Its not about having no skill, its just a fun build to run sometines 🤷‍♂️

    Omegalul.PNG

This has gotta be one of the funniest builds in the game. I do it anytime I get the right offering. Fixated might actually be better but I make it a point to urban evade past teammates anytime I can.

You just gotta swap to it at 6 seconds though. I usually sit on stock dwight during the lobby.

  • She's good with a green shirt on and a yamaoka offering; even the survivors don't notice you. I've had someone looping a log that I was crouched at and both the killer and survivor were running past me, actually touching me because I was part of the loop at that point, and neither seemed to notice at all.

I've unhooked a guy, who then tried to rat me out to save himself, and he got downed in the same bush I was at and the killer just picked him up and killed him while also basically touching me.

Then I must be one of the top killers because I don't have any issues with SWFs.

You haven't hit any of the good ones then.

    https://www.twitch.tv/bryan_s

This guy usually plays in a SWF with a bunch of 5000-6000 hour survivors. That's what I base my judgment for good SWFs on. Not some noobs with 200-300 hours who hit red ranks rocking 4x crutch perks because the pipping system is a joke.

  • DBD on console is actually horrid. My xbox one X can hardly handle the mediocre graphics without chugging so hard it feels like a slideshow at times.

But something like apex, which looks gorgeous, will run smooth as butter. It's clearly poor optimization.

All cross-play will do is allow PC players to stomp on the console players; who are probably enjoying 10-20 FPS. Why they don't resolve the FPS issues before implementing cross-play is beyond me.

  • @Orionbash said:

Stop being a bad killer. Its as simple as that.

    1) Don't go after survivors that you find not on generators

    2) Don't over commit to chases

    3) Learn when to just hit and move on to another survivor

    4) Corrupt Intervention/Slowdown perks

    5) Play a killer that compliments your weaknesses. If you're trash at looping, play a killer that makes it harder. (Except Freddy. He's OP and Freddy shaming needs to be a thing)

    6) Slug if you need to pull people off gens in a bind

I don't like that argument. In reality, the chases are dictated by the survivor depending on what killer you are playing. All you can do is run the strong loops in the correct direction to deny as many vaults as possible. There are some mindgames by hiding your red stain, but an attentive survivor won't fall for them often and they can harm you more than they can help you. Against good survivors, all you are doing is encouraging mistakes. It is only a handful of certain killers that ignore the loops and allow you make plays on your own.

If you go watch some of the best SWFs in the game play on twitch, you will see them 4 man out killers almost nonstop. It's not rare for them to only give up a 1k for 8+ hours in a row, and they don't use items. A 12 hook game isn't possible at all with the majority of the killer roster into teams like that. High ranking survivors will frequently run 3-4x second chance perks each, which makes tunneling/slugging/camping much less viable, even though those are basically the only strategies to snowball at high ranks. Snowballing is required, because as I mentioned earlier, there is no time to do 12 hooks in game that can last 4 minutes or less.

Then why do You want data if they don't balance around that?

Bubba has more than 50% kill rate, does that mean Bubba is good?

You know you can get a 2k with bubba with 3 M1 attacks right? 2 M1's to down someone, facecamp them to dead with a chainsaw. 1 M1 with NOED, facecamp them down with a chainsaw. It's really as easy as that.

  • @Carpemortum said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1307814#Comment_1307814

If your teammate is looping then long enough for you to hold M1 and not worry all game, that is not a high rank killer. High rank killers end chases fast, or break them when they can't.

And every high rank killer plays perfectly? I've still run plenty of rank 1-2 killers for 3-4 gens even after the map nerfs. A 3 gen chase is barely anything if your team is good, that's like a minute and a half? If I got the shack into a jungle gym into safe filler pallets into another jungle gym etc etc, that is not hard to accomplish against a ton of the killer roster. You just gotta hope your team is actually doing gens instead of chests, dull totems, and hiding in lockers.

Sometimes they will drop the chase, but if there are no weak links on the team, how much is that really going to buy them? I usually rock a key in solo Q, if you tunnel off my weaker teammates first then I will probably get to key out. There is actually 0 counterplay to a ton of the loops in the game if you are playing an M1 killer, especially if dead hard is involved, it's just a matter of how fast can you get them to drop the pallet.

