You should have just listened to the people who insisted that the 4 was shaped like Pyramidheads head. It was so „obvious“ and turned out to be fully true!
I actually predicted Pyramid head because of that.

@Raven014 Thank you! I'll give this build a go, and keep locker plays in mind. I should have thought of that myself tbh. I just got chainsawed trying to juke with one tonight. 😅
They can leave during the final swing of the tantrum, but if they dont they are screwed. : )
Glad I could help. Bubba suffers without teachables like Pop. It is hard to use builds without them, so I had to think of what perks you would have at your disposal... Best of luck with your games though!

It did cause discordance in the thread, didn't it?

Doc has Monitor, which is a decent perk. Trapper has Agitation, Billy has enduring... do it at your own pace.
However, Bubba is... really in a sorry state. He has an instadown that can get multiple people, but it is really bad. The only way it is useful is if you are right against the survivors, because of his slowdown when charging it. He is like Legion in the fact that you have to know when to saw and when not to.
Bubbas got some of the strongest locker plays in the game though. Even if they get in there, his tantrum can still down people. So they cant leave until that is over, and if they wait too late you can just grab them. But that is the only thing I can think of that is strong for him.
Legions perks are really iffy at best for him.
A decent build is this:
Sloppy Butcher, BBQ, Knockout, and Deerstalker is a good build. You can choose when you want to hook people, and slugging wastes more of their time, as they often have to look for the downed person. Hooking encourages you to leave, since you can see the auras... but the only thing you don't have is gen regression perks. You just have to use slugging to apply pressure, which Bubba is very good at. There aren't many gen regression perks when starting out... but as you go through killers, you'll get more options. You can also replace Deerstalker with NOED if you are confident you can find slugged survivors, but need help in the endgame.

Sounds like based on FNaF 2, I really like the idea of a FNaF chapter... but please don't use characters like Freddy, the toys or the nightmares. They just don't fit the aesthetic, unlike one specific murderer/killer in the franchise, Springtrap. But, personally, I would like a chapter based on the novel series more than one based on the games.
Springtrap, maybe called 'The Forgotten' in DbD, fits DbD well, aesthetically and backround-wise. He is a murderer/killer trapped in a rotting, dark animatronic suit. That wouldn't really be a problem lore-wise as we already have a 'dead' killer, the Spirit. The novel series also has good options for survivors, personally I'd take John as he is the closest to the main character. The main character, Charlie, wouldn't be able to be in DbD for reasons I don't want to spoil. Also a possible map would be, similar to haddonfield, a neighborhood with Charlies childhood home which has been abandoned and left to rot for long or even the mall that is hiding the old pizzaria. The novel series would also give the devs more options for Springtrap as he has no 'set' design like his game counterpart has.
Actually, I think there are several dead killers in the DBD. Nurse, Oni, Spirit, Freddy... but I completely agree about Springtrap. He would be a perfect fit... but people here don't think that about FNaF, they just see the annoying minority of hyper-vocal kids and don't look deeper for potential.
One catch would be that he went to hell... Unless the Entity can take from hell, it is hard for Springtrap to have a canon reason to be here... that, and Glitchtrap... exists...

At the time they were considered scary. The cartoonish idiots we see in movies/television were only made long after the way, as a way to rub it in that they lost.
-
I really like the atmosphere of this map. But, this is not a killer friendly map.
-
Every player is essentially the entity. Killers are directly controlled, so the veiw is first person. Survivors do not control survivors (because controlled survivors give no hope, starving it) so that is why there is a third person view. It is just watching what they do.
-
I use rancor all the time so... I mori all the time. Its more like a cypress than a red mori, but I don't really use mori offerings because Rancor is too much fun (and with Nemesis, you can possibly mori 4 people. Three is my record)! : D
However, if I know you are a toxic little piece of work who enjoys the suffering of others, I will make your game miserable. A mori is too quick for that kind of thing. Call me toxic, at this point, I don't really care and they deserve it for being a hypocrite.
-
I would give them another part to their power: An ambushing trap.
It would work like this: The Legion can place three ambush traps, which cover a moderate area, which are literally other Legion members which frenzy and attack the survivor that trips them. They will harass that survivor until they get a hit, the survivor leaves the substantial area, or until they get pallet stunned. Then they will run to a place out of sight and despawn.
Survivors will get a slight audio cue that they triggered the trap. If there are multiple survivors in the area, they will attempt to stab every survivor once.
This gives the illusion of multiple legion members in a game, and allows Legion to actually act on information they get so readily.
You can even customize them with cosmetics you have earned, allowing each legion game to be different.
-
No. You will not get banned, as behavoir disregards those complaints.
-
Clearly. It's why they have three perks to counter it (or will when Chapter 16 goes up).
Now I hate people who just slug and let them bleed out, but that is rather in the minority as killers go, and not a necessity to adress.

