It’s the opposite for me. As survivor, the killer kills everyone before 2 gens get done. Maybe that’s just us being bad but I find myself running around trying to save people off hooks rather than doing gens. if I know I’m going to depip every game even if I try I’m not worried about gens. I’d rather try to run the killer around and depip by being useful
I think I know the reason, why the games are weird.
They made a new ranking system, but they doesnt reset the rank.
So good and bad people are too high or to low.

I bet, the programmer included the wrong numbers.
What do you bet?

You can't judge without having the actual code. They can have section of "visual" variables which they haven't updated yet, they can have manually written description for each perk. So calm down and stop raging.
Programmer have rules.
Work smart not hard.
If I include the variables in the text, then I dont must update the text.
Because I can change the number in the variable.
-

That's indeed what i meant, thanks.
Maybe not_Queen will give us a answer.
I bet its in the varialbes.
Because it would make sense.
If i would programm it, I would include the variables.
So I just need change the number in the variable and not the text.
Its less work.
This is the reason why I think Thana has a number bug.
-
@TrAiNwReCk said:
I think Boss is saying that the text is incorrect, but the perk is applied the same as before the PTB.
Slow your roll and don't jump to conclusions, surely players will figure out if those values are true in game values or if they just forgot to change the perk description, but did indeed change the perk rates in game.
Im a little hobby programmer.
And im my eyes, its in the variables.
It just looks like it.
-
@Boss said:
Maybe this is just a visual bug?
Y'know, like how NOED in the VERY beginning said it activates on OPENED exits, while it was actually powered exits.
Maybe the values are correct when put to use.
Could be wrong, could be right.
Its in the variables.
I checked 3 language.

Lullababy + Jigsaw boxes is the only reason why I would use Lullababy.

The perk say "All Skillchecks".
But it doesnt work on all Skillchecks.

NOED is a clutch perk and not a crutch perk.
The fun thing about NOED is
- Does the Killer have it?
- Did the SV cleanse all totems?
If the final gen is popped you as the Killer either smile that did activate and yet you hope it will last long enough. As a SV you just hope it didn't activate. But if it does, you hope to come across the totem before the Killer finds you. I find it much more fun then annoying.
Adrenaline however can have a devastating effect for the Killer. After a hard chase you're finally in reach to get that final blow or you did finally down them and then HOOOONK the final gen pops, the SV is fully healed or back on his feet and runs away.
It was sarcasm.
NOED and Adrenalin are annoying, but fine.
I just make a joke, because many survivors are salty, because NOED.

No, because their perks work on 4 people. They work 4x as much. And really, survivor and killer perks are so different its hard to compare them. How did you compare empathy and brutal strength? They do nothing in common. Did you just see one had a small number so you went "hurr durr survivor op".
What about "Wake Up!"? It makes you open the exit gates 15% faster, so lets make Blood Warden last 15 seconds so its fair.
Brutal Strength is only for pallets and gens.
And the perk need a number buff.
35% or 40%.
Thana need a buff.
Fire Up need a buff.
Dying Light need a rework.
They are so many useless killer perks.
Survivors have just more "viable perks".
-
@Sharmarko said:
Damn this place is actually full of killer circlejerking.
The reason why the killers perks tend to have lower numbers is because it works on 4 times as many people. Like for ######### sake its simple balancing.
But the killer plays versus 4 people.
That mean he should have better perks.
Or not?
-
@NuclearBurrito said:
This makes me think that if we removed all perks then the killer would have the advantage

Adrenalin is a nice regular perk.
NOED is a crutch perk and only trash killer need it.

After the event during Halloween I now definetly agree with a second objective. Made the game more fun for killer (and requires ruin much less) and for survivor it's nice too, some variation.
That event was rly nice.
The bottles were survivor side, but as killer you had more fun.
-
@NuclearBurrito said:
Wait but camping a survivor (not counting the time until hook) takes 120 seconds, not 160 seconds.
So this only works out if you have prove thy self (and can double up on one of the last 2 gens making it take 40 seconds instead of 80) to complete the last gen in time
I think it was 3 minutes or not?
-
@Master said:
Thats why we asked for secondary objectives, being required to search for stuff in order to repair gens, fuel, parts whatever....
But it doesnt look like BHVR is doing anything in this regard =(

The killer perks are rly interesting.
But i hope that the numbers are good.
Example:
Corrupt Intervention.
When the game starts, 3 Gens are locked for 60 seconds.
This perk is interesting, but trash with this numbers.
I dont waste a perk slot for 60 seconds.
I mean, "We'll Make It" has 90 seconds for 100% healing speed.
After every unhook.
Thats just rly strong.

