game, I am playing well.

Wrong, it's killer mains trying to smear survivor mains like me on the forums, saying that.

If you are so great at looping, then you should be helping the team with chases more. You're raising your personal escape rate, at the expense of the rest of the team, and you're actively making their games worse even though you're supposed to be on the same team.
And this is the reason why survivors can't see each other's perks in the lobby screen, because BHVR knows it would cause a lot of lobby dodging. Do you really think survivors are going to want to play with someone with an anti-team build?
Again, I'm doing the hardest gens and I'm taking chases. It's not my fault if the Killer gives up sometimes if he sees Sprint Burst. Sprint Burst is a legit perk.
BUT MORE IMPORTANTLY.... I have over 1,500 hours playing Dead by Daylight as a Survivor Main in Solo Q. I have played enough Solo Q to know that IT DOES NOT MATTER how good I am at looping. Countless games... as soon as match starts, I run to the middle of the map INTENTIONALLY looking to get chased first... loop the killer for 2-3 minutes.... and 0 gens done by the time I am hooked.
A lot of the playerbase is simply bad at the game in Solo Q. And there is nothing you can do to save a bad team.
This is from my first hand experience. At least with this build, I ensure I am having fun too.

One of the biggest problems of solo q are survivors that aren’t helping their team enough with chases.
And survivors that excessively hide are a double strike against solo q, because they usually prefer to hide because they aren’t good at chases, which means if the killer finds them, the chases can be so short that it ends up really hurting the team.
Nah, I exclusively play alone. The biggest problems in Solo Q are just bad teammates who are terrible at looping and lose 2 health states in 20 seconds, lack of communication, people leaving you to die on 1st hook, etc.
Not my fault if the killer gives up on chasing me. Take it up with BHVR, Sprint Burst is a good perk. As soon as game starts, I go after the hardest gen in the map usually in the middle of the map. I do this every single game. Go straight for the gen in the middle of the map. I do the 1 or 2 gens in the middle, to cut the map in half and try to make it harder for killer to patrol and 3 gen.

don't worry, your hockey build get fixed when team mmr for survivor occurs. sole survivor+wake up is pretty good for winning in their current mmr system(for survivor).
nothing wrong with my build. I do gens and save teammates. Only thing is I survive. I find it funny how some of you talk as if Solo Q is a high qual experience. It's hilarious

Nah because hatch race can fail even if you can see it. Sometimes it spawns right near killer. Happened to me many times.
Sole Survivor + Wake up = 75% exit gate speed. With this build, you let the killer go find hatch, and you go for exit gate.

With just 1 teammate dying (which happens every single game), you get a permanent aura block for rest of game within 24 meters of killer.
And It's Solo Q. Your teammates will die regardless of any build you use. Sometimes the players are so bad, it leaves you wondering how they turned their PC on

It does now sadly. I mean it used to be just FOX but now Disney owns Fox. They would probably have to pay a LOT for that license.
Why don't they just offer them a percentage of all sales of the DLC? and then BHVR can make extra money on the backend with selling skins and outfits from the movies on top of that, like they do now

Aliens is one of my favorite movies, and the xenomorph is one of the best creature designs ever. H.R. Giger was amazing. If you like his art, in case you haven't heard of it there's a game called Scorn in development that is based on Giger's style. Looks cool. I know nothing about the game, it just literally looks cool.
my man, yeah the xenomorph is iconic creature, i love the franchise

-
Clairvoyance is better than Left Behind. Don't run left Behind when you can easily run a better perk
- - Clairvoyance range is 64 meters. Left Behind is 32 meters.
- - Clairvoyance also allows you to see gens, hooks, chests, exit gates, hatch.
- - You can Window Tech with Clairvoyance.
At twice the range of Left Behind, Clairvoyance can see the hatch from almost anywhere.

This doesn't bother me as much because it's obvious.
The most frustrating hackers are the ones who silently hack to see where you are, and then they pretend they don't have hacks.

Last time I looked at the achievements was a long time ago. Was there one where as survivor you had to do a full gen and escape from the exit when you're the last survivor remaining? Maybe I'm wrong and I can't remember.
That is literally impossible unless Killer goes AFK. It takes too much time to do a full generator before Killer comes to check.
-
Final 2 survivors is the worst part of this game. It creates an endless web of misery that manifests in many different forms. Snitching, trolling, stalling, hiding, griefing, etc.
-
you're not unlucky.
it's rampant and happens in MOST of my games.
i blame the poor game design when there's only 2 survivors left. there's no point in even trying to touch a generator at that point. so people snitch, hide, troll, etc.