Well idk about the general opinion of the population but me and my friends hate Trapper and Plague. Both m1 killers, one forces you to stare at the ground all game and the other takes away your healing and stealth options. Some of my friends like bullying baby Trappers, but they're the minority and the majority of people I know would rather face a killer with a more interesting and challenging power, like Billy or Oni. Of course this is all subjective. The survivors I see in my games as killer don't complain about the killers I play(Trapper, GF, Billy, Demo), but I know that my experience is not evidence of any popular opinion.
It is indeed subjective. A lot of the ones I go against complain because I play Legion and Deathslinger well.

How is survivor harder on stick? I've never played dbd on pc but on console survivor feels very intuitive and responsive, especially compared to killer. Just curious about your thoughts.
Some mechanics, like when Noob3 does a rapid 360, is actually impossible to do on console. There are also different commands for different actions. Skill checks also lag because of FPS and optimization issues. (sorry for the late reply, behavoir thought I was a spambot).

Legion IS counterplay. 4 second stun to leave power (double the length of a pallet stun). Hitting a Survivor normally halves the Power Gauge. Deep Wound is basically just slowdown and non-threatening.
Keeping everyone injured isn't just a Legion thing either. In high ranks, running sloppy butcher will make Survivors quit healing and just slam gens. Half my Ghost Face games are just everyone staying injured because they're paranoid about Nurse's Calling.
They apparently didn't have any on release, and people still complain about them negating pallets and window vaults for easy first hits. That wasn't the point, however, and you are using that one thing to nitpick away from what I am saying.

They like to be able to influence the outcome of a trial. They want to feel outplayed and feel like they outplayed the killer. It's not just about being able to "deny a killer's power", it's about engaging in skillful interactions and having outcomes of those interactions that feel deserved. Hence why players complain about second chance perks, which can make those players feel like outcomes were shifted in a matter undeserved. Hopefully this comment can encourage you to engage in more thoughtful and constructive discussion about counterplay and fun in the future 😊
Most of the powers survivors are more than ok with are ones they can interact with/disable. Trapper? We can disarm his traps when he isn't looking. Demogorgon? We can destroy his portals. Plague? We can deny cleanse (although not as strong as it used to be). See a theme here?
Maybe you are correct about PC. But on console, this is definitely the theme.

Billy is one of the few meta characters. Most Billies just rub against a survivor then use the saw. Or use the saw for transportation. Never for any skillful plays.
A lot of Billies run Insidious or NOED too.

I didn't think about mindgames on console. I'm guessing stick maneuverability is a limiting factor in using mindgame techniques such as blinking the red stain and moon walking? Console survivors are going to be in for a fun little surprise when cross-play arrives.
Yeah, that is an issue with console killers especially. It is why I'm kind of against PC/console crossplay because it will be a nightmare for console killers. Every trick survivors have are much, much easier on PC and many killers may not have the input precision to counter it.
It is one of the reasons Nurse is way weaker on console. She cant turn as quickly as on PC. Same with Spirit and Wraith.
-
As an Xbox Legion main, they could at least be B tier with the right player and build behind them. I would never consider them higher, because that is unrealistic. @Waffleyumboy seems to get this.
Hag and Trapper could also be put higher. Their ability to trap the map is a really big help, especially in the right hands.
Every killer who needs mindgames to get hits (Myers, Wraith, Pig, and Plague) should be B or lower, because mindgames are harder to pull off on console in general.
The rest of the rationalization makes sense though. But it falls in the same category as any tier list: They will be influenced by the person who makes it, as well as the criteria they are being judged through. I assume you are judging through viability, as everyone seems to judge that. But then what is viability? A 4k? No list is good because any killer can get a 4k. A double pip? Legion gets those really, really easily, so they would be automatic S tier for that.
This is more a tier list for yourself, and that is completely respectable.

They want interaction. Most Killers things at get complained about feel like there's no counterplay.
Examples are like Spirit, Deathslinger and Freddy. The Survivor could play as well as possible and still lose simply because of the Killer's power mechanics not being outplayed.
Most killers have counterplay built into them as their core concept. The main exceptions I can think of are: Nurse, Spirit, Legion, and now PH. Most of those got nerfed/are generally disliked by survivors. I wonder why?
Maybe it is because they like the ability to deny a killers power? Just a thought.

Honestly, I would pick this for similar reasons to @VolantConch1719. 6 protectors instead of 3, and they are specialized. They also have the biggest reasons why they might protect you.
Oni - could actually judge you worthy.
Legion - could consider you a part of them if you have proven yourself.
Leatherface - could protect you if he considers you family.
The other killers are more or less loners/don't have a reason to help you.
This is, of course, considering the entity is not involved in coming after you...

