Don't run add-ons that alter his timing or speed as you learn him -- if you go for any add-ons, go for things like Steel Toe Boots or Junkyard Air Filter.
Don't worry about winning the game, just play for saws. I rarely ever use a basic attack. Sometimes survivors will not heal knowing you only saw, do what you want there, but practice is practice.
Perks - Go for Lethal, BBQ, Nowhere to Hide, Awakened Awareness, Shadowborn. Shadowborn is something that just makes him easier to play. All you want to do is find people, don't worry about the gens.
If you want to watch someone play him well, UncleStanBana is on twitch and youtube. I am sure there are others, but he is the one I found that is consistent.
( This is for mouse and keyboard ) Remap your look left and right keys to Q and E. Increase your controller sensitivity to 100%. (This is explained in a video below.)
Curving just comes down to knowing the tile. There are plenty of tiles you can curve without engravings.
Back-reving, the survivor is just out in the open and you are right behind them, just be patient. Keep the survivor in front of you while you watch the meter. You'll get more consistent the more you do it.
These will point you in the right direction, they both hold up.
BECOME A GOD TIER HILLBILLY - COMPLETE GUIDE TO BILLY - YouTube
How to Curve with Billy on PC & Controller | DBD Billy Curving Guide 2023 - YouTube
He is my absolute favorite character in the game, there is a skill to him that isn't widely seen, and it just feels good getting a nice curve on someone. Survivors are usually happy to go against a curving Billy too, really no reason to pass him up. It'll be a challenge, but definitely commit to it. There are only a handful of killers I can have fun with, and he is at the top for me.

Whoa, that's trippy. Noticed it immediately.

I have a perk I want to share that is really interesting but may be too overpowered haha.
Combat Strike ~
'' Years of combat training taught you how to defend yourself even in the most dangerous situations ''.
Whenever you search a chest, once per Trial you can earn the item called the ''Entity's Glove''. The perk also grants you to be able to rummage through a chest once if it's already been opened. When you have the ''Entity's Glove'', Press the active ability button to put the glove on, when the glove is on, these affects apply:
- Whenever you are in a chase with the killer, press the active ability to use the Entity's Glove to attack the killer, a short punching animation will play for 1/1.5/2 seconds, if the killer is within 3 meters of you're punching animation, the killer will be stunned for 4 seconds if they are within range, if the killer is not within range or if they dodge the punches, no stun will be applied to the killer.
- The glove is consumed by the entity whenever you use the glove against the killer, or if you pick up another item by any means.
'' This item isn't anything out of the ordinary, it's possible that we can use it for to our advantage. This time, our predator becomes the prey.'' - Unknown Survivor.
The strength comes in when saving others. That is just a flashlight on steroids with 20 different attachments sold only through those tv commercial ads.
Yeah, it's a little on the over tuned side. You'd need a lot more conditions to make it work, while toning down the numbers.
-
Shadowborn looks so good.
Surprised to see this is a thing, though I rarely ever play Freddy.
-
So Babysitter and For the People? As long as there is a button to activate, sure. I think I'd rather just use FTP though.
-
I would love to see this added. Had a conversation about this before and came to the conclusion where she would need to do a vault like animation at every doorway haha. Not a crazy idea so long as her power is worth that downside. Lery's sounds fun.
From a survivor standpoint, this killer seems like she would be a lot of fun to play against. As a killer, I'm not too sure. She is kind of a basic M1 with the ability to teleport and has a dash after the teleport. The teleport isn't very interactive and very RNG based. The power would need some loving but could work for sure. I would love to play against her as a survivor.
Perk-wise though:
Dragon Claw
Sure, that is cool, seems like this should be added to the game at some point.
Dungeon of Sorrow
Damn, this is kind of wild. I think it is too much. 120 seconds of exit gate blocking for both gates and all you have to do is run them off the gate. The stacks will build passively so getting value wouldn't be that hard. How would this work with NWO? I would hope it would trigger when NWO triggers. Still though, kind of crazy. It's just a better NWO.
Scourge Hook: Careful What You Wish For
That's kind of cool, why not. Add in some more flavor. Something stealth killers would run for sure. I think it should have a duration for the exposed though, can be too griefy otherwise. Something like 30-40 seconds with no CD.
Fun read, appreciate you sharing the concept. Excited to see it next RE chapter.
-
I agree, the wording would imply synergy. That is not how they intended it to work though.
-
Sadge
-
That's a bummer, really was looking forward to it. It's not busted because the killer can always kick the gen.

