  • I think an alternate solution is to just reveal SWF in the lobby, to show who is grouped. Then the Killer can decide to stay to leave lobby.

I would stay if its a 2 man. Im NOT ever staying against a 4 man SWF.

  • @Marc_go_solo said:

The problem with the perception of SWF is that, whilst there are some groups who do play solely for some sense of superiority in their lives, there are a lot more who don't try to imitate the marines and actually aren't doing any more than just playing a game and chilling; not bothered with trying to mock an opponent.

So there's an issue whereby putting game restrictions on a group of players would punish more for the fact they just like to play together, which in turn would lead to probably many leaving.

I do empathise that meeting the twat-squads can be frustrating, and for some the messages sent afterwards are just horrendous (which is why they can be reported for abuse), and it can marr the day somewhat. But the majority of games do not follow that pattern, moreover the minority feels much bigger because it instigates a stronger, more emotive response.

    Its always abusing voice comms.

Last night I played in a game where a twitch streamer was in it. I went to his channel to see his livestream and the VOD replay, and lo and behold, he was an SWF having a conversation with 2 other survivors in the game, coordinating what to do.

Does the forum allow me to post the twitch streamer? Becuase im not lying. I can show you he was a 3-man SWF abusing voice comms.

  • It's 4 bullies on discord, coordinating via voice chat to bully a lone player.

It's impossible for anyone to beat a good coordinated SWF group. They will communicate your location to each other and gen rush you. You can't even waste time chasing someone down, because as they loop you, he's telling the others where he is looping you, while they safely fix gens.

SWF should only be allowed in Custom matches. Go bully your friend Killer. Leave the general public out of your bullying,

  • just played a game vs an SWF

    My opinion :

    SWF = custom games only.

    SWF = custom games only.

    SWF = custom games only.

I don't get people saying saying he's low tier... I run into Myers more than almost any killer in gold rank. He's an absolute monster.

You didn't read the thread obviously.

  • @KateMain86 said:

Well I have 1700 hours played in DBD and in my experience Myers is overpowered when using certain addons. I don't think you've played the game long enough to really criticize it like this, but that is just my opinion. At first it can seem frustrating but things should get better the more you play and unlock more items. I personally think Myers perma tier 3 addons should be removed as well as the one that allows him to kill anyone while in tier 3 regardless of hook status. It feels like the addons just make him an entirely different character that has an unfair advantage over survivors whereas when using other addons feels fine. He's actually very fun to play against as survivor unless he has those nasty purple and red addons then I just want the match to be over (and it usually is very fast).

    This is the problem.

Experienced players with tons of unlockable perks and add-ons don't see the issue. But try from the perspective of new players coming to the game, buying DBD, and buying DLC.

We don't have the perks and addons you are talking about. All we have is base Myers, which has no secondary attack or special ability or debuff. And his horrible perks. And our only solution is to keep grinding many many hours so you can unlock things to make him viable? New players are being turned off.

  • @dugman said:

Replays have definitely been requested as a feature. I vaguely think that the devs said at one point there was a technical hurdle they encountered with implementing replays, but I'm not positive?

On a tangent having a way to replay a match from a replay file would also help them internally to verify reports of abuse or cheating, etc. They could have the system automatically save a corresponding replay file from each player in the match for someone in customer service to have for reference when they review the ticket. I also vaguely think they said something to the effect of, since there are third party programs that can record games, developing their own replay system to be built into the game is a lower priority. But if someone can verify if I'm right or wrong on that feel free!

Wait, what 3rd party program can record the match from all player perspectives?

  • Guys,

the reason I wrote this thread is to help you understand you are pushing away new Myers Killers from the game. We are new. We don't have the good perks from other killers. All we have is base Myers without good add-ons. Base Myers with no add-ons is not fun at all.

Myers is your most famous killer on the roster. I promise I'm not the only person who came to DBD to play Michael Myers. The same thing will happen when DBD gets Jason Vorhees. Imagine if Jason is in a trash state and requires hundreds of hours of grinding just to unlock perks to make him viable. New players would get turned off and leave. That's how Myers is right now.

