The double cooldown addons (the ones for the recharge rate for her blinks) make her like old nurse, which is objectively better than this variant.
-
He’s perfectly fine, even with the passive pressure. I like how he manipulates his environment, though, which is a nice touch. : )

@shwag said:
Highly disagree he does not need a nerf, they already nerfed his slow down add ons.
You can't shoe horn every killer to play the same exact way. Freddy has counters and can still be bullied by red ranks.
Not every Freddy player is god tier and I have escaped many of a Freddy match.
I grow tired of people trying to nerf every killer to play the exact same way. Not everyone has enough skill to escape a Freddy player and not every Freddy player or any killer for that matter has enough skill to get even a 1k against a red rank death squad swf.
Please just stop.
I agree. All this talk of just nerfing strong killers, but not learning how to deal with them now is just getting old.
-
I hate both maps equally. They are just not fun for me. A combination of weird rocks, bamboo, and my less than stellar eyesight makes this realm terrible for me to play. Any map is better than these.
-
Only if Remember Me is buffed to compensate. : P
But yes, changing perks weekly/monthly would be great for game health.

No, they're actually meta.
@BigBrainMegMain See, my point exactly.

But he is only one Killer. You're more than likely to still gamble using those perks anyways because he isn't exactly going to be the most common Killer you find.
Yeah, but his existence will mean that survivors will be uncertain of a perk’s success. The only reason DS, and the rest of survivor meta perks are meta is because they are:
- easy to use
- guaranteed to actually apply to all killers.
Healing centered perks don't really apply against all killers, because Plague, Legion, and instadown killers can ignore them, Aura perks aren't great because there are stealth killers who can ignore them, and perks to counter a survivor’s aura reading.
This leaves just exhaustion perks and second chance perks. Second chance perks really do not work against PH. He can ignore them by purely using the cages. No deliverance from a cage, no DS or BT for rescued survivors, No need to slug when you can cage them instead.
Exhaustion perks are already distinct in that you can only run 1 at a time, so they have been scrutinized to see which is best and which is worst. And there are a few killers who can ignore them, like Trapper, Hag, Huntress, and Deathslinger (Plague technically can with corrupt purge).
Since there is no guarantee that any build will be 100% successful, survivors will have to find one that works for them. The threat of him alone does this. Granted, there will be survivors who don't learn to adapt, but they will always be taken down a peg.
-
@BigBrainMegMain said:
Here's a great non-meta build.
Sloppy Butcher, Corrupt, Make Your Choice and STBFL.
If the meta perks will be nerfed, a new meta will always emerge.
Sloppy and STBFL are borderline meta for killer, though. : P
-
Well, PH’s mere existence does this for you. Most meta perks have bad synergy/don’t work with him. DS, BT, Unbreakable, and Adrenaline are all poor choices against him, and Pop and BBQ don’t work with his cages.
His release is going to change the survivor meta a lot, since guaranteed perks don't always work anymore, since he ignores all of their favoirites. That is frankly a good thing.

Somehow, in your quest, you have stumbled here completely by accident... like Aeneas finding Italy without knowing he was there...
So welcome, to the Realm you seek: THE FORUMS OF THE FOG.
Overly dramatic, I know, but first impressions are important.
btw, if you want to thank/reply to someone, just press the quote button below their comment or put an @ in front of their name. It will make the name like this: @TwistedSegaGamer and give them a notification.
If you do not remember the name, just start typing what you do remember and it will pop down in a nifty menu for you.

And Huntress can't do that because?
Nurse holding her blink isn't a hostile action and she loses Bloodlust.
I can name more but I don't have the energy.
Huntress shots can damage, even if they miss, no fancy reeling in required.
Nurse uses it for transportation (why would you bloodlust with nurse to begin with?)
Legion Frenzy cancels it because it is already making you faster.
Those examples, and more can be explained.

Why doesn't it reset Deathslinger's?
He misses AND he still gains Bloodlust.
Because his weapon isn't considered a hostile action. Considering the shot by itself doesn't hurt when you break the chain early, and that the shot is the size of a dime, it makes sense why this is the case.
-
@Equus is right. Even on console, you just had to log in when it was availible. It is both a survivor and killer charm.
-
Lets see, the perk gives information bubbles when gens are completed. That is nice info. The obsession can see the auras of the killer when this happens. They are given warning that Rancor is on the table. If the obsession doesn't change, that is more than enough warning for them.
It isn't unfair for the killer, since it only activates when 5 gens are on.
It is also really funny when someone is hiding behind a tree next to me and a gen pops. It is the funniest thing ever. XD
It is a rare perk though, because it is very specific. And, I would admit, a relic from a time when DS was very different. But it shouldn’t change because it is fine now.
-
Like you, i like to use them on death hook, if at all. I am also a big fan of rancor, so my mori need is sated most of the time.

If there was a survivor though, Who would it be?
Any one of the nightguards, or Charlie. She is the main protagonist of the books, and has gone against Springtrap before.

I very much consider Legion / X just because he could guarantee you that first hit... then I remembered he stuns himself for like 5 minutes after frenzy lol
4 seconds, same as deathslinger chain break. : P
Could be traded for Plague/Deathslinger. Shoot, bring them over, puke on them, break them, harpoon them again.