No, you didn't waste your time at all! I asked the question because I've recently gotten interested in math and I want to understand how to calculate equations like that. It's interesting that your math is different from Peanits's math, though. I just skimmed your answer quickly, so I'll look it over carefully.
I probably made a mistake somewhere but I'm not seeing it. Something will pop out eventually haha

Without doing math, just do the gen. With math:
90 c / (1 - 0.04) c/s = 93.75 s --- 2 Stack Than
90 c / (2 - 0.04 - 0.16) c/s = 50 s --- 2 Stack Than and 2 man gen
90 c / (1 - 0.02) c/s = 91.84 s --- 1 Stack Than 90
90 c / (1 - 0.02 - 0.16) c/s = 49.45 s --- 1 Stack Than and 2 man gen
OPTION 1:
Survivor A works on the gen. Survivor B heals in front of Survivor A and then immediately gets on the gen to help Survivor A finish it.
93.75 s - 16 s = 77.75 s
77.75 / 93.75 = x / 49.45
x = 41.05
41.05 + 16 = 57.05 s
OPTION 2:
Survivors A and B get on the gen and work on it, while afflicted with thanatophobia.
90 c / (2 - 0.04 - 0.16) c/s = 50 s --- 2 Stack Than and 2 man gen
OPTION 3:
Survivor A heals Survivor B and vice versa. Then both get on the gen immediately and work on it until completion.
32 s
90 c / (2 - 0.16) c/s = 48.91 s --- 2 Man gen
32 + 47.91 = 79.91 s
With math, just do the gen.
I wasted my time haha, I still had fun. ggs

I don't know why people always go most extreme case scenario with perks like this. Seemed unlikely people were going to be held against their will on a hook especially in Solo.
It will happen if there is the opportunity. There is no question to that.
The ability to opt out of the perk when on the hook would have been the better change, yeah. I get where they are coming from though. I'll probably still use the perk anyway but it will not completely shutdown the camping strategy like it probably should. The threat alone should discourage the face camp like how ds discouraged the tunnel, but I'm not sure the threat remains with this nerf. They'll adjust come the midchapter if the need arises.
-
Just take CoH and Botany. Get good with wasting the killer's time and you will win more often than not.
Edit:
And of course bond.
-
The challenge itself and knowing that not many within the game are truly excelling with them. I get that most with Billy and Huntress and that is why I play them so much.
-
It's something, but I feel if people want to tunnel to have an easy game, they are going to do it regardless of the 5% debuff.
-
You forgot bond.
Haha, I wouldn't say meta, just good in general.
-
I ran just resilience anyway so it doesn't make too much a difference to me. Resilience alone is still really good.

Speed: 4.8 m/s
Height: Tall
TR: 0 m with lullaby of 16 m when not fully in shadow realm.
The Myth starts in shadow realm, he is completely undetectable, cannot be seen or heard. In this state, he can only stalk survivors. Once he reaches his stalk requirement on a survivor, the connection between the shadow realm and reality begins to blend. The Myth now begins to phase in and out of existence for stalked survivors within 16 m, similar to a flickering light. When any stalked survivor stares at the Myth, think how Ghostface reveal works, he becomes motionless while gaining tokens for his power, Phase. The Myth can have a total of 8 charges of Phase and gains a token every second a survivor reveals him. The Myth can consume tokens of Phase to instantly warp forward 0-16m by default or 0-8m while being revealed by a survivor. Phasing cannot be performed through obstacles or survivors. After a consuming a Phase token, the Myth will not gain tokens for 3 seconds. While the Myth is revealed by a survivor, he may so choose to conserve his tokens and warp out of range of stalked survivors.
Eight pages are spread around the map. as survivors collect pages, the distance of the Myth's Phase power increases, 2 m per page when not revealed and 1 m per page when revealed.
At the start of the game, all survivors will begin at 0 affliction with the curse and over time gain affliction as the pages exist. For each page existing, all survivors gain 0.5 affliction every second. When survivors reach 700 affliction, they can be mori'd. Revealing the Myth will cleanse the affliction of that survivor by 2 per second.
--------------
I feel like this could work; some details might need to be hammered out but this was just my take. Fun to think about, appreciate the initial post of creativity.
-
I really like the creativity and seeing something like this in DBD would be really cool as I am also a fan of Slenderman. That being said, the power is kind of lack luster.
You start as a cloaked Sadako that has to stalk every survivor for at least 5 seconds. When you finally power up, you gain a single nurse blink, that if you hit or miss you are cloaked again. If you stalk enough, gaining T3 for every survivor, they are afflicted with jump scares that reveal their location. If they want to cleanse the jump scares, they have to collect pages; collecting the pages powers up the killer's chase.
I think you have something going here for sure but do not be scared to buff him up from current. As he is now, I feel it would not be far off to say he is the weakest of the killers. I think the revealing is nice but as a survivor, I would just ignore the pages. The other thing that concerns me, if a survivor hides all game and you cannot find them, you cannot kill anyone. That would become a strategy to win games against him.
The perks:
Always Watching: This first part is pretty strong but revealing auras when survivors let go of a gen could be a really nice addition to the game.
Something Awful: Little worried about the concept of breaking a standing pallet, it could be something nice added to the game but it kind of removes a fun aspect of the game. Not too sure myself on this.
Hex: Unseen: Reverse plaything with only a single totem. Sure, why not.

