Bubba is literally awful. He is best used for facecamping people you hate, or camping the basement. Having to use up 2-3+ perk slots solely to get downs in a decent amount of time during chase is a pretty telltale sign.
Meanwhile, better killers can stack up 2-3 slowdown / information perks instead. The S tier killers can go into games with total meme builds and still 4k just fine.

Still not justifying
Iri head huntress is probably the most OP thing in the game. How it hasn't been changed after like 3 years boggles my mind. You should expect hate for using it. If that bothers you or not is your decision.

That's pretty mild to be honest.

not even close this one is and imo her best possible build, ignore the fact that corrupt is level 2 ive been kind of unlucky sicne i prestigied her to level 3 even if i have almost 3 complete pages of perks to level 3 also unlcoked level 4 this one is resisting to appear, also those are the addons i like most i dont like Mint rag even if its her best addon, the shackles are good aswell but i really dont like them.
https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/Z040X5TBRON3/haggu.png
so Corrupt for the early game and set up your side, Save the best for last once she has a couple of stacks she can snowball so damn fast because if they are in your spider web they are gonna go down like flys then make your choice for obvious reasons is one of her best perks considering how fast she can go back to hooks and THEN AGITATION why? to bring people into the bassement, if hag gets someone into bassement is GG most time, then you trap the area GG WELL PLAYED my friends....so this build is stupidly strong, is insane.
i dont like to camp thats why i use range addons if u place them around the bassement they will waste so much time that person is going to second state no matter what, worst case scenario you get a trade. a bad hag would place lots of traps around yes, but taht doesnt mean you are a bad hag that means you are an optimal hag using your power to maximum she is meant to "camp" with her traps, is important to create as hag an area, sadly lots of people are not understanding that, thats why hag is underrated she is not meant to chase she is meant to create a zone and play HER GAME not survivors GAME as the rest of the killers have.
Ok, so a 110 killer with traps that can be disarmed by people walking over them if you are not nearby. It's like her best strategy is to set up an area and defend it. And there is nothing better in the game to defend than a hook, or a 3 gen. But I replace 'defend' with 'camp' since with camping you can force the traps to be set off. You can call it whatever you want.
-
@SpaceCoconut said:
Sounds like a bad hag to me.
Spamming traps down next to the hook and camping it is the best hag strategy there is. Camp a 3 gen, camp a hook, that's all hag is good for. If you want to play a chase character pick someone else.
This has gotta be the next best camping hag build. You hook 1 person, patrol the hook, and even if they save in your face they get broken and are injured for a good 1.5 minutes and you usually get to hit them with exhaust. It's like the legion pin build but even better.

You're grasping for straws to try and justify your own inadequacy as a survivor. There's no doubt Freddy is easier to play, but you're trying to paint a "he's unstoppable" picture when that's just not the case. Get better. You have all the tools to do it.
Nah, I play at rank 1 both sides. I posted multiple videos on here proving that; as well as some videos of me playing snare spam Freddy and rolling over rank 1 streamers. He's the strongest killer you can play for the least amount of skill. The most boosted killers I see in high ranks are usually playing Freddy, because his kit is so strong it carries them there.
No killer is unstoppable, but Freddy is super strong and at the same time allows for really cheesy play since he can bypass BT. There is no "getting better" against him because literally all he has to do is spam M2 at loops and either you hold W and hope there is another loop to go to, or you go down. It's really as simple as that.

His counter play is waking up.
And what about when you passively fall asleep mid chase? Or take an M1 hit? Or in the higher ranks meet Freddy running ultra-rares and you are not even allowed to wake up?
I like how you say 'all you have to do to get BT is wake up' and completely ignore how he can proxy camp and always hit the survivor before they make it to the hook; always denying BT and letting him farm the hooked survivor easily.
-
I think it needs a buff if anything. I think you should just get it no matter what when you get off the hook if someone has it equipped. 15 seconds isn't that long and won't be needed if the killer isn't hovering nearby. But then it will actually work against camping stealth killers, Freddy, and 16m terror radius killers who beeline back to the hook but don't actually proc it.

