I'd like an outfit for Gabriel, he's been out for a while but he's lacking in the cosmetic department. I'd also like outfits for David, Felix, and Jonah; it feels like they haven't gotten anything in a while. Elodie and Vittorio would be nice too.
Honestly. With the exception of the alien midchapter/Halloween event, Gabriel has gotten at least a skin every update. It's just that its lacking in diversity and they are giving him lore accurate skins. Which is good, but it can be a bit stale when it's hard to combo space suits with other skins.
Waiting for shirtless gabriel btw. Yup. I said it
-
Doubt they will do anything huge this year or at all anymore like confirm another character. They literally ignored david and neglected him for months without new skins during that time last year.
Guess ppl complaining about david being gay made them afraid to do anything bold anymore. And i truly was upset when they didnt even acknowledge david during pride month at all.
-
I truly believe we need a perk for survivors where a stun causes them to be "incapacitated" and cant use their powers for a few seconds. We need more diverse perks tbh.
-
Personally i like it. Its not for everyone, its situational, and you have to be aware in chases and be good at it. I love to run it with bond. And now that both perks are the same range, i will now know that a teammate is getting value from quick gambit if i see their aura while distancing myself appropriately.
Once again, not an easy perk. But i see why ppl would prefer a general perk like deja vu over it. Its simple and easy to use.
-
We may need to test out ftp buckle in this ptb. Because you do become the obsession and lose a health state in the process.
-
People gonna tunnel regardless. They still do with pain res and pop.

@fussy said:
Literally first thing at the game rewarding killer for spreading hooks and no tunneling and people are crying EVEN THERE.
Things that promote to hook different people SHOULD be strong enough to replace tunneling, which is only available strategy if you play to win not against potatoes.
Grim Embrace is only thing that hyped me in this patch and if you guys will whine enough to its nerf after PTB, i mean, all tunneling in the world is what you are completely deserve.
There is nothing wrong with voicing our concerns over a perk. That's what ptb is for. Regardless, people are gonna do what they wanna do. People still tunnel even with pain res. But at least the other side can do something against it be it, sabotage or get right back on the gen. Grim embrace does not fit that. And it will force the other side to do nothing at all or go for a save. Which can be abused by proxy campers in solo q. We still gonna see tunneling killers anyways running pain res/pop/ and most likely with Grim embrace anyways. We see that even now with the 1st 2 perks respectively.

@VomitMommy said:
How exactly is that better than Pain resonance?
It's perk that promotes going for different survivors (not tunneling). How can this ever be a bad thing?
I wonder how it is going to work with DMS. That could be fun combo.
This is nothing like old Eruption.
If I want to camp, I will use Deadlock. That's way better for this.
I said it's combo is just too strong where one side can't do anything to progress the game. The same is happening with ftp and buckle up where it's out of your control. With deadlock, at least you can go to another gen and work on it. Here, it forces the other 3 to not progress the game at all. And if the killer knows that they aren't doing anything, then they can just proxy camp the hook. Tunneling isn't the issue here for me. It's combination of other perks that makes proxy camping stronger while receiving benefits from a pain res hook and forcing hook trades throughout the first half of the match
-
Poor swamp map. Being neglected is honestly a trend these days. Not just for certain survivors. No worries. Patience will be rewarded.

This is true as well. If I look at some of the 3-Gens that spawn on the Maps, the Killer can easily interrupt the Survivor reparing before 5% are repaired, meaning they wont even need to kick the Gen again, which would bypass the hard limit of kicking.
But it also incentives survivors to split up and do separate gens at that point. Because if a killer sees you going back to gen and come right back, that also in turn makes them lose time going back to the other gen further away in the 3 gen. Regardless, the killer has to decide to take chase anyways.
-
Now that mft is nerfed to the ground, they have set their sights on more perks. Ftp+buckle up and once again distortion. Would yall like it if we just dont run any perks at all? How about we just sit in the middle of the map and let yall hook us to make it easier and fun for you guys! You'd like that huh?
-
I get nervous when I see other switch players. Not that you know, I'm worried about their skill level. It's just that I'm like an OG switch dbd switch player that played the game ever since it first became available on switch. So my hours most likely will be much higher than others. Literally rivals PC players in terms of hours. I just love the game. Lol!
-
No mither.
-
Have a feeling those default glasses are purely aesthetics for her with her theme in lore. She probably really don't have vision problems like dwight when he loses his glasses.
-
I'm also a bit jealous how mobile come up with high quality skins than core. Even new survivors get more skins at their debut with general outfit skins being accessible to them. Core devs really needs to take a few notes on how to make good skins like them.
-
Nah. But im willing to trade all exhaustion perks for regression perks being taken away. But im sure killers wouldnt want that

