Just calling BHVR to see if they'll put their accountant Steve on their art team, as well as Mark, their office cleaner on the balance team.

@Lucent said:
Why would they reduce anything that encourages people to play more from their perspective?
They've done it multiple times.
-
5) They don't double fry the fries
-
They stated in the last stream that to incorporate things like a replay system it would have had to have been one of their goals from the beginning of the game, they would have had to built it in from the get-go.
I don't think it's happening, maybe in 2032 when we get Dead By Daylight 2: Electric Boogaloo.
-
Yea I can't think of anything for the past two years that would have encouraged people to stay at home and play more video games artificially bumping growth, absolutely nothing at all, the game is just collapsing around us.
-
You'd be better off submitting this to the bugs section on the forum;

I was wrong. It was 9.45 secs :P
While running a plethora of other perks and a toolbox (before they were changed) are you always this intentionally manipulative?
Dude literally went into private with Left Behind and had the other three dead so his repair speed was 75% faster, I actually can't believe you would try and pass off this lie like it has anything to do with Wake Up.

A perk that caused matches to end in 2 mins is not winnable. Unless those survivors were jerking around and got themselves killed.
lmao just read your edit to the comment you posted "Gens were done in 20 seconds solo". Bro? Wake up was a 15% speed increase, it did not make gens get completed in 20 seconds, you are entirely over exaggerating this.
It would have taken 12 seconds off the gen, not even close to being "done in 20 seconds by solos".
You're intentionally lying to people now, ridiculous.

Wake up sped up everything
Gens, healing, vaulting, unhooking
There was no counter. How would you feel if there was a bug that made killer run faster, downed you in one hit and could mori you at the start of a match?
The reason im comparing the 2 bugs is they happened roughly at the same time. Both bugs ruined the game. Killers got banned for using it yet nothing happened to survivors using wake up..........favoritism?
Clown had a bug with his pinky finger bottle that would give exposed to people that touched the gas, he also had a speed glitch where spamming reload would cause him to be faster than billy, you're free to look through my post history to see if I wanted killers banned for using those (hint, I didn't).
There have absolutely been bugs that are awful, but infinite mending was taking the game hostage, you could absolutely win against Wake Up abusers, and even then, you weren't stuck in a match for 30+ minutes to mend.

I miss read your previous post. I thought you said killer "still" has OP stuff.
Long ago we did have broken things I do not miss. 5 blink nurse, insta saw billy, machine gun hatchet huntress, legion with double mending add ons. When people found that legion exploit bhvr started banning people caught using that. Survivor never gets punished using stuff that is considered exploitable. Like the wake up bug.
Why do people compare the wake up bug to the legion one?
The legion one caused mending to last 20+ minutes, where as Wake up just made matches end faster but was still entirely beatable.

Survivors have plenty of way to counter killers, holding W is just easiest and strongest.
You are simply not correct.
Ok, killer finds you, tell me what you do to counter him besides pressing W and running away?

The difference is survivor loses nothing by doing this as opposed to camping/tunneling.
The difference is, you're forced to run from a killer (or you die and lose), camping & tunneling is a choice that may help you in some matches but absolutely isn't always necessary.
-
Just a term used by certain people to try and put a negative spin on trying to escape killers.

Are you misunderstanding that this is from survivor's PoV or something?
It literally introduce practical infinity where you should just drop a chase no matter what, playing seriously in those kind of maps only makes you miserable.
Oh gosh, not the 'literal' infinites.

You literally told "get good I do match with more bad killers" or something.
How did I?
If you go down in that basement without a door broken you can't get the survivor out, all I said is that killers having to drop me because they can't get me out has happened far more than those doors being open losing me a chase.
I don't see the doors being open as a nerf or a buff but if you constantly have maps that you AFK on you absolutely need to get better at the game.
But keep reaching man, you'll get those stars at some point.

...what?
You are matching against baby killers and somehow proud of it...?
How am I saying I'm proud of it exactly? I'm just explaining a scenario that has happened more than another one, what kind of absolutely bonkers reaching are you going for here?

EDIT: Wasn't joking. The doors are removed. Another map for me to go AFK on when I'm playing M1 killers.
Have you tried getting better at the game? lmao.
The amount of killers that have had to drop me because they downed me in the basement of the school and couldn't make it to a hook has far outweighed the amount of times those breakable doors have caused me to lose a chase.