Lightborn Franklins

The Cursed power sounds fun with the ability to jump over small obstacles. I can imagine him jumping through all the bits within Garden of Joy haha. Hopefully his map doesn't encourage his power too much though, Billy would have his feelings hurt.
The Cursed comes with 3 new perks.
Terrorizer:
That's a pretty cool idea and would be a neat addition into the game.
Thrill of the Kill:
It says "reveals auras" but does not say the duration after the down. I like the idea, just a little worried with nurse giving her a better infectious.
Cursed Blood:
Not too much of a fan, I just don't see myself running it. You could maybe make it activate like how forced penance does to add synergy with it, idk.
Laura Kearney Perks:
Silver Bullet:
This sounds pretty fun as long as there is some indication I think. Like maybe when the survivor reaches the stacks, pulling out the 'silver bullet' will give a sound cue for the killer. They should drop chase there but if they don't, they get punished. You could probably reduce the stacks to 3 or 4. I also do not think it should remain indefinitely with the survivor. It should maybe act for 80 seconds or so.
Last Resort:
I do not like this. I just don't think it is fun gameplay to go down instantly without any reason other than some survivor perk. If you are wanting to go this direction, I would suggest making it work similar to 'For the People'. If I run this perk, I can activate it on another survivor, either when I am healing them or looking at them within 1-2 meters. When used, I gain the obsession status, which would queue the killer in to knowing. When that survivor is downed, I take their state, maybe even trade places with them. I guess if it works that way, it would just become a better 'For the People'. Idk, I'm sure you can go somewhere with it.
Battle-Hardened:
I'm getting technician and iron will vibes. Uh, sure. I don't have too much of an opinion here.
Ryan Perks:
Call of the Sea:
Do I just need to be working on the gen when it is completed to gain a stack or do I have to contribute 100% progress? If it is the first, I can see people really using this as a group to just annoy the killer. If it is the latter, sure, just doesn't feel that impactful.
Knowledgeable:
I guess this could be pretty cool, and combining it with other skill check perks to make it better would just top it off.
Intuition:
Yeah, we need one of these.
Awesome work on the ideas, a fun read.
-
You just have to go for it. It's that much better when everyone gets out.
-
That's kind of cool, I like the idea and the style. The numbers sound kind of wild here and there but enjoying the idea of a transforming robot as a killer. Malware is a pretty cool perk, Ascended mind just sounds like a better Whispers but maybe that's not a bad thing. Self-Overwrite doesn't seem very useful though, combining light-born and enduring. Though stacking it with enduring sounds fun haha.
Awesome job.
-
Most - Billy Huntress
Common - Demo Spirit Nurse Blight
Sometimes - The rest
-
Huh, trying to find something wrong with the post but I really just can't. That sounds like it would help quite a bit, buffing him as killer while making him less obnoxious to play against in the lower end games. You would need to change some of his add ons but honestly, I really like what you have come up with here.
Awesome job man, hope they take this into consideration as they continue their updates.
Edit:
I think legion is also boring to play as and I think this might make it a little be less so. I would have to play it to know for sure, though I doubt I'd play him that much more.
-
Windows for sure, pallets no. But I think Old Newspaper should be basekit as well.
-
I really like how it is now, a lot easier to counterplay but very rewarding getting use out of it. If someone uses it on me, it's not frustrating anymore and it's more either a bad play of me or a really good play on them.
-

Cool perk concept. I don't think it's really a boon perk though (it doesn't work like other boon perks). It could just be a regular (non-boon) perk and have a different interaction prompt so you can run this perk and regular boons without them interfering. In game, you'd then have to make a choice.
Yeah, that is fair, just taking a different turn.