Seems pretty unlikely to me. The show ended years ago, and there aren't really any characters or elements in the show that would appeal to anyone who hasn't seen it.
Just think about it, someone who hasn't seen Alien, Hellraiser, or Stranger Things have Xenomorph, Pinhead, and the Demogorgon to catch their attention with cool, iconic designs. While Supernatural has.. guy with yellow eyes, or a generic evil dog.
I believe supernatural honestly can fit into dbd. Lorewise even due to the entity itself being a higher power creature from who knows where. But I do agree that it may not be as popular as the other iconic licenses we have already. But they can get good options of legendaries skins for Dean and Sam being castiel and Bobby respectively. Even their perks can be integrated into dbd very well based on what they have done in the show.
-
Maybe next week. Technically they may still be in holiday break.
-
Keep it simple. Love the snowskulls. Nice jumpscares from snowmen. Although i wish we had those cute snowmen back and high five with extra Bloodpoints.
My only complain is this.
Like. Exsqueeze me. I thought yall said on livestream autohaven would also be DECKED the house down boots like Ormond. Yall need to spice up the decorations rather than just put a few presents around the trial. We need more christmas trees rather than just being in the basement and lockers lit up with lights by default. Need some christmas lights on the cars. The trash cans. Something. Lets really light up autohaven next time
-
I've noticed as well. Even dbd streamers that are survivor mains have noticed as well. And it really throws ppl off when they do it while killers break a pallet and you lose distance because of that.
-
Bloodhound counters distortion and calm spirit when you managed to get them injured. Oh wait.....nobody runs that perk because they are scared to be different.
-
Slowly chucky players are going back to their weskers anyways. Had it not been for that 180 flick nerf in latest patch, we'd see more of him. But his numbers have been going down lately.
Id say chucky is for console players while wesker is for pc players. Console players can easily "hug tech" themselves with ease while its much harder for wesker.
-
I don't see why distortion needs a nerf. Killers who rely on a full aura perk build is not a good choice anyways. A good killer knows to balance their build. The same goes for survivor as well. Focus on one aspect, you are weak in another.

Do they do many skins for the guys? Every time I see people mention their skins and show pictures it's rarely of the guys.
Because male survivors dont sell well. Unless you're dwight. And honestly its tragic but not surprising that feng and dwight are the first to get mobile skins to core. I got so used to the favoritism of the female survivors over male ones, be it skins, community skins etc, that i rarely care anymore because it saves me money tbh. Cause the skins that will come to core from mobile will be auric cells only and may be time limited anyways.
-
No what they shouldve done was keep those boxes that spawn in the trials that they shown in her teaser on twitter. It looked like a box where she couldve reload some drones but it never showed up on release.

All good skin ideas are using for Feng... Who cares other survivors... When you can get so much money from Feng
True. Yet Feng players get it the worst and I never feel bad either. Not because of the amount of skins, but because most of her skins as of recently have been time limited and only auric cells. The next feng one will be only auric cells permanently. Lol!
No way I'm paying for skins that they don't put effort in nor being receptive to what that particular character base wants.

Ikr! And you expect me to buy his next skin (will not say what it is of course) over this! Like be for real bhvr. Thank goodness for 4 weeks later auric cells to shards. Cause uh....it ain't worth.
-
It's really making me ticked off that DBD mobile is even giving newer characters more options than core. Like how does Gabriel get more skin options on his debut in mobile than core? Like are they not emBARRASS, cause this is really emBARASSing. Lack of innovation on game mechanics and skins.
-
Ive seen quite a few lately. She's uncommon right now while haddie is more rare. And that's because elodie has recently gotten her pjs back in the store so more ppl are playing her right now.
-
I literally don't care for winstreaks in this game. But if some players need self validation on a casual asymmetrical horror video game, more power to them.
-
Luck definitely needs to be buffed imo. Its literally the only game mechanic that hasnt been touched since debut.