He's low A tier. He can end chases within seconds. He can get rid of pallets extremely quick also. He also has massive snowball potential. If you play that build properly he destroys teams. I've had great success with this build on all the horrible maps like haddonfield, ormond, disturbed ward and midwitch.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1386047#Comment_1386047
I didn't do this because either I would have A and B tier being over crowded or killers like Oni, Doctor and others would go down to a tier they aren't meant to be in.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1386068#Comment_1386068
Thats fair I understand why you feel like that. I just feel like against better teams who don't heal and know how to loop they struggle. The fact they are small helps them in chases though.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1386084#Comment_1386084
That's just baby players. He 10000% isn't OP and can be looped well by smart players.
I can't say I agree with Bubba in A tier. Even if you are running nemesis / PWYF you are talking like ~60 seconds to both eat a pallet and build up to 3 stacks and then down someone. A minute of no pressure and then if the team is smart they will just start prethrowing pallets to avoid the nemesis. That's going to be 2-3 gens close to done by the time you are getting your first hook against a really good team.
I also think legion has gotten quite a bit stronger since they introduced blood echo. You can be getting off 3+ man exhausts pretty frequently and not having to deal with dead hard is just so good.

Then you're doing something wrong. Not tunneling can give a lot of pressure, especially if you make it not clear that you're not tunneling.
I'd like you to explain how. I can only think of a handful of killers that can get away with not slugging, camping, or tunneling against meta survivors at red ranks. Sure, you can play really 'nice' as pop goes the weasel Freddy / Spirit. Try no slow-down perk clown and it's a real different story.
If you jump into a red rank game against a good team with a weak killer the game can literally end in under 4-5 minutes. Especially if you are not running corrupt intervention so you have 2-3 survivors spawn on top of generators and start working on them 5-10 seconds into the game.
It's typical to lose 1 gen for your first hook even with corrupt on the weaker killers. If you don't make something of that hook, you are going to lose every time unless the team is boosted.
-
I been using two.
This one is pretty mean. I been messing around with it alot and the protection hits are hella bugged. Basically any time a survivor is near another survivor it will proc. Combined with PHs ability to camp the basement almost as hard as bubba (by spamming torment all over it) and it's really hard to save from the basement without getting tormented, broken, and continuing the snowball.
This one is just a general build. I love monitor on him since his TR is quiet to begin with, so with monitor you get right up on people alot of the time. Discordance for a super solid tracking perk that really helps with the gen rush. Save the best since PH M1 into M2 is a nasty combo. I find using his M2 to zone is better than actually firing it most of the time, so most of my attacks end up being M1. You can also save the stacks by M2ing the obsession. Corrupt because it's just the best killer perk right now.

Oohh I hadn't even considered Dying Light on her. That's devious. Great idea, thanks!
Both thanta and dying light are not optimal since they will only slow down gen speeds. The healing reduction won't apply since everyone just cleanses at fountains if they want to heal so you are not getting like half the value of the perks. I would only use pop if you want gen regression.
This one is probably my favorite. You get 3 power activations guaranteed and blood echo will really punish anyone who doesn't cleanse. Without the apples I might swap out blood echo for a chase perk since plague without her power is pure M1 and can be run pretty hard by strong windows or strong buildings by high ranking survivors.

-
They literally made leatherface 2.0 but with the chasing potential of spirit.
-
Just don't make a bad rescue when im staying within 15-20m of the cage 4head. But don't rush the cage when PH can get to it within 20 seconds 4head.
People will say anything to defend these overpowered killers; boosted to crazy levels to increase sales. It's like the hordes of people rushing to defend the old mettle of man or the old nurse. Busted, and everyone knew it, but they were too busy enjoying easy wins to want to admit that.
-
I don't think so, pyramid head being the tunnel king kind of exposes how ridiculously easy tunneling people off the hook is when BT/DS are not involved.
I usually don't get too much out of BT/DS anyways unless I am forced to use them because my team is in a dire situation. I probably get the most use out of them when the killer is camping the basement.
Say 2 people go down there, someone goes down to save one off the hook, and then they unhook the 3rd guy; their DS should deactive? I don't agree with that at all. That's literally saying the game should effectively be able to be ended off 2-3 attacks; depending on the killer.
-
I'd stay away from Oni for now. I've had a few games where my power passively charged to full and then I was unable to use it for the rest of the game.

