"It can make the game looks so much brighter."

This game is already Dead in Daylight. No need to make it even brighter, you can see from one end of the Map until at least the Center of the Map. Like, you can be in one line of the Shack and see everything in the Iron Works quite clearly.

Or almost full Map on Thompsons House.

Well I had problems with some maps beeing too dark, maybe my personal problem with eyes or something.

With freestyle settings I can see survs hiding somewhere from mile away, even on yamaoko maps.

Honestly, for me, it makes finding survivors way easier.

A nurse as good as this one who absolutely demolished the survivors didn't get more than a 2k? Is it the generators not being pressured as much as you want them to be? Is it generator times being too quick? Is it nurse being a bad killer?

Because after watching if you can play nurse as well as this you should at least manage to get a 3k. You deserve it for learning the mechanics of nurse and having great game sense. No "crutch" perks were used , the man played as fairly as he could, slugging when needed to apply pressure and even giving a nice gg at the end.

If a top tier nurse struggled to get a 2k against a team of which they ended the chases of fairly quickly then God help the rest of us

He is good Nurse, but he plays too "fairly", the way survivor wants.

To get 4K you sometimes have to play dirty, get one surv out of game asap.

They simply have more ways/chances to make survivors lives a living hell. You see too many items, bring Franklin's, take their items, and DC. See a team that may look like a SWF, that's probably not, bring Ebony Mori. Gets looped by a survivor for 5 gens because they're better than you, face camp. So many opportunities to make the game so terrible for Survivors. Sure survivors can what, Tea bag, that's it. Sure there is doing gens, their one and only objective, and flashlight clicking, most of the time to take agro off of someone being tunneled. Killers simply have more ways to make Survivors hate their lives, and they take it more often. Before you say I have a survivor biased, I don't. I play Killer and Survivor equally, have been bullied as both, and gotten to rank 1 as both. I see both sides equally, but whenever I want to be toxic, it's usually just slap on an Ebony Mori and OP addons. Survivors can't do that, all they can do is bring a key, which imo isn't toxic, just op.

Sir, may i ask you to use some paragraphs next time.

It is not easy to read that wall of text.

  • If we don't count Freddy and Myers, since they are immortal...

A lot of people says Oni, but he gets his power from blood of survivors and i don't think its easy to make killers bleed.

But for the title, i say Huntress. She can just put a hatchet right to the head of anyone, from the distance.

Second might be Spirit for her ability of unpredictable attacks.

Hag and Nurse, as someone mentioned, are small and weak, no threat for killers.

  • BBQ, Nurses calling, Shadowborn.

    Fourth perk is optional.

Don't know what either of these perks do? Keep reading. If you already know, skip to the "🔪" emoji. Pop Goes The Weasel/PGTW makes it so that the next generator you kick after hooking someone immediatly regress 25% of the generator.

Thrilling Tremors blocks all generators not being worked on when you pick someone up.

🔪 So they both seem like good, similar perks. Right? Well, almost. PGTW is VERY strong and it works EVERY time you hook someone. Thrilling Tremors has a cool down. "But so does PGTW!" I hear you add. No, it doesn't. it has a TIMER, NOT a cooldown. There's a difference. The timer gives you the amount of time you can kick the gen.

Let's use an example. I have PGTW active and ready to kick. I down another survivor and hook them. The timer will RESET.

I'm using Thrilling Tremors. I down someone, pick them up, and gens are blocked. The perk goes into cooldown. I down someone else, pick them up, and the perk doesn't activate. Because it's ON cooldown.

This was hard to explain, but I hope I got the point across and that you understood.

PGTW has the cooldown and its actually time it take killer to catch and hook another survivor.

That would completely kill them. Unbreakable would become No Mither level, Devour would be complete trash, MoM would get nerfed again, all detection perks like Nurses or BBQ would get nerfed too, not to mention Distortion becoming ######### tier because of that.

All of that to slightly nerf NOED? No thank you

Then, to keep it fair, don´t touch any of them, including NOED.

  • I am fine for NOED to give you notification once it activates as long as other perks do the same.

Including DS, borrowed time, dead hard, mettle of man etc.

Same will apply to devour hope, huntress lullaby etc.

Yes but my main problem is killers can start camping from the second they put someone to the floor and camping isnt unavoidable in most of my time playing this game ive never seen anyone genrush unless they are pushed to do it

Try killer in red ranks, its basically genrush party every game.