  • @PrettyFaceKate said:

All survivors have to do is hold a button on a generator and they're through the gates.

This is such an urban legend that it's become a mythical creature at this point. If you're facing rank 20 killers routinely, then maybe that's the case. It's not gonna fly when you verse a red rank killer worth their salt, not even a boosted one like me who goes out of his way to not camp or tunnel and who despises NOED and moris with a passion.

The idea that all that survivors need to do is hold m1 and, when needed, run to pallet/drop pallet/run to next pallet sounds more like the concoction of someone who's really bad at killer and who's never played survivor once without going down in 15 seconds.

I'd say the higher you get, the more odds there are you will be doing nothing. Even at rank 1, I sometimes do absolutely nothing but hold m1 while playing survivor. Depending on your teammates, you can get some gods who will loop the killer for the entire game and your only job is to rush gens.

Obviously that is not every game, and you will still need to be good in a chase in case you are the first one caught. But if you are not? It's m1 simulator alot of the time.

  • It would be nice to not have to run corrupt on every non S tier killer to buy myself another ~30 seconds at the start of the match. Against a good red rank team losing the first gen for my first hook is almost like clockwork, even if the first chase is borderline perfect.

On a low mobility killer it's common to not even be able to walk over to a gen to pop it in time.

SWF teams can already get the gens done super fast, but i've seen the sweaty ones also come in rocking a survivor sided map offering along with multiple socket swivel commodious toolboxes + BNPs. I had an Oni game recently where the first gen popped in under 30 seconds (looking at corrupt as a timer).

I had a deathslinger game today against a SWF where at least half the chases were actually perfect, landed shot into landed shot. The other half were probably under 30-40 seconds and that was still barely enough to get me a 4k with an ebony mori.

All that said, when you are playing solo Q and your team is pepega, even getting 3 gens done so you can key out can seem like a huge accomplishment.

  • Survivors who use a program to tell who the killer is and what killer they are playing before the match starts. I swap to the killer I am actually playing at 6 seconds because of this.

Don't take a chase with an unhook because of Decisive. But if they see you and immediately jump in a locker pick it up. It's basically just Head On with a 5 second stun instead of 3.

A good survivor is going to cost you minutes during that chase instead of seconds. Even 1 minute in this game is critical unless you have already tunneled off a noob instead of a veteran.

If the Obsession is the first person I find, then I make it my goal to tunnel them out first because they already have a hook state. If they're not, then I generally ignore them (I'll hit them to discourage them, but I won't commit) and make it my goal to one hook the obsession when everyone else is dead.

"I can't tunnel the obsession when the obsession is the survivor who sits in a locker to force DS when the game is going to last 4 minutes long"

  • It's trash, be honest with yourself. The majority of killers can't use it without losing 4x stacks to down the obsession, who may or may not be bodyblocking your hooks.

  • lul.png

    Kappa

  • I can tell you which perks survivors have.

It is some combination of BT/DS/Unbreakable/Exhaustion Perks/Adrenaline/Iron Will

Pretty much any perk beyond those will have so little impact within your games they are almost not worth mentioning.

  • I usually find Bubba to be one of the scariest killers in the game, not because he is strong, but because it's usually Russian roulette as to who is gonna get facecamped that match.

Run bubba for 2-3 gens? You getting facecamped. Go down with only 1 gen left? Facecamped. Just randomly unlucky that game? Facecamped.

If they do that they should also double tge effect. 4 secs per stage still isnt enough to make it worth running, but yes this is a good idea. MYC + Monstrous Shrine would be awesome for starters

I would not want it to be map-wide, since in my eyes it's a perk about the basement. But I think it should be a pretty big impact. Similar to how devour hope has a big impact. Considering to get consistent MS basement hooks, it's going to be 3/4 of your perk slots.

I think slowdowns are pretty boring. But maybe individual debuffs for the survivors in the basement? "If a survivor is unhooked from the basement and you are X meters away, they are oblivious for the rest of the match. If they are unhooked twice from the basement, they are exposed for the rest of the match, etc etc"

Maybe those would be OP but something along those lines sounds better than "they do gens/heals X% slower for the rest of the match"

The current MS is mitigated by a chalk pouch though which is a pretty sad.

