It's a core issue, I don't think they will be able to fix unless they completely revamp the design of their game.
-
I would probably resume Persona 2: Innocent Sin. I took a break from the game because the layout was too confusing, at least Persona 1 had a more traditional dungeon crawler design so I could just map the maps myself, the isometric point of view they went for in that game is pretty disorienting at times. However, I was really like the story.
That or I would play one of Paradox's map painting simulators.

While possible, its highly unusual for them to break their 3 week ptb to patch cycle
But the last patch dropped 1 month after the PTB didnt it?

Sadako does not lose bloodlust neither when manifesting and demanifesting. I wonder if it is a thing they are going for with killers going forwards.

Me. I don't like it.

Jonah, Ash, Jeff, Yoichi.
If you see a P3 Yoichi running unbearably memey builds that is probably me.
-
I don't like him. His power feels easy to use but not very rewarding. I did P3 him and all but he just doesn't do it for me. I honestly prefer Demo to him.
-
It completely screws stealth killers. I rememeber using it all the time when I was a baby survivor, it was a brain turn off.
-
You will waste A LOT of time with those add-ons to get the fifth hit on most maps. As with every legion game just try to stay as far from them as possible and don't give them free hits. It's also exceptionally hard to get the first hit, so you can actually try to loop them before they get their power off of you.

I am sure you have a lot of friends, you are truly charming. What you lack is friends with the game I am guessing.
Yeah pretty much.

once I realize the killer has their stacks built up, I definetely go on high alert mode.

Instead of Kill Your Friends? I wonder people even know that exists.
I don't even play SWF, never had never will. Not because I don't like it but because I have no friends.

No map is a big bummer but given how poorly maps have been designed as of late it kinda is a relief. Sadako is ######### great, possibly one of the best film to videogame adaptations I have ever seen, I had my doubts about how they would manage to adapt her to DBD but everything was awesome, sound design wise especially. I do wish they did more with the VHS virus like transmission from the films. Their reimagining of Yoichi as an adult was great, but his perks really leave much to be desired, a perk relating to his psychic powers would have been neat, like being able to break breakable walls with the entity's help or something.

Too difficult? Too map dependant? Bad addons? Hard punish for even small mistakes? Not great in loops? Not fun anymore? Overheat bad?
Why do you think Hillbilly is so rare? Also if you don't play Billy much, what are the reasons for it?
It almost feels as if the devs purposefully redesigned him to be as annoying to play as possible.

Here's a game with no gen defense. Spoiler alert : there are 4 generators done in 2 minutes and 22 seconds.
There is one copy of the perk Prove Thyself to speed up gens (zero toolboxes).
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n8tOuHcyhOg
The author raises interesting questions (which I might add were also asked in 2016 on the steam forums and never answered).
How many hooks are there on average when one generator is completed? What about two through five generators?
Can we see these statistics please?
Can you please gather data to look at when hooks happen vs when gens get completed? I suspect you will see a trend in games that shows that killers camp more often when gens are completed very quickly at the start of a game.
He literally stayed on a single hook the whole match, on a killer that doesn't even have great hook defense, and got all surprised when all gens got done in 3 minutes against what is most probably a high MMR sweat team. It's not even a "I played perfectly and got ######### by the game issue", which admitedly happens a lot of the time, he played like garbage and got garbage results, just to kickstart another circlejerk that his followers won't even question for a minute.
On a side note, god those have to be the most obnoxious thumbnails I have seen in my entire life.
-
It's the opposite for me, I unironically want to get as many red backgrounds on my killers as possible. It's a dumb reason to play but I really like them.
-
Literally since the beginning.
Remember the Frank's mixtape + Stab wounds study combo? Or the unbearably stupid moonwalking exploit?

Who?

Note: It's not by order from best killer to worst killer
New DS will only be a bit of a problem for weaker killers while the strong killers will just eat it like it's their daily breakfast, laugh at you while eating it and then catch you right after that with no problem.
To be honest, I am kind of okay with the switch from DS to OTR. OTR allows for much more interactive gameplay while also functioning as an anti-tunnel perk, even if it is much less effective than DS to deter tunneling and camping. Plus I get more STBFL stacks for my Sadako builds so that's neat.

I get the frustration with getting camped and tunelled repeatedly. But honestly from the video you shown, you shouldn't expect to win at all if you aren't running meta perks, like BT and DS for tunelling and camping.. It's just a sad reality with this game.
Solo survivors be like "it's fun tho"
-
Meme add-ons. BHVR was going in the right direction with prayer tablet fragment and no-sleep pills and then proceeded to make detrimental BP add-ons again. Meme add-ons should alter the way you play certain killers, not make them completely unplayable.
-
BHVR devs carefully crafting the most unnecessary balance changes known to man. (omegablink is still in the game btw)

Imagine if his traps would be like Chameleon.
Each map would have different paint of color that fits the general ground. So for example Eyrie would have like sand themed traps so they are harder to spot. Etc.
That would be interesting, but it would probably take actual effort.