I mean, are these builds not disliked for a reason?
Three Distorts make you a tunnel target, No Mither puts you at a grave disadvantage and against killers like Oni can entirely ruin your chances at survival, and Solo Survivors mean pushing a 3v1 from the start.
Fundamentally, if these builds are getting dodged, is that not a sign that those builds and perks are not constructive to you winning or losing as a team, and that they should be changed in some way?
When I use no mither, I literally just want to have a good time and feel more pressure in a horror game. Besides, when I play no mither I'm not selfish at all. When it comes down to it, I'll literally take a down for a tunneled person on death hook always. Now of course, there are some ppl that will not do the same for me because of that mindset that I'm throwing for having no mither and they hate me for having it on. Which is tragic and also a reason I don't want ppl to see my load out at times in the lobby to dodge me.
-
Meh. People really set themselves up and have high expectations. But I don't play this game very often to the point I demand things quickly from the devs. I've noticed they've been more transparent and I'm ok with that. And I do know they have limitations as well. Maybe ppl are just burnt out.
-
They either forgot or they just went on their holiday break so they really aren't going to do anything until they come back early January

Indeed. Same reason why Feng gets so many cosmetics while some survivors have to wait for a long time to get anything.
And it's the way that most of her recent skins have been time limited and auric cells only. Lunar skin, anniversary skin, the Halloween skin. Rift skins of course. All auric only. And supposedly, her next skin will be auric cells permanently only as well.

This comes across as horribly naive about human nature lol.
BHVR pretty much hit the nail on the head with their answer. There will be a limit to what they can do about soloQ because randoms will never care that much about other randoms. The amount of times I've gone to second stage on hook one, been knowingly sandbagged, been held hostage by hiding teammates, been left to die in endgame, etc is more than I can count.
Now don't get me wrong I don't think it's malicious but rather just apathetic. The average random just doesn't care about other average randoms because they just don't really have a reason to? And they're always gonna make their survival the priority and no amount of HUD changes are going to fix that.
And if you think about it, that's kinda how it is in reality sometimes. Even in horror movies. Let be real, I would put myself first in a horror movie if I was the random. I'd be more inclined to save or help someone if I know them personally. That's just human instincts that can't be changed even if they managed to buff solo q somehow. It all comes down to the person making the decision and what they want to do. It can help a bit, sure. But I don't think it'll drastically change much.

I mean, nobody is stopping him. And most people would probably not care either.
I mean, who would stop playing DBD or anything when Otzdarva is not a Fog Whisperer anymore? Or would not play DBD anymore?
I definitely didn't start playing dbd because of otz. Didn't even know who he was when I started at All Kill Chapter. And that definitely won't stop me playing if he decides to leave dbd tbh.
And why do we only focus on the negatives? He has made some positives that influenced their decisions before. Be it perks, medkits nerfed, and many others. I don't see why otz is selling himself short.
-
Chile. I made 3 reports with video evidence of sandbagging teammates working with killer and I never get ingame report feedbacks of an action being taken. So I just gave up reporting altogether. I lost faith in them. So at least I can't be disappointed any longer when it comes to their report system. Its bad.

@Game4Fun said:
Why did y'all nerf Made for this knowing killers had blood lust and other perks that speed them up are y'all doing this on purpose or y'all showing this game is killer sided
Because killers complain the most when it comes to chases that don't last less than 10 seconds. They say it's for free. Yet, they not going after resilience since it's for free as well by just being injured.
But oh well. Survivor perks never last long anyways when meta. We have been running the same old meta builds for years like lithe, SB, adrenaline, bond, windows, resi etc.
-
While it's true too many aura reading perks are making the game stale and we need more types of perks. Keep in mind, killer and survivors can only have 4 perks and no more than that.
But even with new types of perks etc, its honestly up to playerbase. They make new types of perks like teamwork perks, scourge hooks, boons. Some are just popular, others aren't. I just wish ppl would run all kinds of perks rather than meta ones, but it's their choice
-
I honestly just believe they ban blatant hackers that's it. I've reported 3 times with a small video evidence of teammates working with killer. And not once did I get an ingame report that an action was taken like other ppl get.
So I'm just gonna give up on even trying to report cause I don't trust them at all anymore.
-
Listen. I'm gonna ask what I wanna ask. No one is gonna stop me. I will have my shirtless gabriel one day.

