  • Alot of them are nobodies with 3 viewers that are OcihDo wannabes. They are indeed the most toxic, annoying and have a huge ego. They also tend to be the saltiest when you give them the good ol' streamer privilege.

NOED is definitely a garbage crutch perk--and if exhaustion perks & self-care are getting nerfed for being crutch perks, NOED should be too.

NOED honestly isen't that big of an issue. It has alot of counter play if your smart. When the game first came out NOED had no counterplay because back then it wasen't a hex perk so if the gens went online there was not a thing you could do about the NOED but hope to god the killer dosen't find you first. With it being a hex all you have to do is cleanse all the totems and it is gone before it could even be used. All perks should have counter play and NOED is fine because it has good counterplay by the survivors.

Can you explain why you feel like you are entitled to know what a survivor is bringing to a match--besides the fact that it's just how it's always been?

So that i can prepare. That is why the counter measure perks exist like franklins and lightborn. If i couldn't see what the survivor were bringing in i could either A) Run light born or Franklins every game which could either be a blessing or a waste of a perk slot or B ) just risk it and not run it at all and then with my luck i would get a 4 man flashlight squad and i would be up shits creek without a paddle. The developers want the killer to have the upper hand in this regard. He is supposed to be the power role after all and having the ability to apply counter measures effectively is an important aspect.

When/if we ever get dedicated servers...dodging will hurt way less.

yeah.  I am hoping for dedicated servers.  normally would say I don't see this happening 2 years in, but if they want to get into the esports arena they need to do dedicated servers in my opinion.

+1 Peer to peer is absolute bullshit especially since the devs want this game to go competitive. Atleast the devs have acknowledged the communities desire for dedicated servers so i am sure they are considering it. If we got servers that would deal with alot of the bullshit with lag switchers and people connecting to hosts on the other side of the planet.

  • The devs said they are buffing sloppy butchered to give a mangled status effect when you hit survivors. They even gave us specifics. They said it will reduce healing speed by 25%. Will be interesting against selfcare. It will increase the selfcare heal time to 30 seconds and i assume it will stack with other mangled status effects. I can see it being a pretty nasty build especially on billy with the two chain addons. The begrimed chain reduces healing by 50% and rusted chain by 25% so with sloppy butcher you are looking at a total heal time reduction of 100% meaning it will take 48 seconds to completely heal with selfcare and with the nerf to self care coming they cannot stop the heal at all or all progress will reset.

I target the person with the flashlight. I punish them. I really hate flashlights.

If i see one flashlight in my lobby i throw on lightborn. I hate flashlight saves.

The killer has the right to know what a survivor is bringing into a match so that he can prepare accordingly.

by that logic the killer should also know what is in each chest.... so he can prepare accordingly.

lol wut? The chests have nothing to do what is brought into a game by the survivors. The killer being able to see what the survivors have coming into the trial is an intended feature by the devs. Without it perks like franklins and lightborn would be redundant.

yes, but what happens when there is a flashlight in the chest.  just because someone doesn't carry it in doesn't mean you shouldn't be prepped for it.  as soon as I get Franklin's Demise as a teachable, I am going to run it on my killers.

Then that sucks but it is what it is. I typically only run counter measure perks against items when i see them in a lobby. If a survivor manages to find a flashlight in a chest il adapt and deal with it if they are lucky and find one.

  • Billy Willy is my Boi. The doctor was originally the one that got me interested in playing killer after i seen Monto's first impossible skill checks build but eventually i tried out other killers like the Hillbilly and i haven't looked back. Billy is the only killer i am good with and the one i have the most fun playing as. He has in my opinion the best addons in the game and he is just an absolute joy to play.

Stream sniping is indeed bannable but like Runiver pointed out it is almost impossible to prove it unless the person is stupid and admits to doing it. I dont have any sympathy for streamers that get sniped tho. There is plenty of counter measures that can be taken and the ones that are lazy and don't well that is their fault. A good start is not putting your twitch name as your actual steam name and having a link to your twitch in your profile description.

what about people that put twitch in their name? they know the killer can see it. issnt it basicly an invitation?

Yes, i mentioned that in my post. I dont know why people do that but it pretty much is asking to get sniped.

  • I agree. Absolute bullshit that survivors can see a killers loadout while the match is still going and then communicate that to their friends. It absolutely shits on perks like NOED and Bloodwarden that rely on the survivors not knowing if the killer has it or not.

The incoming possible nerf is far from making the perk useless. It will even be probably still meta and the most used perk in game even post-nerf.

It for sure will still be top tier Meta. No question about that. Unlimited heals are just so enticing. Good thing about the nerf is that it will play into the killers hands if the survivors are to reliant on it. This nerf will be a buff to nurses calling since they have to commit to the heal not stop it when they hear the terror radius or else they waste even more time as they reposition and restart the heal. Should hopefully help slow the game a bit more.

Sloppy butcher will be decent against people using self-care extensively to make them overly safe.
Which is a good change overall because it will make SC to be costy to these players, rather than a free way to safety.

The change to selfcare + all the ways to make it more difficult to heal with it is going to be a indirect buff to Thanataphobia aswell. Harder and longer to heal will mean people injured more often or not healing at all which if thats the case Thanataphobia will be doing some good work.