Devs said, after ruin nerf killers need to adapt, so they adapted.

Gen rushing is also unavoidable, you can chase them out of gens as much as you want, but effectively catch only one of them.

You need to look at the problem from both perspectives.

I know camping is not fun for survivors yet they genrush to make the game frustrating for killers.

Killery also play DBD to have fun you know.

  • @NovaliumTS said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1056083#Comment_1056083

Every killer has a way to get a 4k fairly but when im seeing killers like spirit, doctor, ghost face and hillbilly camping then that definitely means they dont have the mobility to apply pressure so camping for killers like them is ok, face campers are ok? face it camping is just wrong. I just mainly find it ironic how killers can all agree that all survivors genrush but you simply cannot look at the fact the reason they genrush is because of killers like you

    Then its neverending circle.

Killers camp because survs genrush or sometimes for beeing toxic.

Survs genrush because killer camps or tunnels or just because they can.

There are two sides of coins and making them even you can't nerf or punish only one side, but both.

People need to understand that camping is sometimes only way to lure survivors from generators and increasing their change to fullfill their objective = killing.

  • @MegMain98 said:

Let’s say hypothetically a player can play any killer to their fullest potential and is the best at every killer. It’s Nurse.

Even in her state at the moment she can apply pressure to the map (with recharge add-ons) and end chases super quickly. I’ve seen Umbra and Zubat still destroy teams with Nurse, she’s still extremely good in my opinion. She’s just not overly powerful above the rest. She is on a more equal level compared to the other killers.

Spirit is also still extremely good but sounds are holding her back to her fullest potential.

Problems with nurses they usually get genrushed.

Making a bad blink with her is way too punishing.

  • Trapper.

Replace his bear traps with land mines.

Every step on them will remove one limb.

Im neither, im rank 11 surv and rank 9 killer sorry if not resolving to cheap tactics makes me a bad killer

Then you should already know that camping actually apply pressure and that some killers don't have mobility to aplly it by playing "fairly".

So please, stop writing non-senses, thank you.

  • Then in addition survivors can't work on another generator for 30 seconds after one is done.

Yeah, I play killer sometimes to complete challenges and because I get instant matches as killer

but i’m rank 12 killer and the game put me with rank 1-4 survivors, so I can’t do much if i’m not playing my best killer (Wraith)

if i play Legion or Ghostface (for example) I can’t do nothing and i end up with 0-1 kills almost everytime 😅

also.. Thank you all for your responses ^^

Just play survivor in morning (faster queues) and killer at the evening.

    Profit.

Ruin in all fairness was a trash perk anyway and face camping has been here since the start and even with new ruin, new ruin can be used really well if you know how to use it yall just whine about it cos most of you dont know how to apply pressure for its ability to come into affect (and yes i have used it it works really well with trapper)

You sound like either surv main or legit rank 20 killer.

  • @NovaliumTS said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1055875#Comment_1055875

That just sound way to unfair for survivors for 60 seconds of basically a survivor sat doing nothing, if you are seriously needing survivors to not be able to do gens for a minute you need to learn how to apply gen pressure and if thats the reason why killers tunnel and camp just so that one survivor cant touch a gen then those killers seriously need to go find another game

I don't need to apply pressure, i can facecamp, wait for others to come.

You want killer to not camp, and since camping was many times stated as legit strategy, you need to convince killer not to camp.

Simply not punish him, instead reward him for not doing it.

  • @ppo8820 said:

They need to make it so your timer (struggle) stops ticking down when killer is within a certain distance. Not a crazy distance but enough to monitor face camping and give everyone a chance to be rescued and play the game. That way they can camp all day, but you won’t die until they leave. It would end face camping as we know it.

I am fine with that if the unhooked survivor can´t touch generator for atleast 60 seconds.

And reward killer for not camping, give him about 500 hook points for leaving the hook.

  • @ppo8820 said:

I remember when I started F13, I was annoyed and died a bit but eventually got good and reached top rank. With DBD I’ve been playing for over 7 months and most games just aren’t fun....killer or survivor. It has to be the most frustrating game I’ve ever played.

    What is hypocrite?

U want me to play No Mither with an instaheal to please the killer?

Toolboxes, Perks, Servers, bad start, tbags - All these are valid reasons to DC? I never DC'ed on purpose in 5k hours playtime. I have no understanding for such childish behaviour, no matter what role goes for the DC.