I really really hate to say this, as I hate players who say this, but... Sometimes it needs to be said. It's not the other players job to make sure you have fun.
Plus, you say that touching a generator with 2 survivors left is death, but that's not the case unless you as survivors messed up. There is a situation called a "3 gen" where all 3 remaining generators are on the same side of the map. If you do this, you lost and it's your fault. Take the loss and learn from your mistakes.
I never said it was the players job to fix the broken game design. I said it's BHVR job.
I ran out of time and cant post anymore, have to finish work but I said what I had to say
-
@TragicSolitude said:
the hiding for 20 minutes because neither survivor can touch a gen without killer knowing,
As long as there's more than one survivor left, you're supposed to work on gens and power the exit gates. That's the objective.
Why would anyone even hide for 20 minutes? Why hide for 10 minutes? Isn't that boring? You're not earning points. At least if you died you would already be in a new match doing something. Not to mention, if all remaining survivors are hiding for 20 minutes not touching gens, that is against the rules and the killer can report the survivors doing it.
I've had matches that were still fun when it got down to two survivors. Just the other day, there was an AFKer in the match and the another survivor died pretty early. Still 2 or 3 gens left, and me and the remaining survivor actually managed to push through them, we never gave up. I finally went down (my own fault, I really wanted the fourth stun for that stun Tome Challenge, and no I didn't get it) and he even saved me after opening the exit gate. It took a while, it wasn't easy, but we managed.
How would you even want BHVR to fix the endgame? After two survivors die, the final two die automatically? It's an asymmetrical game, the side whose strength is in its numbers is supposed to get weaker as those numbers decrease. You can try to push through it or you can give up when it seems too hard, but doing neither and dragging it out by hiding is pointless and as I said before against the rules.
Sorry you keep getting teamed with jerks. All you can do is report the griefers who work with the killer and move on. You must be in the worst region and MMR bracket imaginable, because I don't think anyone else on these forums experiences this problem to the extent you do. Everyone experiences it some, but I don't necessarily see it blatantly occur even once a week or once a month. Then again, I usually don't go into super stealth mode; if I'm not going to be doing something, then I'm going to just surrender and move on. My chances of a teammate becoming pissy with me and outing me to the killer go up greatly if I start hiding in lockers. Lockers are seriously looked down on, and actually, screw every survivor who automatically follows me and starts messing with my locker when I get in one real quick at any point in a match, I'm just making a Flash Bang you impatient oblivious fool. Goddamn, people. There are perks that require getting in a locker, ya know.
There are game design changes that could be made. The other day I saw another thread by a poster, who was complaining about this topic too. They suggested that BHVR could have the Entity spawn a chest with a key, and the hatch, with 2 survivors left, but only 1 survivor can use hatch. Therefore, the hatch no longer spawns for final survivor, instead.. it spawns when 2 survivors are left and only 1 survivor can use it. The final survivor then has to use the exit gates if they want to escape.
I think this happens to me because I am in the final 2 survivors almost every single match. I rarely ever get tunneled out first because I'm good at looping and so they won't waste their time chasing me too much. They'll break away and go find someone easier when there are still 4 people alive, etc.
-
@ThiccBudhha said:
I hate the 2v1 when survivors attempt to take the game hostage, however... That is not even close to why solo queue is widely criticized.
We finally agree on something. The only reason why survivors are too scared to touch a generator, is because if they touch it, they die. The game design works when there are 4, 3, and 1 people alive. The game design no longer works when there's 2 people alive. Either one touches a gen, and you kill them, because you will search the area until you find them.
But this is the biggest reason, it is the root cause of most of the issues with Solo Q, because if this problem is fixed, then I don't care if my team was bad, or if it can't communicate like SWF.... I know that my destiny is in my hands and I can still escape. It won't turn into a "who gets caught first" situation.

My question, was there a second locker right beside yours they could have gone into?
I will assume not, but YOU made a mistake, the proper play was to split and go in different directions to create a 50/50.
If your teammate sees you go into a locker like that you are essentially selling them out to be bait.
At that point you are no longer my teammate and have become my nemesis. In the ancient traditions of my people you must be destroyed and i will gladly give my life to the cause to see your tyranny ended.
If your gonna play scummy dont let people see you do it
There was a 2nd locker right next to me. He could have hid with me. Instead he took his chances at being a snitch, because everyone knows 2 survivor end game is hopeless.

@FeelsBadMan said:
I can tell by your post history (as well as some of the other replies in here pointed out) that this happens A LOT to you which implies you hide a lot. Guess what: people who actually play the game (do gens, loop, unhook fellow teammates and want to power the gates) don't like to carry the permanent hiding Blendette who didn't do nothing all game.
If I play survivor and its just me and someone else left, I will always try to do gens. If the killer starts chasing me and I happen to run Bond and I see the other survivor not doing ANYTHING while doing so, you can be sure I am going to rat that person out. I don't care if I die but I see this play style (to wait for the team to die so you can take the hatch/gate with your Left Behind/Sole Survivor build) more and more. Those perks/play style is part of the fact why soloq is in such a bad spot since you are one out of 4 people going into a match with no intention at all to do 5 gens if the game doesn't go perfectly fine cause you happen to get carried by your teammates.
Saying "you hide a lot" is funny, it takes TOO LONG to do a generator before the patrol comes back. BHVR even increased gen times in the recent patch. There is no chance at repairing the remaining generators with 2 survivors left. The Killer will simply kill whoeever he finds first, which is whoeever touches a gen first. At this point, you might as well just walk up to a hook and tell the killer to kill you. It's broken game design.
Should every Solo Q game just give up when 2 teammates die? "Ah damn, there goes our 2nd teammate, we need to give up, games over" ??? No this needs to be fixed.
-
It's team play when your team snitches on you to killer in hopes of being allowed to escape, because the 2 man survivor end game is broken?

