Is that not his signature at the end? It's not a playing card.
Yeah, it's a signed autograph.

All that build up for him to be a generic not well thought out character. As in he was built like he was going to be different and more interesting then your average re villain. So much wasted potential with that character for him to just be a 5 year olds idea of power scaling with the matrix bs and the revisit into final mutations that all the games did with every last boss since Birkin.
In dbd hes either going to be matrix wesker which is lame, or hes going to be a mutated wesker. Which at that point why isnt it Birkin?
Im going to humor it and hope that bhvr can make him interesting, and im happy for the people that like him. I just cant stand him.
You and me both, mate. This is by far the least hyped I've been for a licensed chapter, hell, maybe even in general. Wesker just seems so incredibly boring and uninspired to me. Then again, I wasn't really that excited for Ringu either, and yet it ended up being one of my favorite chapters of all time, so I haven't completely lost hope yet.
-
I think Trickster should have gotten a different power to begin with, but since I also think reworking killers is a bad idea (except Nurse), he should keep his current power with some tweaks. I don't believe it's completely unsalvageable.

It would just be standard Dredge, but obviously with a Molten Freddy "themed" skin, hopefully including a few clips of his iconic voice as well
Kellen Goff should be the next survivor, honestly.

Yes, no, maybe so. At least it doesn't look like Plague threw up on them any more.

I wish there was a killer power or perk with the ability to blind survivors. I mean I've been blinded as a survivor by other survivors before, so why not?
I mean, Clown kinda does that.

a map with no god loops or bandaid breakable walls but instead a large number of mindgamable loops and weaker windows. Just making chases more dynamic while having less potential deadzones.
Behavior needs to hire this man.

Never gonna happen. Behavior has said that they want to avoid using any modern religion in DbD.
-
"oMg i'M SO SiCK oF sEeInG fNAf"
Jokes aside, I think that'd work surprisingly well, though the teleporting and Nightfall might look kinda weird with Molten Freddy.
-
Most killers I'm indifferent to, but I like playing against:
Oni, Sadako, Demo, Billy, Bubba (when they don't camp), Deathslinger
and dislike playing against:
Nurse, Hag, Plague, Twins, Pinhead, Huntress

I would have rather they done something about its synergy with another perk that requires a recent paid dlc than nerf it in a way that basically requires said perk. especially considering the gen slowdown meta got gutted outside of this specific combo to begin with.
Yeah, Overcharge was basically fine unless you stacked it with Call of Brine. So... They went and made it a worse of version of it? I don't follow their logic.
-
I think Overcharge was a little over-nerfed, and the prestige rewards are still underwhelming, but aside from those things I think it's great.
-
I still think they should have given him a power relating to music. Maybe you could change it to debuff survivors in different ways? Either way, his current power isn't that healthy.
-
In no particular order...
Killers:
- Legion
- Deathslinger
- Sadako
Survivors:
- Ash
- Steve
- Quentin
-
I hope it comes back. Vecna is practically begging to be a killer in this game.
-
Nah, he's pretty bad. He basically doesn't have a power for the first minute of the game unless he manages to hit a survivor, and even when he does get his power, it just isn't that good.
-
Joke all you want, it's still one of my favorite chapters! I just wish my girl wasn't so weak.
-
It's better than nothing, but I think that it would make Nurse too weak, which is a common trend I see when people suggest nerfs for her. That's why I think it's better to just give her a full rework. I hate reworking killers because it destroys what makes that killer... Well, that killer, but it's the only option I see for Nurse because her current power is extremely unhealthy for the game.
-
I think it's fine now, however he really needs to be buffed in some other capacity.
-
I don't understand why Behavior felt the need to make this all so... Convoluted and complex. Like, they made a whole new system and everything (which OP proved doesn't even work), when all they had to do was something incredibly simple like removing perk tiers, reducing the cost of items in the bloodweb, or increasing the amount of blood points you can earn from a match (basekit BBQ and WGLF).
-
My money is on them introducing a new survivor entirely, though if I had to pick one of the existing ones, I think Claudette, Yui, Jake, or Mikaela are the most likely to be selected.
-
That's what I'm saying! I was really hoping a male survivor would win this year, but oh well... 😥
-
Congrats to the artists that won!
Personally, I think The Artist skin that won is really cool! I'm just not a big fan of The Artist in general though so it's kinda hard to feel excited about her winning.
The Yui skin, though... Yeah I'm not really a fan. It looks like a generic Nea skin that they copy and pasted onto Yui. I think this one below looks a lot better.
Plus, I wish that a male survivor would win. Jeff and Adam need some love!
Also, both of the charms are great.
-
I admit that when I first got the game, I would BM the killer in and after the match. Fortunately it was never anything extreme, but you get the gist. I'm not proud of it, and I thankfully stopped when I started playing killer for myself.
-
I really like her too, and definitely want to see her get buffed, but for God's sake I really don't her want her to gain any anti-loop. I'm sick of it, I just want to play as and against a killer who doesn't have any. Especially the "being able to walk through pallets while demanifested" thing is a terrible idea in my opinion. I would much rather them buff Condemned or her teleport instead.
Oh, and also please make her character portrait a profile option on the forums. That would be the best buff of all.
-
My list is:
Garden of Joy (reminds me of the Baker Estate from Re7)
Ormond (I love Darkness Among Us)
Dead Dawg Saloon (I'm a fan of the eerie western aesthetic)