I think we all know it needs the Tinkerer treatment: Completely new effect.

Best idea I have heard for it is similar to dying light. You get a nasty debuff when you get put down there. So it encourages basement hooks but also not just attempting to 1 hook them like the current monstrous shrine promotes (even if it is terrible at it).

Maybe not a slowdown though, something more imaginative would be nice.

Its not a survivor buff, its a bug fix. Thats like me saying killers not getting stuck in pallets anymore is a killer buff

You can quit sure but don't act like this update was a survivor buff

They didn't remove infinites. There's still plenty of them left within the maps. On some they changed, they literally just made it an infinite going in a different direction.

Why are you so intent that harassing messages in the endgame chat should be normalized? Why should I just accept being targeted because god forbid I played a videogame on the opposite side as someone else? Why is it a bad thing for me to say to keep things civil?

Because they are normal? You can play pretty much any online game and salt is the norm. Something like league, you will get harassed by your own team mid-match for not performing, let alone at the end where it can't even tilt you.

It's a game about getting violently murdered, and alot of people can't handle when their death is particularly brutal. That's why DBD is so salty. One of the saltiest I have played. Is talking about it on the forums going to change that? I don't think so.

  • Honestly this post reminds me of this video

"MY EYES STILL HURT AFTER THIS GAME"

When in reality, he got blinded like 5-6 times, and I don't think they made 1 flashlight save? Hardly even worth a video, beyond noting the fact all 4 survivors had flashlights.

Salty endgame chat is standard in DBD.

Why on earth should anyone tell you "GG" if it was indeed not a good game. I don't particularly think your build here is that sweaty so I am not sure why they are attacking that, but only 1 guy has a flashlight here. So unless the other 3 got real lucky with the chests I doubt it was relentless with the flashlights. And this post-chat is not spicy at all. Not a bad word, not racial/gender/genital slurs, nothing about your mom, nothing. I am not even sure why you are complaining.

It's a low key brag. "I got a 4k with bubba and people were salty"

They were RELENTLESS with that one flashlight, blinded me like 3 times at pallets. And they even clicked it at me.

Basically every survivor perk is a meta perk.

    ok.

Head-on is not meta. It's a meme perk for bullying killers worse than you, or for SWF.

in solo Q, the standard 3-4x second chance perks are way more effective.

  • Former pig main, she's near the bottom or at the bottom. Good survivors will just run off the tile when you crouch for a dash attack, so it's borderline useless against them.

She is good with double purple add-ons for the head-traps but what killer isn't good with double purple add-ons? Stock traps are nothing more than a time waster unless you are tunneling off the hook, and at higher ranks that usually just means you will get DS'd.

Her greatest strength is that random people will come up to boop the snoot, and it's up to you if you want to take advantage of that or not.

If they go in a locker then eat the ds. You're getting rid of it early so late game the survivor isnt safe

And my games at red ranks usually last like 5-6 minutes, sometimes as fast as 3-4 minutes. Load into mount ormond vs. survivors who can actually loop and not be using some OP killer and you will realize how busted this perk loadout is.

I'm not complaining, because I can abuse it, but that doesn't make it any less ridiculous.

Slug them its not 60 seconds of immunity its 60 seconds on the ground if you slug them.

    Ds is fine

    Just slug.PNG

Just slug the DS guys. Lmao. If they don't make it to a locker first.

  • I don't ever use it unless I am playing legion. Other killers have way better options. I don't even like it on plague because nobody is healing so it's only slowing down gens. I think blood echo punishes survivors for staying injured way more, and pop / corrupt are better for pure gen slowdown. I will use sloppy quite often though.

I would take a utility perk on hag, like monitor or agitation, every single time over thanta. A basement hook, or side hook, on hag is usually game-ending or incredibly punishing for survivors to deal with. I'd rather increase my chances of getting one over another few seconds added to generators.