I don't like the idea of tying it to a perk because then it would require that perk be used, but the rest of this idea is entirely legit. Instead of spawning in an area with a totem, you could use a totem to perform the ritual and it could take the same length of time as blessing a hex totem. It would also give a reason to do dull totems and limit the number of times the survivors could perform the ritual by virtue of the number of totems. The only downside is that Hex: Pentimento would reveal exactly where the ritual happened, but that seems like it would even be good? If they revive the totem to get the slowdown, you get another totem to perform the ritual on if they try to use it to facecamp.
Even if this was a perk, the perk's existence would be more effective at stopping facecamping than basekit BT, DS, or Kinship. If you facecamp, you're taking a gamble that none of the other 3 survivors brought the perk. If it was a perk though, I think the afflictions given to the ritual performer would have to go away. The ritual already takes long enough and a perk is really supposed to be mostly beneficial.
Yeah, I would like something to counter it by base game means, I just think making it a perk would be more enticing to add as it doesn't require changing base mechanics. Idk, anything to counter the facecamp.
I don't think you can bless rekindled totems at current patch so this perk/action can't punish pentimento, though that would be a cool interaction.
Yeah, I think it would be pretty effective. I think there needs to be some sort of downside so people don't just do a totem because it is closer. If a survivor is selfish to complete a gen across the map, they shouldn't also be able to get the unhook right away just because a totem is nearby. It should take some time and have some sort of counter play to it.
-

Not a fan of the husk idea myself but that ritual idea seems legit. Even if they don't add it in exactly, adding it in as a boon totem could also work.
Boon: Sacrificial Offering
A Boon that offers comfort amidst the terror.
Press and hold the Active Ability button near a Dull or Hex Totem to bless it and sacrifice the totem.
When beginning to bless a totem, a global chime will play indicating the boon attempt.
Soft chimes ring out within a radius of 24 meters during the blessing attempt.
When the totem is fully blessed:
The totem breaks and a random survivor currently hooked will be rescued and summoned to the broken totem.

It's another way to enjoy the game, rather than taking offense, enjoy the gameplay. When this happens to me, I can appreciate the attempt to try and have fun with the game rather than mindlessly holding m1 on gens for blood points.
-
I know I'm not in the minority here but what about Lady Dimitrescu?
-
Autodidact metaaaaa
-
Thanks man, appreciate it.
-
Ohhhhh, oops. Didn't realize you could do old challenges.
-
The first few are fun and a good addition.
Do it yourself' is kind of strange. I rarely see it activating unless matchmaking is having a hard time. Also, if you are able to run the killer that long, most gens should be done making the results less valuable. I don't think you should buff it, I think it should just be different.
Persistent is a bit niche as well. You could see some value but for 40 second? Idk if that is worth. It could just be me; I'd rather go CoH and ShadowStep if I wanted to accomplish the same thing.
Mending perks are a cool idea, they should add them in. 9 seconds sounds like a lot though, could work.
I like being able to see what the killer sees with insight. That is a cool idea to run with. You could probably buff it and it'd be fine. I don't think what you have is very strong but it is a cool concept.
-
I love the perk, I use it on almost every killer. I can say it is a little overtuned when you pair it with add ons, but with perks it's not. Maybe they can make an edit to the addon duration increase but I'd rather play against lethal than another slowdown.

It feels like a nerf, making it a endurance statut effect is a big nerf.
And when we touch a gen it deactivate ? omglol
Current MoM is way better, its just hard to activate.
Yeah, I can see that. You don't have to force the value anymore I would think. I never used it myself but maybe I'll see it more.
-
Oh and the MoM change was pretty cool too.
-
Yeah, right on the nose, agreeing with everything you bring up. You got me laughing with the cowshed existing complaint haha. I know eventually it will be tackled but as you said, it doesn't really apply to the mass player-base, so I get it.