I would LOVE a replay feature in this game. No joke. It helps everyone improve and brings more life to the game

I recently played as Killer vs a twitch streamer. At the end of the match, I always go to their streams to see if I could watch from their perspective... had 0 luck until last night!! Finally got to watch one of my 4 kill matches from the perspective of the Survivors! I've saved it on my PC. But it's only 1 survivor perspective.

It is. Working together is more useful in the late game, when the killer has a much smaller net of unfinished gens to patrol and you need to hammer out one of those gens as fast as possible, but in the early game and midgame, you want survivors on separate gens. Without Prove Thyself, there's actually a stacking inefficiency to more than one survivor working on a gen, and more generator progress gets done if everyone is on a different one. But the main benefit of being spread out is that the killer can only bother one of you at a time. If you're all on one gen and the killer shows up, everyone has to scatter and regroup somewhere else; if you're all in separate areas of the map, the killer will find one person and chase them, but everyone else will continue to work on gens unhindered. I play solo queue and I often run Prove Thyself, and if I spawn in with a group of survivors, I will move away from them and find a separate gen. Doing a gen with one other survivor is okay, since I've got a perk that benefits it, but three or four on one gen is wasted potential.

There are exceptions - if Ruin is up, you generally want to prioritize finishing individual gens over getting lots of progress on separate gens. Same if the killer has Pop Goes The Weasel. But it's much easier for the killer to focus on one gen than it is several across the map, so it's good not to place all your eggs in one basket.

In high level gameplay, where survivors are playing as optimally as possible, the killer needs to end their first chase very quickly (which is hard, because early on is when the most chase resources still exist on the map, pallets and unbroken breakable walls) or 3 generators are basically guaranteed to pop a minute and a half in.

Here I was thinking Prove Thyself was amazing. I'm gonna swap it out then.

  • @TragicSolitude said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2610128#Comment_2610128

Actually, it's better for survivors to spread out. For one, gen repair is slower than 100% per survivor when you group up on a gen, so two survivors working on separate gens will get two gens done quicker than if those two survivors work together on one gen and then a second gen. Also, if survivors work on separate gens, the killer has a much more difficult time pressuring gens and slowing down repair progress: it's easier to get multiple survivors off one gen than it is to get multiple survivors off multiple gens. At the beginning of a match, if every survivor works on a separate generator, you can pop three gens by the time the killer gets their first hook (if the first player to get chased is halfway decent). Be aware enough to avoid a three gen and you can practically guarantee winning the match right there.

but what if I'm running Prove Thyself?

  • @Laluzi said:

Like any group perk, it depends on your teammates. Kindred is amazing in solo queue, but hook farmers are still going to run at you with their dicks out and unhook you right in front of the killer, and somebody doing a rift challenge is still going to ignore you or race other people to the hook depending on what criteria they're trying to fulfill. Bond is the same - some people use it to avoid teammates in a chase, others use it to find them and pawn off the killer. In general I wouldn't recommend Better Together/Situational Awareness because you want survivors spread out on gens and there's just better things you can do with your perk slots.

Another issue with the perk is that the yellow highlight is shared by several other perks, Trail of Torment and Blast Mine off the top of my head, so survivors don't know what the indicator means.

Is that the meta? Survivors being spread out?

Because I disagree but I'm new. Working together knocks the gens out way faster

    I fully agree with this

Micheal Myers in DBD is from the first movie as the DLC was released in 2016. The original film is legendary and that's why i think it's the one that should be adapted from. He is not the micheal myers from any the newer films.

I would welcome a graphical rework and outfits portraying him in the later films but his gameplay design in my opinion is perfect and he's the killer i have had the most fun with.

Haddonfield could use an update for sure.

The perk designs are all fine in my opinion.

Your opinion is wrong and I doubt you main Myers at all. He is completely underpowered by comparison to other killers. His perks are trash tier.

  • @Sluzzy said:

No thank you, Myers is already beautifully done and it seems like they are based on the first movie.

I challenge you to play Michael Myers with ONLY Myers base perks + neutral perks, and no addons ((new players like me dont have a lot of addons stockpiled, nor do we have the amazing perks from other killers to hide Myers' weaknesses))

well, I'm sure that the fog will be a better place with you in it! 😁

Also, I wholeheartedly agree, Myers needs some serious buffs.

your favorite part about myers was stealth, right? I think you'll like wraith.