I would argue M1 GF is stronger than Wraith. Sure, he's visible, but he doesn't have to waste time uncloaking for his hit, and he can go back into stealth instantly once it recharges

I don't agree with that. Base-kit maybe you could argue it, but with add-ons wraith turns into a totally different animal than ghostface. With windstorm he actually has a ton of mobility, map pressure, and the ability to quickly swap targets....something M1 ghostface has none of. Good wraith play or the swift hunt / map wide / silent bell add-ons let him get the exact same ambush hits M1 ghostface would be getting at gens. Ghostface is waiting like 30-20 seconds per ambush hit. Wraith can do it every 2 seconds if he wants.

You could say it's easier to grab with ghostface, but dedicated grabs are so jacked up I don't think it's a valid talking point.

Hiding the red stain during chase isn't a big deal to me since I moonwalk around most corners, and am in such a habit of doing it that I will end up moonwalking with night shroud up.

There's a few tricks you can do with the purple crouching add-on at loops, but that's very situational. M1 ghostface can hardly use any add-ons except recovery speed and the crouching ones. The others basically do nothing.

Meanwhile wraith could be rocking wallhacks, perfect information on gen progress, free sloppy butcher, or like 75% increased vault speeds with bamboozle to instantly shut down jungle gyms before a chase.

  • I love blood warden. It's one of the few perks that can get you another 2-3 kills on it's own. I usually have to open the exit gates myself though.

Fire up is meh, I guess it's kinda nice to stack with brutal or bamboozle. It's funny on myers to be leaping through windows faster than the survivors.

Remember me is just trash now though. I can't defend it at all....other than it has a pretty cool art work and it feels good to mori the obsession after you get 4 stacks. I miss the days where it could take like 1+ minute to open the gates with old freddy if you managed to get everyone asleep during the endgame.

Do you really except a new player to use dead hard and WGLF? Just to get all these perks to tier 3 is a grind and you also need to get teachables.

And for killer you pretty much have to buy a DLC Killer just to get some points. And I can't imagine a new player getting even 24k. Where did you get 80-90k from? the max is 96 but that's with perfect game 4 stacks of BBQ and pudding. We are looking at 40k at best with BBQ. Killers have a lot more perks that are needed.

Yes? I started out with David and did totally fine. And it wasn't even because I did my homework, I just read the perk descriptions of the starting characters and it said "get more BP" so that's why I picked him. Pushing E to dodge an attack isn't rocket science, for anyone who has played a video game before this. Neither is dead harding for distance really.

I would say survivor gets maybe 15k~ a game on average, probably more like 20k if you have a good team. But even then assuming you are getting 15k and your stacks that's around 30k a game. Say a game takes 10 minutes on average. Takes ~1 million BP to get a character to 40. So about 33 games, or 330 minutes, or 5.5-6 hours of playtime. 6 hours is hardly a grind if you are enjoying the gameplay. That's not even a week if you are playing for an hour a day.

When I think grind I am thinking something like WoW, where it is gonna take you like 100+ hours to even reach the endgame. You get your full David build here, that you could take all the way to rank 1, in ~6.

You said yourself where I get 80-90k, and I would wager I get around 25k BP on average as a killer in a match. So that's 50k with BBQ, or 75k with BBQ and a pudding.

  • @MrCookie said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1291695#Comment_1291695

In this game you have to have perks when you start to play it. No new player ever will survive without exhaustion perks for example and god forbid if they want to play killer, that's where the real grind is. Comparing to experienced players is not a good case for this argument.

David is free. He comes with double BP and dead hard. Spine chill is free. Resilience is free. That's already one of the best builds in the game almost stock, just needs iron will. Bill is free, also comes with 2 of the best perks in the entire game. So you level up david, then switch to bill, and not even 2 characters to 40 and you might already have almost a full meta survivor build. Just needs Laurie for the DS.

Killer can be a grind but with BBQ and a pudding you can be getting upwards of 80-90k BP a game. That's way more than you will ever be making as survivor in most cases. Getting 4 stacks of BBQ is way easier than 4 stacks of WGLF.

  • @MrCookie said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1291648#Comment_1291648

And if they do their research how likely are they to sign up for the grindfest? The game needs as many players as possible and the current way is not helping that at all.

I think people play it for the gameplay, not the grind. The grind is pretty minimal to get yourself to a competitive state. Everything else is for kicks. And honestly, as survivor it's not like you really even need perks. Most of their power is embedded in the core gameplay mechanics.