Maybe not call people with a different opinion then you toxic. Because it shows more about your character then theirs. O and calling yourself a "victim" is laughable at best and hella disrespectful to actual victims. SMH

The killer dominated you all. You are not meant to have a good chance of survival at all. That would be literally rewarding survivors for failing and punishing the killer for doing well.
No that's not fair, this is a video game and people want to have fun. If killer dominated the bad teammates, the good survivor should be able to have a CHANCE at doing something to escape. Right now touching a gen with 2 survs left is death.

Okay, so then report them for working together in that situation? But in pretty much any other scenario, you should go and repair.
You're a killer main. I can tell because of how you don't care about how it's impossible to repair anything when 2 survivors are left.
You know this.
2 survs are left = killer patrols remaining gens = if you touch a gen it's death.
-
@jesterkind said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/3184611#Comment_3184611
Not... really?
I could see it making endgame stalling a little smoother, and that would be a nice bonus, but that's not really a solo queue improvement. Hell, the same problem is basically there for SWF players too, they just get to talk about it with each other and make a decision quicker. It doesn't save you from bad teammates since you're still gonna lose, and it doesn't save you from the solo queue problem of no information or coordination...
Like I said, it'd be a nice thing to have, but I have to disagree with it being a high priority. I'm not even sure what you're suggesting- working with the killer the way you described is already against the rules to my knowledge, so what improvements would you suggest beyond that?
It does fix the problem. Because it doesn't matter what quality of teammates I get, I can do SOMETHING when there are only 2 survivors left. I can do something to try and escape using my skill. It puts my destiny into my own hands. It makes the game more fun.
Right now, two survivors left = don't even touch a gen because killer will know and kill you. There is literally nothing to do.

I wouldn't care of the griefing if the Killer would just kill BOTH of us. If my teammate griefed me, and the killer came and killed both of us, I'd say oh well, he got us both killed. And in future, people wouldn't do this ######### because they know Killer will kill them too.

@jesterkind said:
With respect, none of those things are the biggest problems with solo queue. The biggest problems are people just generally being bad teammates - in the sense that they crouch across the map instead of doing gens, not that they're playing for hatch - and a complete lack of information that leads to a lack of even attempted coordination in a huge number of scenarios.
The two-survivor endgame could definitely use some improvements, but it's lightyears away from being the number one priority.
Again, if you have bad teammates, BUT BHVR FIXES THE BROKEN END GAME - then it doesn't matter, because there is still something you can do. Do you even understand? You don't get it
You're posting about bad teammates. If BHVR fixes the broken end game, it won't matter. But BECAUSE of the broken end game, bad teammates ruin the entire match. You can never control having good or bad teammates, or how skilled someone is. That is a much bigger obstacle to fix than to just re-design the end game and fix the broken 2 survivor end game.

The issue here is potentially no one is at fault. Having been on both sides of this, I'd blame game mechanics, not the opposing player(s).
The objective is to escape for survivors, Gens just happen to be the best way to do so. However, in this case, the only logical the the survivor can do is attempt to hide and outlive the other player long enough to have a shot at hatch, as doing a gen is almost certain death. You simply cannot blame the survivor for doing this (and usually cant blame them for the 3 gen as usually, from what I've seen, it's the ones who are smart enough to not 3 gen that make it this far and their teammates arent exactly as smart as them)
The objective for killers is simple; kill survivors before they escape. The issue is, they can dominate so badly that it ends up impossible for survivors to do gens without dying, causing a stalemate where the killer cant find survivors, but the survivors have less than zero reason to reveal themselves. This is not the killers fault; they've done what they're supposed to do.
In the end, something needs to be done to detect and alleviate these situations, perhaps via conditional hatch spawning; if 2 survivors with 2 or more gens left arent in chase/damaged in, idk, 5 minutes? Then the hatch can spawn and a highlighted chest will contain a key (With both Killers and Survivors notified of its location) If not obtained in 30 seconds by a survivor it moves to another chest. If a selected chest is opened, it will close.
Would need tweaking of course, for balance and such, but something like this needs to happen, or the game mechanics need an overhaul before this problem will be resolved.
see, this is an excellent post with a good suggestion. i would say that the broken end game with 2 survivors left, is the #1 pressing issue in DBD right now. It causes a lot of issues, like snitching, slugging, trolling, game hostage, etc.
Your suggestion is very good. If after 5 minutes, nobody has been found, then the hatch spawns with a key like you said in a chest somewhere. So killer cant just patrol gens, or else he risk hatch spawn

This game's end game is broken. What do you do when there's 2 guys left and the killer just patrols the remaining 1 or 2 generators? You have all of 10 seconds to sit on the generator before patrol comes back, and then he knows exactly where you are and you're dead.
The end game needs to be fixed.