I'm genuinely shocked by the mindset of the majority in this thread and i really hope, the devs find a solution to this.

There is literally "leave the match" button in the game, so why do they need any excuse?

Killers are joining game to have fun, same as survivors.

WIth some builds and behaviour you are removing any bit left of fun for them, so don´t be suprised...nobody wants frustrating match.

Did you even read what I wrote?

This fix would not affect camping as a "strategy to depip", it would just make it completely useless, because if surviviors did the gens then early game camping would make no sense.

Just because it is a "strategy" does not mean there should not be counters to it.

I did, and one of the reason for camping is survs not knowing killer is doing it, so it would have big impact.

This is reason why devs made perks like Kindred.

  • @Archimedes5000 said:

Allow surviviors to SCREAM while on hook.

SCREAM can be heard in 48m (or maybe 36m) radius. SCREAM has a 30s cooldown.

    There are 2 SCREAMs

Emote button 1: DO THE #$&@ GENS 4HEADS!!

    Emote button 2: HELP! MEEE!!

This way you could tell your teammates to repair generators instead of giving the camper an easy win.

Ultimate foolproof solution. And it does not hurt the killer, well except for their ears.

Camping was already stated as legit strategy.

    No need for any solution.

  • Well then it is probably bug, hard to tell.

I got the score and the stack to wglf, so as far as the gane says yes.

If u get downed right after unhooking, u got probably stack for protection hit...if u unhooked that survivor while in terror radius u won't get "safe unhook".

  • Was it actually safe unhook?

    Not guaranteed.

A Hag with Make your Choice can do that. Or a Hillbilly, TIer 3 Myers, Bubba (even if you should not unhook in front of a Bubba anyway).

Even then killer has to down unhooker, then hook him and then he can start chase.

It is like 10 second if done properly.

Don't know how you but i can run pretty good distance during this time.

  • @AsePlayer said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1039777#Comment_1039777

We're talking about the guy getting unhooked getting immediately downed and then the unhooker gets hooked first. Then the guy who originally went down gets hooked again while he was tunneled. No DS.

If unhooker gets downed right away there is someting done wrong.

That might only happen with chainsaw guys or some addons on others.

This is not tunneling, but camping and its another story.

In these cases i would recomend Kindred.

  • @Waffleyumboy said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1039777#Comment_1039777

The killer can instantly down the unhooker if they are close enough when the unhook happens if I'm not mistaken. And that's just while healthy.

How? He needs two hits to down the unhooker..two hits are like tens meters of chase..unhooked one should already be far away.

  • Once killer focus on someone else a.k.a unhooker its not tunneling.

If killer is still able to catch even the unhooked one after downing unhooker, its unhooked one mistake, he has enough time to run away.

It is just not tunneling anymore.

I understand Ruin change was made to make newer players have a less hard time to fix generators but goddamn low rank killers don't use ruin at all because they don't even have hag

Before I atleast would try to look for the ruin and it was more fun trying to focus and hit on those great skillchecks to not get ruin and now I just need to hold M1 and put just a little focus and hit it and then go back on my phone to view reddit

I'm saying this as a long time player:

I dont know if this game is still in the horror category but with how easily the survivors can defend themselves it kinda removes the horror value dont you think? At most survivors get pissed at you more then fear you. Stealth killers kinda fix this since you can be on a gen and suddenly you just get grabbed off it or suddenly get smacked by a michael with no tr. Michael is honestly the only killer that scares me because of his tier 1.

I am still aftaid of killers, but i am rank 18 surv so its okay i gues...meanwhile i am rank 1 as killer and I am also scared lol xD

Red ranks 4 stack swfs actually scares me more then killers, while playing surv.

  • @TragicSolitude said:

    Yes, I do that.

If a killer is struggling and doesn't resort to camping or tunneling, then I may give a free hook or sacrifice. There have been a few matches where I "messed up" at the exit gate because I felt bad for running them around so long during a match or because someone got a flashlight/pallet save. With the way matchmaking has been lately, I find myself going against rank 20 killers with one perk, and they have no chance against even rank 16 survivors.

I don't mind rewarding killers for playing in a way that's nice, otherwise they'll get frustrated and either stop playing nice or stop playing altogether.

Good to hear there are still people, whose only objective isn't to bully killers.

    More people like you please.

  • @Snow_Lep said:

I'm confused here. General idea is that keys are toxic, right?