What do you do against four survivors who use dead hard when they lose a mind game, effectively making them three health state survivors.
Expecting enemy teams to do obvious mistake/have incompetent player is most strange things to do in PvP games, you should expect full stacked overlord teams all the time.
Lol, I would love to see BHVR make survivors 3 health states and remove all "Second chance" perks and see if you genuinely find them comparable, because I can promise you, three health states would make you quit the first day.
-
Doesn't bother me, literally hit them and carry on with the game, it's funny to see how tilted people are getting in here when it literally gets them injuries on survivors.
-
and the dead hard circle jerk continues, keep it up everyone!
-
How do people misrepresent these stats EVERY time.
They either compare current average to the peak highest, or ignore all other info and look at "currently Playing". It's literally 11AM in the UK, and early morning in the US / Canada, the numbers for the time that you posted are obviously going to be low, you're completely ignoring the "42K 24hr Peak" that's the most amount of people it hit in that last 24 hours, so at some point in the last day 42 thousand people were online on the game at the same time.
-
my lobbies take too long at the time that i play.

"rework" is more like different textures and breakable walls
I'm almost certain Haddonfield will be more than just a coat of paint, it's been one of the most hated maps for the longest time, it's due an overhaul, and usually when they 'rework' maps they don't disable them from the game entirely like they have done with Haddonfield.

They also generate significantly higher emissions, and are a luxury, not a necessity.
If video games are acceptable because they provide a use, then for your viewpoint to be consistent, NFTs should also be acceptable, for they too provide a use and at a lower cost.
How do you weigh the cost to benefit ratio for luxury items/services?
Yes because significantly more people play video games what silly argument is this?
As electric cars become more widely adopted and petrol / gasoline cars fall, electric cars will hit a point where they emit more than petrol cars but it's still better, if the hundreds of millions of people that play video games were selling / buying and minting NFTs they would be substantially higher in usage than video games, what a ridiculous and hollow argument.

I can almost guarantee some of the products you use are made with slave labor overseas but I bet that won't stop you using them.
The only people mad about NFTs are the people not making any money off them
"I can almost guarantee some of the products you use are made with slave labour".
Yea and I'd be happy to stop using those as well, the thing is I'm willing to stop using those but NFT idiots are always going to peddle their scams regardless of the issues with it, so what is your point here? "Other people do bad things so I'll do bad things" how morally corrupt of you.
"The only people mad about NFTs are the people not making any money off them"
Have to laugh at this argument, the people that don't like NFTs are the ones that DONT want to make money off them. NFTs are a LITERAL scam, you can sell the rights to any song, any png anything you create without having this incredibly expensive emission overhead that NFTs do.

It's probably all the survivors who use it that are swapping to killer for the faster queues. They can get more games in that way.
A vast majority of Blight mains use Stretched Res, this notion that it's primarily survivors that use it is unfounded.
-
Well AKSHUALLY the timer is only 4 minutes, so 5 minutes is akhually impossible and therefore isn't a problem 🤓

But if they can see you even tho they shouldnt, was it really a mindgame?
Dun dun duuun
If stretched res is removed then the next time it happens it will be a "mind game" ??
-
If people wanted to use stretched res they would be already, I don't think anybody is going to start using it, lol.
Interesting to see what the next excuse will be when killers get mind gamed at a pallet or a loop, can't blame it on stretch res anymore.
-
Bloodlust is a mechanic added to the game to aid terrible map design (although for a lot of spots it's just to help bad killers), this is not the same as a perk, as maps become more balanced, Bloodlust can be toned down, which makes sense.
-
You guys are definitely interesting at times, I really do feel sorry for the devs a lot of the time.
The forum is full of people calling the developers lazy, say the just band-aid every problem with a perk or easy fix, and then, they state they're going to take the time to individually tweak a perk to work with every killer, and you're all complaining about it being too much work, or that they should just make the perk do something different.
Insane.