Older players are not seeing the extent of how bad he is, because they have so many perks unlocked from other killers, to hide Myers' weakness.

I challenge anyone to play Michael Myers with ONLY his Myers perks + neutral perks, and no add-ons (new players dont have a lot of them stockpiled)

That will open eyes at how bad he is right now and is in desperate need of a rework. He's the most famous killer DBD has, with a movie trilogy mid-way through.... and this is the state he is in.

  • Michael Myers is a terrible Killer right now, very underpowered and in a horrible state. He needs a re-work to update his kit and make him good. He is the most famous Killer on dbd's roster and it's sad to see him being the lowest tier of trash

rock on dude! I'm glad you're having so much fun! :D

if you're sure you want to stay with DBD, let me know. I can send you a friend request and help you practice.

It wasn't DBD at all. It was Michael Myers being so trash. He needs a re-work ASAP.

  • So I was reading the forums today, and people were complaining about Hillbilly. So I decided, for my first ever time, to play a Killer game as someone other than Michael Myers. I played Hillbilly, as a level 1, with only 1 perk, and 0 add-ons. For the perk, I chose Tinkerer, which ######### ITS SO STRONG. You mean to tell me, you notify me when a generator has been repaired to 70% !?!?!??? WHAT. And Lightborn is another one of his perks, immune to flashlight spam??! How the hell are these Hillbilly's perks, but Michael Myers has straight up TRASH perks all themed around "Obsession" crap that doesn't even trigger until you do stuff, and it's not even that good anyway. One of them even gives the Obsession a 33% faster time to do healing and stuff. #########

And then I go into game, and I have a secondary insta-down attack from the beginning?!? #########. So I have a basic attack AND a insta-down attack on demand. Meanwhile I was out here with Myers' stupid knife attack and the insta-down requires to "charge up" to EW3 and even then it runs out and you're back at square one.

Anyway, I killed all 4 Survivors as Hillbilly, rank 1, only 1 perk, 0 add-ons. ZERO GENS REPAIRED. ZERO. If ever I got notified one was at 70%, I ran over there and damaged it and chased the survivors away and didn't need to hit them twice, as I could just activate my chainsaw for an insta-down.

Can you imagine what I could do, if I combine Tinkerer with the Clown's insta-damage progress on generator by 25%? And then other perks??!?

What the F. Michael Myers is not "low tier". Michael Myers is TRASH TIER, HE IS "DO NOT PLAY STATUS"

They're not quitting. Devs knows that.

Yeah? I have about 30 hours into DBD primarily as a Michael Myers main. I am already thinking of quitting. That's how bad it is right now for killers. If you don't believe me, if I finally decide to quit, I will come back every week with a screenshot of my time played on Steam and quote you, so you can feel bad at lying.

    Following up on this,

Assume a new player plays at a match made skill of 5/10. Being new they are likely playing at a skill of closer to 2/10. So they will lose, and drop down, and be put into matches made of 2/10 players. As they learn more, they will get more skill and work themselves up to 5/10. So in those matches of 2/10, they will dominate and slowly be out into better survivors matches. So they will play at 5/10 against 5/10. And then as they learn more and more, they increase their skill to 7/10. So they start to dominate those games at 5/10, and start playing people at 7/10. This will continue on until they've reached their natural skill cap as a player overall, and stagnate at whatever skill level they should be at. It's the same concept as any game using a MMR system. Take League Of Legends as an example, it works the exact same way. Bad players get pushed to low ranks while good players carry themselves to higher ranks.

That's not how League of Legends works.

League of Legends is all about abusing flavor of the month OP champions to carry yourself. Nobody carries themselves out of it using bad/weak champions.

  • @Kurri said:

It would be easier just to not play. I am going to finish the Killer challenges, get my rank 1, then switch to survivor till rift 70 and then switch to another game. There are so many asymmetrical games out there now that are 10x better than dbd

I am psyched for Propnight. The weekend beta a few weeks ago was so much fun.

  • I am a new killer. I started playing DBD less than 2 weeks ago for the first time in my life. I routinely get matched against entire crews of people with red "1" badges, which I assume is much higher than my Ash badge.

