The fact that people are taking offense to it means it's offending people. Your ignorance is just sad at this point.
and? I'm offended by players using perks, therefore anyone using perks is actually offending me and the devs should remove them to appease me.
also it's their issue that they're offended, I've explained many times that I'm not using it offensively, so not my problem.

Mm. You say 'detached'. I'd say 'numb'. And that's not a good thing.
I see survivors in match, I run up and t-bag, I see killer I t-bag, it literally means nothing, I have never been offended by t-bagging, in the 20 years I've played video games it's never been a "personal attack" on myself, or anyone I've done it to.

'Upset' is a strong word.
'Annoyed' is more like it, especially in the exit gates.
It's the equivalent of refusing to shake your opponent's hand after the match, and instead giving them the finger. Yes, humans tend to be annoyed when other humans act like massive butts.
It's really not, I'm still unsure as to why this forum takes it as something so personal when I couldn't be more detached when doing it or having it done against me lol
-
Are we still getting upset by t-bagging? Literally the only community to do so.

idk but it seems pretty unhealthy to let a game dictate how happy you are in your life?
if you don’t enjoy the game then please don’t play it. That’s okay. You don’t have to like it. You can give your feedback of course but try to be constructive otherwise there is no value to it.
"idk but it seems pretty unhealthy to let a game dictate how happy you are in your life"
An all too common thing on this forum unfortunately.

Hey Seanzu, I came back to apologize for my earlier complaints. From my point of view your post seemed obnoxious because I really don't have a clue about how these things work, but you had no way of knowing that. You were responding assuming I was an average player, that's all. I was the one who was being sensitive for no reason.
Again, sorry. Like I said, I'm old, we complain a lot and we're wrong a lot. Didn't mean to be a dick. I'll try to avoid it in the future.
It's not to worry, my wording certainly could have been better, for what it's worth I don't think the two major services that I use (Twitch & YT) allow people to cheat in online games (however, cheating in single player / modding is ok).

I dunno, that's why I asked. I watch streamers on youtube like other old people, I know nearly nothing about it.
Sorry my question made you have a hissy fit. I didn't realize how sensitive you are.
All I did was explain that they hide player names so you can't just ban them infinitely, not sure a hissy fit was involved.

But your example is of someone who's constantly publicly cheating. That's like saying cops are willing to stop crimes 53 times if they happen every day in the same public place. It's not a ringing endorsement.
Does the streaming service allow cheating?
Do any streaming services allow cheating? It's all well and good acting like they make it easy to see they're cheating, they hide player names in the lobby and in the match so it's a little harder than just watching the stream and banning them live.
-
@BubbaDredge said:
Report them to Steam, they take cheating more seriously than BHVR.
Devs do ban, it's just often not enough for determined people, there's someone that streams as a hacker and they literally have a ban counter on their stream, last time I saw it, it was at 52/53
-
idk i think implying that every time a killer loses or has a bad game it's probably against cheaters is just a bad precedent to try and set, the majority or players killer & survivor are totally legitimate players playing by the rules.
-
You know they balance the kill rate around 50%, if they disabled Dead Hard and killrates shot up, it would only prove that Dead Hard is needed which would be the opposite result of what you wanted.

Your responsible for your actions and how those actions effect others. Do you not live in reality where accountability exists?
Do you not live in a reality where not everything is actually offensive?
"Yea I'm trying to get the killers attention and the fastest and easiest way to do that without using an item is to spam ctrl"
What accountability is there? You're acting like I'm using slurs, people in this game just want to be offended to matter what and that is their own issue, not mine.
Never seen any community take t-bagging as a personal insult before it's actually embarrassing

When in a trial you have 4 DH, 4 yellow items full of add-ons, bodyblock, BT, DS and gen rush to a point that only Nurse could deal with those guys, yes it is toxic.
If i go in a fight against you with an assault rifle while you have a wood stick, i do not think you would find it non toxic.
And when infinites were in the game, was using them abusing something broken ? Yes it was.
Abusing META perks + items on 4 survivors, with the amount of safe loops/maps and the gen speed, it is abusing something broken.
Comments like this are the absolute reason why I don't care about t-bagging or bm'ing when I play either side, especially survivor.
It doesn't matter whether i beckon, point, flashlight click, t-bag or run at the killer, everything and anything is seen as "toxic" by a lot of people, I see the threads every day of people saying certain perks etc or items are toxic and it's simply not true.
don't get me wrong, I'm not some "anti-woke" person, and I hate the phrase "grow a thicker skin" because everyone is allowed to be offended by the things that affect them, but the players in this game constantly try to paint each other as toxic or bad people for simply running the tools given to them by the developers.

You’re outta your mind if you think what I suggested only benefits killers. No Hag traps, no Pyramid Head POTD multi-hits on hook, etc. etc.
"So basically something that almost exclusively benefits killers?"
"There aren't many killers that benefit from using their powers right next to the hook"
Yep, I definitely said "Only benefits killers"
I see hag like twice a year, nerfing her would likely make that 0, again, there aren't many killers that benefit from using their powers near the hook and most will M1.
-
@GoshJosh said:
I would trade BT not activating after the fifth gen pop, for killer powers being disabled too close to a hooked survivor before the fifth gen pop. The killer has no more gens to patrol, so attempting to secure a final kill by camping is fair in that circumstance.
So basically something that almost exclusively benefits killers?
There aren't many killers that benefit from using their powers right next to the hook, you can guarantee a down with every killer hitting the unhooker as they come in to save and then hitting them as the save animation finishes, the only caveat to these are maybe Billy / Huntress & Bubba, every other killer will just M1.