Go in dbd discord and may get a lucky kyf game cause they all want to test the killer and survivor out. Im don't have dbd friends but its one way to test the killer out with others looking to test it out also.
I think I will do this.
But DbD should rly fix the PTB, if they want informations.

I made it again, because its important.
The Devs said they want informations.
But the most people just play for 1 or 2 days, because the PTB is rly bad. Its a testing server, but you cant test things.

It isn't about "earning" the escape.. It is about the killer preventing them from escaping. Right now the killer can't really prevent the survivor from escaping out of the hatch unless they get lucky.
If your team is rly bad, but you did something.

This is my opinion.

Hatch Camper shouldnt get the hatch.
And survivors should do something to earn the hatch.

My idea is the same, except you need to be holding a trap to to get this mori. Otherwise you just slash them like you do now. Would be interesting to see 2 mori's on one killer
That would be interesting.
And they could do that with the pig, too. -

It would be a nice change. The issue I do see though is that so long as you're giving people everything, a lot of people are going to use the best things they've got available to them. While it's important to see what that'll be like so rarer add-ons can be balanced as well, if you can just use very rare and ultra rare add-ons every game as the new killer, a bunch of people would.
I think it would be best if you have everyone the same stuff to start out with. All perks, a couple of each add-on up to rare, then left the rest up to progress made from playing. That way very rare/ultra rare stuff stays rare and doesn't become the norm. Let's not forget that KYF is there if you just want to have everything and run the best add-ons the entire time.
Thx for your informations.
I think i will limited the very rare and ultra rare addons per day.
And yes I could play in KYF.
But first, my real life friends dont play DbD.
Second, its a Public Test Server.
I want play versus random Players.
But this is DbD, you need Rules if everything is unlimited like in KYF.
I just want KYF for public, but with Rules.
Alternatively, a competent QA team is better than any of this nonsense. This is a half-assed approach to testing and no amount of tweaking will turn random people into a testing team.
PTB = Public Test Beta
Players test things for the devs. -

Broken Keys from Chests need 1 Add-on on them by standard.
Oh rly?
I rly didnt know that.I think you misunderstood me.
I mean that i wish for Broken keys to have an Add-on on them by standard.
Currently they don't have Add-ons, you can't put Add-ons on Items while playing, and they are broken so they can't open a Hatch either, which is a Key's only use without Add-ons.Finding one does literally nothing but waste time and give you some Chest Search Bloodpoints.
I mean if you escape with it, then you can use it i guess.
But Bloodwebs should supply you with Broken Keys at a better rate anyway. Now i understand you right.

Yes. Absolutely. Let it be tested FULLY. In my opinion no. Hatch keys are rly powerful and not good, if you want to test the killer. Because the game time is less. And Insta Heal could be rly annoying, if survivors could use them without limit. This is DbD. This community need Rules, if everything is unlimited. You cant take in 4 instant med kits. Yeah i think you are right.

Yes 4 People could use them in the real game.
But that is rare and rly unbalanced.

I see rly many Insta Heals in the PTB, because Players dont lose them.
They can waste her 90 insta heals in the PTB and they still have them in the real game.
I get that, but there are survivors who will stack insta heals for literally doing 30 games in a row with them. Or BnP. Or purple flashlights. It will happen.
Also, I'm sure they have a way to see which perks and items were run more than others when pouring over the data.

Does not really make sense when things are unlimited. This are not live conditions. The PTB needs to be as close as possible to the Live Build.
If the new Killer can use the purple and pink Add-Ons unlimited, the majority of people will use only those. And you cannot see if a Killer is balanced well, when Players are only using the strongest Add-Ons. Then the Killer might be classified as balanced when using them and when you dont have them, he is too weak.
This would be just one example. The only thing that needs to be changed on the PTB is to have a client for it so that Players do not need to switch between PTB and Live Build.
Thx for this information.
I think I will edit my thread.
But in the current PTB, you cant test the new killer good, because you dont have all perks.

But these are part of the game, so if players want to test these things, you can't prevent them from doing it. (after all, no one is forcing you to play it)
Thats correct.
But you need Rules for the PTB, if all things are unlimited.
Because Ultra and Very Rare things can be rly useful(Example: Mori or Hatch Keys).
If this things would be unlimited, nobody would play on the PTB.
But the Devs need the PTB for Informations.
So things should be unlimited, but very strong things need Rules.
I dont play the current PTB, because I have 30m lobby times and every survivor use Insta Heals or Hatch Keys.
So I cant test anything.
Only in KYF I could test things.
And this is not a real Public PTB.
Because Players only test Private. -