I like Nemesis' chase theme at least.
Yeah, at least that is pretty cool.
-
Nemesis is a pretty boring an uninteresting killer.
R.P.D just straight up sucks.
Leon, Jill, Claire, and Chris look weird.
Honestly it feels like the only thing they got right with the RE chapter was the survivor perks. Everything else was meh to bad.
-
Big W post.
I try and have a similar mindset to you when I play; sticking up for my teammates and GG-ing the killer after the match. (And trying to avoid tunneling or camping as killer.)
Honestly, I have to agree that DbD is not that good for your mental health. Obviously it wavers from person to person, but most people I know cannot play DbD for that long without having to take a break. I admit there have been many times where I myself wanted to just go outside and break something.

I did not like 2 at all. 1 was good, 2 was blaugh, 3 was good
OP stop reading unless you want mild spoilers
Although I guess my big problem with 2 is the expectations of the genre. The story was interesting and it did a good job of building to 3 but I hated the lack of kills more or less. Like I get that it's a summer camp so they likely didn't want to show a bunch of kids getting slaughtered but a good 3/4 the kills were cutaway kills. We don't watch slasher movies for it to turn away at the horror money shot and most of 2 was that. Just a very irksome experience to me watching a slasher film that was scared to show slashing...
It wasn't a bad movie but that made it very disappointing to me
Hmmm. I felt like the kills were quite good, though maybe I'm remembering things wrong.
Also, I thought watching Tommy slowly descend into madness (especially considering how nice of a guy he was before he was cursed) was really heartbreaking. While it was definitely inspired off of things like Friday the Thirteenth, I feel like Part 2 was trying to be more than just a cheesy slasher, same goes for Part 1 really (though I think it fails at this more than Part 2 did).
-
@tippy2k2 said:
Overall it's a very good series and one that could make for an easy DBD transition since they're all pretty basic slasher flicks.
Unfortunately the first one is easily the best as it kind of goes downhill (2 was especially meh) but they're all good to decent stabby stab movies to shut your brain off to and watch.
Really? I'd say it gets better as the films go on. With 1 being the most campy (but still good) and 2 and 3 being really good.

The devs will personally come to your house and have a party with you.
-
Honestly, I'd just rework her. I don't really see a way to nerf her without making her suck.
-
I envy you.
-
I saw one along the lines of "We have been trying to reach you concerning your vehicles extended warranty." with a picture of The Doctor staring directly at Feng. That one made me laugh, though sadly I forgot who said it.
-
Legion without a doubt. I wish they had kept it the same volume instead of making it quieter.
-
Old Freddy in general should come back.
-
I'd say I'm pretty happy.
While I am bit worried about some of the changes, it's very refreshing to see the devs make such a big change; I hope they keep up this attitude when it comes to changing other problems with the game.
-
That's what I thought they meant at first too, but no, it's still searching the chest. I have literally no idea what they were thinking with this "buff".

I'm quite confused aswell why the devs didn't remove range addons and changed nurses blink attacks to special attacks but it's BHVR after all.
Confusing balance decisions is part of the experience i guess
I don't understand how killers like Nemesis, Trickster, Deathslinger, Pyramid Head, Pig, and Freddy get stuck with the underpowered, uninteresting add-on's and killers like Nurse and Blight get to run around with the overpowered, broken ones.

If Wesker doesn't fit then Nemesis just doesn't fit. They both fit perfectly though. I don't know who you've talked to but Wesker is all over the RE community. His lines, his looks, his story. Wesker is iconic.
Well, I also don't think Nemesis works; at least not well. So there you go.
-
@TheDarkTyrant said:

Wesker is probably just as iconic as Nemesis. He just is. He was the very first villain. I know without a doubt he is the 2nd most iconic villain. I guess is he as recognizable as Nemesis outside of RE? Not really. Nemesis is like Mario and stuff. Not everyone necessarily has to be a fan or even play RE but he's just such an iconic image that a lot people have at least just seen him. Wesker I wouldn't say is that but for RE he is definitely one of the most iconic.
As I said, in-universe Wesker is very important, but outside of it? I 100% disagree. I'll tell you, before I got into Re, I had absolutely no clue who Wesker was; I had never even heard of him. If anything, I was told to avoid Re5 and 6 (especially 6) because they weren't nearly as good as the rest of the games in the franchise. I had primarily heard people talk about Mr. X, Nemesis, and Jack Baker. (More so the first two).
Also, him being "iconic" doesn't fix that I think he doesn't fit in DbD from an aesthetic, lore, or design standpoint.
-
@squbax said:
Jack baker is literally a dbd killer already, it actually triggers me how he has been missed twice.
That's what I'm saying! It feels like he was made to be a killer in this game.