I bring a Skeleton Key, Weaved Ring and Milky Glass into a match. Before the timer loads, my 3 other teammates all switch to other characters toting toolboxes.

I get found, tunneled, and proceed to be facecamped within the first 2 minutes.

Small addition, only reason he caught me was due to Dead Hard being a wonderful perk and giving the full indication it worked, even though we all know it works about .01% of the time.

The gens were done and they were all teabagging at the exit gate by time I died (yes I did struggle to give them extra time).

What part of the key was toxic? I got bent over by a salty killer who in the endgame chat gave the response, "I make sure anyone who uses a key gets the [BAD WORD] they deserve"

Like woah bro, chillax. I was the LEAST toxic of the group. I'm guessing the other 3 were in a SWF and just completely stomped you as a killer.

But just because I bring a key because I thought, 'Hey, why not? Last game of the night so gonna try something different', I get the literal worst game in existance and a killer who feels they are some self righteous priest of the forums and entity who needs to punish my sins.

Like dude, those toolboxes did more damage that match than that key could have EVER dreamed of. Honestly, don't even worry about the key until all gens are done (or someone has died and hatch has spawned in), and focus the gens being stopped.

Probably someone who was upset that ruin got nerfed and just used the key as an outlet excuse for trying to punish the toxic genrush... But punishing the toxic genrush would have been slugging those 3 over and over in the match, or facecamping them.

I'm not mad I got facecamped, it is a rather common occurance for me to make killers mad at me and get facecamped, but the logic behind it was just horrible.

Are keys really what is toxic here, or is it the gen rushing that only gets amplified when you decide to facecamp that just fuels the fire?

I personally don't have any problems with keys...since i dodge every "key-lobby"...its on the same level as ebony mori

Is this usually the case? Ive been noticing the exact opposite pretty much always with killer queues being instantaneous and survivor being 10-15 minutes. So these challenges will make it that much longer of a wait and longer to complete the rift because of wait times. Rank 1 survivor and killer on PS4.

I have the same feeling, survivor queues are way longer, this statement of Peanits does not make any sense to me.

  • @NoShinyPony said:

It was always like this. Survivors only drop their items when you have the perk Franklin's demise.

I know about franklins, but, where the hell do survivors keep their items when carried or hooked?

  • @OtakuFreak said:

Many killers such as myself played relatively fair and fun in many games against survivors because ruin gave me more time. Time is precious in this game.. even if ruin lasted for 1-2 minutes, that was enough to give me a chance to win.

With a chance to win, I was aware of being relatively fair to the survivors I was against. If someone got ######### over by a teammate, or coincidentally got hooked twice in a row... I would give them a chance to play for longer (E.G avoid hooking them for a third time for a few minutes) as I know it is frustrating to be killed and removed from the game so quickly.

In fact, this is why I dislike the idea of having to tunnel or camp someone. I know it isn't fun, even if it is one of the more effective strategies for a killer. But now? With ruin gone, I do not have a chance to win against optimal survivors if I'm not using the best killers in the game. I love playing the weaker killers, such as Bubba, Plague, Demogorgon & Wraith because of their play style. Ruin allowed me to play these killers despite them being weak, yet now with the nerf... it isn't possible.

If I'm playing against optimal survivors, then I have no choice but to resort to camping and tunnelling in some circumstances.

So yeah... expect more killers caring less about the survivor experience.. =/

    Amen.

You basically described what i am going through..I can't mess around anymore, since games without ruin are going very fast.

I can still get kills, but not the way i did before. More focus, more tryhard, less fun for survivors.

Or i just mess around same way i did with knowing i won't kill anyone before gens are done (probably 5 minutes).

I personally take DBD very light heartily and don't really care about winning, but more about having fun overall. Because of this, I use perks that allow me to enjoy DBD to its fullest that other killers and survivors would say are, "Much worse than other perks." As of now, I use Ace In The Hole, Head On, Lithe, Fixated, Urban Evasion, Quick & Quiet, Dance With Me, Monitor & Abuse, and Play With Your Food commonly on my solo builds. I believe that these perks can provide a joyful experience to both sides. Tbh I just want to see how the DBD community thinks of these "fun" perks and how Behavior could change them to improve the game.

I'd love for them to introduce some "fun" perks.

They could be useless for game impact, but fun to use.

For killers, some audio jumpscares, or some teleprojection to scare..

For survivors dance moves, or some signal guns using against each other etc.