Oh, SWF ain't cheating. I know that.
Using discord for voice communications is the textbook definition of cheating. 'Using a third-party program to gain an unfair or unintended advantage over the other players'.
And let's face it; when the devs added SWF; they did not think about discord, or how it would break the entire damn game. At that point, the game worked on 'information blackout'; the Survivors being unable to communicate verbally. Unable to tell each other where the Killer is, or the trapper's traps. They weren't supposed to be able to tell each other where lit totems are. Or if the Killer is camping. There's ENTIRE PERKS to do those things. Meaning they never planned for voice communication.
So discord is an 'unintended advantage', and therefore; cheating.
The fact that the devs KEEP balancing & creating Killers around this 'information blackout' that has not existed in years is also why playing Killer sucks; they're balanced around what the game is SUPPOSED TO BE, while Survivors play the game as it IS; with discord cheating & the 500 information perks they get for free by using it.
There were voice programs before Discord existed, Team Speak, Mumble, Skype was baked into every Windows install, they knew full well that "SURVIVE WITH FRIENDS" would encourage people to call each other up and play together.
Steam has voice chat built in, xbox has voice chat built in, playstation has voice chat built in, none of these are "third party" programs because they're all required to run the game. There is not a single way you can twist this into some form of cheating, and being entirely ambiguous with the "third party" program part of the EULA is ridiculous, they aren't going to list off a stack of programs that are "allowed". We all know third party programs refers to hacking software, and they've already covered this particular third party program by reiterating every other month that using comms to play ISNT cheating.
-
@AngyKiller said:
Voice chat with friends is cheating. I don't care how it's prettied up.
If they added local voice chat that was always on; SWFs using discord would give themselves away. This would be fair and balanced, since voice cheat with friends is insanely OP. But it won't ever happen; Survivors will riot if voice cheat with friends is ever balanced in any way.
So Survivors invent clever excuses and lies about how 'It would never work' even though it works in literally any other game with co-op. Because they want to keep how OP voice-cheat with friends is.
lol.

"Safety"?
Are people DYING?
Not everybody wants to look at mutilated bodies?
-
The fundamental difference being that Nemesis + Pyramid Head both injure you while you're dropping a pallet to defend yourself or looping around an object, they're vastly different.
-
My hot take is, and this is for both sides;
The majority of the time you lose, it's your fault, not a perk, not a playstyle, but you either made some pretty glaring mistakes as a killer, or yourself / team did something stupid that caused a snowball.
Far too many people also can't admit when this is the case, and tend to exacerbate things and call them op / unfun / unbalance or unfair.

No skill, one button press required. Avoiding all hits and gaining distance then there it goes the survivor escapes and goes for round 2 and another 5 minutes chase. It's even more ridiculous if they dead hard next to a window and completely avoid your attack.
Remove the invincibility and give Dead Hard a short distance.
"No Skill" - Unlike all the other perks that take 'skill' to use? Oh wait, no perks take any skill to use the majority of them are all just passive / activated by playing the game, stop using this as an argument against Dead Hard, it makes 0 sense,

Broken you mean cleansed? which is a functioning in game mechanic and not a bug.
Yeah pretty big stretch there.
How does this make a difference? Both sides complain something doesn't work a lot and still kept using it, trying to dismiss my argument because it makes sense is embarrassing. Just admit that something doesn't have to work the majority of the time to still be useful / fun when it does work.

So no one would have used it, now 80% of survs use it,(going by some of the stats shown on her by users) So how many Killers are on the raw end of it?
Killers have complained for YEARS that totems are "broken within 30 seconds" of the match starting, yet ruin managed to creep its way up to being used 80% of the time AT RED RANKS. So let's not use the 'if it doesn't work all the time, people wouldn't use it' because it's just false.

An easy fix would be too just uhhh..... Turn off validation for it. Causes more problems than it solves.
*Causes more problems for killers
The thing is, without validation people would end up exhausted all the time, killers never complained about that (obviously).
-
This is how the perk worked when it first was added, it wasn't very fun.

@GoodBoyKaru said:
So you want NOED to not be a hex perk? Well I admit it'd remove my main gripe (solo stomper) but make way for it being, you know, one of the best perks in the game. Effectively guaranteeing a kill once all gens are done, maybe 2, regardless of what survivors can do. It'd further encourage the rush gens and escape ASAP meta, even moreso than current, and might actually remove COH from it's positions as meta (since it'd bring the no-heal meta back full force) and most bullshit thing in the game to deal with.
Not a great change imo.
noed, no way out, remember me, blood bath af lol