Seems like YOU don't know what STBFL does. It reduced the cooldown of the first hit as the streamer was at 6 stacks already. As a result said streamer closed enough distance to get the second hit through the pallet. If it hadn't been for STBFL with 6 stacks that streamer would have had more distance to close so that hit wouldn't have connected through the pallet.
As a result that half minute chase would have gone for another half minute.
A killer who is all about chase power should NEVER have to chase for up to a minute especially if it's a survivor that seemingly plays without an exhaustion perk.
Anyways think what you want. If you think Pyramid Head is fine or even "strong" so be it.
EDIT: As for the skill yada yada. Don't give me that bs. Pyramid Head is easy to play after a few games. Even Bubba requires more practice.
Woow, so difficult!
The fact he closed the distance faster because of it is besides the point? The point is that PH can pull up M2 at literally any pallet or vault and deny it. It's like doctor but it actually does damage. And he can tunnel mori people out of the game in literally under a minute? And that's just what he can do with minimal skill. With predictions you are nailing people through walls entirely. But keep telling me he is a bad killer.
-
@Yamaoka said:

Again:
- This clip shows nothing impressive. The first down took almost half a minute even though the survivor ran no exhaustion perk, didn't run the loop correctly and dropped the pallet at point blank distance like a rank 20 which resulted in a down.
- the hit went through the pallet because of STBFL with 6 tokens and NOT because of the streamer's "skill".
- The second survivor was afk.
- only 2 gens left and all survivors are still alive despite playing like yellow ranks.
What - is - that - clip - supposed - to - prove?
Yes, Pyramid Head can zone survivors. So can Gunslinger but that doesn't make him a strong killer.
A down in half a minute is impressive unless you are playing spirit/nurse or catch someone totally out in the open with an instadown killer or huntress.
"Doesn't run the loop correctly" when you literally cannot vault or drop a pallet in front of the pyramid head while he is holding M2.
The hit going through the pallet has NOTHING to do with save the best for last. STBFL applies after the hit is made; not before. The fact you don't know this makes me question why I am taking the time to explain all this to you.
Gunslinger cannot down people who throw safe pallets. He can only injure. He is also 110% move speed, and that's all his power does for him. Pyramid head gets some of the best parts of his power, as well as a ton of extra information and also the ability to tunnel mori people to death within under a minute.
I have played no other killer in the game where I can routinely be hit by DS from someones first hook when I am going to put them onto their death hook.
It's a case of "git gud". Pyramid head is crazy OP in the hands of a good player. Maybe you are just not one?

See for me he's one of the more difficult killers to play against too, which is why I think I'm leaning towards him. I also like that he eats blood gobs.
He needs a full build and alot of experience to be any good. You need to be a solid M1 killer, to ensure landing a hit within the first 30-40~ seconds of the game or you are liable to lose like 3 gens without a down. You need to learn how to flick his power or you will be useless at many loops, and you also need to learn when to charge it at what loops to ensure a hit.
But once you have all that down, he is probably one of the most satisfying killers in the game to play. No other killer can demolish an entire team as quickly as an Oni except infectious fright nurse.
-
Huntress is pretty consistent, but is almost 1 trick material if you want to get really good at her.
Oni is all-or-nothing. He is the strongest character in the game in his power, and the weakest outside of it. If you screw up a power activation even once it can be GG. If you cannot land your first hit quickly as an M1 killer, you will lose games extremely hard.
But on the other hand, it's not uncommon to see a really good oni get 2-3 downs in a single power activation; starting a snowball where the survivors have to choose between gens or healing, leaving you endlessly activating your power and running out of control.
-
@Yamaoka said:

That clip proves Pyramid Head is weak.
He needed half a minute to down a noob that ran in a straight line and dropped a pallet at point blank distance which obviously resulted in going down (no dead hard, too unlike all survivors I go against) and the second person he downed was afk/not playing. What is that clip supposed to prove? That Pyramid Head can win against bad survivors?
EDIT: Also notice how it's 2 gens left and all 4 survivors are still alive even though he's cage-tunneling survivors.
Also2: He has STBFL with 6 tokens during the first chase which allowed him to get the second hit through the pallet.
Without STBFL the chase would have been even longer.
What else can you do except run in a straight line? He says "checkmate" because if the guy goes into an animation lock, he unleashes the M2 and they take a hit anyways. That's literally a full lobby of red rank survivors he is playing against.
He doesn't cage tunnel either; I am assuming he went over there because of the discordance proc that happened to be nearby. The guy plays super nice in like 95% of his games, to a fault. That's why he is like "should I even kill this guy?" It's just a good demonstration of how you could cage tunnel and someone is dead literally within a minute. Consider you can do that to someone who gets off the hook if you just make a circle of torment around it and force them to run through it as you return to the hook.
That's also him playing without what he considers an optimal build; since he is still leveling him up.
The guy plays pretty godly in most cases and is putting this killer above spirit, and I agree with him from my own experiences.
Anyone who thinks PH is bad just doesn't have the skill to play him. It's that simple.
-
@Yamaoka said:
Pyramid Head can be beaten by running in a straight line.
Maybe if the killer is rank 10.
Red rank killers have been using him to devastating effect from what I have experienced. You almost can't do anything in the PH's face. You just drag M2 whenever they are near a vault or pallet and boom, denied. Then you can tunnel them into the floor because cages definitely can't spawn like 20 seconds away or anything.
https://clips.twitch.tv/TsunderePoisedLemurResidentSleeper
Don't believe me? Here's some rank 1 PH gameplay demonstrating how not to be a noob with him.
-
Wah wah, devs added in an overpowered killer and a very killer sided map. IM QUITTING KILLER FOREVER
-
@CosmicParagon said:
Git Gud. The cage spawns on the opposite side of the map. If you cant beat him to it, it's your own fault
I've played plenty of PH games where it's probably a 20-30 second walk to the cage. So within like ~15 seconds I am in visual range of the BT/DS ignoring cage. Much closer than some gens I am sure people might have been on. Sometimes it spawns really far away, but not always.
PH is the ultimate tunneler because you can kill people even faster than you could just facecamping them. I've actually killed someone so fast using him that I got hit with DS from the guys first hook when I was going to put him onto deathhook (locker DS though, he jumped in before I could torment him again).

Dreede; a pretty toxic killer main who even says the pyramid head tunnel is the cheesiest way to kill someone in the game.
Byran_S; survivor main with like 6,000+ hours who usually plays with DBD tournament teams (who from the chat also think he is OP)