Firstly,
Nightlight is not a good place to go for statistics, because it is an extremely small sample size of the games that are actually played
Secondly,
Lets look at actually officially released data from a few months ago
https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/ZHSW02L40K4Q/image.png
Usage rate =/= effectiveness. Of course something with a higher skill ceiling is going to have less use rate. Because for some reasonthis community thinks you always need to balance and look at "average" players. Even nightlight, which is not accurate, is showing something similar that the previously released statistics are showing. Look at all of those perks and think about it, what do the vast majority of them have in common?
- Windows of opportunity
- MFT
- Adrenaline
- Resilience
- Lithe
- Self care
- Deja Vu
- Sprint Burst
- Dead Hard
- Kindred
I'll give you a minute to think about it before i tell you the answer, but i really want you to think about it before you scroll down. Are you ready? Ok here we go...
All of these perks with the exception of Windows of Opportunity and MFT are perks that are either baseline, are are given to you on survivors for free from buying the game (or in the case of david, completing the tutorial). The 2 outliers here are MFT and Windows of Opportunity.
My explanation for WOO being there is that it is an amazing noob perk when you are new at the game and have no idea where anything is. It helps you learn maps faster and get to safety even if you aren't familiar with a map. If anything, this shows that WOO Should probably be made into a base perk that everyone gets.
What is the other outlier? MFT. Which this was before its nerf. And this shows that there is probably something wrong with MFT before the nerf. If its usage rate is SO high that it is actually beating out free perks so shortly after its release. Meaning you can't have it from shrine, you HAD to buy the DLC. This shows 2 things.
1) The singularity chapter was a financial success. Given that at least 21% of survivors owned the DLC, meaning that at minimum if DBD had a million players, they sold 168,000 copies of that DLC
2) MFT was a problem because of just how much of an outlier it was compared to all of the free non-paid perks.
You know what else those usage stats showed though? That self-care was the 6th most use survivor perk. Now, if we looked and balanced things based on usage statistics, this probably puts self-care in the "needs a nerf" range right? And i think we can all agree that currently self care is probably one of the worst perks in the game. So in short. Stop looking at usage statistics for your balance decisions. Especially from non-official sources.
Because do you know what else your "precious" nightlight shows? That
- Skull merchant is the most OP killer in the game
- Skull merchant, Twins, Onryo, Wraith, Chucky, Pyramid Head and DOCTOR all have a higher win rate than NURSE
- That all of those above killers and myers and hag have a higher win rate than BLIGHT
And if you think that doctor needs a nerf and is more OP than nurse, than i have a bridge to sell you.
Can I just throw it out there that all of Gabriel's perks were in the shrine during his tome. Which is usually a normal thing the devs do so ppl can finish their challenges.
-
@Alen_Starkly said:
I don't think anyone runs this perk, probably because there are better perks out there.
What if this perk got an additional function - you see gens auras anywhere from white to red, depending on the progress they have? (kind of like Wraith's and Legion's IRI addons)
I agree with that buff. But I can see some positives and negatives with choosing visionary over perks like deja vu. You can immediately go straight for the closest gen and finish it before a deja vu user wasting time traveling to a specific gen and doing it for 6% increase. Which only shaves off like 3 seconds in total.
But it can lead to 3 gen situations with visionary users tho unless they actually strategically plan out preventing that with their more expansive aura reading. So it really depends on the players style. Which I prefer visionary. I get to immediately get on a gen and hopefully finish b4 someone goes down. Cause so many killers run pain res.
-
Old habits die hard for me. So I still use mft. Now I use it with overcome in case of a slugging situation which has occurred already with one in mind against a slugging condemned onryo. I also use it with styptics now.
-
Sad part is, so far, every banner and badge till new year will be either fomo or must be purchased. And Im assuming the badges and banner will be in the next rift but in premium pass. So that will be 1000 AC to get most likely and grinding.
-
I don't hate any killers. It's rather how a player plays that killer in a match. Be it tunnel at 5 gens, camp, BM, slug etc.