In one of my matches, the entire team flashlight spammed me and gen rushed, the match was over in like 15 minutes, everytime I injured someone, they would heal soon after (I guess a boon), and I only managed to get 2 hooks in the entire game, with 0 kills. In the chat after game, they apologized to me and said MMR system sucks. They were all 4 of them with red badges.

I posted about how unfun this game is as a Killer, a few days ago. I have about 30 hours into DBD. People tell me to equip perks I don't have, from DLC killers I don't have. And even if I buy the DLC, I would have to grind for many many hours just to unlock a perk I need from a different killer. During this process, while grinding, I am not having fun. Why would I torture myself through this grinding process then?

  • You can abuse the flashlight by blinding from the side of the killer. So even if the killer tries to look away, it doesn't matter. You can just move to the side a little, the Killer can't see you and thinks you are still behind him, and now you blind him from the side angle.

It's toxic. Yes it is toxic. Flashlights should be removed from the game.

  • It's interesting to see this thread. I just bought DBD about two weeks ago, and have less than 30 hours in it. I bought the game to main Michael Myers.... and it took me less than 30 hours to figure out how bad the Killers have it.

I even made a thread a few days ago about this, as a new player to the game, having never played DBD before.

So my feelings are justified... the Killer community feels how bad it is right now. When I play as Killer, there is not enough respect or fear shown to me, and I don't have many tools to do things with. Survive with Friends organized groups flashlight spamming, etc... and don't tell me "just equip Lightborn"... I'm a new player and what you are asking me to do is grind DBD in this unfun state for 100 hours to get enough bloodpoints.... do you really think I want to grind this game as a new player just to unlock stuff so I don't get abused..?

Also, survivors just running past me to the exit because I need 2 hits to down you, and I can only hit you once while waiting for my attack cooldown... so a healthy survivors just run past me to exit....

also, the healing boon thing being allowed to be spammed even after I break it so everyone keeps self-healing and don't stay injured for long.................... this game is not fun for Killers.

Honestly, if the devs don't do anything, my stay in DBD will be less than 30 hours as a Killer, unless I decide to start playing Survivor. Most probably, I'll just switch to Propnight when it comes out, and only come back to try out Jason Vorhees to see if he's any good when he comes to DBD.

  • Killer is not really fun for me right now, so I started playing a lot of Survivor today.

Wow, The Doctor is an amazing killer. I think I faced about 10 Doctors today, and I noticed how much better The Doctor is, as a Killer........ is miles ahead of Michael Myers' kit.

While I was playing, I was saying to myself... "Doctor has two long range abilities to make me scream... which makes me do an animation and I can't use a pallet or anything during that animation.... the scream also give up my position, and adds a Debuff! At 3 debuffs, pallets disappear, my location is given away, and I need to play a mini-game to "snap out of it"... And to top all of this off, the Doctor also places a trap on generators requiring a tough skill check before you can repair again... and here I am playing Michael Myers.. literally just me and my knife and nothing else. What the f? Do the devs even play Killer?

    I wonder

    O.K.

I hope you find something you love!

Would you mind letting me know how prop night goes?

I played Propnight exclusively while the beta weekend was out a few weeks ago. It was really fun for both sides. Survivors can turn into objects in their environment to "hide", so Killers need to memorize how the maps are, so they can notice if there's supposed to be just 1 Liquor bottle next to that table, but there seems to be two. So 1 of them is a survivor in disguise, etc.

I played both Survivor and Killer, and I had a blast.

Really not digging the grindfest that is DBD, man. Maybe if I could equip some perks to help my Killer, but no, that's going to take hundreds of hours just so "now I can play the game!"

  • @BlackRabies said:

Yeah there's a lot more pressure on killer players than survivor players. Since there's no ranking or any reason to climb there's no need to try to play sweaty and try to enjoy it like a casual game not a competitive game. Even though it feels mostly like a competitive game it's not. If gens are going a bit too fast to your liking try running 1 or 2 gen slow down perks Whatever you find to your liking. Hex: Ruin/Undying are the strongest pair but can be destroyed.