Did you miss the part where I said I was in a tight hallway? That's not like being out in the middle of the cornfields. I was not out in the open at all.
If the cages don't dispel torment and the hooks do, that's a bug. It should work the other way around.
I'm saying he's bad because he is. The time he saves getting survivors Tormented is not worth countering hook-related perks. His ranged attack is also just bad, unless they buffed it since the PTB...
The hallways on the new maps are not what I consider tight. When I say tight I am talking like doorways, the portions of jungle gyms where you can almost touch both sides running through, etc. Those are where you want to go for guaranteed power hits. Missing it is punishing and it should be.
The cages don't dispel torment so you can literally place a string of torment in front of a cage and he becomes facecamp bubba levels of able to camp. All of that combined with his strong chase ability, time saving potential, easy ability to tunnel mori, and added tracking / zoning from the torment makes him the 3rd best killer in the game in my opinion. Right behind nurse and spirit. And pretty much every rank 1 killer main I have watched play him agrees he is around that kind of level. If you can't see the potential of damaging people straight through walls and ignoring the best survivors perks in the game idk what to tell you.
-
@Orion said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1359115#Comment_1359115
You're missing the point. I was able to dodge it in a hallway which has the same width as an arbitrary loop. So, sure, you could hit a survivor while they're locked in an animation, just like every other killer. On the other hand, if they're running, you won't be able to hit them at all. At least the Trapper's power, for example, can get people who're running.
I'd say trying to hit people with it in the wide open is significantly harder than trying to get them at a loop. And if they are not at a loop you don't really need to use it anyways. It will always be safer and faster to hit them with an M1. At most loops there are tight corridors or hallways that can make it almost impossible to avoid. Predicting a survivors location behind a wall also makes it incredibly hard to avoid.
It's not like every other killer because you are doing it from range. And at the same time he is 115% instead of 110% like deathslinger / huntress.
Add-in how super cheesy he can play with his BT/DS ignoring cages (not to mention for some reason cages don't dispel torment like hooks do, so you can pretty much force torment at them with impunity) and you have one of the best killers in the game currently. It's almost impossible to avoid torment if you want to do any sort of looping instead of just holding W against him. Pretty much every rank 1 killer I have watched so far is placing him top 3 / top 5.
You saying he is bad because people can avoid point blank attacks is like saying nurse / huntress / billy are bad because you can also juke their point blank attacks.
-
@Orion said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1359006#Comment_1359006
Fair enough, it's impossible to dodge while vaulting due to the animation lock. However, if I was easily able to dodge it in those long, tight hallways in the Silent Hill map, I don't see why there'd be a problem on other maps.
I don't see why you would need to use the power there, M1 would be better. I have only been using it at loops, or when someone is approaching a pallet or a vault in order to threaten a hit. It's pretty much impossible to loop him without becoming tormented. He could be the best tunneling character in the game. He can also snowball extremely hard, since he can be running chase-to-chase with IF but also sending people to cages at the same time instead of having to slug.
Similar to how nurse and huntress have low winrates statistically but good players still dominate with them; I feel like a really good PH will be on par with any of the top tier killers.

If you are landing the M2's
On the other hand, survivors are capable of motion, so that's virtually impossible if survivors are paying the slightest bit of attention.
I have been doing pretty well with him. Some of my favorite killer streamers have also been slaying with him, and are calling him overpowered. There's tons of spots at loops where it's hard to dodge the attack or the survivor is forced to vault; which is almost a guaranteed hit if you predict it.

Killer players are probably realizing that the Executioner's tools aren't that usefull in a real match where everybody is sort of trying to win instead of the PTB where all ranks are mixed and a lot of players aren't really trying.
Under the rust and blood, Pyramid Head is just a very complicated version of a basic M1 killer.
I think he is strong enough to use IF on. If you are landing the M2's he downs people as fast as any other top tier killer. Then you slap on insidious for probably the cheesiest finisher in the game. You can be in a completely different room from a hook and still instantly nail them once they get off it into a BT/DS ignoring mori.

Yeah, I think that's the case. Pyramid Head was never destined to be top tier. Just another cash, a mediocre killer, mediocre perks, make money with the license and that's it, everyone will get excited for a few weeks and then is going to be at the bottom of the list when most people would want to play killer. Maybe one of his perks will make a meme build with some other, but that's about it.
I instantly think he is top tier. A killer with a built in tunnel mori? Along with a power so strong you don't have to instantly kick jungle gym pallets or shack pallet?
Mediocre perks I agree with, although I've been bitten by deathbound a few times already when my teammate gets spooked; runs off, and now i'm stuck oblivious in a super unsafe indoors map.
I've seen someone get tunneled down with him so hard the PH got hit with DS (locker DS) from the first hook while going to pick him up for his death hook.
I would not be surprised if he ends up getting nerfed (after a few weeks of sales ofc).