I am still missing the seventh tome because I took a break from the game around the time Bill's tome released. I am currently completing it.
-
I have been thinking about some perks for the killer of one of my dream liscences.
- Vicious game
Your acts have no rhyme or reason, causing your victims to become extremely confused. In reality, it's all just a game to you...
Each time you injure a survivor, the aura of the healthy survivor furthest from you is revealed for 8/9/10 seconds. Leaving the survivor you are currently chasing will grant you the undetectable status effect for 15 seconds. The effects of this perk will not activate if the survivor is instantly put in the dying state by any means.
Once per match, if all survivors are injured, they will be afflicted by 2 of the following status effects at random for 60 seconds.
- Broken
- Oblivious
- Hindered (-5%)
- Exposed
- Incapacitated
- Haemorrage
- Mangled
"I did that stuff 'cause I could, and it got interesting, so I watched" - The Jester
- Feeble facade
They don't realize your true intentions until it's way too late
Each time a survivor loses a health state, gain a token, up to a maximum of 14/16/18. Once the exit gates are powered, this perk activates.
- All dropped pallets are instantly destroyed.
- For each token gained, all pallets become blocked for 5 extra seconds up to a maximum of 90.
"Wow! Very optimistic! Is your brain rotting or something?" - The Jester
- Hex: Anathemical refutation (I couldn't think of a better name, it would sound cool for a medieval character tho)
A hex that roots it's power on the hatred for the success and talent of your rivals.
If no survivors have come within the effect range of a recently placed boon totem for 40/35/30 seconds, the boon deactivates and becomes an uncleansable hex totem. Survivors within a 32 meter radius of that hex have the effects of all their perks nullified.
"Those who actually succeed in life... They happen to be born with a magical ticket called 'talent', if you don't have it you can either accept or deny that fact until you die. That's your only choice." - The jester

Players that justify her are ones that took the time to learn her weaknesses and learned how to loop her.
Most players want her counter play to be like every other Killer....pre drop pallet and able to loop her for 3-4 gens.
You can't loop a nurse.

You don't need to wait for the killer buffs to go live to understand that nurse is in dire need of a balance change. People have been saying that she needs one for years.
The whole nerf nurse bandwagon didn't really start until recently. I rarely saw people complaining about nurse, when she was nerfed all I remember from reddit were complaints about the devs taking it too far with the power gauge.
it was a couple of months after they reenabled her that people started to complain about it (and the whole omegablink 2.0 thing). My guess is that people actually got to see what going against a competent, bugless nurse really is like.

for those wondering what the difference would be. As the Devs said themselves "This change will make Pop Goes the Weasel very effective against generators that are nearly done, but weaker against those with a small amount of progress."
It's not that bad. I won't deny it is a huge nerf, but anyone that has gone against pain resonance knows that 15% is quite a lot.
-
This was painfully unfunny.

roots of dread was such a flop chapter, all perks sucks, the only decent stuff was the new map, the survivor is ugly and the killer is boring to play
I have been using dissolution quite a lot. It's a strong perk, it's just that it does not work unless you play somewhat specifically.

No need to imagine that when I could tell you it would take 3.81 minutes or 228.57 seconds.
Me watching the self care claudette take 3 minutes on a single heal while I die on first hook.

All players that were hard carried out the exit gates by Dead Hard and Iron Will. The REAL skilled survivors will be fine and won't even notice these changes. The ones getting carried will need to slap on Overcome or switch over to facecamping Bubba
Yeah overcome will be pretty interesting next patch. I kind of wish it was nerfed to just one extra second.
-
I kind of like it.

Does it matter, though? P9 is the last one that actually gives you any kind of reward, so exceeding it wouldn't exactly give you anything.
As for the portrait thing, I don't see what else they could've done without it being something too exclusive. Maybe a post-trial icon, but I don't really consider that necessarily better than the portrait thing.
Personally I would really like to know how much time I have spent on each specific killer.
-
OTR is pretty much discount DS. The only advantage is has over DS (pre-patch) is that it can be used much more offesively, apart from that, you gain roughly 5 meters less when the killer is tunneling you AND he has full line of sight over you. To be kind of honest, I like it a bit more that way, it will offer more interactive gameplay.

lets see you come up with something better then, people have the right to say what they feel about the game and as simple as the post is it also covers a very basic problem, playing killer is not a lot of fun at times i would love DBD to set up what Friday the 13th had for a month, that at some point after so many matches as a survivor you have to play as Jason for a match, if DBD did something like that then maybe everyone that plays only survivor might see how bad playing killer can be at times.
I just find it funny how people put their opinion on a pedestal as if they had some sort of priority. There are 10 other "my side weak, BHVR hates me" posts everyday, why should I take this one more seriously? It has nothing especial and it does not even attempt to offer solutions.

Agreed idk what they could do to twins though except revert the nerfs
Their whole design is unfun as all hell. On the side of the killer survivors have a ######### ton of tools that just completely invalidate your power, and on the side of the survivors it's really grating going against a killer whose only viable playstyle is to tunnel, slug and proxy camp.

Instead of this, try learning her and get back to us. Put a few hundred hours into her and try playing her against good players.
Already did. On console. It's really not that hard, and double range makes her stupid easy. Most of her skill revolves around learning blink distance and blink recharge time, learning survivor pathing is not that hard and you always have an extra blink to correct yourself once you get clear line of sight if you make the wrong guess.
Still, I don't agree with most of the suggestions people have given to nerf her. I think she would be okay if they just made it so that her blink attacks do not count as basic attacks.
-
Yes. Yes it was. You still made the same distance as before.
-
I am still baffled at the self-care nerf. And RIP overcharge, there is next to zero reason to run it now, call of brine does it's job better and with zero downside. They should have nerfed it to something like 75% to 300% to make it worth running.
I am however extremely happy with the DH nerf, I would have rolled my eyes if it went live in it's PTB state.
-
I only used it when I was a baby survivor.