There's tons of players on twitch you can see who have like 700,000-800,000+ BP sitting around at any time, and they still go into their games with the same 4 perks and 0 or brown add-ons / items and do it for hours at a time.

  • Idk, I feel like he's the same level as most other killers. But deathslinger has to play almost perfectly to get kills at red ranks, because the hitbox is the size of a pin and you need to hit at very specific spots during loops to get downs. If you compare him to other killers played perfectly...

Trapper? You step into a trap he placed preemptively and there is no chase at all.

Nurse? She blinks perfectly onto you and there's literally nothing you can do except dead hard if you have it.

Hag? You step into a bunch of traps and there is almost no chase at all.

Shape/Ghostface? You get exposed and instadowned with no warning and there is no chase at all.

Oni is his power? There is almost nothing to do except feed him pallets back to back, if there's none nearby? If he can flick you are going down (and maybe along with the rest of your team)

Spirit? You already know this one.

  • @MrCookie said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1291625#Comment_1291625

If you play for the grind then you should consider MMOs. Short grind is the last reason games die off. But requiring to grind as much as this game does is actually harmful for the game. There's been a number of posts how people don't buy the game on other platforms because your progress doesn't carry over and no one in their right mind wants to grind hundreds of millions bloodpoints. Not to mention people who are new and don't have a clue what they need and how much they actually need to grind.

Then that is their own fault for not doing their research isn't it? I usually hit up youtube if I find a complicated game I like and want to get better at it. There's plenty of videos showing which perks are and are not worth leveling, and you can figure out what to level within maybe 10-15~ minutes of searching?

  • You can get the full meta survivor build with 3 characters to level 40. Bill, David, Strode. You get BT/DS/Unbreakable/DH with were gonna live forever to get double BP while leveling it.

You can get the full meta killer build with 3 characters to level 40. You get corrupt / pop / BBQ / and IF(not meta but still amazing) with BBQ to get double BP while leveling it.

Most of the other perks beyond those are mediocre, for specialty builds, or are only for 1-2 specific killers (like stridor on spirit or monitor on deathslinger, etc).

So it's really not hard to get a full build on whatever character you want quickly, even from scratch.

You haven't furtively played with your food much, have you? Those two perks give GF an amazing camper sweep. Coupled with chewed pen or any of the iri/purple add-ons, GF can do anything, especially camp, and there's still room for any 2 other perks.

Even a SWF can struggle if you know how to use cover near the hook correctly. SWF relies heavily on what other players in their group communate, which is typically visual-based information. With reduced TR during chases and breaking line of sight, GF can easily camp all but the saltiest SWF.

Considering furtive is one of the worst perks in the game, no I have not bothered with that. When I think camping, I think killing people on their first hook. Not letting people unhook and then going for the unhooker. And a killer with a 1 shot who can deny anyone from getting near it is the best way to do that, beyond having 10 traps at the hook as the hag.

If I was going to use play with your food, I would use nemesis. But I don't think it is worth it on ghostface since he could only down 1 person at a time with the stacks anyways. It is worth using on someone like Myers because once you hit 3 stacks you can pop tier 3 and then get 2-3 slugs at the same time. And that's about the only way you are going to have enough time to build all those stacks while having no gen pressure at red ranks. Spending an entire minute with no downs building stacks and then getting downs 1 at a time is never going to cut it.

  • I disagree heavily. You can use the common add-ons to boost her dash, but imo that's not why you play pig. It only works on very short loops, and many good survivors will just run off the loop when they see you crouch. You can try to bait a hit by crouching and then uncrouching but alot of the times they just get to another pallet anyways.

The only purple add-on I think is terrible is Amanda's secret.

The purple extra box, reduced trap timer, and increased search times are all really nasty when you stack them. It's actually impossible to search all 5 boxes with a tampered timer on some maps if your trap is activated while you are on the hook. So that's a 20% chance it's just a set and forget mori. You can bump those odds up to 40% if you tunnel them a bit (15-20~ seconds) while crouched after they are unhooked. That's a pretty quick investment for such a huge potential payoff.

Exhaust traps + mangle traps are also both incredibly good for tunneling. Maybe you don't want to do that, but that's what they can be used for.