Take a wild guess.
Yes, as a new PH I'm getting thrashed by sweaty survivors who can abuse the weak mechanics of the game.
Does that make my point any less valid? No.
He is super strong. Like infectious fright worthy. He needs no chase perks and it's fantastic.
-
Are you getting that dumped on with pyramid head?
-
Clown demands perfection. Even if you are completely on point with the bottle tosses you will still struggle to down people in a reasonable amount of time.
Freddy is clown but strictly better. You want to place the snares at the middle of the loops.
Plague is just cucked by dedicated servers; you can literally watch the vomit pass through survivors with no effect sometimes.
-
DBD is so toxic because the kills are extremely personal and up close.
This guy literally posted a lie on my profile but I refuse to respond or remove it because that would disturb the wall of salt.
-
So you mean, the legion with monitor and abuse? The M1 killer that gets a free hit no matter what along with some built in slowdown?
-
I play both sides but find survivor kind of boring at times, so I usually play killer. Once you get into the higher ranks you will sometimes hit 3-4 man squads that only exist to punish you.
You never really know, going into a match, what you are going to get. 4 man death squad, or 4 potatoes, who knows?

Well, when you make a tier list you usually look at base of the killer and legion without the right perks and addons IS weak.
Stronger killers aren't as perk and addon reliant as the weaker one and Legion heavily depends on the right perks and addons.
It does not matter. You can run around with clown at red ranks and 3-4k on anyone who isn't SWF. I have rolled over 'competitive' DBD 'tournament' teams using the meta killers and an ebony mori.
Killers, using their optimal loadouts, are much more powerful than survivors can ever be. Legion is no different. The only thing that should give you trouble is a 3-4 man team on comms using all the meta perks. There is a reason the best killers in the game go hundreds of games in a row without losing.

At Rank 1, I tend to run Pop/Surge/Corrupt/BBQ on Legion. It's one of the most consistent builds you can run. Corrupt gives you early game slowdown to start chaining Frenzy without getting gen rushed. Surge hits the nearby gens for regression and Pop is for the gen you see with BBQ.
I can see the value of Blood Echo and Ruin on Legion, but they're more Map/Survivor dependent. If you get a big map with easy totem spawns like an Autohaven, Ormond or MacMillian you'll lose Ruin in the first 30 seconds and won't be able to keep people injured because they're too spread out to chain Frenzy.
I would never take legion into a game without chase perks. As an M1 killer, you can get run to the god windows and back with absolutely no answer. Against most pick up groups sure, that build is adequate. But against some of the best in the game? No chase perk M1 killer is not going to cut it. I don't consider rank 1 an indicator of skill.
The new ruin is a huge risk, huge reward. Any game going moderately well; it will seal the fate of the survivors, similar to devour hope (but it works instantly).
Blood echo is probably my favorite perk in the game since it negates dead hard, but only a few killers can really use it effectively. Legion is one of them.

When you use ff and vault, does bamboozle still pop?
Yes, that's part of why it's so good on legion. You lob through the windows in FF faster than survivors I believe, while also blocking them. Since you are basically an M1 killer it's invaluable for helping to shut down the strongest loops in the game.
Since many of the god windows (but not all), have been removed, the biggest time wasters in DBD are now the shack and jungle gyms. Bamboozle cuts the amount of time you spend at them by a huge majority, unless the tiles are back to back.

Compared to all the other powers in the game legion really has one of the weakest.Only the right perks and addons make him decent.
I don't think perks needed should be a factor considered, because once you have them you never have to run anything else. Add-ons sure; but if you are running BBQ and doing well in your games you can afford to be running what you want alot of the time.
Blood echo and bamboozle are just fantastic on legion, and help shore up two of their main weaknesses (dead hard, jungle gyms+shack, god windows). Nothing is better than getting off a blood echo, running over to some injured person with BBQ and knowing they will not be able to dead hard for distance at the next loop. He/she is one of the few killers I feel can afford to even run it.

It still boggles my mind to this day that people think legion is weak. The legion power is the most free hit in the game. All it takes is 1-2 chase perks on him/her and you are an M1 monster who instantly exposes anyone you see.
i'd put this up there as one of the best builds you can run in the entire game. You could swap out BBQ with something else.

I don't mind object when I am playing Freddy. He is so strong that giving out your location is usually just a detriment. Even with object, you can get trapped at almost any loop in the game.