For the suggestion about hatch appearing at start of game that can't ever work because keys exist in the game. As for Jason.... really IDK let's say he was coming to DBD what would his power even be? The Trapper is the most similar killer we got to Jason if anything a legendary Jason skin for Trapper could work.

Except the problem with that, is the devs made this game a grindfest to unlock perks. I have to buy DLC and then spend 20 hours farming bloodpoints to reach that 1 killer to level 35 and unlock his teachables. You really think this is fun in the meantime. Why is this game a grindfest.

I recommend getting in character and acting like a horror villain rather than a person playing a videogame.

honestly, if you had fun, I'd treat it like a win.

I think I'm just going to give this game one more day, and if I still feel this game is ######### for Killers, I'll just wait for Propnight. The beta was really fun for killers.

  • Eh. Just had another game where the Survivors gen rushed me and flashlight spammed to save each other and won the match in less than 10 mins. Nothing I could do, only hooked 2 times. They followed me with flashlights when I had someone on my back to hook. They were ultra-team oriented and running to each other to heal each other at all times, nobody stayed injured for long. 3 of them escaped, and then left 1 guy behind. I saw him coming to the opened exit, so I went there, and he just ran right past me, no big deal, because he had full health, and my attacks have a cooldown. So you can just run past me as I injure you once, and go to freedom because of my attack cooldown. How fun.

I'm starting to realize this game sucks for Killers. Really not having fun at all now.

Would trapper be sufficient for now?

A month ago, the appeal battle was over and that guy won the rights for the 2nd time. I think he is coming

Increase Crow response to campers around the hatch area. If camping the area, immediately get the 2 crows above your head.

  • Why won't the devs just let the Hatch be randomly spawned at the start of the trial, and the Hatch only opens when 1 survivor is left? This way, you are rewarded for patrolling more of the map to accidentally find it, for both Killer or Survivors.

Right now, the only way I can find that Hatch is if I use Bill's perk.

  • @dugman said:

On a tangent I think Meyers has some of the most fun add-ons in the game. 🙂

    • Scratched Mirror makes it so you stay in Stage 1 Evil the entire game (i.e. stealth mode) and move a bit slowly but you can see auras of survivors when you stalk. Look up Jump Scare Meyers for examples of people playing this.
    • Vanity Mirror means you are in Stage 2 Evil and can’t get to Stage 3, but you can see auras of survivors. Combine this with his yellow Rabbit add-on and he becomes a standard basic attack killer with a very small terror radius and the ability to see survivor auras at will. It’s actually pretty fun!
    • Tombstone add-ons let you kill survivors during a chase instead of just downing them when you are in stage 3. They take a while to charge up but once you get to stage 3 all you need is to get in range to hit a survivor up close and they’re out of the game. If you combine this add-on with his Infinite Evil add-on (which is a red so you may or may not have it at a given match) then it takes a really long time to charge up the meter to Stage 3 but once you do you can instant kill everybody for the rest of the match (!) Even dirtier, if you use Play with your Food these Kills from Tombstone don’t count as basic attacks, so you can literally build up three tokens with Play With Your Food, move at +15% extra speed and kill everybody you attack once it’s going full force.

Ironically I think Meyers is more fun using any of those add-ons than just base kit with normal play add-ons. Those variant modes of play for him are pretty darn fun though. 🙂

I didn't mention this in my OP...but the entire Add-On system is a turn off to me. I avoid it altogether because I hate it.

I hate the fact that I need to grind to purchase 1 time consumable crap to play my character better. It reminds me of Contracts in NBA 2k or Madden, total turn-off.

Hatch only spawns when there is one survivor left, so it's a random race to see who finds it first.

Damn. I wish it would spawn at the start of map with everything else, and it cannot be opened until the normal conditions are met (like when it spawns now). At least I could accidentally find it during the trial, and try to remember for the end game. This could work for both Killers and Survivors.

I've been looking through YT guides but the only thing I can find is, if your character is walking on air a little bit, that's where hatch will spawn.

Meyers is kinda in a not great position and is fairly outdated, and likely won't get you very far. You can play him well, and have good matches, but compared to what you can do with other killers, he's very low on the tier list.