You're not playing the game and expecting to be rewarded for it
I'd love to see a survivor equal to this strat and see how people respond to it. An AFK survivor strat where you get a free escape just by standing doing nothing and the killer can't do anything about it.
You don't even need a survivor strat to be similar, you and I have both seen threads arguing for survivors to be punished for "holding the game hostage" because they t-bagged in the exit gates for 30 seconds, certain people want to play like this and do nothing for 98% of the game but want survivors deleted for doing something at end game when they've played 98% of the match already and will leave before the timer is up lol.

I mean, I guess nothing stops you from hitting the report button. But I think it just opens a can of worms on a face camping Bubba that refuses to engage with other survivors. Or trapper that traps the house and just sits at the top of the stairs waiting for the guy in the basement to die. Those aren't reportable and yet they just stand there. "idle"
Also, for what it's worth they did use word "strategy" to describe it.
I think there is a significant difference between capturing a survivor and camping them until death / getting your traps and setting them up with someone on the hook which is entirely fine (both these scenarios explicitly mean you found a survivor, chased & downed them) vs loading into the match with these specific addons and idling in front of the box doing absolutely nothing.
-

I'd be reporting for idling / afk, not for taking the game hostage so this is irrelevant

@Stroggz said:

But they do play the game.
The definition of AFK is "away from keyboard".
Your Captain.
Idling is also against the rules, do you know what idling in your car means? Sitting there with it all switched on and doing nothing, the word AFK is entirely irrelevant if you're going to use the excuse that they by definition have to be away from keyboard, because BHVR could never prove it, but they left Idling in there for people like yourselves who want to use the term AFK so literally.
So yes, loading into a game, moving to somewhere like the basement or sitting infront of the box fits the definition of Idling entirely, the difference being is that Bubba while idling doesn't prevent you from possibly removing a trap that you HAVE to activate to escape.

Eh...let's take a look here.
- If a perk is so strong that killers have to play around it existing even when it doesn't, then that perk has transcended 'overpowered' and entered the realms of game breaking. It remind me of a specific strat in Starcraft 2 that, if you didn't specifically prepare against it, would be an auto-lose. So you had to prepare for it, and thus sometimes lost games against greedy players who knew you'd be setting up defenses and just fast expand.
- Yes, BT and DS are sort of required to discourage tunneling, but that's a sign of a wider issue.
- In this comp, I see: Iron Will. Spinechill. DS. No less than 3 CoH. That's still pretty damn meta. Kindred is absolutely a meta perk and sees play even at the highest MMRs.
- If they were smacking killers with Bond, Blast Mine, Autodictat and Fixated, that would be impressive.
- Dead Hard is absolutely good outside of an SWF. Yes, there are some outside exceptions where SB could be as strong, but that's neither here nor there.
- The survivors that tend to survive are the ones in SWFs. The solos that tend to survive are the ones who play meta - which, yes, for solo is a little different and a bit more of a tossup (that triple CoH could easily have been a triple Kindred).
- Built to Last is a solid perk, but to justify it you need to be running a pretty damn good item.
- A good player can win with any perks. However, that doesn't mean that they wouldn't have won even more convincingly with meta perks.
Eh, the idea of Decisive strike honestly made this game bearable for years (and still does today).
If DS didn't exist as it did, or does now then almost every match would be instantly tunneling off the hook and picking up with little to no thought, while DS was definitely over-powered in the beginning the mark it has left I genuinely think is a positive one.
-
the uptick in killers bragging about tunneling / camping or a combination of both on this forum is concerning to me.

Same goes for survivors if you get hooked first or slugged or any similar tactic to get 2 downs for examples you will get downvoted as a killer it won't work for both sides, it's coded in the game the whole mechanics are unpleasant and be used to annoying toward other player, you can't be this level of toxic in many other games where it's only possible by chat but in DBD it's possible by actions.
Yea but lets be honest dbd has the largest cry baby community ever, literally everything and anything is toxic to both sides killers and survivors alike whine about the dumbest stuff ever so the system fundamentally would never work.
In my 20 years of playing video games I've never seen a single community cry about t-bagging like this one, or even players thinking they're entitled to streamers money for participating in this match, I don't understand what is so warped about the dbd community that it breeds these kinds of people.

Thus, staying at a More Toxic MM Range then you. Maybe there will be People like that, But if you Play Well and Nice you will be away from them fast since you wont be matched against them
Yea dude, only survivors would downvote killers untruthfully, the bias this comment shows is pretty obvious.