  • @PalletsAndHooks said:

It'd be cool to see other actions max out or deplete the bar.

For example, if you run into ghost face, but you're facing the opposite direction, it could max out the stalk bar for that survivor if GF is in stalk mode.

Another example is generator explosions depleting his bar if in proximity?

GF is currently the 2nd best camper in the game, with Basement King Bubba leading on.

GF 2nd best camper? I don't think so. Getting revealed means you lose your 1 shot capability and then will get hit with BT. Anyone with a 1 shot that can't be stopped is way better. Billy, Myers, Oni are all better at denying an unhook. Hag and Trapper are also better if they are trapping the hook, especially Hag.

Infectious fright on monitor myers is really strong. Especially if you have a duration add-on. Pop T3 on someone, get a down, get another down or two; then you can slug and force someone to hit half before your T3 is even over. Ghostfaces add-ons are not even close to what myers has.

Survivors revealing him does more harm than good sadly.

He just turns around and slash he goes.

It's stupid and needs to be fixed or give survivors a better chance to run from him.

Stalkless M1 ghostface is literally just a weaker wraith. Should they nerf the wraith too?

You know every huntress is thirsty for cross maps.

Every billy main only talks about "the curves man, the curves"

Now every deathslinger main can go "the quickscopes man, the quickscopes"

You see the problem is, survivor can run away from myers/ ghostface/ wraith. Deathslinger's only counter is stealth, some select few loops with high + solid walls (so not killer shack), and putting objects between him and you (not including thin, low walls, or any wall with a vault near it, also not including most small map objects like rocks and crates) at a distance where it takes at least some skill to hit your target. Now take that and consider the nearly non-existent terror radius, the quiet/ subtle ambiance music the devs chose to use, and neutral color pallet, he can easily sneak up on you without detection and attack you at a max range of 18 meters

So yes, it's a huge problem. The only limit to this killer is whether or not the survivor can rush gens, and if the killer has basic aim.

I play ghostface and myers in a very different way than deathslinger. Both of them I use chasing perks on, myers eventually becomes completely unloopable (PWYF 3), and ghostface I use spirit fury. They are almost equally as uncounterable as deathslinger at loops.

So the difference is, you get caught by ghostface or myers and just get 1 shot at the gen you are working on, and there is no looping. Deathslinger you get hit at the gen after being ambushed, and then harpooned at a loop. I do feel like the down by deathslinger would feel worse, but the ghostface and myers instadown is more efficient. Both come with no warning unless you are running spine chill or premonition.

Unless you use a program that somehow gets picked up by EAC due to how it works, no.

There's little point in specifically going after crosshairs as long as monitor firmware crosshairs exist, as they're 100% undetectable as far as I know.

    Scopes.png

It does feel kinda ridiculous to use, but then again, some of the best huntress streamers on twitch admit to using one so you know...whatever. You could always use a piece of tape if they start banning for it.

The deathslinger aim is dead on as it is, the cross-hair is only there for quick scopes. But every good deathslinger shot at loops is a quick scope.

  • Deathslinger can get down to an 8m terror radius with monitor and a purple add-on.

Is it a problem? I don't think so. Not when there is monitor myers, ghostface, and wraith running around. He is dangerous up close (like every killer), but you can keep your distance with spine chill. Same as every other killer in the game.

Hag is a territorial killer like Trapper and if you’re not playing her territorial then you aren’t playing her to her fullest potential.

Saying that though, you still have to be GOOD with Hag in order to play her and not get stomped against good teams. You have to spend quite a while setting up your web of traps, knowing where to place your traps, and herding survivors into your traps. A baby Hag that hards camps with all her traps and doesn’t leave the hook will lose unless the team is super altruistic.

Hag also has HARD counters like flashlights, OoO, and simply crouching. Boring counters? Yes but you can easily counter her. I wouldn’t say playing Hag is an “easy game”.

And if you think Hag has no map pressure then you are delusional. She arguably has the best map pressure in the entire game because she can chase and juggle all the survivors at one time.

If you don’t like Hag then that is all good, many people don’t Hag for basically the same reason. I just don’t see how Hag has “0 map pressure” and how Hag equals an “easy game”.