The biggest reason you get ######### for running NOED on him is that he already has an insta down mechanic, so NOED is sort of redundant and almost a waste of a perk slot. If you do want to keep playing meyers though, I would strongly recommend getting the perk Bamboozle from clown dlc, or the shrine, as it synergizes incredibly well with meyers. Also maybe check out some guides on youtube, they can be very helpful. If you want a suggestion of who to watch specifically, Otzdarva or Nototzdarza is a very amazingly well rounded killer main and he has a TON of helpful guides and tips for every killer in the game, as well as in depth explanations on perk builds.

Ah, okay thank you. I just bought the Clown DLC yesterday so I could get access to Kate Denson's Windows of Opportunity perk. I've had a lot of fun running killers around from pallet to window to pallet with it. So I already have Clown, which is perfect. I'll get Bamboozled when I farm more Bloodpoints.

    Hi, and welcome.

I was in your shoes for a year, and I sympathize.

    Hopefully this helps.

    • Playing killer is something that won't just take you 20 hours. To even really start getting a feel for it, you'll need 10 times that. Don't worry too much about getting fancy for now, pick a killer or two you want, grab them and learn the very basics first. A lot of this won't come easily, and you can't really pick it up from anything besides game experience.
    • Myers is one of the weakest, if not the weakest killer in the game. I'd save him for later.
    • Good killers to learn with (imho):
    • - Cannibal: He also gives you the best first perk to pick up, BBQ, and is quite strong and easy to understand.
    • - Hag: not easy, but very strong once you get the feel for her, and my personal favorite. If you like tactical play, she's your go-to.
    • - Pinhead. Very easy to understand, not gimmicky. You'll get to know the basics of chasing and movement quickly, while being soft-carried by his passive.
    • - Freddy. Easy to play, really mobile.
    • - Spirit. She's very powerful and worth learning.
    • Killer is a frustrating role due to the nature of DbD. In this game, the solo role is not the 'power' role, oddly.
    • NOED is considered a very 'cheesy' perk in this game, but as you don't have any others, just use it for now. I'd grab (ASAP), from either the Shrine or buy buying the killer:
    • - BBQ and Chilli and Franklin's Demise (Bubba)
    • - Ruin and Devour Hope (Hag)
    • - Plaything and Deadlock (Cenobite)
    • - Pop Goes The Weasel (Clown - don't buy, wait for it in the shrine)
    • - Discordance (Legion - see above) and/or:
    • - Tinkerer (level The Hillbilly)
    • These perks will serve you well on most killers.
    • Myers is not a good killer to start with, and not a good killer overall.
    • Save The Best For Last is an excellent perk, just hit people and try to hit other people more than the person with the 'legs' around their portrait. It makes you do stuff faster, and playing killer is a game of milliseconds. It's not part of his toolkit, it's just a perk. Once you get to a certain level, you'll unlock it for all your killers (most perks in the game work like this - see above for some good perks to grab ASAP).
    • I'd invest in another killer, possibly 2.
    • Flashlights are actually very easy to deal with, once you get your muscle memory.
    • The second you see the beam look directly down or (better yet) at a wall.
    • Whenever you pick someone up, make sure to face the closest wall (if you can't, spend a second or two checking the area around the downed survivor). As you gain experience, you'll have a better sense of where every survivor is, and whether to be careful.
    • Every now and then, you'll just get stunned out of nowhere, usually by someone using fancy flashlight addons. It happens, just soak it up and keep playing.

    A few other tips:

    • The MMR system is a little annoying at first. It'll put you up against experienced players initially, and you'll have very rough match-ups for a while. Eventually, as it's 'confidence' in your rating increases and you stabilize, you'll see more even matches.
    • Don't be afraid to bring addons! Myers has some really strong ones.
    • This game is a machine designed to produce toxicity, frustration and annoyance. Hang in there, and don't sweat 'losing' every now and again.
    • And most importantly: your goal as a killer is to kill 2 survivors each match. This is the number BHVR has stated is the goal. Anything more is gravy. Don't feel like you've lost when someone escapes - remember: the final girl usually gets away.

This is a wealth of knowledge, thank you. I will remember this. I usually feel like I "lost" if I allow 1 or 2 people to escape. Nevermind if I allow 3 or 4, then I feel like I did horrible. But if 2 kills is the goal of game design, then I know to temper my expectations.