If you are not toxic chances of you getting down voted are low but you're toxic aren't you?
Bro there's killers on this forum that think bodyblocking is bannable and against the rules, there are also survivors who think tunneling / camping is against the rules.
If you genuinely don't think this system will be abused by pretty much every other person than you have way too much faith in this community.
-
@TurboTOne said:
I actually think the best idea is to introduce a Vote System into DbD that lets you choose how the Player behaved in the Match and Chat. And depending on your Score you're going to go against people Similar to your Score. Basically what they said in the Latest Survey.
That way Toxic Players stay among themselves and the Normal or Nice People dont have to face so many Toxic Players.
I would rather wait double the Time to have a Match against Nice Survivors. Then a few seconds to go against clicky clicky Deadhard T-Bag
Ahh yes, and when people start downvoting each other for play styles it'll be a system as useless as the current MMR one.
-
You'll just have to guess I suppose.

So instead of taking responsibility for what your actions might do you blame the person on the receiving end? It's not always about you mary
Well in this case, yes, survivors can't do much in the form of replying or actions in dbd, they have 2 emotes that killers deem toxic, they have flashlight clicking which is deemed toxic, and also "t-bagging", no matter which one i choose to do killers are going to find it offensive so I'll use which ever one is the easiest to gain attention to try and draw campers etc away, if you find that offensive then it's not my fault,.
-
How do you stop "bullying" low tier killers when they think every action a survivor does is bullying?
Like, do you want them to play poorly so you're more likely to win chases?

Hey guys there's this map that the door's aren't spawning on lets do offerings so we get it. - Fine.
Hey guys there's a map that that we map that does'nt spawn hooks up stairs so we can use boil over and offerings to make the game crap - Fine
Hey guys sometimes a totem spawns on Dead dog that can't be cleansed even though it only affects 1 totem and only killers who use totems - Not fine.
Yeah you're obviously not biased.
"You're obviously not biased"
I'm not the one saying not to disable maps hexes can't be cleansed on, what? lmao
Oh no, not the breakable walls not spawning, you know... breakable walls that don't suddenly render a map unplayable once they are broken, I'm not saying not to disable them, but the kill switch is fundamentally made to turn things off that are completely broken / unplayable.
Not being able to cleanse a totem = basic game mechanic that is broken.
A door that the killer can break during the match not spawning = inconvenience and not broken or unplayable.
You say that the hex thing didn't affect killers that don't use hexes, but the RPD doesn't affect survivors that don't use Boilover, you can bring boil over and rpd map offering to force it, but you could also bring all hexes and a dead dog saloon offering to force it, yet I'm the biased one somehow, you can also... idk... like slug the survivors which is a perfectly viable play style.
Again, basic misunderstanding of broken / unplayable and an inconvenience.

I don't run totems so it doesn't bother me, There are plenty of totems that are hard to snuff, not impossible but require you to be in exactly the right spot, many of the showers in Learys for instance.
But preschool for instance was being abused, much like hooks in Rpd were with Boilover. People were using offerings just to do this.
So you can argue the point all you like, but as i see it, many times the game is made absolutely crap for killers with bugs, and they're left however a killer getting 1 totem out of how many on 1 map causes the kill switch.
It is nice to players not understanding the difference between minor inconvenience and totally broken, but sure dude some totems are "hard to snuff" but aren't completely un-snuffable. There's a pretty big difference there that you're incapable of seeing I guess.
"Hey guys, this totem is completely unbreakable"
"OH YEA? I have to turn my camera slightly to get this boon to snuff, totally the same"

@Barbarossa2020 said:

Totems not being able to be cleansed doesn't either.
Wow crazy bro you really go... oh wait... I agree with you except for the simple fact that breaking totems is a base mechanic of the game so something preventing a base mechanic from happening is a little bit more of an issue, I'd love to see your opinion on if there were totems survivors could boon but killers couldn't snuff, having two pallets is nowhere near preventing base mechanics from working at all.
Also the ONLY reason anyone would argue that maps should be kept enabled when totem spots are uncleansable are people that would want to exploit that fact, I just sat here trying to think of a reason any player would think keeping maps enabled with broken totem spawns on them would be to abuse that fact.
Lets disable all the maps that have more than one pallet on them :)

Since BHVR is so secretive about stats, I get them off a site that datamines them. It's imperfect but at least gives me a better idea on what's happening with DbD than what BHVR is will to give out. I don't understand the stinginess with data on BHVRs part, it just causes datamining website to pop up and give out the data you're unwilling to give out...
NightLight doesn't data mine anything, their percentages are based off of those that upload their end game results, the stats aren't even close to official.

Most people like blight, it's just a couple of his addons that need tuning.
If people were going to complain about blight, they would have been doing so before nurse was fixed and people were playing him a lot more, i know theres this theory that survivors complain about something and move onto the next, but that is very much a forum killer main thing to do.

Yea it makes no sense to play the same map twice in a row, there's loads of maps and the max amount of maps the people in game could have played is 5, so exclude those from next rotation unless an offering is used, it;'s not abusable by survivors because they'd all have to play one match solo on a map they didn't like just to play one match together to avoid those.

or maybe they are aware that people are on comms and talk to each other and are completely ok with it? They encourage coms in their discord server, why do killers want to install literal malware on their computers to stop voice coms so bad it's nuts lmao.