Okay just adding my own opinion in there as i have been reading others etc, i can understand why people wish to keep clothing to the lore of the characters, and yes to me the idea of Claudette in a thong i don't like. But if the designers constantly kept adding the correct attire to each lore character, i think it would be a little boring. I mean think of yourself in a sense or another person that you may know, because you like heavy metal, just say as an example and very much a huge fan horror, like thegoth style stuff, yet you dress like barbie? all pink and sweet, do make up and nails......point there is just because you like something does not mean you have to dress to stereotype. Why do they have to fit their lore character without expressing other clothing? I think it's good to see the characters not wearing their typical normal stuff, because it makes fun to have different and other clothes I would love to have Claduette like Beyonce in Golden member but since she is "shy and likes science" etc i guess this is wishfull thinking.
But we see what their default is... and the outfit details a different personality to what they have been described to be.
To put it in context, it is similar to watching Luke grow and develop in star wars... but then seeing Last Jedi. A betrayal of character. That is my take on it, anyway.
There is also many ways to show a personality, so it wouldn't be a stereotype. They already have a wide variety of stuff for Claudette. There are a lot of people who have wanted a lab coat/scientist claudette, which is something they could have tried.

@Rydog said:
Every killer uses BBQ and Pop like 80% of the time. This indicates a problem with those perks, not with any specific killer.
And Freddy is fun as heck.
Less of a problem with the perks, as they are just a symptom of a larger problem. Gen Speeds. If killers didn't feel gen speeds were an issue, there would way less Pop users out there.
BBQ is more of a grind/overall generally useful perk. It already has counters, so no need to nerf that.

That was a joke. : /

I think that they should at least make the judging criteria available to all so we can see why the cosmetics get selected. And change it slightly to make them more consistant with the character they are designing for.

Third Person Moris for Killers leave more freedom when designing a Mori. Sure, something like Nurse works better in first person, but a Mori like Legion or Demogorgon would look really strange in first person and not cool at all.
So instead of wonky camera angles, Killers also get to see the actual animation.
@LordGlint said:
Feel like youd likely miss alot with a 1st person view. Deathslinger's for example would haave you staring at a survivor's back.
@Freudentrauma said:
It really depends on the mori. Some don't work in first person others actually look kinda cool like Doc, Myers or Nurse e.g. On the other hand Killers get rarely to see their own cosmetics during gameplay and the third person mori allows it.
And as far as I remember the Clown was the last Killer with a first person Mori. Yeah, Hag and Freddy are third person. And like I said, I think it's because those don't work well in first person. With the killers from Spirit and following it's mostly similar. The only exception might be Oni, whose Mori would work quite well in First Person. And maybe even Ghostface.
But yeah, would love to see some new first person Moris as well.
These are probably the best explanations for it. It would be great to have other animations that are in first person, but not every mori works with First Person. I mean, look at PH, you wouldn't see anything through first person because of his headgear! XD

But Deathslinger is a garbage tier killer.
No, not really. I have spent a large portion of time on console getting to know him, and he can be very strong and an absolute menace to survivors. However, this also involves having the right builds, situations, and maps. I didn't say addons because I only run him without addons (maybe rusty chain if Im feeling lucky). His power is like Nurse's, in which you have to get to know default Slinger to master him well.
He can be absolutely oppressive when played well. Survivors can have very few counters to a competent Deathslinger besides genrushing.

He played against what survivors are used to, so of course he got nerfed. Doesnt matter if he is OP. It is the same reason Nurse and Spirit were nerfed.

I agree that the community should vote. I was disappointed that the Claudette cosmetic won. It does not fit her character and it's not that inspired, I saw some really good ideas for costumes and have no idea why they chose that, besides them thinking "well, this one will be easy to make, so let's choose it". Let the people vote and choose what they want to be in the game.
This was exactly my issue with the set. It just doesn't say Claudette... Nea or Yui, maybe, but not Claudette.
-

I would ask for more than just 4... maybe the top 10 for each side, then give the community vote. That, however, does not solve the issue that I am trying to solve: cosmetics that do not show the character as themselves.

It's not even a matter of wording for me. I just don't think the connection there that you propose makes sense. If it doesn't make sense for Claudette to be wearing more revealing clothing due to the description of her character, why would it make sense for Feng to go to a festival similar to the one you describe or wear garb similar to the one you describe based on the description of her character?
To (mostly) quote you, "It is never shown to be the case for Feng."
She might have gone before she was in esports? You can't just say something like that. It has never been said by the lore that she wouldn't. Not like with Claudette, where the lore disagrees with that principle.
-
Most killers have 3 red addons/items. Some killers have only two (Huntress), and some only have moris (Billy + Bubba). Since, the higher prestige, the higher rarity you get, you will get tons of red moris, as there is at least a 1/3 chance of getting them.
As there are tons of green addons/offerings, green moris are significantly less common as a result.
-
I play killer because teammates are always potatoes and its more fun to stab survivors a lot of times.