By the way, who really cares what popular Rank 1 streamers say? People take their opinions like it’s gospel. Players need to formulate their own opinions about killers rather than piggy-backing on what popular streamers say. It’s so annoying.

I've already stated on these forums how I think hag is one of the best killers in the game, because sometimes I can be chasing 2-3 survivors at the same time. "Territorial" to me means camping.

I don't think anything is wrong with camping, to clarify. There are only 3 things worth defending in the game, hooks, generators, and hex totems.

But I also don't think it is a particularly hard playstyle. Sitting in a corner with a shotgun in call of duty isn't hard, but it is very effective.

I used to have this really neat little speech about Hag's true power I used to copy and paste when people said she's bad or campy, but I lost that and cba retyping it. But yes, you should concentrate your traps in one half of the map, that's common sense, that's not a campy playstyle, and that makes her have serious map pressure.

I dunno how to explain her to you, since my whole playstyle is very unique when it comes to Hag, but I'll say one thing, if you think she's THAT simple, and take the advice of streamers who don't even main her, you'll never understand her. You see, with Hag, you never want to commit to people, usually you will spawn far from survivors, so it's best to trap up your current location, and force them into you. This does mean you sacrifice generators, but she has a VERY strong late game. This is also her only chance against a flashlighter, to setup away from them and force them into her, which works effectively in my experiences.

Also, comparing her to Trapper is very dumb, Trapper has a power to shut down loops in specific, Hag shuts down routes and areas with hers. They're so different it's funny.

I don't think you'd get Hag anyways, since you obviously dislike her. So let's agree to disagree, since she's obviously not a camper, and there's no chance you would see that. Have a nice night/day.

I play hag when i want an easy game. And I have played her extensively at rank 1. Those are my opinions of her, as well as many other popular rank 1 streamers if you don't agree.

You need to know how to loop with hag, since you need to know where to place the traps optimally. It is the same with trapper. But as far as mechanically executing it after that? It is mashing control, or mousewheel down, depending on your keybind preferences, and then collecting your free hits.

"Don't commit to chases, set up your traps in one area" BUT SHE'S NOT MADE FOR CAMPING. Like cmon, at least listen to what you are saying yourself.

Some Hags play like that and win, it baffles me how they can play a killer so wrong. Hag isn't a campy killer as most people claim, she's very strong and is all about chasing and map pressure. It really triggers me when my teammates let Hags like that win, because they don't know how to counter her. Wish she was more played, as @MegMain98 said.

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1288122#Comment_1288122

Hag isn't 'made' for camping, Hag is made for map pressure and chasing. Her power is also strong for camping, but you haven't faced a good Hag, or played her well if you see her as an only camping killer. Against SWF with flashlights, I find that STBFL does gods work for helping me, because I can keep them off me by slugging and reset my web (I trap in bizarre locations so they don't predict them much) and eventually, with difficulty, I'll scrape a win.

Plus, my build is scummy in the sense that I actually WANT to be chased, since I run Thanatophobia, Sloppy butcher, A Nurses Calling and STBFL which basically means the more people injured, the more free map pressure I get.

Let's see, a 110 killer, aka a killer with 0 map pressure, who's traps can be disarmed by walking over them if she isn't in the general vicinity? Do I want to distribute them all over the map, and have the majority of them be useless.....or do I want to concentrate them in one area where I can teleport to any single one of them if they are triggered? Aka a 3 gen or near a hook? Hmmm, tough choices.

That's like saying trapper isn't made for camping. Even the most beloved trapper mains (otzdarva) describes the trapper as "territorial" (aka someone who camps). Ohtofu, another beloved streamer, describes the hags power as "good for camping" in his tier list.

Let me spend 30-60 seconds setting up traps and then walk away from them so they are worthless. During a chase, anyone with a flashlight can disarm your traps before they are triggered, rendering your power worthless if they are any good. And even a yellow flashlight can disarm like 20+ traps with it's default charges. That means to get anyone using one, they have to step into the traps unaware.

Sure, you can do some battle hag moves and pretend you are going to teleport to a trap during a chase but then not take it and omg 9000 IQ mindgame, but that's such a suboptimal playstyle it's hardly worth mentioning. Sorry to break it to you. If you want to chase people down, play another killer who is designed for it.