Myers doesn't suck, you just need to get better at playing him. You are new to the game and his stalk mechanic takes some getting used to, and some finesse. Having his power at rank 1 is fun for jump scares, but it is not powerful. Ant tier 3, though, you can insta-down people.

Not all characters have good perks. Not a fan of any of the obsession perks, myself. You may want to rank up some killers with good perks until they are teachable, and use those on Myers.

You don't get stunned by flashlights, that is a Wraith problem (flashlight save exception to that). You get blinded, but can still move, break pallets, swing your weapon, etc... Don't flail around wildly, but if you think you can hit someone, take the shot. More importantly, if there are people with flashlights around, don't pick up the downed player. Go after the players with the flashlights. Injure them and make them run off. They only have a brief window in order to get a flashlight save. Try to angle yourself during the pickup, to avoid giving them a good shot, and not when they are close. Pick up the Franklin's Demise perk when you get the chance, that will make them drop their items when you hit them.

Honestly, you shouldn't have to face an organized group like that at your skill level, but the DBD MM system sucks.

Ignore the NOED comments. It is just engrained in to the psyche of some survivors to always complain about it. NOED only helps you at the very end of the match, which you likely aren't getting much use out of anyway. It won't stop some people from complaining, anyway. It's good for more experienced players, though. Not a good newbie perk, though.

Keep plugging away. If you need to, disable post game chat. Meyers is a good killer, so don't give up on him. Maybe watch some youtube videos of people playing him. You will need better perks, as well as items and addons to make the most out of him, but don't waste them until you feel more confident playing him.

Thank you for the advice. I will not give up on Michael Myers, unless Jason Vorhees comes to DBD.

I have a question about The Hatch. Does the Hatch spawn in the beginning, so can the Killer find the locked Hatch during the trial, so I know where it is for the end game?

    Hi! Welcome to the Fog!

First off, lemme say I respect you picking Myers to be your main, as Myers is one of the worst Killers in the game right now, sadly.

Second, if you own no DLC to speak of, then yeah, you're going to suffer, especially because the majority of Myers' Perks are worthless in the meta.

Each Killer has 3 perks to unlock for the others, and Myers... Well, he has one that is actually worth something, but only for specific Killers.

Dying Light, sadly, sucks. The slowdown only helps if you're already winning the match.

Play With Your Food is useful for specific meme builds, but rarely sees use due to the fact that it relies on you potentially shooting yourself in the foot to get a speed boost.

Save the Best For Last, however, is a great Perk, and cannot be slept on. Being able to hit people multiple times in quick succession is fantastic, especially as an M1 Killer like Myers.

I would advise, however, that you seek out better perk builds, likely gained through buying other Killers.

Oh, and NOED is complained about because Survivors think it is incredibly unfair to face for no reason.

Thank you for the respect. Yes, I feel underpowered all game as Michael Myers... especially when I see killers like the Doctor! Imagine having abilities! Or good perks! Sigh.

Okay. I don't know why they complain about NOED anyway. It's a wasted perk slot until the survivors already finished their generator objectives.

Noed is neither good nor bad.

    Myers does indeed suck.

Play with your food? The point of that perk is not to attack your obsession. Grab tokens off of them and then use those tokens to hit the other survivors. Honestly, Mike is probably the killer with the best overall perks. STBFL and PWYF and commonly used perks and even DL isn't that bad but can backfire tremendously.

On flashlights, face a wall when picking up a survivor when you can. If not, if they're waiting to flashlight save, they're close by enough for you to chase and hit. If you know they're nearby, pretend to go for the pick up, they'll get up close to prepare for the save, then just go after them instead.

I feel like Myer's perk kit makes him shoot himself in the foot too much. They are not worth equipping when you consider some of the other perks in the game.

Yes, I've realized to just forget about hooking anyone if there are flashlight spammers in the game. Just try to down and injure people until they leave me alone.

Lightborn is your lord and savior against boosted flashlight users. I highly recommend it.

Will google it to find out how to get it, thank you. Did you know I am getting flashlight stunned FROM BEHIND! It sucks. Once I do the animation to pick up a downed player, even if I have my back turned, and my screen shows nobody in front of me, I still get stunned.