Here's what I would do for each killer, some of them are buffs, and some are just changes or tweaks.
Trapper: Give him an adrenaline mechanic. Basically, whenever a survivor steps closer to an active trap, Trapper, slowly get's faster. Let's say, 10 meters - 1% faster, 5 - meters -3%, 3 meters - 4%, 1 meter - 5%. Also, when a survivor actually steps in a trap, Trapper gains a massive speed boost for a few seconds, something like 30%. Obviously the numbers could be tweaked, but you get the deal.
Wraith: Just revert the lunge nerf, and remove Lightburn.
Hillbilly: Nerf/remove his overheat and give him an add-on pass.
Nurse: Can go ######### off. Rework her completely.
Myers: I'd give him the ability to enter a state where he moves incredibly fast and cannot be seen by survivors while in Tier-1. However, he can only enter/exit this state while not in direct line of sight of a survivor. (I'm trying to emanate how Myers seems to teleport while the camera isn't on him during his movies.) Myers will now be able to revert back to Tier-1 from Tier-2, but he'll have to re-stalk survivors to re-enter Tier-2. Survivors will now slowly regenerate stalk throughout the match. Lastly, Tier-3 will now work like Oni's Blood Fury, where it'll automatically cap when you reach 100%, and you'll have to enter it manually. (This would be so much smoother and less clunky to use then what we have now.)
Hag: Her traps are automatically destroyed when she hooks a survivor within 16 meters, and she also will no longer be able to place traps within 16 meters of a hooked survivor. Her traps can no longer be destroyed using flashlights.
Doctor: Maybe make the stun time when he shocks a survivor a little longer? Honestly I think his biggest issue is just latency.
Huntress: Fix her fridge-sized hitboxs. I'm aware the devs did this in the past and it apparently made her a lot weaker, so to compensate I'd buff her in some other way, probably by giving her more hatchets or maybe increasing her thrown hatch speed.
Bubba: Honestly not too sure. Maybe make it so he can't regenerate tokens while within 16 meters of a hooked survivor? That way if he messes up his chainsaw sweep he at least has to leave the area before he can use it again.
Freddy: Revert him back to Old Freddy but keep his gen teleport and nerf his slowdown a little. Also, make the Dream World more nightmarish. Spooky screaming in the background, dead bodies everywhere, fire and smoke flaring from the walls; things like that.
Pig: Again, not too sure what to do with her. I guess you could make her a little bit faster while crouched, and give her an add-on pass.
Clown: Give him a new ability in which he can place down a barrel of the Afterpiece Tonic. It'll permeate throughout the area for around 45 seconds, and it then goes on cooldown for 80 seconds. It cannot be picked up once placed down. Also, Separate his Tonics and his Antidotes, so he can reload them individually.
Spirit: No changes, I can't really think of any.
Legion: Their recent changes contained everything I wanted, so no updates from me.
Plague: Redesign her vomit hitbox. Currently, it's extremely clunky.
Ghostface: He can no longer be revealed by hooked and dying survivors.
Demo: He can now destroy his own portals, so he can replace them wherever he wants. Doing this, though, has a short cooldown.
Oni: Again, no changes. I think he's in a great spot right now.
Deathslinger: His chain now travels 24 meters, instead of 18. His chain also now takes longer to break depending on how far away he speared you. Also, give him an add-on pass.
Pyramid Head: Make transitioning into and out of Rites of Judgement smoother. Also, buff his cake.
Blight: Remove all his "techs", and give him an add-on pass.
Twins: Victor can now return to Charlotte during his attack cooldown. Victor is automatically killed if he is within 16 meters of a survivor when they are hooked. Victor can also now attach himself to injured survivors if they have the Endurance status affect.
Trickster: Changing this guy is tricky (pun intended). Part of me says just completely rework him, but I hate doing that so I'll try to change his current power. Firstly, increase his base speed to 115%. Increase the amount of blades he can hold to 60. It now takes 16 blades to injure a survivor. Laceration now no longer decays overtime, Survivors can preform a quick action to remove the blades stuck in their skin. For each blade stuck in a survivor, their action speed is decreased by 1%. The Event Meter now takes much longer to fill. When it is filled, though, you can hold it forever. Tricksters base speed is increased to 120% while in Main Event. Lastly, completely remove his recoil and spread.
Nemesis: His tentacle now reaches two meters farther, as compared to the current 1 meter while in Tier-3. Also in Tier-3, his tentacle can damage generators, break boons, close the hatch, and a few other actions. Fix his downright terrible zombie AI. Lastly, give him an an add-on pass.
Pinhead: Survivors can now see each others auras while World of Pain is active. This is designed to make him less miserable to face in Solo-Que.
Artist: Not too sure what to do with her. I guess make it so her birds cannot injure anyone unless they are already swarmed, regardless of distance. To compensate, it now takes slightly longer to repel a swarm of birds.
Sadako: Significantly reduce the duration that Tv's remain off. Condemned now builds up slowly throughout the entire match, much like Freddy's passive sleep. She is now no longer slowed down while demanifesting or manifesting.
Dredge: I think he's good right now. Maybe make it so when he teleports to a remnant, he comes out automatically facing the nearest survivor? Not sure if that'd be too disorienting or not.
If you actually read all of this, you deserve a cookie 🍪