At red ranks, they're usually slugging with Infectious Fright at above 3 gens. A really good nurse, billy or oni will just eat the unbreakable and continue chaining downs.
Then Xbox red ranks is different to PC red. Or you keep getting the same people.
-
@Uistreel said:
Leatherface and billy. Wait
Just imaging Leatherface able to cross the map at the same speeds as billy, but his saw swings side to side as well for unlimited duration...
-
Legion and Deathslinger. There is no running from me. Looping is overrated. Frenzy for the first hit, then reel in for the second. At 115 speed.
-
If they want to Tbag, let them, but they should be prepared that a killer can still beat them. Hubris is the downfall of many a survivor in this game.
-
I wouldn't call Unbreakable overpowered at all. I call it strong when paired with DS since they both cover each other’s weaknesses, but that is about it.
If anything, a killer that needs to slug is losing, since they need the extra pressure of a slug.

Omg actually it would be amazing if the piano could play with the broken keys 😍 Like in the riddle
Well, If it recieves damage like I think it would, the strings would be broken, rendering it silent. But hey, the Entity doesnt understand this, so why should it follow reality?

No wonder it doesnt play like the saloon one. : (

I think it just might be more of a flavor text thing. I guess "gunslinger" doesn't evoke the thought of a supernatural killer.
I doubt it has to do with the character. I don't think Fallout 2's protagonist being called "The Chosen One" means it's the only character ever to be referenced as that.
But he is not a supernatural killer to begin with... he is just a man with a harpoon gun (time doesn't flow in the entities realm, so he is just really old). But the rest of the point is correct.
-
If it is the instadown bug, then yes, I hope they keep it. It adds a higher skill ceiling to that killer (since it is really hard and impractical to pull off). Otherwise, no, I can't think of any other bug that should be kept from the PTB.
-
Not by itself. And not on every killer. Experiment, see what works.
-
Every killer forces you to do something. Trapper forces you to look where you are going, stealth killers require extra observation, Some killers require other actions than just looping... the list goes on.
T1 madness never does anything (except a 1/3 chance of a reverse skill check). So taking you to T0 makes no sense.

Yeah I tried playing like this but every time I got genrushed into oblivion :P
Well, tunneling the same survivor tends to really hurt in the long run. You have to pick and choose your battles.
-
It is a perk that is usually comboed with killers that can lose a chase quickly, like Wraith. Every time he cloaks, he gets a stack. With bubba though, a common build is Nemesis with PWYF. It allows you to change obsession, which makes PWYF infinitely more useful. Get stunned, lose a chase 3 times, then down them, rinse and repeat. It allows you to keep 2 stacks really easily, which is big against a bubba.
-
I would trade Ruin for Corrupt or Pop, as new Ruin doesn't really work by itself. The others are solid though.
Iron Grasp should be traded for Agitation though, it does the same thing but faster.
-
What, Forcing us to give Penance? This is Not Happening right now... the only thing that'll stop me is Corrupt Intervention!

Guess I’m all ears for this post now.
This joke is giving me Deja Vu. Don't get fixated on them too much, they come naturally. I just took my Windows of Opportunity to use them. : D

I like using maps. Next to medkits, they are probably one of the items I would bring on a whim. They are insanely useful for not just yourself, but your team if you have a red map with the right addons. Never underestimate them.
-
I have only been accused of teaming once... and that is because someone let me carry them with Mad Grit/Agitation/Iron Grasp for the entire match. It was hilarious because they didn’t struggle once. They must’ve known what I was doing and played along for the lols.
Take no heed from those words.
You did the smart thing, by working on gens when he was proxycamping. You were putting pressure on the killer. If anything, everyone else was acting like idiots by being overly altruistic. You have 2 minutes on a hook, max. If you go to the hook while the killer is nearby, you are encouraging them to stay and proxy camp. Getting gens done will pressure them to move on, making the save easier overall.
Sometimes you will have to give yourself to the hook, but that is usually only in desperate situations.
-
If half of all vaultable windows and Jungle gym pallets were affected by this mechanic by default on any map, it would make survivors actually have to do something other than gens to be safer. Which, frankly, is a nice change.
-
I got it on my second try... I had this build: Left Behind, Adrenaline, DS, and Self Care, paired with a key. I tried to get as many gens done as possible, then let the killer hook me twice by being overly altruistic.
The first game was a failure. It was a Pig on ormond who constantly hard core camped me on hook, and tunneled me after I got off hook. I looped them for 4 gens, then they DCd.
Second was a tunneling doc on Yamaoka. I worked on getting all of the gens done before being altruistic. I left after getting unhooked the second time. Got hate mail for it, but hey, not my problem.
Didn't even need Left Behind or the Key. Just had it in case.
-
I guess I better Up the Ante, cause I have a lot of puns on here because of you! : D

Deathslinger: Any red addon. On console, it is impossible to hit the expose addons requirement, while the other one is kinda useless.
Legion: Fuming Mixtape. Iri button has two effects. This only has one, and it isn't very good to begin with.

Can I say I hate all versions for both sides? No? then I have to say any but the original. I can't really tell a difference except that one.

Where did this Surge of bad puns even come from unless this whole time you've just been Saving The Best For Last
I like to Play with my Food a little, saving them so I can Bamboozle people. Sometimes I have to work with Cruel Limits to get them to work, and that can be Distressing, but I can get Fired Up and make it work. : )

I'm kind of sick of Licensed chapters right now. Sure, they are famous movies/games, but I would rather see new ones than old ones remade. A lot more effort usually goes into original chapters, and you can earn them for free.
But I agree with you, PH actually looks decent right now. That could change, but I hope they leave him alone.