Thana will still suck. Numbers are just too low to be worth it in any case.
At least in my opinion, it will never be worth a perk slot. You'd better get something to actually help you snowballing than an unsignificant debuff.

Oh for sure it will still be ass but for meme builds that focus on no healing it will still be fun.

I am for sure going to be giving this perk a test drive. With the changes to selfcare where stopping the heal resets the progress sloppy butcher is going to be amazing. It will keep the survivors occupied quite a bit as they try to heal. Now imagine cancer doc with 2 calm addons, distressing, claustrophobia, sloppy butcher and nurses calling. No more healing, its going to be delicious.

Might try this out you know!

It will take 42 seconds to get a standard selfcare off with that cancer build. If they stop at all it will reset all progress. Going to be really working the salt mines with it.

  • Sorry but no. Every perk deserves to have counter play. Whenever a survivor complains about BBQ i tell them that the best way to counter it is to hide behind gens, get within 40 meters of me or be unpredictable. If they are smart and know how to hide their aura then they deserve to be able to do that. Its fair gameplay.

ur sugestion doesnt fix the problem

I dont think any perk should be nerfed to the point of uselessness. Every perk should be viable. I do agree that selfcare does need a nerf tho and the ones that the devs have planned is perfectly fine. I would have preferred something more in depth to the changes but what the devs are going to do will work good. Survivors think it is the end times all of a sudden and i dont know why. The change the devs have planned is not hard to work around.

i think they wont nerf it enough. balance issnt when the perk is good enough. balance is when players are starting to concider to bring something els insted

What i personally liked the idea of was selfcare applying a no mither effect. The self heal itself will stop grunts of pain and drops of blood but you will still go down in one hit. To be fully healed you would need to find a team mate or a medkit. Then with that iteration of selfcare buff the self heal with a medkit to the point a brown medkit can give you 2 full self heals. Selfcare would still be a useful perk but if you want good heals you need to bring a medkit.

I'm leaning more towards option B tbh

Thats pretty much how i feel aswell. Like i see the little chat bubble and at the back of my mind i so badly want to open it and see what they are saying even tho i know i am going to regret it. i think option C would be the best overall. Just a little check box in the options that says disable post game chat. Check the box and post game chat is gone for good and in the chat for the survivors it could just say host has disabled chat so that they dont waste their time talking to a wall.

There technically is a feature like that more or less. You can click the little chat icon to the right of it and it minimizes the chat but i would prefer to take it one step further and just create an option in the games settings to completely remove it. As the old saying goes "out of sight out of mind".

How is DS not overpowered? Because its a one time use? Are you kidding XD

  • I love the changes. DS honestly needed to get hit hard. It was stupidly overpowered and it makes killer gameplay an absolute nightmare at high ranks. The selfcare change i like aswell. You have to be careful about choosing a spot to heal and then you have to commit to it. If the self care change bothers you then bring a medkit and use selfcares improved medkit efficiency to give you a better heal. These changes were needed. The game needs to get balanced and these changes will improve killer gameplay while gutting the crutch meta within survivor loadouts that make it so damn frustrating to be a killer. 2018 is the year survivors learn how to earn their survival, not get it handed to them.

I don't understand why the hatch isn't coming in the mid chapter patch.

I was really hoping it would make it. They couldn't even confirm it for the next chapter which won't be out until mid september...

The perk reworks were great. Freshens things up a bit, but I was really wanting things to be ready for this mid chapter.

Oh well. Things are very much moving in the right direction.

I think the reason why the hatch changes are not coming just yet is because the devs are still deliberating on how exactly to change it. They want to try and make sure it is fair for both sides.

Yeah I guess, but basically they said it "might" be ready for September. Which is a let down.

I loved the 1st integration of it. Close the hatch and they are F'd lol

For almost 2 years the hatch game was 80% in the survivors favor. Especially the self care, tryhard healthy survivor.

I thought the hatch closes, the gates power, sure. That would be more fair I guess. I'll just roll bitter murmur and enjoy seeing them for 10 seconds...

The hatch is currently a crutched escape for a team that played poorly. just finish 2 gens are someone more than likely gets out.

    It's a joke.

I liked the idea of the survivor having to do a gen to reopen the hatch but they also get a built in speed boost that allows them to finish a gen in 20 seconds.

    What was the DS change?

With DS the killer gets stunned in place for 2/2.25/3 seconds if i remember correctly. The skill check is also changed to where there is a good and a great part to hit and hitting the great skill check leads to a longer stun time. I really like the change.

  • Pretty much what @RemoveSWF said. Blame it on the toxic bastards that use the last second switch exploit to try and get a one up on the killer. • Honestly the BP gain up to a max of 100% is fine. What needs to be changed is the whole method of getting tokens for it. Its alot more difficult to get 4 tokens on the current WGLF compared to BBQ. I think WGLF should earn stacks for more than just altruistic actions. We could add healing teammates to the actions that effect getting a stack but also include a variety of things like completing generators, opening exit gates, escaping the killer, surviving the trial, etc. Its not the bloodpoint gain that needs a buff its the ways to get stacks that need a buff.

  • If you have a PC that can run DBD well then i see no reason not to get it. Keyboard and mouse is leagues better when it comes to playing as killer.
